20 Best Hair Oils For Bleached Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. This has spurred me on to use up my old oils and then I will be buying this for sure….I also noted that other reviews have suggested other products of the same brand to use at the same time. I will therefore spend some time reading other reviews for tips and ideas of others with the same hair typre.Twindy

My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! I do use a diffuser just to hit my roots for volume, but that’s it. I went from unruly frizzy curls, to blownout & straightened, to naturally curly shiny non-frizzy hair. It's been YEARS since my hair was this soft. My hair started to get thinner, dry, and dull in my mid twenties and I tried all kinds of things like overnight hair masks, Prose "personalized" shampoo/conditioner, Vegamour drops, and nothing made a difference. I'm in the ocean every day which takes a toll on my super-fine and fragile blonde hair. A friend recommended OLAPLEX and I absolutely love it! In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. I feel that I can find a cheaper oil to smooth my hair after blowing it out.PastaPrincess69

This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. Some hair oils I love for example are the Olaplex and Gisou hair oils!hailey.p

i got this in a free gift set of a lot of minis & samples and i didnt expect much from it at all; i have used many different hair oils before and never really "clicked" with any of them. i also didn't expect to even remember half the items i got in this sample kit because there were so many. this stood out enough for me to take a picture of the little sachet before throwing it out. i thought i accidentally used too much but even with me using a lot it didn't weigh my hair down at all. in fact it actually gave me more volume, somehow, and my hair usually gets flat & greasy quite quickly. it smells so nice and the scent is subtle but lingers all day. it made my hair look so glossy & thick. i will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.aj

This is my second purchase. I started with a trial bottle. I really liked it so went ahead and splurged on the full size. I am 50, my hair is nearly 100% white, and is not color treated, this is the result of natural aging. For this reason, my hair has uneven texture and can be quite dry. This product works well with my hair, giving me a smooth result without being oily or greasy. After trying this I bought the Silk Express Miracle Silk Leave-In. I'm contrasting my thoughts below. Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin gives me a smooth, "finished" look without appearing greasy or oily. It dries quickly when styling and doesn't have a bad smell. However, it can cause my hair to feel somewhat synthetic. It's difficult to describe, but I believe that's the result of the keratin on the hair shaft. It's not bad, but it gives off hair that looks more styled, or "done," than I prefer. Silk Express Miracle Silk Leave-In also gives me a smooth, finished look, but it's a very natural look. My hair is bouncy and silky when I use the Silk Express Leave-In. With the Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin, my hair appears like it's been flat ironed. Silk Express appears like a really light, natural blow out. Also, my hair feels silky, healthy, and naturally, by contrast the Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin makes my hair feel fake. Neither product cause my hair to look or be greasy or oily, which is awesome, so I can go two or even three days without washing my hair and it's totally fine. The major thing I don't like about the Silk Express product is that it's got an overly perfumed smell (although it dissipates when dried) and that it takes 20 lifetimes for it to dry down. I mean, I'm literally standing, drying my hair, for half an hour with the Silk Express product. They say the Keratin product speeds up drying time. I don't find that to be the case at all. However, the Silk Express product really takes an inordinate amount of time to dry down – and goodness forbid you put too much on your hair. Both are good products, I have a bottle of each on my bathroom counter and use them regularly.Victoria

If i could rate this OVER a 5 , i absolutely would do that because this leave in conditioner is the best ive ever used …by far!! My 11 year old daughter and myself love using this for our very long hair because it makes our hair feel and look amazing , shiny and so healthy! And not just that, it smells wonderful as well. I cant imagine a world without 'Its a 10' leave in conditioner LOL!! You will never see my bathroom without this leave in conditioner spray on the shelves because i make sure we never run out of it, and go and order more before that can occur because i dont want to ever go back to a day when my hair was without Its a 10! This is a salon hair product basically as it was first sold in salons exclusively if i am not mistaken…and then later on it started being sold in drug stores , grocery stores, walmarts etc…However, it does still cost what salon exclusive products do for the most part. This might turn folks who have never tried Its A 10 products away from purchasing them. They are higher priced than most other drug store hair care items however, i can say with absolute certainty that the leave in conditioner spray i used faithfully is 100% worth every penny. It is very high quality and is golden in terms of hair care for sure!! When i first purchased the leave in conditioner spray, because i didnt know if i was going to like it enough to ourchase the fulll size product so i noticed there was smaller travel sized option for a lot less money obviously. So i purchased that initially to see if i approved of it for my hair specifically. That being said, i definitely recommend this leave in conditioning spray. It is a very necessary part of my own hair care routine and i highly recommend this quality product . You will love it!!!kara.f

