My hair is shoulder length, fine, highlighted and prone to frizz and flyaways. This is great at detangling, adding shine and reducing frizz. My hair looks much healthier when I use it. I generally apply after shampooing and conditioning, and I only have to apply the tiniest amount (about half a small pea’s worth) to get good results, which means that a tube lasts a long, long time, and makes it easier to justify the cost. It does weigh hair down a bit, but I’m very happy with the effect it gives. It’s lightly scented, but the fragrance isn’t overly strong and doesn’t interfere with perfumes or other fragrance. Also, I often find I get breakouts when I use other hair serums where my hair touches my face, but I’ve had no problems at all with this one. I wish this wasn’t so good! Lol. It’s an expensive product but it is incredible. I struggle finding a product like this that doesn’t make my hair look super greasy and gross or weigh it down. This gives me the shine I want (I don’t have to use a lot) without the gross issues my hair looks so healthy even though I just used a blow dryer and straightened it . My hair looks great for DAYS. It’s worth the money, but this line is so expensive. It doesn’t have a strong scent which can be a pro or con for some. My only problem with it is that it’s not a heat protectant. So I have to use another product with it which bothers me. Still….worth it lol. I feel like they need to make it protect against heat. Then it would be the perfect product. I have bleached thin hair, pretty damaged, so I was looking for something to use after washing my hair to make it easier to detangle and make it smoother and softer overall. Also I was intrigued by claims of super shine. I can not say that it didn't deliver, but I wasn't super in love, I wasn't gravitating towards it. I didn't notice intense shine or gloss, after it dries on your hand, for example, I can see tiniest shimmer parts (they are barely visible, but they are present), which I am also not a big fan of. Also the smell is a bit strong for my liking, and not that much frizz control, thus 4/5 from me. I must say that I usually don't blow dry my hair, but leave it air dry. I didn't notice much difference after using it. That said, I used it very lightly, as I have hair that gets weighed down easily by creams. I think that in the end, this product may not have been a good fit for me and my needs — but it's not necessarily the product's fault. Someone with hair that's more tolerant of creams may really like this.
I usually use this on dry hair in between shampooing when I want to smooth down frizz. It also works as a leave-in conditioner/prep on wet hair before styling cream. It's smoothing and moisturizing and leaves hair soft. It does seem to straighten my curls a bit when I use it on dry hair. The tube is very small, and while you don't need to use a lot, if you have thick hair it will run out pretty fast.

This is a good leave in cream for softening and managing hair. It is light and not very oily. I use it on my hair after I wash it and in between protective styling so that my hair doesn't get real dry and brittle. It softens the hair, strengthens and hydrates it. My hair drys out easily and this is good while it's still moist and as far as softening but it doesn't prevent the dry spells as my hair can go back to as if nothing was put on it in like 4 hours and no I do not re-apply this cream. I don't want build up. I give it 4 stars because although it doesn't last long it does keep hair manageable and if your hair is curly it will keep the form after its drys and have your curls soft.maika.r
When I first used this leave-in I didnt use it as directed because I was basing my judgement off of looks/texture of the product. My hair was wet then I appied the product and thats when I realized having your hair wet vs damp waters down the product. So with this leave-in please follow the instrustions when applying. Upon second use and application it didnt feel moisturizing to my strands. I really had to work the product into my hair. Yes, it has alot of oils in it, yes it made my curls pop a little, but it felt like Nivea lotion (when it first came out idk about now, I dont use that lotion) texture and all. If you know, you know. It doesnt feel as tho its sitting on my strands but it doesnt feel as tho it penatraded my strands. I purchased this recently to soften and nourish my dry 4c hair and I was pleasantly surprised. A little goes a long way and it left my hair feeling rich, moisturised and manageable. It has a fluffy and buttery consistency. When I first got it was a bit disappointed at the size because of the price but it didnt matter.I have only been using it for 2 weeks but I can tell the difference in my hair length already. Great smell! Thick and moisturizing, without feeling heavy or greasy. However, as much as I would like to praise it further, it’s moisturizing effect lasts only about 24 hours. It doesn’t have a significant amount of alcohol, yet its moisturizing effect wears off. Therefore, it cannot be my “go to” for my winter scalp. I don’t like the idea of having to constantly reapply between washes. It’s great on natural 4C hair, but not moisturizing enough for dry winter scalp.
