20 Best Hair Products At Cvs (Feb 2023 Update)

I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. This has spurred me on to use up my old oils and then I will be buying this for sure….I also noted that other reviews have suggested other products of the same brand to use at the same time. I will therefore spend some time reading other reviews for tips and ideas of others with the same hair typre.Twindy

My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! I do use a diffuser just to hit my roots for volume, but that’s it. I went from unruly frizzy curls, to blownout & straightened, to naturally curly shiny non-frizzy hair. I give all credit to this oil. It is helping me maintain a polished, professional appearance.Jennifer H.

It's been YEARS since my hair was this soft. bought this product because i couldn’t decide between this or the mending infusion. i am a man with short hair and using this definitely styles my hair, but it almost feels like a hair gel rather than a cream. it leaves my hair just a little bit stiff and a tad oily. considering getting the mending infusion but if you don’t mind slightly oily hair this does the trick. side note it smells great. i feel like moroccanoil changed their formula and nothing smells the same anymore, but this has the moroccanoil signature scent.aydenb723

I have had some pretty serious issues over the past few years… after having lost about 60% of my hair due to some health issues… and I have to say that this Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream is AMAZING!!! I went from having VERY healthy, thick and shiny hair to VERY dry and fragile hair, almost over night, a few years back. My hair used to take DAYS to fully dry, when I would clip it up in a twist to dry naturally. Unfortunately, in the past couple of years, the bottom has literally been TOTALLY DRY, upon taking it out from my hair drying turban, only about 15 minutes after washing it… 🙁 The first time that I washed my hair again after having used a tiny bit of this product in my hair 3 days prior, when I took my hair out from my hair drying turban, it was actually STILL WET!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!! My hair is soft and pretty shiny again! 🙂 If this could do this for my hair in this condition, I can't imagine how WONDERFUL it would be for those of you with healthy hair! And, it didn't weigh it down, either! It truly is an AMAZING product!!! THANK GOD my health and hair are on the mend and I am LOOKING VERY FORWARD to continuing to use this product when my hair will finally be restored to the way it used to be. I really really REALLY wanted to love this. Trust me, I even tried it on dry and wet at multiple times throughout the week and let me just say, disappointed in an understatement. To give you better perspective, I have wavy straight hair and I twirl my hair around my finger and usually creates these beautiful waves as my Hair dries. I was searching for the best hydrating styling cream snd decided to give this one s try because I love their hair oil but oh boy big mistake. It smelled NOTHING like their other products. It smells like chemicals and the moment I apply it to myself hair (wet or dry) it gets SO STICKY & STIFF. Once it dries it make your hair so puffy and it worsens when you brush it. Not sure if this is meant for curly hair folks? But it’s s big no for me. Disappointed but it is what it is. Thank god I bought the mini version. I will still be returning though, no point in keeping this or giving it away. I couldn’t do that to someone /: trust me when I say, It’s not worth the hype! Hope this helps anyone.Ori4peace

Okay this is the best stuff ever. I have fine, wavy to curly hair. My hair is EASILY weighed down, and let me tell you, this product delivers. This is NOT an oil. Like how hyaluronic acid or niacinamide supports a moisturizer, this serum supports your conditioners or leave in moisturizers while helping smooth, shine, and protect. Unlike facial serums, this one goes on AFTER the moisturizing products to lock in the goodness. It strengthens your hair and allows for better style retention, as well as influencing your natural texture to take center stage in all its glory! This is a water gel like texture, it’s fast drying, but with no tacky ness or a residual texture of its own. It’s completely absorbed unless you use too much. If you use too much it will pull humidity from the air, making your hair feel like you just were in a sauna for 30 mins until it dries again. Use less than a full pump for medium hair, even less for fine hair. It’s styling benefits are definitely refreshed by scrunching with water! Next day this a huge time saver for me after sleeping on my hair. How I used it: After washing my hair I applied a pea size of number 6 Bond smoother, and BRUSHED it through upside down. I then did HALF a pump of No.9, I tapped over the surface of my hair, and then used the flats of my hands to coat further. I applied a pea size amount to my hands again, then scrunched away. Used a microfiber towel and then air dried! My hair is sooooo soft, air light, shiny, and hydrated. I went to the grocery store and I kid you not, I received multiple compliments for my hair. Usual stylers: Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic; Innersense I Create Hold; Trepadora Bamboo Ginseng Curling Glaze. I'm a student of the @iamblackgirlcurls school of thought and regularly do wash and go's, but was looking for a way to simplify my routine even further by swapping out no. 0 and no. 3 with this. I was excited at first but after playing around with it as a base gel then topper, the cons outweighed the pros for me. Pros: – good slip when applied to soaking wet hair (if use 4-5 pumps for whole head) – gives great shine once dried (if use < 4 pumps for whole head) – crunchy finish that implied longevity – shortens dry time – is applied as part of styling, rather than adding 10 minutes beforehand Cons: – using enough for good slip -> excessive foaming -> persistent, obvious white cast -> hair flaking – breaking gel cast makes hair frizz and feel dehydrated within 2 days, increasing wash frequency per week – flakes risk breaking out my face and back, increasing wash frequency per week – increased wash frequency results in over-manipulation and less length-retention I also watched a review from a salon owner who explained that for treatment purposes no. 3 gives the most bang for your buck, so I'll use up what I have but I'll be going back to no. 3.maninan

