This is my first foray into pomades, and I was braced for something between a hair oil and the crunchy gels of the 80s. I was pleasantly surprised to find Cremo delivered something far better. This pomade is a solid hold, especially when worked through do hair, and it holds for 24 hours, if not longer. I've been able to mist water on my hair and comb it back into place after sleeping for a second day's hold. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is great — nothing to compete with my aftershave and cologne. I have 3a/b curly hair, ringlets with big volume and I thought I'd never be able to wear my hair straight without using a straightener religiously. And with this product alone, I can wear my hair slicked back and mostly straight in a Peaky Blinders cut. That's the kind of hold Cremo delivers, and I'm a convert for life. I recently received this Cremo Thickening Styling Paste #freeproduct from #trywithtopbox to try in exchange for an honest review. This is the first time my fiancé is trying a styling paste, he usually uses hair glue for his hair. He found that the product was easy to use and work into his hair. The texture of the paste is really soft and not at all sticky or tacky. It however does not have as much hold as his usual hair glue. He actually has pretty thick hair to begin with so he couldn't tell if there was a thickening effect. However, he said he really loved the scent of product. Most hair styling products he has tried usually smells waxy or has a overwhelming perfumy scent. This one smells like an old fashioned barber shop. I have thin hair, but plenty of it. And I actually bought this conditioner to try out before it was sent to me by Influenster, so I have a whole other bottle in waiting and I am really happy about this! This conditioner is thick and creamy and does a great job of making my hair soft and smooth and hydrated after using the matching shampoo, which can strip it down a bit. It smells nice (fresh and flowery, not heavy at all), and most importantly, my hair looks and feels great after washing. For me, I have to pick a conditioner with little to no silicones because it just weighs my hair down so fast. This one does not do that at all – my hair feels soft and light after it’s dry, really healthy feeling. It didn’t add volume for me, but I don’t think conditioner can really do that – the important thing is that it didn’t weigh my hair down and make it looks sad and flat and greasy. My hair looks voluminous because there’s no weight, I love it. I also think this shampoo and conditioner are really reasonably priced for a more mid-range salon brand. I was really disappointed in this shampoo that I purchased as part of a volumebloom set. I have fine hair (chin length) and expected volume. My hair unfortunately remained flat, even after blow-drying with a quality hair dryer. My hair found its soulmate! My first impression was a great one; beautiful and sleek bottle design. I popped open the cap and let my sense of smell guide me and I was extremely pleased. This shampoo has a wonderous scent; it made me feel like I was transported to a high end salon; it has a soft scent that isn't overpowering and doesn't smell like chemicals. Biolage smells crisp and clean and the scent stays within the hair for hours after shampooing. I literally couldn't stop smelling my own hair, it is fantastic. Now, I have pretty thin hair and most products that promise to "volumize" your hair have never really held up for me but after only one use my hair had a noticeable difference. I actually got great volume from Biolage, my hair had a luxury sheen, it left my hair feeling incredibly soft and my fingers would just glide through my hair without getting tangled; my husband even noticed that my hair had more volume and he loved the scent as well. L'Oréal Paris EverStrong Sulfate Free Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner kit is retailed around $14.00. It’s a very affordable haircare with rosemary leaf to fortify fragile and thin hair. I could feel the hydration and thickness since the first use with a pleased fresh aromatic fragrance. My hair looks fuller and soft without frizz. I was very impressed with this L’Oréal Vegan line. I have tried other versions from L’Oréal’s line of products but these gave me the best results: thicker, shinier, healthier feeling hair with weight but no weigh down, and leaves all of my scalp and hair feeling clean and balanced. I’ve never been a fun of their products before to try this EverStrong Sulfate Free Thickening kit because the others leave me with dryer ends and, oilier base and itchy scalp. It doesn’t smell bad, some of the reviews were a bit harsh on the smell. It’s rosemary and I think a bit minty. I’m on day three of use, while I haven’t really noticed a visual difference, my feel feels thicker. The texture doesn’t feel as fine as it normal is. After using this conditioner, along with the shampoo and serum from the same line, I have noticed a bit of improvement in the overall condition of my hair. I have less breakage and fewer split ends. The Everstrong conditioner is easy to work into my hair and rinses out just as easily. There is a bit of a cooling sensation – I gather it is from the peppermint in the ingredients. I think that has been helping to stimulate my scalp, and hopefully, in the long run, will help with hair growth. I look forward to using this product especially in the summer because of the cooling effect. The scent is more on the herbal side, but it also has a bit of a minty smell to it. Thicker Fuller Hairs entire line of products are amazing! This tonic works well at nourishing and refreshing ones scalp. The tonic is applied after washing your hair