I have used this product on a DAILY basis for the last 10 years! Though I ran out and tossed out the bottle today before I remembered to take a pic for my review, I still wanted to post SOMETHING! This product has SAVED my hair!! I haven't been dying it nearly as often as I used to years ago, but it still hasn't entirely healed from all of the processing I HAVE done in the past and due to this, I have semi dry, frizzy, and naturally curly hair. Using this product, fixes ALL of my issues! Not only does it work as a leave in conditioner, it's. Great detangler first and foremost! It leaves your hair milky soft, smells amazing, contains the frizz even in this insanely hot summer weather, along with many other benefits! I Highly recommend this to anyone, regardless of what your hair is like! Though it's a little bit pricey in some stores, it's worth every penny and a little bit of product goes a long way!megan.s

This has been a godsend for me personally. It's also the only oil I've consistently repurchased. A little goes a long way so the large bottle lasts quite a while. It helps reduce frizz all over and leaves hair looking so healthy and shiny. Again, a little goes a long way, rub between hands well before applying. Definitely test out how much your hair needs because it won't be much. I digress. I let it set a bit before messing with my hair and my curls are so soft and so bouncy after. My curls are between a 3a and 3b so this oil is a miracle oil for me. Highly, highly recommend!anastasia.h

First, let’s talk initially how gorgeous this packaging is because I think we need to take a moment to appreciate it 😍 Initially as I opened the product the entire cap came off and I was wondering how to properly apply this product. I had no idea there was actually a pump because it’s hard to tell and you end up taking the entire cap off. After reading other reviews apparently I’m not the only one this has happened too. Not sure why that happens but it is alittle off putting however if you just pull up on the cap a pump is included for the product to be dispensed, I absolutely love the smell! It smells so good and is heavily scented if that’s not your thing. I used this on my hair two different ways. I applied it to mostly the ends when it was wet after a shower which I didn’t really like the way it made my hair feel. It didn’t feel like it was absorbing into my hair. I also used it dry on the ends and to help flyaways stay down as it was dry and I was blow drying and straightening. I didn’t notice any long term improvement to my hair after using this product but it does smell amazing and keep my frizz at bay. I have curly hair with lots of damage and I definitely need a good oil. I prefer a leave in conditioner but I definitely think a oil has a place in a hair care routine as well. For the price I probably wouldn’t repurchase this product but I definitely want to try other products from this company. I got this in a set with the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner. I really do love the set and feel that they work as a whole to keep my hair silky. I have bleached hair and when using other hair care brands I feel like my hair feels very dry. With Oribe products, my hair feels healthy and rarely gets tangled unlike when using other brands. I tested out Briogeo's be gentle be kind set in the Banana scent and it not only did it dry out my hair, it also gave me A LOT of dandruff. Keep in mind that I have never once noticed dandruff in my hair before using Briogeo. Switched back to Oribe and my hair is as healthy as ever! No dandruff in sight.laura.c

I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! (Full disclosure: don't know if I'd try the other products, unless they were free samples, because I don't know if the same magic translates, but this particular product is definitely A+.)monzav

So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. Fun little tidbit: my moms hair is down past the back of her knees and she’s also around 5’5. That’s a lot of long beautiful hair! her hair has always been long and longer than that my whole life so she’s certainly going to appreciate this oil! It’s a smaller bottle about the size of an essential oil bottle BUT don’t let that fool you! A drop goes an incredibly long way! I promise you if you give this stuff a try you’ll toss out (or donate) the 7 or so other brands of products you’ve desperately tried to make work over the years. I know I did!oanh.n

Now I have very long, semi thick hair, that's very coarse. I use shampoo and conditioner regularly but sometimes that's not enough to give me the sleek shine I like, or if I need help defining my waves during a blowout, the OGX Morrigan and Argan oil is wjat I turn to. It's got a very pleased scent to it, and you need only about a Nickle sized amount distributed through the hair to get the desired results. I bought a little bottle maybe about a year ago for roughly $7 and it is still more than halfway full with constant use. I love the shine it gives my hair and I love how effective it is. And the smell is so fragrant and nice! It makes me feel like I've just come out of a spa day. You can find this at most retailers and like I mentioned it's normally under $10. I would say it's a great investment for split ends and frizzy hair!emily.p

