I bought this because time is short with a 1 year old in the house so trimming is not currently an option. Here’s the lowdown. It’s £9, stinks of rotting flesh. Tried shoulders, hips and feet. Of which the latter two – nothing happened. Shoulders were patchy – not even 1/3 came off. Apparently results only last 5-7. Which begs the question- why bother even if it did work? It’s not often I’m disappointed in something. How do I get a refund? The only think this gets rid of is the £10 I binned in good faith.James1982
Okay, this is probably going to be a little bit of an embarrassing review. I feel that sometimes it's super important to do one of those every now and again. So I went online to look at YouTubers who have tried different hair removal creams. I have very coarse hair on my legs, armpits, and the nether regions. I came across this guy who uses this in his sensitive areas. He said that he also had coarse hair and that normally he gets bad ingrown hairs when he shaves down there. I thought, if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. So I ordered mine online through Amazon and waited for it to come. When it finally came I ripped open the package, read the directions, and prepped myself for pure pain! I've tried nair down below and I thought my who-he was going to completely burn off! First thing I noticed that I liked is that it was a thicker formula so where I put it is where it stayed. Second thing, is the smell isn't their initially but as it starts burning the hair off, it's not the greatest smell. Most creams don't smell good and I'm okay with that. I first tried it for the minimum 3 minutes… That did nothing! Since I'm not a first time hair cream removal person, I knew to try it for a little bit longer and give it another shot. I waited 24 hours so I didn't have any reactions on my skin and the next day I put it on for about 4 minutes 30 seconds. I checked a small portion before fully removing it and I left it on for another 30 seconds. Apparently this is allowed to stay on for 6 minutes total. When I left it on for 5 minutes, It did amazing! I've been using it on all areas that have hair and it's done a great job for me! I always have ingrown hairs and so far, nothing! I'm going to continue to use this for the next couple months and see if I still feel the same way. I'm pretty happy about this, I also decided to try it on the rear end. It did a great job in that area too! Normally I end up having a rash because of the friction of my butt cheeks lol. I have had very short hair for probably 20 years now. There's only so many options you have when your hair decides it doesn't want to grow anymore. As far as I'm concerned, I had two options. I could let it bother me and spend all kinds of money and effort trying to get my hair back in one way or another OR I could go for the military buzz and keep it short. I chose the latter and it's worked out well for me. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, I would have my head buzzed every 10 – 14 days because I like to keep it as short as possible. Even when my hair is long (14 – 28 days without being buzzed), it's not very long at all. It's manageable and able to be easily buzzed. I have a friend who works for SportClips and before the world shut down, I would give her my business every two weeks. She would keep my head buzzed and I would contribute to her career but since that option is currently unavailable, I decided ManGroomer might be a great alternative for me. I thought of ManGroomer because I purchased "THE BACKGROOMER™" awhile back and it works just fine. Unlike the Backgroomer, my experience with the ULTIMATE PRO Self-Haircut Kit was not a good one. The clipper did not cut properly. I used several of the guards, I tried cutting without a guard and I even tried plugging in as opposed to cutting on the battery power thinking I would get more power, but the results were the same in each attempt – painful and ineffective. The clippers pulled my hair as opposed to cutting in all of my attempts. Thankfully, I have a proper set of Wahl brand hair clippers in my closet that I was able to use to shave my head without any issues after the ManGroomer Self-Cutting Kit failed me. The packaging was fantastic. The timeliness of delivery was optimal. When I emailed the company for a return and refund request, they literally returned my email and gave me a refund within minutes. It couldn't have been longer than 10 minutes. I was incredibly impressed by the response. Not only did they issue me a refund but the team encouraged me to try a couple of more times with their product. All aspects other than the actual product itself were flawless on ManGroomer's part. For this reason, I will continue to buy products from ManGroomer because customer service goes a long way with me along with the fact that I bought another one of their products that I've had zero issues with. I'm chalking this up as simply something that didn't work for me. It may work for someone else and despite my negative experience with this particular line of ManGroomer's product, I am not discouraged by the brand and I look forward to using more of their products in the future.J.r. Yes, it works and is a better solution for my back hair than anything else I ever tried (other than having someone else shave my back for me). However, even with the mangroomer, shaving your back is still not the easier thing in the world. I recommend this model over the slightly less expensive one because without the extra foil head I would not have been able to get a close enough shave. Despite being the best product on the market, I'm only giving 4 stars because it appeared to be cheaply made. Used it for the first time today and one of the red lock buttons fell off which wasn't a big deal since I was able to pop it back on, but still shouldn't have happened. Its made in CHINA, so this is expected. If Wahl came out with a similar product made in the America, I would gladly buy it instead even if it was more money.Kevin
