I bought this product for my 14 year old suffering from acne (I think hormonal.) It immediately caused redness & irritation. He told me my face is burning. The next day we saw some small red patches on his face where he had no problems as a matter of fact those areas on his face still have the look of baby face. He had some big and stubborn Blackheads on his nose and when he woke up we can see them closer to the surface and we were able to remove at least one big one without a problem. I love this toner. It smells like pumpkin and I feel it does just enough without over drying me. Enzymes are very effective in helping restore and balance our moisture barrier and this does just that. Why did I make this purchase? I decided on this purchase because my beloved Glycolic Facial Tonic seems no longer to be available from either DermStore, where I had a subscription for auto-delivery of the item, nor from the manufacturer. I bought this because I've been through a few bottles of the Paula's Choice 2% BHA and wanted to find something same-same-but-different. So far, I strongly prefer this!! My least favorite thing about the PC product is how much of a residue there is, I'd compare the feeling to that of a body dry oil. It's so present that my normal-dry skin can forgo moisturizer afterwards in the summertime. The Farmacy product is just like a standard watery toner, so there's absolutely zero residue, which I LOVE. The toner is quite expensive so I prefer to tap it directly onto my skin and rub it in rather than waste it on a cotton pad. This is the first time I've ever had a HOLY GRAIL skin product. I was originally using Paula's choice bha exfoliant and wasn't really seeing any results. But with this one, WOAH! It doesn't go on oily like Paula's choice, and it also have glycolic acid and lactic acid for extra exfoliating power. BE CAREFUL! When I first started using this I was so happy with my results I was using it every day and it caused my skin to become over exfoliated, super shiny, and destroyed my skin barrier. Nice light formula. I was looking for an alternative to Paula’s Choice 2% BHA for pore maintenance and I think I found it. This toner seems to do the job and has a clean finish. I am so happy with this toner. I have now been using it for two days and in only those two days I have seen a difference and the only new products added to my skincare routine have been this toner and the moisturizer that is also available. I use a cleanser by another brand that contains salicylic acid but since using the toner and moisturizer I have seen the biggest improvements. I don't wear make-up often, but I'm always appreciative that I have this product to swipe the make-up right off. It also works well for cleaning up smudges and oopses when putting make-up on. Red lipstick is no match and doesn't even leave behind a stain after using this product. Lancome just knows what they're doing and I haven't found a product of theirs that falls short of the mark. I still am a sworn proponent of Olay for those with a tighter budget, and I continue to use Olay's face and body washes (Love their Quench line), but when it comes to lotions and serums I turn to Lancome now that I have more wiggle room in my budget.
My first time purchasing. Yes it is good product, does not sting on my face. Scent is delicate and does not smell like alcohol. Personally I think it is not SO MUCH BETTER than other toner I usually use. Idk, maybe bcs toner works the same. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes! Would I repurchase? 50-50. I used to love the dermatologica products as they were always recommended for my mildly sensitive skin (nt: I can still use drug store products so I’m not super sensitive). This toner burns within 2-3 seconds of it being on my face and I end up with red blotches so I’m unable to use it at all. Initially I thought it was maybe an interaction with my moisturiser, so swapped that out but no luck. Then I thought it’s maybe because I usually use the superfoliant (exfoliater) so skipped that but also no luck. Do not recommend at all if you have even just mildly sensitive skin.Mm1990

Dermalogica is the brand that I was first introduced to in 2004 years when I started taking care of my skin. I used this toner for years!! I didn’t branch out and try anything else. Lol At the time I had very oily, acneic skin and it worked great. I still use this (along with other timers on and off) today and have sensitive, combo toward dry, rosacea skin and it works great. It worked for both skin types. It does have a fragrance but never bothered me. I love the scent. It sprays out nicely, but you can also spray it onto a cotton or reusable pad. So good. I’ve never really been impressed by any toner that I’ve used in my skincare routines. I don’t invest much time in that step. In fact I’ve often skipped it. The comes in a glass bottle and it’s a spray toner. Usually toners that I’ve used I put on a cotton pad. This is directly sprayed on to the face . So you get a lovely cooling mist all over your face as well as a scent of lemon, kind of aromatherapy fragrance. The directions say to pat it in your skin after. I’m amazed that it absorbs so quickly. I have to pat very very little. My skin actually feels so nice after I’ve used it. It feels like it’s doing what a toner is supposed to! My skin feels cleansed and ready for my next steps. I find myself looking forward to this part of my routine now. I used to just grab any oul toner! I LOVE that I don’t have to use a cotton pad. So easy! This comes in a glass spray bottle. The best part is it’s such a nice mist. It’s