20 Best Hand Vacuum For Stairs (Jan 2023 Update)

Thanks to the Black and Decker Product Testing Program, I received this Black and Decker Dustbuster, complimentary, in exchange for my honest review. The following opinions are 100% authentic and my own. I was super excited to be chosen to try out my first Black and Decker product. When my Dustbuster arrived, it was a bit smaller than I had imagined, which wasn't necessarily a bad or good thing, I just noted it. The suction seemed strong at first, when powered on, just the warm air it was blowing out seemed incredibly powerful for such a small handheld vacuum. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ends. The suction is seemingly strange and I completely understand this isn't a big and mighty vacuum, but when I say it's strange it's almost as if the actual suction only exists in a certain portion or area of the mouth of the vacuum, as opposed to suction coming from the entire mouth. If I have a crumb, and I want it cleaned up, I must pinpoint this certain area over the crumb, as opposed to simply running the entire mouth over the general area of the crumb. It's tiresome and a bit annoying that I can't just simply swipe the vacuum over the area like most would generally do when vacuuming. It requires more effort than it should. I’ve been using this dustbuster everyday for a few weeks now. I am so happy with this product! This dustbuster has a very long lasting battery life, great suction, easy to empty and is light weight. I use it to clean around my cats litter box, in my car, and for small messes in the kitchen. It works like a charm! If I was to change one thing about this product I would put a lock feature on the button. I have gotten used to pressing the button and it no longer bothers me but see how it could be burdensome for others especially if they have arthritis. I highly recommend this product and will be buying one for my mom.caroline.s

I was honestly expecting this to be better than it is. It does pick up some stuff but not like I had hoped for. The suction power is average, just wish it was better and picked everything up. I will say it does charge fast and holds quite a bit. Also it has a magnetic brush head, you can flip up to use or down to not. If this had better suction power it would be awesome. I also want to mention this comes with the piece that you can hang this on the wall which I do like. Honestly, I'd go with another model, maybe a newer one over this one. I'd love to get a newer one to compare but I'm worried of it being the same way. But this one isn't it unfortunately, I was really hoping this would work perfectly.Peachy1416

Just arrived and I've only used it once so far, but the suction in the 16V product is so MUCH more powerful than I anticipated – I'm glad I didn't order the 20V version. It charged quickly. I forgot to time how long it lasted, but I got everything done that I wanted to. The blower is out the back instead of the side like my previous handheld which blew the dirt away before you could suck it up. It's also louder than my old one, but seems to have double the suction power, so it's a good trade-off. We have 3 cats and a dog and this handheld got all the hair with no problem. Cleaning was a breeze. my only recommendation would be to offer additional filters at the time of purchase, just for the convenience of having one at the ready (for whenever). I didn't know what to expect, but his was SUCH a pleasant surprise, I'm so glad I bought it.CM57

The entry level dustbuster has a grey push button that must be CONSTANTLY held to work. It does not stay on unless you keep your thumb pressed on it. Very difficult if you have small hands or hand disabilities (such as carpal tunnel or anything else that makes ongoing thumb pressure hard). The suction is good. However, in order to use this thing you must hold the on button or tape it down. HORRIBLE design that renders it almost non-functional. Bought it at Target yesterday. Regretting my choice.Quinn

This product marketed as "Pet Pro+" is poorly designed. From the first use, dog hair gets stuck behind the debris rollers inside the dust cup. It's not simply a matter of pressing the release button to dispose the hair & dust. You have to dig behind to get everything out after each use. It's really inconvenient, dirty, and time-consuming. I purchased it to upgrade my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser, but am relieved I kept that old Bissell which I still use instead. Unfortunately I lost the BBB receipt but kept the Shark box flap with product information. See picture of that + problem. Please can you send me a better replacement?BBB Customer