I have purchased 2 Mangroomers and after the first I was convinced I was a lifetime customer until this last purchase. The blades no longer cut through my back hair and seem to not be made as quality as they used to be. My first model didn't have a problem going through my forest of hair but now even with the power boost all it does is tug and rip hair out. The overall quality just seems to be downgraded after making such a quality product and gaining good reviews and supporters. I'm highly disappointed that such a good product can't even do the one thing it claims to do, man groom. It's well designed, good grip with rubberized handle. It's rechargeable cordless design is great and it works great. I am not new to using a small clipper. I so I think I know what I am talking about. I was shocked how cheep it felt in my hand. Seems like it has no real strength to it. I truly wonder how long it will last. Be sure to never drop it, or it will be gone. It did trim the hair off my back, but then my back hair is very fine. And I did manage to scrap myself up a bit too. Another thing I was shocked about, when it's is on charge, it wont run. So when the batteries die you cant just plug it in and keep using it. And you cant take it apart to put in new ones. But that do tell you how to take out the circuit board with the batteries on it to toss it out. For what I paid for it I thought it would be much better. So I will use it till it goes and then get the cheaper one. All it really is, is the edge trimmer on an electric shaver on a stick. I bought one of these a while ago and it was excellent. Rechargeable and solidly built. And it made short work of my hairy back making me no longer looking like I had escaped from the zoo. Alas it got blunt over the years and on seeing the price of the replacement blades it made good sense to order a brand new replacement. I thought I was buying the same again but this new Mangroomer is a pale imitation. Made by the same company and costing the same it's a far inferior product. It's much lighter and has no real weight to it making it harder to use. The weaker joints mean that it won't stay in position plus it is now battery operated not rechargeable. Maybe I had a bad bottle, but the straw inside (which pumps up the product) went less than half way down the bottle. I didn't notice this until the pump stopped working when the bottle was still over half full. I could tell from the shape of the straw at the end that it hadn't snapped so it was put in like that. now very very messy to get any product out so I just gave up and threw it away. It's a bit messy. BUT I have thick leg hair. Like thick. When I do soft or hard wax. I have to go over 2-3x times for all my hair to remove. But with this was it was just one swipe. Like twice that happen 2 times. I was so impressed. I did let it sit in hot water for a bit. But this is amazing!! Once you really know how to use it. I have shaved, waxed and epililiated for many years. However I had never used Nads. On a whim I tried on my legs, bikini line and armpits. I have thick, dense, dark hair with fast regrowth. The biggest shock to me was how comfortable this is to use! The gel is not like wax that rips hair and skin, instead it only rips out the hair and is gentle on skin! The cotton strips are washable and reusable, so I can collect more with each purchase to aid in doing larger surface areas (I find once I use a strip to remove hair it doesn't work on the next area, so I have to use a new strip for every section of hair). Also love than any stickiness or mess is easily removed with water. Also a tip: place in a shallow bowl of warm water to help wax spread if the temp is cold in your house and gel is too solid!Jess

It had been decades since I used hair remover product. I decided to try it again. It is advertised as 27% less chemical ingredients than the previous formula. Wow, this stuff is amazing. MUCH different than what I've tried years ago. This is a nice pump bottle and the cream comes out as cream. Not watery or seperated. Came out as cream. Even has a little cap to prevent an unwanted pump. The spong it came with makes so much sense. I sit over the side of my bath tub when using this. You totally don't have to, but I do. So first I apply cream to the yellow softer side of sponge and rub all over my legs. Then after 6 minutes I use the slightly rougher white side of sponge to wipe away. Leaves my legs hairless, smooth and moisturized. There is no chemical smell, no need to vent the bathroom, no headache. Nothing like I remeber. Has a nice light clean violet scent This stuff rocks! I feel confident enough to let my pre tween daughter to use it too.
