This product marketed as "Pet Pro+" is poorly designed. From the first use, dog hair gets stuck behind the debris rollers inside the dust cup. It's not simply a matter of pressing the release button to dispose the hair & dust. You have to dig behind to get everything out after each use. It's really inconvenient, dirty, and time-consuming. I purchased it to upgrade my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser, but am relieved I kept that old Bissell which I still use instead. Unfortunately I lost the BBB receipt but kept the Shark box flap with product information. See picture of that + problem. Please can you send me a better replacement?BBB Customer

Does an adequate job. This vacuum does not move a lot of air, but the attachment openings are small, which mostly offsets the low flow volume. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus – it just doesn't have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials. The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it's not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though. The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions. You're not required to clean the brush after every use to released trapped hair. The Power Brush is powered by the vacuum's internal battery, so using it will consume more battery, but I've yet to have an issue with the battery running out, even during extended use. The quick release bagless design is an improvement over older models that required filter bags, though the compartment is quite small. Once again, this vaccum is not intended for large areas or large volumn jobs. My only real complaint is the location of the power button. During normal use, that is where my index finger prefers to rest for stablization while reaching with the vacuum. I'll turn it off 20 times during a small job. I'm sure the power switch will wear out long before any other component, at least for me.HBailey

Was happy to receive the Shark WV410 Wandvac Power Pet Cordless Hand vacuum as I had areas that I knew it would come in real handy for. It weighs just about 1.5 pounds so was easy on my arm and hand. Upon opening the box it was very simple to put together – basically all in just a couple of minutes. Included is a charging dock, handheld vacuum wand, onboard accessory storage attachment (which you need to slip on the back of wand for stability), a duster crevice tool and a pet tool. The 2 attachments simply sit in their proper places on the storage attachment and it's set up, ready to go. I ran the power cord through the bottom as there is a groove that keeps it in place. I then plugged it in and charged about 4 hours. You can leave this vacuum plugged in continuously so its always charged and ready to use without harming the battery life. There is a round white power button on the wand in front that slowly blinks until its fully charged then turns solid. The on and off switch button is on the handle and a Boost button below that for the Deep Clean mode. When using the Deep Clean mode I found the battery remained charged about 14 minutes, so for longer usage I found the normal Eco mode works perfectly with plenty of adequate suction and has about 1/2 hour run time. I used this to actually dust my house – on tables and other pieces of furniture, picture frames, etc. Especially worked wonders on my carpeted basement steps! No more dragging my heavy corded vacuum around to accomplish that task! It picked up crumbs and other little items of dry cat food without a hitch. You can see when the dust cup is full and ready to be emptied. So after use you will need to empty the dust cup by depressing a yellow switch and holding it over a trash can. I suggest wiping out the cup with a dry cloth to help keep it cleaner inside. When the included filter needs cleaning you have to remove the dust cup and pinching both sides of filter you pivot upward to access it. Place over a trash can and there is a metal ring on top of the filter to help remove from the housing. Just tap it lightly to remove dirt and rinse with water only. Be sure to let the filter air-dry for at least 24 hours or completely dry before reinstalling. I have had no blockage issues whatsoever with mine but if you do notice a noise change while vacuuming check for blockages or objects that might be caught in the vacuum. There are instructions in the owner's manual for this. The manual also has an excellent Troubleshooting section which is most helpful if you need it. Shark made this vacuum so easy to use and future fix so keep that manual just in case! There are other available accessories you can purchase. However for this particular model it seems to be just the wide upholstery tool and a replacement battery. The tools that came with mine are sufficient and overall I am very pleased with its performance. The Sharp Wandvac WV410 is the 2nd iteration of the portable handheld vacuum that has been quite popular. This new version has a lot of improvements over the older one and makes it a more versatile compact unit. The first thing I noticed when I got this vacuum is how light, small, and consequently ergonomic the design is. Like all shark vacuums, the build quality is superb even though the whole unit is made with plastic. The material is sturdy and seemed to withstand the regular rough handling when trying to vacuum some weird crevice. I never felt it’ll get damaged, which is not the case with a lot of these handheld vacuums. The unit comes with 2 attachments, however there’s no powered attachment. A charging base, which also acts like an attachment holder, is included and importantly has a small footprint. This helped me to set it up in a convenient location, and made sure the unit is getting charged after stow. Another good feature which I found quite significant is the use of detachable battery. Thus if the battery fails after it’s charge cycle has been used up, I don’t need to throw away the vacuum. Also if I need to use it more frequently, I can get a second battery (and charger) to swap on the job. I really love this feature. In terms of performance, I never thought this will replace my larger, corded units – you can only do so much with a small cordless unit – but I’m definitely impressed. Being a pet owner, I am constantly cleaning up dog hair and scattered food stuff all over the house, and for that purpose this has been working perfectly. The unit storage for dust and debri is small due to the form factor, but the hinge design for dumping these made it a breeze, and moreover it’s almost a no-touch solution. Thus, it’s quite easy to clean which again is something I miss in some of my other handheld vacuums. The vacuum is not the noisient out there, and the suction power is not extraordinary, but for the size and useability they are more than adequate. Overall I’m quite impressed what Shark is delivering with the WV401 and I’m using it practically everyday. Without going overboard with features and design, the Wandvac provides provides the one thing I look for in a handheld vacuum – ease of use. There is a simplicity to this little vacuum that I really appreciate. It has two buttons, one for power, and the other a toggle for boost mode. Last it has a latch for unlocking the dust trap on the underside to dump out the contents it picked up. There are two included attachments, one for a wider area with a brush at the end, and the other is an extension of the end of the vacuum with a flip up brush at its tip. The two extra parts have little mounting points on the charging station that the handheld drops into for storage and charging, and once you find a suitable place for it all it is very compact and unassuming. The vacuum itself is shockingly lightweight yet very powerful for its size. It is well balanced making it easy to hold and maneuver into tight spaces. That is the strong point for it is tight spaces like in your car or corners of stairs or furniture. Being so small it does not have much room to store the debris so you either must plan on emptying it often or using it sparingly for the small areas a larger vacuum could not easily get to. I have been able to get it around and under the seats of my vehicles and use it regularly for cleaning up the nooks of my stairs where my dogs leave hair all the time. It is so easy to grab off the dock and get to work that it makes me feel more inclined to do so for even the smallest and quickest messes. I store it right next to my larger stick vacuum so it’s easy for me to get to and keeps everything of similar jobs in the same place. Battery life is great I typically have to empty the reservoir many times long before being at risk of running out of battery life. And when I am done just drop it back onto the dock so it's always ready to go. With the wide head attachment, it works great for clearing couches and other furniture of dog hair, and the smaller attachment gets into the small spaces like my stairs. It is also very quiet especially considering its suction power. I am very impressed with how well it works and how easy it is to use. For pet owners who need to get hair and dust out of all their corners or anyone who wants to be able to clean small spaces quickly and easily this is a must have and I highly recommend it.Josh

