I love this stuff. I spray my whole head and then brush it before I use my curling iron. It seems to help hold the curls and I don't use any other hairspray after. It's not crunchy or sticky at all. I love that it has thermal protection since I usually curl my hair. You can't even tell there's hairspray in my hair after I'm done curling. Starting with the PRO, this spray is awesome after you have styled your hair, particularly with some curls that you want to hold yet you don't want to use stiff hairspray. You could run your fingers through the curls or tousle a little bit as you spray all around your hair. It is an awesome finishing spray! However, the big Con is that it absolutely, positively is an NOT a good thermal styling spray. Some of the positive previous reviews said this product made it shiny and held either a straightener or curling iron pass over. So I sprayed it on my blowdried hair and went ahead and curled my hair with a curling iron. I didn't notice at the time, but at some point later in the day I thought I smelled burning hair. I happen to shower again later that evening and after the shower as my hair fell in my face, without a doubt it was burnt hair smell! I noticed the next morning that a large section of hair just to the right of my temple was gone, maybe an inch'ish away from the scalp! My stomach sank, my face became clammy! I was looking for a heat protectant I could use on my fine color-treated hair that would not alter my color or cause product build-up, be sticky or tacky, and would be versatile! I wanted something I could use on damp or dry hair to protect it from heat and this product is great! I use this on damp freshly shampooed and conditioned hair after I put in an anti-snap product and lightweight oil (pre-blow-dry). Before drying I spray a light even mist over my hair and comb through and section off to blow dry. The results are amazing. My style lasts beautifully, feels like silk, and second-day hair requires a slight flat iron touch up (if that for my long bangs). I have no tangling while drying or after, I have no sticky tacky feeling (which is why I hate "hair sprays") except for very few products (one from Kenra (medium hold) and one from a brand not carried by Ulta) when needed. I’ve been using this product for years. If I was reviewing this product a few years ago I’d give it 5 stars. As of late I’ve moved away from heat styling and accepting my natural texture. This product was my best friend for quite a-few years. After blowing out my hair I’d section out my hair and give them a healthy spraying with this spray. I never had any issues with greasiness or stickiness. My hair always looked smooth and stayed nice and soft. This definitely combats frizz and does a nice job protecting against thermal heat. The biggest issue I had with this product is the fragrance. It’s pretty heavy and sweet. It Always made me sneeze! Without fail. Obviously I put up with it, but it definitely irritated my nose. For the longest time now I have been struggling to find something to make my hair smooth. I live in Georgia and have medium thickness, long, straight hair. I use this in place of/as if it's a hair oil/serum and it works better than any hair oil I've tried, and I've just about tried them all. This feels more moisturizing, repairing, smoothing and detangling than all of them, but it's also lighter and doesn't leave residue as long as you don't use way too much, whereas most hair oils either don't do enough, or if I use enough to get the benefits it leaves residue and weighs my hair down-there's no "sweet spot" middle ground. Some even do the latter without doing the former! But this stuff just leaves my hair soft, shiny, smooth and detangled without heaviness, residue, or oiliness. I can and do it it wet and dry, and when used on wet hair it cuts drying time down at least by half. The only thing is because my hair is on the fine side, I never spray it directly in my hair when using on dry hair (on wet hair sometimes I do sometimes I don't, it depends on much moisture my hair feels it needs) as it can get a little oily looking when I do so. Instead, I spray it directly in the palm of my hand, rub it in my hands and then run it through my hair, just like a regular hair oil/serum. Most oils and serums make my hair feel like it has a plastic coating left on it, even if I don't use too much and often without even leaving it feeling moisturized and soft under said coating-sometimes it even feels more dry (but still coated)! But this always just leaves my hair super soft and shiny, never coated, always clean! I also love that unlike the vast majority of hair oils, this is clear and doesn't stain your hair if it's light. A little also goes a long way and I feel like my bottle will last for ages, making it an excellent value since it's already considerably cheaper than many pro hair oils. Last thing- although this product is amazing for blow drying-don't let the name fool you! It is JUST as good for air drying and for use on already dry hair! in fact, those are the two ways in which I primarily use it since I rarely