20 Best Home Use Table Saw (Feb 2023 Update)

I recently moved and had to leave my 30 something year old craftsman table saw behind knowing I would have to replace it. When I looked at all of the saws at Lowes one thing was very apparent-You can buy a cheap table saw and that's what you'll get. I really didn't want to spend as much as I did for this saw but when it went on sale I couldn't resist. Anyway, assembly of the stand was really easy and straight forward. The saw bolted right on and the stand is a breeze to stand up and put out of the way. The only adjustment I had to make was a very minor adjustment of the plastic scale for zero. All of the cuts I have made so far have been dead on. I didn't have to make any adjustment for the fence, It works smoothly and was parallel to the blade. It's really neat the way that there is storage for all of the accessories to keep them out of the way. If I had to complain about anything it would be about the supplied wrenches. They are very thin and will deform if you tighten the nuts and bolts too tight. All in all I think this is a quality product and well worth the cost especially when compared to cheaper saws.kevsmach11

The saw and stand are a definite upgrade from the Craftsman that I had. The set up was fairly easy. The manual is not terrific even following the pictures did not help. Thank goodness I had watched some of the reviews and assemblies on YouTube. I am very pleased with the fit and finish of the saw and the accessories. The fence out of the box was spot on. The miter gauge was accurate when I added the tape on the side to prevent the wooble that comes standard. There is a place to store most of the fittings. A place for a spare blade would have been a nice add-on.1Toyman

This is my first time purchasing a contractor saw–gotta say I'm impressed with this DeWalt model. i used it for recent renovations on a home cutting trim work and plywood for various jobs around the house. Everything was cut accurately with no issue with lack of power. I have not tried using this saw to it's full rip capacity, but I do like how they designed the fence/table system to allow larger rips on plywood–will be interesting to see how it works out. Right out of the box assembling this saw, I like how all of the accessories were neatly stored on the saw for transportation. The push stick is stored right there on the fence within easy reach when it's needed. I was surprised how easy it was to load in my truck afterwards, tilt the handle on to the tailgate–lift and slide, went in super smooth. I would like to see a zero clearance insert included or even available, the opening on the included insert is a little large and on smaller pieces it was a bit dicey. A Dado insert is available separately. Overall very impressed with this saw and would recommend it.Poper69

I spent weeks looking at reviews of budget and semi professional table saws before finally committing to the DeWalt. The compromises on lesser saws proved too limiting and I decided it was better to buy a saw that would carry me through the novice stages to more accomplished usage. So far, I am delighted with my decision. It may look expensive compared to some, but it is an excellent saw. Spend a small amount of time checking and fine tuning the settings and enjoy great results! Too early to be sure about reliability, but the build quality gives me confidence to give it top rating. Before laying out this sort of money on a circular saw I did endless research on this and other sites selling the machine, but the best reviews came from YouTube. Although more expensive than some of the others it is worth every penny of the extra cost. In particular, the most important part of a table saw is the fence and I cannot fault this. It is fixed at both ends and is controlled by a rotating wheel. There is a scale and pointer to give the finished thickness. You do have to calibrate the saw before using it for fine work but this is very straightforward and the are some excellent instructions on YouTube for this very machine. Once calibrated it holds its settings although I would recommend that you regularly check the squareness of the blade to the table as the method of fixing is not the strongest. Blade changing is quick and simple. There is an outlet for dust extraction but you will need to pack out the hole if you are using a standard vacuum hose when visiting site. It has everything I need for both carpentry and joinery.eggie123

I purchased this table saw on a deal as I was looking to upgrade the workshop with a table saw. It is easy to set up and good to go right out of the box. The factory setting is of the balde is relatively true to the 90/45 but the cut angle can be adjusted easily with two bolts and an hex key. The fence is one of the best of the portable saws as it runs on parallel guides and the measurements are easy to see. Locking mechanisms are also easy to use. Blade changing tools and push stick included and stored in the unit itself which is a bonus! Absolutely recommend.honakrisi

Used a few times and been very happy with the performance. The saw need very little adjustment out of the box the only thing that was off was the fence not square with the table surface, many other reviewers have mentioned this also. I solved this by putting layers of thin strips of masking tape on one side of the bottom surface of the mounting block where the fence is clamped to the front and back rack and pinion rails to shim it square. The only other complaint is the flimsy insert plate but so far has not been an issue but it would be nice if this was stiffer or made out of metal. I also just ordered the zero clearance insert plate off of Amazon and I am glad the Skil listened to their customers and released this. I also love how the legs fold up to make a compact package for storage. For the money this is the best budget table saw out there in my opinion. I'm all smiles when I comes to this Skil table saw. It's a major upgrade from the job site table saw I had for years and didn't realize what I had been missing out on. The table saw was literally ready for plug and play out the box after checking for squareness of the blade to table and fence. The rack & pinion fence is a real jewel. Dust collection is also an upgrade for me by simply connecting my shop vacuum to the dust port making cleanup hassle free. The cut capacities are also great although it will be rare that I will be maxing them. Although the miter gauge that comes with it is basic and does the job, I upgraded to a much better one that compliments the table saw. The safety features of the table saw are commendable. I would recommend this table saw if want something with a small foot print and that gets the job done.Al H

