The Bissell Pet Stain Eraser Cordless Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner comes packaged with the cleaner unit, wall charger and 2-8oz bottles of Bissell Professional Spot & Stain with OXY cleaning solutions. Once I removed everything from the packaging I read the enclosed user guide thoroughly, which is simple to read and understand. I charged the cleaner completely before attempting to use, on top of the cleaner there is a battery status indicator light, when all 3 blue small square lights are lit up that indicates a full charge which took roughly 3-4 hours. Located on the top of the cleaner is a removable formula tank reservoir, which personally I felt was somewhat awkward to remove, but easy to reattach. Located on the underside is the dirty water tank reservoir which removes very easily by a release button. With a family of 5, a cat and dog living in the house there is always some small mess to clean up on the carpet, and who has time to drag out the full size time consuming carpet cleaner for these type of small messes, this is where the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser is ideal. I simply remove the formula reservoir fill to the full line with cleaning solution and reattach, press the power button on, tilt up the very lightweight cleaner on a slight angle over the stain and press the spray trigger to saturate the stain without over wetting it. I then use the attached bristled scrub brush to scrub over the spot thoroughly, then pull the cleaner backwards numerous times to suck up all the dirty solution. I also check to make sure the dirty water does not exceed the full line on the dirty water reservoir tank, when I'm finished I remove that tank with the release button, pull out the attached drain plug disposing of the dirty water and rinse along with the formula tank, front nozzle and bristle cleaning brush which also can be removed easily with just clean water. Completely satified with the results each of the 3 times I have used it thus far.mistress4paws

The box is very eye catching and has a lot of information on it about the product. When you first open the box you'll see the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser, then charger under it, to the right side is sample size bottles of cleaner. The instructions are highly recommended to be read by everyone before using this product. This is easy to clean carpet, upholstery, stairs, area rugs, auto interiors, and more with the cordless convenience of the Pet Stain Eraser. I was so happy to receive this and learn more about using it. I never knew how convent it could possibly be before owning this one. I have stains on the interior of my escape and now I can clean it with ease. This will help so much with instantly and permanently removing tough pet stains and odors with the Professional Spot and Stain plus Oxy cleaning solution. It even comes with a bottle of it so no having to rush to the store and buy some right away. You can just pour this in the machine and be ready to go with in minutes. All I did was filled the tank and set about getting the areas ready, I vacuumed both spots first, then I turned then bissell pet stain eraser on by pressing down on the button on the handle, pulled the trigger to release the cleaner and let the cleaner do its thing and sit for about 5 mins, came back turned then bissell pet stain eraser back on, went about sucking up the mess just like the big one by pressing down and pulling towards me to suck up the excess water( it was dirty). It worked and so far I love everything about it. I have dogs which one is a older husky and the other is an older Chihuahua and this has been perfect for cleaning my furniture and where the pets get and lay. It is also been great for just cleaning up a spill from one of the children on the carpets or rug. They seem to want to pour everything at the fridge so my carpet is easily spilled upon a lot. My teenage son can easily use it, so it helps him with his cleaning up after himself. Less work on me in those times when he actually wants to use it and clean some. I have noticed if he happens to spill the tea or juice he will use it as he quickly learned that becomes sticky due to the sugar in the drinks itself. Don't need to leave that mess and have a bigger problem later with possibly ants coming in the house. This is Bissel Pet Stain Eraser is made very well. It's been very durable, held up well each time we have used it and should last a long time with proper cleaning after using and long term caring of the product itself. Now you can't just do what needs to be done and not clean it then expect it to last a while. It doesn't work like that because the next time it's still dirty. Be sure to clean it throughly after each use. It's light weight, easy to hold on to, easy to carry with you to different areas that need to be cleaned and just so easy to use and don't take long at all to use it. I personally love that it can be charged and then used cordless, that's a wonderful feature for our family. The cordless part helps a lot when I'm not close to an electrical socket and having to work and trying not to trip over cords. The cordless way is so much simpler and easier on everyone. I think the price of it is perfect for how well it works and how easy it is to use. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something that really works well on stains, etc. no it doesn't just have to be pet stains. I'm telling you it works for all stains around the house. The quicker you can clean them up after they occur the better the outcome. I have realized this when using it but it also works on other other older stains as well just in my opinion not as well as new fresher ones. I would buy another in the future. I love the intended use for the product, but I have 2 major issues with it. House training a pup you're going to expect accidents and that it when a product like this is a lifesaver; however, when walking around with the carpet cleaner it leaks and it leaks everywhere. The bottom chamber was designed poorly. The black flap isn't watertight, so when you move, the nasties inside move too. You need to clean the backseat of your car? Don't even think about using this. You can't hit angles, just back and forth. Juices leak from the vents on the side and from the bottom chamber and when it gets into the vents it STINKS and it sticks for a long time. It's been months since I accidentally tilted the cleaner and it still smells. You're better off getting a portable little green machine from them. This works, but is not built for every mess. You're very limited to what you can se this item for.Beagle

