I read all the good reviews and thought it would be a good buy, however when I used it it made my hair feel super snarly!! No matter how careful I was I was just breaking and pulling hair because it was so snarly! I have never had that before not even with hairspray in my hair! It felt weird like a bad hairspray and a greaser…. it was used on hair washed 4 hours prior and was fully dried…. I applied and was ready to Hot Iron my hair, but it was just snarely no matter how I brushed it, it was terrible in my hair and when I was FINALLY done hot ironing it was still just a mess and it felt gross like a film all over my hair…. I would not buy again nor would I recommend it to people I known
It smells like really strong men's cheap cologne. The smell is very masculine. My husband smelled it and even questioned why my hair smelled like a man, and I gave him the bottle to demonstrate. I'm very picky about the scents that I use, and I will be avoiding this just based on the smell. Most people who wear long hair and use a curling iron are women, so you would think a more neutral scent or something feminine would be more suitable. I bought this product because I’ve been needing heat protection for my hair. Chi is an AMAZING brand so this has to be marvelous I thought. Boy was I WRONG!! This was my first time using any kind of heat protector in my life. When I sprayed it on, it felt like hair spray. As soon as I ran my fingers through my damp hair it felt sticky and hard. I started to get bad vibes about this product right away. I ignored the red flag, and continued to blow dry my hair. My hair was a complete mess. Tangled everywhere, breaking apart. Hair was all over the place. And the hair kept getting stuck to my brush and fingers causing me to break it and creating extreme damage. I have red hair at the moment & this product definitely faded the color out. The way it looked afterwards was dry, absolutely shine less, and very brittle. The only thing it did was give me volume. That’s why I gave it two stars. It’s more like 1.5 tbh. I can name a bunch of other products that can give you volume for way less damage. For a first time heat protectant buyer. This was a no no. Started using this product today. At first, I really liked it and thought it was nice overall. Then the smell hit. At first, I was like ah this is interesting. Not bad. But then it got worse. I was like why does this smell like this and what does it remind me of? I didn't quite like the smell, and as I used more of it (because the product itself is great), I then realized: it smells like cat litter. I'm going to return it for the coconut scented one and see if that one is better because the product itself is great. Very lightweight, sprays on easily, isn't sticky or tacky or gross. Left my hair feeling great, nice and soft, and actually made styling my hair a lot easier. It was just the smell that turned me off. I love this stuff. I spray my whole head and then brush it before I use my curling iron. It seems to help hold the curls and I don't use any other hairspray after. It's not crunchy or sticky at all. I love that it has thermal protection since I usually curl my hair. You can't even tell there's hairspray in my hair after I'm done curling. Starting with the PRO, this spray is awesome after you have styled your hair, particularly with some curls that you want to hold yet you don't want to use stiff hairspray. You could run your fingers through the curls or tousle a little bit as you spray all around your hair. It is an awesome finishing spray! However, the big Con is that it absolutely, positively is an NOT a good thermal styling spray. Some of the positive previous reviews said this product made it shiny and held either a straightener or curling iron pass over. So I sprayed it on my blowdried hair and went ahead and curled my hair with a curling iron. I didn't notice at the time, but at some point later in the day I thought I smelled burning hair. I happen to shower again later that evening and after the shower as my hair fell in my face, without a doubt it was burnt hair smell! I was looking for a heat protectant I could use on my fine color-treated hair that would not alter my color or cause product build-up, be sticky or tacky, and would be versatile! I wanted something I could use on damp or dry hair to protect it from heat and this product is great! I use this on damp freshly shampooed and conditioned hair after I put in an anti-snap product and lightweight oil (pre-blow-dry). Before drying I spray a light even mist over my hair and comb through and section off to blow dry. The results are amazing. My style lasts beautifully, feels like silk, and second-day hair requires a slight flat iron touch up (if that for my long bangs). I have no tangling while drying or after, I have no sticky tacky feeling (which is why I hate "hair sprays") except for very few products (one from Kenra (medium hold) and one from a brand not carried by Ulta) when needed. I cannot say enough good things about this product and appreciate the advice I received from one of the Senior Stylists at the Kildeer, IL location who recommended this product. I’ve been using this product for years. If I was reviewing this product a few years ago I’d give it 5 stars. As of late I’ve moved away from heat styling and accepting my natural texture. This product was my best friend for quite a-few years. After blowing out my hair I’d section out my hair and give them a