This product is my now go to after I hop out of the shower. Using it on damp hair before a blow dry leaves my hair shiny and smooth all day. It’s given back my dull hair its shine. My hair is bleached so it always feels dry and damaged, even after styling with other heat protectant sprays, but this hair oil has helped maintain my frizz even days after use. I have been using this after the shower for around 4 weeks and am loving it. I’ve gotten a few close friends using it too now as it’s a cheap alternative to the hair oils from the hair care shops. I use a bit over a 50 cent sized amount and have barely made a dint into the product. The ogx argan oil also has a lovely smell that meshes well with my shampoo and conditioner. I can also extend the period of time between washes which is so great as it takes me so long to wash and style my hair. I usually have to wash my hair every three days as it will start getting dry and gets knotty very easily. I can now get around a week before my hair needs a wash. My hair also has been more durable and I have been experiencing way less breakage as well as loosing less hair throughout the day. It’s also become way more easy to brush my hair in the mornings and I’m experiencing much less tangles, I believe this is because my hair is more nourished and healthy so its getting tangled less then with my dry hair with no product. The only negative thing I have noticed is if my hair isn’t damp enough or if i try and use it after straightening my hair it makes my hair look oily and weighed down, this is more user error then a problem with the oil itself. With the negatives aside I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with bleached hair or thicker hair. This oil claims to be a penetrating oil and I whole heartland agree, I have used many oils on the market and most just leave a layer if oil on top (yes even when I apply with towel dried hair) and some are not at all affordable. I have never tried an oil that makes such a difference on my hair and leaves barely any residue, I use a generous amount and my hair still sucks all the oil up. My hair thrives with oil because of how much heat and bleach I use on it, its given my hair so much shine and smoothness back into it. I am extremely happy with how my hair has turned out. Even after bleaching it Last week, I feel like I was able to go blonder then usually as I have been taking care of it and nurturing it with a few new ogx products. I just received it and I love it already! It made my hair really soft, smooth and shiny! Some people complain this is full of chemicals (silicones) that are bad for the hair. The hair is dead and if you want it smooth and shiny, you need to condition it with things like emollients, and some also act as occlusives to seal everything in (such as silicones and argan oil) and they also act as a protective barrier against things like humidity (bye bye frizzy hair). The only problem with silicones is that some are hard to get out the hair, but if you use an appropriate shampoo once in a while (one with sulfates works very well), you will prevent too much build up from happening. But don’t be scared by it, because it’s that build up that protects you hair and makes it look amazing. It won’t damage your hair in the long term, just make sure to use a silicon free shampoo that clarifies the hair once in a while. So yeah, I loved this product. The only downside is the smell. A lot of people love it and I agree that it’s not bad, it’s very fresh and salon-y. But I don’t like my hair smelling hair products too much. It’s not very strong however, so I’m okay about it. Also, don’t use too much, you will make your hair look greasy. I use 2 pea sized amount on each half, but if you have fine hair, use a lot less.silvia.p

I decided to try out this combo shampoo and conditioner and upon first and second use I was pretty impressed. I used them both the day after a partial highlight and found that it kept my hair light and soft which can be hard to accomplish the day after a highlight. Sometimes my hair would come out of the first at home wash fluffy and a little dry. With the product itself I'm happy with, however here are some issues: 1. If you keep the bottle standing upright the product can be hard to get to the top. Even shaking it multiple times only a portion of it gets comes to the cap. I found that I had to keep it sitting upside down in order not to sit in the shower shaking it for a minute or two. 2. If you keep the bottle upside down the product comes out of the cap from the back and the sides. Also, when you use it normally, a lot of the product gets caught in the cap when you open and close it. Outside of the issue with the packaging and the product being a little hard to get to the top, it's one that I would buy again and keep in the rotation.Ashley

With this oil you're basically just paying for expensive smelling silicone. No joke, in my hands it basically just feels like lubricant. Takes forever to wipe off my hands, can't imagine how much it's gunking up my hair. It does smell really nice, and it does smooth the hair down, but I don't believe it's helping make the hair healthier at all in the long run and might even be detrimental for dry curls like mine. 1 star for smell, 1 for absorption. I switched to Olaplex oil and like it much more, the smells are also pretty similar.jaxx612

I love using purple shampoos to keep my blonde bright between salon visits. I was gifted this product for free from the brand in exchange for my honest review. This product definitely helped brighten but I found it a little drying the first couple tries. I paired it with a heavier hair mask in other washes and that helped a little. I loved them scent of this, it lasted on my hair for a while and was nice a clean smelling. Overall a decent purple shampoo and I'd buy this line again.courtyyyy