Bought this product to help with pet messes and spills. Machine worked great at first when I purchased it then after a while it lost suction. I returned it three times while under warranty. It would work for a while then lose suction again. I asked for a refund and they refused since my 90 days was over. I wanted to get it serviced and they would never give me the address for repair they kept saying find a local repair shop. The closest one is over 50 miles away from my house. The fact that this rug cleaner picks up pet hair is fabulous since most rug shampooers get caught on a lot of hair which interferes with how well they clean. When the rug gets spotted by my pet, after I clean it the odor remains noticeable to my pet. This has caused my pet to use the same area again and again. Therefore, it is necessary to totally remove any smell this pet can locate in the future. The Stain and Odor Cleaner and 2X suction of the Rug Doctor successfully eradicated all the odor so my pet’s strong sense of smell could not detect anything anymore. First, I worked on eradicating the stain that has been long-lasting. It consists of a dull, tan or light brownish area like a path from dirty shoes. I have scrubbed it with brushes and baking soda, used a dry carpet cleaner, and shampooed it with a carpet shampoo machine. Yet, the stain stayed permanently embedded in the carpet. I am always uneasy using carpet shampooers because I do not want my floor to break down and need to be replaced. My subflooring is particle board which cannot tolerate water. With the Rug Doctor Dual Action Pet Tool, I found I was easily able to control how much wetness came out of the Rug Doctor tool. By lightly pressing the soap trigger and releasing it as soon as the rug was wettened, there was not a large amount of water to soak below the carpet. The carpet did get fairly wet though from the soap and water solution. The backing on the carper is rubberized, so hopefully this kept the particle board from becoming overly dampened. This is my main concern when cleaning my carpet. I thought suds would come out the soap nozzle when I pressed the soap trigger. That was not the case. The watery soap solution came out so I had to trust it would not quickly soak below the carpet when I had to leave it on for five minutes as the directions said. I cut the five minutes down to three and was prepared to repeat the cleaning later if it still was necessary. Then, I used the Pet Tool to pull the dampness out of the rug and the 2X suction worked superbly well. In fact, the wetness in my carpet was removed so much, the carpet felt nearly dry to the touch after going over the whole area several times where I had sprayed. I got paper towels to blot it to remove any remaining wetness. To my great surprise, the paper towels hardly got wet at all. There were slight damp areas on the paper towels and a lot of the paper was practically dry. I never have had paper towels stay so dry when patting down the carpet after I had washed it with a sponge or shampoo cleaned it. So, my impression of the Rug Doctor Pet Portable Spot Cleaner is, I believe it is excellent. They took into consideration how much it might need to be used and how to leave the carpet, floor, and subflooring undamaged as well. The strong suction only pulls up along a thin gap across the entire front of the tool, not the whole head of the tool. So, it is strong but does not pull threads out of the carpet at all. The rest of the tool head combs the carpet to help the moisture and hairs come out. This machine is also great when the baby and little kids have an accident. I finally feel reassured that I can clean my carpet as many times as I need to and keep it clean all the time. The Pet Stain and Odor Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner worked better than any other and it is the only kind I will ever use in this machine as per the directions. It worked very fast and where it touched a spot of wood floor next to the rug, the floor became clean in a minute and looks wonderful. This is a truly professional product for home use.Maureen