Does an adequate job. This vacuum does not move a lot of air, but the attachment openings are small, which mostly offsets the low flow volume. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus – it just doesn't have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials. The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it's not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though. The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions. You're not required to clean the brush after every use to released trapped hair. The Power Brush is powered by the vacuum's internal battery, so using it will consume more battery, but I've yet to have an issue with the battery running out, even during extended use. The quick release bagless design is an improvement over older models that required filter bags, though the compartment is quite small. Once again, this vaccum is not intended for large areas or large volumn jobs. My only real complaint is the location of the power button. During normal use, that is where my index finger prefers to rest for stablization while reaching with the vacuum. I'll turn it off 20 times during a small job. I'm sure the power switch will wear out long before any other component, at least for me.HBailey

First, the positive: Initially, this was a great purchase. Powerful and lasts for long enough for most jobs, and that's still the case after 3 years. Now the negative: Since about 6 months ago, when starting use after it's been on charge for easily sufficient time to fully charge, it cuts out within about 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug in again and it then usually works for some 6 minutes on full power. This is simply a defective unit as the battery is clearly still holding the charge. Wouldn't rush to buy a Dyson again.RobS53

We had a precious model DC34 which served us well until the motor died. We also have a V10 and a Miele plug in for the bigger jobs, and wanted to replace the hand held This gets regular light use .Despite emptying after every use and washing the filter it started pulsing.My wife and I have just spent a quite few hours cleaning the machine.the filter was totally clogged inside and more importantly the interior, inside the shiny perforated cylindrical right up to the cyclones was full of debris /clogged . Dyson , can you put an official video up how to clean it please . The old Hand held DC34 was a simpler and effective design and never clogged up like this one .Padraic

Bought this to do small pickups after a sweep of the floor, and to clean the car. It's proven handy when doing a bit of DIY around the house, where you can immediately pickup any small debris left from drilling etc. For very quick jobs it's good, but the "standard" power mode is a bit of a joke as it can barely pick up dust let-alone bigger objects like spilled cereal and a bit of dirt. Max power has some decent suction and, with the motorised tool, makes short work of cleaning rugs and carpets, but this only last for around 6 minutes, so again is only good for quick jobs. Like other reviewers, I also had the intermittent power issue, but after following the support video step by step, it started working again – I had cleaned everything else before following the steps, but didn't know about the easy to remove and clean filter. Generally, I find it quite easy to clean and put back together, actually much easier than the dyson cylinder vac (where I have to pull the bin apart to get out the hair). I am a bit torn on this machine, I do like a dyson, and I end up using the handheld on average twice a day, but it could just be a bit better. Given that it is a similar price to the cylinder vac, I was expecting a bit more. A killer feature would be the ability to run it while plugged in – I know this defeats the purpose of the "cordless" handheld, but running out of power when you only have a couple of minutes to go is quite infuriating. This cordless has held it's charge for longer than expected. I used it off and on for miscellaneous cleaning two days in a row. I then thought I'd place it back on the charger, not because it was necessary, but I didn't want to be without it. The one disadvantage is that it has a reusable/ cleanable filter. The dust it filters is so fine that I'd prefer to throw it out and save my allergic reactions for bigger problems.Rlhumble

I would gladly give this a 5 star if it weren't for the fact that the power switch is tough to press. Really have to give it some push to get it 'on'. Otherwise I just LOVE it. Had a Dirt Devil before that lasted for many years, well worth the price. This one is even better as it has the quick flip option and really gets into tight spots well. I purchased the Dirt Devil yesterday for for a friend. I liked how the crevice piece is attached. After I charged the unit, I tried to turn it on. The on/off switch is very difficult to use. My friend has arthritis and I doubt she'll be able to operate this unit on her own. I'd consider keeping it, but I already have a cordless vacuumJane