healthy spraying with this spray. I never had any issues with greasiness or stickiness. My hair always looked smooth and stayed nice and soft. This definitely combats frizz and does a nice job protecting against thermal heat. The biggest issue I had with this product is the fragrance. It’s pretty heavy and sweet. It Always made me sneeze! Without fail. Obviously I put up with it, but it definitely irritated my nose. I really like this heat protecting spray, it smells great and it looks like it works so far. I started using it 2 months ago, straight after a fresh cut. Normally after about two months, I see my hair getting damaged, especially the ends, but it's not the case this time. I spray it all over my hair before I blow dry (I have curly hair that I blow dry straight in the winter) and on my roots when I need to freshen up with a straightener. I really love the packing of this product, it looks great and has great functionality. I love how it makes my hair feel. My hair feels so soft when I use this product. After much research, I bought Olaplex 6 + 7 and Kerastase Ciment Thermique at the same time. At first, I liked Olaplex more, until I found myself reaching for the Kerastase more and more until eventually, I exclusively only reach for the Kerastase. Olaplex definitely has a more silicone feel and more slip. My hair gets oily pretty quickly so it wasn't the best for my hair. Kerastase on the other hand…WOW. This stuff makes my hair noticeably more shiny and less frizzy, with no greasy or oily feeling. The second day hair is just as good, if not better! I have been heat styling every other day for 4 months and I credit this product as the reason my hair still doesn't feel or look damaged. This product is on the pricier side but it is worth every penny and a little goes a long way. I've been using this heat protectant for as long as it's been out now, and it's amazing! My hair has been at various lengths over the years, from all the way down to my bottom, to almost to my collar, and now I'm older so it's shoulder length. It has always worked great and I'm assuming always will! I have always had very thin oily hair, so its hard to find products that dont make it worse or weigh it down. I dont understand why people give bad reviews for a broken bottle or spilled bottle etc… it's ridiculous to give something a bad review, when it brings the points down and they haven't even used the product. My hair has never felt healthier in all my years of using protectants. Joico is a fantastic brand, and IronClad was phenomenal. Their new Hero with added shine is still difficult for me to adjust. I have long thick wavy hair that gets dry easy. I wash with all soft redken brand shampoo/conditioner. While wet, I add "United" Redken all over and I normally let it air dry (blow drying works fine too) I use hot tools at its highest setting (450) to straighten my hair. I would take sections, spray iron clad directly on my hair and style, and immediately after, my hair felt soft, light and never did more with it. Just perfect. Hero adds a gloss that makes your hair feel heavier in the beginning. I've adjusted by using less, spraying further away, but the results are the same. It's like my hair has to dry all over again. I still recommend this product since they no longer make my beloved IronClad. But just be warned, if you don't have dry hair, this will make your hair appear oily. I used it as suggested, and it leaves my hair dry, sticky, and dull. I really hate it. I don't feel like it protects my hair. It makes it worse.T

I have purchased and repurchased the @evanyc Mane Magic 10-in-1 primer so many times. I always loved the way it gave shine to my hair and protected it from the continual blow dry. I did notice that, though it didn’t claim to, it did cut down on my dry time a smidge. I think something about the moisturizing oil ingredients helped to wick away the water. Anyway, this product does everything the Eva NYC Mane Magic does…except even better! It smells SO good. I wish I could describe the scent, but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s perfume-like without being too much. It has an excellent fine mist that makes even distribution a breeze. My hair is even shinier and less frizzy than with the Eva NYC. This product really does reduce dry time! I was blown away, lol honestly! I have very thick, full, medium length hair that typically takes a half hour to blow dry (that’s after the towel and air dry for a half hour). With this, it’s more like 15-20 minutes. That’s a huge difference for me! Also, my hair feels smoother when I use this, and I haven’t noticed any weigh down on my roots when I use this all over. I received this complimentary RedKen Styling Blowout VoxBox from Influenster and RedKen for my review. I received RedKen Quick Blowout and RedKen Big Blowout. These two work so great together! My hair has never been as straight, frizz free and shiny as it does with RedKen Quick Blowout. My dry time is cut in half with this one and I was impressed. My hair is curly/ wavy and tends to have quite a bit of frizz. If I add the RedKen Big Blowout right before my hair is dry. It gives me the instant volume, sleekness and shine I would find from flat ironing! No flat iron needed, however with the added heat protection why not 😉 My hair feels soft, smooth and looks frizz free and shiny all day. And they smell amazing! I never write reviews, but I had to for this. This is the worst product