Used tide ,antibacterial dish washing soap, T-sal shampoo, detox shampoo and Heinz vinegar for 3 days straight and kept each in my hair for 30 minutes. Washed my hair at least 15 times in those 3 days. Used T sal and detox shampoo the day of hair test then used the Zydot ultra clean and failed. I've been using Fekkai since 2009/2010 (my Korean mom was very into hair care and encouraged me to use the best products). Now I'm in my early 30's. I've tried many other hair care brands over the years, but in my opinion, Fekkai is probably one of the best. I used to use the old Apple Cider shampoo back in the day and was very sad when it was discontinued. But when they brought it back, I was so happy! And I think this is one of the first times the new version is better than the old! I use this once or twice a month to deep cleanse my scalp and hair from any buildup. My hair always feels so refreshed and like I'm starting over. Please don't discontinue or change it!annhp88

I've tried so many different products for my scalp. I thought I had dandruff so I was trying so many different products. I tried JVN after seeing a tik tok and it didn't help me get rid of the flakes. I tried an Aveda shampoo and it didn't help with anything. THIS shampoo helped with the buildup of not washing your hair for a few days, and I also saw the least amount of flakes I've had in my hair for years. I love the detangling conditioner too because I don't need a lot, and it does the job. After, I go in and apply leave in conditioner so my hair feels sleek and smooth. I have naturally wavy, thick, color treated hair (blonde balayage). I have been using Olaplex & Living Proof Perfect Hair Day shampoos & conditioners for the last few months. Over that course of time, I've noticed my hair becoming heavier, feeling less clean, and just overall greasy at my scalp even directly after washing. I bought this after reading the reviews, and my hair has never felt more clean, soft, shiny, and vibrant all at the same time. I did use the system & follow up with the conditioner as well. I applied the shampoo all over, concentrating on the roost heavily & only applied the conditioner mid shaft to ends. The results are wonderful! I honestly use the shampoo and conditioner everyday. I bought a leave in conditioner- that also doesn’t have any silicones- and it’s all amazing. My hair has never been more thoroughly clean and moisturized. I ran out of this one day and had to get a trim that morning. I used some cheap shampoo and conditioner that I had under my sink. I love this shampoo! My hair feels super clean and detoxed after washing. I usually wash my hair twice with other shanpoos but this one feels like it gets the job done with one wash. Great packaging and I would definitely recommend. It can make your hair feel a little dry so you do need to use a good deep conditioner afterwards! You can purchase this item at drugstores but it isnt cheap. It is about $30 a bottle but worth it to me. It does come in a large bottle. I've been struggling to find a gentle shampoo that actually cleans my hair and then I found this! It may be clarifying if you have dry hair that doesn't need daily washing, but my fine oily hair needs this daily. This has a great amount of protein for me and the coconut oil helps prevent protein loss from daily washing. Using the matching conditioner is too much protein for me daily so I alternate it with a protein free conditioner. The smell isn't my favorite but it's growing on me, sort of grapefruity and floral, but it doesn't linger in my hair.Whatamelon

