Decent vacuum overall. I bought the one with the pet attachment and unfortunately the attachment already broke. Needless to say it will be returned. The battery life is pretty weak. It’s definitely not as good as I was expecting. The filter seems to get quite full. I suppose that’s not a bad thing but it looks cheaply made. They actually recommend you replace every few months or depending on how much you use it. If the pet attachment didn’t break I would hang onto this but I have not even had it 2 weeks and it’s already falling apart. I thought the pet attachment worked good before it broke and the extended nose was nice for tight places and easier on the back.Brizzo

Was happy to receive the Shark WV410 Wandvac Power Pet Cordless Hand vacuum as I had areas that I knew it would come in real handy for. It weighs just about 1.5 pounds so was easy on my arm and hand. Upon opening the box it was very simple to put together – basically all in just a couple of minutes. Included is a charging dock, handheld vacuum wand, onboard accessory storage attachment (which you need to slip on the back of wand for stability), a duster crevice tool and a pet tool. The 2 attachments simply sit in their proper places on the storage attachment and it's set up, ready to go. I ran the power cord through the bottom as there is a groove that keeps it in place. I then plugged it in and charged about 4 hours. You can leave this vacuum plugged in continuously so its always charged and ready to use without harming the battery life. There is a round white power button on the wand in front that slowly blinks until its fully charged then turns solid. The on and off switch button is on the handle and a Boost button below that for the Deep Clean mode. When using the Deep Clean mode I found the battery remained charged about 14 minutes, so for longer usage I found the normal Eco mode works perfectly with plenty of adequate suction and has about 1/2 hour run time. I used this to actually dust my house – on tables and other pieces of furniture, picture frames, etc. Especially worked wonders on my carpeted basement steps! No more dragging my heavy corded vacuum around to accomplish that task! It picked up crumbs and other little items of dry cat food without a hitch. You can see when the dust cup is full and ready to be emptied. So after use you will need to empty the dust cup by depressing a yellow switch and holding it over a trash can. I suggest wiping out the cup with a dry cloth to help keep it cleaner inside. When the included filter needs cleaning you have to remove the dust cup and pinching both sides of filter you pivot upward to access it. Place over a trash can and there is a metal ring on top of the filter to help remove from the housing. Just tap it lightly to remove dirt and rinse with water only. Be sure to let the filter air-dry for at least 24 hours or completely dry before reinstalling. I have had no blockage issues whatsoever with mine but if you do notice a noise change while vacuuming check for blockages or objects that might be caught in the vacuum. There are instructions in the owner's manual for this. The manual also has an excellent Troubleshooting section which is most helpful if you need it. Shark made this vacuum so easy to use and future fix so keep that manual just in case! There are other available accessories you can purchase. However for this particular model it seems to be just the wide upholstery tool and a replacement battery. The tools that came with mine are sufficient and overall I am very pleased with its performance. It's not the quietest hand vacuum around but it sure does a great job of picking up things I need it to. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this very useful small household vacuum and love the fact its cordless. The Sharp Wandvac WV410 is the 2nd iteration of the portable handheld vacuum that has been quite popular. This new version has a lot of improvements over the older one and makes it a more versatile compact unit. The first thing I noticed when I got this vacuum is how light, small, and consequently ergonomic the design is. Like all shark vacuums, the build quality is superb even though the whole unit is made with plastic. The material is sturdy and seemed to withstand the regular rough handling when trying to vacuum some weird crevice. I never felt it’ll get damaged, which is not the case with a lot of these handheld vacuums. The unit comes with 2 attachments, however there’s no powered attachment. A charging base, which also acts like an attachment holder, is included and importantly has a small footprint. This helped me to set it up in a convenient location, and made sure the unit is getting charged after stow. Another good feature which I found quite significant is the use of detachable battery. Thus if the battery fails after it’s charge cycle has been used up, I don’t need to throw away the vacuum. Also if I need to use it more frequently, I can get a second battery (and charger) to swap on the job. I really love this feature. In terms of performance, I never thought this will replace my larger, corded units – you can only do so much with a small cordless unit – but I’m definitely impressed. Being a pet owner, I am constantly cleaning up dog hair and scattered food stuff all over the house, and for that purpose this has been working perfectly. The unit storage for dust and debri is small due to the form factor, but the hinge design for dumping these made it a breeze, and moreover it’s almost a no-touch solution. Thus, it’s quite easy to clean which again is something I miss in some of my other handheld vacuums. The vacuum is not the noisient out there, and the suction power is not extraordinary, but for the size and useability they are more than adequate. Overall I’m quite impressed what Shark is delivering with the WV401 and I’m using it practically everyday. Without going overboard with features and design, the Wandvac provides provides the one thing I look for in a handheld vacuum – ease of use. There is a simplicity to this little vacuum that I really appreciate. It has two buttons, one for power, and the other a toggle for boost mode. Last it has a latch for unlocking the dust trap on the underside to dump out the contents it picked up. There are two included attachments, one for a wider area with a brush at the end, and the other is an extension of the end of the vacuum with a flip up brush at its tip. The two extra parts have little mounting points on the charging station that the handheld drops into for storage and charging, and once you find a suitable place for it all it is very compact and unassuming. The vacuum itself is shockingly lightweight yet very powerful for its size. It is well balanced making it easy to hold and maneuver into tight spaces. That is the strong point for it is tight spaces like in your car or corners of stairs or furniture. Being so small it does not have much room to store the debris so you either must plan on emptying it often or using it sparingly for the small areas a larger vacuum could not easily get to. I have been able to get it around and under the seats of my vehicles and use it regularly for cleaning up the nooks of my stairs where my dogs leave hair all the time. It is so easy to grab off the dock and get to work that it makes me feel more inclined to do so for even the smallest and quickest messes. I store it right next to my larger stick vacuum so it’s easy for me to get to and keeps everything of similar jobs in the same place. Battery life is great I typically have to empty the reservoir many times long before being at risk of running out of battery life. And when I am done just drop it back onto the dock so it's always ready to go. With the wide head attachment, it works great for clearing couches and other furniture of dog hair, and the smaller attachment gets into the small spaces like my stairs. It is also very quiet especially considering its suction power. I am very impressed with how well it works and how easy it is to use. For pet owners who need to get hair and dust out of all their corners or anyone who wants to be able to clean small spaces quickly and easily this is a must have and I highly recommend it.Josh