I have textured, difficult, wildly frizzy 2b/3a curls/waves. They are not uniform so my hair sticks out in all directions and looks REALLY dry. Half my hair still has bleach damage from when I was platinum blonde. Basically, any hair product really has its work cut out for it! I found this serum to be VERY calming and nourishing, and it made my hair feel silky and soft, which is NOT easy to do. I have medium thickness, medium density hair that's an inch or two past my shoulders, and a full pump was too much – I ended up having to re-wash my hair. You really only need a little, applied to the bottom half of your hair. For me, half a pump distributed between both hands and applied with the praying-hands method was perfect. The product will last you a long time! Anyway, it took on my difficult locks and won! For this reason I wonder if it might be too much for people who have fine, healthy hair that's straight or only slightly wavy. I definitely feel that this product is, for those with wild hair, the equivalent of bringing out the big guns!LadyMuck

If i could rate this OVER a 5 , i absolutely would do that because this leave in conditioner is the best ive ever used …by far!! My 11 year old daughter and myself love using this for our very long hair because it makes our hair feel and look amazing , shiny and so healthy! And not just that, it smells wonderful as well. I cant imagine a world without 'Its a 10' leave in conditioner LOL!! You will never see my bathroom without this leave in conditioner spray on the shelves because i make sure we never run out of it, and go and order more before that can occur because i dont want to ever go back to a day when my hair was without Its a 10! This is a salon hair product basically as it was first sold in salons exclusively if i am not mistaken…and then later on it started being sold in drug stores , grocery stores, walmarts etc…However, it does still cost what salon exclusive products do for the most part. This might turn folks who have never tried Its A 10 products away from purchasing them. They are higher priced than most other drug store hair care items however, i can say with absolute certainty that the leave in conditioner spray i used faithfully is 100% worth every penny. It is very high quality and is golden in terms of hair care for sure!! When i first purchased the leave in conditioner spray, because i didnt know if i was going to like it enough to ourchase the fulll size product so i noticed there was smaller travel sized option for a lot less money obviously. So i purchased that initially to see if i approved of it for my hair specifically. That being said, i definitely recommend this leave in conditioning spray. It is a very necessary part of my own hair care routine and i highly recommend this quality product . You will love it!!!kara.f

I have natural 4A hair and I use this when I flat iron my hair. The packaging is very hard to spray. What I have done is I take one of those continuous mist spray bottles and dilute this product with water (maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the product and the rest water). This way, I don't put too much in before I apply a little Blow dry cream. This product makes my hair look super silky and flows after flat ironing. I know this is the result from this leave-in because my hair doesn't feel as silky and light if I don't use it. I really don't like the sprayer and the bottle is hard to hold. I shouldn't have to put the product in another bottle to use it. They really need to change the packaging. I also use it straight from the bottle and pour it in my hands when I wear it curly. I also wish they made a bigger size. Fix this please and keep the product the same!!!Choco1

I checked to see if Target carried this on their app before going to pick it up off the shelf in-store. I also checked the ingredient list in the app photo, because I haven't used It's a 10 in several years, but when I did I loved the way it detangled my long, fine hair, moisturized, and made my hair feel super soft. I found this on the shelf and assumed it was what Target said was the product–the barcode SKU numbers are even the same. When I went to use it, it seemed to not detangle the same as I remembered, but smelled like the It's a 10 I had used before. But when my hair dried, it was frizzy and felt like it was coated in something, like a waxy feeling. It looked awful, too. I tried blow-drying it with my hairdryer that usually leaves my hair silky smooth, but it was dry-looking, felt dry and waxy, and started tangling again. I washed my hair the next day, tried it again, same issue. Looked on the back of the bottle, and all the "key ingredients" are listed almost towards the end of the ingredient list, which means there is less of a concentration of them in the product. I checked the online/Target app photo, and realized the product lists were different, even though my Target profile registers I bought this product in-store. I'm returning it and will purchase elsewhere, after checking the labeling.arh