I have been using this Kerastase Blond Absolu for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it!! My hair has been dyed blonde for decades now, has some dryness, and I thought I would give it a try and I love the results! After washing and conditioning my hair which is really long, I add several pumps to my hands, then I rubbed my hands together, to disperse evenly through my damp hair and brushed it through focusing on dull, dry areas ( adding a little bit more as needed). I loved how silky smooth this serum feels and my hair is instantly detagled and shiny.. Lots of shine!!!! I also love the purple bottle and the holographics! The scent is also very fresh and clean smelling! Gender friendly fragrance!! I also have noticed that when I go to wash my hair it does not get all nappy and tangled. I also noticed that the shampoo rinses out easier. My hair has never looked or felt more healthier than prior to using this serum. It really helps recover damaged hair, leaving it in a much healthier condition…..I can't stop running my fingers through my hair!! My hair feels so lightweight and soft! A little bit goes a long way, even with long hair, like mine. I am overall very satisfied with the quality and results it provides. I would totally recommend this serum to anyone who wants to have shiny, healthier, smooth and frizz free hair!! I think this would be perfect for any hair color!Jmedobra

I absolutely love this product! It’s everything it claims to be and more! The ends of my hair typically look very damaged, especially on the days I don’t wash it so I tried this product for the first time right before I was about to wash it just to see what it did. WOW! I was blown away! I noticed a HUGE difference right away. It didn’t leave my hair greasy looking at all. In fact, it hardly applied like an oil at all, that’s how lightweight it is. I applied a lot of product my first use and even then, it didn’t weigh down my fine hair. It just made it noticeably healthier looking. The scent is very pleasant. It’s the perfect blend of flowers and citrus and isn’t overpowering. This is definitely a 5 start product and I would rebuy this in a heartbeat. I have naturally wavy/curly, fine blonde hair that has been professionally color treated for years, so it is fairly damaged and unruly. I love this product. I've been using the other Kerastase oil serum in the ends of my hair before/after I blow dry and before I go to bed for a few weeks and have had great luck, so I decided to purchase this product. My roots can get greasy if I use too much product close to them, so I start by using this product at my ends and work upward. I've found that 3-4 pumps for my long blonde hair works great. Honestly my hair is smoother, softer, and smells better. This tames any fly-a-ways. The top layers of my hair that have seen the most color/heat over the years tend to look the most damaged after blow drying and this product helps make them look smooth and shiny without looking weighed down or greasy. My friends also have commented that my hair looks blonder and brighter after use.Morg2994

I am suprised this product wasn't even listed here. I had read reviews on this product and they were all positive, so I decided to go out and buy it because the oil I was using left my hair a bit heavy and it wasn't that great. Upon acquiring this product I had really high expectations. I must say, the first couple of times I was unimpressed, in fact, I was quite disappointed. But it turns out my hair does not absorb this well when wet or damp. Ever since I started applying this on towel dried hair, my hair has been AMAZING! Soo so shiny, smooth, soft, hydrated, lightweight… just perfect! Plus my hair absorbs it super quick unlike other oils, and it smells DELICIOUS! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!ana.a

This product works well to tame my frizzy, dry hair. I use three pumps when my hair is wet and one when it is dry. It goes on light and has a faint pleasant smell. It hydrates the ends of my hair for a couple of hours. It doesn’t feel heavy. I only wish it would last a little longer! Still love the product and recommend it! I will purchase again!valerie.t

I thoroughly enjoy this oil, it’s really lightweight for an Argan oil so it doesn’t weigh down my finer hair at all even when I apply this to dry hair in between washes. I really like the smell of this product too and find that it really lasts in my hair as well. My only issue with this oil is that it has silicones in, which after doing some research I’ve now swapped to a silicone-free alternative since this seems to be better for my hair – but I’d recommend looking into this yourself. Overall, this is a really nice oil that I’d definitely consider repurchasing if my current silicone-free oil wasn’t available.Megan

This oil has saved my dead ends, it makes my hair so soft, smell so good and has a beautiful shine. It's really helped revive my damaged hair. Growing up I was always taught to use drug store shampoo conditioner, I had never used anything different or tried any hair oils or masks and where I live we have hard water and it's really taken a toll on my hair over the years. So I started using better shampoo, hair oils, masks treatments and got a shower filter and it's really helped so much. I've tried a couple oils and since using this one I've really noticed a difference. I also have oilyish hair and I thought hair oils would weigh down my hair and make it feel greasy and some that I've tried have but this one doesn't and you don't need much of it. The Quai hair oil is very lightweight and works great as well. Definitely recommendsavannah.b

