I have found my new GHD white hair straightener to be a great product it straightens my hair leaving it looking glossy, straight and healthy. I have used it also to put waves in my hair following the tutorials on the GHD website, I didn't know that it was possible to create waves and curles with straighteners but because this product has a rounded barrel it worked well for creating waves. My hair is natrually wavey and can be prone to dryness and frizz but I have found that using the staighteners together with hair products tends to help these problems and make me feel more confident that my hair is going to look good throughout the day / evening. It is an added bonus that these new hair straighteners are designed to only use an optimal amount of heat as I do not want to damage my already dry hair by subjecting it to excessive heat. The lead is long and the swivel base to the lead makes the product easy to use. I would have liked a heat mat or pouch with this product but that is the only negative thing. I purchased this GHD Platinum styler that was recommended by my hair stylist & I wish I would have done more research on my own first and read more reviews before spending so much money on this flat iron. I am sadly disappointed in this straighter as you can't adjust the heat setting and the temperature "adjusts to your hair." My hair is very fine, thin and curly and I am not impressed. It does not leave my hair straight compared to a less expensive straightener & sadly the straightener's plates catch my hair and pulls my hair out & gets stuck in the plates. The straightener has damaged my ends and pulls out hair constantly. The plus and cord are long and heavy and clunky. Not to mention, the sound when you turn on the straighter is so loud and you can't mute the sound or sound level. If I could give this product a zero rating, I would. I really like this curling iron! It is a nice heavy, sturdy feel when using it, and feels quality. One feature I like is heat adjustment. You twist the bottom to increase or decrease, and there is a lock button to prevent you from changing heat during use. However, the lock button seems to be in a place that my fingers find and I realized I was changing the temperature many times while curling. I will just have to be mindful of this in the future. I've had this flat iron for about 3 years now. As far as the actual act of FLAT IRONING, it's wonderful. I have thick curly shoulder length hair and what used to take me over an hour with a CHi, takes me about 30 minutes with this one. It heats fast and straightens thoroughly. My ONLY complaint is that the button placement on this thing drives me nuts! Im constantly turning it off accidently because your hand also happens to be where all the buttons are. I honestly don't remember how long I've had this flat iron. At least 2.5 yrs. Every time I've used it, the smell of burnt follows me everywhere and makes me feel self conscious. I have thick curly hair and used a high heat, so I would lower it thinking maybe it's too hot. The smell was still there, even with heat protection. I shrugged it off as that's just my hair. This flat iron replaced my Chi that I owned for 12+ years I chose this brand because my hair stylist uses it and wanted the titanium plates. After a couple years of light use I plugged it in, switched it on, and saw ERR. The plates never heated. The flat iron looks brand new! I researched online to see what the ERR message meant, but could not find anything. I did find a YouTube video where a person took one similar to this model and tore it completely apart in attempt to fix the same issue. Holy smokes does this thing curl! I've been staying away from T3 products because years ago Id purchased the flat iron and blow dryer and both were horrible! I couldn't give those things away. Fast forward to now and I needed a 1.5 " curling iron which GHD does not sell. I've had this for over a week and i literally have not used my GHD curling wand, flat iron or 1.25 curling iron. Why? The long barrel allows me to wrap my entire hair length to evenly distribute heat. I found my hair to glide smoothly across the surface of the barrel. I am reviewing this based on how it is advertised – a hair iron with little to no damage on hair. All other reviews about battery is all nonsense review as this is a hair iron – of course you can’t use it 3 hours straight like the one that’s plugged. Not unless you want them to make this heavy and bigger, don’t expect for this to hold hours of styling. The iron does not make your hair smell like it’s on fire. You would feel that the hair keeps its strength while being styled and the style holds for a very long time. I bought this because my hair is thin and I get split ends due to styling but eversince I’ve had this, I have not gotten any splits. Best purchase ever. The battery will last you enough to style your hair for one styling in you have thick hair, if like me, I get two stylings without charging in between .. the instructions did include to make sure it’s plugged in between uses.Karly