blow dry my hair. I've seen/heard this product be highly recommended throughout the internet and by both hair professionals and consumers alike for over a decade now and I completely understand why now. If this is too heavy for you, then try the Platinum Blow-Dry Mist instead of the spray. It goes on lighter. I've used both and honestly they both work for me, I tend to prefer stronger stuff, lol. Kenra has many choices for this type of product if you look over their line you can find something for your hair type. This one gets the most hype. It's multi purpose, I spray a small amount, not overdo it. I'm not crazy about the smell like many users here but I don't mind it. If I don't use too much the scent is not overpowering. This acts as a styling aid, heat protectant, cuts blow dry time and also I never need any hair smoothing oil afterwards like the bio silk, etc. which saves money. I had frizz damage on the strands of my hair from heat styling and using a curling iron. The curling iron smooths it but then causes more heat damage and it was a vicious cycle for years. First things first, this product was sent to me by Oribe and Influenster via a Oribe Vox Box in exchange for my honest opinion. I want to tell you all about the state of my hair at the time I used this product. I had just gone from a medium brown hair color to a platinum blonde with 3 bleach sessions and 4 toning sessions over the course of 2 months. My hair was generally speaking pretty healthy before I made the transition and during the transition I did my best to keep it as healthy as possible. BUT…. My hair was still pretty damaged when I first used this product and the heating tools I used with it was a hot brush by Revlon. Now the fun part! The testing! I used this after my shower and after using Oribe Masque (I have given a honest review about that product as well) I followed the directions and used it as it says on the packaging to the T. In my honest opinion, I did not like it. I have always hated it when my hair gets oily and the product was very oily. I guess because it's supposed to make your hair feel silky soft but I've never been a fan of products that claim to make your hair feel like silk. The next day I noticed my hair felt really greasy and I needed to wash it. I usually don't wash my hair that often so it was unfortunate and very annoying that I had to wash it again the next day. On Sephora.com I looked up this product just to see how much it is retail price and honestly, for that price it's not worth it. That's just in my opinion! I do strongly recommend you to try it for yourself but if you're like me and don't like greasy oily residue left on your hair after a shower then I would not recommend to get it. I received this for free in my complimentary #VoxBox about 2 weeks ago. This is a heat protectant spray that claims to have tons of amazing benefits for your hair, such as repairing split ends, speeding up dry time and just reviving your hair in general. You’re supposed to spray this SPARINGLY on damp hair before blow drying for optimal results. I used as directed the first time and noticed right away that it was very heavily fragranced, which is something I do enjoy. The scent also lasts a couple days! The mist is quite slick and oil-like. I feel like it did speed up the drying process and my hair was significantly less frizzy upon use. My husband noticed that too, which is saying something. 😂 Other days I also sprayed this in my palms and worked it into the ends of my hair when styling with a straightener. I have mixed feelings about Kenra in general. I’ve had an allergic reaction to the shampoo before so I was a little hesitant about trying anything else. If your hair doesn't hold a curl well maybe you would like it, but it's a sticky mess. Makes my hair hard, tacky and dry feeling all at the same time. I have never had problems with breakage, literally ever. I have quite healthy hair in general, but I thought it would be a good idea to start using a heat protectant for when I curl my hair. This is the only new product I've used on my hair, so this has to be the culprit. I've had spots of my hair literally just break off in very small sections. I have thin wispy bangs that I did not have before. And several inches of hair break off above my ears. The first ingredient in this product is Alcohol denat. After looking this up, it is TERRIBLE to use on your hair. It dries, frizzes and damages the hair follicle over time. It completely sucks out all natural oils and damages the hair. I used this after slowly bringing my hair from a level 10 or above back down to a level 8 for the colder months. I also wanted a colour to blend with my natural root shade which is about a level 8 as well. Plus I didn't want the damage associated with using a permanent dye. So I thought a Demi would be good because I do not have grays and I don't mind it only lasting up to 24 shampoos. So I purchased this in 8A as I really like ashy tones it said light ash blonde on the box. But I think this come out a touch darker. They say with Wella colour to go 2 shades less because their shades run darker. 