First, the positive: Initially, this was a great purchase. Powerful and lasts for long enough for most jobs, and that's still the case after 3 years. Now the negative: Since about 6 months ago, when starting use after it's been on charge for easily sufficient time to fully charge, it cuts out within about 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug it in for 30 seconds, it works for 20 seconds, plug in again and it then usually works for some 6 minutes on full power. This is simply a defective unit as the battery is clearly still holding the charge. Wouldn't rush to buy a Dyson again.RobS53

We had a precious model DC34 which served us well until the motor died. We also have a V10 and a Miele plug in for the bigger jobs, and wanted to replace the hand held This gets regular light use .Despite emptying after every use and washing the filter it started pulsing.My wife and I have just spent a quite few hours cleaning the machine.the filter was totally clogged inside and more importantly the interior, inside the shiny perforated cylindrical right up to the cyclones was full of debris /clogged . Bought this to do small pickups after a sweep of the floor, and to clean the car. It's proven handy when doing a bit of DIY around the house, where you can immediately pickup any small debris left from drilling etc. For very quick jobs it's good, but the "standard" power mode is a bit of a joke as it can barely pick up dust let-alone bigger objects like spilled cereal and a bit of dirt. Max power has some decent suction and, with the motorised tool, makes short work of cleaning rugs and carpets, but this only last for around 6 minutes, so again is only good for quick jobs. Like other reviewers, I also had the intermittent power issue, but after following the support video step by step, it started working again – I had cleaned everything else before following the steps, but didn't know about the easy to remove and clean filter. Generally, I find it quite easy to clean and put back together, actually much easier than the dyson cylinder vac (where I have to pull the bin apart to get out the hair). I am a bit torn on this machine, I do like a dyson, and I end up using the handheld on average twice a day, but it could just be a bit better. Given that it is a similar price to the cylinder vac, I was expecting a bit more. A killer feature would be the ability to run it while plugged in – I know this defeats the purpose of the "cordless" handheld, but running out of power when you only have a couple of minutes to go is quite infuriating. So I actually like how this performs a lot, it works really well and has great suction, a big improvement over my last one. The problem is, there is no indicator to show you how much battery life you have left, and no light to indicate that’s it’s either charging or done charging. I have an older home with some dodgy outlets where you have plug things in a certain way to make sure they’re working. Well there is no way to tell whether this is charging at all, or when it’s done charging. And as I mentioned, no way to know that it’s running out of battery life until it suddenly starts running slower and then shuts off. It’s a major design flaw in my opinion, very annoying and frustrating, and I would not buy it again for that reason. If it had an indicator light of any kind, it might be my favorite handvac. But as it is, I can’t recommend it – unless you don’t care about things like thatTerrydog06