Fantastic product! I got the item today and I have used it all over the house to get in the crevices and baseboards. It is very easy to empty and easy to clean. It also came with an extra filter and a brush attachment and a crevices tool. It is smaller than I expected and it is so light I thought the box was empty. Those are definite pluses in my book. Also the light is very useful and you can turn it on and off with a button instead of it being on all the time when it runs so I think that helps keep the carge.handege_0

First, the positive: Initially, this was a great purchase. Powerful and lasts for long enough for most jobs, and that's still the case after 3 years. Now the negative: Since about 6 months ago, when starting use after it's been on charge for easily sufficient time to fully charge, it cuts out within about 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug in again and it then usually works for some 6 minutes on full power. This is simply a defective unit as the battery is clearly still holding the charge. Wouldn't rush to buy a Dyson again.RobS53

We had a precious model DC34 which served us well until the motor died. We also have a V10 and a Miele plug in for the bigger jobs, and wanted to replace the hand held This gets regular light use .Despite emptying after every use and washing the filter it started pulsing.My wife and I have just spent a quite few hours cleaning the machine.the filter was totally clogged inside and more importantly the interior, inside the shiny perforated cylindrical right up to the cyclones was full of debris /clogged . Bought this to do small pickups after a sweep of the floor, and to clean the car. It's proven handy when doing a bit of DIY around the house, where you can immediately pickup any small debris left from drilling etc. For very quick jobs it's good, but the "standard" power mode is a bit of a joke as it can barely pick up dust let-alone bigger objects like spilled cereal and a bit of dirt. Max power has some decent suction and, with the motorised tool, makes short work of cleaning rugs and carpets, but this only last for around 6 minutes, so again is only good for quick jobs. Like other reviewers, I also had the intermittent power issue, but after following the support video step by step, it started working again – I had cleaned everything else before following the steps, but didn't know about the easy to remove and clean filter. Generally, I find it quite easy to clean and put back together, actually much easier than the dyson cylinder vac (where I have to pull the bin apart to get out the hair). I am a bit torn on this machine, I do like a dyson, and I end up using the handheld on average twice a day, but it could just be a bit better. Given that it is a similar price to the cylinder vac, I was expecting a bit more. A killer feature would be the ability to run it while plugged in – I know this defeats the purpose of the "cordless" handheld, but running out of power when you only have a couple of minutes to go is quite infuriating. Before you even turn on this vacuum, you better be prepared with earplugs for the very loud noise it makes. I would have tolerated it if this had a strong suction but it doesn’t. Bits of dirt fall out of the opening while vacuuming and once you turn it off. I’m better of using a dustpan! Horrible product and will never buy this brand again.Pinky