After hearing RAVE reviews about this product, I finally took the leap and purchased a small travel sized version in the hopes that it would be the answer to my miserably limp, fine hair. Although I was wowed when I first applied it, as the day wore on, I was pretty disappointed. PROS: Smells great! I'm not as enraptured as other people seem to be with Oribe's signature scent (to me it smells like nice salon shampoo, nothing much more?), but it does feel luxurious and clean when you spray it in compared to regular high street brands which can be a bit headachey and chemical smelling. I tried it both in my roots and all over layer by layer) to see how it held up, and honestly – it looks pretty. It gives you a nice, messy, undone kind of look that is effortlessly 'rolled out of bed' voluminous and wavy. I compared one half of my head to the other when using it, and there was a definite increase in volume and it looked pretty glamorous! CONS: You cannot. Touch. Your hair. AT ALL! Once I ran my fingers through it to fluff it up a bit more, the volume seemed to collapse and disappear ENTIRELY. It was super bizarre – even my boyfriend (who watched me spray it in and subjected to my 'are you SURE it's different? Different in what way? Is it nice big? Do you like it?') was surprised at how quickly it reversed back to my normal flat hair. I ended up spraying the whole thing again to try and get it back to being voluminous – very wasteful and I only have very fine medium length hair! Also – it leaves your hair feeling ROUGH and DRY AS HELL. I bundled it up that evening and when I woke up to brush my hair out, I was shocked at how horrible and rough my hair had become! I was really not impressed at all by that point – I have used drugstore products that have left my hair feeling much better and produce reasonable volume. Really outrageous in that respect given how much Oribe charges for this. Overall, I think this is a great product if you're the kind of person who can leave their hair alone once it's all done up – otherwise, any touching will make the hair collapse again. I feel like maybe this would work well with a mousse of some kind and a shine serum (Oribe has a great one in a blue tube!). However, this is a luxury product, and I should not have to purchase and invest more products just to make this work. However, I have friends and relatives who adore this stuff and swear by it. I'd still recommend it if you're already quite good at styling hair and you have lots of hair products already in your routine. But for me, it's going back to the store in a returns box!mun

I highly recommend all Oribe products especially this amazing texturizing spray it adds life back to hair especially day after washing it. I first used this 10 years ago for my wedding my hair stylist used this to create my beautiful wedding hair. I’ve been addicted ever since. I have fine hair that completely transforms with this spray. It’a volume and body that you didn’t even know your hair was capable of. I received the ORIBE dry texturizing spray free for testing purposes from Influenster and Oribe. I have long fine hair that gets extremely oily within hours after washing my hair. I have been trying to not wash my hair often and it looks absolutely gross after a couple of days. I have tried dry shampoo in the past but I hated how it made my hair feel heavy and I especially couldn’t stand the white powder that got every where onto my clothes. The ORIBE dry texturizing spray is an amazing alternative to those like me who despise the effects of dry shampoo. The spray is easy to use and the product comes out in a continuous fine mist/heavy burst. The spray has a luxurious pleasant clean perfume scent (floral/citrus) that is long lasting. I like to use the spray after the shower once my hair has fully air dried. I use the spray to slightly style my hair by combing it through and tossing my hair around to create volume. The spray is extremely light weight and it doesn’t have a crunchy strong gel like hold. A little goes a long way! I don’t think it’s intended for that anyway. What is most impressive is that the next day my hair felt like it had even more texture and volume. It made my hair feel fuller and richer. The spray is a miracle worker that works wonders over time. Ever since I included this in my routine, that has changed. I section my hair into two and apply a pea sized amount in each section avoiding the scalp and comb/brush each section to make sure the product spreads evenly. This product also helps with detangling. Degangle with fingers before your comb if you have long hair like me. Whoever is confused about this product isn't using it right..you're either using too much or it's not spreading well in your hair. After application, my hair no longer feels limp. They just feel healthy. If you feel the need to add more shine after this you can use the number 7 olaplex oil, just a drop after this. This routine is everything. Use the amount of product as asked by professionals and you will not find it as pricey either.addie

The product is way too rich for hair extensions and it has completely dried them out! I had a lovely 20 inch, double drawn balayage hair extensions fitted in April 2022 and bought this kit in May.l (then repurchased when I was out). By September I have left 18 inch and dry as the Sahara. If you have hair extension please stay away! I’m not even close to the 12 month mark with my extensions and I’ll need to get new ones because my hair looks terrible. All that money down the drain, no pun intended. In the past I used just a normal cheap ish shampoo recommended by my extensions girl and I still have the old extensions, that I took out just after the 12 month mark & they’re in perfect condition. The morale of my review: just because something is more expensive, hyped & advertised in fancy magazines, doesn’t mean it’s actually good for you.Yoanna