Terrible product. Battery is DOA, won't hold a charge at all. There is no light to even show you whether it's charging. It uses a nonstandard plug for the charging DC voltage, so you can't even swap the charging adapter for another one to test whether that's the issue. I hade another dustbuster that didnt have enough suction so researched and reviewed many to buy another. Black and Decker used to be known as good quality products. I decided to buy this as it was a little higher in the price but was supposed to have good above average power. This is product useless. It has so little suction, I cant even use it in the car or at home. It is easier for me to get the full size vacuum out from under the bed, put all 3 parts together and set it up rather than using this product – which was the reason for buying it and the hassle it was supposed to avoid. Just arrived and I've only used it once so far, but the suction in the 16V product is so MUCH more powerful than I anticipated – I'm glad I didn't order the 20V version. It charged quickly. I forgot to time how long it lasted, but I got everything done that I wanted to. The blower is out the back instead of the side like my previous handheld which blew the dirt away before you could suck it up. It's also louder than my old one, but seems to have double the suction power, so it's a good trade-off. We have 3 cats and a dog and this handheld got all the hair with no problem. Cleaning was a breeze. my only recommendation would be to offer additional filters at the time of purchase, just for the convenience of having one at the ready (for whenever). The suction seemed strong at first, when powered on, just the warm air it was blowing out seemed incredibly powerful for such a small handheld vacuum. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ends. The suction is seemingly strange and I completely understand this isn't a big and mighty vacuum, but when I say it's strange it's almost as if the actual suction only exists in a certain portion or area of the mouth of the vacuum, as opposed to suction coming from the entire mouth. If I have a crumb, and I want it cleaned up, I must pinpoint this certain area over the crumb, as opposed to simply running the entire mouth over the general area of the crumb. It's tiresome and a bit annoying that I can't just simply swipe the vacuum over the area like most would generally do when vacuuming. It requires more effort than it should. The entry level dustbuster has a grey push button that must be CONSTANTLY held to work. It does not stay on unless you keep your thumb pressed on it. Very difficult if you have small hands or hand disabilities (such as carpal tunnel or anything else that makes ongoing thumb pressure hard). The suction is good. However, in order to use this thing you must hold the on button or tape it down. HORRIBLE design that renders it almost non-functional. Bought it at Target yesterday. Regretting my choice.Quinn

I’ve been using this dustbuster everyday for a few weeks now. I am so happy with this product! This dustbuster has a very long lasting battery life, great suction, easy to empty and is light weight. I use it to clean around my cats litter box, in my car, and for small messes in the kitchen. It works like a charm! If I was to change one thing about this product I would put a lock feature on the button. I have gotten used to pressing the button and it no longer bothers me but see how it could be burdensome for others especially if they have arthritis. I was honestly expecting this to be better than it is. It does pick up some stuff but not like I had hoped for. The suction power is average, just wish it was better and picked everything up. I will say it does charge fast and holds quite a bit. Also it has a magnetic brush head, you can flip up to use or down to not. If this had better suction power it would be awesome. I also want to mention this comes with the piece that you can hang this on the wall which I do like. Honestly, I'd go with another model, maybe a newer one over this one. This hand vac made my cleaning days a breeze with an unexpected benefit. We bought it because of the great reviews as a hand held vacuum to take along in the 5th wheel while on vacation. It turns out it's the perfect fit for our 4 sets of stairs! Overall, I really like this hand held vacuum cleaner. I have been constantly using this product for a week now and I absolutely love it. I basically use this product to clean my sofa, table, kitchen and even carpet floor since my apartment is considered small. Works great! I own the other style handheld Dewalt vacuum and purchased this one for use in my camper van due to the attachments. The bristled brushes cleans molding without scratching it. The extension makes vacuuming the floor easy on your back. The pointed attachment is great for doing under the seats and hard to reach places.Grant P

