This was supposed to be one of those charcoal peels, in the videos, that's hard to get off. Because most peels don't impress me because they start peeling off easily just from facial movements, I thought this might be better. While it's slightly better, in no way was this painful to get off or anything close to what people have been portraying in their videos. What I did like is that it doesn't just peel off in little chunks (like others tend to) and it's smooth to apply (if you use a wide fan brush) and doesn't lift on it's own. Takes many many tries but definitely removes under pore dirt. Heat it up for a minute then leave on for 15-20 minutes. There's plenty in the container for like 30 applications so it should help. I've been using this purifying stick over the last week and I can definitely see improvement with the blackheads around my nose ( I still have blackheads but not as many). I love my blackhead extractor. The only thing is DO NOT USE this for cystic acne!!! It will leave you with awful scars. If you only use it for black and white heads and small pimples, this is a great little gadget. Effectiveness This gets the gunk out of your face very well. Ease of Application It doesn't take very long at all to get the hang of which side of the tool you need to use to get specific types of black/white heads out, this is pretty easy to use. The only thing is for really "in there" pimples, you have to push down kind of hard and that irritates your face. This works for most blackheads and some pimples, but you MUST use it correctly! First, either use it right after a hot shower, or get a hand towel wet with hot water and gently hold it to your face until the towel cools. (Do not put a scalding towel on your face, duh.) After your pores have opened and softened, place the large opening over/around the blemish you're aiming for and GENTLY rock the tip from side to side. Never ever force a zit or blackhead to pop.