I have been looking for 5 years now for a replacement for my HG hairspray Redken Pure Force 16 since they discontinued it. I had high hopes for this one because it was Non-Aerosol which I prefer and was suppose to hold well. I will say the hold was ok. But I had 2 problems with it this hairspray. First, the smell. Super Strong and smell lasted all day. Not chemical smelled almost herbal. And second it went on very wet and took a long time to dry down. So for a person like me with short, fine hair it just weighed my hair down. In addition, when I purchase it in the store I noticed that on one of the bottles the pump was broken. And on the other the pump would not go down. So I'm thinking there may be a problem with the pump mechanism as well on this hairspray. But for me this was a no go so I have to Return it.CYC

I was recently searching for a new hairspray to replace one that I loved that was discontinued. After much trial, error, and expense, I discovered Kenra 25 in aerosol form. I have always used a pump, so the aerosol took some getting used to, but this was absolutely the best hair spray I have ever used. I was at Ulta one day and I walked by the Kenra display to see if the brand was on sale when I spotted the non-aerosol form of Kenra 25 in a pump bottle. I had no idea this existed! There was only one bottle, so I quickly grabbed it and checked out. When I got home, I wanted to test it out and, unfortunately, it wouldn't pump. I know this is a concern with the aerosol and I learned that if you store it upside down, it keeps the nozzle from clogging. I turned the bottle upside down, gave it a few pumps, and it worked. It sprayed out a little thick at first and I've learned that a little goes a long way. The non-aerosol has more staying power that the aerosol and I feel like I have a few more seconds to style before it dries. This has SERIOUS staying power, so if you like extreme hold, this is it! This would be perfect to use for a major event such as a wedding or prom when you want your style to last. I am really happy I discovered this non-aerosol Kenra 25 and highly recommend!Rocksteadygirl

I have used this product for many years. It holds without being stiff or sticky. I have short platinum hair and I can sculpture my hair easily and it holds its shape all day. My hair shines and looks very natural. This last can that I purchased smells like burnt rubber. I have communicated this to Kenra but they don't s to m to care. I am now working with my salon to find another product that gives me the same results.Golpher

I have long, straight, black, glassy hair. My partner, however, has bleached, frizzy hair (naturally light brown hair to platinum. ALSO, since he is super impatient he doesn't let me bleach his hair *properly* so it ends up damaging his hair like crazy. He also hates upkeep that takes longer than 5 minutes lol) Enter DREAM COAT. It has a special polymer (fancy word for plastic) and that's why it's heat-activated. If you let your hair air-dry and use it before heat-styling, you'll still see a fantastic difference, but it truly makes the most difference when you use it as directed. I won't say the air drying is useless, for sure. So this is his hair BEFORE, with partial air drying, then AFTER spraying and using a flat iron. It looks and feels AMAZING. I usually follow up with the Mist-Ical Shine Spray (also an AMAZING product) but this time I didn't and it STILL looks and feels so soft! The ONLY reason I put 4 stars is becahse the price. It's a teeeeeny bit ridiculous, but obviously worth it or else I wouldn't keep buying it. Hair Chemist has a dupe at Sally Beauty that is almost HALF the price (and 2 more oz) However, its scent is heavier and it is ever-so-slightly not as good in performance, but a great buy if you can't come to terms spending $30 a month on this stuff. Dream Coat's scent is very mild, like a mix of water and chamomile tea. Hair Chemist smells nice, but most definitely a stronger scent. I would show you MY hair, but my partner's transformation is way, way more drastic, clearly. It completely changes his hair. Also, it says it lasts through 3 shampoos? I don't trust that lol. AND try not to use extra products or a conditioner that leaves a film, otherwise the color wow will just slip off. P.s. Even in KY summer weather after the rain (which is like walking into a SAUNA) his hair refuses to frizz! THAT is amazing.alli.b