This vacuum has good suction and decent capacity. It seems best suited as a small projects vacuum to be kept near your pantry, garage, or around your cars. The tube is sized to fit common small diameter shop vacuum hoses and accessories, so it's nice to not be tied to one proprietary set of fittings. According to the documentation, the filter needs to be knocked clean and can't be blown out with an air hose. It sucked up fine wood dust without redistributing it in the air, but emptying the filter was a little of a pain. It's compatible with all the DeWalt batteries I have, from 1.5 to 6 AH. The motor noise is loud, a little louder than my previous cheapo dust buster, but only slightly. Overall I'm quite happy with this vacuum and hope the long term durability justified the price tag.LTools

I've waited years for DeWalt to make this exact product. I have all the batteries I need and don't need to pay $399 for a Dyson that I have only two 1.5ah batteries on hand to deal with. This vacuum is perfect for around the house, cleaning hard surfaces with the floor attachment, and detailing cars. I will warn anyone that expects a bit too much of a compact vacuum, this will not clean your carpets. It will however clean your 3 year old's spilled cocoa puffs off the carpet without pulling out the Kirby or Shop Vac. 100% would recommend for shop, jobsite, and home. We’ve had this hand vac for years (10?) and it always worked great for picking up pet hair, human hair, etc. It was especially useful on stairs that are hard to clean with larger vacs. Unfortunately, a small plastic part broke inside the clear part of the vacuum. At first, it continued to work, but then overheated so it is dead. My main objective for this was to get a corded version of a hand held compact device for use in my RV because I hate the limitations of battery operated devices, ironic as it is. This solves that problem, but has limited reach for tight spots. This could be remedied by designing a hose attachment with a crevice nozzle long enough to reach under small spaces, especially those in cars. I like the long cord, the power of it, and the rubber nozzle for pet hair. It is a bit noisy so wear ear plugs if you are sensitive. It also kicks up the dust and hair, so be prepared. It might be nice to see a version of this in both corded and battery so that there could be a versatile option for power. The filter is not easy to clean and gets filthy very quickly. I've cleaned mine about 10 times since I've owned it, and often tap out any loose dirt and use tweezers to clear out the heavier lint in the folds. It reminds me of an air filter I used to buy for my Toro lawn mower once a year. Buying new filters for this would be expensive, and it might be nice to see a cleanable filter. I guess that might cut into their bottom line, however, I'm not going to shell out money on expensive filters every week. The main design flaw is in the switch, which turns off when it hits objects as its being used in tight places. Upon cleaning my car, I kept hitting the handle on certain areas and had to keep turning it back on. Put the switch on the back. The shape is gimmicky, and the handle seems a bit in the way and could have been more streamlined. Overall, its a good product, but not perfect. A wet-dry handheld vacuum I've had for a LONG time finally decided to not work. I searching for a new handheld I came across the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Lithium Ion Cordless Pet Hand Vacuum. Upon reading the various reviews, I decided to give this vacuum a try and man I am glad I did. The powered brush head and good suction works great on our furniture to remove the cat hair from our two long-haired cats, Bella and Sassy Cat. I find the powered roller brush easy to clean. The included attachment fitment into the dust cup is firm, which gives me confidence in the ability for the attachment to stay in place during use. Since parts are available I also bought the dusting brush attachment and an extra brush roll and clip. Thank you for an effective (and good looking) handheld vacuum!Karl