Upon first look the description on the bottle is very deceiving. It specifically says “in shower hair removal cream”. Reading that you would think you could use 100% in the shower. Because the product is wrapped in plastic to keep the sponge attached you can’t read the instructions until after purchase and opening. The instruction state that you apply before your shower and wait 3 minutes and than shower without a direct stream on product. I do like that it does actually work and the sponge is nice to get the product off of you good. It really does work well and leaves my legs soft. I get horrible razor burn on the inside of my upper legs and bikini line when shaving, so was excited to try this as a shaving alternative. Upon opening the product, I noticed that the smell was not as terrible as other products I have used. You apply the product with a little sponge the size of your palm. You have to make sure the hair you want to remove is completely covered, so just my entire upper legs seemed to take a lot of product. Once you apply, you have to leave it on for 6 – 10 minutes, so make time for this before your shower. Once you get in the shower, you are able to wipe the hair off with the same sponge. I applied this on leg hair that had been shaved 2 days prior, and it seemed to do a really spotty job. I ended up having to shave to catch the hairs that weren’t removed, so I was not super impressed with the end result. Maybe it is made for longer hair? I ordered and received my Bakblade very quickly. At first glance it was packaged very well. The folding handle is a great feature for easy storage. The Bakblade was so simple to use I didn't even need to use the instructions provided. Although I recommend using the instructions as it provides useful tips how to use the product. Within minutes I had a perfectly shaved back. I was surprised how amazingly close the shave was. I'm confident after a few more uses I will cut down the shaving time. For s^%&s and giggles I removed the shaving head from the handle and used it to shave my body just to see how it would hold up. Truly amazing!! Only time will tell how long the blades will actually last. Of course it would depend on how often it is used and how course your hair is. Much like other dudes in these reviews, I NEVER write a review of a product. I give a "star rating" and then bail on the survey. I am mixed- race and have 14ga wire for body hair. Very stubborn hair and rapid regrowth. Like I need to shave 10 minutes after shaving. I have used Nair on my back for 10yrs + and I will stay smooth for all of 24 hrs maybe. This contraption does in 5 minutes what used to be a 15-25 minute process and always some kind of mess. I was worried about shaving dry but read everyone else's review and did ONE pass on my back and was shocked. I cleaned my entire back baby-smooth in 5 minutes. I didn't "have" to shower, I just happened to. Toweled off and put on some lotion and was smooth for 3 days before I felt my usual stubble. So if you have normal body hair, this thing should clean you off for a week. Definitely worth the money. Wish I had discovered this thing years ago. I just bought this off of Amazon and received it yesterday and I have had shaved my back since 2007, nair, razors, ex girlfriends, and even went through 2 different Mangroomers and I have been using Norelco one blade for my chest, stomach and arms. Last time I shaved my back was prior to yesterday with this product was my ex back in 2019. My back was getting itchy and I couldn't stand it. I bought this back on march 27, 2021 received it on the 29th and shaved long hair dry shave. Amazed with zero cuts but I did have some irritation on my sides but other than that. It works for me! I'm medium (olive/tan skin) and I was worried it wouldn't work but so far its not painful for me and I can see a difference in hair. It doesn't do a good job with my thick chin hairs but it's great for upper lip that are finer hairs and for my legs and pits. I purchased this product last summer and began using it immediately. I love that I don't need to purchase gels to use with this, like many other machines, because I'm allergic to the ingredients in the gels. I used this for 5 weeks and really began seeing results mid-summer. I had to discontinue use of this due to pregnancy. However, it's February now, and I can still see the results. I still have a lot of hair growth, because I didn't use it for the full 8 weeks, but all hair that was removed during the summer is still gone. It has not grown back. Please understand that hair grows in cycles. This machine is only supposed to be used once per week for 8 weeks…possibly a little longer. While we may be impatient and want to get faster results, using it more frequently will not yield faster/better results because hair grows in cycles. You can't kill hair growth after you already killed it. You also