I had a hard time deciding if these reviews were real, despite all the admissions of a reduced cost for their review. I feel compelled to leave a review because even my dermatologist, whom I had faith in to help me with my cystic acne (he called it a form of peri rosacea that occurs around the mouth), couldn't help me despite the expensive Finacea medication I was buying every month. YIKES!!!!! My skin did NOT like this product at all. I decided to try it out because I saw so many people posting about it on social media and they all seemed to be raving about how well it worked for them, but it didn’t work for me at all. The packaging is pretty and well-made. The ingredients seem to be all natural like they claim on the jar itself. CONS: I’m not a fan of the smell at all. In fact, it kind of gave me a headache after about a week of using this every AM and PM. It burned my face the first time I tried it because I had never used tea tree oil products in the past, so my skin was probably like “WTF is this!?”. After a couple of days, I came to actually enjoy the tingly sensation. And I pretty much got used to it after a couple weeks of using the product. I gave this a chance for a full month and a half, I was using it AM and PM every single day. Not only did it NOT clear up my bad acne along my jaw line and chin, but it honestly seemed to make my skin worse over time. I eventually gave up waiting for the “purging” to stop (I know some products make me break out in the beginning before they clear my skin up, but that’s not what this product did unfortunately). I don’t think my skin agreed with the ingredients in this cream. I have very, very sensitive and oily skin. I would wake up in the morning after putting this on the night before and I’d find my skin looking like it was legit WET from it being so oily. No joke. It grossed me out. In high school and college, I had little to no acne, but I did encounter staph at some point during time in athletics– which if you don't know, is hard to get rid of and is a serious issue. The worst part was the bacteria was on my face, so when I'd get a pimple from time to time, they would quickly develop into an abscess. It was devastating because 1) They were hideous and hard to hide on my face, 2) It seemed like I had no hygiene routine, but I was actually rigorous and careful about anything that came into contact with my face, 3) It was dangerous because some of the abscesses were very close to my eyes, and 4) Antibiotics did nothing to kill the staph so it seemed like it was gone, but came back again. My mother ordered me the Proactiv regimen after a sob-fest one evening (#teenagerhormones). The kit lasted a long time (a month or so?) and I never saw an abscess again. So I have PCOS which causes me to have hormonal acne at the wonderful age of 34. I thought I would be done with it after my teenage years but that is not the case. I was super happy to receive this voxbox and hopefully rid myself of this acne once again, Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Over all it did work when used daily. I had less active breakouts. I really liked the exfoliating scrub it left my skin feeling fresh and clean. I did use a better moisturizer on tip of the 2 that are provided with the kit because they were more drying with the active ingredients being benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. I did take away 1 star and probably should have take away another because as soon as I stopped using it after 2 weeks the acne came right back, I didn't expect it to 100% cure my issue because it is more hormonal than anything, but I did hope to see an improvement in the amount or severity of the breakouts, but that wasn't the case. I did stop using it after 2 weeks for 1 week so I could test it and see how it would function for someone who would be thinking my skin has cleared up I am good to go. My review is for the kit I'm not able to find…. I just started using this one day ago and I already see a diminish in the acne I had. The cleanser itself doesn't sud but you only need a small amount. My face did feel clean afterward without drying. The toner has a slight medicinal smell. Not like witch hazel. It contains witch hazel and aloe, two good ingredients. The moisturizer isn't bad. You need little and it soaks in pretty quickly. After letting it sit my face feels very moisturized and slightly tacky but nothing transfers on my hand when I feel it. Not oily at all. So I’ve tried lots of acne products out there and usually know what’s best for my skin. With that being said, benzoyl peroxide is almost always my go to. I’ve tried many brand name/store name kits and single bottle cleansers on the affordable market. This Acne free system did work well. The price is pretty great in comparison to the proactive brand, so if you’re on a budget, this is for you. I will say that for me and my skin type, i ran into a great deal of over drying from the product. If you run into the same issue, simply space out the product use and use more gentle cleansers in between washes. Loved the toner, it immediately gives your face this smooth silica type feel. Any who has had any type of acne knows just how awful it is and how self-conscious you become. Throughout high school I was lucky enough to only ever have a pimple or two once in a blue moon. Once I got to college it was a whole new ball game. Figures the time you have to meet all new people and make new friends, my face decides to break out! I tried it all – nothing worked. I am 28 years old and have struggled with acne since I was a teenager. I have only been using nature's cure for two weeks and my face is clearer than it has ever been. I tried not taking this product for a few months and the breakouts were horrible. This has being the only product to help my acne without side effects. Its a shame its only sold online. The cream can dry your skin so I only use when needed but its worth buying just for the pills. Depending on your type of acne or if you suffer from very mild it may or may not help. Do not eat or drink diary products while taking this and you will see faster results. Drink lots of water too. I rarely review. I mean I RARELY review products. But I have been struggling with hormonal acne since I gave birth almost 6 years ago. I have pretty much tried everything besides accutane. I had recently purchase the retinol cream from Paula's Choice on Sephora and appreciated how it worked on my skin. I started browsing through Paula's Choice website and found this kit. At first I thought, "this will be another Proactiv" which did not work for me and the concentration of Benzoyl Peroxide was 10% and way too strong for my skin. But after reading reviews on this kit, I decided to give it a try. Within 2 days, my skin had improved significantly. I was getting cystic acne and small headless bumps on my cheeks, jawline and chin. Those had completely disappeared after 1 week of consistently using the kit twice a day. I wish I had taken before pictures but honestly, I just figured this would be another failure. I'm am so impressed and so happy and