I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage. It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness.. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone. Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don't realize how much you need it until you buy it. Its great – so long as you keep your expectations realistic. Remember – its a handheld vac, so don't expect the suction power (and therefore, speed) of a Dyson! It's has limited suction power and takes a little more time to get the job done. For my first test, I had spilled some grains of dry rice inside a kitchen cupboard, and this little guy sucked them up in less than a minute – BUT! it took a little patience to get the job done, and that was hard grains on a hard surface (wood). The second test came in the car. It doesn't work so well for soft bits of fluff that can 'cling' to the carpets in the car (in other words, soft dirt on soft surfaces). This takes a little more patience, and is best done using the little brush extension to dislodge the target dirt. By contrast, small hard gravel on the car mats is not a problem. So, in my experience, you need to be patient for bits of dirt that are able to 'cling' to the host material; otherwise, for hard dirt on hard surfaces, it's a piece of cake. I'm an Uber driver, and its primary function is to keep the car clean in-between passenger rides. It's absolutely perfect for that. Small enough to store hidden-away in the side door compartment. After each ride, I check for dirt on the passenger carpets, then break-out the Bissell for a quick vacuum and Bingo! – back to a clean car in no time, ready for the next ride. TOP TIPS: 1. Keep the filter 100% clean, otherwise the suction reduces significantly. 2. Keep it fully-charged using the USB connector that plugs into the car. It needs to be fully-charged to be effective, otherwise it loses suction power. I use it every day, and I love it. One of my best purchases of all time, and – yes – I would buy it again.Curlytop

I use this for my car! It’s great for small messes like debris that ends up on the floors from your shoes! It fits perfectly in my cup holder! It does an OKAY job with pet hair…but i also have huskies so a stronger vacuum like at the car wash are more useful in my case when it comes to pet hair. They’re also not always in my car so it’s not a huge negative to this product. The battery life is also pretty good! My only complaint is how small the collection area is. It doesn’t hold much so you have to empty it quite frequently – even multiple times throughout the use you’re needing it for. For how big and long it is, I would think it would have a little bit bigger of an area to house what you’re cleaning up. Instead, majority of it is the battery/suction mechanics.Mae

Wanted to like this as it looks sleek and seemed like the perfect solution to clean my computer parts. However it is just a 'rushed to market' product with big design flaws that make it a deal breaker: 1) The battery life is a joke – takes 3.5 hours to charge and last only about 5 minutes in use ! This is the biggest deal breaker 2) Suction power is really bad – even for the price. If you add the brush attachment it is further lowered to the extent that this is no better that a plain brush moving dust around rather than vacuuming. I had bought this mainly to clean my laptop and mechanical keyboards and it does not work very well at all. I cannot imagine this being any use at all for any heavier work (ex. cleaning car). Without the brush pulled out it is slightly better and may be able to pull food bits. 3) The dust compartment is tiny – rendering this useless for anything beyond vacuuming fine dust off electronics (and it does not do a satisfactory job of even that) – unless you are OK with emptying out the container every few seconds in the middle of vacuuming 4) The air outlet vent is on the same side as the vacuuming surface. So if you attach the attachment like it is supposed to be attached, it will end up blowing dirt and dust all over the place. It should be in the opposite direction ! All these clearly suggest this is a product that was not well thought out or tested adequately. I am returning this.Debashish

This cordless has held it's charge for longer than expected. I used it off and on for miscellaneous cleaning two days in a row. I then thought I'd place it back on the charger, not because it was necessary, but I didn't want to be without it. The one disadvantage is that it has a reusable/ cleanable filter. I would gladly give this a 5 star if it weren't for the fact that the power switch is tough to press. Really have to give it some push to get it 'on'. Otherwise I just LOVE it. Had a Dirt Devil before that lasted for many years, well worth the price. This one is even better as it has the quick flip option and really gets into tight spots well. Now I just wonder if I have a poor one where the switch sticks. Would like Dirt Devil's feedback here. I'd still recommend 100% to others. LONG lasting battery charge I'm noticing.Lisa in Minnesota

I purchased the Dirt Devil yesterday for for a friend. I liked how the crevice piece is attached. After I charged the unit, I tried to turn it on. The on/off switch is very difficult to use. My friend has arthritis and I doubt she'll be able to operate this unit on her own. I'd consider keeping it, but I already have a cordless vacuumJane