I bought this on the basis of all the positive reviews. I am so disappointed. I know things don't work for all hair types, but given what this is made from, and all the people with 4C hair who are raving about it, it should surely have worked on my 3A/B type hair, long with two curl types. It does absolutely nothing for my hair. Nothing. I washed my hair and used this and a sister product, and the following morning my hair was as dry as anything. Dryer than if I'd just washed and conditioned. Obviously it must relate to my hair type, as others have raved about it, but I just don't see why. Will stick to Cantu in future. Keracare Natural Textures Butter Cream is a moisturiser not a styling product. I found this product worked best when using a surface free moisturising shampoo and conditioner. I bought this thinking it was more for styling because I heard it gave good definition; this product does give good definition and reduces frizz, however found there was still shrinkage and my hair was still puffy. My hair is thick, but the product didn't stretch the curls at all and was a little heavy. I have used other moisturising products that stretches my curls more, but admittedly it does say it's for moisturising. I have purchased the defining custard for styling but heard this can be crunchy,so will apply the butter cream after. Hopefully the product will work better!Lilly
I don't know what was wrong with this product but it smelled awful. I've purchased this makers product a number of times and the smell wasn't over whelming and it was light with a floral scent. But this product smelled OLD! As if it had been setting on the shelf for a while and whomever needed to get rid of it due to it expiration date. I rubbed some of the product in my hands and there were clumps in jar. I don't know what the shelf life of these products are but this one was not good in my opinion. I will purchase it from somewhere else to compare the two product to see if this is just how the product smells. If so, KeraCare shame on you.debbie

This is one of the best moisturizers I have come by, it leaves my hair shiny, defined, and my curls look healthier than ever! It pairs well with gel or even by itself. I can easily refresh my curls with just this product alone. I use it in damp hair and even on dry hair if I'm just refreshing my ends. It was not as thick as many comments made it out to be, I have 3b/c curls and it works on my hair great! It also can be watered down adding water to it as you apply it. Those using this line should be aware most of these products are made for those with thicker curls/coils. So if you have thinner or wavy hair this may not be the product for you. This product works really well for my type 4, frizzy, high porosity hair. I have a mix of fine and coarse strands, so I wouldn't recommend this to someone with only super fine hair, as it is, as others have noted, thick and somewhat sticky if you don't move fast enough. I've found ways around this by thinning it out with water and covering the jar with the lid when I'm not actively scooping out product to use (it will become sticky and thicken up when exposed to air for too long). Works well for me when I work in small sections, apply it to one section, and immediately twist that section. If you apply it to your whole head at once and think you're going to go back through and easily twist it all, think again! It will become tacky and tangle your hair if left to sit on it without styling. This hasn't been a problem for me when untwisting my hair though. It's too heavy for me to use on wash days, so I stick to lighter products like Melanin' leave-in and butter. But this is my go-to when I refresh/re-moisturize my hair a week later. I lightly dampen my hair, apply a tiny bit of Melanin leave-in, then a layer of this and follow with a layer of grease/oil. Helps smooth down my frizz without my usual need for gel or mousse. The scent is too strong for me, but I like fragrance-free everything, so I can't really weigh in on this aspect. I've never experienced flaking with this; however, I don't use more than a dime size amount on each chunky twist and I always follow it with grease/oil, so one or both of these could be the reason why.Gina
I have 4b, high porosity hair and this product keeps it super moisturized. I use it about 3 times a week, whenever I style my hair and after I wash it. It is the only product I've tried that really does the job. It's great if you have a simple hair care routine but if you like to style your hair a lot, or define your curls with gel it can be kind of unfortunate. It doesn't mix well with gel AT ALL. I LOVE this leave in! It smells so delightful, and really makes your hair feel nice. I actually applied this product right after my wash, and right before my deep condition. I had an idea that it could possibly help with the strengthening part of the process, underneath the deep conditioner. Like I said about the shampoo, when I had saeen all the great reviews for the Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength Fortifying Conditioner, I was very excited to try it. What I was left with though, was an absolutely terrible, tangled mess. I washed my hair with the Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength Fortifying Shampoo, and upon feeling what a dried out, tangled mess my hair was, applied a TON of the Goddess Strength Conditioner, and left it on for 5+ minutes. The instructions said to do this if you wanted to "use it as a mask". Trust me, my hair felt like it needed it. I normally use Redken Extreme Lengths Conditioner and mask on my hair which de-tangle my hair- no problems. While I was in the shower I tried running a finger through my hair. I couldn't get anywhere near the ends of my hair without running into a knot- and they were NOT coming out. Normally with my other conditioner my fingers would slide right through, but this conditioner felt different and not in a good way. I left it on for a few minutes and rinsed it out. After getting out of the shower, I