I’ve read many things about using cotton / tshirt material to dry your hair so, I decided to give this a try. I have pretty long hair and I've been on the search for the best hair wrap since using a towel has a tendency to pull uncomfortably and not hold well. I've tried the expensive microfiber ones by Aquis and Velo Hero, and also ones by Kitsch, Coco and Eve, and DevaCurl, but this is definitely my favorite. It's made of jersey so it feels just like a regular t-shirt, but the elastics on each end hold your hair easily. I've found I can make the hold tighter just by twisting my hair twice. Also, since the elastic is held along the entire bottom of your wrap and not just with one button, it doesn't fall out like the other hair wraps mentioned above. Another benefit is that since it's a simple jersey I don't have to do anything special to maintain it. Other hair wraps won't work if you use fabric softener and so I ended up running a special washing cycle just for those. Lastly, the price can't be beaten! Lovely towels, super light weight and in a beautiful pink colour, will be great for travel (when travel is a thing again! ) The button ensures the hair towel stays on your head and does not slip. One criticism is that they absorbe water very well , which is obviously what you want, but as they are thin, even if you wringe your hair out before putting towel on, it stays very wet and struggles to dry rhe hair further as it holds water. Luckily I bought a double pack so I use one to initially take most of the excess water away from the hair. Then combe it through before wrapping in the dry 2nd towel to get the best performance. I can honestly say my hair blow dries better as more moisture is removed. Would recommend but buy the double pack if you have long or thick hair.Rachel
I have very long thick hair (hip length), it is longer than the towel but it is not a problem, I just fold it back upon itself before twisting. The towel is so light that I can have it on my head for a prolonged amount of time without getting a headache or neck ache as I do in a short amount of time with a standard towel! It does shorten hair drying time, I would say about the same amount as a large heavy standard towel. My hair is waist length, coarse, and I have a lot of hair. This actually is long enough to more easily hold all of my hair AND it’s a bit wider, too. I didn’t realize until I was wrapping it up but it’s not as tight on my head as the original sizes were. I will say it doesn’t feel like the name brand. Our girls and myself have very long hair. They are toddlers. Bath towels even ehen thin are too heavy for them. Hand towels are too small. These are light weight, gentle on the hair and super absorbent. I like hownthey offer serveral colors for the girls to pick from. I have thick curly hair and my whole life I have struggled to manage my frizz. I have tried so many different products with minimal success. I have used the same Studio Dry hair turban for probably close to the last decade for post-shower hair wrangling. I will say, that one has held up but I felt like it just wasn't pulling moistures away from my hair. I usually air dry my hair in a turban post-shower anywhere from twenty minutes to two hours. After two hours in the Studio Dry towel, my hair is still rather damp. I decided to purchase the Kitsch brand after falling in love with their silk hair ties. The elastic around the edges is tighter than I was used to; my old turban towel had no elastic. The Kitsch turban does all the way around so it's a bit of a learning curve to get it on. I towel dry my hair for a half hour with that, comb it out and the ends are already drying. The towel is pretty soaked. I had read a review previously by someone who said they needed a second towel to rotate. I use the same one but I do hang it on the bathroom door. I sleep with a fan on so there is airflow circulating. By morning, the Kitsch towel is completely dry and I can use it again. I like that the button has four holes as opposed to two. My Studio Dry button had two holes and I did have to resew that a few years back. The Kitsch towel seems more secure and will hopefully last me into the next decade. This is the second hair wrap I purchased from Kitsch. The first is the white with black dots. I love that one too but it’s smaller and I had to move the button so my hair wasn’t pulled. The towel is easy to use but I was expecting some if not the majority of my hair to be dried in this towel. I did not have frizz so that was good. My towel was really wet from having my hair in it so the thickness of the towel could have been better. I bought it due to my curiosity, it was interesting to know if microfiber really is more drying than cotton. I found it's absolutely the same… but, I can still recommend this to the other customers, because it is a really good thing to put in your wet hair while you brush your teeth, doing all the other morning stuff, like washing, using face masks or makeup. Maybe, the manufacturer should make it a bit bigger (2-3 cm in all dimensions) because some people with bigger head or long hair can feel this towel a little tight. So I have long but very thin, fine hair that damages easily. I was hoping to use this to reduce breakage when drying my hair. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work well for my hair type. It dries it well but my hair gets sort of creased exactly as it's bundled and I have to wet it to undo the creases. So i don't blame the product. I think it's just not right for my hair type. I have used hair drying towels for decades. This one is better than all those previously used. My hair gets MUCH dryer than with other brands or from a regular towel and with absolutely no effort at all. Just wrap it properly sopping wet from the shower (like a turban, nothing fancy, tuck in end) press and squeeze a tiny bit on your head, and when untwisted and removed a few minutes later, hair is only damp. It's amazing. Follow directions though about "no fabric softener," it matters (ruins the absorbency). And for those reviews saying not good for long hair – maybe true if your hair is very long, but my hair is about 6" below the bottom of my neck and this towel works perfectly! In fact, reading those reviews is what prompted me to write this one.SB
