I received this product for my honest review as a bzzagent. I tried it on myself and my 6 year old daughter. I myself have very thick, course and extremely wavy hair. I feel the dryer does dry well and fairly fast for such a little machine. However, I could not actually style my hair with it. It doesn't flip my layers the way my blow dryer and round brush does or totally smooth the frizz down. I felt in order to get it to smooth better I had to hold my hair tight and keep going over it. Maybe if it was a round brush it would work better to grip the hair and flip layered hair ! I do love the thought of using one tool vs having to hold a brush and a dryer. If I just used this on my hair. I feel it would take forever to get the look I desire, if at all. I used it to brush my hair in sections and get it a little smoother but I still had to go back in with my dryer and round brush to smooth my ends and flip them. I feel if you have more fine/straight hair this would work great on you. It's light weight too. Using it on my daughter it worked better and faster to smooth out her hair. I wouldn't not recommend it. It is a great tool just not sure it's best for my hair type as I feel it would take forever to get it completely smooth and styled the way I like it.Janna
My blow dry straightener time has cut in over half after buying the knot Dr! Make sure your hair is a little air dryed (as you can see the brush can come off and you can use it directly as a hair dryer) and do it in sections. I have very fine hair, but A WHOLE LOT Of it. It used to take me like over 2 hours to dry and straighten my hair. My top layer is already very straight but underneath it’s extremely wavy. This product definitely took care of that. Sturdy construction and easy to handle! I used this for myself, and while it didn’t provide the level of control I prefer with a more traditional blowout (blow dryer and round brush), it was a good option for blowing my 1/2 natural, 1/2 relaxed 3b hair straight when I was in a hurry. I decided to use this for my standard poodle after going back to my traditional blow dryer for myself, and it works so well for him! It takes a while to brush him out but that’s expected with grooming a large dog. I like the versatility of being able to control temperature, and the stability of the brush when it’s connected to the dryer. I like not having the traditional shape of a 90degree handle on other blow dryers. Without the brush, the airstream is strong and direct enough to part his hair when it blows, so I can ensure he is dry all the way through his coat. Love the style and look of this hair dryer, and it does work very well. The cool setting is impressively really COOL air, and the power in all settings is strong. The reason I am giving this 3 stars (almost gave 2) is because of the strangely SMALL power cord. My last hair dryer had no problems reaching to my sink, so I didn't give it a second thought when ordering this one. It is so short that I will need to get a long extension cord to get it to reach. The last new hair dryer I bought was a used Revlon hair dryer that I got at Goodwill about ten years ago. That thing has been virtually indestructible and I loved everything about it! I use it on the low heat and low speed settings, but even the high heat setting doesn’t get too terribly hot that it’s going to fry my fine hair off. However, if you have thicker or course hair you might find it doesn’t give off enough heat to hold a style. My first time owning or using the fantastic little tool. I used the smaller barrel as my hair is short and tends to frizz. Was able to dry and style all at the same time. Hair came out impressive. I’ve only used it twice and feel that the ‘High’ setting isn’t hot enough. I need more time to have it work for me. I need to get used to it. Play with it. You are rushing me for an opinion!!! I bought this because I just had shoulder surgery and cannot raise my right arm above my head. This allowed me to do a blow out and style my hair like I normally would. I still had to go over with a straightener. I’m not sure if that is due to the product or because I was doing it with one hand. I have short hair that is somewhere between my ears and chin. I’m not sure if I should return and continue my search for a better one or keep this one. It certainly works better then the Conair model for sure. Which btw, had a strong chemical scent when turned on and the motor was SO loud. Revlon which was cheaper also did it better. Simple and effective motor wasn’t unbearably loud…However I can’t help but feel like it’s cheap.. the thin aluminum or metal wrapped around the brush head combined with heat makes me feel like I’m damaging my hair.. there’s got to be a better one out there with more thoughtful innovative materials for hair. I love this styling hair dryer! I’ve been using one version or another of it for over 15 years. I think this is my 3rd or 4th one. If I remember correctly, I’ve never had the motor blow out, it’s always been the locking mechanism that broke or that I dropped the curling brush and the plastic broke where it would engage with the locking mechanism. It’s fantastic for my medium length, thick, naturally wavy hair. I usually wait until my hair is partially dry before using and then style with the larger curling brush to minimize my slight, natural frizz and maximize my natural waves. For me, it’s worth every penny, even if I do end up replacing it every so often!Kat