not harsh like some other sprays. My face instantly feels refreshed. The directions say “After morning and evening cleansing, mist into the face, neck, and décolleté then gently press into the skin.” I never press it into the skin because I just let it dry naturally then continue with my skin care routine. I received this @kiehls Calendula Herbal-Extract Alcohol Free Toner from @bloomingdales #sopost It helps soothe redness as far as I can tell, but I only had a few red spots. It's alcohol free has no perfume in it, so it's great for sensitive skin. The only thing I didn't like was these brown pieces are floating in the bottle as you can see in the pic with my cotton round, it looks a bit off putting. The pieces don't come off on my face, but I'm not really thrilled seeing that on my cotton round, so I have to deduct a star. I've tried shaking the bottle, but those brown pieces are still floating in the toner. I'm assuming it's the Calendula. Overall this is a good product for redness I'll give it 3.5 stars.stacey.m
I definitely recommend giving this toner a try. Ive tried d so many toners and this is by far is the most suitable for my combination skin type. The toner is so lightweight that it literally feels just like water on your hands. You might want to reapply if you want to feel more hydration your face. In my case I just get a couple drops pt it dry then apply my liquid essence to feel more hydrated. So what does calendula does to your skin? On their website it states that it reduces redness, oiliness and improve skin’s texture it also reduce the appearance of pores. I am a huge fan of the properties of rose water. My favorite, which was made from Bulgarian roses, used to cost me about $32 but that price was getting a little too pricey. Cocokind's formula is the same quality but at a price I can afford even with Bulgarian roses! When I was getting near to running out, I even ordered the jumbo rosewater toner to keep refilling this bottle. I also appreciate the company for being transparent about carbon emissions and putting those calculations on the product packaging. My skin looks so healthy and happy when I use it. I love this product. I use it every morning and night as a second cleanser after washing my face. It’s gentle and I love the smell. I usually need a bit more product sprayed onto the reusable cotton pads from Cocokind if I’m using those, but the eco-friendly aspect is worth it. I can tell (visibly!) that it wipes off some dirt and oil that my face washing missed. I also use it occasionally to set my makeup, or for a midday refresher. I received this product complimentary from Topbox to review. I have to be honest I was really nervous to try this product and the word "astringent" was the main offender. I have combo oily sensitive and the thing that my skin seems to dislike the most is astringent. Astringents and acidic toners really irritate my skin to the point where I get a slight burning feeling for hours. I am pleased to report that I didn't have that experience with this product, The Effaclar Astringent Lotion was really gentle on my skin. It almost felt like water. After the first use, my skin looked and felt hydrated. One of the claims of the product was that it reduces the appearance of pores and removes blockages. I didn't get any breakouts while using this product (which is always a good thing), but I also didn't notice any differences in my pore size. The pores around my nose and chin are the most noticeable and they appeared the same size after several days of use. That being said I still like this product. It's gentle and I felt that helped to keep my pores clean. If you have really sensitive oily skin and you're looking for an effective gentle astringent or toner, I would recommend this product for you.KeikayJ
I've been using this product for two weeks now to get a good test out of it for this review, I absolutely love it and would buy more. It's definitely effective, gets all the dirt and oils off my face for a clean base. There's no strong fragrance to it which makes me trust it to put it on my face considering I do have occasional breakouts. It does not irritate it whatsoever and I find it supports to bring down my heavy breakouts and evenly tones my skin in almost what seems to brighten it as well. It also isn't over drying at all! Let me start off to say I never do reviews of anything but I was compelled on this one. I started a consistent skin care routine few years ago so of course have tried alot of products. I am 47 yrs young with textured skin, sun damage and post acne scars.. I do have the healthiest skin for me ever(only took me till I was in my 40s lol) but after sometime u like to change up your products. Have always incorporated niacinamide in my routine but when I seen this toner I had to try. Omg!! After 1st time I used it, my skin felt hydrated, moisturized, soft and jad a beautiful glow. I followed with GM hyaluronic acid serum and so impressed. I can't wait to use it every night. I will be trying other products but after using so many different toners I have never seen these kind of results. Sorry for rambling but had to share my opinion!! TLDR; BUY THIS TONER, DARK SPOTS GONE I had cystic acne that popped up because of constant mask wearing (disposable masks) at work. Clusters of huge pimples, to the point that it hurt to smile and no amount of makeup could cover those mountains on my face. I used the COSrx pimple patches (which also worked wonders) to reduce the size of my breakouts and help clear them faster, along with the Proactive toner, Beekman Victamin C booster, and Exuviance