I just tried if after waking up to a present from my cat. it was reddish food on beige carpeting. it got it right up with no issues. then tried a few more older spots and it even helped with them. it looks like you better not wrap the hose back up on the machine to try to prevent it from kinking. ez to empty. it appears a lot of water doesnt come back into the tank but i found it didnt take long to dry. i dont like how the spray of the cleaning fluid comes from the rear underneath but you get used to it.todd

I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos prior to purchasing this. So disappointed. Pros: Looks cute. It did remove a chocolate stain from my upholstered chair. Cons: It left an ugly water ring, so now it looks like I spilled something on the chair. I tried to clean it again the next day, and cleaned the whole seat of the chair instead of just the spot in hopes it would even out the color. Nope. Still there. The unit also leaked water as I carried it and where it sat on the floor. Also, the dirty bucket container never filled. I really hope I can get a refund. I've already lost a chair.BBB Customer

The Hover PowerDash GO Pet + Spot Cleaner is a handy tool for easy pet mess cleanups. It is compact and stores nicely. It is great for spot cleaning like the name implies, it's even good for larger jobs if it is all that you have. The cord is a bit short, but again great for small jobs. Upholstery cleaning is a chore I don't enjoy so don't do often, I was amazed at the amount of yuck it removed from my ottoman, and pleased with the fresh scent it left behind. The included instructions could have been more informative but I managed to figure things out. The attachments are easy to install, remove, and clean. The hose is not easily removable, you have to unscrew a part from the bottom of the unit to get it off. I wanted to rinse it out before storing but it felt like too much work. The dirty tank holds quite a bit and is super easy to clean when you're done. It seams to leave a lot of moisture behind and I had to turn the suction off to scrub. My ottoman is puffy and soft so it was hard to get a good clean without the solution getting sucked out. I have an elderly dog and have been hand scrubbing pee spots for quite a while, I thought I was doing a good job but I was so wrong. This spot cleaner really gets the mess out and leaves your carpet fresh. I would definitely recomend the Hoover Power Dash GO Pet + Spot Cleaner to anyone with pet messes, it really does a great job. First off this works great for cleaning up small messes and stains before they set. It is not a carpet cleaner which is what most complaints I have read talk about. This Spot cleaner does exactly what it says. We have been using this spot cleaner for about a month and have had no complaints. It has strong suction and the pet scrubber it comes with works great when dealing with both messes from our kids and from our pets. We have 3 kids 2 cats and a dog. The one reservation I had when I first got this my biggest concern was the lack of a fresh water reservoir. I soon found that for a majority of messes it is not needed. The carpet cleaning formula that came with it does a great job of releasing the stains and smells. I have cleaned up pet and kid urine, vomit, and spilled drinks. A couple of times I have needed some fresh water but all I did was take a cup of hot water to soak the spot with. The Hoover spot cleaner has a large dirty water reservoir and handle this just fine. Another thing I have really liked about using this cleaner is the spots dry much faster as there is much less liquid used in the cleanup. We keep this primarily in the car which works great as it is small in size and can run off our power inverter really well. They really did a great job with this one. It is very sturdy and well built and everything comes apart to clean. The biggest problem I have had in the past is not being able to open the dirty water compartment up completely to clean. It ends up stinking and growing things. With this one the top opens completely and I just put it in the dishwasher. The scrubbing and sucking head comes apart as well. It also seems like it uses a whole lot of product with so little sprays as well. Over-all – I am impressed with the job it does although there are some things i’m certain could be done better. This thing is terrible. It leaks randomly. My husband is basically an engineer and can fix anything and make anything work but we still can’t get this thing to work consistently without leaking. We use the correct fluid, we make sure we’re holding it at the correct angle, and we make sure the tank is correctly seated. It leaks 4 out of 5 times we use it, and it can’t be stored with clean solution in the tank because it’ll slowly drain out. Here’s how I’ve been using it: I hold it in my right hand and I hold a thick pile of paper towels in my left hand. I cradle the belly of the machine with the paper towels while using it, so they can catch the inevitably leaky wastewater. Then, I finish cleaning the spot and hold the machine upright, holding that pile of paper towels under the machine, and jog to the kitchen in hopes of getting to the sink before the paper towels become saturated and drip onto the floor. Then, I dump and rinse everything. Lastly, I place the unit on another fresh pile of paper towels on my kitchen floor, where I leave it for at least 24 hours because I can’t put it away until it finishes leaking and then dries, otherwise it will soak the floor on which I place it. It does have good suction and it’s nicely compact. The battery also lasts for many uses (we’re just cleaning up small spills). Ultimately, the leaking is its only problem, but it’s a BIG problem. This product did what it was supposed to do. Clean the stains The problem I had with this product was that it was very heavy and bulky, making it difficult to clean in most spots. Trying to scrub with the underbrush was difficult and at times I found it easier to grab a different brush to be able to scrub the ground. The charging time/using time was also very upsetting. Having to charge this device for 4 hours to only get 15 minutes of use was frustrating. Along with the 15 minutes of use, I did not like the fact that the formula sprayer only worked when the product was turned on which cut into the 15 minutes of use. I would often find myself grabbing a spray bottle to be able to use instead of the attached spray system. Overall this product was okay, but I would rather save up and grab something that is lighter and that has a hose for those "Harder" to reach spotsAndrewR