This dustbuster works great and is just what I needed. The suction on this handheld vaccum is incredibly powerful for being so lightweight. I was able to quickly and easily clean up a huge pile of sugar that spilled all over my kitchen floor. It was much easier and less time consuming than dragging out the vacuum or sweeping. The dustbowl is extra large so it holds alot of debris and is easy to detach and clean out. It works perfectly for picking up all the crumbs and little messes my kids leave behind. It is really great for cleaning out the seats and floors in my van. It's incredibly easy to handle and use. Even my kids are able to use it with ease. The Black and Decker dustbuster® 20V MAX* POWERCONNECT™ Cordless Handheld Vacuum is a handy little powerful vacuum to have around the house. This powerful, handheld vacuum has already made our life easier with four young children. We're in the car often with driving them to school and sports. Having this handheld vacuum so easily accessible has made it so much easier to quickly tidy up our van. Another perk is that my kids love to use it! Any quick clean up on the couch, the stairs, under the table, in the living room, or in their car seat. I ask them to use the handheld vacuum, and they are happy to do it with how easy it is to grab and go. We have tried other handheld vacuums, but this one tops them all in how powerful it is and it's battery life! A wet-dry handheld vacuum I've had for a LONG time finally decided to not work. I searching for a new handheld I came across the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Lithium Ion Cordless Pet Hand Vacuum. Upon reading the various reviews, I decided to give this vacuum a try and man I am glad I did. The powered brush head and good suction works great on our furniture to remove the cat hair from our two long-haired cats, Bella and Sassy Cat. I find the powered roller brush easy to clean. The included attachment fitment into the dust cup is firm, which gives me confidence in the ability for the attachment to stay in place during use. Since parts are available I also bought the dusting brush attachment and an extra brush roll and clip. Thank you for an effective (and good looking) handheld vacuum!Karl

I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage. It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness.. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone. Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don't realize how much you need it until you buy it. I have another Bissel vacuum cleaner as well and overall I am happy with the quality they put into their products. I hope this review helps you in your purchase decision.Gurdeep

The suction of this hand vacuum is FANTASTIC! The attachments work very well as well. My only complaint is that the run time is relatively short compared to the time needed to charge – I get anywhere from 15-30 minutes max on a full charge. I mostly use to vacuum furniture, stair carpet treads, and miscellaneous fur on the wood floors so not a big deal but if you need to do a lot more daily vacuuming with this you may be annoyed by the charge it holds. Review update dropping to 3 stars because the vacuum takes a long time to recharge and you’re lucky to get even 15 minutes. I still think the suction is fantastic.Allie

I bought this product on Friday March the 11th (2022). That night I did a small test run and it worked fine then. Then I left it on the charger for 24 hours! After that I was using it to clean my car, then starts shutting off on me! I keep turning it on and off for while, and it just kept shutting off. I put it on the charger an hour and a half, then used it again, just to have it keep turning off on me again. I’ve charged this 3 times now, This is stupid! I literally just bought this thing! The slim design is nice looking and saves space. It seems like it is a little less noisy than other hand vacs that I own. The suction is adequate – it's great for picking up debris from tiles or wood or linoleum, not so much on carpet. The built in nozzle can be pulled out an inch or so and then widened to increase the size of the cleaning swath. I think that's pretty cool! It also comes with a crevice nozzle and a dust brush. The battery seems to last a good while. I have used it about a dozen times so far, for just a few seconds or maybe a minute or so at a time, and it have only had to charge it once. There is no battery life indicator light so I guess I'll know that it needs a recharge when the motor slows down or the battery just dies. The dirt cup is pretty small so it's not going to hold a ton of debris, but it's great for small messes. The dirt cup is super easy to remove (twist it off) and the filter can be cleaned. I keep this vacuum in my kitchen and it has been terrific for quickly grabbing and sucking up small, dry kitchen messes, and for picking up cat and dog food that my messy animals have dropped in the floor. This dustbuster is great for what it is. I mostly use it in the kitchen and nook area. I use it to clean up crumbs in and around the burners on my gas range, counter tops, table, and chairs. It also works great tackling dry food spills. It is small and light enough for my children to use when they drop cheerios on the rug. Fairly easy to operate with a slide button to power on and off. It is also pretty easy to empty and clear out. The catch is with it being so compact the dirt storage chamber is not very large.KatieCat