in which I use Thicker Fuller Hair Products line for washing my hair as well. Using the entire line is what helps I believe. The tonic is so easy to use and I love the easy pump with the easy to apply pump head that can get right into your scalp. My scalp feels great and I have no issues with dryness. This scalp tonic comes in a nice size spray bottle 4 oz. The spray nozzle has a protective cap on it which is easy to remove. The liquid scalp tonic is a milky green color and it smells minty fresh! This Scalp tonic can be used daily on damp or dry hair. I love using it after I wash my hair and in the mornings. It is 100% Vegan, Sulfate free, Paraben Free, Gluten Free and safe on hair that has been colored. It also hasn't been tested on animals! There's quinoa in this scalp tonic which helps to repair and protect your hair strands. There's a boost of essential minerals that help nourish and rejuvenate your scalp. I'm pleasantly surprised with how much I like this root lifting serum. I've used it about 5 times so far along with the shampoo and conditioner and found that together they really work. My hair, which was thin and limp actually looks thicker and more voluminous now. One of the things I love about this product is that it doesn't impede me from using other products that I had before. I always use Argan oil and I thought if I added this to my hair routine, my hair would end up looking greasy or oily. This has not proven to be the case; I still use the same amount of Argan oil, but have added a pump of the root lifting serum with no difference in appearance of my hair besides looking thicker. The texture of the product itself is gel like and kind of reminds me of aloe vera gel. It has a very mild light scent, almost non-existent so you don't have to worry about a strong perfume like smell. When my hair dries (via air or blow dry), I don't even notice that I've used it because it doesn't leave any traces behind. I love that it's made from organic quinoa and caffeine which I've read is very good for hair growth and stimulating follicles so it's good to see that there are quality ingredients used in the root lifting serum. It's also free from harsh chemicals so my hair is well protected. I purchased this shampoo along with the Jojoba mask to condition. The shampoo is watery but lathers well. A little goes a long way. It rinses clean and leaves a spearmint tingle to your scalp. I normally do not like mint scents but this was more refreshing. It did not leave my hair as moisturized as I prefer but I purchased this particular shampoo for overall hair health, strength, and to address shedding/split ends. I noticed minimal shedding. I use a bottle of this shampoo every year in the spring, and it takes just a few weeks to start seeing results. Just a bottle is good but I’ve been using it for a few years and I see a noticeable difference in my hairline and volume. They changed the packaging from metal to plastic at some point, and the shampoo itself is less liquidy now than it was before, which I like. I have recommended this to friends who told me they really like too. I really wanted this to work for me but unfortunately had two big issues: 1.) This made my hair look great after blow drying and styling but as the day continued, it definitely got oiler faster and became limp and greasy. It’s way too heavy for my fine hair. 2.) This broke me out big time. I’m not sensitive to products and use Retin-A, so I rarely break out. But after using this a couple times, I developed a major breakout on my face, neck, and shoulders. And I always shampoo first and then wash my face and body after. It’s the only thing I changed in my routine and after ceasing use, it cleared up. This thickening spray is amazing! I have not tried this as a heat protectant spray, I’ve only used this as a hairspray for my curls. I can’t attest to whether this protects as a heat protectant spray, or whether this thickens hair. I’ve worn my hair curly and I already have thick hair! I will say this clumped my curls beautifully!!! The smell is amazing, I got compliments every-time I’ve used this spray. I plan on using this as a heat protectant spray in the future. Just got this a couple days ago from #sephora couldn’t hardly wait to try it. I used a generous amount, in sections, on my damp hair (right after the shower….wash day) and let my hair air dry half way, then followed the rest by blow drying it with my on low force, but medium heat. Oh. My. Gawwwww. This stuff is amazing. My hair felt, looked, AND stayed “thick”! It wasn’t sticky or crunchy like most thickening sprays and it smells soooo good. It actually made my hair extremely soft and manageable. It looked healthier, shinier, just overall……beautiful. I absolutely love this product! You spray it on damp hair, then blow dry to style. Spraying it on my hair did not leave my hair feeling heavy or sticky, and did not increase the drying time. I used a round blow dry brush and ended up with amazing results! I have fine, frizzy hair, so I usually have to style with a straightener or curling iron after blow drying but, honestly, I could just leave it as is. Since lockdown, my hair has been falling at an alarming rate, to the point that I started searching my scalp to see if I have any bald spots (thankfully no! but I would say I have lost half of my hair in total). This shampoo has really changed my life, as cheesy as that sounds. I have only used it three / four times and my hair stopped falling completely. The bottle might be small compared to your average Pantene etc, but you don't need to use a huge amount (and I have very long hair). Really recommend to those freaking out like me over hair loss and will be repurchasing for sure.