The saw is solid and versatile. Motor is powerful and cuts through different wood easily. The saw is very stable on floor. Once I verified the ruler pointer accuracy, I am confident that cut is accurate. The reason I give 4 stars is the saw blade insert . It is flimsy. When I cut long pieces and pice end gets on the incert , the end drops down slightly. This creates uneven cut approximately 5 inch long on the end of the wood piece. There is adjustment screw for raising the incert but it is far from the dropping point and doesn't help to rectify the problem. I hope that Skil will improve blade insert and part will be available for purchase. I would love to replace the incert with much solid one.Val O

Jobsite portability, hybrid saw accuracy and capacity. The rolling stand is stable and easy to use. The fence is accurate and dependable. Onboard accessory storage is very well though out. The fence is fantastically well thought out, making sheet goods easy, or even large edge glued hardwood panels. The brake is fantastic and is a major time saver and safety feature. The table is nice and flat and the miter gauge is absolutely wonderful to use. The gauge itself has locking detents at all the right angles. Depth adjustment is smooth and reliable. I only have two complaints with this saw, but neither of them are even remotely deal breakers for me. The locking lever for the riving knife on my saw is a bit stiffer than I'd like, and the arbor is a bit tight, making blade changes a little tricky. However, I mainly use this saw with either a 30 tooth glue line rip blade, or a 24 tooth heavy duty rip blade for stock thicker than the 4/4 hardwood stock I usually deal with. For a jobsite saw, this thing has plenty of power to serve full time in a hardwood woodworking shop. Overall this saw is a winner that puts the other jobsite portable saws to shame.Derekdgsww

Tons of pro-caliber features make this a great investment. Set up was fast and easy and took about 20 mins. Like a lot homeowners, the workshop is where the magic happens and this is in the garage! We don't have space for a dedicated workshop table saw. The fact that I can store this up against the garage wall when not in use is great and it's easy to park, pull out and haul around on wheels. On location, I put the saw upright with wheels-side down on the ground and extend the OPPOSITE top-side legs 1st. If you extend the wheels/bottom-side legs first, it's way awkward to cantilever the weight of a 100# saw over these legs. As far as cutting and ripping, I've cut some 3/4' plywood for cabinet drawer slides, 3/4" MDF deep closet shelves, and tons of other accurate rip jobs. Last weekend I cut some pretty massive 4" x 12" x 12' stock. Having this big platform saw gave me confidence when I was pushing this big stock through. On the other end, I never thought I'd ever cut soft materials this on my saw, but I was able to quickly and accurately rip 2" polyiso foam insulation boards for a she shed's subfloor and doors. 24" OCs cuts were easy on this table saw, but doing wider cuts >30" for doors (with right fence) is what impressed me about the fence system. For me personally, there's a lot to worry about when a blade is spinning at 4000+ RPM inches from me. On my old saw, the rip fence was unreliable and not square after 18". I was always stressed about wide boards spinning off and hitting me or losing body parts. This jobsite saw actually has both a solid fence and bottom support on right side fence when you cut wide sheets. A reliable "square" fence with accurate rack/pinion control, built-in riving knife, and longer out-feed gives me max peace of mind and much less to worry about. As far as the motor, 15A is a ton of power and Metabo HPT's start/stop technology is great. The soft start and super-fast brakes on this saw are really reassuring. It would suck to have this technology get zapped by a power surge. Not only do I fear the grid's bad power, but I'm running this jobsite saw on same circuit as our garage refrigerator. When that compressor kicks in, it sags the voltage and negatively affects my tools, so I will only run this when connected to a premium (like Monster) surge protector.WKND DIY MONSTER