I have owned two of these exact same models. Why? Because I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my hair when using this hot-air roller brush! My hair was shiny, full, beautifully wavy, soft – ALL GOOD! The downside and the real disappointment was in very short order, the brush would no longer spin even though it continued to emit heat. I loved how the brush managed my hair so much, I thought maybe the first one was a "lemon" and right away, I bought another to replace the first one. The same thing happened with the second one! And rapidly! No long term use before failure on both brushes. I still have the second brush and look at it longingly willing it to work, but alas, that is just not going to happen! I love what this brush and blow out do to my hair. But I have thick hair and the bristles are very weak, which makes it very difficult to do more than small amongst of hair at a time. Also, there’s a gap between the brush attachment and the wand which frequently pulls my hair and twists it into a knot. I really wanted to love this blowdryer. I've been looking for one with a spin brush because it is easier on my arms holding a dryer up. The heat power on this dryer is very weak even on high compared to my old trusted Revlon Spin Dryer brush that finally died. The brush is not removable which is another negative for me and takes more room when packing. And, I say it's poorly made as wow does it yank my hair which is painful. There is a space between the brush barrel and the end caps that catches my hair and pools it out. Big Ouch! By the time I finished drying my hair with this dryer I was amazed at the amount of hair stuck in this divide. I do not recommend this dryer until they make the blower stronger and correct the way it's made in the mold to fix this painful opening at either end of the barrel. I wish I didn't throw out the packaging because I really want to return this. It's so obnoxiously loud! When I'm blow-drying near my ears I have to cover with one hand or I end up with ringing or an earache. *different color* I bought this hair dryer on a whim for $19.99 on the Ulta App. Honestly, I bought it so my daughter would stop stealing my hair dryer.. but I used it today and O.M.G!! My hair is thick, wavy, coarse, and a little frizzy. Recently my hairdresser has been blowing out my hair and straightening it. Most of the time she can get my hair beautifully smooth just by using a round brush and a hair dryer. When I try to replicate this at home, I just feel like I don't have enough hands to do it well. I’ve been checking out hair dryers that have brush attachments as a potentially handier option than what I have. I had been looking at another dryer with only a round brush attachment, but after getting the T3 Airebrush, I'm very glad I chose this one with two brush attachments. I found that I liked the flat brush better than the round brush, even though I was not expecting to use the flat brush attachment at all! Since air is only coming out of one side of the flat brush as opposed to all sides of the round brush, the air and heat is more concentrated causing the hair to dry faster. The flat brush smoothed and straightened my hair very nicely. I used the round brush by winding the hair section and holding it for about 8-10 seconds then ending with a shot of cool air before unwinding. This took more time than I usually spend on my hair, but it got me at least 3 complements at work after drying my hair with the round brush! The round brush dries the root area faster and creates more volume. Unless you air-dry your hair, you'll need a second blow dryer. *Once the cool air button is depressed it takes 8-10 seconds for the air to come out cool. *Cool button is oddly placed near the power button, so the power is easy to hit instead of the cool. The T3 Airebrush is a great package if you’re in the market a specialty product like this. While it does a great job, it misses getting 5 stars because of the need for an additional blow dryer and its imperfect implementation of the cool air shot. The addition of a simple diffuser and a tip to allow the unit to be used as an ordinary blow dryer would have made it a more complete package. I knew I needed this hot/blow dry brush in my life! For the last several years I’ve been regularly styling my hair with a blow dryer + round brush combo. The Airebrush Duo is everything I expected from a T3 product—it is thoughtfully designed, highly functional, quality performance, excellent results, and as all T3 products are absolutely gorgeous to look at. Love the two attachments for different looks, the different heat and air settings for the most hair customization I’ve seen in a brush, and a lovely volume and cool shot boost. This brush doesn’t get unbearably hot like others. The design of the brush itself is also very comfortable to hold and fairly lightweight. My arms don’t get as sore! I adore the brush design as the bristles and spacing of the air holes are so well designed—it’s very grippy and I don’t find that my hair blows all over or falls off the brush easily, so you get amazing tension and smoothness. It is also much easier to maintain than other brushes I’ve tried and I can easily remove any hair caught in the bristles. If you’re an avid blow dryer + round brush person, you won’t regret this purchase. Freeing up one hand is life changing and a lot less sore! I have fine hair but a lot of it and I find the perfect setting is the medium or highest air setting on heat level 2 or 3. As expected from any T3 products the results are smooth, silky, and touchable soft, frizz free hair. About my hair: stick straight, baby fine, but tons of it. It's currently just past my shoulders in length, all one layer, no bangs, and gets