8A though is a perfect match for my roots. It's actually a touch lighter but that makes it blend perfectly and it looks so natural.I applied this with a squeeze bottle because I used Kenra 9vol Demi developer and that has a liquidy texture. This was very easy to apply and I left it on for about 15 minutes. I deep conditioned after and my hair feels and looks great! I love the colour it is a beautiful ashy blonde shade with so much shine my roots look darker but it looks like a natural blonde hair colour. I was using high lift and had to do so much upkeep when I had my hair super silvery white. Now I can just focus on the health of my hair, which is great since this dye made my hair feel great. Its also super shiny and I use Argan and Marula oil and my hair feels healthy.I will repurchase this dye as it gives me the colour i want with minimal damage. My hair has never felt healthier in all my years of using protectants. Joico is a fantastic brand, and IronClad was phenomenal. Their new Hero with added shine is still difficult for me to adjust. I have long thick wavy hair that gets dry easy. I wash with all soft redken brand shampoo/conditioner. While wet, I add "United" Redken all over and I normally let it air dry (blow drying works fine too) I use hot tools at its highest setting (450) to straighten my hair. I would take sections, spray iron clad directly on my hair and style, and immediately after, my hair felt soft, light and never did more with it. Just perfect. Hero adds a gloss that makes your hair feel heavier in the beginning. I've adjusted by using less, spraying further away, but the results are the same. It's like my hair has to dry all over again. I still recommend this product since they no longer make my beloved IronClad. But just be warned, if you don't have dry hair, this will make your hair appear oily. Just remember, it locks in moisture (as it should) so for those of us with very dry hair, it still is a great purchase to makeEmpress86

I used it as suggested, and it leaves my hair dry, sticky, and dull. I really hate it. I don't feel like it protects my hair. It makes it worse.T

I have purchased and repurchased the @evanyc Mane Magic 10-in-1 primer so many times. I always loved the way it gave shine to my hair and protected it from the continual blow dry. I did notice that, though it didn’t claim to, it did cut down on my dry time a smidge. I think something about the moisturizing oil ingredients helped to wick away the water. Anyway, this product does everything the Eva NYC Mane Magic does…except even better! It smells SO good. I wish I could describe the scent, but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s perfume-like without being too much. It has an excellent fine mist that makes even distribution a breeze. My hair is even shinier and less frizzy than with the Eva NYC. This product really does reduce dry time! I was blown away, lol honestly! I have very thick, full, medium length hair that typically takes a half hour to blow dry (that’s after the towel and air dry for a half hour). With this, it’s more like 15-20 minutes. That’s a huge difference for me! Also, my hair feels smoother when I use this, and I haven’t noticed any weigh down on my roots when I use this all over. I received this complimentary RedKen Styling Blowout VoxBox from Influenster and RedKen for my review. I received RedKen Quick Blowout and RedKen Big Blowout. These two work so great together! My hair has never been as straight, frizz free and shiny as it does with RedKen Quick Blowout. My dry time is cut in half with this one and I was impressed. My hair is curly/ wavy and tends to have quite a bit of frizz. If I add the RedKen Big Blowout right before my hair is dry. It gives me the instant volume, sleekness and shine I would find from flat ironing! No flat iron needed, however with the added heat protection why not 😉 My hair feels soft, smooth and looks frizz free and shiny all day. And they smell amazing! I will definitely recommend these to friends and family. It's a little on the pricey side but I would buy these products in the future! My hair is beautiful! I never write reviews, but I had to for this. This is the worst product I've ever used in my entire life. As I am writing this I'm trying to get a brush through my hair after drying it with this product. It took me twice as long to blow dry it because it just turned into one big knot. I know how primers work because I've use the L'Oreal one multiple times with no issue. This made my hair dry, knotty, and extremely hard to blow dry or straighten. I'm going to have to wash my hair again after just washing it to get this product out of my hair. Started using this product today. At first, I really liked it and thought it was nice overall. Then the smell hit. At first, I was like ah this is interesting. Not bad. But then it got worse. I was like why does this smell like this and what does it remind me of? I didn't quite like the smell, and as I used more of it (because the product itself is great), I then realized: it smells like cat litter. I'm going to