towel-dried my mid-back length hair and went to work on the knots. It took me over an hour, and half a bottle of detangler to get the knots out. Then it took 2 other hair products to get my hair semi smoothed and free of frizz. I never have this problem with my other shampoo and conditioner. Maybe my hair just isn't compatible with this system, but my hair is about a 2C/3A, so I don't know why that would be the issue. The conditioner itself smelled nice but that was about it, kind of fruity. This product helps target weak strands, restoring moisture and fortifying hair so each strand is stronger. My hair tends to get very dry from the weather, so I look for ingredients that will give my hair life. The castor oil black seed work so amazing for my hair. After one use I noticed how much it helped reduce shedding/breakage. I use the shampoo, conditioner leave in every wash day now. i decided to try this in conjunction with the sheamoisture low porosity line. i have thick 2b, 2c, 3a hair but not a ton of it. it's been damaged over the years from heat and coloring and probably from using the wrong products this whole time. my hair is low porosity and protein sensitive but this mask as a deep conditioner once a week has absolutely transformed my hair. it's soft both straight out the shower and air dried. it's not as tangled and way easier to comb through which has made my hair fall out a lot less. the mask is thick but has good slip and i don't feel my hair is stringy when i'm running it through my hair. i don't think i've ever felt my hair this soft before. highly recommend if you have dry, moisture resistant hairpia
I liked the texture of this and the way it applied. It was very smooth, had great slip, absorbed into my hair rather than just sitting on top and because of how well it applied, a little went a long way. Once I rinsed my hair out, I felt like it could’ve been softer and shinier. I’ve definitely used deep conditioners that left my hair feeling much better than this one. I don’t have curls, my hair is mostly straight. My hairdresser told me I may be in protein overload so I researched the best nourishing products without protein. I bought this and I did as the instructions asked. My hair looks and feels better. The smell is nothing to me. My hair is also thin and fine and it didn’t weigh it down. I barely used any. I’m very optimistic with this product after just one use. You don’t have to have curls to use this. Everyone needs a good nourishing mask!

I have been MORE than pleasantly surprised at just how much this TGIN Miracle RepaiRx protective leave-in has left my thick but fine, bleached and colored hair EVERY TIME I've used it!! Silky soft hair that detangles easily and DOES NOT WEIGH MY HAIR DOWN!! The ingredient deck on these TGIN products is phenomenal! I am a licensed professional so I have access to nearly every prestige professional hair brands everyday and I truly love some of my HG favorites….BUT…TGIN MIRACLE REPAIRX PROTECTIVE LEAVE IN LEAVES MY HAIR SMOOTH, SOFT, SHINY, EASILY DETANGLED (my fine hair sisters out there know the struggle is real after shampooing and conditioning to get pretty long thick but fine hair strands to detangle can get us twisted and angry.) I used to have dry, frizzy unmanageable curly hair (3b). I've tried nearly every product for curly hair and *nothing* has worked like this leave-in. My hair is now shiny and smooth, but retains my curls too. I can actually brush through my hair on no-wash days and my curls maintain their shape. With other products, my curls would fall and get frizzy by mid-day. I know everyone responds uniquely to products, but I am so happy to to find my holy grail! Other reviews mentioned to use it sparingly; I use it very, very liberally. My hair soaks up leave-in conditioner so I probably use 10 pumps, concentrating on the crown and ends. I do t understand some of these reviews, like it not being thick? This is a very thick leave in and you really need to use sparingly. I feel like if you actually put enough in to coat the majority of your hair to reap the benefits you would have a greasy head full of hair. I got this because I was a bit on protein overload and while my hair has felt softer it's not done anything to repeat or seal split ends like it claims. Doing a bunch of research after this issue I've found that although coconut oil is a big fad it is actually not good for a lot of hair types. ESPECIALLY if your dealing with excess protein in your hair, it will make the problem worse since coconut oil causes protein buildup. Wish I had know that before purchasing. Seeing as how so many products have coconut oil in them that's probably how I wound up in the mess to begin with. Just a FYI for anyone else that may be having the same issue. Now I do like TGIN repair mask, although I don't like the smell necessarily, I also don't get the amazing smell others claim regarding this leave in?! I tried this one before and quickly dismissed it because I felt it was somewhat greasy but after trying it again and using it faithfully, I learned my hair LOVES Glycerin which is pretty high up on the ingredients list. This is the only product that keeps my hair moisturized for a long time and really helps with manageability. The key is keeping in mind that a little goes a long way. I have natural/4a hair. I used this product after taking down a 6 week protective. I started off by shampooing with the TGIN Rosewater hydrating shampoo ( Which I LOVE). After that, I applied this protein treatment for about 10-15 mins. I immediately followed up with the TGIN Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask.. it left my hair feeling amazingly healthy.My hair went from feeling limp and brown to shedding and breakage, to strong and resilient to shedding & breakage. I'm not sure if I would have gotten these same great results if I didn't follow up with the deep conditioner as suggested on the bottle. Will definitely buy again! 🙂Taylor D
