It's tough looking for hair product that's natural and good on the body. While I enjoy a majority of the Badger products, this one needs a little more work on it. A lot of the reviews here are pretty much the same; a little more hold is desperately needed. A little beeswax is needed for a firmer hold. Also, water solubility is a problem as well. It's a bit oily at times when washing it from your hair; sometimes two washes are needed to clean up. Overall, the product does it job; smells great, holds but could hold a bit tighter. I bought this product for my husband. He has short, soft hair type. His favourite hair cream is discontinued so I got this one for the replacement. Having good ingredients and beautiful smell but… My husband didn't like it very much because it comes off and goes into his eyes. Too runny than textured wax type cream side. I have very dry skin and porous (brittle) Type 4C hair. I used to use another product to grease my scalp, however the ingredients in the old product that I used to use were (mostly) petroleum, mineral oil and lanolin. The ingredients in the old product that I used to use just sat on my scalp and stopped my scalp from being dry, but did not have any additional benefits (in my humble opinion). I switched to this product two years ago after hearing about the benefits of Castor oil and also after testing out Coconut oil on my scalp and seeing the benefits of that. This is a very good product.

I was really unsure how this would work for me and concerned that it would feel sticky or greasy on my hair, but I am very pleased with the results so far! I started with a very small amount and warmed it on my fingertips and gingerly began playing with my style. Immediately I had a bit of piecing and the appearance of movement but it didn't darken my hair or make it look greasy or as though it was full of product. Then I used the spray and voila! I purchased the Gentlemen's Pomade after watching Marcy Dixon's tutorial. It was very similar to other products that I've tried in the past; too much like putting "glue" in my hair. I didn't like the waxy stickiness after applying the product. I only used a tiny bit (size of a dime); I can't imagine if I had used more. I just tried this out to style my old school crew cut. I find that it leaves my hair looking and feeling much more natural, smooth and shiny than the water based pomades. It's also really nice that it's reworkable throughout the day. Also, like everything suavecito makes…it smells amazing! Like everything in life, there are trade offs. As many have mentioned, this stuff does take a while to wash out even for me with a relatively short crew cut (about 1 to 1.5inches on top). Amazing pomade my son has thick hair and I was first using the cremo pomade however after some months it was no longer holding his hair up and I searched for a new one and landed on this one. I have been using this product for years (4-5 years). I have thick hair, and the strong hold was really the best. There is nothing "strong" about this product any longer, it has changed…why? It used to be thick and actually strong, not too shiny just perfect. Now it doesn't hold my thick hair in place, and just running your finger through the tub, you can tell it has changed, it's more like the original hold now.