oily fairly quickly/easily (I can usually only go every other day between washes, and usually involves at least some dry shampoo on the skip day) I've been wanting to try a blow dry brush for the longest time, but kept putting it off because I didn't want to spend money on yet another gadget that does what I can do with my already-owned round brush and hair dryer. Personally, I think I was right. I get the same results from this as I do with my round brush and Dyson hair dryer. That being said, it *is* handy to have the brush and blow dryer all in one, because you're not having to try to finagle the brush in a way that it isn't in the way of the warm air from the blow dryer but still productive. Usually, I just let my hair air dry in the mornings because I run out of time to blow dry and my hair dries pretty quickly, but now that it is getting colder, I will need to start blow drying my hair in the mornings, so this all-in-one will come in handy to at least speed up the drying. TL;DR: Cons: * the device has a really long handle which can be cumbersome and hard to manage * there are literally no instructions in the box on how to use the device, other than suggestions for temperature settings based on hair type. For someone who has never used something like this, that might be intimidating, because there are options on the dryer that aren't fully explained. * you're technically supposed to blow dry your hair to 80% dry and THEN use the device. When I tested it, I did it straight from being towel dried and had no issue (and it actually dried just as fast as it does when I use my hair dryer) Pros: * eliminates the need for a round brush and hair dryer * dries hair quickly * interchangeable brushes (paddle and round) * different temperature and air speed options for a personalized dry * power cord is a nice length, which was super helpful for me since the one and only outlet in my bathroom isn't near the sink/vanity Bottom line: I wouldn't personally go out of my way to get one, but now that I have it, I will keep using it. Great value!!! If you cannot afford the Dyson air wrap , this brush can basically give you the same results for less than $20. It works best on dry hair or at least 80-90% dry so to prevent extra heat damage. Yes, the hair gets tangled. The directions say: “Release curls by placing the finger of one hand on the cool tip and pressing the rotate barrel button with the other hand. Be sure to let the cool tip rotate while you press the button.” This gave me the impression that the barrel rotates. Silly me. The barrel did not rotate. I called the company and was told that it does not rotate, but it just loosens and lets you pull the brush out. It does NOT loosen. It actually pulls out any curt and lift that I managed to get in. It does not seem to have much drying power. The barrel gets hot, but there isn’t enough air blowing to dry my hair. My old 300W Conair does a much better job but the barrel is too big for my newly shortened hair. I’d still be using it if the smaller brush hadn’t gotten lost in my recent move. Since I bought the Revlon for the smaller brush rotating brush, it's going back today. Additionally, the Revlon Perfect Heat 300W Hot Air Styler and Dryer is marked 500W. I couldn't get 1 brush to even wrap into my hair to do anything. the other is so hard if you get too close to your scalp that you need to do for body it hurts like –. This is a well made dryer that comes with a diffuser, cone and blow out tool which it should for the price. It it a beautiful grey speckled color and it is light in weight. However, the digital buttons are placed on the side of the handle in such a place that when you are holding the dryer your fingers touch the buttons and push them causing them to increase/decrease the temp/air. Thus, you can never have a steady heat nor air setting because you have to keep moving your hand to adjust back to your original setting. Very annoying and why I had to return it. It did dry well and with great products like Loma for my curly, shoulder length hair, my curls came out fabulous using the diffuser. I bought this hair dryer because Paul Mitchell was the brand recommended by my new beautician. I hadn't been using a hair dryer for years. I was shown how to blow dry my hair to straighten it and now I am learning to do it myself. The hair dryer is comfortable to hold, not heavy or clunky. I was really excited to try this out…my hair is fine and flat, the length falling past my shoulders. My first use was using it on my dry hair. I liked how it curled the ends under. The second time I tried it with semi wet hair following the instructions. It does take some getting used to…with the rolling direction, but other than that it is pretty self explanatory…however I did not find it gave me very much volume. I felt like using my round brush and blow dryer did the same effect. I will be keeping the product because it did make my hair softer than what blow drying would achieve. I am interested to see how it works in the summer when frizz is at its highest. Also, I tried both times not using any product in my hair. I am going to keep at it and add some volumizing products to see what results come from that. Unless my hair gets a lot more volume when using this with products, I may feel it is a little over priced.Danielle
I have tried various brush dryers and this one is pretty much perfect for my thin shoulder length hair. I use the smaller brush for more volume and haven’t even used the spin feature yet. Other products are way too hot but this high heat is fine. I can’t wait to experiment with the spinning!