Spray function is weak and takes effort to even trigger. We now just spray or wet the carpet directly. Also, this thing is sloppy. Barely picks up the liquid, but rather “smooshes” it around with the larger surface area that’s in contact with the carpet. We end up dripping liquid everywhere when lifting the vacuum. The reservoir also needs three hands to get it off if your hands aren’t big enough to grasp and pull the reservoir off with one hand while the other is pressing the release. Two stars because I guess it picks up SOME liquid, but honestly it’s a pain. Not sure we can still return it.th07

This was the perfect product for me to review. I have two toddlers and a 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog who can be messy and has marking his territory in the house lately! My kids both have little Lazy-Boy type chairs that are covered in a cloth material and my dog has peed on both of them. I've always wanted to use a carpet shampooing vacuum on them but that was impossible.. until I received this! It's very easy to use and so light and easy to carry around. I like that there's a scrub brush built right into the attachmentments. I love that there's a regular and an extra small attachment to get into small areas. The surface stains, like the area of the seat that looked dirty, only took one slow pass to show a really noticeable difference! Other areas, like pen marks or the arms that looked dirty didn't come out right away but I didn't expect them too. It's normal that some areas will need to be spot treated beforehand. The chair no longer smells like dog urine at all! That's the hard part is getting the smell out, especially when it goes down deep. The chairs were only minimally wet after we were done. The vacuum has a self-cleaner on it that's really easy to use, which I love! Overall, I think this vacuum is a big success, especially when I look up the price and see it's under $200. It's not a professional grade cleaner but it also doesn't cost nearly as much as one. We will definitely get a lot of use out of this vacuum. I would recommend it to anyone that has animals or even small kids and I would purchase this myself. I can't wait to use it in my car!Stacey

I bought this upholstery cleaner specifically for the wide attachment. I needed this to clean large areas like my couches, rugs, and car. First time I used it it worked fairly well but I had to go over with a few passes. For the rugs I shampooed them first and this tool worked great on those! The problem when I tried to use it the second time—water leaked everywhere. And I don’t mean a little bit of water, it was enough that I got worried it would have ruined my floor and used large towels in a panic to clean it up. By that point the return window had passed for it and now I’m stuck with an expensive machine that I can’t use indoors. I still use it outside for my rugs because the water leaking isn’t an issue there. Coming to write a review and reading all the positive ones I thought maybe mine was just bad luck. However, searching it on google a lot of other people had issues with water leaking from the back. Consider taking the promotional reviews with a grain of salt here.Esmeralda

I’ve never had an upholstery cleaner and was debating which one to get. I like this one, seems to clean well. However, novices need to read this: no matter which cleaner you get, spot cleaning may cause water marks on your furniture. After cleaning my pieces, they look worse than before, because I spot cleaned rather than cleaning the whole thing. This may be because I have white furniture but if you clean one area of a dirty chair, that area will be cleaner/lighter and make the rest look dingy. I’m super bummed, all my upholstery looks much worse after cleaning it. I wish I had never cleaned it to begin with. Again, this is absolutely no fault of Hoover. The machine worked well and cleaned well. Moral of the story- clean the ENTIRE piece of furniture to avoid patchy areas. Other thoughts: – I thought the tough scrubber head would ruin my upholstery but it didn’t seem to – good suction (though you need the entire vacuum head to connect with something to maintain suction, so suction doesn’t really work if you are trying to do a thin chair arm that doesn’t allow you to press the whole head down against the fabric). – the hose cleaner is a nice feature – it does seem to clean well – the cleaning solution sprayer is spotty, not like a regular spray bottle. You could always use a regular spray bottle, it would just take a long time to get it damp enough to vacuum up.Natalie

