My sister gave me one of these StingEze Pens some time ago and I got it out when I got some insect bites on me and I was susprized the next morning I didn't even have a red spot where the bites were. This stuff is the difference between being able to be outside and confined to the house if you have Type O blood. The mosquitoes seek us out. I have one in the house, one in the car and one in my purse. I never leave home without it. The secret to success is to apply it as soon as you are bitten. The next day is too late. When it first starts to itch and you first see the bite, apply it. Usually two applications will do it. Not only am I Type O I am also allergic. When I'm bitten I will get a spot 6 inches around and bright red. No other product works. If your children tell you it burns you waited to long. This after bite outdoor saved the day when my whole family accidentally disturbed a bee’s nest. I was stung twice, once in the upper arm and once on the neck. I was most concerned for my niece who was panicking. She would up with 3 bee stings. We all used the after bite which offered enough instant relief to relax a bit. I use this religiously in the summer for mosquito bites. I live in the woods in Vermont and even though my blood is probably half DEET by now, I still get bites where I miss applying bug spray or it wears off or they're just being especially nasty. Chiggerex doesn't get rid of the itching completely, but it does offer some immediate itch relief, enough to get by until you get distracted from your bites. It's white cream that blends in pretty well with my ghostly complexion, but for anyone with pigment it will be noticeable somewhat. It smells sorta medicinal, minty-generic-lotion-like, nothing outrageous (just thought I'd mention, since I'm sensitive to smells). This after bite outdoor saved the day when my whole family accidentally disturbed a bee’s nest. I was stung twice, once in the upper arm and once on the neck. I was most concerned for my niece who was panicking. She would up with 3 bee stings. We all used the after bite which offered enough instant relief to relax a bit. It took away the burning and itching. We were very pleased. The swelling wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be. I have a black lab that has really sensitive skin. A few months ago he chewed his tail until it was a raw bloody mess. I picked this up at PetSmart and applied it twice that day. The next day you could see it was already healing! On the third day I didn't need to use it anymore as the wound was almost normal again. I have really bad eczema and other skin conditions, and you would think that you couldn't spray something like this on a raw patch of skin/plaque/blister/etc. However, you can, and it's very soothing; no pain or discomfort at all! I used this salve for a bad case of poison ivy in combination with Marie's Original Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac Relief Soap, Good Sense Calamine Lotion, and Dr. Mercola's Aloe Vera Gel (all available from Vitacost). I purchased the shampoo because my sweet Calico had this itch in her belly area and there were little, red bumps that would appear. She seemed so uncomfortable and I didn't want to keep spending $150 every vet visit for the steroid shot. This product is wonderful! My dog had such dry skin from Allergies that he was loosing hair on his back leg and tail from constantly chewing on it and chasing his tail. I tried the Oxy Med Anti-itch and it has helped tremendously . I just spray it on him a couple times a day and rub it into his skin; it been about a week and he has stopped chewing/scratching and his hair is starting to grow back. He does lick at it sometimes but it hasn't caused him any harm.
Real review here — if your dog’s rash is chronic and severe, this alone will not completely rid of it (you should really go to your vet), however, it definitely makes a difference. Summer and fall always brings annoying little buzzers that just love to bite me dotting my neck, arms, and legs with little bites. Repellent stinks something awful and that too can irritate skin as much as bugs! I've used this a few times so far for bug bites and other minor skin irritation. Using it is super easy, turn the power switch on, put the heating plate to the bite, and push the button once or twice. The ring around the button will light up but the heat plate also heats up quick. Either a 3 or a 6 second blast. The heat is a little unnerving the first couple times using it, but I never felt as if I were in danger, and I haver had any red marks like a burn (on un-bitten skin). I don't have a way of measuring the actual temperature, but its similar to touching a hot coffee mug for 3 seconds. Not enough to cause damage but hot enough to worry you. As for stopping itchiness, it does reasonably well considering there are no chemicals, odor, or further skin irritation. Its not a magic wand so multiple applications may be needed depending on your skin but its so easy to do so I don't' see this as a negative. The unit itself is so compact and lightweight you can put it just about anywhere in your car, bag, cooler, wherever you may be going outdoor. Just 2 AAA batteries that last hundreds of times. Overall it works, its tiny, and doesn't hurt too much; I'd rather have a little bit of heat over itching for days.Jay