Let me start by saying this is a great product however there is a but… When worked into wet hair & then activated by heat, which in my case is normally a hair dry with my dyson air wrap & closely followed by either the curling tool on the air wrap or my GHD straighteners depending on the days hair goals. The product really brings my hair to life… for the day, max two days. It does leave my hair less frizzy (my GHD’s do that too mind you!) & the shine it gives my hair is stunning, I’ve had many compliments however I am one of those lucky humans who only normally needs to wash their hair once a week. This product does however make my hair appear increasingly greasy. Sometimes I can get away with using it & not washing my hair until day three after use but I often find that by the night of day two my hair looks greasy. Perhaps I am over doing it? I am not sure. I have tried using more, tried using less but it always seems the same. So I think it’s one of those products I will whip out on the day of an important event to make my hair pop but not one I will use religiously because well I’m lazy when it comes to my hair & unless my scalp psoriasis is having a flare up I do not wish to be washing my hair every other day. Even if the shine almost…almost makes it worth it. So for that reason I have given three stars. If I didn’t have the grease issue then it would be five stars hands down. Also let me clarify it makes my hair look greasy but it doesn’t feel greasy actually it feels sleek & smooth. That’s the sad part.Chynna

I bought the small size of this to try first as I saw mixed reviews on it online. I have long, fine, non-colour treated hair, and this product worked AMAZING for me. I didn’t get a “glassy” look, but it definitely increased shine for me after 1 application. It reduces frizz SIGNIFICANTLY, and I washed my hair for the first time since adding it and it definitely still has an effect (so it worked well for first application and after my first wash after using it, so far). I am curious to see if it will actually last a full 3-4 washes. I am 40 years old and currently trying to heal my hair from damage from wearing it up all the time (ponytail, buns, messy buns, alllllll the time). This product DEFINTIELY makes it easier to wear my hair down more often because it looks great, my hair is texturally beautiful, and I don’t get the hair static to my neck that I hate, or my hair looking stringy and gross. It just does a beautiful job and does exactly what it says. I will definitely be upgrading to the big bottle when my little one runs out!! When this product was in the pink packaging I loved it. The new formula is awful! The old product was named Satin Dream Leave-In Cream. And it was just that, it left you hair soft, shiny and frizz free. The new formula and name of Satin Dream Smoothing Leave-In Cream shoul be called Satin Dream Greasy Dry Frizzy Leave-In Cream. There is like a half pump difference between dry frizzy results and now my hair is so greasy looking I have to rewash my hair. Bring back the old formula! I have multiple allergies and it is extremely difficult to find a product that works at a great price point that meets all my allergen needs. All though the price is still great and I am able to use it with my allergies, it's not worth it because it simply doesn't work.Megan Kelsey

The Satin Dream Smoothing Leave-in Cream by Eva NYC that I received for free was awesome. This product arrived just in time because I was planning on washing my hair soon. After my regular wash and deep conditioning, I went ahead and gently towel-dried my hair. I next sprayed in my leave-in conditioner/detangler as usual. I also normally apply another leave in cream too. However, my next step after dividing my hair into six sections (three on either side of my head, to allow for easier blow drying) I applied some of the Satin Dream Smoothing Leave-in Cream. Then went to work blow drying. I have got to say; applying the Satin Dream Smoothing Leave-in Cream did help to make my hair much smoother than it normally comes out. Also, when I went to use my heated brush afterwards (I personally prefer my hair to be straight because I don't want my natural waves to show up) the results were phenomenal. Chefs kiss! The only drawback was that I had a difficult time getting the pump to work.Undisclosed

I used to buy the Satin Dream Leave-in Creme before they changed it; it was amazing. The new formula leaves my hair sticky and dirty feeling. The old formula was so much better! I'll be searching for a new product; this one is awful. It weighs my hair down but dries parts of it out and makes it poofy and makes my hair look terrible. I don't like the new ingredients and hate coconut and shea butter on my hair. This is a downgraded formula.Avalon

L’Oreal Paris Advance Hairstyle Humidity Resistant Lock It Bold Control Hair Spray is my favorite. If you hold it a foot or so away when spraying your hair it is not sticky or stiff while holding your hair in place. It also smells great too.Mary

After my original brand was discontinued I tried around 9 different brands all promising strong hold and/or volume but NONE of them worked..I was soooo frustrated. I tried high end hairsprays and drugstore brands nothing else worked… I am someone who likes to style my hair once and have it last and hold for the whole day regardless of the weather(wind, rain, humidity). I have medium to long fine colored hair that I like to add volume by teasing on the crown and style my bangs to whisp out of my face and stay put, this product provides EVERYTHING I was looking for! My hair looks shiny, smooth, clean and fresh so I dont care how it feels slightly crunchy to allow for the amazing hold! Great product! I have thick, coarse, frizzy, somewhat wavy hair. I shower at night let it air dry. When i wake up in the morning my hair is so frizzy. Even when I’m in a hurry just want to pull it back into a ponytail I still have to get the straightener out to smooth over my rots at my part along my face. If i apply a generous amount of this to my hair after showering while it’s wet then when i wake in the morning my roots/fly-aways are smooth don’t need straightened. It doesn’t really straighten my hair any, but does tame down some of my frizz to make my waves look better!amber.e

