Strange that three stars is OK and 4 is better than expected. I really had limited expectations, but I am happy with the bars. I purchased the bar with a 50 cm rise because I needed to get the cockpit more upright and I specifically got the Vibrocore in hopes that it may help with hand numbness. There's no way for me to know if it were the Vibrocore aspect or the rise that helped with the hand numbness ( I also changed out my stem at the same time, so not a very scientific process to determine what really helped), but I'm happy with the new setup. I love the 800 cm length, it really helps with control – just gotta watch for those trees on the edge of the trail. I also like the red/black color option since it matched my bikes colors.resist4ever
I had a set of these bars in the vibrocore 25mm rise and the position was to low, ordered and installed the 40mm rise and the position is spot on. The bars are durable and to be honest I can’t feel the difference between the two not bashing the vibrocore at all they are great bars either way. I’m 6’1with long arms and ride a Sb136. After slapping this steering wheel on, my confidence in my downhill ability grew 10 fold. I don’t feel like I’m going to OTB. The control and responsiveness is noticeable immediately. If you are a large biped I highly suggest upgrading to 40mm. The ride difference and feel is better then flat bars. I purchased my first set back in 2008, riser flat bars for my Specialized P… money was tight, but i wanted the best. I was skeptical because I thought… “how much could bars really make a difference?” Come to realize 4 up, 8 back is “perfect” This is my 4th set between my brother and I. I have them on everything from a P dirt jumper to a FSR XC (converted to singletrack) and now just converted a gravel to flatbars… these exact 1.25” rise un blue. After demo-ing many bikes with carbon bars, it was time to upgrade. The carbon bars really help with vibration, dampening the trail chatter at high speed. It is lighter than my Aluminum Race Face bar, but I hardly notice the difference. What I do notice is that steering has a lighter feel and I don't feel the shocks from the trail. I've started riding again after a couple years hiatus, so I decided a couple small changes would make rides on my 2010 Trek Fuel more fun (it's a little long in the tooth, but still a great bike). The105mm stem was long, and the cut down bars were too narrow at 650mm which made some of the fast downhills sketchier than I recall. Enter the Chester bar and stem: at 70mm / 740mm it made a huge difference in just about every area, and since I'll be looking for a new bike in a year or two these also fit the financial bill. The sweep and rise are perfect, and they are solid and confidence inspiring. Race Face also reaches out to make sure you don't struggle with the mounting – nice touch. Solid company, solid products.

I got these because the stock carbon bars from my 130/120 mtn bike felt too flexible. I was skeptical about such stout bars on a mid travel, but I was trying to firm up my front end. Probably not as much dampening over fast chatter as my original bars. More solid though. I cut them to 800.Bills

I was originally thinking about buying a cheaper bar to save cash for other parts I needed. However after a few chats with the great and kool folks at Jen-Son USA I decided to give the Enve a shot. Don’t listen to the experts if you are not one. They fix all kinds of issues from body fatigue to reaction time. You are up and ready for whatever the trail may through at you. Need to be back on the rear tire? Boom you’re there! Need to be on the front end? Just bend your elbows and get down. These are my first carbon bars so I DO NOT have any reference for how they compare to other carbon bars. I really like these bars. They are super lite weight. They have a vibration damping characteristic as well. I also really like the texturing in the clamping surfaces for the stem and grips. I put these on my stumpy evo and trail ride them. I think the 1" rise specification is a little wonky given the majority of bars are rated metric rise. I would buy a higher rise if they made them. I'm 200lbs and tend to man-handle the bike a bit. I could feel them flex when I first started riding them. I'm used to it now. I'd buy these again.Justin

How to make a $100 Cruiser/Mountain Bike Hybrid 1. Find a 90s Name brand mountain bike. Mine was on Craigslist for $60 and was stored indoors. The model is a Mongoose Switchback purchased from a bike shop for $320. The bike shop history is important because big box stores have no idea how to assemble and lube a bike correctly. Check the tires for dry rot – just because they hold air doesnt mean they are good. 2. Go thru and take apart the bike, inspect clean and lube the hubs and especially the derailer and brake controls. 3. Go on ebay and find and adjustable extended handlebar riser for $30. Mine is a Zoom and its nicely made. So Im into the bike for $90 bucks and some time. I splurge another $20 for a larger handlebar: Sunlite Handlebar MTB 25.4mm Clamp 3" Rise Alloy Black and some new rubber grips. So for $110 I have a lightweight cruiser mountain bike that allows me to ride upright.dravideditor