AHA cleanser massaged in my skin with my Foreo device. I noticed my pimples weren't lasting as long, and were less frequent but they left horrible dark scars. I bought this toner and used it twice a day after cleansing in addition to everything else in my routine and just after a week I noticed the dark spots fading and my pimples becoming less frequent. After a month I had to smack myself for not buying this toner sooner. My dark spots are pretty much all gone and I have no more pimples. There are still a couple tiny acne scars that are stubborn and won't clear, but a little CC cream covers them up just fine. My skin is soft, smooth, and brighter than ever! Side note: I switched to cloth masks and used a new one every day. The disposable masks were causing my clusters of pimples, even though I changed them every hour. I just repurchased this toner after getting it in gratis in April (I'm a beauty advisor). I love the way it treats my skin!! I find that niacinamide serums like the ordinary has are sometimes annoying to put on so this is perfect for me. Just adds a little extra to my skincare routine! I actually do think it's brightening and making my skin look better. I wouldn't say my skin has ever looked really dull, but the overall skin tone feels more even to me. I have slight roseacea on the bottoms of my cheeks (like where a dog's jowls are lol) and I feel like they have become a lot calmer!!!! That's really important to me because I can't wear foundation cause I have freckles all over my face and I don't like to hide them. I've been using this product for a short while; it's been on my radar for some time because I was interested in incorporating the science-proven benefits of green tea into my routine. The bottle used in packaging is a light brown, so as to protect the ingredients from UV degradation. To start, this product has the consistency of water; the color is brown, and while not fragranced, has a light woodsy scent because of the botanical contents. I loved this toner! This changed my definition of toner forever! I would toss a small pool of this into my palm and then splash it onto my skin without a sponge/cotton pad – after washing/cleansing my face. You can use this in the morning or evening without overdrying your skin. The smell is refreshing and without that harsh alcohol stinging feel like 99% of toners out there. You know it's healing your skin without the pain/tingling feeling. The green tea is the plus point about this toner. I love this stuff. I hadn't heard of the brand or product before but a friend unloaded a load of skincare onto me that she didn't use anymore, and this was in the bundle. At first I thought it was a bit icky and potentially cruel because of the snail mucus element, but after doing some research I found that the snails aren't killed for the product, but there snail trails are farmed without harm to them. I tried it and thought it was pretty good, but then since becoming pregnant and having to stop using some of my most loved products including Retinol, I tried this again and absolutely love it. It doesn't really have a scent, it absorbs easily and is a serum like texture. You can drop a load onto your hand and cover your face in it, and you will wake up with lovely soft skin which (i think) looks rejuvenated. The only downside is when you get near the end of the bottle, it's hard to get the product out as it comes with a little dripper but this isn't a huge deal. I've repurchased since using the last of my friend's bottle.

My son has very sensitive skin and was prone to acne, but most acne medications dried his skin up way to much. I always use witch Hazel after cleansing my face, to remove any left over residue. So I thought, hmmm I wonder if it would help him? So to make it easier and less “girl product”, I bought a screw top reusable plastic container (the one in the photo is by Ziploc) and loaded it with a package of cotton rounds. If you notice in the photo, I separated them and then arranged them slightly overlapping each one. This helps to remove one each time. I then liberally pour the witch Hazel onto the pads. As they soak up the liquid, you can usually get the rest of the single sleeve in there. Make sure they are soaked through. But not leaving a puddle in the bottom of the container. Now they are great cleansing pads, but without the salicylic or benzoyl acids, that dry out the skin. The witch Hazel pads remove any left over soaps or cleansers, excess oil from sweating etc, and really do help your skin at the same time. My son can now quickly use these pads in the morning before school, after school and before bed without his skin drying, and now his skin looks and feels great.andi.b
This product has delighted me, and I think I will stay a loyal user of it for a long time. The packaging is enormous; even though I use it daily, it wears off very slowly. The product is extremely gentle on my skin and leaves no traces of dryness. By the way, my skin is oily, but it gets dehydrated quickly and is very demanding. The pores on the face are smaller and tighter after using this product for longer. My face feels fresh and clean after using it. I use it after washing and cleansing my face in the morning and at night. My only complaint is the product's smell, but luckily, it's not intense or unpleasant. I've heard so much about this Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner so of course I had to try it out! I've been using this tone for a little over 2 weeks now and I must say it has become my favorite! It gently cleanses, conditions and refines your pores. I love that it cleanses your skin so well without over drying it like a lot of toners usually do. This toner is fragrance free and made up of 100% Natural Distilled Witch Hazel. This 100% natural toner is free of dyes, parabens, sulfates, phthalates and gluten. Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner has been apart of their pure skincare promise since 1866 and definitely keeps a name for itself! DISCLAIMER: I received this product complimentary in an Influenster VoxBox for review. After a week of trying all three products in the Dr Jart TeaTreement line, I think the toner is my favourite. Like the others, the tea tree scent is strong but fades quickly, and doesn't tingle or burn the way tea tree essential oil can do. This toner is almost completely made up of aqueous extract of tea tree. It's pretty gentle.I will say, I did not size any kind of reduction in pore size or appearance while using TeaTreement products, including the toner. Nothing will actually change the size of your pores. Daily cleansing can keep them clean, but that's about it. What this toner CAN do is wipe away any dirt that's left behind after cleansing, and help to soften up rough patches on the skin to prime it for moisturising. This can contribute to a reduction in visible redness on the skin. I really liked including this toner as a part of my skincare routine, and I think I'll keep it around, especially for morning use.Toni M.
Guys- this toner is the star of the Dr. Jart trio (cleanser, toner, moisturizer). I LOVE this stuff. It removed anything the cleanser left behind, and really added to the silky smooth finish I felt. Personally, I love clean smell of the tea tree ingredient, but it may be a little strong for anyone who is first using. With tea tree products I am always nervous they will dry or irritate my skin- FEAR NOT! This product is especially amazing for anyone with combo skin, or skin that’s excessively dry OR oily! It’s perfect if you have sensitive skin- timers can be a big no no for anyone with sensitivity but this is the one and only that did not leave me with red skin. My acne completely calmed down from using the toner, and the moisturizer after really sealed the deal for me. I would recommend all three products for anyone that is serious about clearing up their complexion. It may seem pricey at first- but I promise once you use it you will understand why I wrote this review!KailandCo
I struggled with acne in my back and chest for over many years now: i tried every "anti-acne" cream on the market and i even got medical creams to help me with my issue. Nothing worked. I received this product in a sample once, and decided to try it. I kid you not, after only 3 uses, i started to see improvement in my skin. I immediately purchased the full size and i have been applying this product 1-2 times a day for a month now. My acne completely disappeared within 3 weeks. The results are absolutely mind blowing! I'm really baffled. I turn 30 next month and my once clear and even skin had really become extra sensitive to just about everything, from retinol to hyaluronic acid, it just appeared I would have either enflamed or dried skin slowly wrinkling and discoloring for life. I use the differin adapalene gel, which has helped my acne and my wrinkles miraculously, but my skin is so so sensitive to it.
I bought this toner because I was finally at my wits end and seeking anything that could gently calm my skin, I found this while also grabbing my gel and omg…I am not joking when I say it delivers what it promises and then some. My red and dried cracking skin was instantly soothed by this, when any lotion (with parfum or not) would exacerbate it, eliminating moisturizing at all. I cannot believe how well this skin care routine is working for me, touching on skin problems not even bc could touch. I highly recommend this toner, it will not hurt your sensitive skin! This toner tends to leave a residue on the skin. When my skin is really going through it I will apply this after cleansing. I only use this when I don’t have to go out because after a while my face starts to feel greasy and the product feels heavy on the skin. I end up cleansing again before applying the spot treatment. The frequency that I’ve been taking this is everyday for about one month, and so far I’ve been seeing lots of improvement in the quality of my overall health and specifically in my hair and skin health helping moisturize it and making me look younger in age. I have to say first of all the package is very well put. I also noticed some benefit in my nails health. This was my first ever AHA/BHA product and it's a MASSIVE blessing. Even as someone who's somewhat sensitive to glycolic acid, I never reacted to this product. I never even experienced redness or stinging (like with the AHA Whitehead liquid, which I still use because the redness fades in an hour). This is the perfect introduction for your skin to chemical exfoliants. If you travel like me (that's why there's tape on the cap lol), the bottle is super sturdy and won't break. It feels smooth and sleek to hold, if you enjoy how the packaging feels as part of your skincare experience. The product itself is also a lot for a spray so it lasts for quite a while. I bought this when it was 60% off so I thought the price was great, especially for my poor Pakistani wallet My only complaint is the nozzle. Because it's a spray, I can't control where it goes and it often lands on my eyes and mouth, where I have to wipe it off from (because those zones shouldn't be exposed to chemical exfoliants). I wish it was a drip bottle that I could pour into my hands.