This arrived in box from Sun Joe with a QVC address label slapped on it. Said the 3 piece attached invoice/return label. NO SUCH THING. Had to call customer service for an invoice and return label. Arrived 10 days after my call. Now they say they are going to chg $5.50 for returning this piece of junk. Never had a vac that blew the dirt in all directions and I had to chase it! I broke a fingernail trying to get the thing apart to empty this little bit of dirt. Please people start letting QVC know that they are selling products that are not up to standards which we have a right to expect. Now I had to place the call to get paperwork, now I will have to get this packed up again and than return to P.O. My time and my gas. Beginning to think we are not using our heads. This little vacuum is perfect for small clean up jobs! It comes with a hepa filter that is washable, a small extended nozzle attachment with a brush option, a USB cable charger and a vacuum cap. It takes 4 hours to fully charge, illuminating 3 charge status lights. These lights are nice so you have an idea of how much power you have left in the battery when using it and when you need to soon charge it. I love that the hepa filter is washable, because being a vacuum, those filters can get nasty quick. All you need to do is rinse it out and wait for it to dry and you have a nice clean vacuum again! The true test for this vacuum came after I filled my car with glittery Christmas decorations. We all know that with Christmas ribbon and decor comes the dreaded glitter mess that it leaves behind! When I unloaded my car the back carpet looked like a glitter monster had thrown up back there. The sun joe cordless vacuum cleaned it up like a champ! I was able remove all traces of glitter in no time! The best part is the small nozzle attachment was able to perfectly clean between the dreaded gap between the front seats and the center console! The brush attachment easily slides on the nozzle attachment and locks into place to help loosen those small debries that cling to the carpet. While the little vacuum has many uses, I think it has found its permanent home in my car where its uses truly shine for me! If I had any recommendations, I wish it had a storage bag to keep the vacuum, attachments and charging cord tidy and together. All in all, this is a great tool for small clean ups!Krysta

I love this vacuum! I have a toddler, a cat, and a dog that I’m constantly having to follow around and clean up little messes. I got so sick of dragging my full-size vacuum out for one mess of goldfish smashed into the carpet so I invested in this handheld vacuum and it was the best idea ever! It has 2 suction speeds an extendable nozzle to get in hard to reach places so it really cleans up what I need it to fast effectively! I also love that it’s cordless. Love the pull out extension nozzle for easy reach into corners and around furniture or when cleaning out the car. The two speed on/off button is also very convenient. It is light weight and easy to clean and store on the charging base. I have owned many B&D Dustbusters over the years and this model is much quieter than all the others. Fantastic product! I got the item today and I have used it all over the house to get in the crevices and baseboards. It is very easy to empty and easy to clean. It also came with an extra filter and a brush attachment and a crevices tool. It is smaller than I expected and it is so light I thought the box was empty. Those are definite pluses in my book. Also the light is very useful and you can turn it on and off with a button instead of it being on all the time when it runs so I think that helps keep the carge.handege_0

Was happy to receive the Shark WV410 Wandvac Power Pet Cordless Hand vacuum as I had areas that I knew it would come in real handy for. It weighs just about 1.5 pounds so was easy on my arm and hand. Upon opening the box it was very simple to put together – basically all in just a couple of minutes. Included is a charging dock, handheld vacuum wand, onboard accessory storage attachment (which you need to slip on the back of wand for stability), a duster crevice tool and a pet tool. The 2 attachments simply sit in their proper places on the storage attachment and it's set up, ready to go. I ran the power cord through the bottom as there is a groove that keeps it in place. I then plugged it in and charged about 4 hours. You can leave this vacuum plugged in continuously so its always charged and ready to use without harming the battery life. There is a round white power button on the wand in front that slowly blinks until its fully charged then turns solid. The on and off switch button is on the handle and a Boost button below that for the Deep Clean mode. When using the Deep Clean mode I found the battery remained charged about 14 minutes, so for longer usage I found the normal Eco mode works perfectly with plenty of adequate suction and has about 1/2 hour run time. I used this to actually dust my house – on tables and other pieces of furniture, picture frames, etc. Especially worked wonders on my carpeted basement steps! No more dragging my heavy corded vacuum around to accomplish that task! It picked up crumbs and other little items of dry cat food without a hitch. You can see when the dust cup is full and ready to be emptied. So after use you will need to empty the dust cup by depressing a yellow switch and holding it over a trash can. I suggest wiping out the cup with a dry cloth to help keep it cleaner inside. When the included filter needs cleaning you have to remove the dust cup and pinching both sides of filter you pivot upward to access it. Place over a trash can and there is a metal ring on top of the filter to help remove from the housing. Just tap it lightly to remove dirt and rinse with water only. Be sure to let the filter air-dry for at least 24 hours or completely dry before reinstalling. I have had no blockage issues whatsoever with mine but if you do notice a noise change while vacuuming check for blockages or objects that might be caught in the vacuum. There are instructions in the owner's manual for this. The manual also has an excellent Troubleshooting section which is most helpful if you need it. Shark made this vacuum so easy to use and future fix so keep that manual just in case! There are other available accessories you can purchase. However for this particular model it seems to be just the wide upholstery tool and a replacement battery. The tools that came with mine are sufficient and overall I am very pleased with its performance. It's not the quietest hand vacuum around but it sure does a great job of picking up things I need it to. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this very useful small household vacuum and love the fact its cordless. The Sharp Wandvac WV410 is the 2nd iteration of the portable handheld vacuum that has been quite popular. This new version has a lot of improvements over the older one and makes it a more versatile compact unit. The first thing I noticed when I got this vacuum is how light, small, and consequently ergonomic the design is. Like all shark vacuums, the build quality is superb even though the whole unit is made with plastic. The material is sturdy and seemed to withstand the regular rough handling when trying to vacuum some weird crevice. I never felt it’ll get damaged, which is not the case with a lot of these handheld vacuums. The unit comes with 2 attachments, however there’s no powered attachment. A charging base, which also acts like an attachment holder, is included and importantly has a small footprint. This helped me to set it up in a convenient location, and made sure the unit is getting charged after stow. Another good feature which I found quite significant is the use of detachable battery. Thus if the battery fails after it’s charge cycle has been used up, I don’t need to throw away the vacuum. Also if I need to use it more frequently, I can get a second battery (and charger) to swap on the job. I really love this feature. In terms of performance, I never thought this will replace my larger, corded units – you can only do so much with a small cordless unit – but I’m definitely impressed. Being a pet owner, I am constantly cleaning up dog hair and scattered food stuff all over the house, and for that purpose this has been working perfectly. The unit storage for dust and debri is small due to the form factor, but the hinge design for dumping these made it a breeze, and moreover it’s almost a no-touch solution. Thus, it’s quite easy to clean which again is something I miss in some of my other handheld vacuums. The vacuum is not the noisient out there, and the suction power is not extraordinary, but for the size and useability they are more than adequate. Overall I’m quite impressed what Shark is delivering with the WV401 and I’m using it practically everyday. Without going overboard with features and design, the Wandvac provides provides the one thing I look for in a handheld vacuum – ease of use. The only wish I had is the inclusion of a powered attachment.Jack