I got this stuff to achieve a smooth sleek look with my Revlon one-step hair dryer brush, and OMG it works amazing! My hair is so soft and smooth after using this stuff, there is no going back. This is great stuff for smoothing, frizz-control, shine, & over-all healthy-looking silver hair. BUT, I only use about half the size of a dime for my chin-length hair. Always start w/less. You can always add more! Rub it between your hands, then apply to dry hair as the last step before hairspray.The only other thing is, the smell is kind of old-school 1970's/80's. I use to dye it, but when I was 36 years of age. I decided to stop dying my hair, It was the best thing I could have done. Shortly after, I discovered "VO5 for Grey Hair". I had been using regular VO5 for years. I really liked that. So I was hoping VO5 for grey would be just as good. I use to have a hard time finding a store that sold it. I received this in one of my recent boxes and was excited to give it a try, mainly because I have been trying a lot of different curl remedies and find many of them to be too greasy, have too much perfume, or leaves my hair feeling sticky. I used this as suggested and sectioned my hair and applied it from root to end and let me hair air dry. My curls feel soft (not crunchy), not greasy and not sticky either. Overall, I this may be my favorite curl activator I have used to date. My curls didn’t shrink up past my shoulders and they weren’t full of greasy residue. My curls did feel heavier but not overwhelmingly heavy and they didn’t shrink as much as they usually do. I think depending on your hair type this could be too heavy for finer hair or finer curls. I plan to continue using this for a while! It honestly smells really great!tierra.w

This product gives me all kinds of life honey 🍯. Never have i ever had this much curl definition without shrinkage. I am really surprised! I noticed when putting it on that it did something to make my hair lay down. I was concerned that there would be no hold and that I would wake up the next day and my hair would be smashed and messed up. To my surprise 3 days later my hair was still moisturized and defined at least in the front. I am an extremely heavy sleeper on the back of my head and having the back of my hair smashed gave me the opportunity to try the product on 2nd day hair. Needless to say it lived up to the hype. After applying only a little bit of water those curls were once again popping. I would not suggest refreshing without adding some moisture to the hair it cause the hair to be sticky.lashonda.p

This stuff to the magic ! Just be sure to not apply on your scalp ! As it might be very irritating on your head skin. Apply to the hair avoiding roots too. I have bleached hair and this water made them soft and silky. All you need to do is to fallow the instructions and do not leave it on your hair for too long because it has alcohol denat and myristyl alcohol also isopropyl alcohol and this all ingredients can make your hair really dry ! Rinse properly after 8 seconds and all will be fine. It has a very noticeable smell which is not my favorite. The product is the consistency of water. I like that it has a doses measured out on the bottle. I like this product and will purchase again.agnieszka.r

Repaired about as much damage as I think it is possible remembering that your hair is already dead cells and to an extent a lost cause after a certain amount of damage. My hair is usually in very good condition I'm very careful with it and just started dying it a couple of years ago and I use mainly vegan one part conditioning dye after doing the roots with L'Oreal's permanent dye every few months. My hair was in great condition until I had to do some really aggressive treatments because of a mite scare at my kids school. literally destroyed the front of my hair which is where I process it the most. Had to cut off 6 in and still looked crazy like literally standing on end unbrushable dry just a mess. So the combination of this, the elvive damage repair shampoo and conditioner, ogx argon and coconut oils and literally probably gallons of natural coconut oil and castor oil brought it back to manageable combable and styleable after cutting off 6-8in and leaving about the same. For someone on a budget this is as good as you're going to get, I really thought my hair was past saving at all and I normally have very nice hair that I get complimented on everyday. This brought back some compliments surprisingly and I actually feel like I can leave the house without having my hair up again. That being said there are probably some way more expensive products and salon treatments that may be more effective, but they can't be faster or more wallet friendly, that's impossible. I would use this even if you have those treatments as long as they're compatible.Elena

The first time I tried this it was based on a recommendation from my daughter. I had never even heard of this brand before. The curl conditioner and the curl shampoo are nothing less than miraculous. I am in love with both of these products. I went to visit my mom recently. I was pulling my teardrop camper so I just wanted travel sizes. I thought I could make do for a week using some other products I had in travel sizes. No. No. No. I ended up going out and buying new bottles because I couldn’t stand to be without them.carla.b

