I bought this because I just had shoulder surgery and cannot raise my right arm above my head. This allowed me to do a blow out and style my hair like I normally would. I still had to go over with a straightener. I’m not sure if that is due to the product or because I was doing it with one hand. I have short hair that is somewhere between my ears and chin. I’m not sure if I should return and continue my search for a better one or keep this one. It certainly works better then the Conair model for sure. Which btw, had a strong chemical scent when turned on and the motor was SO loud. Revlon which was cheaper also did it better. Simple and effective motor wasn’t unbearably loud…However I can’t help but feel like it’s cheap.. the thin aluminum or metal wrapped around the brush head combined with heat makes me feel like I’m damaging my hair.. there’s got to be a better one out there with more thoughtful innovative materials for hair. I love this styling hair dryer! I’ve been using one version or another of it for over 15 years. I think this is my 3rd or 4th one. If I remember correctly, I’ve never had the motor blow out, it’s always been the locking mechanism that broke or that I dropped the curling brush and the plastic broke where it would engage with the locking mechanism. It’s fantastic for my medium length, thick, naturally wavy hair. I usually wait until my hair is partially dry before using and then style with the larger curling brush to minimize my slight, natural frizz and maximize my natural waves. I am extremely disappointed in this blow dryer. Primarily, the attachments. They don’t seem to fit properly and constantly fall off. This is a huge setback when you are trying to get ready and have to keep stopping to pick up off the floor and re-attach. I love my larger Hot Tools dryer but needed a smaller version for travel. I have fine, curly hair so must use a diffuser or the curls just blow away. This dryer comes with a diffuser but the blower is so high that it still blows my curls out. I tried the diffuser from my larger dryer as it has less holes for the air to go through but the blower still manages to blow too hard through it. I have very long wavy hair and sometimes I despise having to stand there forever trying to blow dry my hair because my arms get so tired with regular hair dryers but I was pleasantly surprised by how lightweight and compact the Remington Products – Pro Wet2Style™ Dryer was!! I love that it comes with several different attachments, I especially love the detangler/straightener tool! It has comb like teeth and with the vertical design of the dryer it makes it easier to dry and brush and the same time. It took less time to dry my hair than it normally takes and that's a big plus! My hair actually felt healthy and straight after using the Remington Products – Pro Wet2Style™ Dryer. The only two things that keep me from giving a 5 star review is that if you accidentally hit yourself in the head with the comb attachment, it HURTS!!!! The ends are a bit sharp feeling if you end up bumping your head with it. The other con for me is the buttons on the handle, I kept accidentally turning the heat setting down and the air flow off!! I really enjoy using my Pro Wet2Style Dryer. I have used it after taking a shower and my hair is damp after using the towel on it. My hair is long and straight. With using the dryer on my hair, it gets dried quickly and is quite easy to brush after drying it and it styles quickly and beautifully. My hair is kind of difficult to brush after showering and towel drying it because it gets tangled. Using the attachments that come with the dryer help my hair be much less tangled and my hair becomes much easier to brush through. My hair is less damaged after using the dryer and the attachments. This is a well made dryer that comes with a diffuser, cone and blow out tool which it should for the price. It it a beautiful grey speckled color and it is light in weight. However, the digital buttons are placed on the side of the handle in such a place that when you are holding the dryer your fingers touch the buttons and push them causing them to increase/decrease the temp/air. Thus, you can never have a steady heat nor air setting because you have to keep moving your hand to adjust back to your original setting. Very annoying and why I had to return it. It did dry well and with great products like Loma for my curly, shoulder length hair, my curls came out fabulous using the diffuser. I also didn't like using my smaller hair dryer because it took so long for my hair to dry and it was always frizzy when I was done so I had to use the hair iron on it too. This dryer dries my hair quickly, I keep it set at a cooler level and there is no frizz or need to use that hot iron. My hair looks fuller and thicker with this dryer. The only part I don't like is that it is so large it is a bit hard for me to handle.jkmn