I've ever used in my entire life. As I am writing this I'm trying to get a brush through my hair after drying it with this product. It took me twice as long to blow dry it because it just turned into one big knot. I know how primers work because I've use the L'Oreal one multiple times with no issue. This made my hair dry, knotty, and extremely hard to blow dry or straighten. I'm going to have to wash my hair again after just washing it to get this product out of my hair. I don't know what the deal is with Redken or Ulta but it seems like the Redken products that I bought from Ulta recently have been terrible. I purchased this product since I was looking to try a new brand of heat protectant. I really liked the scent, but I don't know that it is super effective for my hair. I found it odd that the instructions said to apply to dry hair, and I blow dry my hair so I ended up using a different heat protector on my wet hair. I used this prior to straightening my hair and it smelled good, but I guess hard to tell if it is effective since my hair still experienced the same issues with frizz/dryness that I did prior to using this. I also dislike the sprayer, it is very concentrated in one area so I ended up spraying in my hands and running through my hair so it could be evenly dispersed.abuff0916
This formula smells pretty nice and did seem to do a decent job helping to protect the hair. It added a little bit of shine as well. However, I do wish it helped to smooth the hair and control frizz better. I mostly liked to use it if I needed to refresh my hair and restyle especially if I was on second-day hair. I would spritz some product where needed and touch up with a blow dryer to smooth and style my hair again. I also used it when I needed to touch up my daughter's hair and preferred using it over plain water or a detangler spray. I'd probably only repurchase this for use on my young daughter's hair, it will be nice to protect her hair for when we have to blow dry it as well. For myself, I already have a cream that helps to smooth my hair and fight frizz better than this did, it also protects against heat. Like: the smell- it’s delish! Dislike: The stickiness/residue of it afterwards. If I got any on my hand, it would stick and feel not so great. Also, make sure to brush/comb your hair as soon as you spray it. I found that it kind of hardened if not brushed/combed out properly. Still trying it out- so I can’t see for sure if it’s working or not just yet. Definitely better than not using a heat protectant at all. Still in search of a heat protectant, sadly this one isn’t for me—far too greasy. You’re supposed to avoid the roots but that’s pretty hard if you have a pixie cut. Even a light application weighs my hair down and looks too greasy. I think if the nozzle allowed a more fine mist then it would work far better…but despite household cleaners having this ‘technology’ that lets you spritz or stream, beauty products never make a mister that will accommodate various strengths. So I end up having to place this so far from my head, to avoid the dang roots, that I feel I’m spraying the mirror and my face as much as my hair. If you have shoulder length or longer hair, this isn’t an awful product…but regardless of length, if you have oil prone or super thin hair I’d avoid! Meanwhile I’m just turning the heat lower on my flat iron as that seems to work just as well.
My hair has never looked so good! I love it. I use it before I curl or straighten my hair and I only use it on the last 4-5 inches of my hair. The first time I tried it, I thought it was going to be really oily but it dries as you go and leaves the hair soft and smooth, and a nice finished look. I do like this, works good when you do not over spray. Can be very greasy on finer hair types so use sparingly. A little goes a long way with this product. I have thin hair that gets weighed down easily. Heat protectants that I've used in the past don't always mix well with other styling products, and I've tried so many combinations over so many years, leaving me feel hopeless! I was so excited to get this to use with my LeDuo360 and LeVolume, but first spray and…I smell ALCOHOL?1? Yes, the first ingredient is Alcohol. WHY? Yes, it says karatin infused (9th ingredient) and other goodies, but alcohol? Two types of alcohol in this! So my already dry hair will not be getting a dosing of a more drying ingredient. I am very confused by the rave reviews when this clearly SMELLS like alcohol and also evaporates like alcohol, so HOW is it helping the hair?? Spray it on your hand…it's GONE within a few seconds- if you're putting it on your hair, it's gone before you get the flat iron/dryer/styler or anything else to work with. Placebo effect for the dazzling reviews?? I'm just stumped. I’m giving 5 stars bc I love your products! I ordered a few things during your annual sale. All items showed in stock. Only, after the order, did I get told one thing was on back order and the whole order wouldn’t be shipped bc of one item. I’m even paying for shipping so it wasn’t even free shipping. The shipping took forever. Literally, a month. I’m not sure if I chose the right things for my hair or if I just honestly don’t like them. The tops of the shampoo and conditioner bottles are poorly designed and hard to squeeze. In two attempts to wash my hair I had to squeeze so hard that when it did come out half the bottle sprayed onto my wall and was wasted. I didn’t expect it