Pros: super powerful and works great. Convenient quick flip crevice tool and red stair brush work great together Cons: Overheats really fast and shuts off. Have to wait 30 minutes The cord is not long enough for a full set of stairs unless your outlet is on the stairs. Mine is 3' away and i couldn't get them all without an extention. I want to say it's the most powerful little vacuum I've ever used. I love the power and it does a great job picking up dirt and pet hair. The quick flip crevice tool is great and extremely convenient. And the stairs brush (red attachment) works really well. The black attachment that has bristles seems worthless as the source of the suction is too far from the ground to even collect simple dirt. I got this mainly for my stairs. However the cord is just too short to even do the whole stairway. So you either need an extention cord or you have to unplug half way. I had to do both. It also overheats really quickly, I couldn't even complete the stairs before the thermal protection kicked in. Then you have to wait 30 minutes. I'm never a fan of emptying the canister and cleaning the filter on handheld vacuums, but it seems like a common problem amongst all models I've used. What are you going to do? Wash your hands and prepare to get messy when you empty it because the foam filter will have dirt and hair stuck to it and shaking it will provide you with a lungfull of dirt and get it everywhere. And you will still have to pull the rest off by hand. I recommend emptying it often and using it more often to avoid overheating. Once you feel the unit start to get hot, prepare to have the thermal protection flip and shut off. I would rather that than it burn out the motor or melt the cable. Overall. I'll take this any day over some weak battery operated unit. It's really like a regular vacuum motor stuffed in a handheld unit which is why it overheats. But still. I need something to clean those stairs. I've had to resort to using a broom and this solves that problem. The first time i used it. There was anger because i couldn't complete the stairs in one go. Knowing this, I'll do them more frequently and hopefully it won't overheat. But the extention cord will always make me a little mad.Peege

Solid 4 stars – amazing suction and great brush attachment for getting pet hair off the stairs. The cons: filter is hard to clean off (hair really sticks to it), attachments come off easy during use on stairs/couch, cord is too short (only 15 feet – this isn’t enough to do my full staircase.) Also gives off pretty warm heat during use – sucks when you’re already sweating from working hard cleaning. The last thing I want is hot air blowing on me. My father recommended this Scorpion Hand Vac to me and I couldn’t be happier. I was worried that it wouldn’t be powerful enough for our dogs hair. As many vacuums say they are great for pet hair but just don’t do a good job. I was very pleasantly surprised that it made super quick work cleaning the dog hair out of the carpet on our stairs. It even pulled the hair out of the hard to reach corners. With my past vacuums it would take me about an hour to vacuum and pick the hairs out of the tight corners of my stairs…and they still weren’t clean to my complete satisfaction. The Scorpion Plus cleaned it all up and I was done in less than 10 minutes, heck maybe in 5 minutes. I didn’t even break a sweat. 🤣 I purchased a second one for my daughter for Christmas. I paid $24.99 for this cordless handheld vacuum on sale at last year and can honestly say you won’t find anything better at this price point! My dog takes car rides with me at least 4 times a week; I keep it in my backseat to quickly clean up the shedding. It seems to hold a charge for a while as well! I can’t remember when the last time I charged it was. If I had to improve anything, it would be the nozzle size. It’s not long enough or thin enough to get the hairs from the side areas, between the door and seat. However, I can’t complain at this price! 🙂 The suction is great and cleanup is easy. This little hand vacuum is my favorite thing, I had a older one different model same brand and I thought I loved it but this one is far more superior, my husband tried to swipe it for his garage and I told him I don’t think so mister! I love that it is a 16V and has two power settings, it is sleek looking, the suction neck extends a good amount and the the way it is designed is perfect for getting into tough spaces and against walls and into cracks. You can wash the filter out which is super nice and it keeps a charge for quite a while but also has and indicator to tell you when the battery is running low. My only complaint is that you have to be careful when putting it back in it’s charging dock as the release button can accidentally get pushed and all your dirt falls out but this only happened to me once when I was hurriedly putting it back on the dock, so it is avoidable. Also this model blows from its side and not the back which is an awesome feature for this little vac because the ones that blow from the back and be tricky and blow your dirt around and I don’t have that problem with this hand vac and that makes me happy. All in all I love mine and think it is a perfect little cleaning machine!DarthDamsel

