The ConairMan Barbershop Series Professional Clippers performed extremely well in extremely thick, dense hair. Minimal to no snagging. The only snags were really due to squirming when I was trimming my son's hair. The vibration level is consistent with several other brands/models of trimmers/clippers I have used in the past several years. Ease of use was fairly standard. It seems like as time passes, haircuts are getting more and more expensive. Before I was able to go get a haircut every other week if not weekly, now I try to hold off as much as I can or else it'll just burn a whole through my pocket. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, it's more convenient to just cut your own hair at home. The ConairMan Barbershop Series Professional Clipper is as good as it gets. Even before trying the clipper you can feel the sturdiness and quality in your hand. It's not those light flimsy cordless clippers; it's a classic barber's clipper that has some weight to it, but still feels comfortable enough in your hands. I didn't experience any tugging with the blades and it went through my hair with ease. I was able to get the fade I wanted using no guard and the 3mm which is basically what I ask for when I go to the barber shop so, really happy I can just do this at home. Clipper comes with 8 guards but most likely if ever I'll just be using 3 or 4 guards depends on my hair length, but good to have more if needing to cut a friend's hair or some member of the family that has long hair. I would have preferred if the guards had it's own little pouch or case for easier organization as well as the scissors and comb. There's no dividers in the case, so things get scattered around. I think dividers would have been great just to keep things more organized or even have a zip lock on the plastic bags instead of having the items loose in the case. Bought to replace a 10 year-old corded trimmer (Wahl Super Taper – still going strong), this does the job but feels cheap and poorly finished in comparison. The motor is powerful and the blades cut well but had sharp points which drew blood when used unguarded – unlike the more rounded points of the Super Taper – a gentle filing smoothed them down, but shouldn't have been necessary. The cleverly colored blade guards were hard plastic and also had sharp ends that caught the skin – gentle filing fixed that too, but shouldn't have been necessary. The blade adjustment lever catches on the edge of the thin plastic body where the two halves join. The plastic body itself feels flimsy. The rubberised on/off switch doesn't properly engage unless pressed right in, so the motor will stop when you press it but start again when you release it if you didn't depress it far enough. So, I'm not really sure if I just got lucky, or if the instructions combined with the color coded guards made it happen- but wow. I surprised myself. After two to three uses, I became very comfortable with the device and can confidently provide at home haircuts similar to what my partner got at the salon (and better than what he got at a barber). Note: I only use the clipper around the lower portion of the head and I cut the top portions using the scissor/comb method. The clipper doesn't do fine detail or give a close shave (to really clean up the nape or side burns). Despite that, the clipper is an important part of my COVID haircut toolkit and has already paid for itself in terms of what my partner would pay for a haircut. I've had several of these over the decades I've used it to trim my beard once or twice weekly and manscape monthly. Now I'm wearing a fashionable hairstyle, tapered buzzcut sides, and long on top. I finally googled, and lo and behold, there were several videos on how to cut your own hair in this style. Now I trim my hair weekly in about 10 minutes, without waiting, appointments, misunderstandings about what I want, and at no cost, and it comes out about 90% the quality of having the barber do it. It's either that or Andis or maybe Oster but after buying these it makes you realise that the professional stalwarts have been resting on their laurels a little too much. The power of a cordless is phenomenonal compared to what I've ever used before..for bulk removal and clipper over comb they have not snagged once in the week I've been using them, even on very thick, coarse hair. They are more powerful that my Wahl Icons with the V9000 motor. At last I can cut hair at my speed and not what's dictated by underpowered cordless clippers and not get the hassle of wires snagging on your chair. I purchased one in the early 90s, well built. I purchased another in 2020, CHEAP! It cost about 3 times as much as it did back then. The company is like most other companies now, all about profit. The materials are cheaper, the hose kinks easily, no elasticity. Even the power supply cord is cheap. Pretty sure it won't last. They even put it in a cheap box, barely fits in the box. Just got the clippers today. Clipped my hair short. Used 1/8 inch comb. It took a littlt bit of time using it for the first time. I was very impressed with the vacume feature. It got almost 100% of the clippings. Had to empty it a few times but it cut a lot of hair. The blades performed well. It will take a few times to get use to the clippers. I figure a $20 for a barber these clippers save me money. Did a great job at trimming the mustash too. Won't have to use my mostash as a soup stranier.Jan