I am so glad I found noughty haircare products. My hair was in serious distress, its very sensitive to sulphates and silicones and my usual supermarket brought products were full of them. Before switching I was getting a day out of my hair before it was greasy and gross. Now I get up to 4 days between washes and I'm so happy with the affect its had on my hair. I'm convinced this scrub is the best thing Noughty has produced. I used their entire curly hair range a few years ago but ultimately switched back to a different brand as I was struggling with scalp buildup and itchiness. However when I saw that Noughty had released this exfoliating scalp scrub, I knew I had to give it a go. The smell is really nice, very clean and herbal, and whilst it definitely does exfoliate, it does not feel abrasive or harsh on the scalp. I've been using it in combination with Noughty's volume boosting range as my scalp is naturally quite oily and does not like heavy products. I'm happy to say that this scrub has left my scalp looking and feeling so much healthier and essentially flake free, it's honestly amazing. I will certainly be purchasing the Detox Dynamo shampoo also – I only wish they made a conditioner in the range to complete the set! I had really bad product build up from a shampoo I used a few months ago. I tried absolutely everything to get rid of this, including incredibly strong clarifying shampoos with sulphates etc, and NOTHING was working. My hair was waxy and greasy all over and it was in terrible condition. I have used Noughty products before, including this one, but I assumed that this would be too gentle to reverse the severe amount of damage done to my hair. However, after trying literally every other route, I was at the end of my tether and thought why not give this a go? With not much hope I bought a bottle, and oh my goodness. After one wash, the build up was reduced significantly, and my hair looked less like someone had rubbed candle wax in it. I almost cried tears of joy. After the second wash, the build up was completely gone, and my scalp was pretty soothed! To put this into perspective + sum up, I have had really bad buildup for 4-5 months since using the devil shampoo by a different brand that I will not name. I tried many strong clarifying treatments. Youre probably wondering, why that title? Well guys Im about to be SIMPING for the goddess we know named Brad Mondo. It all started with me watching his hair dresser reacts videos and he always tempted me with his XMONDO hair care products, well one day I was feeling like spending some moneyyyy, and I was watching one of his videos on YouTube and sure enough he showed some of his products for a giveaway and sure enough it got me this time. I went straight to his website and went straight to his shampoo and conditioner (my favvvv product to buy), I saw Detox Shampoo and my heart instantly skipped a beat, I have been looking for a shampoo like this and a weightless conditioner (which he also has tee hee hee), I feel as if any product I use on my hair is always so heavy on my hair and always feels as if I never even shampooed my hair. I have very fine hair but I have a lot of hair and I also never touch it with heat, always air dried, and for some reason anything I used made my hair sooo stringy, it got to the point where I wasnt even using conditioner because my thoughts were that I cant use anymore oils or conditioning products on my hair because theyre too heavy or nourishing for my hair….that still did not work. It is sooo embarrassing when your hair is constantly stringy and greasy looking, I know it sounds dumb but you love your hair and you always want it to look its best, or at least I want mine to, and I work a job that I see people all day everyday and I know Im just a random stranger to most of these people but all I can think of is how my hair may look to these people because the way it looks. As someone who is a first time user of this brand, I had the website up for awhile waiting to purchase this when I could afford to, for the price I honestly think the size of the shampoo and conditioner could be bigger. Though I think the smell is nice, unfortunately I was not "wowed" by the shampoo and conditioner. I know Brad is a very talented hairstylist, and I was hoping that his line would do wonders on my damaged hair. I have damage from maintaining ash blonde hair at home and I was hoping that this would be a miracle product. Although I admit that it is nice, it did not do what I expected it to do. I potentially could have not used the right product from his line so that could be the issue. So I really do believe the sizes should be significantly bigger like some of the other products that you would buy from your local Hair Salon are around the same price point with a lot more product. Disappointed after the hype, spent a lot of money to get this shipped to the UK. I got the hydra glow shampoo and project x conditioner, over priced for the size they are. Wouldn't mind paying this price but feel the product doesn't reflect it. It leaves my hair looking dull and quite dry, I don't see any of the benefits it claims to give. It also smells like cheaper products and you have to use a lot more than a normal salon professional product should to actually clean your hair. I'm a trained hairdresser so have used a few brands in the past and this is disappointing unfortunately. Also bought the wave tech which is alright, it does create a curl/wave pattern but not as effective as I'd hoped and seen especially when my hair is naturally wavey/curley but heavy, it also doesn't hold for too long. Smells very nice and pepperminty, I didn’t smell any eucalyptus. Lathers and cleans very well. Concentrated. The gel is liquidy but I prefer it that way because it makes lathering up easier. It also rinses easily. This is the worst conditioner I have ever used. It left my hair super dry, was so sticky it was hard to wash out and would still be sticky after thorough rinsing, and actually damaged my hair so bad I had to get a haircut to trim the breakage from using this. Until recently my absolute favorite shampoo for very fine hair, excellent in combination with the conditioner. Unfortunately, it seems that the formula was changed here a few months ago. The label looks a little different and the product no longer feels the same when used. It now takes two to three times as much shampoo to cleanse the hair, it's hard to distribute and doesn't foam at all. I have a naturally oily scalp with dry ends, and straight, fine hair that lacks volume and is prone to tangling. It’s also colour treated. As you can imagine, it takes a helluva product to address all those factors. Seeking a true hair transformation, I decided to give @grownalchemist a try, because I love that it’s an Australian (like me!) brand that uses no artificial or harmful ingredients. 🌱 I chose the shampoo (damask rose, black pepper, and sage) and the Colour Protect conditioner 0.3 (aspartic amino acid, hydrolyzed quinoa protein, and ootanga). Each 500ml bottle retails for $49 at grownalchemist.com (shipping was free within the USA). It took me a couple of washes to perfect my use of the products. Because I’ve typically used very cosmetic products on my hair, I was confused by the minimal lather of the shampoo. I also didn’t anticipate how truly moisturising the conditioner would be, and used too much – so my hair felt a little greasy (also likely due to transitioning to a natural product, and the fact that these products don’t entirely strip your hair of its oils and leave it squeaky clean like inferior products do – an addictive sensation, albeit misguided). However, since I figured out my perfect usage, which is a slight variation on the directions, I’ve been madly in love with them. My hair is looking and feeling fantastic, with the scalp oils really coming into balance and the mid-lengths and ends starting to benefit from all the hydration (and sun protection!) My personal routine now (every other day) is two pumps of shampoo as directed, then conditioning for 1-2 minutes as directed (I use two pumps); then I freestyle and go in again with a quick mid-length wash using just half a pump of the shampoo to clear out any excess conditioner I may have missed with my rinse. The products smell incredible, and the potency of the conditioner means I don’t have to stand around waiting too long for it to do its thing. Experiencing the exact opposite of what other reviewers stated. There is hardly any lather at all, and yes I'm used to sulfate-free shampoos so I know what to expect. This product takes me three washings to get my medium length hair sort of clean. I don't use any heavy styling products so that's not something I'm used to. Paired with the volumising conditioner (another dud) my hair comes out flat and dull and feels unclean. This product basically does the exact opposite of what it's marketed to do. I found this shampoo to be just okay. That being said, I don’t use so many products that I have a lot of buildup on my hair. For that reason this shampoo left my hair feeling almost beyond clean in a slightly uncomfortable way. The first "charcoal"-based shampoo I tried was the and while it was still good, it wasn't my favorite. It also retails very high for a shampoo. I got this in my #OGXCharcoalDetox Voxbox and this one does the exact same job for a significantly lower price and it has most of the qualities I look for in my shampoos. I was afraid that the whole "charcoal" concept would strip my hair dry as well but it's not drying at all, it actually left my hair softer which is kind of crazy. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the scent – it's almost perfume-like but not overwhelming. I prefer shampoos with citrusy notes, I guess! I came across this shampoo at a Tj Maxx and once I read the back I knew I had to take it home with me. It seemed very promising as far as detoxing the hair from product buildup. The lather is great and the smell is as well BUT even though I used conditioner afterwards my hair was stiff and hard as a board. It not only removed the product buildup but it completely stripped my hair color. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror only to see that I no longer had any dye and my grey hair made it seem as if I hadn’t dyed my hair in months. I gave it three stars because it did remove buildup but removed color as well which wasn’t stated in the description. Unless you want to strip your color I don’t recommend using it.madelene.a