This dustbuster is one strong vacuum and it’s perfect for the home and especially the car. It has an extendable crevice tool that makes it so easy to get in right spots. Especially between the seat and frame of the car or in between the cushions in my couch. This device has a great design. First it’s lightweight and has a see through window that allows you to see all the dirt and know when it’s time to empty. To empty, it’s so easy. Just a simple push of one button and that lid pops open. There’s also a filter inside. You don’t need to replace it, just give it a good cleaning. These two pieces comes apart very easy. I also like the look of the dustbuster. It’s got a sleek look and i got to say it’s attractive. It also comes with a charging dock and screws are even provided so you can mount the dock. Before use it will need a good charge. However, the battery life last a good long time. I’m able to get several days with heavy use without having to keep on the charger. It even has an indicator light letting you know when the battery is running low. This dustbuster is small but it has a powerful suction. It can stand up on a table. It also has a power boost button which makes it have 2 settings. That really really give it a boost if you need a stronger suction. All in all this handheld vacuum was even better then I expected. I love how strong it is and how easy it is to empty, from removing to cleaning the filter super easy and that charging station. It’s handy to have. Has a great build and it’s sturdy and built to last. Reaching under the couch or shelves to vacuum now is a breeze.RavensFan

At first, my wife thought the power was a little weak but I had to remind her that it should at least charge overnight. So we let it charge over night and wow, this little Dirt Devil was awesome! We thought we would wait until we needed it but decided to try it on the couch, which turned into the chairs and then everything else! It had become especially handy chasing our toddler around. Picks up cheerios and cracker crumbs great! We also have two dogs and although we understand this little vacuum may not be rated for pet hair, it does a FANTASTIC job in doing this too. We weren't expecting it too much as a result but again, impressed. We have also used it in the car which is now our go to for that as well. We've vacuumed sand, daily dirt and again, cheerios. Holds a really good charge and doesn't take long to recharge. The only "drawback", according to my wife, is that it doesn't pick up it tight spaces being that the nose of the vaccum is a bit bulky. But, for the price you would pay I would expect it to have accessories. It definitely does the job it was intended to do and I plan on keeping this Dirt Devil handy for both the house and car. I have a much more expensive hand vacuum that I've been using for a few years now and I'm going to replace it with this one. I can't stand how loud my other vacuum is and this one is just as good and much more quiet. I like how light it is and it fits nicely in my hand. I've actually given my 4 and 6 year old kids the thumbs up to use it at will because of how light it is and that has been very helpful for them to be able to clean up some of their own messes. They love it. Otherwise, it's a standard, nice looking hand vacuum that does all the things a small hand vacuum should do. It's easy to clean and it holds an acceptable battery charge length. This isn't going to replace your main household vacuum but it is great for the smaller messes without the hassle of lugging out your big vacuum and takes 2 seconds to pick up, vacuum and put away. There is also a little extender nozzle that I never use and actually pinched my skin when I tried clipping it back into place, not sure if that was my own fault or a design flaw but no big deal either way. Long story short, I like it and it's so cheap that I might buy another couple to keep in each of my cars to keep them clean too.Don P.

