No Thrush had very good results with the thrushy frog. My farrier noticed a big difference. It's also slowly reducing the scabs at the top of his heels. My horse has been pretty lucky and has never really had a bad case of thrush which is pretty remarkable because we live in the super wet Pacific Northwest. For whatever reason this last fall and winter, he's had a pretty nasty case that has been difficult to get rid of. My normal treatment methods were not making any headway, so when a friend recommended I give this a try, I thought it was worth a test. I love this. All you have to do is make sure the hoof crack is clean and make sure there is a opening. Use the pick to pack with a piece of cotton. Then add this to the insert you made. Make sure you use enough to see it run down the out side also so, you know you got the toes. Wait a day and re do. I use it in the sole once a week for precaution in mud season. it's stains and is messy but, They dye is so you know you reached the toes. I put a rag on the floor for each hoof and he does put his hoof on it after we are done. Small bottle goes a long way. Follow up with Gold Bond Powder twice a week. Using this product beats, by a whole lot and in many aspects, taking my cat to the vet. It saves the hassle of getting my slippery cat into the carrier, transporting her to the vet, and paying for the whole visit and more, only to have my cat be given something that would only mask the symptoms and not heal it. Last week, I woke up one morning to find piles of vomit scattered under the dining table; I checked her litter box and got a whiff of her stinky poop (it normally does not stink) and saw piles of pudding-like poop. She also lost her appetite that morning from all the digestive issues she was suffering from. I have sleep apnea and use this product in conjunction with my CPAP machine. Many people with my condition find that one of the side effects of using the CPAP machine is dry mouth in the morning and even with the built in humidifier you still find your throat is dry as well. Since using Mouth Kote I have found that my mouth and throat feel good in the morning with little or nor dyrness. I have also suggested this product to friends who have problems with dry environments such as homes, apartment buildings and offices. They have reported that they wake up feeling with their throat feeling less raw and the same working through the day. It is also good to to use if you are on the phone a lot or before doing a presentation or a speach.