This carpet cleaner is a lifesaver! It has powerful suction and a fast deep cleaning brush roll. It's small, lightweight and versatile size make it the perfect little machine for small messes like accidentally spilling grape juice on your home's carpets, or a chocolate milk mishap all over your car's back seat. It also looks super cool and high tech with its angular black on grey on blue design. It is also very ergonomic with its easy to hold and comfortable handle. The handle is also made out of grippy rubber so you wont accidentally drop it. The brush roll housing is also tilted a bit so instead of squatting down or sitting to clean up a mess you can just bend your knees down just a little bit to use this machine. Although that may vary depending on your height. It does an exceptional job cutting through some tough messes and the included formula smells great and makes sure that Mr. Grape Juice Stain is gone for good! My model also came with a stationary pet mess brush head which is great for more stubborn messes like stuck in mud or yesterday's strawberry ice cream spill that you may or may have not forgotten to clean up. I just so happened to use this handy dandy machine and the included pet mess brush head for both of these situations and both stains came out in a jiffy! The included charger is great and the battery life is also good albeit for small and quick messes. I love my little Bissell Pet Stain Eraser and it is a life and a back saver because you no longer have to pull out your Big Green to clean up a small apple juice spill. I got this machine to replace my tried-and-true SpotBot portable carpet cleaner. I loved how there was no hose on this model vs. the SpotBot. I learned after my very first use that it was a mistake to get this machine. It leaks cleaning fluid all over everything and has incredibly poor suction. Very little dirty fluid is sucked up into the dirty fluid reservoir and instead continues to saturate my carpet. I have to haul my full sized carpet cleaner to clean up what this machine doesn't. Initially I thought maybe it was user error that was causing the machine not to do as advertised but after re-reading the manual and following the directions exactly I realized that this is just a faulty and terribly designed piece of equipment. Do yourself a favor and NOT buy this machine. It only causes more mess and frustration. I will say that the formula seems to work well, especially in my full sized carpet cleaner.Bri

I have owned 3 of these. First one lasted a little less than 2 years then where the bottom screws into the the upper half. The plastic screw holders broke from the weight of carrying it around. It couldn’t be fixed without change the whole housing. So I bought another one thinking it may be a flaw. Before the 1 year warranty went out same thing happened. I called and told them what had happened and they sent another one as it couldn’t be fixed. Seems to be a common problem. Upon getting the new one again not even 1 year and again same thing, but now because the original purchase was not quite 2 years the warranty was over. So at that point I decided I would try something else because it is a bad design and cheap plastic holding it together. I then went to Rug doctor portable spot cleaner. I had it for 4 years and have only had to replace the spray nozzle and still going strong. I stay away from Brissell now. It seems to be made to last just until the warranty is up then break and can’t be fixed.Dale Land

Very disappointed with this item. It does clean cat messes but not dirt from carpet. Also, what is in the box is not what is pictured on the front of the box. The brush attachment shown is black with a clear front adn 3 rows of red bristles, actual attachment is all clear and has only ONE row of bristles. The attachment is also supposd to have a button to release if from the hose. There is NO button! You cannot remove it unless you pry it off with a screwdriver! The box shows a button and the instructions also show a button. You are supoosed to remove the attachment & hook the hose to the machine to run water through but you can't take the attachment off so you can't clean it. Using a screwdriver to pry it is going the break the cheap plastic attachment. I did try to contact Hoover but the bot said it was too busy and booted me off. When purchasing anything I expect to receive what is pictured on the box not some other cheap junk. Disappointed!!DawnyLouWho