I think a vacuum like this is good for a few particular jobs. The biggest thing I noticed was the Battery life is lacking. Suction is okay, not fantastic. It has a decent size debris cup. Handy to always have the crevice ready to use. I took it out to my car after my kids ate churros getting crumbs in the seat. They had also dragged in wet grass clipping a few days before leaving dried grass in the carpet. I vacuumed the seats and boosters first. Then moved to the floor and tracks that the seats glide in. It worked fairly well picking up crumbs, small rocks and dirt. It did not pick up the dried grass clippings very well. The crevice tool worked very well getting in the tracks in the floor. The battery life wasn't enough to finish even finish just the middle row section in my SUV. I feel like that's not a very useful battery span. I would have to have at least 3 full charges to do my midsize 3 row SUV. It worked ok for cleaning between the screens and windows in the house. The crevice tool works very well in getting in the deep cracks in furniture. I have only done 3 charge cycles, so I do not feel like I can review the battery durability. I have other vacuums I use for floor messes, so I don't have a review of that. My 7 year old enjoyed using it, so if you're buying for kids to help out, this could be a good choice. This hand vac made my cleaning days a breeze with an unexpected benefit. We bought it because of the great reviews as a hand held vacuum to take along in the 5th wheel while on vacation. It turns out it's the perfect fit for our 4 sets of stairs! I have spent years trying to find the best home vac to make this stair cleaning chore easier, so this unexpected benefit of the Eufy was enough to make me write this review. We bought the middle model with the motorized brush attachment. I highly recommend this hard worker if you have carpeted stairs. What a game changer!Dee D.

Overall, I really like this hand held vacuum cleaner. I have been constantly using this product for a week now and I absolutely love it. I basically use this product to clean my sofa, table, kitchen and even carpet floor since my apartment is considered small. I am very satisfied with this product and below is my honest review on this product. If u are looking to buy a small size vacuum cleaner, I definitely recommend this Eufy H30 vacuum cleaner. Pros: -Easily maneuverable -Powerful suction power . Really great at getting everywhere and everything (except obvious big chunks and wet food even a broom would smear/that needs hand picking up. It has more suction power than any other handheld vacuum I have used before. And I was surprised and happy to see a cup full of dog hair when I used the mini motorzied brush to clean my sofa. -Easy charge. It has a very convenient charging station with a small footprint. Just drop the vacuum into the slot in the charger and it will be ready for the next mess. -Great customer support. I used to have eufy Robovac, and eufy's customer support always answers my inquiries patiently and helps me replace it when I encounter product problems, so their attitude towards H30 is the same. Cons: -I want to get one more battery so I can use it to clean the second floor. When I contacted eufy customer support, they told me that there is no rechargeable battery at the moment and I need to wait. The box looks stylish and technological. I plan to buy it for my mother during Christmas. In conclusion. Buy this. Buy it for your spouse, your friend or yourself. It's gold!Super J.

I was gifted this Dustbuster by a family member and I love it! I have dogs and cats so I'm constantly trying to clean up their hair from everywhere. This has made my cleaning easier and faster. This works great on my stairs in-between the banisters, around my fireplace and by my sliding glass doors. The special head gets all the hair off my furniture with ease. I really like the one touch empty system so I'm not getting my hands dirty. The battery charge really lasts through my cleaning routine. It just stopped working. I’ve had it less than a year and I thought maybe it wasn’t fully charged each time I went to use it. So I made a point of trying to fully charge, it turns on and then shuts off immediately. I’ve had for a while but truly I use once a month mostly to just suck up crumbs in my couch. In the year I’ve had it, it worked well the first two or so times. I’m pretty disappointed.Lucy B