There is a simplicity to this little vacuum that I really appreciate. It has two buttons, one for power, and the other a toggle for boost mode. Last it has a latch for unlocking the dust trap on the underside to dump out the contents it picked up. There are two included attachments, one for a wider area with a brush at the end, and the other is an extension of the end of the vacuum with a flip up brush at its tip. The two extra parts have little mounting points on the charging station that the handheld drops into for storage and charging, and once you find a suitable place for it all it is very compact and unassuming. The vacuum itself is shockingly lightweight yet very powerful for its size. It is well balanced making it easy to hold and maneuver into tight spaces. That is the strong point for it is tight spaces like in your car or corners of stairs or furniture. Being so small it does not have much room to store the debris so you either must plan on emptying it often or using it sparingly for the small areas a larger vacuum could not easily get to. I have been able to get it around and under the seats of my vehicles and use it regularly for cleaning up the nooks of my stairs where my dogs leave hair all the time. It is so easy to grab off the dock and get to work that it makes me feel more inclined to do so for even the smallest and quickest messes. I store it right next to my larger stick vacuum so it’s easy for me to get to and keeps everything of similar jobs in the same place. Battery life is great I typically have to empty the reservoir many times long before being at risk of running out of battery life. And when I am done just drop it back onto the dock so it's always ready to go. With the wide head attachment, it works great for clearing couches and other furniture of dog hair, and the smaller attachment gets into the small spaces like my stairs. It is also very quiet especially considering its suction power. I am very impressed with how well it works and how easy it is to use. For pet owners who need to get hair and dust out of all their corners or anyone who wants to be able to clean small spaces quickly and easily this is a must have and I highly recommend it.Josh

We bought this to replace our stand up vacuum since most of our floors are hard. We also use it for minor spills or dirt tracked in a specific spot. I'm surprised at how well this vac works. Most of my tools are Milwaukee, so I think I know quality. For what we paid for this, it works great. It is not hard on batteries, picks up debris well and the attachments are handy. Only two criticisms, one is that the extensions/attachments are not compatible with similar diameter shop vac or stand up vacuum attachments. This means I can't extend the wand or use tools I have from other vacs. The second is that I wish the wand was a little bit longer. I'm 5' 10" and if I have to vacuum the whole house, my back hurts a little from being slightly bent over. My wife is shorter and does not have the issue. However, if I could add one more extension from another vac,…… Or if Bauer sold the attachments separately as well, that would help.Jack