return it for the coconut scented one and see if that one is better because the product itself is great. Very lightweight, sprays on easily, isn't sticky or tacky or gross. Left my hair feeling great, nice and soft, and actually made styling my hair a lot easier. It was just the smell that turned me off. I received Protecting + Silk Blowout (Quick Drying Thermal Spray) for free from Influenster and OGX in exchange for my honest opinion- Let me start off by saying how extremely skeptical I was to use OGX products. I have heard terrible results people have had after using this brand. I decided to try it out for myself. For starters, this thermal spray smells lovely. I would agree it did cut my blow drying time in half and also did dry fairly quickly. This product left my long, curly, thick locks silky smooth and instantly soft! You can definitely tell this thermal spray holds in moisture and is a pretty effective blowout spray. Unfortunately the spray bottle itself needs improvement. I wouldn’t consider this product a mist, it’s almost like a very lightweight conditioner in a bottle. With that being said, I would recommend spraying the product into your hands to evenly distribute. Otherwise you’ll be spreading the product in only certain areas. The nozzle doesn’t exactly like to budge and it comes spraying out like a water hose. The bottle recommend to spray product on damp hair from roots to ends. Although the product does do what it claims to do (cuts blowdrying time in half and protects hair from heat,) OGX needs to recreate a new bottle to make using much more simplified.noel.f

I’ve been using this product for years. If I was reviewing this product a few years ago I’d give it 5 stars. As of late I’ve moved away from heat styling and accepting my natural texture. This product was my best friend for quite a-few years. After blowing out my hair I’d section out my hair and give them a healthy spraying with this spray. I never had any issues with greasiness or stickiness. My hair always looked smooth and stayed nice and soft. This definitely combats frizz and does a nice job protecting against thermal heat. The biggest issue I had with this product is the fragrance. It’s pretty heavy and sweet. It Always made me sneeze! Without fail. Obviously I put up with it, but it definitely irritated my nose. I purchased this product since I was looking to try a new brand of heat protectant. I really liked the scent, but I don't know that it is super effective for my hair. I found it odd that the instructions said to apply to dry hair, and I blow dry my hair so I ended up using a different heat protector on my wet hair. I used this prior to straightening my hair and it smelled good, but I guess hard to tell if it is effective since my hair still experienced the same issues with frizz/dryness that I did prior to using this. I also dislike the sprayer, it is very concentrated in one area so I ended up spraying in my hands and running through my hair so it could be evenly dispersed.abuff0916
This formula smells pretty nice and did seem to do a decent job helping to protect the hair. It added a little bit of shine as well. However, I do wish it helped to smooth the hair and control frizz better. I mostly liked to use it if I needed to refresh my hair and restyle especially if I was on second-day hair. I would spritz some product where needed and touch up with a blow dryer to smooth and style my hair again. I also used it when I needed to touch up my daughter's hair and preferred using it over plain water or a detangler spray. I'd probably only repurchase this for use on my young daughter's hair, it will be nice to protect her hair for when we have to blow dry it as well. For myself, I already have a cream that helps to smooth my hair and fight frizz better than this did, it also protects against heat. Like: the smell- it’s delish! Dislike: The stickiness/residue of it afterwards. If I got any on my hand, it would stick and feel not so great. Also, make sure to brush/comb your hair as soon as you spray it. I found that it kind of hardened if not brushed/combed out properly. Still trying it out- so I can’t see for sure if it’s working or not just yet. Definitely better than not using a heat protectant at all. Still in search of a heat protectant, sadly this one isn’t for me—far too greasy. You’re supposed to avoid the roots but that’s pretty hard if you have a pixie cut. Even a light application weighs my hair down and looks too greasy. I think if the nozzle allowed a more fine mist then it would work far better…but despite household cleaners having this ‘technology’ that lets you spritz or stream, beauty products never make a mister that will accommodate various strengths. So I end up having to place this so far from my head, to avoid the dang roots, that I feel I’m spraying the mirror and my face as much as my hair. If you have shoulder length or longer hair, this isn’t an awful product…but regardless of length, if you have oil prone or super thin hair I’d avoid! Meanwhile I’m just turning the heat lower on my flat iron as that seems to work just as well.

