I love this. My daughter's curls are 3a-c. Sometimes when doing my daughter's hair, especially when combing to braid up/or for braids, it can get very dry during the process. A little bit of this oil, not much at all, just a pea sized amount, helped tremendously! I will ALWAYS choose this over unnatural, synthetic, over fake fragranced oils! Usually when i braid my daughter's hair, she has an itchy scalp before the end of the night, even after using dandruff shampoo and leave in. So far she has had no itching for 24 hours. I suggest while braiding the hair, look for the flakey spots after washing well, then add dime sized amounts to the spot. Me? I added while combing, then added some over the braids. Very happy with the ingredients, texture and smell. I would not advise using this every day prior to styling your hair because it is mostly comprised of oil. It is going to be greasy so what I found effective is applying it with grow gorgeous hair density serum to the scalp. I mix them together and massage my scalp for a minute. Then I take about a nickel size of this oil by itself all the way down thru the rest of the hair brushing from scalp to tip. If you are curly or wavy you obviously can leave out the brushing part and rely on your hands to evenly distribute the product. I put it up in a bun overnight and wash in the morning. I do this twice a week the night before I wash and condition my hair. I do a double wash to ensure I rinse out all the oil. I learned the hard way the first time. I've only been doing this for a couple months but my hair feels and styles nicely afterward so I'll continue on. I have fine stranded medium to thick density hair. This is a very basic product and can ve gotten very cheap at many Asian/Indian shop. Gooseberry oil is great for your hair and scalp, and for the 3-4 dollars you pay it is well worth a go. I have noticed it helps against hair fall and because it's meant to be massaged into the scalp and worked into the ends, it going to be good regardless. Very weak, I was expecting a higher concentration since it say's 100% peppermint oil. I used other 100% extracts before and I know how intense they are supposed to be. This one is already diluted from 100% oil to directly apply to hair (you wouldn't be able to walk around with the concentrate one as it truly burns your skin). I used to use a LOT of silicon gel for my hair because I have a lot of frizzy gray hair. In addition, the first time I used the product I just poured the measured water in without checking consistency. So it was super runny. THe first batch didn't come out well at all. At the top, where I generally apply silicon, I got no coverage. Even with using the stripping product. I could see good coverage further down the hair and I reached out to Khadi who generously sent me another box to try. The 2nd time I still hadn't stopped using the silicon for very long when I made the product way too ***** and the coverage was mediocre. I could tell I was on the right track so I tried again. I waited months with no silicone use (I used face butter with shea and face cleaner from Missouri Herbs on etsy to calm the frizz). Then I did the stripping product and we mixed the hair color till the consistency was just right and applied. Oh My, it's better than I could imagine! Complete coverage, the color looks totally natural, my scalp isn't stained, and it is gorgeous. My hair feels better too! I love it!! I waited to leave this review till I had the color in a few weeks and it's still amazing. I wish I could attach pictures. I'm sensitive to all chemicals and can't go into a beauty salon. Firstly the smell just draws you in and transports you to a lovely serene place. I love how my hair feels after shampooing, leaving a silky feel and shine. In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. Some hair oils I love for example are the Olaplex and Gisou hair oils!hailey.p
i got this in a free gift set of a lot of minis & samples and i didnt expect much from it at all; i have used many different hair oils before and never really "clicked" with any of them. i also didn't expect to even remember half the items i got in this sample kit because there were so many. this stood out enough for me to take a picture of the little sachet before throwing it out. i thought i accidentally used too much but even with me using a lot it didn't weigh my hair down at all. in fact it actually gave me more volume, somehow, and my hair usually gets flat & greasy quite quickly. it smells so nice and the scent is subtle but lingers all day. it made my hair look so glossy & thick. i will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.aj

I started using this in August 2020. It has done wonders for my hair. In November my beautician remarked at how soft my hair is. I found the best way to use it to apply the night before I plan on washing my hair. After I massage into the scalp and brush through my hair I then put my hair into a shower cap. I get my blow dryer and on a low setting I point the dryer at the shower cap and try to get an even distribution of heat. I do this for 5-10 minutes then wrap a warm towel around the shower cap. My sister recommended this oil for me because I told her that my hair was thinning, in my crown. Today is my first day using it 10/11/2020, I will come back with a review in about a week or two or maybe a month and hopefully I will have good news. It smells like herbs and spices which I don't mind at all, because I'm used to the smell of all of the ingredients that's in this oil.