relieved with my skin. It's been almost a month straight and I have only had 2 very small, non-cystic zits pop up which I'm ICU RN, and they more than likely were from wearing my N95 mask at work. My only warning about this product is it can be very drying and sting the skin right after application. I'm usually a combination to oily skin type and now I'm definitely dry. My solution was to purchase face oil which helped immensely. I apply my products in this order and it's worked for me to keep some hydration on my face: step 1, step 2, retinol, , eye cream, moisturizer, step 3 and top with facial oil. I will start off by saying that this could be a miracle worker for the right person, from other reviews i’ve seen it works really well, for me however it was sort of a hit and miss. I don’t blame it entirely on the product because i have somewhat sensitive skin and it doesn’t react well to everything. At first I wasn’t entirely sure that it was doing anything since the spots that i used it on were not disappearing but when i used it for several days after i realized it was actually making them more irritated and painful; it wasn’t until i stopped using the spray that they went away but i did notice the scarring i had before cleared up significantly and the spots i had during the treatment didn’t leave any marks. So overall if you have sensitive skin this might not be for you but if you don’t it might be worth a shot. It id also worth mentioning that the design is also great: the fine mist reaches larger areas and its a fairly large bottle meaning enough product but not uncomfortable to hold. So I just purchased the banish solution and face cleanser then stumbled across the review about the crazy mark up in price after indie switched packaging (a 60% markup!!!). Indie responded to that review by saying they changed the packing after customers complained that the product dried up before they could finish the package. They write their solution was to REDUCE the size of the bottle BY HALF) but keep almost the same at $21!! Terrible business. This has been a skin saver for me and my 13yo son. I have hormonal acne that gets exacerbated by working out, medications, and poor diet sometimes(busy mom of 5 with ADHD, who is also in grad school😬). Not great at planning or sticking to a consistent skin care routine. Partly because I haven’t found the right combo of products for my skin. But this cleanser has been amazing! I have combination skin, an oily t-zone, with dry cheeks and I tend to get dried out around the mouth. This cleanser will clear up my skin in a matter of 1 week of daily use(morning or night depending on if I’ve worn makeup). It’s doesn’t dry out my skin or leave me oily and it’s been safe to use daily as an exfoliator. When I’m more consistent with using a cleanser(instead of alternating with this and micellar water when feeling lazy), I notice that when I stop being consistent after a day or 2 I have some build up of dry patches or flaky skin around my mouth and chin. The product works okay on my skin. I definitely see improvements and my skin lightning up a little. My acne formations have significantly decreased too. My pigmentation is still dark and is too soon to tell if there's a change or not. My only issue is, my eyes burn after I rinse, around 30 minutes later (weird). And any serum/moisturizer application after, would spread to the insides of my eyes making it burn even more. (My eyes burn even though I apply the mask away from it- forehead/lower cheeks and chin) I figured a way around this. After rinsing off the mask, I profusely rinse my eyes with eye drops and thoroughly saturate them and pat-dry the outer lid area, before applying any serums or moisturizers. By this way I freely apply any moisturizer or eye creams and my eyes don't have the burning sensation anymore. I didn't regret using it. I saw an improvement with less pimples and smoother/ brighter skin and I remembered having confidence not wearing coverage make up or going out bare face towards the end of the 30 days package and even after I have to stop taking it ( it was a slow improvement, not a drastic change which I am okay with as it dealt with hormonal and stuff and not just the surface). I had to stop using it just because I am out of the country and cannot reorder it. Right now, without it and my irregular period, I am getting some acne back but I am thinking of reordering it. I hope it still works for even after a few weeks of missing it. "I bought this for my cystic acne that has been resurfacing on my chin, despite the medication I take to prevent it. I was skeptical about anything helping the cystic acne I’ve developed as an adult. "So when I started looking for an acne product, I needed one badly. With recent stress and working out everyday, I would have constant breakouts and more each day. I was getting extremely insecure and frustrated as I've had pretty clear skin my whole life. I'm going to be 100% honest. The product does reduce the bump size which help with the pain. I notice that it doesn't take the redness quick it takes a few days. My husband tried it but it made his pimple look worse because he popped it and then he applied the cream on top which caused the irritation to look bad. I don't recommend it to use it when your skin is already irritated because it will burns like it did to my husband. His pimple got more red and the next day the scab was super dark and bloody because of the irritation and this can cause you to have scars on the face and more irritation on your skin. Everybody skin is different not every body reacts the same to products. Be cautious and read instructions before using this and other produc. I’ve been using this toner for a few days and I absolutely love the way it smells. It’s hard to pinpoint what it smells like exactly but, to me, it’s a bit citrus-y and herbal-y. I don’t know but it’s so soothing and helps me relax and unwind after a long day. I can’t really tell if it shrinks my pores as I’ve only had the chance to use it for a few days. I am, however, going to go ahead and deduct one star for the list of ingredients. There are a ton of ingredients in this product and I don’t know what more than half of these items are. Personally, I believe that the less ingredients that skincare companies can use, the better it is for the population as a whole. It lowers the possibility of allergic reactions so the product can reach a larger target audience. I don’t personally have sensitive skin so I had no problem with this item but if you do, I would recommend taking a quick look at the ingredients to be safe. As this St. Ive's toner is a little bit more strong than regular toners because it contains acid. Be cautious when using as it will give your skin redness but will adjust as you use it more often. Acid helps correct textures on skin. I also love how it also removed dirt and oil on my skin if I forget to wash some areas of my face with cleanser. Very good product! I recommend this and will totally order another once this runs out! At the moment I use this as my everyday toner I use before going to bed.
