Any product that has the word “primer” in it gets my attention as it feels like something that is put on before adding anything else serves a purpose especially before applying heat. I think that when it comes to hair, we often don’t think to add a primer or heat protective item but definitely it keeps from heat ruining your hair. I haven’t been doing much to my hair separate from washing and having it in a messy bun. For this review, I blew dry my hair and used the priming spray but since getting this in the box, I spray my hair with it even if I will be air drying it. I have noticed it makes my hair smell great and hydrates it a bit. I don’t know if that was any intention but I will continue to use it that way as it works for my hair type. So with the heat protection spray I do like it. I don’t spray so much of it mostly when my hair is damp because when it’s dry like it just makes my hair feel very heavy. anyways I did try it both ways wet hair and dry hair just to see what works best for me. My experiences with this were positive not so much negative may be just like a little bit I have thin fine hair and it’s also oily so a little bit of everything and any product goes a long way I do know that because of the changes in season and I do require to use a little bit more so this would be very helpful for me during the winter because in the summer my hair heats up really bad because of the sun and it’s just I live in his dry state so he protection and I do straighten my hair a lot it does not really go with me. A little bit of a use I do get out of it but in the winter that is when I will definitely be using it to the max but other than that my hair did become heavy after a long day I’m not gonna say it so much light weight but it did make me feel good for a while with nice hair and it does smell good. I can't lie, I was really blown away by this line. Although I really wanted to give a good review on how well this straightened and retained my hair, I can't really say. I applied this I let my hair mostly sure dry in twists, then I proceeded to blow my hair out. I then straightened my hair. No other products were required to straighten my hair and it came out very silly and beautiful, by it didn't last😩. By the next day, the exterior layer of my hair had already swollen up. While this product DOES protect from heat damage (I tested some strands that remained straight, and they retained their curl after rehydrating), it does NOT help to retain the style or defy any humidity. I do not think this system, overall, does very well retaining heat styles or defending against humidity. I didn't get past more than a day before my hair swelled up from humidity. BUT, ill also point out that I experienced swelling on the outer layer of my hair, but underneath it was still straight, which was a new occurrence for me, and I was impressed. I bleached my hair twice in three days and the second day of bleaching my hair it was completely fragile to the point where I literally did not want to brush it because every time I did hair and hair would fall off and I'm talking chunks of hair. I’ve given this product a more than fair amount of uses, at the minimum two dozen, or 24 times. I’ve tried all weather conditions you could think of, inside outside. ⭐️First of all let’s get this out of the way, I was incentivized. I received these samples for free from Influenster and matrix for my honest opinion⭐️ Now that’s out of the way… Oh my hair is loving me right now… I waited until shampoo day and it was well worth it! After using the amazing shampoo I was a little skeptical that my hair would take to this conditioner because it’s so damaged and after I wash it I usually have to put a million and one conditioning products in it just to make it manageable!!! Then I added a little bit of water to make it activate a little bit and VIOLA! I let it sit in my hair for about 5 to 10 minutes and then I rinse with lukewarm water. I gently towel dry my hair afterwards and went to come through with a white tooth comb. This is the first time that the comb actually ran through my hair because my hair is so damaged. I literally want to cry. If your hair is out of control and it’s breaking to no end you should really try this and give it a little time and you will see such a difference. I Bought the travel size Neuro Iron Hairspray. Just as a previous reviewer states, the spray nozzle stopped working. I curled half of my hair and the bottle stopped spraying the product. It was making a hissing sound , but no spray. The canister still has plenty of liquid that I can't use 😕. I have never had a product stop working so quickly. First of all this heat protection it's not for all hair types, I have a coily 4a-4b hair and it wasn't good at all! As soon I applied the spray my hair gets stick and coarse. I like that it supposedly protects your hair from heat, adds volume and at the same time has some hold to it. It would have been a dream come true for a person with fine wavy hair. But unfortunately it underperforms on 2 of those promises. It doesn't really add anything to the volume and it has no hold. There's no way for me to know how well it protects my hair from any heat exposure. I'll finish this bottle, but most likely will not repurchase. I have to say I usually don't like a lot of docent products because it leaves my hair feeling oily, heavy and greasy. But Moroccanoil protect and prevent spray left my hair feeling light weight, shiny and smelling fresh! I just really couldn't get enough of this product so I basically used it