Pros: keeps most of the hair off the floor. Nice and light weight, Good set of accessories. Cheap! Cons: Only keeps MOST of the hair in. Takes just as long to clean up a little as a lot. A little under powered compared to other brands in the same price range that I’ve had. Really loud. Shorter cord than my last trimmer. Overall probably better for trimming body hair and beards than cutting thicker hair like mine. Good unit. My hair is relatively short and this unit really catches about 98% of all the hair trimmed. It is a high quality unit. It has been a lifesaver during Covid. I have found that I can cut my own hair almost as good as my long time haircutter. I am considering continuing to cut my own hair (even after Covid), to save both time and money. The Remington vacuum hair trimmer allows me to do that. I can cut my own hair in less than 10 minutes. I have used my Wahl Chrome Clippers for a good length of time now. I am a qualified hairdresser and have used the clippers to style many customers hairs. The clippers have remained reliable and gives good results. The kit is good value for money as it contains the corded clippers, a selection of different sized graders, a cape and cleaning brush. Also a small container of oil to maintain the clipper blades. Very good value for money.
I just use the main trimmer for basic shaves a couple times a week. Replacing my last one that lasted about 5 years. I'm ok with just knocking some hair off every few days and don't worry too much about razor shaving. Surprised the included plastic clothes protection apron doesn't have holes in it so remember to ditch it it you have children as it's a suffocation hazard. I bought these more than a decade ago and never regretted it. motor is still running strong. several years in the smaller battery powered clipper power switch did quit but it was a heck of a work horse. after the blade dulled for the main clipper, I found a replacement for under $10 and cut like new again. only reason I'm replacing it now after a decade is because the blade dulled again after 100s of cuts and the guards finally wore out and no longer stay attached. cost for new guards and a blade is close enough for me to just buy a new kit. this kit has done great by me and I can retire this one with no complaints. I'll most likely keep the motor in case the new one goes kapoot. well worth it from a home user who always cuts his hair on SundaySwan

Love this haircut machine. During this pandemic, I did not feel comfortable going to the barber so I bought this to give myself haircuts (and my wife does the back of the head for me). So far it has been a dream. I am able to cut my hair in a fraction of the time for free! I like how this kit has 21 pieces which includes: 9 attachment pieces in multiple lengths, 2 combs, lubricant oil for the blades, a blade brush, 3 hair clips, a pair of scissors, and a cape. It works on AC power so it must be plugged in to function. Overall, I am loving this haircut machine. My one issue is with the cape. It is white and had a Conair logo on it and it is made of plastic. The issue is the plastic is so cheap and thin that it is unusable. It is the type of plastic you find in disposable party tablecloths. It contains 2 tie strings that broke off the first time I tried using them. I ended up throwing out the cape before even finishing my first haircut – it was just so useless. I will likely have to buy a much better quality cape separately. Otherwise this is a great product so far.James L

