I have been using this product since it came in deodorant stick packaging! I love the scent (it IS my fragrance), the shine, the hold, the definition. It used to be very smooth in the hand, emulsifying very easily before applying. It still smells great, and defines, shines, but it does not emulsify well. After working it in my hands even for half a minute (which is a long time for this product) it results in small uneven chunks that yes, you can see in my hair. if my hair was dark it would be totally unacceptable. I don't know if this is a bad batch or the formula has been changed for the worse. This is my first foray into pomades, and I was braced for something between a hair oil and the crunchy gels of the 80s. I was pleasantly surprised to find Cremo delivered something far better. This pomade is a solid hold, especially when worked through do hair, and it holds for 24 hours, if not longer. I've been able to mist water on my hair and comb it back into place after sleeping for a second day's hold. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is great — nothing to compete with my aftershave and cologne. I have 3a/b curly hair, ringlets with big volume and I thought I'd never be able to wear my hair straight without using a straightener religiously. And with this product alone, I can wear my hair slicked back and mostly straight in a Peaky Blinders cut. That's the kind of hold Cremo delivers, and I'm a convert for life. I recently received this Cremo Thickening Styling Paste #freeproduct from #trywithtopbox to try in exchange for an honest review. This is the first time my fiancé is trying a styling paste, he usually uses hair glue for his hair. He found that the product was easy to use and work into his hair. The texture of the paste is really soft and not at all sticky or tacky. It however does not have as much hold as his usual hair glue. He actually has pretty thick hair to begin with so he couldn't tell if there was a thickening effect. However, he said he really loved the scent of product. Just got this a couple days ago from #sephora couldn’t hardly wait to try it. I used a generous amount, in sections, on my damp hair (right after the shower….wash day) and let my hair air dry half way, then followed the rest by blow drying it with my on low force, but medium heat. Apply to damptowel dried hair for best results and finish using a little more. Scoops out perfectly fine. Breaks downEmulsifies great, however it does leave a sticky residue on your hands. The smell is a bit funky, but definitely not the worst. I would use this in combination with a matte productas a finishing product because the shine can look a bit greasy at times. Do keep in mind it is a low hold product, so I wouldnt recommend if you have medium lengthlong hair or if youre expecting your hair to maintain all day. Okay great product, very hydrating and great that it’s natural, but why does it smell like that? It has this gross playdoh smell. I understand that natural products typically come with a lack of fragrance, but this one was so gross. I have used this product for years. However, this particular pot has a different consistency from previous ones I've purchased. Not as creamy, so not as easy to rub between your fingers, and apply to hair. I am a little disappointed, as not a cheap product. It is usually good value for money, as only need a small amount. This is my first foray into pomades, and I was braced for something between a hair oil and the crunchy gels of the 80s. I was pleasantly surprised to find Cremo delivered something far better. This pomade is a solid hold, especially when worked through do hair, and it holds for 24 hours, if not longer. I've been able to mist water on my hair and comb it back into place after sleeping for a second day's hold. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is great — nothing to compete with my aftershave and cologne. I have 3a/b curly hair, ringlets with big volume and I thought I'd never be able to wear my hair straight without using a straightener religiously. And with this product alone, I can wear my hair slicked back and mostly straight in a Peaky Blinders cut. That's the kind of hold Cremo delivers, and I'm a convert for life. I recently received this Cremo Thickening Styling Paste #freeproduct from #trywithtopbox to try in exchange for an honest review. This is the first time my fiancé is trying a styling paste, he usually uses hair glue for his hair. He found that the product was easy to use and work into his hair. The texture of the paste is really soft and not at all sticky or tacky. It however does not have as much hold as his usual hair glue. He actually has pretty thick hair to begin with so he couldn't tell if there was a thickening effect. However, he said he really loved the scent of product. Most hair styling products he has tried usually smells waxy or has a overwhelming perfumy scent. This one smells like an old fashioned barber shop. My son has tried several other products on his hair and since he found this one he will not use any other. His hair is very short on bottom and longer on top (but not too long). He uses it on the front part of his hair s to keep it standing and it lasts all day even after he goes to the gym it still looks good. It does not look harsh or like plaster..it looks natural.