throughout the day. I have curly thick hair and bought the Royal Blowout Heat styling Spray and put that in my hair wet and left it to dry i also added my gold lust oil as well. This was perfect my hair felt soft and my curls had lots of bounce. The next day I decided to straighten my hair . I then sprayed my hair with this spray Invisible defense spray to protect it from the hot tools now my hair is dry to start. This spray actually dried my hair out I still straighten my hair as I wanted to see the full results. Bought this a few wks ago. Needed a high heat styling protectant for a new waving iron. Already a devoted user of the oribe color care shampoo and conditioner and the superfine hair spray. This product is excellent! Protected my hair without weighing down, delightful smell but did not bother my allergies, added benefit of sun protection for my colored hair, style held until next wash, hair remained soft and wavy without crispyness or tackiness I've experienced with other products. For the longest time now I have been struggling to find something to make my hair smooth. I live in Georgia and have medium thickness, long, straight hair. The humidity is always crazy and I always have a ton of frizziness and flyaways. This spray is an absolute miracle! My hair is soooo silky and smoothed down without feeling greasy or heavy. I wasn't modest with using it, either. I sprayed it all over my head. My hair also typically takes forever to dry and this literally cut it down to 10 minutes. I use this in place of/as if it's a hair oil/serum and it works better than any hair oil I've tried, and I've just about tried them all. This feels more moisturizing, repairing, smoothing and detangling than all of them, but it's also lighter and doesn't leave residue as long as you don't use way too much, whereas most hair oils either don't do enough, or if I use enough to get the benefits it leaves residue and weighs my hair down-there's no "sweet spot" middle ground. Some even do the latter without doing the former! But this stuff just leaves my hair soft, shiny, smooth and detangled without heaviness, residue, or oiliness. I can and do it it wet and dry, and when used on wet hair it cuts drying time down at least by half. The only thing is because my hair is on the fine side, I never spray it directly in my hair when using on dry hair (on wet hair sometimes I do sometimes I don't, it depends on much moisture my hair feels it needs) as it can get a little oily looking when I do so. Instead, I spray it directly in the palm of my hand, rub it in my hands and then run it through my hair, just like a regular hair oil/serum. Most oils and serums make my hair feel like it has a plastic coating left on it, even if I don't use too much and often without even leaving it feeling moisturized and soft under said coating-sometimes it even feels more dry (but still coated)! But this always just leaves my hair super soft and shiny, never coated, always clean! I also love that unlike the vast majority of hair oils, this is clear and doesn't stain your hair if it's light. A little also goes a long way and I feel like my bottle will last for ages, making it an excellent value since it's already considerably cheaper than many pro hair oils. Last thing- although this product is amazing for blow drying-don't let the name fool you! It is JUST as good for air drying and for use on already dry hair! in fact, those are the two ways in which I primarily use it since I rarely blow dry my hair. I've seen/heard this product be highly recommended throughout the internet and by both hair professionals and consumers alike for over a decade now and I completely understand why now. If this is too heavy for you, then try the Platinum Blow-Dry Mist instead of the spray. It goes on lighter. I've used both and honestly they both work for me, I tend to prefer stronger stuff, lol. Kenra has many choices for this type of product if you look over their line you can find something for your hair type. This one gets the most hype. It's multi purpose, I spray a small amount, not overdo it. I'm not crazy about the smell like many users here but I don't mind it. If I don't use too much the scent is not overpowering. This acts as a styling aid, heat protectant, cuts blow dry time and also I never need any hair smoothing oil afterwards like the bio silk, etc. which saves money. I had frizz damage on the strands of my hair from heat styling and using a curling iron. The curling iron smooths it but then causes more heat damage and it was a vicious cycle for years. But now my hair is all growing out, back to my normal straight/wavy smooth hair of my youth, thanks to not having to use the blow dryer as long or the curling iron. I use that revlon brush dryer now. Also sometimes a Bio ionic curling iron. Low heat setting. Still getting partial highlights with the Olaplex.Nena

I have wavy hair and I decided to give this product a go because of how highly rated it is and I was hoping is would help define my natural waves and give my hair some much needed hydration. I used this product on damp hair after washing and let my hair air dry but this product did NOT make my wavy hair look better, it made my hair look so greasy that it still looked wet after fully drying.
the curl spray is okay for my texture hair and thw look i am aimining for. it is not what i thought it would do for refreshing the curls. i use it to dampen my hair but still use the curl cream to give definition. Where as if i use the leave in conditioner, i find it a better curl refresherAndrea M.