I've used this tool much more than I ever expected I would. It has replaced running for the pan and dust broom for quick sweep ups or pick ups. What I love: It's very lightweight and easy to maneuver, great for picking up crumbs or small things that get tracked in on the floor. I also like that it has an attachment to suck up spills – much more handy than I would have imagined. We took it with us camping in our camper and was wonderful for quickly sucking up sand that was tracked in and debris the dog tracked in. Also very useful for a quick clean up in the car. It's very easy to empty and clean out. I've also been surprised on how long it holds a charge. What I'd like to see in future models: The exhaust is powerful (which ultimately means it's doing its job) but can blow lighter weight materials around – not sure If that could ever be relocated. A storage price that could be mounted to the wall for charging that also holds the squeegee attachment would be nice. I had an instance where I wanted to suck up a spill and couldn't remember where the attachment was. A brush attachment for the crevice tool would be nice too. I love this QuickFlip Handheld Vacuum. In just the short time I've had it has picked up under cabinet spills and things that collect under tables and chairs. Oatmeal, dry cereal, some sugar and flour were easily picked up and then discarded with the quick release of the container and emptied in the garbage can. And being that it is a wet/dry vacuum can also be easily washed out of anything trying to stick to the container!! So awesome. I don't need a huge wet/dry vacuum to pick up cereal laced milk, just picked up the light weight handheld and sucked it all up. Couldn't ask for a better tool to clean it up! At first, my wife thought the power was a little weak but I had to remind her that it should at least charge overnight. So we let it charge over night and wow, this little Dirt Devil was awesome! We thought we would wait until we needed it but decided to try it on the couch, which turned into the chairs and then everything else! It had become especially handy chasing our toddler around. Picks up cheerios and cracker crumbs great! We also have two dogs and although we understand this little vacuum may not be rated for pet hair, it does a FANTASTIC job in doing this too. We weren't expecting it too much as a result but again, impressed. We have also used it in the car which is now our go to for that as well. We've vacuumed sand, daily dirt and again, cheerios. Holds a really good charge and doesn't take long to recharge. The only "drawback", according to my wife, is that it doesn't pick up it tight spaces being that the nose of the vaccum is a bit bulky. But, for the price you would pay I would expect it to have accessories. It definitely does the job it was intended to do and I plan on keeping this Dirt Devil handy for both the house and car. I have a much more expensive hand vacuum that I've been using for a few years now and I'm going to replace it with this one. I can't stand how loud my other vacuum is and this one is just as good and much more quiet. I like how light it is and it fits nicely in my hand. I've actually given my 4 and 6 year old kids the thumbs up to use it at will because of how light it is and that has been very helpful for them to be able to clean up some of their own messes. They love it. Otherwise, it's a standard, nice looking hand vacuum that does all the things a small hand vacuum should do. It's easy to clean and it holds an acceptable battery charge length. This isn't going to replace your main household vacuum but it is great for the smaller messes without the hassle of lugging out your big vacuum and takes 2 seconds to pick up, vacuum and put away. There is also a little extender nozzle that I never use and actually pinched my skin when I tried clipping it back into place, not sure if that was my own fault or a design flaw but no big deal either way. Long story short, I like it and it's so cheap that I might buy another couple to keep in each of my cars to keep them clean too.Don P.