Most of my life I’ve had very short cuts (pixies and the like) because I never learned how to manage long hair – I was also a teen in the 90s when V05 hot oil was about as good as hair care products got. The past few years I’ve been growing it out just to see how it goes in the modern era with modern hair care products (I feel like some time-traveling Victorian) and was borderline ready to chop it because I still couldn’t figure out how to not make it look like a crazy wild mane of flyaways and snarlballs right about when Covid hit. So I had to suck it up and figure something out. I gave this a try after reading reviews and I’m SO glad I did. My hair looks shiny and glossy and full without even a hint of grease and all of the flyaways are tamed. It’s like photoshop for your hair. And oh MY is it soft! There’s no gooey, sticky residue (I even like how moisturizing it is on my hands afterwards), and I use a pump all over when wet, and another half pump on my ends when dry. Also, I have to mention the scent. I have a hard time with heavy smells, especially on my head since I work out daily which means scents get hyper-activated with sweat. I was worried that the scent would be too much, but it’s light and really clean. I used to use Lush R&B on my ends during the winter which I loved the smell of (it’s too heavy to use year round) but I actually like the smell of this even better. It’s lighter and fresher, and dare I say invigorating? Anyway. Yeah. I still can’t braid or curl or style my hair (I wish this did that for me too!) but at least I look like less of a basketcase and I can get a brush through it now!LizHal

I bought this because a hair oil I used for years stopped being sold, and I used to love Moroccan oil in high school. I have very long hair (it's at the small of my back and I'm 5'7"). It's kind of a light-brown/dark-blonde with a hint of red, moderately dense, but the individual hairs are mostly fine and prone to both dry ends and oily mid-lengths. I always use a curl cream and a hair oil to bring out my waves and keep it soft. My last oil treatment had water as the first ingredient and my hair absolutely loved it. What I liked: A little goes a very long way. Tipping the bottle quickly to coat my fingertip was enough for my wet hair (plus a bit less on the ends when dry). It smells amazing, definitely lived up to my memory of that dreamy Moroccan oil smell. As soon as I applied it, my hair felt wonderfully silky and easy to run my fingers through. After I let it air dry as usual, my mid-lengths were very soft, and even the dead ends felt a little nicer to touch (I really needed a haircut when I tried it). The shine is absolutely incredible! It was glossy all the way to the ends, and didn't make my mid-lengths stringy/oily looking (I use Sebastian dark oil now, and need to be a lot more careful with how much I apply or it gets stringy). I got so many compliments on how shiny my hair was the next day. What I didn't like: The first use was amazing, but after i used it for a couple weeks my hair started to feel heavy and hung straighter. It was still shiny, but looked less full and the ends were getting more dry over time. Ultimately, I think having silicone as a first ingredient makes hair oils too heavy for me (though I've yet to find another with water first). I consider this to be more like "hair makeup". If I was going to an event I would 100% use again for the amazing glossy look and intoxicating smell. It doesn't really make hair healthier or moisturized though, so be cautious if you plan to use it after every wash. Definitely need a good clarifying shampoo.pastelorange

Wish I could have given this a higher rating. I was so excited to use this product along with the shampoo since they both had good reviews with very little bad ones. So I buy them and use them leaving the hair oil on for the directed time then used the shampoo and other conditioner I have. After washing my hair it still looked really oily like I hadn’t washed it for days. I didn’t think much of it but a day or two after the first use I started getting little bumps on my forehead and side of my face on both sides that were itchy and started getting dandruff. I put aloe on the little bumps that helped with the itchiness, I still didn’t think nothing of it so I use the oil again and used a dandruff shampoo to wash it out but felt the symptoms worsen. That’s when I realized I’m having a bad reaction to the product and washed it out again with a different shampoo and went to get Benadryl. I looked more at the reviews and seen a few people had the same experience as I did. Still dealing with the symptoms as it just happens last week. Would have given it zero stars if I could! Have been using this product for a few weeks in hopes of it thickening up my edges. My hair has mostly been in protective styles and wanted to work on strengthening it. I noticed how the back of my neck would burn a bit/ itch after about 5-10 minutes from applying. However, I continued to use it as I thought it may just be my scalp adjusting to the mint and rosemary. Because eventually the burning stopped. I struggled mostly with the nape of my hair from ponytails, so that is where I focused on applying the oil. Over the next few days into week, I noticed the nape of my hair thinning tremendously! It has eventually turned into an enlarged baldness area. I also broke out with very painful rash like dry patches along my neck. I am furious!!!! But more so embarrassed and extremely sadden at the damage it has caused. Since this has been the only change to the products I have been using on the last 5 years of being natural. Hoping it can be treated and restored. I also googled this product and see many other costumers have shared very similar experiences of a burning sensation and hair loss. I started experiencing hair loss in 2020 and trust me, I tried EVERYTHING. This rosemary line, especially this scalp oil, and pumpkin seed oil supplements are what saved my hair and now it’s as thick and healthy as when I was a teenager. I don’t find this oil too heavy, and as long as I’m careful with it I can use it without getting my hair super oily. The night before a hair wash I will put extra on, work it into the scalp, and sleep with a cap on to let it all soak in. I used to deal with dry scalp and this totally fixed that issue as well. It’s super hydrating, and feels stimulating and refreshing. I used to use minoxidil but I hated that as soon as I stopped using it for one day the hair would just fall out again! Plus it made my scalp itchy. This is a drug free option that actually works. The shampoo and hair mask from this line are also excellent.Jo