Love this wet vac! We just got a new puppy and the only handheld wet vacs like the discontinued Bissell we had in the past are impossible toclean. They don’t come apart like they need to. This Hoover is bigger, but just as portable and does a MUCH better job than the handhelds. It was super easy to set up, and I can’t believe how easy it is to clean after use. The hose cleaning feature is phenomenal and is one of the main reasons I got this over the Bissell Little Green Machine. Well worth the investment to keep my carpets clean while puppy learns how to comply with socially acceptable bathroom norms. Walmart delivered promptly and had this in stock which wasn’t the case with a couple of other vendors.Jackie

I have owned this unit for 5 years after previously owning a Bissel Little Green Machine (the Bissel nosel stopped spraying after a couple years, and unit would constantly leak). About a year ago I noticed it was getting more difficult to place the handle back in the holder (the hose did not stretch as far as it used to). I didn't think much of it, but then. Few months ago I noticed that the hose tore near the sprayer. I loved using this machine, therefore I wanted to try fixing it without having to buy another one. I used hockey tape and that seemed to do the trick. Then about a month ago, I noticed that the hose has also torn right at the base (I am unable to fix this with tape unfortunately). I wrote Hoover about this, however, I am far out of warranty, so there isn't really much they can do. Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one or try something new. I noticed another customer also had the same problem with the hose tearing, so obviously my issue is not isolated.Kryss

After 2 weeks of use, I'm impressed. This looks stylish enough to plug in and just leave it out of the way in the kitchen (or wherever you prefer). It was surprisingly powerful and pleasantly quiet. The two speeds is a nice touch as well. My only critique is that the cover on the suction head going into the dust case is just a rubber flap that was just slid into a slot without being solidly attached to anything. This meant that it would sometimes come out of position either part way or totally. I liked this enough though that I wasn't going to let that be a deal breaker, so with a couple drops of Gorilla Glue it is now solidly anchored and I haven't had an issue since. Overall I definitely recommend this product.Tex81

The IRIS Portable Vacuum cleaner is a great choice for a portable vacuum, but it heavily depends on what you're looking for. For a dust-picker-upper, this device works absolute wonders. Being able to quickly uplift a place without plugging a single thing in is an absolute must have for me now. I make rugs in my freetime, and one of the reasons I wanted this item was to swipe up and clean little chunks of yarn off the floor quickly while I'm working. It works in that sense, where it's easy to clean those chunks up, but it fills up EXTREMELY fast. Generally it's not a problem for me, but it may be for others who don't want to constantly go to the trash can to empty the portable vacuum. The only other problem I've been running into is the battery life. In my unit, a charge only lasts about 15-20 minutes of constant use. Again, depending on your use for the vacuum, this may be what you're looking for, but the battery life is extremely essential to me. In all, the portable vacuum is an excellent choice depending on what you're looking for out of it, but it just wasn't the best choice for me.jackh

I know, who could love a vacuum? But it's true, I do! It's sleek, doesn't take up too much space, not heavy or awkward to use, attachments work great, and charges quickly. Now let me get to it, if you have a child in a car seat you NEED this. We all know how messy kids can be with their car snacks and maybe their car seat has seen better days. With this I had my son's seat looking great in just a couple minutes. The crevice tool made quick work of the crumbs stuck in the tight corners and lining of the padding. My home is all hardwood flooring so it's also nice to just use to "spot vacuum" when I don't feel like breaking out the big vacuum to get a few crushed crackers. Like I said, kid equal crumbs. Do yourself a favor and get it.Alex814