I didn’t want plastic bristles because they pull my hair so I got this one. The bristles are soft unfortunately too soft. It doesn’t really grip the hair and style it. It just kind of very softly brushed. The turning feature is scary. It goes both directions and is easy to hit the wrong button. I do like this over all but not exactly what I hoped for. I used this on my daughter's hair. It's very easy to use. It glides easily through the hair resulting in beautiful curls and waves. Their hair is normally very frizzy I noticed this kept the frizzes at bay. Now of course my daughter's hair length and texture are different. I tried to pick a brush that could work on both of them the same. No, you definitely have to get the brush that's recommended for you. Which sucks to me at the very least make it to wear I could change the brush head versus having to purchase another one. Now although it did work on both of my girls. I did notice it worked better on the one it was actually recommended for. Also, I should mention I'm African American. It didn't give my girls those beachy waves or overly curly hair. Omg everyone needs to throw out any heating hair product right now and run, not walk, to get the Calista PerfecterPro+. I can’t express how excited I am I finally have a hair style that looks like salon finished every single time. My hair is fine and curly. I’ve always blow dry and followed with extreme heat for flat ironing to straighten, but that process always burned out my hair and looked too straight. The name of this product is misleading. There’s no brush, only plastic prongs that will tangle and frizz hair. I really wanted to like this, but it just doesn’t work for me. The plastic brush creates friction and therefore frizzy hair, and the curling iron doesn’t really curl. Regular curling irons and even straightening irons do a better job creating the styles intended with this product. It’s not for me, maybe someone with a very specific need could make this work, but I can’t see what circumstances would warrant it. I’d suggest moving on from this product. I got this Volumizer because my blow dryer went kaput, and I wanted a dryer that wouldn’t make me look like I had gone out in a wind storm. This volumizer definitely works! I felt like it made my hair look thicker but at the same time smooth after I washed. I did towel dry my hair before I used it, as suggested in the booklet. It didn’t dry my hair any faster than a regular dryer, so if your concern is speed, you would need something else. However, it doesn’t do too bad if you want to smooth your hair as you colonize. I like the fact that you can remove the brush attachment to clean and I used it briefly without to dry my hair some at the roots before I did the rest. The temp settings are nice too, if you don’t want high heat or you have thinner hair, in which lower heat is probably better, and the cool setting is also nice if you don’t need heat. I used the plastic sleeve to cover the brush part back after it cooled to protect it until next time. Overall, a great product, and affordable.NolaF
I was given this to review by TryIt Sampling. Very nice little hairdryer. The attached brush makes it easy to blow dry your hair. However this is not for short hair. I have super short hair and I found it not to be helpful at all when the brush was attached. So I remove the brush and use just the dryer part and I got very nice results as well dried it fast and didn’t get too hot as I did not put it on the hot setting. So I let my daughter use it who has not quite shoulder length hair and she found it to be a very nice hair dryer as well. Although when the hair is really wet after a shower it does take longer to use this dryer. She found she used her prior hairdryer to dry the hair to just damp and then she would finish it with this hairdryer using the attached brush. She really liked the ease of use. How nicely it fit in her hand it was not awkward at all. It made the hair smooth and shiny. Not frizzy at all. She then tried it on my granddaughter who has just longer than shoulder length hair. Once again,It took longer to dry the hair using just this hairdryer but it really made a huge difference in her hair. It smoothed it down and made it soft and shiny. And it flipped the ends and made them bouncy and curly. It Gave her hair a whole new look. My granddaughter was extremely happy with the look when she was done. They have been using this study since I have gave it to them to use. It has 4 settings: high, med, low and cool. The medium setting