I think a vacuum like this is good for a few particular jobs. The biggest thing I noticed was the Battery life is lacking. Suction is okay, not fantastic. It has a decent size debris cup. Handy to always have the crevice ready to use. I took it out to my car after my kids ate churros getting crumbs in the seat. They had also dragged in wet grass clipping a few days before leaving dried grass in the carpet. I vacuumed the seats and boosters first. Then moved to the floor and tracks that the seats glide in. It worked fairly well picking up crumbs, small rocks and dirt. It did not pick up the dried grass clippings very well. The crevice tool worked very well getting in the tracks in the floor. The battery life wasn't enough to finish even finish just the middle row section in my SUV. I feel like that's not a very useful battery span. I would have to have at least 3 full charges to do my midsize 3 row SUV. It worked ok for cleaning between the screens and windows in the house. The crevice tool works very well in getting in the deep cracks in furniture. I have only done 3 charge cycles, so I do not feel like I can review the battery durability. I have other vacuums I use for floor messes, so I don't have a review of that. My 7 year old enjoyed using it, so if you're buying for kids to help out, this could be a good choice. Keeping in mind the jobs you would be using this vacuum for would be a big deciding factor if i would recommend purchasing this model.AEC07

A wet-dry handheld vacuum I've had for a LONG time finally decided to not work. I searching for a new handheld I came across the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Lithium Ion Cordless Pet Hand Vacuum. Upon reading the various reviews, I decided to give this vacuum a try and man I am glad I did. The powered brush head and good suction works great on our furniture to remove the cat hair from our two long-haired cats, Bella and Sassy Cat. I find the powered roller brush easy to clean. The included attachment fitment into the dust cup is firm, which gives me confidence in the ability for the attachment to stay in place during use. Since parts are available I also bought the dusting brush attachment and an extra brush roll and clip. Thank you for an effective (and good looking) handheld vacuum!Karl

I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage. It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness.. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone. Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don't realize how much you need it until you buy it. This product marketed as "Pet Pro+" is poorly designed. From the first use, dog hair gets stuck behind the debris rollers inside the dust cup. It's not simply a matter of pressing the release button to dispose the hair & dust. You have to dig behind to get everything out after each use. It's really inconvenient, dirty, and time-consuming. I purchased it to upgrade my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser, but am relieved I kept that old Bissell which I still use instead. Does an adequate job. This vacuum does not move a lot of air, but the attachment openings are small, which mostly offsets the low flow volume. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus – it just doesn't have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials. The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it's not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though. The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions. You're not required to clean the brush after every use to released trapped hair. The Power Brush is powered by the vacuum's internal battery, so using it will consume more battery, but I've yet to have an issue with the battery running out, even during extended use. The quick release bagless design is an improvement over older models that required filter bags, though the compartment is quite small. Once again, this vaccum is not intended for large areas or large volumn jobs. My only real complaint is the location of the power button. During normal use, that is where my index finger prefers to rest for stablization while reaching with the vacuum. I'll turn it off 20 times during a small job. I'm sure the power switch will wear out long before any other component, at least for me.HBailey