I love this hair dryer! My hair is long, coarse, frizzy and very thick. It also holds water. With cheaper hair dryers, it takes about 45 minutes to blow out my hair and then I would have to smooth over it with the flat iron. With this hair dryer, it takes me 15 minutes from soaking wet hair to completely dry hair, smooth hair. I haven’t had to use the flat iron afterwards. Highly recommended!!!Kimmy
I own a curly specific salon and we use various dryers including Dyson. Apples to apples the Shark IQ works better and at half the cost. We bought the Shark IQ in CAD for $199 and the diffuser attachment for $39 and it was love at first use! You’ll see amazing diffusing resulting in shiny curls and less frizz. This hair dryer serves the purpose, but it is quite loud. This dryer has the heat/speed settings combined. The Revlon dryer I had before had them separated, which I personally like better. I was going back and forth between this dryer and the Dyson. I'd read a lot of reviews on both and opted to go with this one during the recent Beauty Insider sale. I have long hair that stops just underneath my bra strap line. My hair isn't super thick, also not thin, but I have a lot of it. It's also Keratin treated which does speed up the drying process as well, but I instantly noticed a difference the first time I used the dryer. The overall drying time took about 15 minutes total and that was with the rough dry and then the styling with the round brush. My hair looked like I'd just had it blown out professionally and it felt great. It also kept my second (and yes, third day) hair looking good, too. I typically only wash my hair once a week, but I may go up to twice a week since this makes it much quicker! The dryer itself is gorgeous, too. Love the rose gold accents. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the button placement: they're on the back of the dryer instead of on the inside, so I do need to stop to change fan and temp, rather than doing it with my thumb as I'm drying. I shopped around for a new smaller blowdryer and found the reviews on this product very favorable so I ordered it. I've used it to blowdry my hair and found it very easy to handle and was able to blow dry my hair in just a few minutes on high setting. I'm a senior and have weak knees so I have to sit down on the toilet seat to blow dry my hair and cord is long enough to reach over to the other side of the sink. Love the color also. I've tried several of these, and this one is the best of them. It dries my thick, coarse hair quickly. Usually I let it air dry, while doing makeup, getting dressed, etc. Sometimes doing a quick rough dry with my regular blow dry with my regular hair dryer, but honestly I think this probably isn't even necessary, as far as for time sake. It may be quicker not to rough dry first. Mostly I do that just to try to minimize heat damage, because this does get pretty hot. This doesn't seem to do any damage, though, and makes my hair look so soft and smooth and healthy looking! I like the smaller barrel. I wanted to be able to create some wave at the ends with it, and I can do it to some extent, with the right technique. I couldn't with the bigger ones I've tried. Was going back and forth between this one and the Revlon one. After watching some YouTube reviews picked this one and glad I did. It does not disappoint! I have thick, long (mid back) wavy hair. I was able to blow dry and style a soaking wet head, right out of the shower, in 26 mins. I usually let me hair air dry first so excited to use it again knowing I can probably get it down to 15 mins. I will add, this movement to dry my hair is quick for me because I have been round brush drying my hair for years so there may be a learning curve for others. I also don't expect pin straight from always using a round brush so this does have some body and flow which I like. But you could quickly run a straightener through at the end if you like that look. I saw people stating it gets hot but that makes sense, it should. The barrel is ceramic just like a curling iron so it will get hot. Keep you hands on the cool tip and don't grab your hair right from it. Grab from the top of your hair, give it a second or switch to cool before changing sections of hair. Okay I cannot say enough great things about this brush.. I am truly obsessed. My hair is slightly wavy without much shape or style when left to air dry. Prior to the brush, I would often blow dry and lightly straighten or attempt to blow it out with a round brush and blow dryer. This brush seriously changed my life. I could not believe how easy it was to use and to style my hair! I have found that I prefer to blow dry my hair a bit instead of using the brush on soaking hair because it has been saving time. I will say that I definitely recommend heat protectant and hair oil because if not used carefully, hair can be pulled out. I would suggest watching a video or tutorial depending on how you want to style your hair but go get this brush! I have been asked multiple times if