I’m a big dude. Were talking north of heavyweight. I bought these bars to replace the ones that came on my Cannondale Trail SE 3. They were 15mm rise and I was experiencing hand numbness and lower back pain on longer rides, not to mention a total failure of confidence on even slight descents. This handlebar feels so amazing. It has some compliance to it, which scared me at first, but I’ve really grown to love it. I think it knocks out some of the hard vibrations in the substrate you’re on, including gravel, hard pack, and rough asphalt. If they can handle my abuse, they can handle anything. If you’re looking for a buttery smooth, supple, ergonomic handle bar, absolutely purchase the Range Kw bar. If you want some kickass grips that attach to your gloves like velcro, pick up some loam grips to match your bars.Kelton F.
I own a 2021 Salsa Timberjack XT 29. It is a phenomenal bike. But over the last year I started to notice how rigid it was in the bars and far the reach was; causing me to place a lot of weight on my hands. Ending up with a ton of hand/wrist numbness and pain every time I would ride. After doing research I settled on the PNW bars. People experiencing similar symptoms as me were saying they worked great to help solve the issue. What I often found was people who were changing their bars do to pain, comfort, numbness; were changing their stems. Which opens the question which diameter bar is better? And by better to me, which is more supple and compliant? Because if your stem is being replaced, now is a time you can choose a different size bar. Knowing whether or not the 31.8 vs the 35mm has a distinctively different feeling might have made me choose the 31.8 over the 35mm. But unaware and inexperienced with anything but what I already had, I stuck with the original size my bike came with. I hesitate to put a 5 stars bc I wonder, would I like the 31.8 version bar even better?Eythan R.
I've ridden a lot of bars over the years (Answer, Thomson, Salsa, Renthal, ODI, Spank), these are hands down (no pun intended) the best and most comfortable in terms of ergonomics. I've also ridden carbon on demo bikes and understand the advantages of weight savings and flex/dampening, but I just can't bring myself to trust it. These are somewhere in between carbon and alloy as far as feel goes. The rise is perfect, my upper trapezoid pain seems to be diminishing, and I love the sweep! Very similar to a beloved pair of Salsa Salt Flat bars that we're 11°, so much easier on my wrists. They also look as good as they feel and perform. This is my second upgrade in components from PNW behind a Coast dropper and can't wait to see what my next will be.Frank F.

The product is great. The handlebars are super high quality: stiff thick walls, nice ergos being slightly flatter than OEM (~3/4 flatter at the bar ends than OEM), nice alignment marks for easy setup. My only problem with these is trying to find accurate info from ProTaper on the dimensions. I selected the YZ High profile, seeing somewhere that there was a total elevation of over 6, as I wanted a taller bar as I am a tall rider. The height of the YZ High is identical to OEM which is very misleading.Eric
It's a great set of handlebars. I got the blue color and it matches great with the rest of my WR250R. I got the CR High Bend and it fits well, for reference I'm 6'0 w/ average arm length. Originally got it to replace my stock bars that got bent in a minor lowside. Haven't gotten into the same crash but I did tip over and the bars are totally fine. One caveat is that it seems that my hand guards don't fit, the handlebar holes at the end are too small. Somewhat disappointed that they don't fit my guards (Acerbis Rally) that fit on the stock bars, hope I can find a set that fit.Cameron
I put these on a gen 2 KLR650 at the same time I put Oxford heated grips and Tusk Adventure Handguards. I heard these were the closest bend to stock and I'm 5-10 and really liked the stock feel but hated how easily they bent. Perfect combination for winter riding. Huge improvement.Todd

The price is right, but the weight is heavy. This one weighs in at about 450 grams, compared to a lighter aluminum or carbon bar at around 160 grams. For a little extra $ you can save 300 grams (about 10 oz), which is significant. If you're a weight weenie, beware. However, if you're just looking to replace the handlebar on your neighborhood cruiser then this will work great!scottatodd