Ok, so I see the reviews and I can say I personally have owned 1 of the Bissell Revolutions 2x whatever cleaning power and I was satisfied (extremely satisfied as it still runs). I have a black lab and a long haired cat and I live in the country. We have absolutely no concrete or asphalt surrounding our house, and live by the coast so our dirt is probably about 30-40% sand, so tracking mud and sand is frequent in our home. I still have the Bissell (no complaints there), however I clean mine everytime after I use it and vacuume very very thoroughly before I shampoo with my shark navigator (that I am also very very happy with). The thing with all carpet cleaners is the way you treat them. You can't just vacuume once briefly then expect the shampooer to not pick up hair clumps. Do this: vacuume the area until you think u did good, then empty the vacuume and do it again. If you pick up no hair, use the shampooer. If you keep vacuuming up hair, then keep vacuuming until you basically aren't picking up hair, then you will not have issues with your shampooer. I just got the Hoover Powerdash (I got a super good deal for $20 from a garage sale brand new in box never used so I figured why not, my Bissell isn't a pet model so this will be good to try) and am writng this review in response to all the negative recent reviewers I see just because they are having so many of the same issues with clumped hair and leaks.. First off, don't leave your shampooer with dirty water, and it won't leak. Also, don't leave solution in it or simply store the resiviour separately so you won't have leaks either. These machines mainly use gravity to apply solution, possibly with the assist of a small pump like device that might be powered by the belt rotation to feed water (which is great, never have to replace an actual pump) so if you leave solution or dirty water stored in the resiviors, your bound for issues. It's all common sense, if you expect to just leisurely vacuume and have your shampooer do all the rest, then hire a pro. If your willing to take the correct steps in maintaining and shampooing your carpets to remove grime, these are for you.
One lady stated she's owned 12 of the exact 1 that I own (which is I'm assuming for a business or a friggin mansion) so not sure what she's doing wrong but I guarantee the problem is operator error. Especially if she's having the same issues with the same shampooer that I have never seen, unless of course she's overusing them when she shoulda got a commercial cleaner for whatever she needs 12 of these things. I use mine about 15-20 times per year for the past 2 or 3 years and don't have issues. This is for residential use, if taken care of they will last. One last thing, clean your shampooer directly after use, I take mine out front and rinse it on our gravel driveway, being careful to only lightly spray the nozzle and brush assembly, keeping water away from the motor. This will ensure a clean start next session, and is a hell of a lot easier than cleaning clumped up dirt and hair that's caked up and dried solid before u even get to shampooing and even better for the machine instead of just flat out not cleaning at all and burning out the motor due to naglagence and poor maintenance. Use your head people, these are designed to clean what dry vacumes can't, not vacume up hair and remove grime at once. You need to remove a majority of the hair and then these come in and remove everything else just fine. Plain and simple.
Tip: make your own solution using a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent or dish soap and whatever essential oil fragrance you like (orange or grapefruit recommended). Search online for the correct amounts of ingredients for your needsTyler D

this cleans pretty well. Much better than my big Spin Scrub Hoover. This tiny little thing has the right kind of brushroll to pick up the carpet fibers and sweep off the dirt. It has good suction. Traffic areas get matted or compressed so they need the brushroll. What makes it a problem, is that the dirty water reservoir has very limited capacity so it only cleans about a 3×3 foot area before it is too full. That is, in a high traffic area. It might clean a slightly larger area if you are only lightly cleaning invisible dirt. I think the mechanism senses SUDS and freaks out and quits suctioning, and it also let a large amount of sudsy water leak out on my hardwood floor next to my carpet, without warning. If it's not very sudsy, it won't leak so bad, just a little, when full. so i had to empty this dirty water tank 3x on a 2.5x 8 foot hall carpet with low pile. . Not cool. Definitely ONLY for small areas as i said above. I was attracted to the bigger more expensive ones of this style that have 2 brush rolls and much larger capacity, and wider cleaning path. I will probably have to get one of those, as this one won't work well for a regular sized room, even just the traffic areas.lexy

Initially bought to clean carpet from when my pup was sick and tried to hide downstairs in the only part with carpet when she wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, that liquid sat into the carpet without knowing for a while. This carpet cleaner took care of that and then some ! I LOVE the feature that it has heat to help dry the carpet so you can basically walk onto it right after. I’ve had my basement get water in it after a storm and I was able to also use this to suck up all the water out of the carpet. It saved us from having to replace the baseboards/carpet. I understand it is compact so it’s not really meant to clean your entire house of carpet. The bin gets full quickly with the dirty fluids. The unit isn’t heavy like a commercial use which could be an issue if you have thick/deep carpet. It’s easily disassembled for cleaning of hair in the brush. I did notice when sucking up water from the thick carpets constantly to save us from flooding it was almost as if I could start to smell the belt running hot. In that case I tried my best to wait longer between vacuuming. I’d recommend this to anyone. 4.5 stars only for unit capacity is slightly not enough for my liking.kelsey.k