I purchased the product to cut the buildup in my hair. I've tried other clarifying shampoos that work pretty good but this product goes above and beyond. My hair is bouncy again and surprisingly my color is MORE vibrant after using it. I use Redken "blondage" shampoo a couple times per week to keep my blonde hair from getting brassy and it works fantastic! I think bouncing between shampoos really "mucks up" my hair. This product has completely restored my hair back to post coloring 🙂BRS

Not for every day in my opinion. This is a cream but still pretty harsh, especially for dry, fine hair such as mine. I use this every few months to get any residue out from left-over product. Any more than that would really strip my hair too much. But keep in mind that I have really dry hair. If your hair is oily, this might be just the thing. It smells amazing. The smell stays in my hair all day long, I get so many compliments. But more about the product.. this detoxifier is amazing. I don't treat my hair the best. I was looking for a clean but gentle clarifying shampoo to add to my regular hair care routine. My goal was to get rid of product build up and to overall just refresh my scalp. This product met my expectations; however, I did have to use more shampoo than I normally do. Do not expect this to function like a regular clarifying shampoo that contains sulfates and produces a lot of lather with minimal product required. I had to use a healthy amount of product, massaged it into my scalp for 1-2 minutes, rinsed and repeated. My hair and scalp came out clean and refreshed, but my hair didn't feel as though it had been stripped. Just don't forget to condition too!Shenanigans13

I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. If I'm being totally honest, I probably wouldn't have looked at this due to the price of the bottle, but I'm really glad I got the sample and will definitely buy this again. I find a lot of shampoos clean my hair, but I don't always feel my scalp has had enough of a cleanse, but this shampoo is different. I've used it twice since I received it and both times my hair and scalp have felt completely cleansed and refreshed (even in this sticky heatwave we're having!). It is slightly runnier in consistency than other shampoos I've used, but I felt that made it easier to spread around and it lathers up beautifully. It's not as strongly scented as some cheaper shampoos, but the fragrance is pleasantly fresh and lasts well. I used less conditioner because this made my hair so soft, especially after the second wash, and I have a sensitive scalp that wasn't irritated after using. Its environmentally and vegan friendly too so I think the ?10 price tag is reasonable.cathahall