I suffer from telogen effluvium so when bouts of stress come and i start losing hair like crazy or just want the extra boost i use this. i was able to get my hair to grow out an inch when using this in combination with a scalp stimulating spray, a scalp massager (that i used daily), and the proper vitamins (B-complex and collagen). it was the most my hair has ever grown.

Although I love making my own oil mixtures to promote healthy scalp and assist with hair growth, I love this oil. The price is awesome and one bottle normally lasts me about a month or two. It smells soooo good and I love how lightweight the formula is. I have ultra sensitive skin and scalp and this oil does not irritate me or make my scalp itch as with some other oils. There is very minimal build up from this product. It makes your hair shine look super healthy when it is applied to your scalp. When I straighten my hair I love to apply this to my scalp and brush through my hair as I wrap it at night. By the morning there is no frizz, my hair has a bunch of shine and no oily residue left behind and doesn't weigh my hair down. When my hair is in its natural curly/coily state I like to apply to damp or dry hair and massage it into my scalp for about 5-10 minutes. I love this stuff. For just under $2 at Walmart, I use the after I shower on my hair, body and face. When I do my nails, I put it on my nail bed and cuticles. I also put a slightly larger amount in my hair once a week while massaging it in and in the month and a half I've had it, my hair has become so much healthier. It's growing out after shaving my head so I'm at the awkward stage. It's got one of the most amazing scents ever too! I barely use my body sprays and perfumes anymore (Bath Body stuff) because I like this scent much more. I can't say it's helped my hair or nails grow but my skin feels soft and nourished and my hair looks/feels absolutely amazing. This stuff is so cheap but works amazing. I use it as a body moisturizer instead of baby oil. It nourishes better than baby oil and doesn’t stay as greasy. It almost completely soaks into your skin. Found this bad boy at Walmart for less than $3! My hair has been feeling kind of dry lately and I've had some flakes in my hair. I put a couple tablespoons of this in my damp hair, from root to tip. I dampened a towel and microwaved it for a few minutes and then wrapped my hair up in it and let it sit for about 25 minutes. It took a few washes to get it out so next time I won't use so much or put it so close to my scalp. It has a strong scent…I didn't mind it but everyone else did. Once I finally got it out (I literally had to mix a drop of DAWN DISHSOAP into my shampoo) my hair felt so silky!! Even the ends looked healthier! Was excited to try this, the ingredients are phenomenal and I loveee the smell. Unfortunately, after using as directed for about 4 weeks, my hair started to actually thin out and fall out. My scalp became very red and sensitive after leaving this on for more than a couple hours. I think this is clearly not for thinner & finer curls, but for hair with low porosity. This is the first time I buy a Camille Rose product and I am very satisfied. The oils contained are all natural and are renown for beautifying the hair. I apply every night on my scalp and then I massage in circular motion to help the serum penetrate the follicles and work its magic. It is too early for me to comment on its efficacy in terms of hair growth, but surely it leaves my long, curly, untreated hair shinier and healthier looking. It is a little more expensive than other serums available on iHerb, but I believe it is worth the money because it only contains natural oils (no mineral oils, parabens etc..). Also I like its light, sweet scent which is very unobtrusive. I am planning to try the other Camille Rose products available on iHerb. Omg, this oil is the bees's knees! Holy heavens, it smells like cherry cream soda and is good enough to eat, coming from someone who is extremely sensitive to smells! It is amazing with Ayurvedic, organic ingredients, lightweight and suitable for daily use as a leave in during nightly scalp massages, weekly hot oil treatments or added to a deep conditioning mask. It actually soaks into my low porosity hair type, instead of just staying on the surface and making it oily, which is huge! This castor oil is a must for someone trying to repair their edges!! I have been suffering with hair loss around my forehead and temples. I actually developed a bald spot and no longer felt comfortable wearing my hair back because of it. I have seen amazing results with this oil. I mix a few drops of it with my face moisturizer and apply around my hairline before bed every night. I have significant new growth to the point the bald spot is almost gone. This stuff really works. I absolutely LOVE this oil! Theres so many different ways to use this product and for the $10 price point it lasts a long time. I usually only use 1-2 pumps max and since this is a thicker oil a little goes a long way. You can add this oil to your conditioner or hair mask for that added moisture or add it to your lotion or moisturizer. For the past 2 weeks every night i will use 1 pump to my ring finger warm it up a little between my fingers and put this right under my eyes then put my eye cream on top.
