I purchased the color "Dark Navy" hoping to achieve a deep blue color and it did exactly that ! As you can see on my before pic, I had bleached and stained blue hair from previously using semi-permanent blue dye, as well as dark blonde brassy roots regrowth. I've used L'Oreal's "Lock-It" gel for years, and they've now discontinued it with no warning (or I would have stocked up for life!). This new product is not at all a substitute or replacement for "Lock-It" and did absolutely nothing to hold my short, spiky haircut in place, or even last long enough to style it and use another product to set it.
I love this gel. I am a nurse who lives in Fl and must tie my hair back all day. I have very thick, somewhat frizzy Cherokee Indian type hair. I HATE hairspray and if I don't use gel, my hair looks like a frizzy mess in a few hours. I'm so glad I found this L'Oreal gel. It holds my pony tail in place all day. My younger sister recommended this to me because her edges are always LAID and look so good and she told me to try this product. I tried so many different things on my daughter's hair, and it's always sticky and doesn't work that well. This stuff is amazing. BOMB!!!! I've been on the search for an edge gel that can lay my 3C/4A edges down for more than a couple of minutes. This is literally the ONLY edge gel I've ever used where my edges were laid ALL day long without feeling too hard or dry to the point you can tell it will break-off your edges with continued use. I did my usual routine of styling my edges…than I tied a scarf over them while they were drying and waited like 10 minutes before untying the scarf. Of course…when you first use an edge gel it looks good until like an hour later. Not with this product!!! When Ebin says this is a 24 Hour Edge Tamer…they mean it. I used this product in the morning…it's almost 8pm and my edges are still laid. Plus this product doesn't leave any gross white residue…which is so disrespectful, how are you going to have bomb edges with a white cast??? Not possible. What bothers me is that this product doesn’t get the praise it deserves! See, a while back, I need something to increase moisture and strength in my hair, and I saw this line at Walmart. I didn’t think much of it at the time because at that point I had lost all hope of finding a decent product for my dry, semi-damaged hair (I am naturally a dark brunette and like to keep it a nice, fairly light golden blonde). The shampoo and conditioner were okay, but this product was seriously nothing like I expected. Not only did this product do what it was supposed to, but it also brought out the blonde ever so slightly more 🙂 Very, VERY pleased with this amazing product! I use this cream every time after I wash my hair! I have curly hair and this cream makes my hair so much better and not frizzy! It smells great. And doesn’t make my hair greasy whatsoever. I put a small amount in my hands and rub them together and scrunch up my hair. I had high hopes for this product because I genuinely love all the other tea tree products from Paul Mitchell. I didn't realize that one of the ingredients had apricot in it. This is my mistake, I own up to it. I should have just read the label before applying it but i was so excited, i had completely forgotten to until my scalp started getting itchy. I’m a 62 yr old woman with naturally curly hair past my waist. My hair, not extensions. I don’t blow-dry my hair or use curling implements. Every once in a long while (like 5years) I will use my ceramic flat iron just to have a different look for an occasion. But I’m a wash-and-wear woman. I live in Florida, and had not yet found a product that kept my hair from frizzing. I’ve used PM products in the past and liked them. Especially the Super Skinny Serum. So when I came across this product at a salon I decided to give it a try. It keeps my hair smooth without weighing down the curls. Once dry it can be a bit “crunchy” like a lot of leave in products. But i’ve found that gently scrunching my dry curls breaks it up, and leaves my hair soft, shiny, and curly. Unfortunately, as with other reviewers, I find small chunks of white in my hair after applying, even with pumping it into one of my palms and then vigorously rubbing my palms together to warm and emulsify the product. With as much hair as I have, combing through my wet curls and picking out the chunks is tedious. Will it keep me from using the product? Doubtful. Simply because it really makes my hair look lovely. I have 2c mid back length hair. I tried this product alone without any other products. It smelled good while applying but left no other scent once dry. I scrunched this in and allowed to air dry. Once my hair was completely dry there was no defined curls. It wasn't crunchy. It seemed to weigh my hair down. I tried using less the next time and still no results I was looking for. I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color. Arctic Fox doesn't damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn't have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye. I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I'm also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask. Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it. It's a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. Plus the custom colors you can create by mixing different different Arctic Fox colors together are endless! I was amazed at the color i got by mixing Purple AF + a touch of Aquamarine! It sounds crazy to mix aquamarine and deep purple together, but the color came out a multidimensional dark blue/purple-ish color that changes color depending on how the light hits it. It's my new favorite color! It does come out very dark, so I apply it (no conditioner added) to the bottom 1/3 of my hair and lightly pull the color upwards into my red to get a perfect blended fade from bright red to deep blue/purple. I love this stuff. I am older and gray hair just does not look good on me. But as I get older my hair sucks up perm hair dye on the ends and turning them black, while about 2 inches at the roots will turn either blonde or red. But Arctic Fox fits the bill, and it smells good (like grapes). It does not damage your hair, as it is semi perm and no peroxide or developer. So far I have used Wrath, Poison, Sunset Orange, Ritual, Purple Rain, Transylvania. Purple Rain (now called Purple AF) and Transylvania were used as a mix. The colors will only bleed right after you apply them, but otherwise you do not need to worry about bleeding. Arctic Fox really is like using a deep conditioner with highly pigmented color in it. Leaves your hair shiny, soft and smelling like grapes. Wash you hair in cold water and only a few times a week, the color will loose its intensity and fade not go away. The Arctic Fox web site tells you how the colors fade, for example Wrath is red but fades to pink. So in the course of 4 weeks your hair will be vibrant red, magenta, dark pink, lighter pink. I do not bleach my hair, so on the front (the gray and white part) the color looks like what it is like on bleached hair. While the back is brown about a level 5, so it is highlighted with the color I used. If you plan to use it on unbleached hair then you have to use the more vivid colors.
I have virgin dirty blonde hair. I bought the shade Transylvania which is a pure black color. I applied it last night to my clean hair, no products or nothing in it and let it sit in foil for about 40 minutes. I didn't apply the dye to my whole head, I just wanted to add pieces here and there throughout my hair like I've done in the past. Upon rinsing my hair out with cold water and letting it dry I noticed how faded the black looks. In the shower the water ran blue. I know black dyes typically contain blue but this was like a vibrant blueish green. In artificial lighting the dye in my hair looks like a dark grey, but in the natural sunlight it looks like a greyish green which isn't very pretty at the moment. I'm going to give it one more go before I decide whether or not to return this. I usually LOVE arctic fox dyes and have never had issues before but this black dye really needs to be reformulated.Jen

For years I was using brown dry shampoo on my scalp. It didn't stay on, on warm days. With age the top of my head was showing more and hair was coming in grey. Saw an ad on SURETHIK. Found it at Beauty Supply. I won't go one day without it. Then saw it on line and decided to order it because my Beauty Supply didn't always have it in stock. I've used Surethick for years, as I have very curly hair (one thing that leads to hair loss) and had radiation for breast cancer 20 years ago (another thing that leads to hair loss). I've always used Light Brown, but now my hair is turning white, so I decided to mix the Light Brown with some Grey. Not bad, but, eventually, I will need just white, and am wondering if Surethick is thinking of creating a white hair powder. There are a lot of us going-thin-white-haired people out there!! The product is easy to use and mostly does as indicated. I am in between colour options and found that the lighter shade was actually better for me, rather than the darker one, as suggested. I do often have trouble getting the fibres to stay in place, they will sometimes end up on my forehead and they make my scalp a little itchy if the weather is hot. But they fill in the thinning patch due to FPB that I have at the center front of my hairline, which makes me less self conscious. I hate being able to see my scalp through my thinning hair in the mirror. So, the product isn't perfect but it does help and the price point is reasonable.Melissa Z.

Beautiful wig in GL14/22SS. This blonde shade is perfect for my natural brunette skin tone (light to medium neutral leaning toward warm). It's not too warm, nor is it too cool, and it doesn't wash me out. I discovered Gabor recently and love the hairline and softly shaded roots of the shaded shades. The hair is soft and fine. I really want to love this one — the fibers are so silky, the color is gorgeous, and the lace front is perfection. Just like the last one I purchased (same model, different color). But unlike my first purchase of this style, the density with this one is so very light in patches that I can easily see through to the cap on top — so I can only part it in one place. It’s like dealing with hair loss, which is disconcerting considering hair loss is why I buy wigs. I’ll just pretend it’s a mono part rather than mono top — this was a clearance purchase for me so I won’t inquire about a return. I just adore Wig Studio 1 so absolutely no knock there!
This is a cute, lightweight pixie. She's my first experience with a lace front wig, which I find to be a little scratchy but very realistic-looking. The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility.