to help with flakiness much but it didn’t work for making my scalp less itchy either. I can’t speak to the effectiveness of the Thermal Magique because I’ve been too discouraged by how it and the Sorbet feel in my hair to style it. I've never seen anything like this. It's every bit a miracle product. Total transformation. I'm 45 and this thin, white cream distributes fast to detangle and smooth my freshly shampooed hair. After blow drying, I was NO LESS THAN FLOORED. I swear my hair looks and feels like I'm a kid again with no sign of split ends or damage at all. I've tried literally everything; Brazilian blow outs, having my ends infused with hot oils and every mask and treatment under the sun whether at home or at the shampoo bowl at the salon, and at every possible price point. This is by far transformational and the results are instant. I recommend using about a dime size for long hair and start applying on the mid-shaft to ends concentrating on any damage. Me: Age: 47 Ethnicity: mixed (black and white) Hair type: 2c/3a curly hair, shoulder length, heavily highlighted Overall health: Good-Excellent Ok.. so I'm in pretty good health, drink a ton of water per day and my hair is great condition considering all I've done to it I've the years. I've been highlighting it every 3 months for almost 2 years now. I use WEN Conditioning Shampoo for the days I wear it straight and I use Aunt Jackie's curl products for washing and conditioning for the days I wear it curly. When I wear it straight, I use Olaplex prior to a blow dry and Verb Ghost Oil post blow dry. Every blue moon, in addition to the blow dry, I'll use either a curling iron or a flat iron. I only need to wash my hair like every 7 or 8 days. My hair and scalp are healthy, never dry, never oily. Now…onto the B&B Repair Blow Dry. Post wash, I wrapped my hair using a microfiber towel and it was on for about 25 minutes while I dried myself off, lotioned up , deodorant, brushed teeth and washed face. When I removed the towel my hair was probably 40% dry. I added in total about a quarter size of the product, focusing mid-shaft to ends and January residue near top. I used my Wet brush to brush the product through my hair. What I noticed: Drying time was reduced maybe by about 30%. Yes, my hair felt soft. There is a definite reduction in flyaways. The smell is faint and in my opinion neither good or bad. I can tell a slight change to my hair texture (for the good) but not to the degree that some have insinuated. Its possible that may change when I clarify before my next wash. To wrap up, I used a couple dabs of Olaplex oil and my hair looks and feels great! To note: It has been in the high 90s as far as humidity percentage here in Atlanta for weeks on end. I was skeptical but this is so worth it. It completely changed the texture, density and age of my hair, I never thought this possible. Imagine the childlike hair you had before you discovered chemicals and product, maybe middle school. What was your hair like then? Hold that image in your mind then shampoo/condition as usual and then towel dry. Now, apply this starting with a dime sized amount but only from mid-shaft to ends and comb through with your detangling brush. (You won't need a leave-in conditioner or detangling product.) Now, apply another dime sized if needed (if you have long or chemically treated hair like me) only to the ends. You can now let dry naturally or blow dry. I blow dry and it completely changed my hair, it's unrecognizable. My husband who has this sort of frizzy gray Albert Einstein thing going on tried it and just WOW. He looks 40 again (he's 62.) My hair looks 12 again, I'm 45. It does seem to give my hair some hold when using heat tools so after styling I give a light spray and I'm done. Good until the next wash, usually 3-4 days. Don't add it to the roots because it will weigh the root area down. This penetrates the hair shaft that is porous and rejuvenates. The lasting effect is there with ongoing use. I loved having the opportunity to try this heat protectant smoothing lotion in exchange for my honest review. The 6.6 oz retails for $29 on the pureology website. That price seems pretty fair. I have long hair and I usually use about 2 or three pumps. It smells great and smooths any frizz. Also, a lot of people skip the heat protectant step before they blow dry, flat iron or curl, and the professionals will tell you that’s a big mistake. Especially for color treated hair. This lotion is great. It feels very lightweight, I have oily scalp and hair that is tend to be greasy fast and yet very frizzy due to highlights and straightening. I was glad to find out that this lotion is not greasy or sticky and doesn’t weigh my hair down and It does help protect my hair from heat treatment and it’s noticeable. After two week of use I noticed that it helped my hair look smoother and less frizzy. I actually liked the result so much that I even take the time to use my hair straightener more frequently. The only single drawback is the scent, I wish it was less peachy and last shorter. Not to my liking anyway. I really enjoyed the shampoo from this line, but I feel the conditioner & smoothing cream are too heavy for my hair type. I shampoo and style my hair once a week and with the use of this product I had to shampoo after 2 days due to itchy scalp and just overall weighing my hair down. I use another high end line smoothing creams and I can go 6-7 days without shampooing. I’m all about that dry shampoo life. Sad to write a bad review since I am absolutely obsessed with Kerastase products. They’re the only products I use. This product left my hair feeling less smooth than normal and actually took away some shine. Maybe it’s just not compatible with my hair type..I have naturally dry curly hair, I tried it multiple times to give it a chance. My hair looks best without this product. I use the Dyson air wrap curler and found this product amazing. The bounce can often fall, but with the product it stayed for the whole day. I was sceptical about the restyling, but my hair held its style when I styled using heat over the following days. Top tip you really don’t need a lot. I over did it on the first attempt.D