I was shopping Summer and Fall of 2021 for a DeWalt 10" Table Saw after being impressed while using my son-in-law's DeWalt. After searching relentlessly, I found out they discontinued it, so I went about looking for 10" options. I searched many online sites and visited my local Lowe's, Home Depot, Woodcraft, and a few others. Selection, price range and availability were better at Lowe's so I carefully considered their offerings. The Metabo had all of the features I was looking for in the DeWalt, and some were even better. The table is slightly larger, the micro-adjust rip fence has built-in clamp down storage, there is an out-feed extension that is easy to use and though it is only 8-10", it is a very useful and valuable feature. I bought it, took it home, opened up the box and set it up. Setup was very quick and easy. I was very pleased that NOTHING needed fine tuning or adjustment. I've built a couple of projects so far and this saw has out-performed all of my expectations. As an older, arthritic user, I have found the ease of portability, open up and fold down is very good. I have no issues and amd very pleased with my purchase.WoodMark

Maybe the saw I was using before was just really terrible, but this saw eats anything and everything I’ve thrown at it. Without changing from the stock blade, I’ve ripped treated 2x’s and made cabinet shop quality cuts in oak and other plywood. This saw makes me look good and it was dialed in out of the box. The guards are in the way so I’ve been very cautiously using it without. The power of this saw, the size and weight, the accuracy and the well thought out integration of the portable stand make me look forward to using this saw every time. I wouldn’t consider buying any other saw after using this saw. It was a snap to get from the box to operating. Now I need a worm drive circular saw.CK22

After 2 yrs this saw has not lived up my expectations I purchased this table saw November 11, 2018. During assembly the cart bushing cracked due to being too tight from the factory. I ended getting through to Bosch (yes Bosch) and after a month or two I finally received a package of hardware which included the plastic bushings. However, by this time I have already used stacked washers instead and this worked very well. The saw is very, very powerful and the long reach to the right of the blade is awesome and the extra high saw blade has come in handy a couple times. With all that said, the pluses do not out-way the negatives. Even though the fence is rack-n-pinion, back rail is loose compare to the front so I can not depend on it being parallel to the blade. The zero clearance plate is horrible. Very week component because it is so thin it flexes, so any down pressure in that area can cause a poor cut with small pieces. Forget trying to make a stronger plate, there is no room to do it. There is co much interference it make it impossible to do. What I'd give for a more traditional, standard design. The table is not flat all the way across but this I can tolerate. The table surface coating is not holding up at all. I think I expected too much from this saw and will probably go to a more reliable Dewalt, giving up some of the features the Skilsaw may have. I am finding I want more accuracy and reliability. Skilsay has not responded to any of my concerns regarding the table flatness and more robust clearance plates.tladoux

Good saw out of the box. Factory alignment is pretty good – still needs some fine-tuning adjustment if you want to get picky. Love the wide rip capacity of the fence & solid metal parts of the fence geared rack mechanism. The canvas & plastic shrouds underneath the table help to maximize dust extraction while cutting. All the accessories have storage placement under the table so it's easy to keep everything together. The stand, while being quite big, is certainly easy to use – the giant wheels make rollling it around a breeze – and when setup is quite sturdy & solid. The stand even provides a handy left-of-cut material support. So far have had no issues with stalling the blade or blowing a breaker while ripping 2×4's lengthwise & running a shopvac on the same circuit.theXenziJ

I am delighted with this saw. It arrived ready to run with no adjustment necessary. The fence is the jewel in the crown- always square, easy to adjust with the adjustment wheel, and adjustable to within 1/16” of the blade. It is not a table saw, to be sure, but since I’m a home handyman and not a contractor, I have mine on a home-made stand that puts the saw deck close to and at matching height with my work table. A couple of minor problems. 1st the cut is not quite as smooth as I expected. It is typical of a portable saw in this price range. 2nd, the only adjustment I need to make was to the riving knife. I used to take all that stuff off of portable saws I've bought in the past. I'm trying to use all the safety features on this saw. The riving knife was out of adjustment which affects the operation of the guard and kickback protection. That adjustment is not easy to make. My advice is to try the instructions in the manual and if it gives you trouble, take it off, observe the way the screws and adjustments actually work. Reinstall and adjust. That's what I had to do. By the way, I love using this saw.itnomad

I did my homework before I made this purchase. I'm glad this is the one I chose. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit a dado stack, but what contractor is cutting dados on a jobsite? There's a Diablo bladeset available that can cut dados either 1/4" or 3/8" and fits on this puppy. A little tippy with the DeWalt stand, but it wasn't designed to cut full sheets of plywood without an outfeed table or roller support (or another person). I LOVE the rack and pinion "dial-a-dim" fence. One-handed operation makes changing your dimension a breeze. I can get it to a little over 24". Excellent completely enclosed blade shroud for dust control. Smooth gear movement. Perfectly aligned and square, right from the factory. I've owned it for six months and put about 50 hours on it. I've made shelves, cabinets, benches etc. My single piece of advice is to change the blade soon after you get it. If you're not used to tablesaws, the blade it ships with is a little disappointing. That's not unusual from DeWalt power tools, though. TLDR; Good quality. Decent price. You won't be disappointed.Redwork