I just got a hair cut because it looks that good! I also find that I really don't have to touch it up once I initially style my hair and the look has lasted me 3 days between washes without having to redo it. I treated myself to a new hair dryer for xmas, as this brand was recommended to me by my hairdresser and I wanted to have my hair look like it does when I leave my hair appointments and my previous hair dryer was I felt making my hair fuzzy…. I have found the Parlux to be excellent and have noticed the difference after drying my hair.. it seems much smoother and after straightening it stays straight for longer. I would recommend this brand, although I do feel this particular model is not as powerful as my previous hair dryer.. so could be slightly more powerful I feel. I am SO fussy about hairdryers, I have tried many in all price points, from $20 to $250. I'm finally in LOVE. I've tried the Drybar Buttercup, Harry Josh, Super Solano, and many more. They are all very nice dryers but I did not perceive them to be much better or different than my Rusk W8less, which was the best I had found in overall performance, appearance, price and comfort before discovering the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i. This dryer does everything right. It's SO pretty and fun to look at and use. It's substantially big BUT featherweight. The controls are in the right place ergonomically and it has a nice variety of settings. It blows hard and hot enough (my original T3 73808 only had 2 settings, was very hot, but did not blow hard enough, making my hair lose too much volume, which had turned me off to the brand until now.) This one dries SO FAST and SO GENTLY yet while still feeling the power. I think the built in "ionizer" that this one has versus the non-Luxe model (which I haven't tried but noticed that it weighs a tiny bit less, I think for that reason) might be making the extra-superior performance difference. The air it blows really feels soft but strong. My hair feels healthier now, softer, not fried or dried out. I have dark brown medium textured curly hair that I wear very long and straight, with Keratin treatment and gray coverage hair color in it. I'm using less product in my hair now and achieving better and faster straightening, and shiny, silky results. The only thing I'd like is a colder cool shot, which is a minor point. It's about the same as most. Bottom line, I find that there REALLY is a difference with this dryer. It is unique and worth trying.Penelope38
I really like this hair dryer however, there appears to be a flaw. I’ve been through two in a short period of time. The motor starts to start running really slow and the coils will turn flaming red. It was warranted the first time, but not the second time. It’s weird that both dryers had the same issue that happens in about a years time. I have fine curly hair that gets frizzy easily if I don’t put my Pureology pure volume blow dry amplifier gel or Pureology texture twist reshaping styler in while wet or damp before it starts to dry. My hair has always taken a long time to dry, somewhere between 30 and 60 minutes. Not anymore thanks to my T3 Featherweight 2! I’ve cut down half my drying time since now it’s dry in 10-15 minutes, not including extra time if it's frizzy and I use my new T3 twirl curling iron or T3 single pass flat iron. I straighten it with 1 or all of my 4 round brushes: T3 Volume 3.0 round, T3 Volume 2.5 round, Scunci 1” round boar bristle, or Olivia Garden ceramic+ionic thermal oval brush. This hair dryer has a big motor which makes it a bit heavier than other dryers, that doesn't bother me. Another great feature is how quiet it is especially if you have a child's hair to dry like myself. Getting my daughter ready for school in the mornings can be crazy around my house. This dryer helps me with both time management and with its quiet engine, she sits still and lets me dry her hair without a fuss. Easy to use, smooth results I have tried a few of these as some work better than others. Its very easy to use and it dries my hair faster than regular blow dryer. The only thing I have to do is blow dry my roots to add volume. This product isn't able to give me volume at roots. Note if you have really thick long hair, you might need to blow dry your hair a bit before using this. It takes longer to dry and style thick hair and you will end up going through multiple passes which can be more damaging to hair. Make sure to clean the brush as hair gets stuck and can start to burn and smell. Overall it does good job.Alice