I’m NOT a professional, & I bought this because I I have very long, unruly & dare I say, as I’ve gotten older, frizzy hair… I bought the Airwrap Complete last year…& as wonderful as it is, it didn’t address my “frizziness” … the cuticle wouldn’t lay flat…like I said, I’m not a pro, so I couldn’t get enough tension to get my hair smooth & sleek with it …I know there are those that can work with it and get amazing results … I’m just not one of those people …although I do still love it for my basic blow out, & I love to curl with it !!! In my “youth” it was straight, silky & smooth.., now… it looked like a rats nest … the texture has totally changed since I’ve gone grey … oh .. I didn’t mention that … haha… & 3 years ago, I gave up coloring it … so… no matter how much product I used, even with the Airwrap.. it still had frizz… So.. I got the Corrale …. Let Me Tell You !!!! This thing is a MIRACLE !!! My hair looks like it did when I was a teenager … it’s shiny, sleek, smooth, soft … it’s AMAZING !!! And it stays that way until my next shampoo !!! I straighten it once… on the MED setting, and it takes about 10 minutes… once every 5 days or so.., and that’s it !!! This was a birthday purchase. My first experience with Dyson was with the supersonic dryer which I love and then the Airwrap which I’m still learning the best uses for my hair,Since I couldn’t get my hair smooth as I like with the Airwrap I decided to give the Córrale a try and didn’t disappoint actually I can tell the difference between the Córrale straightener and the competitor. The Córrale leaves my hair smooth and doesn’t burn it. Also I can use the medium setting and get great results with lasting curls and no frizz. While the tool is very expensive I believe is a great investment since the health of my hair is now better. I highlighted coarse hair lots of it, pass shoulder length, usually takes me an hour to style. The córrale has shorten that process to 30 minutes. So far I’m happy with my purchase and I recommend the Córrale since has given me great results and shorten the styling time.Andrea2717

I've had a babybliss hair straightener for the last 10 years, I have thick hair and lots of it and this straightener has always worked great for me. It heats up quickly but does not burn your hair. I also like the curved plates as they make it really easy to curl my hair (my hair will not hold a curl from a normal iron) but works just as well when I want to simply straighten my hair (its normally very straight with a bit of a wave here and there).janelle.w

This is absolutely one of the best flat irons out there. I am a professional stylist and have bought one for home, one for the salon and I have burned through one after several years of all day in salon using. I have never pinched myself or burnt myself using this and get better curls then with a curling iron, professional GHD, CHI, T3 and many more. It straightens my ethnic clients thick tiny curls to my very fine fragile hair clients. If it doesn't work for you loosen your grip. Two fingers is all you need. I'm really happy with this! I'm trying to reduce using so much heat on my hair, but my hair looks absolutely horrible when it air dries. I washed my hair last night around 7pm, put it up in this scrunchie and I went to bed around midnight. My hair was slightly damp when I went to bed, but mostly dry. This is an ok towel scrunchie. I use the towel first (same brand), and then I switch over to the scrunchie. I really don't like blow drying my hair, nor do I like wet hair on my neck, so this serves it's purpose. This does a pretty decent job absorbing water, it just feels bulky on my head. I have mid length, fine hair and can only get it two wrap 2 times. When I put my hair into a bun, the hair in the center of the bun was still wet after an hour. Still a good buy overall as it feels well made.DMVW
These are great for soaking up wetness and work amazing! But I typically use tide and downy in much laundry. You cannot use this on these they come out with a horrible smell. I'm going to try dreft next time and see if that's better. But the products does work amazing and the smell of the scrunchie hasn't made my hair smell. This dryer is lightweight and works wonderfully for blow drying at home. With the price where it is is I think there are other dryers on the market that are better quality. It is lightweight and good for people with shoulder issues or anyone that has a hard time with the weight of a dryer. My review for professional use in a salon it that it is not at all powerful enough. The attachments connect with a magnet, this is a great concept but it falls short as the magnets need to be stronger. I have had attachments fall off Mid Blowdry. The air Concentrator is a good size and does concentrate air flow for a blowout however it is double layered and the outer layer came off in 2 weeks. (It works better without it) The diffuser is worthless, it is too small so the air still too powerful and makes the hair frizzy…even at high heat lowest power. Also the cord is WAY TOO SHORT. I read the reviews on the Le Styliste Luxe dryer and decided to give it a try. Upon opening the lovely pink L’Ange box I was shocked but pleasantly surprised on how the pretty in pink dryer was so small and light. The directions easily explained the controls and I couldn’t believe how comfortable it felt in my hand. But most importantly after using it for the first time I knew that I wouldn’t be able to use any other dryer. The Le Styliste Luxe dried my hair quickly while giving it great body. Can not believe how much power there is in this incredibly lightweight, easy to handle dryer. I usually have to finish off my blow dry with velcro rollers or a flat iron. No need with the Luxe – good to go with just a blow out. The magnetic accessories are a great addition. Thank goodness the Luxe is so light and small because I know I have to pack it when I travel. Unfortunately I did not live this dryer and I really wanted to. I am a professional hair stylist working in a very busy salon. After close to 3 years my Dyson pooped out on me so I figured I'd try something new, even though I loved my Dyson. The Lange is beautiful, lightweight and sleek. The reason I returned it back to Ulta is because the power button and speed/temp buttons are all on the inner handle right where I grip the dryer! Very poor design. I would turn the dryer off and accidentally change the temperature and speed settings during the blowout. I don't have time for that with how busy I am in the salon. After reading multiple reviews, most people had the same exact issue and returned the dryer because it is so annoying. It's a shame, the buttons are right where you grip the dryer causing people to mistakenly turn it off and/or adjust the speed and temp. Very aggravating.
