I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie
I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

Best I have ever used, after several Ion flat irons. I thought each of them was best when purchased. I bought this to have as backup for when my current Ion was out of commission. I liked it so well, I relegated my current iron to backup and now use this one exclusively. First and primary improvement is that the temp control is located on the inside portion of the iron. On the older one, it was easy to accidentally hit the "off" button (located on the outside of the barrel), cooling the iron. Then had to heat it up again. This Ion heats up quickly and does the job beautifully. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. The straightener it's OK if you already have straight or slightly wavy hair because it doesn't really change your hair that much. I've been using the straightener for about a year now and currently shopping for a new one because I'm just not satisfied I feel like I straighten my hair and two hours later it's catching some type of wave I also have naturally straight hair so it's very frustrating because I don't expect much from a straightener than to actually hold the straight style. I don't honestly see a less damaging affect I feel like if anything all of my split ends are a lot more noticeable I've also noticed that both sides of the plates don't get evenly hot. I give it three stars because it's cute it has a cool digital temperature setting and the color is nice but as far as effectiveness goes it's really not that great. No clue why people are having issues with this iron. I've had it for a year and used it about 4-6 times a month since I try not to use heat on my hair too much, and it's still in perfect condition. My hair is fine, type 2b so straightening my hair was very fast. The first time I tried it I didn’t have that much time so I didn’t section off my hair and straighten a section at a time. I was still able to get very good results. I would have liked the straightener to help me more with my frizzy hair, but hey, this can’t solve all my problems. I was a bit skeptical purchasing this because of the price.. Most cheap flat irons don't work at all! I'll preface this by saying everyone's hair is different so this may work for your hair, but it didn't work for mine. This is light weight, but feels incredibly cheap and flimsy. The buttons are right under my hand while trying to straighten so I continuously pushed buttons and changed the heat settings. The comb attachments made my hair frizzy and staticky so I removed them but it still didn't straighten my hair. My hair is a little more course/dry feeling but usually gets some shine and looks great after straightening. I also have a mildly wavy hair. Even after repeatedly straightening my hair throughout the day, it was still dull, frizzy, had some really funky bends/twists at the end.Momof2
I really wanted to like this flat iron, but it turned out to be average at best. The curl protecting plates didn't really do anything aside from get stuck in my hair or prevent me from getting a full piece of the section. I love Conair's flat irons but this one didn't do it for me. I also disliked how they didn't include heat setting instructions and I had to push every button on it before I figured out how to change the settings. I love the 35 second heat up and auto shut off, this makes it's cool down very quickly too. I also really like the outer texture, but overall I'm not a fan of this flat iron. I am leaving this review as a participant of a try it and review it website. I want to start off by saying I have super long, thick and curly hair. I have been straightening it since I was 14 so a fantastic hair straightener is a must for me. This hair straightener feels lightweight and has a great long cord. I love that. I didn't like the button placement because it is where you would typical hold the handle of the straightener and I kept changing the button or adjusting the heat while holding it on my hair so I had to put my hand slightly higher up towards the plates and it did get a bit warm on my hand after a few moments. I like how each button has a heat preset. I did the curly hair setting first which is preset at 350°. You can also adjust the temperature to go higher if you press that button repeatedly. The comb attachments are a really cool feature. I brushed my hair before straightening so my hair was quite large and fluffy from that and the comb did seem to rip out a bit of hair. It was slightly painful but nothing that I couldn't handle. I thought it would be a good idea to review one half of my hair with the new conair straightener and the other half with my Chi. I have had my Chi since 2012. It gets used ALOT. Normally it takes me about 35 minutes to straightener my whole head with my Chi when it is set on 410°. I set the Conair on 400° and it took about 30 minutes to do just the one side. The conair also did not eliminate the frizz as much as the Chi did. Now, with that being said. I think that this straightener would be a great product for somebody with normal hair. Somebody who doesn't have super thick hair like myself. I have two daughters with straight hair that I will use this on to get pony tail bumps out of their hair or use to make their hair extra straight for days they wear it down. I love the concept of this straightener. Just had a few things I didn't prefer. All in all, it deserves a 4 because I know my hair is hard to deal with and it is still a nice product for the price. I was a little worried to change from a Solia to a Sedu, but I figured I would give it a try, seeing at it was a profession version. I couldn't be happier with this product. Sedu is my all time favorite hair straightener brand. I have recommended their straighteners (and wands) to many people! I got this Icon version after my revolution stopped working after years and the warranty was up. I was glad I did because it performs as well if not better. It makes my hair straight without burning it or killing it. Hair always looks healthy and shiny. You can also curl since it’s 1 inch but takes some practice.