We live in South Louisiana. Here they make jokes about mosquitos 🦟 carrying off small animals and if you get real close to the swamp how sometimes they're so plentiful that they block out the sun 🌞 on a hot day. But mosquitos really are no joke. They carry some serious diseases and some of us swell up a bit after their bites. On top of that, we have fire ants. I check my yard every week or so because their ant pile move across the neighborhood. The pile down the street will be in your yard before the month is up. I hste putting repellant on. Heck, it stinks. And you know it can't bd healthy putting an insecticide on your skin. So, I guess the only thing to do is treat it. Finally, something was invented and is sold at a reasonable price. I ordered mine from Wal-Mart. Had to wait a few days, but the price was probably the best I could find. I really got thus for my wife. She swells up a bit just like me and got a wasp sting that bothered her for almost a week. She took Benedryl and used a topical Clear Caladryl liquid on the sting, but that only helps so much. So this little gadget is quite interesting. First of all, I love the packaging, it comes nicely packaged with everything you need, instructions, the bug healer and even batteries to start using right away. The instructions are available in 3 languages which is good to know. Anyways I got a mosquito bite on my inner elbow part and it was a red itchy bump. My husband put the insect bite healer on it as I read the instructions. Once it was turned on it felt very hot. It felt like a sting! The instructions say there are 2 levels 3sec and 6sec mode for sensitive skin and regular. I took off 1 star because I feel like it hurt a bit for the 3 sec I had it on my arm. After my redness went down and the itch was better as well but I’m not so sure a kid will let you use this on them. I do think it works and it’s basically a hot compress on a way that goes straight to the sting/bite but it kind of hurts a bit. I will try to use it again and even on my kids but will definitely warn them that is might be hot feeling to treat the bite. I think I didn’t expect it so it felt a bit weird to me.JJ4ever

I seem to have more skin allergic reactions since I contracted Burning Mouth Syndrome. The bottom of my legs will burn and itch and this topical Benadryl cream helps. I have to use a Benadryl mixture to swish and spit in my mouth so I thought topical would work on the legs. Oral Medicine said that with the cancer patients (which I didn't have cancer) Burning Mouth usually lasts for about 5 /- years, so she is expecting it will last that long with me. I first encountered Campho-Phenique back about 1970, after having been stung twice by some Pesky Yellow Jackets, Vespula alascensis. As a kid of 13 they hurt like the dickens. My grandfather suggested I put some Campho-Phenique on the stings, and was impressed that a seemly old remedy (even then!) worked, and worked well. I have bought this Super Lysine+ a number a times and really like it. This time it looks different. The Product Label here shows Active ingredient: Zinc Oxide (1.2%). The one I got is Menthol (0.1%). I don't know if they just changed the box or if they really changed the product. The old product works great, this one I don't know about yet.
Used it few times already at first signs of lip HSV 1 and blisters stayed minimal, almost un-noticeable, healed completly in few days. It was a bit painful each time, which I didn't experience before, but I am very happy with result! Box says "pain relief", but for me it is pain inducer… Everything else I tried didn't work at all. I had a non itchy rash that started in a small area and spread over my torso and down my inner thigh. I was prescribed an antifungal cream which I used and did absolutely nothing. It stopped the spread but the rash looked inflamed and raised. I bought this as a first time buyer and was blown away I saw huge differences in the first 48 hours of use and now it's all gone. Just as mentioned, it just faded away a little each day. I went through the whole bottle since I had a large area to cover. I'd say buy two if you are in a similar boat. I love everything about this treatment. Use as instructed and you will feel and see visible changes within a few days. Be consistent with it. I dealt with cystic face acne for about 2 yrs due to IUD (birth control). I removed it over a year ago and cystic acne no more. But, I was left with scarring on my face. I discovered Forces of Nature earlier this year and saw the scar treatment and figured hey why not try as a Spot Treatment! I’ve tried everything else prior to this oil. This product worked like magic for me. I had a very dry and extremely scaly scalp with psoriasis. I could not imagine anything would help but I brought this product with no expectations. After rubbing the oil into all the lumpy scales, I left it a few hours. When I next felt my scalp all the dry scales were lifting off. I left the oil on over night then removed the debris. It was not sore and did not bleed (and the oils smelt wonderful). Then I washed my hair with a charcoal shampoo and conditioner. Afterwards, I could not believe it. 95% of the dry skin had disappeared and my scalp was smooth again. Also, the oils made my hair silky and shiny.