I bought this saw some ten years ago and have been using it A LOT in the process of major remodels of over a dozen houses in Hawaii and then it went into my furniture-building business as a standby when the contractors saw was set up for another job. I LOVE the quick-adjust fence that takes a lot of knocking around and stays true-square. The only gripe I have about the saw is the clutzy design of the dust cover on the side of the lower blade housing. The housing under the blade gets jammed up with anything small enough to get past the insert-to-blade clearance, so that cover needs to be removed to clear the jam and get the dust collector to start working again. The four tiny wingnuts are a royal pain to access and to remove/replace. My contractor saw has this same piece hinged at the bottom and uses two slide-clips at the top to release it enough to clear jams. I use the DeWalt stand, securely bolted to the saw, and I can shove a sheet of plywood through the saw and it never tries to tip backward. Bottom line, a well-designed tool that serves a contractor (me, in this case) better than any of the others I've had over the years. There are a few others that are up there in overall quality, but that clever fence tips the scales in favor of the DeWalt.Riverguy

I have only had the saw a few days but am very happy with it. It replaces my old Dewalt contractor saw. Due to the limited size of my shop/garage this size saw works best for me. They have packed a lot into the saw along with the safety features. I like the onboard storage of all the tools and safety devices. It feels like a more expensive saw and is dead on accurate. The dust collection was a pleasant surprise as my old saw made quite a mess but very little with this one.Stephen

I bought this saw a week ago, thinking this would be a great option in place of several larger, more cumbersome and space-consuming (as well as much more expensive) power saws. The setup manual was a bit sparse on instructions, mostly pictures like those from IKEA. I had no problems until I got to the blade installation. Following the instructions, I inserted the blade as far as possible, pulled the switch to the left, and lowered the arm. Each attempt to operate the saw resulted in the blade popping out. I assumed it to be a problem with the alignment of the bearings inside of the Guard for the blade, so I have spent the past week attempting to re-align and lubricate those bearings. This morning, I finally came to this site and found this in the FAQ section: "I just installed a new blade, but it’s not sitting straight. How do I fix it?" The answer below solved my problem: "If the blade isn’t fully seated during installation, there is a potential that it can turn in the mechanism as the blade release button is disengaged. Fixing this is easy. Follow the instructions for removing the blade. With the blade release button still engaged, re-seat the blade and make sure it is completely inserted into the mechanism. Hold the blade firmly in place while slowly releasing the blade release button. Once the button is completely disengaged, release the blade and remove the blade holder." Now, looking back at the drawings, I see that this sequence is actually shown in the drawings, but from my experience, it is easily overlooked. (It doesn't help that I have one hand in a cast!) Perhaps in addition to the sequence shown in the drawing, the paragraph from the FAQ shown above could be added to the Troubleshooting chart following the paragraph on MAINTENANCE replacing the current Possible Solution for "Blade is not clamped tightly by the Blade Holder."ChuckSr

Have the bladerunner x2 and 1 month before warranty runs out the part that releases the blade shaved off from use of ejecting the blade. They still sell the same product but I was unable to get a replace part could even find a diagram the showed the part for the RK7323. Leadership offered me 20% off a new one but I pay shipping of $30. I think I will put my money in another product. Customer service was great. Good employee bad company.Debbi Krueger

The Bladerunner is a beast in addition to being the ultimate cutting machine. You are in for a treat but you need to check the motor adjustment so the Bladerunner cuts straight as it should. This is a motor adjustment that you can do with the help of a YouTube video that will show you how this procedure is done. Once you do this then you will be ready to do some test cuts. Then put the Bladerunner to work. I use a square to line up my fence in preparation for a cut then, install the proper type blade for the material I will cut when using the fence. Not all cuts require the use of the fence but use a square if using the fence. The miter gauge is accurate but hold it down while making a cut and go slow and let the blade do the work. Make sure to check the specs for the maximum thickness of material and type of material you will cut. You want to use the right blade for the right material for best results. You do not want to try to rip cut a 2×4 because you will not get an accurate cut at all. I tried this just to see what limitations the Bladerunner had and if could actually do it. Yes, it did rip cut a piece of 2×4 but it was the worse looking cut on planet earth. Don't do that unless you want to make it look like a drunken beaver cut it. Use the recommended thickness of the material and the proper blade for the material you are cutting. Get the crosscut sled accessory. You will need it at some point and it is very useful. You can mount the Bladerunner permanently to a table or use the wall mount. I repurposed an old nightstand for my Bladerunner and it works just fine while using the wire catch on the front of the base to hold your Bladerunner in place.Sawdustman