Decent vacuum overall. I bought the one with the pet attachment and unfortunately the attachment already broke. Needless to say it will be returned. The battery life is pretty weak. It’s definitely not as good as I was expecting. The filter seems to get quite full. I suppose that’s not a bad thing but it looks cheaply made. They actually recommend you replace every few months or depending on how much you use it. If the pet attachment didn’t break I would hang onto this but I have not even had it 2 weeks and it’s already falling apart. I thought the pet attachment worked good before it broke and the extended nose was nice for tight places and easier on the back.Brizzo

The LittleGreen ProHeat deep cleaner was recommended to me by my mom for getting those little messes out of carpets and rugs. I got mine in March of this year and it was doing its job, other than a brush popping off the end of one of the hose attachments (an easy enough fix with some glue). I was happily using the machine about once a week just to touch up around the house, with the occasional bigger spot that needed a couple of tries to come all the way clean. Then, about three weeks ago, I was a little confused about why the dirty water tank didn't seem to be getting fuller. On closer inspection, I found that the hose had developed a sizable hole in one of the creases. The machine is outside of Target's return period and Bissell customer service has been completely unresponsive. For an item I got just a few months ago that is being used regularly, but not heavily, this is an unfortunate turn from being a product I liked to one that I simply cannot recommend.Lane

I purchased online & hoped to do curbside pickup. My local store didn’t have it on hand but shipping looked like it would only take a day or two so I opted to have it shipped. We’ll about 4 hours later (maybe less) it was delivered to my front door. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. What amazing service. My first trial run of the unit was on a bench. I very briefly pre-treated the surface. Then I followed the instructions to spray while scrubbing. I didn’t put a lot of time or huge effort into it. The results are really great and I’m sure they would be even better if I let the pre-treatment soak for longer than 2 minutes. After I cleaned my bench, I could not believe how filthy the water that I suctioned from the bench was. I will be using and loving this little machine a lot!!! It was really easy to assemble and get started. I think I’ll get better at judging how to pre-treat stains and how to scrub. But for a first try using it & doing with almost no effort. I’m ashamed at how filthy my bench was and glad I have something like this on hand to clean with.kcgCLT

I Would Return This If I Could. I Started Out Good, Cleaning My Car Seat, A Spill On My Couch Etc. It Works Ok, But What I Did Not Expect Was That I Needed To Push A Lot Harder Than Expected. This Is Not A Machine That Does The Work For You. You Do All The Work, And The Handles Feel Really Flimsy. The Hose Is Also Made Of Hard Plastic. There Is No Wiggle To It. The Hose Is Also Incredibly Short, Which I Had Read But Wanted To See If It Was A Big Deal. It Is. It Also Leaks From The Bottom, So If One Is To Use This In The Car, You Either Put It In The Car, With Something Underneath, Or You Put It On A Stool Or Something Near You. Because The Hose Is Short, Both Of These Are Risky, Meaning The Bissell Could Fall Over, Get Knocked Off Etc. Not Fun When You're Trying To Clean Something And it's Already Taking Alot Of Work. So Many Negatives, I Would Not Purchase Again. The Hard Plastic Hose Tore, And I Have Only Used This Bissell A Handful Of Times. Maybe 5, And For Mostly Small Things. Not Fun. I have purchased many upholstery cleaners and all of them disappointed EXCEPT for this one! This product is easy to use, cleans better than any other product I have used/bought, and is priced reasonably. I would recommend this product to anyone. I have used it to spot clean our mattresses, couches, and carpets. On all 3 surfaces the equipment held up and worked!! I am a mom of three boys and one yorkie dog. This products WORKS!!Casie

The suction of this hand vacuum is FANTASTIC! The attachments work very well as well. My only complaint is that the run time is relatively short compared to the time needed to charge – I get anywhere from 15-30 minutes max on a full charge. I mostly use to vacuum furniture, stair carpet treads, and miscellaneous fur on the wood floors so not a big deal but if you need to do a lot more daily vacuuming with this you may be annoyed by the charge it holds. Review update dropping to 3 stars because the vacuum takes a long time to recharge and you’re lucky to get even 15 minutes. I still think the suction is fantastic.Allie