I was pleasantly surprised how much more power this little thing has. The suction is great not like the old hand held vacs. that plugged it the cigarette lighter in your car. This is a noticeable improvement. It's lightweight easy to handle and maneuver in tight and hard to reach areas. One of the unique things is nozzle extends out if needed to reach under chairs or car seats. Included is a small attachable brush and a little beater brush that helps to pull out pet hair from carpet or rugs. That attachment is of course made of plastic so I don't think it's made for big jobs like stairs or large rugs. I used it for mostly for upholstered furniture and car seats. It's very handy to have especially when a quick clean up is needed. I pull it out and run over the sofa to make sure there isn't any pet hair on it. Also you can even run over your clothes to get rid of hair or lint. The see through dust bin is easy to empty. The paper filter is recommended to be replaced after 6-9 months. Make sure your check the filter before your first use. Mine was ajar probably during shipping. It has a 2 year warranty and a 30 money back guarantee. I was surprised at how well this tiny vacuum works! I was looking for something quick and easy to vacuum my couches and this fit the bill! Not only is it small but it packs power. I have a dog that loves to lay on the back of the couches and this little vacuum makes it so easy for daily clean up of dog hair. It gets all the dog hair up and makes the couches look brand new! I. I have a very large golden retriever, so I was anxious to try this pet hand vacuum through the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. This replaces an old B+D Dustbuster that didn't have very good suction. This comes with a small base that we mounted on the wall with 2 screws. It is a cordless unit, however it needs to be plugged in, in order to charge. There are basically 2 ways to use this vacuum – the first is like a traditional hand vacuum and the second is with a detachable, motorized "pet head" with rubber tines that helps get pet hair up. I noticed some hair gets wrapped up in the tines, but it is easy to pull out/remove. It is very powerful and much more efficient than the hand vacuum that it replaces. There are however some key design flaws, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We discovered after we mounted it on the wall that the power plug connects to the unit itself, not the base. That means every time you use it, you need to unplug it from the power source, then you need to plug it back in for charging after use. When you use it, you can really feel a very strong wind tunnel shooting out of both sides of it. This is annoying when you are vacuuming in tight quarters, like a vehicle. It literally blows right in your face. I don't notice it as much if I'm just vacuuming the floor, or a rug. Another issue I'm finding is that when I empty the chamber after use, the air filter always falls out in the trash. You have to be very careful in order for this not to happen. Overall I am happy with how strong of a suction it has and how much hair it actually picks up, but I think it needs some improvements to be 5 star worthy.phonequestion

The suction of this hand vacuum is FANTASTIC! The attachments work very well as well. My only complaint is that the run time is relatively short compared to the time needed to charge – I get anywhere from 15-30 minutes max on a full charge. I mostly use to vacuum furniture, stair carpet treads, and miscellaneous fur on the wood floors so not a big deal but if you need to do a lot more daily vacuuming with this you may be annoyed by the charge it holds. Review update dropping to 3 stars because the vacuum takes a long time to recharge and you’re lucky to get even 15 minutes. I still think the suction is fantastic.Allie

We’ve had this hand vac for years (10?) and it always worked great for picking up pet hair, human hair, etc. It was especially useful on stairs that are hard to clean with larger vacs. Unfortunately, a small plastic part broke inside the clear part of the vacuum. At first, it continued to work, but then overheated so it is dead. My main objective for this was to get a corded version of a hand held compact device for use in my RV because I hate the limitations of battery operated devices, ironic as it is. This solves that problem, but has limited reach for tight spots. This could be remedied by designing a hose attachment with a crevice nozzle long enough to reach under small spaces, especially those in cars. I like the long cord, the power of it, and the rubber nozzle for pet hair. It is a bit noisy so wear ear plugs if you are sensitive. It also kicks up the dust and hair, so be prepared. It might be nice to see a version of this in both corded and battery so that there could be a versatile option for power. The filter is not easy to clean and gets filthy very quickly. I've cleaned mine about 10 times since I've owned it, and often tap out any loose dirt and use tweezers to clear out the heavier lint in the folds. It reminds me of an air filter I used to buy for my Toro lawn mower once a year. Buying new filters for this would be expensive, and it might be nice to see a cleanable filter. I guess that might cut into their bottom line, however, I'm not going to shell out money on expensive filters every week. The main design flaw is in the switch, which turns off when it hits objects as its being used in tight places. Upon cleaning my car, I kept hitting the handle on certain areas and had to keep turning it back on. Put the switch on the back. The shape is gimmicky, and the handle seems a bit in the way and could have been more streamlined. Overall, its a good product, but not perfect. No simple plug-in interface for charging; instead it must sit upright on a plastic charging saucer that takes up space and is unsteady as you try to lower the vacuum onto its charging contacts. Even when you manage to get the vacuum into position, the vacuum sometimes wobbles over and falls off the saucer. In order to store the vacuum while charging, you must put it on this saucer rather than lay it on its side, which is the easier way to put it down and charge it by simply inserting a connecting power cord. Have used it only for a couple of days and am seriously considering returning it for a refund.Phyllis