I recently purchased the Braun MGK3220 6-in-1 Mens Beard Trimmer and Hair Clipper Kit and used it for the first time. The clipper kit comes complete with an electric clipper/trimmer, which has many different attachments for your beard as well as the hair on your head. It also includes an attachment to trim your nose and ear hair as well. The trimmer felt light in my hand and was easy to use. The clipper guard is adjustable with different length settings which makes it convenient to trim it up to the length that is good for you. The trimmer did a nice job cutting and did not pull on my whiskers at all. It does not contain the cut whiskers, so they basically flew all over the sink and counter as they were cut. Next, I tried the nose and ear attachment. I always wanted to have something to cut my nose and ear hairs, other then a pair of scissors, so Im glad this included in the kit. I wondered if it would pull on my nose and ear hairs, but it didnt pull at all. As a matter of fact, it almost tickles my nose, but would rather have that feeling than any pain. I was happy with the results and will be using this feature quite often. Over all, this is a decent trimmer for the price range. This is the worst trimmer/shaver I have ever had, including $12 generic ones. I have been using these things for about 15 years, do most of my own haircuts over that time, needed a new one and tried this out. Trimmed my beard with a negligible difference between a 2 and a 0. It was weak enough that I needed to make several passes even through already short hair trying to cut to a 3 length. The poor power then led to an error by me trying to make up for poor performance, so then I had to shave my head instead of looking like a whack-job, but the weak battery then died, so I plugged it in to use with electricity. No such luck – it works on battery use only and turns off when plugged in. I tried again after 5 minutes of charging to get about 5 seconds of power. Now I am sitting here writing this, waiting for both the battery to charge and for the soonest moment that I can return this mistake to Target. Even if they do not agree to refund me if they claim they can’t take it back used, I would rather leave it there for them to throw away then ever bring it back home.x

I'm writing this review after only one use of the clippers. I cut my own hair, and this is perfect for that. Clip on the right guard (1/4 inch for me) and run it all over. Take off the guard and get my neck and ears. It also has a guard for doing around your ears that my previous one didn't have. It doesn't "feel" as sturdy as my previous clippers (Oster), but I didn't purchase the industrial clippers this time. That being said, the Oster I had only lasted a couple of years (using it once a month) before the guards started breaking and the "blades" had to be oiled every time I used it. The only negative is when I used it on my neck without a guard, you have to be very careful not to put pressure when the tips are on your neck. They're not sharp, but they're not silky smooth either, so putting pressure can be a little uncomfortable. The guards for this Wahl have an excellent design and appear as though they'll last longer than the Oster guards. It has a ton of accessories I'll never use, but the instructions show exactly how to use them with both pictures & short descriptions. So far, I'm extremely pleased with what I got. On a scale of 1-10, I give it an 8. Taking into account the price, I give it a 10. AND it's made in America, so that's another selling point. I'll update this review if it breaks or turns out to have other shortcomings/advantages I haven't experienced yet.Clemsonu88

I'm so glad I bought this clipper! I am a do-it-yourself guy, and have gotten tired of the barber being closed when it is a good time for me, maybe getting a different person, maybe getting someone that doesn't cut my hair the way I want, and the price increases every few months. Because I have straight hair I often have to touch up around the ears and the top. Not for all barbers/stylists, but it is common and is annoying that I have to run home and finish the job before doing anything else. Now I can cut my own hair in about 10-15 minutes, and with a shower afterwards the total time is less than 20 minutes, which sometimes is faster than the wait time at the barber (not counting drive time). I used to put off getting my hair cut because I had to schedule about 1.5 hours for the drive, the wait, the cut, the drive home, and the shower and touch up. Last night before a party with friends I gave myself a haircut in 15 minutes including shower time. My previous haircut I gave myself in a hotel because I did not have time (due to laziness) prior to my trip. The Wahl instructions show how easy it is. I start with #8 or #6 and clip everywhere. Then change to #6 or #4 and go from bottom to about halfway up, making sure to have a smooth transition. Then to #2 and trim a bit from the back and in front of ears. Then use the left/right angled ear trim guides (or freehand if I feel like it). My hair doesn't look "great" or "styled", it is just a standard and boring cut, but that's what I want. The clipper seems to be of high quality. I keep the clipper oiled and in its case. It cuts well and seems to be machined of fairly thick steel so I expect it to last a lifetime. I love saving time. I love being able to cut any time I want, even at midnight. I love having it done right every time. I love that the clipper was free (less than price of a haircut including tip).diyej