For anyone who doesn't know- protein treatments HAVE TO BE USED WITH A HYDRATING/ MOISTURIZING conditioner as the second step. I am wearing my hair curly and it's hard to tell if my hair is stronger. It did leave my hair feeling dry and I left it in without heat for thirty minutes under a shower cap wrapped in a bath towel. I have been experiencing a lot of split ends, breakage along the shaft and just overall not happy with my hair journey so I am praying for good results. Use this in my 1 yr old’s fine, curly hair as a daily moisturizer along with aloe vera juice and essential oils. I also use it to style her hair, either method keeps her curls soft, moisturized and detangled, while helping to hold her style in place. My texture is thick and curly and my hair has the same results. I do not use it to hold my styles as my texture is too thick and requires more hold. I bought this product not knowing my hair type which is my bad. So if you have low porosity hair like me, this product might not be the best for you. I used this weekly and found that my hair felt extra greasy and had a lot of build up. The butters caused weighed down my curls and they still had a lot of frizz. It does smell good and I bet would be great for high porosity hair. But if you have low porosity hair, it's probably better to just avoid this product.Kenna

This product is my favorite as of right now. The masque is so hydrating and moisturizing for my type 4 hair. The slip is amazing ! It’s not super thick which was surprising for a Masque but don’t let the looks fool you ! This is the perfect consistency and will keep your hair moisturized for a week ! First and foremost, I want to thank God for the fact that this doesn't contain coconut oil in it (or if it's there it's a small amount). My hair hates coconut oil and it seems like all hair care products for hair like mine containt coconut oil in some capacity. Secondly, I like this cowash and use it for that function or as a prepoo/detangler to help get my hair ready to be washed with a shampoo. This has a lot of slip for my hair type (natural 4a/b, coily, super shrinky, fine strands but a ton of them, super dry hair) when used as a detangler and I like that I can slather it on after misting each section, then go through and break up and tangles with my fingers. I've included a pic of my hair to give you an idea of what I'm working with in case there are any similar hair twins out there. This product really works and makes a difference. I put it on my hair after shampooing, leave in for one hour with a plastic shower cap, then rinse out. It's extremely difficult to find hair care products for people who are of mixed ethnicity. When you have very long thick hair like mine it can be a struggle to maintain. I try to look for a product that is natural and one I can recommend to friends and family. That's when I came across the Honey Daily Moisturizer and it was exactly what I was looking for. I really like the design of the label and that they didn't skip out on the amount of product you get as it's filled to the rim. After one use it brought my natural waves back to life and it left my hair super soft. I was able to run a brush through my hair without tearing my strands and my knots had almost disappeared. The formula is lightweight and doesn't have that sticky or heavy feel to it. One thing for sure is it did an awesome job at calming my frizz down which is mainly around the roots of my hair. I bought this for my 6 month old son who has very kinky black hair (an amazballs fro that brad would kill to get his hands on), and myself who has loose, curly waves (and I am hispanic) so I needed something dynamic. This works great for both our hair, but especially my sons fro! After bath, comb out the kinks, pull this through his hair, let dry, and then poof it up! Before i had my hair bleached by my wonderful long time hair stylist, i used the brand mondo wave tech foam for my natural curly hair. So after having my hair bleached by my stylist i had no issue or second thought to order the wave tech hydration foam. It did not go well. My hair clumped together badly, and became extremely knotted again, after using the xmondo toner shampoo. Fast forward to trying to brush it when it was dry. I had horrible sticky caked product on my scalp, hair, and in my detangling brush. Horrible to feel how sticky and caked my hair was. Much like a few other hair lotions that I've tried, I have found that these products are highly ineffective for long, biracial hair. I am half South Asian and half East African, and my hair is part my hips and 3b curls. This product smells quite bad, and the scent does not dissipate as the day goes on. Additionally, I've noticed that this formula absolutely does not moisturize my hair. Again, I acknowledge that I'm probably not the target audience for a product like this, as it really seems best for 4a+ textures and/or shorter styles. But for those of you whose hair can be defined similarly to mine, save your money and look elsewhere for hydrating products.

I've been using this brand for a few years. Recently I tried a cheaper brand but it was not the same. I am 60 years and my hair has become coarse. Also, I use henna on my hair which tends to dry it a little on the ends. My hair is very long so the ends get dry and brittle. I use this hair cream on the bottom half of my hair. It super silky and soft. I highly recommend it.gardenoftomatoes
Like the softness it gave. Two of my bottles pump didn't work. Its nothing like the old product and there was picture of the same brown bottle for which I have purchased from Sally's before not Walmart. I was expecting to see the brown bottle. It appears that the picture on the website wasn't updated on Walmart Site . I was charged for the price of the size of that brown bottle not the product that was sent in a different bottle and of a smaller size containing a lesser amount from the same company. It appears the ngredients are different and even the smell. The newer one has a nice smell to it but its a different product over all. Delivery was on timeMelissa