Just arrived and I've only used it once so far, but the suction in the 16V product is so MUCH more powerful than I anticipated – I'm glad I didn't order the 20V version. It charged quickly. I forgot to time how long it lasted, but I got everything done that I wanted to. The blower is out the back instead of the side like my previous handheld which blew the dirt away before you could suck it up. It's also louder than my old one, but seems to have double the suction power, so it's a good trade-off. We have 3 cats and a dog and this handheld got all the hair with no problem. Cleaning was a breeze. my only recommendation would be to offer additional filters at the time of purchase, just for the convenience of having one at the ready (for whenever). Terribly designed charger. The vacuum cleaner perches vertically on it. It rocks. It can fall over and crash at the slightest touch. It can break in the fall or be dangerous. This is "cheap" at its utmost. The wall hanger was missing altogether, but from the diagrams it is hard see if the cleaner can be charging while it hangs. Probably not, so what's the point? The two pieces, the body and the nozzle, are nearly impossible to line up evenly and stably. I've had a lot of experience with BlackGad

Terribly designed charger. The vacuum cleaner perches vertically on it. It rocks. It can fall over and crash at the slightest touch. It can break in the fall or be dangerous. This is "cheap" at its utmost. The wall hanger was missing altogether, but from the diagrams it is hard see if the cleaner can be charging while it hangs. Probably not, so what's the point? The two pieces, the body and the nozzle, are nearly impossible to line up evenly and stably. I've had a lot of experience with BlackGad

The vacuum is not very powerful and has a very limited area of effect. It's difficult to pick up very much, though it is useful for crevices and corners. The attachments don't really do much to pick up dust or hair. They simply trap debris in the bristles of the brush or push it out of the way before the vacuum can pick it up. My biggest complaint in the positioning of the exhaust outlets. They blow out a lot of air near where I'm trying to vacuum and toss lighter items like hair and fur everywhere. Overall while the vacuum has it's uses, it has more flaws than strengths.Jenny

The Shark WANDVAC Power Pet Cordless Hand Vac is a great way to supplement your main vacuum. The small size makes it very easy to clean where big vacuums struggle particularly stairs, corners, tight spaces, and baseboards. The unit itself is small, sleek, and lightweight and comes with a charging dock and a separate attachment holder which slides into it, which is pretty neat. But don't let the small size fool you, The vacuum is absolutely a beast at cleaning, with surprisingly powerful suction despite its size. You can switch between three modes: the deep clean mode, boost mode for extra power, and eco mode if you want less noise. The unit is cordless which makes it easy to carry everywhere around the house and great for vacuuming inside your car. Because of its small footprint, the vacuum stores easily and neatly and won't ruin your home décor. I would definitely recommend it.Michael S

The first thing I said when I opened my Shark WANDVAC® POWER PET Cordless Hand Vac was "omgg it's sooo cute!" haha but really, it is! It's sleek, yet effective. It's small, yet powerful. My favorite thing is that is doesn't take up much space on my counter. It takes up about as much space as a blender would. It's also super lightweight as well The set up was east, you just snap the bottom piece together, plug it in, and stick the vacuum and attachments into their respective slots and let it charge. Once charged, you can attach which attachment you wish and go to town on whatever mess you want to vacuum. There are 3 modes: Normal, Eco and Boost. Eco saves battery, and boost gives you an extra boost of power to get those tough spots. Once you are done, you can empty the compartment that catches the debris. I suggest opening over a trash can or in a bag as stuff will come flying out one you press the button and the door flings open. This was able to get my couch super clean from my Pugs hair and picked up quite big debris (eg candy wrapper) It has a powerful suction, especially when the boost mode is applied. The brushes that are included work will to get up stubborn debris and hair. I couldn't be happier with my new Shark cordless wandvac!Chawkins8

Very poorly designed and engineered–my first disappointment with a Black and Decker product. No simple plug-in interface for charging; instead it must sit upright on a plastic charging saucer that takes up space and is unsteady as you try to lower the vacuum onto its charging contacts. Even when you manage to get the vacuum into position, the vacuum sometimes wobbles over and falls off the saucer. In order to store the vacuum while charging, you must put it on this saucer rather than lay it on its side, which is the easier way to put it down and charge it by simply inserting a connecting power cord. Have used it only for a couple of days and am seriously considering returning it for a refund.Phyllis