I received this product complimentary from Bumble and bumble. This is such a wonderful oil that is perfect for my long, wavy and frizzy hair. I spray a small amount onto my damp or dry hair and work it with my fingers into my hair. It has such nice clear smooth texture and a beautiful clean scent. It absorbs quickly into my hair without weighing my hair down. I then style my hair. After just one use my frizzy hair that is prone to damage, split ends and breakage looked so much better. It makes my hair feel silky soft and it does not leave any buildup or a greasy feeling. My hair is easy to style and has such a beautiful shine and looks healthy. It really tames my frizz. I love this hair oil! I have extremely bleached and colored hair, so hair oil is my everyday essential. I have been using one of the big brands for years and never met any oil that can replace it until I found this Bb Invisible Oil. I like that its plumped design so it's easy to use without making a mess. The scent is light coconut. After applying to my damp hair, it's not greasy at all and absorbs fast, and layers very well just with a few drops. My hair instantly feels hydrated, soft, and smooth. I definitely feel that it has strong heat protection and that my hair remains hydrated after drying.Ali

I love this product, it's the only hair oil I have used that doesn't make my hair look greasy, it's really lightweight and I love the smell. My first bottle has lasted me over a year as a little goes a long way (I only use on wet hair, usually every other day), so although it's not cheap I think the price is good considering how often I'll be replacing it! I do think it reduces frizz, it doesn't 100% get rid of it for me, but it's definitely better with this oil rather than without and it gives my hair a healthy shine. My only criticism is that I wish there was a lid, when I travel with it I have to put it in a sandwich bag as I have previously left it loose in my wash bag only to have everything covered in oil as the pump has accidentally been pushed down whilst in the bag. I just ordered a new bottle and some has even leaked into the package it came in, not a lot, but this would be completely solved if it had a lid. I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! Previously, I was using the original Moroccaoil Treatment Hair Oil and was loving that, but decided to give the light version a go since it is labeled specificlsly for thin / fine hair. And wow, I am so glad I did! The first day I used it, I noticed my hair looking visibly nicer! It softens, smooths, hydrates, and helps to smooth frizz. My hair was so soft and looked so shiny. It did not weigh my hair down at all, like a lot of oils can for thin hair. I’ve noticed less breakage at my ends and my hair looks the healthiest it’s ever been. Also, the smell is so good! I apply the smallest amount (smaller than a dime) and rub it between my hands before massaging it into my hair starting at the middle of my strands and working my way down to my ends. If you have thin hair and wish to incorporate a hair treatment but struggle because most products are too heavy – this is it. Will continue to repurchase again and again.julianna.t

This nourishing hair oil from Sol de Janeiro performs pretty well, and I love that it has the classic scent from their Bum Bum cream! The bottle is beautiful and made of weighted glass, giving it a lux feel. The formula is rich and definitely on the thicker side, but once warming in between my fingers I am able to apply it easily. Just 1-2 pumps is enough to disperse throughout my ends to mid-length without going overboard (I have relatively long hair). I can also confirm that it works to calm frizzies, makes my hair more manageable and gives a nice shine. While it is nourishing to a degree as well, I wish it delivered more moisture into my hair. Adding more doesn’t seem to do much for hydration, while adding too much just makes my hair look greasy and slick as expected. I really enjoy this hair oil, especially the smell! The fragrance is the same as the original fragrance in the rest of the line. The smell is really heavy, but not overwhelming. It does calm down, but you’ll still be able to smell it all day. I have long thick hair with dry ends and rely on oils and and sprays to keep it soft and manageable. Most oils I will use a dime sized portion, but this product comes in a glass bottle with a dispenser that only puts out one drop at a time. The consistency is tick, even sticky, more like a serum than a runny oil. Being so thick, using more than a drop or 2 does leave my hair greasy. It’s well worth the price and I’ll definitely repurchase for the fragrance alone, but it won’t replace my other products that I still need for tangles and frizz. My only real complaint is that a glass bottle and oily hands don’t mix – I’ve dropped it several times and worry it will shatter one of these days. Just be super careful with that and you’ll love it!alexrae