So I was very hesitant to try this shampoo because of some of the reviews but now I regret not trying it sooner. Some of the complaints are that it doesn’t get your hair clean and i feel like that may be true if you’ve only ever used shampoos with silicones and switch to this. You have to use the clarifying shampoo first if you have never used silicone free before otherwise the moisture won’t get to your hair because of the silicone still left on your hair strands. This shampoo makes my hair so soft and has such a luxurious lather. I didn’t think I would like the nozzle but the shampoo is a thinner consistency so it comes out easily and deposits right on the scalp. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail shampoo. My hair is no longer frizzy and my curls are defined. You have to try it!paigespink

The one good thing about this shampoo is the packaging. The product goes directly onto the scalp with the perfectly sized nozzle. That's it though. The shampoo smells like men's deodorant. The smell doesn't fade, either. The shampoo doesn't rinse clean. My hands and hair felt oily and heavily conditioned just from the shampoo. It left a film on my hair that seemed to make it fall straight down. All of my waves and curls hung limply, with no definition, lots of frizz, and just awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHAMPOO. *I'm going to review the conditioner and weightless shine jelly separately, but they are awful as well. Why does every single thing smell like Axe body spray? It’s a great product for the hair style I wear which is the bedhead style. My hair is very fine, this product keeps in in place without heaviness, oil ness or stickiness. Which is the problem with other products. Another plus is it’s unscented and can be reactivated for shaping with a little water. It’s a fabulous product, I love it!Mike

I had a really hard time finding this hair putty in stores and was only able to find it here and was thrilled about it and the price too!! This is the only hair product my son uses on his hair. It keeps his hair in place. Easy to apply. Small amount in the palm of the hands, rub together then distribute throughout the hair. Wash hands and comb or brush in place. Keeps you looking sharp and detailed. No flaking, no residue left behind and no annoying scent either. I read several of the reviews after I tried this and this appears to have worked for some thick hair people, but I saw other fine hair people stating that it turned their hair brittle and dry, which is the experience I had. I thought it was a different product I got on the same day that damaged my hair, so I used this a second time and my hair felt as if half of it had disappeared, it felt thin and lost all volume. The mids and ends were uncomfortably dry, split and brittle afterward. I’m trying desperately to repair the severe damage this product caused with oils and Olaplex, but it will take time. My hair is pink and it’s having a hard time holding color now. This product needs to have a warning that it’s unsuitable and dangerous for some hair types. If your hair is fine please save yourself the hair trauma and don’t risk trying this product!megan.w

When a product doesn't work, I wait til the last minute to review because I give it multiple chances. The only thing this product said that was true is that you would feel heat. My hair didn't get shiner or glass like, in fact it got a little frizzy. Directions are simple as is application. However for the amount you have to use makes the size of the product laughable especially if you have to repeat. You'd have to purchase the product weekly. That would be expensive. And what exactly is in this that makes your scalp heat up? While it's not going to burn you, it's an ugly reminder that it's just chemicals. Chemicals that don't do the job. They claim its biodegradable and 98% natural. i'm not a chemist. But the heat reminds me of bleach or processing and that is chemical. 11/10!! I love this product!! I have dark hair so it makes it look extra shiny after I wash it! Plus, it makes it smell super good too. I was nervous that this product was going to end up drying out my hair, but it doesn’t at all!! After I use it, I just condition as normal, and my hair feels sleek and smooth for days after I wash. I always just let my hair air dry, but I’m sure with a little product or oil and a blow dry, it would make your hair look even more shiny!! Another thing I like about this product is that a little goes a long way. My hair is down to my waste, so typically when using hair products, I need a lot to reach the desired effect. The bottle for this product has “doses” on it so you know how much to use, and really I only need to use like 1 1/2 doses per wash. Though I do only wash my hair like twice a week, I have had this bottle for about a month now, and I still have about half the bottle left. I have already recommended this to all my friends, and I think everyone should check it out. I will definitely be buying another bottle once I run out. I’m glad this product is not only worth it, but affordable as well.hannah.p