This saw does as advertised and I am happy to own it. I've used much more expensive table saws in the past, but it all boils down to an accurate fence and repeatable results which is what this saw can do. I built a movable frame for it with a runout table.Harold T

My old Rockwell, after 39 years of faithful and reliable service left for where good table saws go when they die. As I am getting a little long on tooth (82 years old and hopefully counting) I don't get into large projects. So I figured one of these bench top units would do the job. Further research showed how wrong I was. Some don't have Dado capability. But their most glaring setback is the short distance between the blade and the edge of the table. This limits you to narrow pieces for cross cutting and many other things one does with the miter gauge. I was pleasantly surprised that Delta managed to make a table that has the same distance as my old Rockwell. That in itself is worth a five.Dont have a nick name

I owned the previous model Jet proshop for 2 years of light DIY duty. It has smooth bevel and blade height adjustment and the fence is really nice. Power is just ok. The blade to miter slot adjustment did hold as well as I thought it should. I had to readjust this after a few months.shrub0

Everything I expected from this machine was met. Straight forward assembly and set up. Quality parts supporting a robust machine that forms the central part of my workshop. It does have a fairly weak dust extraction that would serve better if there was some form of better system; however, not sure this can be achieved in what is a problem area for all machines. Definitely value for money and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good starter saw table.John

Received mine about a week and a half ago. Everything was packed very well. There was no damage and no missing parts. I'm 72 with two titanium knees and arthritis and I was able to unpack and assemble it solo. There were no adjustments needed. The blade was dead on 90 degrees and 45 degrees to the table as well as perfectly parallel to the two miter slots. I used a 6' and 4' level clamped to the table and to the wings one at a time. to level them to the main table. Fence was also dead on. I will say this, it took a little patience and contorting to get some of the fasteners installed. Fired it up and it was quite and solid sounding. Ran some cuts and they all were perfect. The fence adjust very smoothly and easily and stays where I put it when I locked it in. Just so you know there was a design change from the photo on the Jet site – see my photos. If I had to knock anything it's the lack of a zero clearance insert to be found anywhere on the web, including Jet and the fact that some sawdust does come out all the openings in the front and I have the Jet 1100 cfm collector hooked up with 4" hose but no place else. I did make my own zero clearance with a 1/2" thick phenolic sheet. I would highly recommend this saw because overall it's vey quality constructed and with the 5 year warranty gives good peace of mind. I bought this downsizing from a much bigger Powermatic that I sold the month before.Old Bob

I am 100% satisfied with my new Powermatic 30” table saw. It has met all of my requirements in terms of quality and measurement accuracy. I would highly recommend it.mike

I purchased this model because I felt it has the best features, quality, and value for under $2000. I would have preferred the cabinet model, like the PM1000, but my shop isn't suited to have the saw permanently placed and I really wanted to keep the cost closer to $1500. I have it on a mobile base, but so far, stability and rigidity have not been an issue. It is also wired to run on 230V which I have found keeps the motor running cool and at a consistent speed. It easily rips through plywood and solid woods (I've gone as thick as 1.5" so far) and the fence is sturdy and accurate. It took me a few hours to get the saw tuned up out of the box (i.e. assembly, truing/squaring the blade & fence, adjusting the bevel stops, mounting the cast iron wings, etc.), but once that was done, everything has been going great. I thought the really crucial aspects like squaring the blade and fence needed minimal changes from the factory. The miter gauge is surprisingly beefy and has positive stops for making angled cuts. Having the blade run off a belt eliminates wobble and the trunnion appears very solid. Overall, I think the 64b is the best option for those looking for a professional alternative to a cabinet saw.woodworker

Decided to upgrade my table saw and thought Powermatic would be a great choice. Within 3 months, it was difficult to elevate the blade. I followed the instructions in the manual…seemed to help some. After 5 months of cleaning it off and on (which takes several hours), it eventually took two hands to raise the blade. Called Powermatic for three months before they sent out their tech guy. He told them it couldn't be fix. Had to take saw apart and shipped it back. I was without a saw for two months before I got my money refunded. This had to be a fluke with Powermatic so I bought another, identical to the first. Same problem within three months. I called their tech and paid him $160 to fix it because getting Powermatic to answer phone calls or emails was practically impossible. 9 months since I bought the second saw and can barely elevate blade again. Called Powermatic and they said it was my fault because I didn't clean the inside of it once or twice a week. They are sending their tech guy next week to see if the saw can be fixed. If he can fix it, I'm going to ask him if he would a great deal on a Powermatic saw that isn't even a year old. Hope someone can learn from my experience.mike