we found to be the best. The brush attachment locks in place and it shows and unlock using paddle lock icons. It is matte black With red accents. Very pleasing to the eye. All in all this is a very nice little hairdryer. This is a great blow dryer for those who want smooth looks with volume. It is easy to grasp and hold while using and doesn't bother my wrists or hands, and is not heavy. It has several heat modes so you can choose according to your hair needs. I use the medium setting for my fine hair. I section my hair and use the dryer on those parts, working my way up. It takes little time to dry, as the brush lifts and separates your hair. You can go under the hair like I do, for volume, or for smoothing just brush it down on the hair strands. It can get quite hot, so be careful with your fingers. I can dry my hair much quicker with this dryer by taking sections, compared to a normal blow dryer and brush routine. It cools quickly so that I'm able to put it away when I'm done with my makeup. I use a flat iron to finish up, but normally it is just minimal, because the blow dryer does such a great job. I would recommend this for anyone who wants smoother hair. My hair is pretty straight, so I don't know how it works with someone with some curl. I can set it on the low setting to dry my bangs slowly, so I can get them where I want them. I would definitely recommend this dryer over some others that I have had. The brush is not as large as my older brand, that was heavy and harder to control My hair is just touching my collar and the other brand wasn't able to get the shorter hairs underneath, but this one does. Bottom line is this brush gets the job done. While it doesn't get my hair perfectly straight, I can finish with a few swipes of my flat iron if I want pin straight hair. Otherwise, it gets my hair to an acceptable level of straightness. It saved me blow drying time and shorten the length of time my hair is exposed to heat. I have super stubborn curly hair that used to take me over an hour to straighten by blow drying with a round brush and then flat iron. Now it takes me 30 minutes from dripping wet hair to acceptably straight hair. My only complaint is the bristles on the brush is pretty sparse so the grip isn't as great as a normal round brush.
Have been using the Revlon blowdry brysh for 2yrs, had to replace it, because the short bristles where all matted. I never got the result from it that i desired. Hair was smooth, but always flat. Even with a sculpting gel. Decided on this one, have only used it once, but im loving the results, my hair had volume & body, I was thrilled, even got some curl back on the ends. Did take longer to dry tho, I used a few sprays of flat iron protrctant, & my sculpting gel. I started off on low heat, then used high toward the end. Tool is very light weight, & way less noisy. Mayb I did the heat backwards, but it def worked for me. As for how long it will last, I couldnt say just yet. But as many others have stated, I too will b buying a back up one just in case. I got my hair confidence back after just one use. Looked very close to the salon blowout, tht my hair stylist does & withought the fuss. I am sadly inept to the brush & blow dryer skill. I slept on my hair last nite, & today it still looks good. So all in all im happy I tried it. Would hve given 5 stars if a 1&1/2 barrel was an option. My hair is down past my shoulders. So all in all im very happy I decided to give it a whirl.
Don’t waste your time buying this. The first one I bought lasted for several years. I loved it so much so of course I replaced it with the same. But it only lasted 13 months and was no longer under warranty. Again I loved it so I thought it was just a lemon so I purchased another. Only lasted for 6 months, bought another and lasted for 4 months and I only use it 3 times a week. And they want you to pay to ship it to them and send them $5 to pay for them to ship it back. I can’t get Customer Service to look into why this is happening. I haven’t been able to find another styling product like this. Has anyone else found one???

I bought this hot air brush to replace a different brand which was getting too hot. My hair is thin and the slightly lower heat on this brush works great without burning my scalp. There are two negatives. First, the handle is a little too wide to maneuver easily. Second, it sometimes is hard to let go of my hair after several seconds of curling. I imagine someone with thicker hair would have a very difficult time releasing the curl.Janet M.
