I bought this after seeing the reviews online. I have PCOS and Hypothyroidism, so facial hair has been a 20 year daily battle for me. Anything to help reduce hair growth or cover up the shadow is worth a try to me. I've been using it for almost a week and notice major differences. Actually, I noticed a difference after just one use. It not only reduces the hair growth speed but also has smoothed the bumpy surface where I am constantly shaving and plucking hairs. The hair is still there but I went from have to do upkeep 3-4 times a day to twice a day, when I wake in the morning and at night before bed. Both are when I apply the Gigi Slow Growth. Some complain about the smell but I like the smell. It's Aragon Oil, so if you don't like it, you won't like this but if you want to reduce the hair growth, you'll do anything. I do use it twice a day even though directions say once a day but I have coarse, dark, man hair on my face and very fair skin. I wanted to hit it hard and it worked for me. Also- it takes a very small amount to make a difference. I see reviews about it not running in or taking too long but I think they may be using too much. I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. If you are an everyday wig wearer like I am, then I would not recommend this wig. I wanted to try it because I'd heard that it was similar to Angelica by Noriko but at a lower price point. I also wanted a basic cap/non lace front wig as an alternative to my more expensive Jon Renau wigs. First, let me say that I waited about a week after wearing this wig before writing this review. I ordered the color-walnut brown, which is a really nice warm brunette color with a hint of dark auburn (not highlights but blended together). The length is lovely, and the front doesn't fall on the face as much as the Angelica wigs do. It was nice and soft when I took it out of the box, but after 2 days of daily wear, it started to get really dry and scratchy as if I had been wearing it for months. Keep in mind, I only wear long wigs, so I am aware of all the extra care needed in order to make them last and to keep them in their best shape. A heavy amount of conditioning spray did get the wig feeling softer, but that only lasted a day and then it went right back to being scratchy. I even tried the Silicone spray, but that didn't help either. Also, after the 3rd day of wear, the permatease started to bunch up, making it so that the wig look really awkward on my head.Katherine C.

This wig is so cheaply made I can't believe it. First, I have a small head and the wig just does not fit. The ear tabs don't stay even if you use bobby pins, they will be up to the middle of your head. Second, the hair is thinner than my hair in the back. If the wind blew it around people would see the elastic the hair (what little there is) is attached to. Third, there was not a receipt anywhere in or on the box so to return it I have to log onto my computer and print one, I have not looked yet but I assume I can still do that. What about people that do not have computers or printers, you can try to call customer service but I was on hold for almost 2 hours and still just music!! Unless you want to place an order forget talking to QVC. I have read other reviews about not reaching anyone, come on QVC you are better than this. Anyway we should not have to pay to ship this piece of junk back. Shame on the hosts too!over60
This was probably a cute wig but the sizing tags were unusable so I could not fit the wig to my head. I took it to my hair dresser who advised me that in addition to the sizing problems, the wig I received had been improperly styled as the right side of the rear behind my right ear was nearly cut off as was the left front in front of my left ear. It had been altered or this is a manufacturing defect. Since she could not re place the "hair" that had been removed before it was sent to me, she could not style it or fix the issues. She also told me it was shedding was so badly that she would recommend NEVER washing it and treating it as a costume wig (expect one or two wearings) rather than a real wig that one could wash and wear multiple times. I spent a lot of time trying to reach someone in customer service which apparently QVC no longer offers and will be sending this wig back as DEFECTIVE and MIS-DESCRIBED. QVC did not advise me it was sending a used or returned wig. QVC quality control did not catch an obviously defective wig before sending it to ano9ther customer. NO Cap and no net were in my package.qvciswonderful
I prefer longer hair, but this vintage looking cool cut will be my goto during our hot Texas summers. It's very cute and youthful looking. I'm a cancer survivor, and would never be able to get this volume with my natural hair now. I would have given it 5 stars if I could have made the hair stay fluffed up on the crown longer. I like lots of hair and volume, but it's a little top heavy and in my opinion, needed more permatease. Though to be fair, it is humid and windy here. I'm going to purchase a spray made for wigs. I love it! Still not used to darker roots, but it looks natural. Everyone thought it was my own hair and loved my "new cut". I'll probably try Hairdo's "Allure" next. I first decided to purchase a wig when a hair cut gone wrong left me looking like Opie Taylor. I definitely did not want what the look the ladies in my mother's "retirement" community had! I wanted to have hair that I had in high school, many many eons ago, the thick healthy hair. I started researching wigs and liked the idea of human hair, but still had trepidation that I would spend that much still I'd look as if I had someone else's hair on my head. I went into a local beauty supply and the girl at the counter had the most gorgeous hair. We chatted about wigs and she said she was wearing a Vivica Fox wig Now! It looked great and so natural, but then again, she was maybe 25 years old. They didn't have wigs in the store so I went home and Googled Vivica Fox. I saw the pic of the "Brie" wig and thought, yes, that's It! The lowest price was here at VogueWigs so I clicked, went in and found even the color I wanted! I took a deep breath and hit order and have not been happier Since! The Brie is soft, moves like hair, not stiff or hair sprayed looking. You can curl it, wash it, and even sleep with it on without pain! I absolutely love this wig and now that I've taken the wig plunge, I've ordered several more Vivica Fox styles. Wigs are a new thing for me as I've come to terms that I have to live with hair loss due to nothing that the doctors I've gone to can find. They say it's menopause–which I started ten years ago. Anyway the length of the hair that I still have is about the same length at the Brie wig. The reviews and the photos of the women wearing the wig were enough for me to order. Girls–you look marvelous! I received this today and straight out of the box I plopped it on my head. Nothing except for a bit of a trim on the bangs was needed. I haven't had time to "play" with my Brie yet and position her just so but I don't think I'll need to. There is a wonderful amount of volume in this wig. It's a tad shiny but I'll fix that with dry shampoo. It really looks great and I'm looking forward to much confidence while wearing. Would I reorder? Yes. Definitely. The price point on this wig is extraordinary. It is well-constructed and just looks really great. It is a light wig and not heavy and fits very comfortably.
