This exfoliant helps me fight against milia. Moreover, it helps clear pores, smooth fine wrinkles, and improve skin tone. I apply it at night and wash my face in the morning. The scent is not very pleasant, but it fades away after a while. I would suggest applying it 30m before going to bed so your pillowcase won't get dirty. It doesn't irritate my skin nor dries it out. Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I'm 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable. These are my holy grail product. I used to have acne throughout my twenties and early thirties and quite a bit of scarring. My aesthetician recommended these (ultra gentle ones first). When you first use them, with regular use, you really do visibly see improvement in the texture. You need your skin to build up to them so try ultra gentle first. Over time, breakouts reduce and scars will fade, and a brighter more even complexion emerges. I have purchased these many times and love that through Sephora you get a few extra as bonus, as per pad they are something like $3-4 each. I received this product complimentary for reviewing purposes. I’m not a stranger to chemical exfoliation; AHA, BHA, and retinol are regular parts of my skincare regimen. I also typically use a higher percentage AHA treatment once every week or so. All of this is say: I thought this would like one of those. I was wrong. The application itself is not very beginner-friendly, as the product has a very intense alcohol scent. I found myself coughing each time I inhaled during application. It’s also very uncomfortable, but luckily that feeling subsides after the first minute or so. Immediately afterwards, my skin feels tighter and drier (and my skin is already fairly dry.) The days following, my skin peels and flakes off, not unlike the first time I tried retinol. However, about six days after the peel, my skin is noticeably nicer. The texture smooths out considerably and my forehead looks almost glassy. It’s quite nice. Of course, I stop all other exfoliation three days before and after, stay hydrated and moisturized, and wear sunscreen during the daylight hours. I’m very pleased with this peel, but I’m not sure if I would have stuck with it if I wasn’t already used to chemical exfoliation; the scent, the discomfort, and the peeling for days afterwards could deter someone less experienced.jessica.c
This has help clear my skin well. For the pass two years, I struggle with really bad acne, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. Thanks to this, it has improve my skin. Skin type: In between oily and normal (naturally), normal when consistently using retionid gels (Tretinoin gel, Adapalene gel) My brown skin is prone to dyspigmentation from inflammation, acne, injury and sunlight exposure. It’s not prone to hyperpigmentation from products tho (except in very rare cases) It also sometimes gets duller looking than usual in the winter. This stuff is a dream. Greatest ADJUNCTIVE OTC product I’ve ever used for lightening darkened skin, instantly giving me a brighter complexion, making my warm/golden undertones pop (more vivid color) and maintaining the flawless even tone I was chasing. Using this all over my face along with hydroquinone (2%-4%) cream as a spot treatment this will quickly fade the darkened spots/sections. If you use other chemical (acid, enzyme) exfoliants and/or strong retinoids (tret, taz, adapalene) you’ll probably get velvety skin that’s smoother and softer the touch. So I'm 34 and have had adult acne for 10 years. A few months ago I finally discovered my perfect routine and I thought I'd share it with anyone who might resonate. I realized I can't layer products and my skin needs more simplicity. That's when everything cleared. It involves some OT products one of them being this amazing AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peel but some are not. It helps prevent damage by harsh tap water. 3)Moisturise with The Ordinary pure Rosehip oil. *3 times a week (instead of Rosehip Oil ) use The Ordinary Mandelic Acid+HA (Moisturises while gently exfoliating over time). Once every 2 weeks: The Ordinary AHA/BHA peeling mask for 10mins. AM SKINCARE ROUTINE for dry/sensitive/acne-prone skin/scars 1) Wrap an Ice cube in thin cloth (like gauze) and massage your face with it for 1 min (then towel dry) 2) Wipe face with Bioderma Sensibio micellar water + a cotton pad 2) Five mins Face lifting massage with The Ordinary Rosehip oil. I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now. I've been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point – and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea). After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget. As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time I had just cleared up a few months worth of hormonal acne (I am not acne prone, this was my first bout with acne and I did not know how to care for it, so I was left with quite a bit of PIH). I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH. In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I've used, this has faded my acne scars the most – but – it triggers my rosacea – whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts. So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck. Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an 'intense' mask 1-2x's a week, I don't have plans to purchase this again – as it did what I needed it to do. If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but – if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it – I had a reaction. Well, to start, I thought this was an actual peel off mask which it turned out not to be. That being said, there was no foul smells. Maybe a slight one, but nothing like a few of the reviews stated. It dried quickly and as stated in a few reviews there was no stingy or tingling. My skin did feel softer after the first use, but I could still feel some texture on the sides on my cheeks. Love the natura bissé peel mask, it really works instantly, after cleansing I put this gel peel on for around 15mins then use a sponge to remove, straight after I use my usual Toner, serum and face cream or oil. Don't be scared off by the words "extreme peel". You