This saw was a big upgrade from my box-store job-site saws. I needed something that would fit in my small basement workshop, but would still support work with larger materials. This saw had a good combination of features for me at a reasonable price. The quality of the assembly and the materials used in the manufacture of the saw is good. It was freight shipped to my house in a handful of boxes. The main part of the saw–the stand and the central portion of the table are pre-assembled. The rest of the saw and fence system are packaged seperately. I was able to get the saw through some relatively narrow century home doors and down my basement steps with one helper. I used a dolly and some nylon straps to get the job done. The assembly and setup/truing of the saw took several hours. Approximately eight months later after much use, everything seems to still be square and true. The saw controls are easy to use and smooth and don't seem to be affected by dust. Dust collection is pretty good in most operations. The saw performs well in even demanding operations, like resawing thick hardwood pieces. It's not a 5 HP motor, so you need to do multiple passes and rotate the stock, but it will get the job done. For me, this saw was basically perfect. I've managed to build some furniture, tables, jewelry boxes, and storage boxes with it. I've used various blades and a couple of different dado stacks. I'd recommend this saw to any woodworker who's graduating from a box-store job-site saw to a cabinet saw. (Get the wheeled base).Kevin

I am very happy with my purchase. The sales staff and store manager are the best, very knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. I finished set up and while I deliberately took my time, everything went together well. One criticism I have for Powermatic is my slight disappointment on some of the milling of the saw table and the abutting extensions. The saw table is a perfect 90 degree edge while the two extensions are chamfered. Even though the technical support person at Powermatic assures me this is fine, the ascetics makes me think the engineering team was not thinking. I hope any work pieces do not get damaged by the sharp edge and point between the seams. Other than this minor point, I am thrilled with my purchase.Joel

I made the purchase to replace an older Delta contractor saw that served me well for many years. I did a lot of research before finally settling on the PM-1000. Ordering and delivery went off with no problems. No damage to any packaging. Assembly easy, instructions were adequate to get the job done. I took my time and had everything assembled and adjusted over two days. I could have easily done it quicker, but my schedule wouldn't permit it. I did find the final adjustments a bit time consuming, but I was probably being a bit anal about it to make sure I had everything right. I been using the saw now for about a month and it has performed well; definitely a step up from my old saw. I'm getting clean, square, and accurate cuts. Getting ready to start a big project shortly and will give it a good test. May update this review after more use. I need to work on upgrading my dust collection system; I'm currently reducing my connection from 4" to 2.5". I'm expecting an improvement once I upgrade.Robert

I got this to replace a Ridgid R4512, or course this is a much better saw in power, quality, cut, funish, etc.. The only thing that is not better is the dust collection, The dust collection worked better on my Ridigid R4512, but this is easily twice the saw making twice the dust, twice as fast, and throwing it with twice the power, so I can understand why it would work as good. I will gladly live with a little more dust to sweep up and using this saw, vs less dust to sweep and my old saw. I wanted a good saw that would last my use and last for my kids, I believe I picked the right one. I looked a Grizzly, but only a year warranty, SawStop, Warranty good, but having to buy Extra cartridges, and lots more money to get the equal saw from them, This one has a guard that will stay on it most of the time so, I don't need a SawStop. Jet has good warranty, but finish isn't as good as the Poaermatic. 5 Year Warranty, fit, finish, Quality, power, cost, that's why I chose this Powermatic 2000B. The shipping was problematic as the saw waited in a warehouse for 2 weeks and the shipper wouldn’t respond to arrange a delivery date until I had to call and push them to deliver. Saw seems great (although the cross cut mitre arrived broken on one end).robert f.

the pixs on this website tre of the previous model 36-6022 NOT the current 36-6023. Delta cut some corners else ware but gives you a better fence with R&P. I measured the table height only at one end then built an extension for the table only to find the saw sits extremely out of level! The stand is the fault and causes the one end of the tabletop to be about 35" high and the other end over 36" high! NO kidding and i have pixs to prove it! posting here….if i put a short piece of 2X4 (1 1/2" tall) under each wheel, then it is almost perfectly level!denson