Super light, smells nice but not too strong. I use about 1 pump on my towel dried hair, blow dry, then straighten. My hair looks much healthier when I use it (less frizz and more shine) and it doesn’t feel sticky or weighed down at all. I’ve tried a lot of other serums but this one is the best by far. It takes away all of the frizziness, and is formulated to be gentle for sensitive or color treated hair, which as someone who has dyed their hair, I truly appreciate. This has the same beautiful smell that the shampoo and conditioner from this line has, something I can't put my finger on. I absolutely love the Kerastase Chroma Absolu Serum Chroma Thermique Hair Serum! I usually don't like leaving products because they have my hair feeling dry or weird. I used the serum as part of the Kerastase Chroma Absolu system and I definitely think it's my favorite serum I've ever tried. I use the serum on towel dried hair and woke up to beautiful soft hair that had some definition without any styling. The spray function really helped get coverage over my hair easily. I got so many compliments and was told how healthy my hair looked. I am definitely going to be buying more of this serum and making it part of my regular hair routine!zomgtina
Kerastase Chroma Absolu Bain Serum has been a game changer! I have medium length, straight, thick, dry hair, and I am always concerned about using heat products. I have been following the instructions and applying a chestnut sized amount onto my towel dried hair, prior to blow drying it. I have been making sure that I only apply the product towards the length and ends of my hair – not on my scalp. I used just a blow dryer and a round brush to style my hair for the first time, after using this primer. Once I was completely done drying my hair, I noticed that my hair still had some volume, and even some shine to it! It looked healthy and hydrated and there was so much less frizz than normal. I usually always have to flat iron my hair after blow drying it, because the ends still look terrible, and the frizz is out of control. Not this time though! I was so shocked and surprised by the outcome. I would absolutely purchase this product and incorporate it to my hair care routine. I would recommend this product!!Sarika

I have a Dyson and I blow-dry my hair every time I shower, but on certain days I definitely started to notice my hair getting frizzy and I was looking for a product to protect it from the constant heat use and tame the frizz. I received this product to test from influenseter, and I was really excited because it sounded like it would be helpful in protecting and taming my hair. I used this product on slightly damp hair (wrapped my hair up in a towel for awhile before using) and then blow dried.I definitely noticed a difference in the smoothness and frizziness of my hair – it seemed like the flyaways were much more tame and I had a sleeker overall stye. Compared to blowdrying damp hair without any product on it, my hair feels so much nicer and just looks more polished, which is exactly what I was looking for. Also, the bottle that it comes in is really convenient – you just twist the bottom and squeeze so you get the right amount of product without any hassle. I also prefer the balm to the spray version of this, has i feel like I can control how much product I use and more evenly comb it throughout my damp hair. Overall, I really liked the result and definitely am excited to see if the Keratin/protein aspect strengthens and repairs my hair over time with continued use. Would buy again!karmx258
I love the way this makes my hair look and feel. More than my Olaplex No. 6 that I’m trying to use up so that I can use this product full-time. I have wavy hair that frizzes up and ruins my blowout if it’s humid or if I’m sweating due to the heat. This keeps my hair smooth in those conditions, which my Olaplex and Color Wow Dream Coat couldn’t do. An added bonus was that it gives my hair a little bit of weight (not to be confused with weighed down). I’m always looking for volume to compensate for my gradual hair loss. But because I lack that density, a breeze or just normal movement can make my hair look messy, if that makes sense. This balm helps keep my hair looking neat and almost thickened. Lately, I've been very frustrated with dull, frizzy and dry hair even after blowdrying and trying to make it look nice. I've always been the type of girl to leave my hair naturally or use a straightener and when I bought the revlon blow dry brush I knew I needed a heat protectant to ease damage on my hair. FIRST, this product smells amazing and SECOND after I'm done blow drying my hair my hair is shinny, soft, smells good and it make the heat damage disappear.