can't kill hair growth that is not in active growing stage yet. I really started to notice results after 4 weeks of use because I was able to see the thinning of the hair that was growing in. After the 8 weeks of use are done, you may still need to use a round of it from time to time, as we develop new hair follicles every so often. This does not mean that the machine doesn't work. It simply means, your body is producing more hair follicles. This machine promises to get results in the same amount of time as getting your hair professionally removed. Compared to the price of that, this machine is pennies! I too had high hopes for this product after having done lots of research. I too have fair skin and dark hair which should be the ideal combination for success. I followed all manufacturers recommendations for preparation prior to use. I "used up" the flash head that came with the unit and the overall result is absolutely no change in either the amount of hair or it's rate of regrowth. (Reality check…. the flash is used up when it no longer fires…. not after 5000 or however many flashes. That is a scam on an already overpriced item of questionable value) I went so far as to only use the unit on the high setting and was doing two, 10 minute sessions per day. Still no visible results. Great packaging…… convincing sales and video presentation on the ME web site……. but none of those things translate into an effective device. Unfortunately I decided to try this product as it caught my eye and lured me with its fancy packaging and appealing price. I read the directions and proceeded to apply the product as instructed, waited the desired amount of time, which was halfway between the minimum and maximum limits, and used the cute little spatula to scrape off the cream. What came off was not my hair, but rather my beliefs that anything could be less effective than a dull razor, which I had to use because my legs were still covered in a layer of mangled hair and disappointment. Not only did this product fail to remove my hair, but it took almost the whole bottle to even cover my legs with one layer. This product was the biggest waste of my time, effort and money that I have ever encountered, but it all might just be worth it to write this review and warn the thousands, perhaps even millions of unsuspecting consumers that may be inclined to make the same mistake that I did when I decided to buy this terrible product.

I've been using this product for about a year. Before I would use Sally Hansen. It works. It does miss a few spots especially in the upper lip. I do find that the hair growths a little faster compared to Sally Hansen especially in the beginning, however, if you keep using it once a week for a year, the hair growth does slow down. It does not smell as strong as other hair removal creams. There is less time required for the hair removal. The tube is really easy to get the cream out of. I like the moisturizer it comes with. It does not burn my sensitive skin especially if you leave it on an extra 2 minutes compared to Sally Hansen where my face would be super red and inflammed. Make sure to moisturize often, Glee does dry you out a little more. Negatives: The plastic hair removal tool SUCKS! I used it twice could never get it to quite work. Just use a damp cloth, it is much faster and works so much better. You will see actual results with a damp cloth versus the plastic crap. For the price, the tubes are a bit small. You can probably get about 3-4 uses, so it's not the most budget friendly. Mentioned it above, it tends to miss certain areas especially areas you really want to get rid of (for me always the upper lip) and the hair does growth back faster than others so I'd suggest trying it out for a month and seeing how it works for you, but I still recommend.migonz1990
ok so I've only tried this once. Used it on legs and bikini area. Left on the minimum time, as instructed. Hopped in shower. And nothing. Nothing came off!. And the little scraper? Very rough edges-felt as though it was scratching my legs. So i wasnt actually able to use it, but i did use a wash cloth. I will try once more and leave on max time-will update if there are changes. *I really like the thickness of this product. Love that there isn't a harsh smell. So im really hoping 2nd try is a charm* But for now, I'll be using the nair shower since i know it works. Cant risk trying this again and it not working! Thy legs are hairyyyy.Mj

So first I apply cream to the yellow softer side of sponge and rub all over my legs. Then after 6 minutes I use the slightly rougher white side of sponge to wipe away. Leaves my legs hairless, smooth and moisturized. There is no chemical smell, no need to vent the bathroom, no headache. Nothing like I remeber. Has a nice light clean violet scent This stuff rocks! I feel confident enough to let my pre tween daughter to use it too.