I absolutely love Black & Decker, but this handheld vacuum was average for me. It does pick up but you have to take your time with it. The suctioning isn't very powerful with this one. However, this would be great if it had a little more suction power. The battery life is excellent, it last for quite a while, a good couple of hours. I will say it is rather noisy, that's another thing I'd like to see redone. I do like how it comes with the brush head that you can pull up or down to help pick things up. It is very light weight, I don't have any issues there, it doesn't hurt my hand while using. There is a button on top to push that pulls the bottom piece off to empty and clean it. The filter is kept where you empty the container, very easy to pull apart and clean. However it does get dirty easy, any little bit of dirt will cause this to not suction as good. So it will need cleaned pretty frequently. Overall, it's alright, something to maybe keep for in the car. But I'd love to see the suction a little more powerful to pick up better, and the noise reduced some. I also probably wouldn't recommend, over one of their other vacuums.Peachy

I love this vacuum! I have a toddler, a cat, and a dog that I’m constantly having to follow around and clean up little messes. I got so sick of dragging my full-size vacuum out for one mess of goldfish smashed into the carpet so I invested in this handheld vacuum and it was the best idea ever! It has 2 suction speeds an extendable nozzle to get in hard to reach places so it really cleans up what I need it to fast effectively! I also love that it’s cordless. Love the pull out extension nozzle for easy reach into corners and around furniture or when cleaning out the car. The two speed on/off button is also very convenient. It is light weight and easy to clean and store on the charging base. I have owned many B&D Dustbusters over the years and this model is much quieter than all the others. A wet-dry handheld vacuum I've had for a LONG time finally decided to not work. I searching for a new handheld I came across the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Lithium Ion Cordless Pet Hand Vacuum. Upon reading the various reviews, I decided to give this vacuum a try and man I am glad I did. The powered brush head and good suction works great on our furniture to remove the cat hair from our two long-haired cats, Bella and Sassy Cat. I find the powered roller brush easy to clean. The included attachment fitment into the dust cup is firm, which gives me confidence in the ability for the attachment to stay in place during use. Since parts are available I also bought the dusting brush attachment and an extra brush roll and clip. Thank you for an effective (and good looking) handheld vacuum!Karl

I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage. It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness.. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone. Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don't realize how much you need it until you buy it. I have another Bissel vacuum cleaner as well and overall I am happy with the quality they put into their products. I hope this review helps you in your purchase decision.Gurdeep

We bought this to replace our stand up vacuum since most of our floors are hard. We also use it for minor spills or dirt tracked in a specific spot. I'm surprised at how well this vac works. Most of my tools are Milwaukee, so I think I know quality. For what we paid for this, it works great. It is not hard on batteries, picks up debris well and the attachments are handy. Only two criticisms, one is that the extensions/attachments are not compatible with similar diameter shop vac or stand up vacuum attachments. This means I can't extend the wand or use tools I have from other vacs. The second is that I wish the wand was a little bit longer. I'm 5' 10" and if I have to vacuum the whole house, my back hurts a little from being slightly bent over. My wife is shorter and does not have the issue. However, if I could add one more extension from another vac,…… Or if Bauer sold the attachments separately as well, that would help.Jack

This vacuum uses a flap to hold contents inside the canister. Dust and other items can leak out if you use it for dust/debris around the house. Since they include tools for the floor and crevices, I think it can be marketed as for home use as well. It’s poor in that regard often leaking over the place. It is great for shop use. Clean up small things quickly. Good for using in cars. Run time isn’t crazy but Dyson’s products suck too. (eh, vacuums) 4/5 because it works well but isn’t great around the house and small dust makes it way into the motor area.Luke

I got this as a Christmas present from my dad and it's a great handy vacuum for small jobs. I use it mostly in the house to vacuum up some of the areas my robot vacuum can't reach since its a lot better than my old Bissell standup on hard floors. Plenty of power, but it burns through batteries FAST. It took my fully charged 3.0ah down in about 15 minutes. I really don't suggest using the 1.5ah at all. I'll probably pick up the 5.0ah just for this thing. Only other complaint is how small the dust bin is. It looks big, but the filter section takes up a huge part of the interior space. It's worth it for intermittent use on small jobs which, for all intents and purposes, WAS what it was made for, so it is a good value.Dan