I bought this four months ago for building our home. Ripping plywood sheathing, LVL beams, framing lumber, and 3/4” trim are equally well-handled by this saw. I upgraded the miter gauge to Delta’s better one and am well-pleased with it. The one included with the saw is very small and not what I wanted. The stand is very easy to fold and move the saw, and to set up again effortlessly. I’ve found the saw tends to move around when I adjust the saw blade tilt angle unless I first place my left foot on the saw’s foot. After framing and trimming the house I was unable to return the blade to 90degrees. Flipped it over and blew a lot of accumulated sawdust from the trunnions pivots and lubricated them. Bingo! The blade tilts and returns easy-peazy. I’ve ordered zero clearance insert and wish I’d done it sooner. Very risky cutting off small pieces as they sometimes get caught between the blade and the front gap of the insert. Either a crosscut sled or zero clearance insert would resolve this. Early on I bought a 24 tooth ripping blade and a 60 tooth crosscut blade. These are game-changers for me. The saw’s included Delta 42 tooth general purpose blade is okay. The fine tooth crosscut blade provides an extremely smooth cut. The ripping blade is smoother than the general purpose blade too. My dust vacuum works well, pulling all the chips and dust evacuated from the rear discharge. Not all the sawdust gets to the rear discharge but this helps keep my shop area cleaner. I fill the bag weekly and, if it’s just white wood or hardwoods, I pour it beside the compost pile. The cons? Just three: I would rather a crank to adjust blade tilt instead of swinging it by hand. It just requires swinging to where you think is right then bumping it a little to final angle. I would like more depth of table in front of the blade when cutting steep angles on trim. The miter gauge barely has purchase on the table, sitting partly off for 35 degree cuts, even on 1x2s. I wish the saw was steadier on its feet when I’m ripping green 2x6s or 2x10s. I might place barbell weights on the front foot and wheel. This also is a trade-off of a portable saw that hasn’t much weight on the bottom half. The verdict? I would easily chose this saw again for a portable saw that is so capable yet easy to move and store. I trimmed out the entire house with this saw, including custom hardwood stair guard and hand rails. The saw has held up well and is a pleasure to use. One star off for the cheap miter gauge, the lack of a hand wheel for adjusting blade angle, and the short front table.Jim5

I spent weeks looking at reviews of budget and semi professional table saws before finally committing to the DeWalt. The compromises on lesser saws proved too limiting and I decided it was better to buy a saw that would carry me through the novice stages to more accomplished usage. So far, I am delighted with my decision. It may look expensive compared to some, but it is an excellent saw. Spend a small amount of time checking and fine tuning the settings and enjoy great results! Too early to be sure about reliability, but the build quality gives me confidence to give it top rating. Before laying out this sort of money on a circular saw I did endless research on this and other sites selling the machine, but the best reviews came from YouTube. Although more expensive than some of the others it is worth every penny of the extra cost. In particular, the most important part of a table saw is the fence and I cannot fault this. It is fixed at both ends and is controlled by a rotating wheel. There is a scale and pointer to give the finished thickness. You do have to calibrate the saw before using it for fine work but this is very straightforward and the are some excellent instructions on YouTube for this very machine. Once calibrated it holds its settings although I would recommend that you regularly check the squareness of the blade to the table as the method of fixing is not the strongest. Blade changing is quick and simple. There is an outlet for dust extraction but you will need to pack out the hole if you are using a standard vacuum hose when visiting site. It has everything I need for both carpentry and joinery.eggie123

I purchased this table saw on a deal as I was looking to upgrade the workshop with a table saw. It is easy to set up and good to go right out of the box. The factory setting is of the balde is relatively true to the 90/45 but the cut angle can be adjusted easily with two bolts and an hex key. The fence is one of the best of the portable saws as it runs on parallel guides and the measurements are easy to see. Locking mechanisms are also easy to use. Blade changing tools and push stick included and stored in the unit itself which is a bonus! Absolutely recommend.honakrisi

Bought a short time ago and have used it 3 times for different cuts. Performs just like it is supposed to. The scroll function is great for what I need it for. I also purchased the cross cut table. No thinking. Just place and cut. Every tool I have purchased from Worx has been a winner.Bob04

I own many many Worx products, and this is the first one I'm truly disappointed with. I had high hopes based on the size and features, but I was very let down by the performance. I used it for the first time today to rip some 1/2" planks and 3/8" strips as part of a project to add jambs to my pocket door, and the rip cuts were all over the place. The blade wobbles (the board pushes it around too easily), so it was impossible to get a clean, straight cut. I had the blade cover well clamped, and used the guide per the instructions, I even took it real slow – but no help. I had to run the board through a few times just to get a useable edge, but the board still looks horrible (I'll have to use a healthy dose of putty to fix the finished product. Unfortunately, I'm out of the return period (I should have tested it out sooner), or I'd get rid of this tool. I can see how this saw would be good for jigsaw cuts, but not as a table saw alternative or for ripping boards.aaschere

Bought this saw a couple weeks ago, to help with molding cutting and other basic cutting of wood or tile that I had for projects that were either waiting or coming up. This unit although not like a $1000 unit, worked well for what I needed. Was nice to cut molding and interior trim, without Miter Box and made the job a breeze. Even cut countertop material and a few pieces of tile. Worked well and was very pleased with the results. So much so I went back to the Worx Website and ordered some replacement blades because I think this will Table Top Saw will be my new best friend!BobinAZ