Just arrived and I've only used it once so far, but the suction in the 16V product is so MUCH more powerful than I anticipated – I'm glad I didn't order the 20V version. It charged quickly. I forgot to time how long it lasted, but I got everything done that I wanted to. The blower is out the back instead of the side like my previous handheld which blew the dirt away before you could suck it up. It's also louder than my old one, but seems to have double the suction power, so it's a good trade-off. We have 3 cats and a dog and this handheld got all the hair with no problem. I have had a cordless handheld vacuum for years but it died so I thought I would try this one and I'm happy I did. It's powerful and works great. It doesn't seem to be as well made as my other one the plastic isn't as sturdy and the attachments are cheaply made. I wish they would have included an extra filter, I'm having trouble finding them. All in all very powerful and I'm happy with it! Hope it holds up!Breezyshores

I have two cats, one of whom sheds quite a bit. I got this product this morning and have vacuumed up cat litter, did an air purifier filter, and two cat beds. I only stopped because I thought I should give it a rest. It light, but it is really powerful. I had ordered another hand vacuum and returned it almost immediately because it was so cheaply made and the directions were almost non-existent. The Dirt Devil is well made and a lot of thought was given to its design. Who would have thought of a flip out crevice tool. Genius! The directions are well-written and there are lots of graphics to explain everything. So glad I found this product.MaryG

The powerful suction and the long cord make this a very useful tool. I find it much easier than lugging a canister vac to clean. I had drilled some holes in a media cabinet and used the new hand vac to pick up all the dust and scraps – it sucked them all. Future use will be on our cars. We own a winter residence in another state. When we purchased that home a decade or more ago, I found a Dirt Devil hand vac in the garage – in the original box. I have used that vacuum and was very impressed. Knowing how well that old on works made my choice of a new one for our primary residence easy. A truly great device.Mister P.

So I actually like how this performs a lot, it works really well and has great suction, a big improvement over my last one. The problem is, there is no indicator to show you how much battery life you have left, and no light to indicate that’s it’s either charging or done charging. I have an older home with some dodgy outlets where you have plug things in a certain way to make sure they’re working. Well there is no way to tell whether this is charging at all, or when it’s done charging. And as I mentioned, no way to know that it’s running out of battery life until it suddenly starts running slower and then shuts off. It’s a major design flaw in my opinion, very annoying and frustrating, and I would not buy it again for that reason. If it had an indicator light of any kind, it might be my favorite handvac. But as it is, I can’t recommend it – unless you don’t care about things like thatTerrydog06

Terrible product. Battery is DOA, won't hold a charge at all. There is no light to even show you whether it's charging. It uses a nonstandard plug for the charging DC voltage, so you can't even swap the charging adapter for another one to test whether that's the issue. I hade another dustbuster that didnt have enough suction so researched and reviewed many to buy another. Black and Decker used to be known as good quality products. I decided to buy this as it was a little higher in the price but was supposed to have good above average power. This is product useless. It has so little suction, I cant even use it in the car or at home. It is easier for me to get the full size vacuum out from under the bed, put all 3 parts together and set it up rather than using this product – which was the reason for buying it and the hassle it was supposed to avoid. This cordless has held it's charge for longer than expected. I used it off and on for miscellaneous cleaning two days in a row. I then thought I'd place it back on the charger, not because it was necessary, but I didn't want to be without it. The one disadvantage is that it has a reusable/ cleanable filter. The dust it filters is so fine that I'd prefer to throw it out and save my allergic reactions for bigger problems.Rlhumble

I would gladly give this a 5 star if it weren't for the fact that the power switch is tough to press. Really have to give it some push to get it 'on'. Otherwise I just LOVE it. Had a Dirt Devil before that lasted for many years, well worth the price. This one is even better as it has the quick flip option and really gets into tight spots well. Now I just wonder if I have a poor one where the switch sticks. Would like Dirt Devil's feedback here. I'd still recommend 100% to others. LONG lasting battery charge I'm noticing.Lisa in Minnesota

I purchased the Dirt Devil yesterday for for a friend. I liked how the crevice piece is attached. After I charged the unit, I tried to turn it on. The on/off switch is very difficult to use. My friend has arthritis and I doubt she'll be able to operate this unit on her own. I'd consider keeping it, but I already have a cordless vacuumJane