First time using got2b hair spray and I am quite happy with it! First, the ingredients seem to be better for your hair. If you regularly use hair products, you know it can really dry out and even damage your hair. When applied, its really light and your hair has a texture to it, which I am guessing thats where the texturing of this product comes in. It also has a really nice, light scent to it. As far as holding hair in place, it did well for all my crazy short hair that keeps falling out of my high bun. Afterwards, it was still pretty easy to brush through my hair without having the sticky feeling some sprays leave behind. I have a long straight hair that doesnt hold curls very well. When I saw That this product was released I was extremely excited. Not only is it extremely affordable, it doesnt have residue or stickiness. It does smell nice however I wish that they would refrain from using fragrance in their products but since it is formulated without parabens or sulfates I guess I will call that a small win. After doing a light curl throughout my hair I sprayed this in afterwards to hold the loose curls and give my finishing look a beachy wave. I absolutely love this salt spray! The smell is amazing and reminds me of the beach. It gives me the perfect textured beach waves without any frizz or greasy looking strands. I use it on my dry hair to add some volume and I use it when I get out of the shower for defining curls with a wonderful scent. It works amazingly and I've never found another product that compares even remotely. My natural hair is curly, kinky, dry, and frizzy that goes down to my lower back for comparison. First of all, I love the packaging. If I was going into a store with no idea on what anti-frizz products to choose, I would be immediately drawn to this range. It’s a fantastic choice in packaging design; very aesthetically pleasing and likely now my favourite hair product packaging. The colours are right up my alley. The usability of the packaging is also fantastic. The squishy tube is super easy to squeeze, making using this with wet/slippery hands no trouble at all. It also ensures the product is completely depleted when finished, either squeezing it out or cutting open the packaging which isn’t easy with hard plastic packaging. This shampoo is lightly fragranced and I quite enjoy the pretty scent which isn’t overpowering at all, and doesn’t seem to linger. I didn’t need to use much to create a large amount of foam which lathered quickly, which is exactly how I prefer shampoos to act. I love the addition of Aloe Vera in products as I find it hydrating and soothing, which this shampoo is. It wasn’t irritating or drying for my scalp and my hair felt decently hydrated and soft afterwards. It’s no substitute for a proper hydrating shampoo though if you have really dry hair (though I did find the matching smoothing crème adds some lovely hydration). The shampoo was also easy to rinse out, which is always a plus, meaning I could move onto the next step in my hair care routine and have more time for other things later. Using this with the conditioner, the amount of frizz in my hair was greatly reduced. I experienced very minimal frizz which is usually unheard of unless I smother it with something which makes me also look greasy and/or weighs it down. Instead, for the extra frizz that appears when in humid environments, or when my hair gets damp from rain or perspiration, I can now use the matching smoothing crème for that unwelcome frizz and look like I’m not using any product. It really is weightless, as well as non-greasy. If you have any amount of frizz and want to reduce it without sacrificing the bounce and lightness of your natural hair, I highly recommend giving this shampoo and the matching conditioner and smoothing crème a try. I have pin straight hair. My daughter on the other hand has the beautiful, bouncy ringlets I have always wanted. Because I'm totally in the dark on how to do/what to use on her hair, it has been a major learning curve to have her hair really be as beautiful as it can be every day. I have purchased MANY products, including some that were way too expensive in trying to learn what her hair needs. It wasn't until I received a sample of John Frieda Dream Curls Conditioner from PinchMe, that I knew I found it! To be fair, I used the sample both with (I went out and purchased it) and without John Freida Dream Curls shampoo. For starters, this conditioner has a nice, silky feel and a rather dense consistency. Because I know her hair needs a thicker conditioner, I was already excited. It has a very wonderful and somewhat strong (but not nauseating) fresh scent that does carry onto the hair well. It works through wet hair very well and makes detangling easy. It rinses out easily from the hair and keeps a good amount of moisture locked in. After showing, her hair was very easy to comb. We are both VERY pleased at the results of this conditioner! (That's why I went out and purchased the shampoo!) It keeps the hair very moisturized, makes it super silky and shiny and gives her gorgeous ringlets incredible definition, body and bounce! He hair feels healthy, smells amazing (which is incredible because she is 11 and has that hormonal head/hair now that needs to be washed daily), and it feels and looks SO HEALTHY! I know everyone's hair is different and what may work for some may not work for others (you can see the evidence of that by looking at all the products in my bathroom), but I feel like this conditioner is great for anyone with big loopy curls, waves, and even straight hair that needs extra moisture! While I did receive John Frieda Dream Curls Conditioner complimentary from PINCHme, my opinions are honest and my own. I don’t have DEEPLY curly hair but I do have a wave to my hair, which is a fine texture. I live in an area that also has a high humidity so it’s so important to have protection against the dreaded frizz! After a hair wash, I applied the cream based conditioner and as my usual process I left it in for a few minutes to really set in and soak into my hair. I really loved the scent, pleasant but not overpowering, just light and relaxing! It left my hair feeling clean and nourished, smooth to the touch with the benefit of keeping the hair detangled. It’s also sulfate and paraben-free, which I find treats my hair well. After letting my hair dry (I generally let it naturally dry unless I need to style it) I felt it really still felt moisturized and healthy, ready to take on styling but to give my hair natural bounce and strength. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone with wave to curly hair to add benefit to those lovely locks of hair!!holly_fl_blkjx