The angle adjustment is not accurate at 45 degree, Table Access Plate is not levelled. Only 6 PCs flat end caps and 2 PCs more are needed for stand component "3". The installation of two wheels are not clear enough and does not mention these two wheel bolts have to be hammered into the holes of stand component "3". The packing of the table saw is not strong enough and hole 80 x 70 mm has been found on the top of packing. One plastic holding hole on the side of packing was torn away 60mm horizontally.Anonymous

Good price from Toolden, 8 week delivery due to Covid. Table not flat, blade out of line with table. Clearance plate higher than table. Side to Side blade movement when not rotating. Sent back to Evolution for 'repair' and ended up with a new Saw that was checked before dispatch. Table still not perfectly flat and Clearance plate still higher than table in one corner but apparently, according to Evolution "is within the EC standard tolerance" Also had to re-align blade (instructions are not in the manual – contact Evolution for separate document). Riving Knife is same thickness as blade so has to be perfectly aligned to blade otherwise material is forced into the fence by the knife which creates an 'unclean' cut. Despite all this it does seem to cut well and has great potential but I doubt it will last as long as the Clarke 10in I've had for the last 20 years. Time will tell as it gets used. The ability to be able to 'fold' it up and move it about very easily is great. Sliding carriage is also a boon. But I do think that the designers have pared down the 'design and build' to the minimum to save money to the detriment of quality. There are many YouTube reviews (especially 'Casual DIY') that praise this saw hence the reason I bought it so perhaps I've been unlucky. NB: The videos are from the first Saw, the replacement is much better but not perfect.Geoff D

I bought the Rage 5S having only seen the pictures on the web site and reading as many reviews of table saws as I could find. It is always a risk buying without actually seeing the item but I have been very pleasantly surprised. The saw although mobile is both sturdy and stable. Assembly is not difficult but is worth taking some time over as it has to be done correctly. The saw adjustments (bevel and height) work well and the rip fence and cross cut slide feed also all work well. I’ve been using it every day for a week now and although early days every thing is being cut accurately be it rip or cross cut. I was sceptical about the multi purpose blade but having had the need to cut some strips of steel chequer plate I was mightily impressed. Longevity with such use is something only time will tell. There are cheaper table saws out there but I think this is definitely value for money.Tim B

Very capable saw in a small package. Battery life is very good with 6.0 batteries and higher. The saw runs very smoothly, easily rips plywood and cuts 2x lumber no problem. The table is compact so you need support of some kind to rip larger sheets of plywood. The only thing I would change it to have the ability to plug the tool in if electric was readily available. Pairs very nicely with the Milwaukee stand, strong and stable.Jesse

I purchased this about 8 months ago and i really couldn't be happier with how well it's worked out. This being a portable jobsite saw means like any other saw of its size it has it's limitations, however if your workpieces fit, then this saw will get the job done. Only on rare occasion do i find myself putting too much pressure causing the saw to cut off, but that tends to only happen if something pinches. The one thing that was a bit of a pain was trying to find a zero clearance insert, since you often times will find yourself cutting smaller things, it will fall through the guard. I made my own though, and since then have had no problems at all. The runtime has been good even on my 8AH battery as a weekend woodworker. If i was a full time contractor i'd probably have at minimum 1 12AH battery, if not possibly 2 for all day work. For the first 7 months i used the included blade without issue, and recently moved to a 40 tooth Diablo finishing blade, but this was merely due to the fact that my overall woodworking skills and needs are a bit higher now. For most normal jobs that included blade worked great. I have no regrets buying this saw, and will hold on to it until i have a larger space and can upgrade to a full size cabinet saw.usdmattiphone

I had to purchase this table saw three times,(i purchased it from the home depot)the first time I got it the saw had a crack near where the riving knife sits which made the blade not sturdy. Making the return to the home depot was a living hell, since i bought this as a combo kit with the stand, home depot insisted i had to return it all together, eventually i convinced them it is the exact same saw on their shelf. The second table saw i got didnt even have its battery or charger. So i had to go to home depot yet again to get another saw, and the last saw i got the throat plate was warped, so i called milwaukee and asked them to send me another one which they obliged to do. Just to find out that i had to swap the set screws the lock lever and the black sticker over to the new throat plate. Come on milwaukee i expect better i have bought a dozen milwaukee tools and have never had an issue like this. Pros to this saw it is very compact and light, i immediately put a diablo blade on it. Cons i feel like the saw feels under powered when ripping a 2×8 8 ft stud i hope i dont have any issues ripping plywood, osb, melamineWilliam93