This vacuum uses a flap to hold contents inside the canister. Dust and other items can leak out if you use it for dust/debris around the house. Since they include tools for the floor and crevices, I think it can be marketed as for home use as well. It’s poor in that regard often leaking over the place. It is great for shop use. Clean up small things quickly. Good for using in cars. Run time isn’t crazy but Dyson’s products suck too. (eh, vacuums) 4/5 because it works well but isn’t great around the house and small dust makes it way into the motor area.Luke

I got this as a Christmas present from my dad and it's a great handy vacuum for small jobs. I use it mostly in the house to vacuum up some of the areas my robot vacuum can't reach since its a lot better than my old Bissell standup on hard floors. Plenty of power, but it burns through batteries FAST. It took my fully charged 3.0ah down in about 15 minutes. I really don't suggest using the 1.5ah at all. I'll probably pick up the 5.0ah just for this thing. Only other complaint is how small the dust bin is. It looks big, but the filter section takes up a huge part of the interior space. It's worth it for intermittent use on small jobs which, for all intents and purposes, WAS what it was made for, so it is a good value.Dan

Pros: super powerful and works great. Convenient quick flip crevice tool and red stair brush work great together Cons: Overheats really fast and shuts off. Have to wait 30 minutes The cord is not long enough for a full set of stairs unless your outlet is on the stairs. Mine is 3' away and i couldn't get them all without an extention. I want to say it's the most powerful little vacuum I've ever used. I love the power and it does a great job picking up dirt and pet hair. The quick flip crevice tool is great and extremely convenient. And the stairs brush (red attachment) works really well. The black attachment that has bristles seems worthless as the source of the suction is too far from the ground to even collect simple dirt. I got this mainly for my stairs. However the cord is just too short to even do the whole stairway. So you either need an extention cord or you have to unplug half way. I had to do both. It also overheats really quickly, I couldn't even complete the stairs before the thermal protection kicked in. Then you have to wait 30 minutes. I'm never a fan of emptying the canister and cleaning the filter on handheld vacuums, but it seems like a common problem amongst all models I've used. What are you going to do? Wash your hands and prepare to get messy when you empty it because the foam filter will have dirt and hair stuck to it and shaking it will provide you with a lungfull of dirt and get it everywhere. And you will still have to pull the rest off by hand. I recommend emptying it often and using it more often to avoid overheating. Once you feel the unit start to get hot, prepare to have the thermal protection flip and shut off. I would rather that than it burn out the motor or melt the cable. Overall. I'll take this any day over some weak battery operated unit. It's really like a regular vacuum motor stuffed in a handheld unit which is why it overheats. But still. I need something to clean those stairs. I've had to resort to using a broom and this solves that problem. The first time i used it. There was anger because i couldn't complete the stairs in one go. Knowing this, I'll do them more frequently and hopefully it won't overheat. But the extention cord will always make me a little mad.Peege

Solid 4 stars – amazing suction and great brush attachment for getting pet hair off the stairs. The cons: filter is hard to clean off (hair really sticks to it), attachments come off easy during use on stairs/couch, cord is too short (only 15 feet – this isn’t enough to do my full staircase.) Also gives off pretty warm heat during use – sucks when you’re already sweating from working hard cleaning. The last thing I want is hot air blowing on me. With that said – it’s the best handheld for my stairs I’ve used. Beats a cordless or any long stick vacuum. It’s perfect.Doglover

My father recommended this Scorpion Hand Vac to me and I couldn’t be happier. I was worried that it wouldn’t be powerful enough for our dogs hair. As many vacuums say they are great for pet hair but just don’t do a good job. I was very pleasantly surprised that it made super quick work cleaning the dog hair out of the carpet on our stairs. It even pulled the hair out of the hard to reach corners. With my past vacuums it would take me about an hour to vacuum and pick the hairs out of the tight corners of my stairs…and they still weren’t clean to my complete satisfaction. The Scorpion Plus cleaned it all up and I was done in less than 10 minutes, heck maybe in 5 minutes. I didn’t even break a sweat. 🤣 I purchased a second one for my daughter for Christmas. I just hope I am able to find the Hose with Crevice Tool and the Dusting Brush, they would be great accessories to this Hand Vac. So far, I highly recommend.ShopperfromKS