The fragrance free products are what brought me to purchase from this company. There are no other fragrance free products as good and at this price point that I have found in Canada. When I first used this I wasn't sure how I would like it. The initial smell was kind of odd, it is unscented but it has a smell if that makes sense lol. I have used it for about a week or two and honestly it is amazing. I use it with the conditioner and my hair is so soft! I let the shampoo sit on my head for a minute before washing it out, then use the conditioner and let that sit for a minute. I have wavy hair and before using this product I had actually thought my hair was going back to being straight (I wasn't seeing as much wave as before, maybe from other shampoos weighing them down). I notice my natural waves have been more prominent after using this shampoo despite it not being "curly hair shampoo". I just bought the shampoo and conditioner and it is soooo good! It smells great and leaves my hair so soft. I have thick and frizzy straight hair and I’ve been looking forever for a shampoo and conditioner that help with the frizz. I use to buy the "Hairitage" products because they were good on my hair and scalp. My hair was still dry even when skipping a day or two. I bought these shampoo and conditioner "Hair Food" and I have to say… I'm impressed. My hair is smooth, it's not frizzy (even with the humid air), and it smells so good! I woke up with non-crazy hair. I feel like I don't need to wash my hair the next day and my scalp doesnt feel itchy dry! I've had probelms in the past of my hair falling out, itchy dry scalp, and buying what I think would work. The fact they list their ingredients and theres not a whole fat LIST of unknown ingredients!!! Makes me SO happy. I know what I'm putting in my hair now. Living in Europe, this conditioner has to be amazing for me to order it twice! It's actually my son, who's 14, who heard about it and since I know he's struggling with his curly, somewhat dry hair and scalp, I wanted to let him try it. He loves it! I used many organic or expensive hair products. I decided give change to Herbal Essensces and this is so far the best product my hair and skin loves. I have dermatitis and long damaged hair, this product makes my hair very soft especially at the ends where the most damage is and makes is easier to brush my hair. I'm allergic to quite a few preservatives so I have to be really careful what I buy. For years there's been very few shampoos and conditioners that I could use. I've always been jealous of my sister's healthy hair. She has always used Herbal Essences, but I couldn't. This was the best shampoo in the entire world. I miss it every day. I haven’t been able to find it online or in store for purchase anywhere and I’m not kidding when I say I would do anything for it back. The scent was great, spicy and interesting, without being overpowering. It was also a fantastic clarifying shampoo – it could remove concrete off your scalp in 2 washes and you would get out of the shower fresh as a daisy without even thinking your hair felt dry. Nothing I used could remove the grime from my hair, so I ordered this and my hair feels so so clean. For those that say it smells weird, it states on the bottle that it uses specific oils. This product really keeps the brassy tones away, and does not weigh down my fine hair. I cannot recommend this shampoo enough. Step 1 Does feel very dry, hard to work into scalp and doesn't foam up. Step 2 doesn't break up the knots very well so have to add warm water which help bit. Step 3 Love how it brake up all the knots and feel nice but again do need add some warm water to it. Leave it on for 10 mins WOW love how cooler and fresh my scalp feels. WOW my waves curly hair look So Much Better But my scalp does feel bit dry and next day so do add some warm water which help bit. My hair does feel lot thick at back of my hair but my front still feels thin. I use it every 2 weeks as my scalp get very oil and dry. I have been using others things from Curlsmith which helping lot. I wash my hair every 4 days. I use to have very thick hair in my teenage years and than it was more medium thick texture in my 20s but because of Pcos got lot thin in my 30s. So Please it's getting there now at last hope it get more better as I only be use it now for 2 months.Joanna K.

Was a bit skeptical, but had read good things about this so decided to try it as I love Curlsmiths other products. I recently switched from another curly girl brand. My hair is fine but tends to be dry. Finding a balance of moisture without weighing it down is hard. My hair has been thinning and wanted to try this for scalp health and to remove product build-up. What was a great surprise was that not only did my hair and scalp feel clean without drying it out, but I had incredible volume, and my curl pattern was enhanced. This stuff really works I only smoke weed but I rinsed my hair in vinegar first for about 5 minutes then washed my hair with the detox shampoo an one hour later I went an tookthe hair follicle test and a few days later found out I passed great stuff I would highly recommend it.Thomas