I have had this flat iron for almost 2 years and I think it's time for me to buy a new one. The color is rubbing off and the dial also no longer has numbers. This iron is great for curling my naturally straight hair. The outer finish is smooth, so it doesn't create extra tension on hair. The longer plates are so so helpful for curling. It has a long swivel cord, wide range of heat settings, and a good price point. Cons would be that the pretty, rose gold finish has chipped off a lot and the cord feels very cheap. Let me just tell you, I have had this hair straightener for over 10 years now. The plates do what hair straighteners are supposed to do, gives your hair shine AND it smoothes the ends of your hair. I had bought a T3 and it made my ends dry…. The only thing I don’t like about this hair straightener, is that it does snag your hair a bit and you do have to clean the ridges that are on the hair straightener because it does leave dead skin cells from sweat and burning your hand. I have thin, pretty straight hair. I've had, and been using, my purple HerStyler for over 3 years now. It's a great straightener! It never tugs my hair or snags any stray strands, and the heat settings are very good. I only need medium heat to straighten and a couple notches up to use it to curl my hair. I have curly 3A hair, and I recently cut my hair short. We all know that when you cut curly hair short, it curls up even more. I had high hopes for this one after my small Conair had to be replaced. While it probably would have worked fine, the outside gets very hot and I was burned. That never happened with the other, where the plastic outer stayed cool/warm but never burned to the touch. So unfortunately, back it goes.

I have bought 2 flat iron at cvs and they were trash. This one actually Works ! Probably cause the heat up to 455. My hair is straight and not thick so a basic flat iron should work but others barely got hot. It isn’t heavy duty but does the job. Steaks a bit but that didn’t bother the performance.

Purchased this model of babybliss because my stylist uses this brand in June 2020. As of January 4, 2021 the item randomly shuts off in the middle of usage. I tried to use different outlets and the issue still happened . My hair always comes out nice and pressed however even at low setting it still smells burnt . Thankfully I always use a heat protector. I called the Ulta Beauty I purchased from was advised to bring in the item to exchange and the old item be marked "Defective" . Drove 45mins only to be advised that the return could not be made in store due to " Covid return policy after 90 days". Contacted Ulta help desk as advised by the associate to get the correct return advice , only to be put on hold and hung up on. Very soft curls. However living in FL and trying to combat frizz is an everyday battle. I used my friends baby bliss titanium over the weekend after boating in the ocean and my Royale (mall kiosk) straightener quit working after only 6 months! DONT BUY Royale! I tried to find her exact baby bliss(it was black) but this was titanium and seemed the same. I THINK IT EVEN WORKS BETTER! 🙂 let me tell you. I did my whole head in 10 mins. The super wide plates(1.5") definitely help for faster results. I only needed one pass through my sections of hair. It didn't snag at all! Also I used to have up to high heat (450) this i used on 35 and it worked just fine. I would suggest using a leading comb for easy results(the one good thing from royale) I can't speak to the damaging effects because I haven't had it long enough. HOWEVER, I'm super impressed thus far! Well worth the money and you can use the 20% coupon. Don't think twice i wish i could include pics. I love it! I have very thick curly hair. It usually takes me 1 1/2 hours to straighten it with a standard straight iron and this tool cut the time in half. Im usually fighting with a comb and having to lay the straightener down while I pick up the comb to comb it. Its a battle. This product solved my problem. The only drawback is my bangs are very short and it doesnt work with short hair. Will have to use old straightener till they grow out then into the recycling bin with the old. I have the Ion Fusion 2.0. It is the worst straightener I've ever owned. I have thick, loosely wavy hair and even on full heat, 450 degrees, it still takes 4+ passes to get a small section remotely straight. I don't believe it actually gets up to 450. It also pulls my hair so badly, every third pass or so I have to stop and pull out hairs that are stuck in the plates – you can see in the picture how much hair I lost during one straightening session. It gets stuck midway through my hair even though I use a good heat spray AND I brush my hair thoroughly before straightening, plus again each section right before straightening. You can get better quality at the drugstore. I will never buy PYT hair products again and I'll be replacing this one ASAP.andrea.z