Love this product! Has a nice light fragrance; I have been using it a few times a week for a couple of months. I wish it was more of a mist as the spray is a bit too much of a straight stream for me but may be just a defective spray/pump component. I tend to spray it into my hands and use my finger tips to get it where it needs to go. Will be transferring this to a better bottle when I remember to do so.

I purchased this to deal with my frizzy coarse hair that has been misbehaving badly with all the wet weather in Sydney. The product claims that the styling effect will last up to 3 days or until the next wash. The instructions say to use on damp or wet hair so I use it while drying my hair after a wash. It is heat-activated, so you need a hair dryer, and preferably finish with a flat iron. On my thick long hair I need about 15-20 sprays and comb through. The product does assist with heat protection and styling, and my hair does look smooth and straight as it usually does after using a flat iron. Unfortunately the effects did not even last after one sleep on me – the next day my hair was frizzy again. Maybe it works better on other hair types.Fiona C.

I love this stuff. I spray my whole head and then brush it before I use my curling iron. It seems to help hold the curls and I don't use any other hairspray after. It's not crunchy or sticky at all. I love that it has thermal protection since I usually curl my hair. You can't even tell there's hairspray in my hair after I'm done curling. Starting with the PRO, this spray is awesome after you have styled your hair, particularly with some curls that you want to hold yet you don't want to use stiff hairspray. You could run your fingers through the curls or tousle a little bit as you spray all around your hair. It is an awesome finishing spray! However, the big Con is that it absolutely, positively is an NOT a good thermal styling spray. Some of the positive previous reviews said this product made it shiny and held either a straightener or curling iron pass over. So I sprayed it on my blowdried hair and went ahead and curled my hair with a curling iron. I didn't notice at the time, but at some point later in the day I thought I smelled burning hair. I happen to shower again later that evening and after the shower as my hair fell in my face, without a doubt it was burnt hair smell! I noticed the next morning that a large section of hair just to the right of my temple was gone, maybe an inch'ish away from the scalp! My stomach sank, my face became clammy! That feeling of horror set in. With that said, I honestly have no problem continuing to use the product as a finishing spray, because it is THAT good specifically for that purpose. I was looking for a heat protectant I could use on my fine color-treated hair that would not alter my color or cause product build-up, be sticky or tacky, and would be versatile! I wanted something I could use on damp or dry hair to protect it from heat and this product is great! I use this on damp freshly shampooed and conditioned hair after I put in an anti-snap product and lightweight oil (pre-blow-dry). Before drying I spray a light even mist over my hair and comb through and section off to blow dry. The results are amazing. My style lasts beautifully, feels like silk, and second-day hair requires a slight flat iron touch up (if that for my long bangs). I have no tangling while drying or after, I have no sticky tacky feeling (which is why I hate "hair sprays") except for very few products (one from Kenra (medium hold) and one from a brand not carried by Ulta) when needed. I cannot say enough good things about this product and appreciate the advice I received from one of the Senior Stylists at the Kildeer, IL location who recommended this product. This came highly recommended to me so I was super disappointed when it continually left my hair gummy and sticky. I could barely get a brush through after styling! I tried a few different application techniques but couldn’t bring myself to use it more than 3 or 4 times before throwing it out. I had a bad hair day every single time I used this product and had to wash it out by the end of the day. It has a lot of positive reviews so who knows, maybe it will work for you, but I would not recommend this product if someone asked. There are plenty of other heat protectants out there that do not have this problem.mtfujo