Ok, so I bought this on the app early access day and will give my honest review. I use many different oils as I like to switch up my products every time I wash my hair, including Moroccan oil, olaplex oil, Dae prickly pair oil, ouia oil, gisou and briogeo don’t despair repair hair oil. Compared to all of those, this is by far the thickest oil for sure. I have thick straight hair and a lot of it, so I can get away with a good amount of oil. I am a stay at home mom so I have times where I actually use products to style my hair, and times where I put in more nutrient moisturizing products to just let it sit in a bun. This oil is definitely better distributed on damp hair, on dry hair it’s kind of thick and skips as you run your fingers through but I have to say it smells AMAZING and does have a few unique ingredients which I look for when buying hair care. With that being said this is definitely more of a treatment oil for me that a styling oil and it gives self care vibes with the smell so I give it a 5 star! Would be nice if it was slightly less thick but I’m sure that’s due to the unique ingredients. Sorry for the long review! My favourite product. I continuously repurchase this item. It makes your hair so soft & leaves it feeling nourished. Great to calm down frizz and tame any fly aways. The bottle will last you ages as you only need a little bit. I pump it into my hand, rub my hands together to warm the oil up and apply to the hair. I've used semi de Lino for 15 years and love it. I have naturally curly hair that tends to frizz in the Louisiana humidity and this product is a must to fight it. I put 3-4 squirts in my palm and rub my hands together before shaking them through my hair. I use it on my hair after I have dried and flat ironed it. It leaves my hair shiny and whispy looking. I have been using this hair oil for several years due to its non-sticky nature that I looked for. Other oils were sticky and so my hairs mass looked small. However, after using it regularly for several years, I lost so many hairs and existing hairs became so thin that my scalp was mostly visible. It never happened to me before and I did not expect it to happen after using so expensive hair oil. Also, its oily nature dries in an hour and so hair remain dry for rest of the day. I also had dryness in my scalp along with loss of hair. I have stopped it and started regular hair oils and now the body of my hair have thickened and my scalp is not visible as it was before. It was money spent without any benefits. I do not recommend it at all. Just use regular hair oils that are a available at much less price. I have used this treatment 5 times so far, and plan to continue using because my hair issues are improving. The difference in the way my hair looks and feels were not dramatic after one use, although my hair felt more manageable after one treatment. I have extremely dry, thin hair, but I have a lot of hair so it appears tho be quit thick. I have always used more topical treatments to add texture, and moisturize my hair. I found it interesting that massaging the scalp with the oil would help with these issues. So following the directions starting from the root/scalp I think is important. The recommended small amount distributed through the hair was definitely not enough oil for the amount of hair I have, although the oil does distribute easily through the hair. There are a few recommendations for using. You can apply 30 minutes before shampoo to dry hair (this is the only recommended treatment I have used), apply and wrap your head with a warm moist towel for 15 minutes before shampoo, or apply and leave in over night (preferred). I think I probably need the latter for best results, but the smell is not good for me. I am not sure why the oil has an antiseptic smell. It's not refreshing, however the smell does not linger, and it washes right out. I read the list of ingredients to try and figure out why it has this smell. I think it must be from the natural oil extracts. My hair definitely appears to have more texture, and it is a lot more manageable. It looks less dry, and healthier. Aside from the somewhat unpleasant smell, I am quit happy with the Miracle oil.momof31129

I have dandruff and split ends problem so I purchased this oil. The main thing why I wasn't using any kind of oil was that I go to work everyday and giving oil n leaving overnight used to make my hair oily and with shampoo rinse the oil won't go off. But THIS SHAMPOO IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. It also reduced my drandruff after the 1st application itself. PROS: 1. lightweight 2. Doesn't make our face oily too after application 3. Rinse of easily 4. I noticed less dandruff quickly after using this product. It leaves my scalp feeling healthier, and leads to my hair being healthier, shinier, and more lustrous, even though my hair is often colored. My hair is so soft and more vibrant than ever, and so much less frizzy! I have since gone back to my hair stylist to trim off those dead split-ends. The product from this company says it helps with hair loss too, which is what I suffer from now in my mid-30’s, and although I have not used this long enough to be able to tell whether the anti-hair-loss works, I know for a fact that my head feels a lot healthier – so I am very hopeful about the anti-hair-loss in the long run. The texture and smell may be something to get used to for some. I mean, it’s fragrance-free, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t smell like jojoba oil, or tea tree essential oil, or whatever your nose is sensitive to. If you’ve tried other hair oils, the texture is like that: thickish. WOW company’s hair oil really answers a lot of my hair own issues. All the ingredients listed in this hair oil are all essential oils and botanical extracts that are beneficial to the scalp, hair, and hair roots – and it’s cold-pressed AND all natural ingredients! I’m going to stick with this product for a few months to see how it battles my hair loss. I really can’t wait to find out! Even with rogaine, it takes at least a month to notice any differences. I really like the pump, so I can control how much oil you pump out. I don’t mind those disposable single use ones, nor the disposable multi-use larger ones for weekly treatments, but I prefer this. I have long hair, and my spouse has short hair. We both use different amounts, so once again, I have to say – LOVE the pump. To use this, apply it to your clean scalp (if you wash your hair every day anyways, this won’t be a problem, but if you don’t wash your hair for 2+ days, then it’s better to clean your hair first so that your scalp can absorb the oils better). You really want to focus it all over your scalp and not just your hair. So I apply it into my scalp first by gently massaging it in all over, then I comb it down through my hair to spread the oils down through my hair. If I need more for my hair, I apply sparingly and gently comb it through my hair. I prefer to wrap my hair with a damp/moist towel to sort of heat it for the first 15-20 minutes. Then I take the towel off and just leave it in my hair for another 45 minutes minimum (total of 1 hour minimum or so). Some people do it overnight and it does say it’s preferable to do this in the instructions, but I really don’t like to sleep with it in my hair. Shampoo and conditioner your hair as usual.Joanna