I have just spent the last 15 minutes trying to take out the biggest knot in my hair thanks to this and it’s equally offensive conditioner buddy! In the end I’ve had to cut out a chunk of my hair which looked like half a dreadlock! I have very little hair as it is; I’m on the verge of tears. I had been using a very high end shampoo and conditioner for a long time that had been causing me some scalp issues, dryness and flaking. I’ve also been going through some severe anxiety recently which unfortunately has taken its toll on my hair and I’ve had fall out in areas. From the first time of using this, I could feel my scalp feeling relieved immediately. My hair feels bouncy, not dry and slightly fuller though probably too soon to notice much difference. My flaking scalp has been reduced dramatically. I will try this without the conditioner, as others have said, as the conditioner is a little heavy. I recently bought the dyson AirWrap in the spring sale, and I was getting soooo frustrated with it because my long, fine (but very thick) hair just would NOT hold the curls. They fell out within 20 minutes! I really didn’t want to return it though, so I started looking for products that might help. That led me to this spray. I love Oribe products, and this seemed like a good option because it simultaneously gives my hair some grip, and also dampens it slightly (which is critical for the dyson airwrap). I start by sectioning my hair (I do three layers), and I spray this onto each section right before I use the barrel attachments. After each section, I do a small spritz of the Living Proof Control hairspray as well. The first picture is my hair when using this spray, and the second is without. Worth every penny!Katiwould
This is truly an amazing product. I have hair loss issues on and off and found this product last year. I have very straight hair; this product makes my hair abundant and vibrant. At first, I worried about the alcohol smell that it has as I am very particular about what I put in my hair due to the hair loss issue, but I alternate with Sisley's Hair Rituel Volumizing Spray (also a wonderful product), and I have not had any negative reactions. I usually spray at the roots, massage in scalp very gently and wait around a few minutes for my hair to be less damp; finally, I blowdry. So, a few things. This has a high alcohol content. Which makes it SUPER drying if sprayed liberally. When I first got it and started using it, it had an instant va-va-voom blowout effect. Which can look weird at first, because the alcohol made my hair a bit stiff like straw. But, I experimented a bit and hit a sweet(er) spot when I'd spray on some leave-in conditioner on my hair (not at the roots but lower down) and then use this concentrating on the roots but also spraying it all the way down. I cut down how much I used, but realized I still need a fair bit of it for it to work. It made my hair look pretty good then! Buuut, it barely seems to have an effect anymore, weirdly. I used it today, for e.g., and there's no extra lift, volume or boost. Maybe my hair is a bit straighter with it. But that's all. And I'm not sure why but that initial effect only lasted a month-ish? For reference I have very fine AND thin hair. It can get super greasy / is at its best when washed daily. I'd get the small size if you're curious, and give it a try. When it worked, it really did work – it's one of only two products that has ever given me visible lift. The blowout effect would last for a few hours, but would wear off as the day progressed, so, keep that in mind. My 4-star rating is assuming it had retained the initial effect.GlowOverHere

I purchased more select thick it cream. It was in sale. Second time ordering this product. I was skeptical thir first time I used it thinking it is not going to work. Another gimic amd money grabber. But gosh!! I have extremely sensitive skin and very very fine hair that is thinning. The select thick it cream did not weigh my hair down and it really did make my hair look a bit thicker. I am a relatively new user of the products here – for a couple of months. My experience with every product has been superb. My hair is colored, on the coarse side, can run dry and flat. I use the Thick It cream for this purpose. I also use a conditioning spray they offer.- don't have name with me – that works great. I love their hair polish (like to use that on dry hair for smoothing purposes),.dry shampoo as needed, and hair spray. I met my often horrible sister for lunch last week and she NEVER says anything nice to me, but she said that my hair looks amazing. I almost choked on a carrot. This product does a great job thickening appropriately to my hair needs. Oh and I actually mix it with the conditioning spray and it's perfect. It is hard to find a company whose products you want to stay with – there are so many choices out there and holy grail status often feels like a thing of the past, but right now, I'm planning on not cheating on L'ange. I am completely.confident in recommending L'ange products. I kinda have a crush, actually 🙂 Ps- I am also using their styling tool that is both a brush and a dryer. When I applied it to my baby fine hair it not only weighed it down, it made it sticky and as I blow dried my hair your product made it stick to my brush, it tangled, knotted and broke my hair. I had to