Fantastic for Smoothing Long Curly Hair I really love this combination brush hair dryer. I have never owned one before and was not entirely certain what to expect or how well it would work with my hair, which is quite long and takes a long time to dry. After using this, I think it will replace my regular hair dryer on most occasions. First, the brush is absolutely huge. It's fantastic for smoothing hair out and creates a nice soft straightness. Second, it's incredibly lightweight so it's much easier to use than a brush and a blow dryer that work separately . Finally, the air blows hot enough and strong enough that it cuts my hair drying time in half. You can also use the low setting or a cool setting, but I found that even on the high setting the shape of the brush helps keeps the cuticle smooth and the hair looking nice and shiny. At first I wondered how high quality the product would be as the plastic portion of the dryer does feel a bit lightweight, however, this is also a bonus if your arms get tired holding a dryer under brush above your head. For anyone who has physical challenges that make hair drying and styling difficult, this might be a great option as it is nice and big yet incredibly light. The hair dryer is really pretty and it's fairly lightweight. The cord is long, which I love! The settings are nice. Besides the cool burst button, you have two other switches. One controls the power – off, medium power and high power. The bottom one controls the heat levels: No heat, which is actually very cool like the cool burst button but on constant, low heat, and high heat. It comes with three attachments: a rather large diffuser, which is nice, and two concentrators – one wider than the other. The dryer is semi-compact in size so it's a great size to travel with as it won't take up much space in your bag or take up a lot of room in your bathroom. The description states it has a 2,000w DC motor and when I used it it didn't feel much more powerful than my 1875w that I have here. So I plugged in my old one and compared and they were pretty much the same as far as power. Upon looking closer at the box it states 1875 w performance. I feel that 1875 w should have been in the description instead of mentioning the 2,000w DC motor, and for that I'm taking off one star. Good hair dryer but not more powerful than my $25 1875w dryer, but it is more compact, much prettier, and has a longer cord. It seems like it's built pretty solid, too. I'll also say that it feels more balanced in the hand than my current hair dryer and that's probably due to the compact design. It doesn't tire out your wrist or arm as quickly, or at all, really. This is a very good hair dryer. It dries quickly and efficiently. The only two things that are disappointing are that, one, it is quite heavy. It was said, in a review, that it was very light weight. It is not. The other thing is that after two uses, the lettering that tells what the settings are is disappearing. So I have to guess as I haven’t used it enough to set it right the first time. I travel a lot and bought this specifically for a trip to France. Love that you can adjust the voltage and use it in both the US and Europe. Now I take it on EVERY trip. It's small but very powerful. Additionally I use a diffuser much of the time so I bought it with the Conair Euro Style Diffuser which has a "universal fit". The dryer is tiny and the diffuser looks like it engulfs the little dryer! But it holds tight to it and works perfectly. I was worried that because it covers up so much of the dryer, the dryer may overheat but it did not. I have now used them together for numerous trips without any issues. My dryer died all the sudden and resorted to my travel dryer. After a week, my husband convinced me to get a new hair dryer. Ulta has so many to pick from and even from testing them I couldn't tell much difference. Went with one that said for thick hair and fast drying. After using it the first time, I could see a huge difference. My hair feels so soft and smooth. I have a short bob hair cut and my hair just falls in to place even with blow drying it upside down. I can use the medium heat and the highest fan setting and it dries in less than 5 minutes. Mind you, even with a bob I have a lot of thick hair! Definitely would recommend this hair dryer.JulieLF
Despite the buzz about ionic hair dryers, they are absolutely NOT right for all hair types. The Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 3000 dryer gave me the worst blow dry of my life. My hair is about medium thickness: not thin, not thick, but satisfactory. It is naturally beach wavy. Somehow, even with the diffuser, this dryer left my hair limp and straight, which would have been fine on a day that I WANTED to wear my hair straight; however, I only like to wear my hair straight about 2-3 times a year. If I air dry my hair or use an old-fashioned non-ionic dryer (which are impossible to find these days), then my hair maintains a nice wave and natural volume. I was shocked at how limp my hair was after using this blow dryer. After 20 minutes, my hair wasn't even dry, and when I tested the "High" setting briefly, it was terribly loud. Hot Tools needs to go back to making non-ionic options for dryers. We don't all want stick-straight hair, for Pete's sake. This awful thing literally took all the personality out of my hair.CindyFish