I got this Dae Pricky Hair Oil given to me for free in exchange of my honest review. The pump of the oil is easy to use. Right away when you smell the oil it seems really good. It smells fruity which comes from the sweet prickly pear seed oil. The three main nature ingredients are the sweet fruit smelling sweet prickly pear seed oil, the hair moisturizing meadowfoam seed oil, and the morning leaf extract that is rich in vitamins and antioxidants. I have thin straight to a little wavy nature hair. I tried it both on my dry hair before taking a shower and on my damp hair after I got out of the shower. When I put it on my dry hair I saw a big difference. It helped straighten my hair and made it look shinny in a healthy way not in an oily way. I think if you don’t want to deal with straightening your hair and want it to look straighter this would be a good go to for styling your hair or when your hair is a little dirtier and you don’t want it to show. On my damp hair I didn’t really see a difference but that might be because I used conditioner in the shower and brushed my hair so I already smoothed it out and it was not detangled so if did not need to be detangled which is what it is meant to do on damp hair. If I try it on my damp hair without having used a conditioner or brush my hair before then I think the hair oil would help to detangle my hair. I really like how it looked on my dry hair and for styling purposes. If I wanted my hair to look better on a bad hair day or when my hair was a little dirtier this hair oil would definitely meet my need and I would definitely recommend this hair oil.girlsrule104

This comes in lovely packaging and I appreciate the beauty and aesthetic of the glass bottle on my vanity. As someone with a nose sensitive to hair products, this scent is delicately light, sweet and fresh, enjoyable – perfect for all year round, but especially summer time! The formulation is also incredibly light and doesn’t weigh down my hair, but instead adds a nice shine and makes my hair soft! It is also easy to travel with, but may leak a little, though the oil stays inside the cap. The pump also adds to ease of use. The only reason I didn’t give 5/5 stars is because of this: for $36 and only 1.7 oz, I can’t say that Dae beats my $4 organic coconut oil jar in terms of delivering moisture/hydration, or shine. This oil makes my hair look soft and shiny without weighing it down and reducing volume. I have very long, thick, and dry and brittle hair that is incredibly prone to tangling and breakage. While I love how it makes my hair look, what has really blown me away about this product is how well it has improved manageability. It has significantly reduced tangling and made it so much quicker and easier to brush through my hair and has reduced tugging on my hair during brushing, so I have also seen much less breakage since I have been using this oil. I primarily use this by applying generously to damp hair, focusing on the ends, and working the excess further up in my hair. Occasionally, I also apply a small amount of this oil product to dry hair to tame frizz. Because this product is called a hair oil, I was expecting it to have the consistency of an oil, but I would consider this to have more of a plush serum consistency. As a result, this product is surprisingly lightweight and I find I can apply it very generously without my hair looking oily or weighed down. I love the summery fresh scent of this product, and I find it to be perfectly balanced to my liking- it's strong enough to notice and enjoy it, but I don't find it overpowering or lingering too much.twomonsters

It’s not hard to go overboard with this hair oil if you have thinner hair. I would say my hair is of a medium thickness and two sprays at an arms length distance is more than enough to make my curls shiny. I do two sprays and run my fingers through my hair to evenly spread it out. It’s a thinner type of oil so distributing is easy. I actually love this product. It smells fantastic. I have very coarse, thick, wavy and frizzy hair. I am also white. I am pretty sure Carols daughter was designed for African woman’s hair. I have purchased quite a few of their products and they are fantastic but and very concentrated. For me and As I wrote about how my hair type is, I must be very careful about the amount I use. A little goes a VERY long way. Too much will tend to become a weighed down greasy situation. Would not recommend for anyone with Caucasian fine, thin hair at all. Someone with very thick coarse wavy or curly coarse hair or African would love these products. They are phenomenal. Start with small amounts first. Great brandcolleen.k