wash it out. I cannot begin to tell you how upsetting it is to use a product that makes a condition worse that you bought to try to improve. MAJOR FAIL. I like this plump for joy spray. It worked for my fine, bit thin hair. My hair is wavy/curly, so it doesn't have a lot of volume at the top. I used this and like it. The only thing is I wish they would have made it a spray instead of juat a stream, which only goes on one tiny part of your hair. Wow! This product is fantastic!! I have color treated, fine, very thin hair, that is a little longer than shoulder length and naturally wavy. I have found a couple of thickening spray styling products recently that make my hair look great, but they are a little expensive and I can only find them online. I wanted to see if I could find a drugstore brand and came across Not Your Mother's Thickening Hair Lifter at Walgreens. I had never tried this brand before and after the first use I was thrilled and was hooked after that!!!! I'm thinking of buying several bottles for fear they will stop making it! It actually works better than the more expensive brands. After washing and conditioning my hair I use Not Your Mother's Let It Grow Leave in Conditioner (a product I also just started using and like very much because it's lightweight) and let my hair air dry about half way. The directions for the Hair Lifter say to spray it into your hands and then apply to your hair, but I've found it works better for me to spray it into the roots and then finish by applying some through the length of my hair from my hands. The most important thing I've found with any thickening spray is to play around with how much to use. The other ones I've used say to apply liberally and for me that means using much more than I would assume, to get great results and the same goes for Not Your Mother's. I blow dry my hair and use a round brush on the crown and bangs, then dry the sides and back flipped over and the volume this product creates is incredible! Sometimes I use a curling iron and it works equally well. It's not just fuller looking, I honestly look like I have three or four times more hair on my head. But there is nothing sticky or crunchy about it. Some products tend to build up or make my hair look dirty after a day or two, but this product looks just as great on day two or three. It leaves my hair soft, but holds a style and I don't need to add any other products except for hair spray to set it. The product has little to no smell and no smell at all after it's on my hair. It's a very affordable line and I'm looking forward to trying some the Not Your Mother's shampoos, conditioners and hair sprays.diane.w
I love these travel sized dry shampoos from Not Your Mothers. The summers in Louisiana are brutal and the humidity will have you quickly looking like you haven’t washed your hair in weeks. Overall I liked John Frieda Volume Lift Blow-Out Spray. It gave me good volume. It made my hair very shiny. When I straightened my hair after blow drying it looked very smooth, shiny and sleek. It looked very soft, unlike how it looks with my current product. It laid down much better. The only complaint I have is that if you use too much of the product it can make your hair feel sticky. I thought I was using the recommended amount the first time but it must have been way too much because my hair felt very sticky. The second application I used quite a bit less and it looked and felt much better. I like the nozzle, but trying to turn it in such a way to spray the very back of your head and underneath can be challenging. Maybe a pump you press down and it sprays on it’s own for a few seconds would be more ideal.Angela178
Let me start this review by telling you about my hair. Even though my hair is extra thick, it is composed of tons of very fine strands. It is also long, VERY long! (Lower back length). Because of all the weight, volume is definitely a big issue for me. John Frieda Volume Lift Blow-Out Spray is the product I have been searching for, and badly needed in my life! This stuff is truly magic in a bottle! Unlike all the other volumes sprays I have tried, this spray doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff, crunchy, hard or brittle. My hair is incredibly soft still and has great movement! The amount of volume this product gives my hair is insane! Usually, I would have to use large velcro rollers at the roots to get this amount of lift and volume. I can skip that step completely now, saving me a ton of time! I have the conditioner in this I love how it feels on my scalp, you really don’t need to use much. I only got the conditioner to try I will be picking up the Shampoo. I also have the huge bottle of this I picked up from a local hair salon my mom was looking for a shampoo she loves and we got buy one get one halve off paid half and half because she doesn’t use conditioner because her hair is really thin. This would’ve cost me almost $40 I payed $30 but I really am trying to focus more on my hair health and skin health and of course my overall health. My hair was definitely voluminous after use, it smells heavenly, I love the cool tingling sensation which I believe is Rosemary and Mint. Love those ingredients. I’d highly recommend this because it’s good and it will last you longer that most drugstore Shampoo/ conditioner. A little bit really goes a long way.