I ADORE the smell. It is very beachy / coconut, lasts all day. This product is GREAT for heat protection and shine / detangling. However, I have thin / fine hair and this is way too greasy / oily. Lets start with the ONLY "con"- my local Ulta doesn't always have it in stock. I have very curly, somewhat frizzy hair and I live in Texas so the humidity makes my hair completely unmanageable. I recently had several inches of hair cut off, my stylist used Trilliant before she used the blow dryer and a second slight mist before straightening my hair. My hair has never looked or felt better! I wrote down what product she used on me and went directly to Ulta to pick it up. This product is great! I use it to help protect my fine, curly, color treated, prone to breakage hair from heat tools. It is a pricey item being anywhere from $16-$19 a bottle. If I'm using it almost everyday during the week the bottle could last me 4-6 weeks. (I have long hair) Just keep that in mind when purchasing this product. I feel it's worth every penny though. I'm a low income woman but this is one product I go back to again and again. One other thing, it does feel a little sticky in your hair when you first spray it I usually spray this product in my hands and rub it in between them in order to not have that feeling as much, but after you use your hot tool that feeling goes away! I allow my hair to mostly air dry before spritzing and using a styling blow dry brush. It smells okay and works okay but is nothing to rave about. If I use too much, it can feel a bit sticky. This is not a particularly moisturizing product if that is something you need to take into consideration. The shimmer content, while observable when shaking the bottle, does not appear to do much for my hair. For the price, I definitely think I can do better. My hair is pretty relaxed for having natural curly mixed hair. But I am in my 40s , so unfortunately, (unlike the rest of my body) it's thinning. U don't need a whole lot, with this stuff, a little bit goes a looong way! Focus on the ends , sometimes it gets greasy! But I love how this product helps with frizziness, protects from heat & brings shine to the hair!
I don't know when or where i purchased this from. However, a few weeks ago I was going through my products and found this. I sprayed it on my hair right before drying it. I was completely amazed and so happy I found it because it made my hair so soft, light, sleek, smooth and it smells good! It didnt leave a heavy oily texture like other products do. I thought to myself, "this has gotta be a professional product from a salon." I just looked it up online because I've already used it all on myself and my daughter. A little goes a long way. I promise this product will surprise you. I can't stop touching my hair! It's so silky!!
I am absolutely obsessed with the smell of this. I have very fine hair and find it easier for me to spray some into my hands and rake it through my hair that way to get it evenly distributed without using too much, otherwise it can get greasy on me using it directly from the sprayer. Very fine mist though and considering how little you need to coat your hair, it's a really good value. I can see this bottle lasting me the rest of the year if not longer.

Sad to write a bad review since I am absolutely obsessed with Kerastase products. They’re the only products I use. This product left my hair feeling less smooth than normal and actually took away some shine. Maybe it’s just not compatible with my hair type..I have naturally dry curly hair, I tried it multiple times to give it a chance. My hair looks best without this product. I use the Dyson air wrap curler and found this product amazing. The bounce can often fall, but with the product it stayed for the whole day. I was sceptical about the restyling, but my hair held its style when I styled using heat over the following days. Top tip you really don’t need a lot. I over did it on the first attempt.D
Super light, smells nice but not too strong. I use about 1 pump on my towel dried hair, blow dry, then straighten. My hair looks much healthier when I use it (less frizz and more shine) and it doesn’t feel sticky or weighed down at all. I’ve tried a lot of other serums but this one is the best by far. Im in love with this. I have straight fine hair, BUT, I change colours every time. At the end, I struggle to have a beautiful long hair every day. THIS product just change that completely. it lasts a lot on the hair, I did a 2day test without wash it didnt get heavy, it didnt get greasy and it still kept my hair straight and easy to comb.