won't burn your face with this gentle yet effective peel. I received a sample of this in the QVC holiday advent calendar (2021) and after one use I was immediately sold. I had to buy the full-size product. Immediately after use my skin felt more firm and my complexion was actually glowing. That is not an exaggeration. My skin was glowing. And now I don’t think I will ever be without this peel. It does tingle at first but the tingling subsides. And I actually enjoy the tingle because to me, that means it’s working. If you have any type of open blemishes, I imagine that would sting. but honestly you will not regret buying it. I can handle a very strong facial at home peel and most are just not strong enough for me, but I love this one, it clears all my pores, brightens my skin, it tingles but I've never had a bad reaction. I was a little bit skeptical when I got this in my glam bag x this month. After trying it I can report that I absolutely love this peel. It’s extremely gentle yet very effective. It has a very light scent. I applied it and it started working with foaming bubbles and a light tingle. I left it on for 15 minutes and it dried to leave a beautiful gold leaf looking mask. Probably one of my favorite “bubbling foaming masks” I have ever tried. I got this one through IPSY and loved it. You do around 8 pumps and spread evenly over the entire face and neck. You have to move quickly as it does begin working immediately. Within seconds your pores will be bubbling with the golden peel mask. To me it’s more of a bubbling oxygen peel than a illuminating peel. The only downside is there are no instructions on the packaging. I had to look it up online. I recently received a 3-treatment-sample in my birthday complimentary gift bag and tried the peel, trusting the Dr. Dennis Gross brand. The peel comes in 2 steps and seems to do the job: as I applied and massaged the two wipes I felt a little tingling sensation, meaning that the product was working. Having sensitive skin and being the first time I had tried this peel, right after the treatment I sprayed a good amount of thermal spring water on my face, let it soak in and then went with moisturizer. After a few hours from the peeling treatment my skin is smoother in texture, but I can still see some redness in reaction to the product. So, if like me you have sensitive skin, go slowly with this product and maybe wait less than the reccomended 2 minutes between step one and two and definitely don'tuse daily despite the name. Overall though, for normal skin it seems a good peel.Barbara T
I used this product several times once a week. I don't expect much from the effect of this acid peeling, as it is quite clear what acids do to the skin. So I'm basing this review only on my personal impressions, and it is highly subjective. The positive thing about this peeling is that it is convenient to use. Everything is at hand, there are no extra bottles occupying half of the bathroom. It has nice smell. I have sensitive skin, so it definitely burns a bit (which is normal), but it is tolerable. The skin is smooth and nice after using it (just like after any other good acid peeling). The reason why I not sure whether I would rebuy it or not is the pads, which are used to apply the product. They are just not pleasant. I prefer applying products using fingertips, as it causes minimum irritation to my skin. The wipes are quite hard, and too small to hold them in the hand. I guess that they have additional mechanical peeling effect, like Korean pads, for example. The product itself is good, it's that I don't enjoy using it. I really recommend using it if you can tolerate the feeling of the wipe on your skin.Hanna K
I bought the pore perfecting at home kit, which included the 30-day pack of daily peels, pore perfecting serum and clenser. After the whole 30 days, my skin has gone from decently looking with my biggest concern being large pores and blackheads on my nose, to fully covered in red spots and painful pimples/whiteheads everywhere. After the first week, my skin was amazing, smooth and soft and I could see the pores becoming smaller. Then, after about 10 days I started breaking out on my forehead, chin and jaw. It was bad to the point of preferring to stay in ratehr going out to avoid people seeing it. 2/3 weeks in, I could see it starting to clear again and the pimples were slowly starting to go away, and I was considering buying again. But then, a few days before the end of the pack, my whole face started to get covered in painful bumps, whiteheads and rashes, much worse than before. Now I'm left with really bad, rough skin, and I dont know how to clear it. I've been using the Sobel skin rx along with DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE Alpha Beta® Extra Strength Daily Peel. I usually alternate every other day between these peels. Between both of them, I 100% see improvement in skin texture. My skin type is combination. I’m really happy with this peel so far (have been using it twice a week for a month). I was using the ordinary 30% peel and then babyfacial before that. I like that this peel has some soothing ingredients included, unlike the ordinary (although that is a great peel!). I don’t feel like it’s too expensive either as it’s a rather large bottle. I LOVE that they put this in an opaque bottle (light is not good for essentially any ingredients that will help your skin). I also love that there are no fragrant/citrus oils, fragrance or drying alcohol in this. I contacted the brand and they said they don’t use these in any of their products, which I love. I have lots of experience with acids so I apply this twice a week and leave on for 10-15 min, rather then the 2 min they recommend. Is my adult acne prone skin suddenly perfect? This is the best thing to ever happen to my skin. I had acne prone skin with melasma and large pores and i had tried EVERYTHING….nothing worked until I incorporated this into my skincare routine. I use it twice a week and i leave it on for 5 mins. I exfoliate with Dr. Brandt microdermbrasion before i put it on and it tingles!! i am on my third bottle and i now have clear skin….my skin has evened out, i barely breakout and my pores are barely noticeable.