Upon first look the description on the bottle is very deceiving. It specifically says “in shower hair removal cream”. Reading that you would think you could use 100% in the shower. Because the product is wrapped in plastic to keep the sponge attached you can’t read the instructions until after purchase and opening. The instruction state that you apply before your shower and wait 3 minutes and than shower without a direct stream on product. I do like that it does actually work and the sponge is nice to get the product off of you good. It really does work well and leaves my legs soft. I get horrible razor burn on the inside of my upper legs and bikini line when shaving, so was excited to try this as a shaving alternative. Upon opening the product, I noticed that the smell was not as terrible as other products I have used. You apply the product with a little sponge the size of your palm. You have to make sure the hair you want to remove is completely covered, so just my entire upper legs seemed to take a lot of product. Once you apply, you have to leave it on for 6 – 10 minutes, so make time for this before your shower. Once you get in the shower, you are able to wipe the hair off with the same sponge. I applied this on leg hair that had been shaved 2 days prior, and it seemed to do a really spotty job. I ended up having to shave to catch the hairs that weren’t removed, so I was not super impressed with the end result. Maybe it is made for longer hair? Not sure what the bad reviews are all about, but I love this product. I have coarse hair and over the years have over-shaved (shaved past where I needed to) and shaved incorrectly, and in the opposite direction. I thought I was doomed to get waxes forever or save up for laser hair removal, but alas! Anyways, I have tried nair several times and immediately after applying felt tingling and burning. Never left it on long enough to see results. It also did not come with a sponge, so it was messy and the smell made my body wreak of rubber until my next shower. Yuck. Nair burned so much I wouldn't dare put it near my bikini area. Veet on the other hand exceeded my expectations. It comes with a sponge making the experience so much easier and tidy. No product is perfect but I'd say 95% of my unwanted body hair is gone (bikini, under arms, legs, stomach). I left it on for 12-13 minutes, and didn't get any type of chemical burn or irritation. I've always been a shaver but I had gotten tired of the razor bumps, prickly little hairs that hurt when they start to grow back, and the dark spots that are left from the razor bumps. This was my first time using an epilator and I see the appeal. The faster speed worked better for my legs. It was indeed painful, but the second time I went back to do it a second time and it hurt a little less, and every time after that much less so. I guess it's similar to doing your eyebrows. My lower legs it did a great job of removing all the hair — but my thighs it was less effective as the hair is much finer. The hair itself isn't that noticeable anyway because of how fine it is so that it missed some isn't a problem for me. Armpits are very painful to do. Bikini line not too bad but some areas hurt more than others. It's easy to hold and is relatively fast to do and ends up with a nice smooth finish that lasts much longer than shaving. Do it on Friday and you're good for the weekend and a few days into the week.LDeimos
This is my first experience with an epilator. It’s small and compact, easy to hold and grip while using and the instructions are easy to understand. I was nervous using it for the first time. It does take some getting used too and there is some minor discomfort. So far I’ve only used it on my legs, but I’m pleased with the results. It does work, and seems to keep my legs free of hair for a longer period of time than shaving. I have experienced a little bit of irritation, but that’s usually gone by the next day. Time consuming. Multiple passes required. 90% efficient, therefore 30 mins later after a body shave 10% hair still missed. Occasionally came across a block of hair that just wouldn't shave after multiple passes at varied angles and I remembered how my battery operated trimmer got most hair on first pass. The angle of motion must be just right to get a clean shave. Suffered rashes after. I gave it 5 stars as the negative experience was perhaps my own and the product shaves as advertised And shaving can cause discomfort to the skin. However the name says Trimmer! I’ve had this for 24 mths and rate this at 3 stars. Why? I am by no means a Sasquatch and it takes 2 mths until another shave is required. My scoring is that the first shave with fresh blades is super, the 2nd shave a couple mths later is now good (not super) and by the 3rd use I’m really having to drag the unit forcefully across the area which results in some cuts and a struggle to shave the actual hair. So it is my opinion that the poor life span of the blades drags the score down to a 3. Although I’ve discussed this with store consultants, use the cleaning spray, maintain and clean the device, essentially it’s dives down in effectiveness in a hurry after the first 2 uses with fresh blades. I won’t be replacing the blades but instead looking for an alternate solution for my next shave.Mars
