Always read the return policy before purchasing. This product arrived in a dirty, stomped on box (the pretty interior box holding the product) and the serum has no safety seal whatsoever. The box is also not sealed. Do you all put this product in your head when there is no product safety seal?! No way for me. Especially since it came in a dirty box. Who knows how adulterated this could be. The return policy says even if dissatisfied as a first time buyer, they will refund LESS the original shipping and you have to ship it back yourself no label provided. Unbelievable. I started adding the Activating Serum as part of my hair growth journey in December 2020, after I noticed a dramatic increase in balding in certain areas of my hair. I received this product for free from Influenster and Dr. Berg Haircare in exchange for my honest review of the product. I tried using the product several times, alternating how much of the serum I used each time. I did not like the feeling of the serum in my hair, and it seemed difficult to get wash out. The serum felt very oily and greasy feeling while in my hair and it took several washes to get it out. The instructions say to massage it into your scalp for 10-15 minutes. I’m not sure about others, but there was no way I was going to spend 10-15 minutes massaging it in. I have used other serums and never had to massage it in for that long. Okay so first off, the directions are a bit of a turn off. Massage it for 10-15 mins on your scalp? That’s a long time. I did maybe 3 and that was enough for me. Next the scent, not my favorite but bearable. The feel, well…. It’s oil so I expected it to feel oily but this coated my skin and I had to wash my hands twice pretty thoroughly and they still felt a bit oily afterwards. Didn’t really sink in, just sits on top. First off, people are complaining about it not working basically overnight. Did you know the most expensive hair growth serums can take up to 6 months to see results? I've used the best of the best but then realized, cheaper stuff works just as good especially with biotin. BIOTIN is what makes your hair grow so their label is not incorrect. When you give it at least 3 months to work, your hair will appear fuller and thicker. I've read the reviews on this product stating that you should "begin" to see hair growth within 4-6 months. I saw (and felt) growth within 30 days!!! Was excited to try this, the ingredients are phenomenal and I loveee the smell. Unfortunately, after using as directed for about 4 weeks, my hair started to actually thin out and fall out. My scalp became very red and sensitive after leaving this on for more than a couple hours. I think this is clearly not for thinner & finer curls, but for hair with low porosity. This is the first time I buy a Camille Rose product and I am very satisfied. The oils contained are all natural and are renown for beautifying the hair. I apply every night on my scalp and then I massage in circular motion to help the serum penetrate the follicles and work its magic. It is too early for me to comment on its efficacy in terms of hair growth, but surely it leaves my long, curly, untreated hair shinier and healthier looking. It is a little more expensive than other serums available on iHerb, but I believe it is worth the money because it only contains natural oils (no mineral oils, parabens etc..). Omg, this oil is the bees's knees! Holy heavens, it smells like cherry cream soda and is good enough to eat, coming from someone who is extremely sensitive to smells! It is amazing with Ayurvedic, organic ingredients, lightweight and suitable for daily use as a leave in during nightly scalp massages, weekly hot oil treatments or added to a deep conditioning mask. First off, people are complaining about it not working basically overnight. Did you know the most expensive hair growth serums can take up to 6 months to see results? I've used the best of the best but then realized, cheaper stuff works just as good especially with biotin. BIOTIN is what makes your hair grow so their label is not incorrect. When you give it at least 3 months to work, your hair will appear fuller and thicker. For me, I have alopecia and scalp issues but as long as I am patient and keep the regular routine, the product works great. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a weak.

I've used the GRO Hair Serum for Thinning Hair for 3 full months. I personally did not see any difference in my hair or any new baby hair growth starts. I also do not see my individual hairs growing thicker or having any less shedding than before. I have long had issues with hair thinning and have yet to find something that works for me. I think maybe this serum is more suited for temporary hair changes where hair is likely to grow back anyway, like in like stress-related hair loss rather than ongoing problems like I have. As for the bottle, dispensing, and directions; it says to use one dropper full daily and each bottle lasts one month. I have found that the dropper only fills half way up (about 1 inch high), so when I first started using this I was doing one dropper full as stated. I noticed 2 weeks in that I should have been at a half full bottle but I had more so I started using 2 droppers full daily. Since I was applying to my whole scalp rather than a spot treatment this felt right, like I was actually getting the product everywhere it needed to go. So for me 2 droppers full daily works out to one bottle per month. This needs to be addressed in the directions as people might be using too little product as there is no fill line on the dropper and it doesn't fill to the top. As for texture, this isn't oily and didn't make my hair greasy. I applied it at night and massaged it in. Once dry it is like it was never there so there is no residue. So overall, if you have ongoing hair loss issues this might not be for you as it didn't work for me. If you have temporary hair loss, check the other reviews to see if it works for others in similar situations. If you are spot treating then one dropper might be enough, but for full scalp, you may need 2 droppers.HallieAllie
This serum is lovely because it is light. I have an oily scalp and I am trying to train my hair to not get oily so quickly by not washing it everyday. I go about 4 days right now without washing my hair and I apologize in advance for the oily hair before and after pictures but I am just being honest. I was skeptical about applying a serum on my scalp everyday because like I said, I don't wash my hair daily and using my fingers to disperse it felt like I was just going to get more oils on it. However, this serum does not make my hair more oily. It actually feels absorbs quickly into my hair and is light/thin like water. I applied it daily on dry hair at night-time focusing on my hairline and then massaging towards the entire scalp. I do notice a difference in my hair after using it for 3 months. I have been struggling with hair loss for 18 mo (so it wasn’t seasonal shedding) plus breakage after a perm at a salon. I am in peri menopause only last few months, but possible it was hormone related. I have tried shampoos, changing salon color products (I never used box dye), co washing (made my hair stink), washing less often, various supplements, and a couple natural oils. Some did help the texture and condition but my hair continued to come out in clumps when I washed it plus whatever fell out when just using a wide tooth comb and starting at bottom and working up.