Bought this ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray because my cousin recommended it to me. I stopped using heat protect sprays because they used to be sticky and make my hair hard like hairspray. I choose this product, as I always use heat protection spray on my hair when using my hair straighteners. The product arrived very quickly and has a stylish look about it. The spray bottle is easy to handle and use. I tried the product on my hair after it had been washed and dried, as this is when I usually use this type of product. When sprayed on my hair, I noticed that it had a lovely smell but made my hair appear wet, which I was a bit concerned about, using straighteners on damp hair. I straightening my hair in the usual way applying the spray to each section just before I straightened it. As the product made my hair damp again, I thought it would be difficult to use the straighteners on my hair, but it didn’t, they glided over my hair with ease, not causing any pulling. This smells really good like the shampoo and conditioner. I like that it has a lock and unlock button on the bottle . So when you use it you can unlock it and makes sure nothing spills out and then when your done you push lock and it will lock it for you ! Good with those who have toddlers around and like to play with earthing and anything . This definitely did cut my blow dry time . It was fast and easy . But I didnt think it was anything special. I received Protecting + Silk Blowout (Quick Drying Thermal Spray) for free from Influenster and OGX in exchange for my honest opinion- Let me start off by saying how extremely skeptical I was to use OGX products. I have heard terrible results people have had after using this brand. I decided to try it out for myself. For starters, this thermal spray smells lovely. I would agree it did cut my blow drying time in half and also did dry fairly quickly. This product left my long, curly, thick locks silky smooth and instantly soft! You can definitely tell this thermal spray holds in moisture and is a pretty effective blowout spray. Unfortunately the spray bottle itself needs improvement. I wouldn’t consider this product a mist, it’s almost like a very lightweight conditioner in a bottle. With that being said, I would recommend spraying the product into your hands to evenly distribute. Otherwise you’ll be spreading the product in only certain areas. The nozzle doesn’t exactly like to budge and it comes spraying out like a water hose. The bottle recommend to spray product on damp hair from roots to ends. Although the product does do what it claims to do (cuts blowdrying time in half and protects hair from heat,) OGX needs to recreate a new bottle to make using much more simplified.noel.f

My tried and true is the tresemme heat spray but I wanted to have more options so I tried a few other brands before the verb one, and the other ones sucked. I love this verb shine with heat protection spray though. My hair is on the coarser side and this makes it feel so soft and silky. I normally hate these types of sprayer nozzles and prefer trigger nozzles because I have small hands and these regular ones are difficult for me to use, but surprisingly I'm able to spray this one super easily. It also comes out as a super fine mist which is great. Some other heat protectants leave my hair with a sticky film or make my hair crunchy like hairspray but this one doesn't do that. It makes the hair feel slippery and soft. It also gives your hair a nice shine and smooths it down. The smell isn't my favorite but it's not bad. I tend to like sweet sugary smells and this smells more clean with a musk to it. But it's not bad and it doesn't linger in the hair. I really like this product and I recommend.kelly.e
Only not giving 5 stars because I can't honestly say it gives gloss or shine. I have other verb products that I love. I bought it just for the heat protectant, I had been using dry bar's hot toddy and love that product but cannot deal with the smell. This spray smells PHENOMENAL. I wash and style my hair about once a week and use heat protectant when it's been dry for a day, my hair will usually stay styled for the remaining days. I like that it's not an aerosol (for earth!) but be warned that because it's a spray bottle it does go on and make your hair pretty wet, you just have to give it a few minutes to dry before styling. It is a little sticky as other reviews said but that fades and it does give pretty good hold. I was scared that because it has that stickiness my hair would get messed up when I slept on it, but I was careful putting it up and it looked fine the next day. I don't notice any real benefit other than having a heat protectant but if you're looking for a non aerosol heat protectant that smells AMAZING, this is it.Heather
I received Verb Glossy Shine Spray with Heat Protection free from PinchMe in exchange for an honest review. I really wanted to like this product. I have a head full of 2C and 3A curls. I was very excited about the potential of a product that would provide hydration and shine for everyday use. I dispensed the product into my hands and applied it to my hair that way. Unfortunately, not only did I not experience any moisturizing effects, but it made my hair crispy (regardless of if I applied it to wet or dry hair). I was very disappointed. I was looking forward to writing this review so that I do not have to use this product anymore. I do not use heat to style my hair so I cannot speak to that claim.