I have used the BakBlade a couple of times since my purchase. I will only shave wet, as I am not brave enough to do it dry. Anyway, there is just a learning curve for me. The first time I cut myself in a couple of places. That could be I was using a little too much force and just getting used to shaving my back which is awkward because you can't see it. The next time I eased up on the pressure and only had one very small nick. I have recently been practicing on my legs, chest, arms to see if I can find that perfect angle. No nicks doing that so I will try those techniques on my back. Just a thought, a very detailed instructional video discussing pressure to apply, the angle you should hold the BakBlade, and the best method for the different parts of the back would be great. I have always had a lot of excess body and facial hair, have spent decades having IPL at the beautician’s with limited success, and have suffered the rashes and ingrown hairs from shaving and waxing since I was a teenager. I have olive skin which tans easily with dark hair. This is the first product which has actually worked. It’s still early days but I’ve definitely seen a reduction in hair growth. Arms pits nothing after 4 weeks, bikini 70% and legs 50 %. Did my investigations/comparisons and decided to bite the bullet and purchase, luckily had vouchers for Chrimbo that covered a lot of the cost but definitely worth it. Apart from the testimonies, etc, another reason for purchasing was that there was a decent returns window if I found that this was not suitable for me. I had another brands device that was painful to use on the more sensitive parts and the treatment window was small thus was a chore to use, but this one was a absolute dream. Treatment time is so quick and easy, and a quick wipe keeps the Prestige looking like new. The first time I used the device I was surprised at how quickly I managed to do face, underarms, bikini and legs and no sensitivity afterwards either. What can I say, this does exactly what it says it will. Took off ALL the hair and left me silky smooth. Top tip: I would recommend doing a patch test first, leaving it on for the max time (as long as you don't feel any irritation), but then wait a good 48 hours before you delve straight in and do the whole bush and undercarriage. I didn't and regretted it massively. I was on FIRE! My own silly fault though for going over the same area twice in 24 hours and lesson learnt! My only issue with this product is the smoothness doesn't last long enough for me, it's akin to shaving really. But while I was hairless, it was heaven! Plus with salons closed it really is the next best thing. Also I had no uncomfortable itching with regrowth like I have with shaving. So easy to apply, just whack it on, wait up to 6 mins then jump in the shower and wipe it off. I used a face cloth – now dedicated for my nether regions. I have taken one star off because the tube isn't very big. I'm not that hairy, but I think I will struggle to get three applications out of this so for the price its quite expensive, especially as I'd want to use it every 1 to 2 weeks to stay smooth. I popped this on the under carriage, left it , checked it and left it a little longer and washed it off. Yes, it has the usual hair remover smell but it is tempered somewhat by the soothing rose oil. Results are very good, smooth, no pain and good hair removal. Very small amount of stubble where I did not put it thick enough – but will get this next time. Easier and cheaper than waxing. I usually get waxed in a salon but was curious to try this as I can't at the moment and it was the first one I have seen that said it was suitable for a Hollywood style removal. I found it worked well for bikini / Brazilian areas but not so well for Hollywood where it didn't remove much. I was not keen to try reaplying in case of burning though. I do not have particularly sensitive skin and didn't have any major reactions to it but am quite stingy and a little sore afterwards in some places. It feels a bit too risky for me and seems very easy to really mess your skin up if using it regularly. Given these factors I don't think I will bother with it again and will stick to shaving until the salons are open. It has been years since I used a Hair product. I hated the smell and had concerns about chemicals I was applying to my skin. I decided to try again as I have sensitive skin. I went with this particular product so I wouldn't have to use my hands and hoping Aloe in this product would help with any sensitivity that may occur. I tested an area just like the directions said to do and found I needed to apply a little more than 3 minutes but my skin was not irritated. I put the came on while I let it sit a little longer and when I pulled of the cap some of the hair splattered onto my floor. Just to be safe I currently have the cap off so this won't happen again when I use it. I followed the directions again for applying and taking off hair and it worked perfectly. There were some areas that were missed somehow and applied to that area. Glad the smell wasn't too strong. The biggest thing I noticed after use is that my hair very noticeably started to grow back two days after. Just use to seeing it appear a couple of days after I shave. Back in the 1970s I was a teenager and Nair was THE ONLY THING that we used for hairy teenage legs. The stuff stank! My friend once shmeared some of it on her legs and then touched her closed eye by mistake and didn't have eyelashes or her right eyebrow for a whole month. So, I guess the stuff works. Flash forward to 2022 and I see this stuff on sale here at iHerb and I thought to myself, "Hey, it's been 50 years, they must have done something to make it smell better." They haven't. But it still works beautifully. And you know what, you have to have it on for 3 to 5 minutes, no longer than 10. I can live through that for the clear, hairless skin I want.