I bought this and after 6 months of using it consistantly the attachment started to become loose. This might be because I dropped it a few times putting it down to go to the next section. I still use it without attachments and it works as a normal dryer but I am about to buy another one because with the attachments would dry my hair in less than 10 minutes. I want the dyson but girl 500 vs 40 is a no brainer. If the attachments do it again I may consider saving up for the dyson.

I was quite surprised how much I liked this styler. It gave me super silky, straight hair that lasted throughout the day. The first time I tried it, I did not use any product and got great results. The second time I used a styling cream and the results were about the same. Next, I tried the method they suggest to get more volume. Honestly, all three ways I tried this gave me about the same results. I read reviews that said it replaces people's blow dryer and round brush. I would say it is more accurate to say this replaces blow drying with a paddle brush then using a straightening iron. It truly saves you a step. I also read people complain of the weight and how it tired their arms. I did not experience this but I regularly work out so that may be the difference. The only real complaint I have, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the method used to turn the dryer on and off. It takes two hands since it is like a dial on the bottom. In my opinion, it would be much easier to use if I could turn it on and off with just one hand. I would also recommend that you give your hair a rough dry with the hair dryer or let it air dry for a while. Otherwise it will take a lot of time to dry. Still probably faster than the dryer and iron but I could see people's arms getting real tired this way. Other than that, I have to say I think this is a great product and I was very impressed with my results. I would definitely recommend this anyone looking to achieve straight silky hair.Nicky
Over the years I have tried many ways to dry and style my hair – brushes, blow dryers, straighteners, and all kinds of other tools. Nothing ever will compare to this InStyler Hot Hair Brush. The brush itself is made extremely well. It's easy to hold onto and easy to grip while using. It has three different settings – cool air, heat, and higher heat (all with air flow). The great thing about this is the control is at the base and you have to turn it to power it on and select the setting you want to use. This comes in really handy so you don't bump it while in use and shut it off or change the setting. My hair is to the middle of my back and is very thick, so getting it dry and styling it is always a huge ordeal – it usually takes ours but with this brush I can have my hair dry and styled in under 30 minutes. I usually use either hot setting to dry and style my hair and it work so quickly. It makes my hair so soft, gives it great volume, and makes it look so much healthier. If you are looking for a great blowout look, this brush is exactly what you need. It styles with little to no effort which is nice when you are a mom with little time to yourself like me. If you are looking for a more wave/curly look, all you need to do is put it on on the cooler setting and use it like a diffuser (like the ones you use with a blow dryer) you will get perfect waves and a great style. I am very happy with this brush, I don't see myself ever needing my straightener, round brushes, or blow dryer again. If it's wrong to be in love with a hair strainer then I don't want to be right! I love it! It does what it's supposed to do and does an amazing job. It not only dried and straightened my hair, but it had a soft sleek look to it! It felt soft and flowy and I could easily run my fingers easily through my hair. I've used other straightners before that made my hair feel brittle and hard. Not with the Maven Ceramic Hot Air brush! Not only will it straighten your hair, but it will add waves and curls to it if thats what your wanting! To get curls just scrunch your hair on the brush and you will have nice little curls. There are many YouTube videos that show how to get different styles with this amazing Hot air brush!! I would highly recommend this brush for not only straightening your hair, but to add cute little curls to it! I am so glad I was sent the Maven Ceramic Hot Air brush to try. Plus points are that it's lighter, easier as it's only device not two and takes the strain out of styling on your arms and upper back. I was skeptical this would make my hair frizzy like a hair dryer but I was so wrong. My hair is softer than ever! This does not feel as hot as a hairdryer or curlers but gives me an amazing blow dry look! Takes me longer but is much faster than a blow dry with a hair dryer and brush and gives me a smoother finish! Changed the blow dry forever. This is just the most brilliant hot hairbrush. My last one was by Charles Worthingron and eventually it gave up the ghost after almost daily use for 15 years. This one is even better – more than a bit it is supremely superior and I thought my old one was good. I look as though I have stepped out of the hairdresser after each time and the style holds right through to the next wash 3 days later. Love it. Just hope it lasts as long as my old one did.