I have very sensitive skin that is prone to dehydration. This has been a life safer for the insatiable itch I've been currently experiencing due to FUNGAL ACNE! 🙁 I soak a cotton pad and leave it on to the most itchiest parts (as well as spray everywhere on my face) and it calms the itch after all the toner has been absorbed! I use this multiple times a day and night as needed without irritation. This toner is very gentle. I tested the ph around 4.5 if I remember correctly. Fungal acne doesn't like acidic ph AND this product does not contain any ingredients that it may feed on. It feels sooo refreshing, hydrating on a HUMID day (has panthenol) and slightly sebum reducing on a normal, non-humid day. It's the perfect toner for me because it matches the skin's ph and doesn't disturb the skin's acid mantle barrier. I have been spritzing through this soooo fast! Other notes: I used to think I was allergic to salicylic acid derivatives but I realized that if I have a compromised skin barrier, everything irritates it even this. If you have normal skin, you would like it but don't expect it to super exfoliate because it doesn't. It provides the most gentle …. hmmm .. like quick refreshment/ quick swipe cleansing of the face. Toners always help with the extra boost my skin needs. This toner has hyaluronic acid, lipidure, and beta glucan. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite go-to ingredients for hydration. This toner does not fail and does a good job of hydrating my skin. Recently, I tried a cleanser that dried out my skin (will be doing a review of it, keep an eye out!) and I used this a lot to get my skin hydrated afterwards. The toner is also super gentle and my skin absorbs it very fast. It does feel sticky afterwards (yay!). The texture is thicker than I expected and not too watery or runny. It’s super easy to work with in my opinion. So this will probably sound a little strange, but it almost smells like aftershave to me. I actually like the smell of aftershave and this toner but it is a little strong. The company has an unscented version of this toner. For anyone who is sensitive to smell, I would recommend trying the unscented version. If you are indifferent to smell and/or like the smell of aftershave, this toner is definitely a good one to try!ladyboss.r
I've been using this product for almost 2 years now, being part of the first group of K-cosmetics I have ever bought. Let's start with my skin needs: I have sensitive, dehydrated combination skin that sometimes likes to breakout resulting in textural irregularity and dullness. Sometimes super oily. Do you recognise yourself? Then this is the toner for you! (But i believe that any skin type could only benefit from this) The texture of this toner is in between the one of an essence and the one of a serum, resulting in being a very ''milky toner'' texture if you get what I'm saying. Applying after cleansing really feels like putting back into your skin what you took out with cleansing. It's super lightweight and if your skin's like mine, you can easily follow with a serum and a moisturizer/spf. It's completely fragrance free and cruelty free. What's not to love? Does it work? We all know the feeling of using a product and not seeing a difference at all. Well, THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! Every time I use it in the morning, my skin will be glowing all day long, till the evening, resulting very hydrated, supple and ultra healthy. I also notice less redness and overall blemish control when I start using it again after a pause period of time (usually while I wait for the next box to arrive lol). Great for adding extra hydration. I use this after cleansing toner and before serum and cream. The smell is a lovely calming herbal smell. I can imagine the smell can take some getting used to if you're not familiar with asian herbs. I apply with my hands and pat on until absorbed. My skin has greatly improved since switching to this and a hyaluronc acid serum. My frown line and slight laugh lines have almost completely disappeared. this product is always raved about online and I'm happy I could finally try it, im really happy with how much my overall skin condition has improved whilst using this product in conjunction with the other products in my skincare routine. Initially I purchased the basic kit without the toner. When it was time to reorder, I included the toner. I’m truly enjoying it! The directions say to use it during the morning routine only, but I am using it faithfully both morning and evening. I love the way it makes my skin feel- fresh, soft, clean! I do think it is helping with my horrible hormonal acne. I’ve been using the products for 2.5 months. While I’m still having breakouts, overall they are fewer and my skin looks and feels much better! You guys… THIS is what my skincare routine has been missing! I've been using Averr Aglow products for a few months now (#1 & 2, plus the exfoliating mask and mascne spray), but not quite willing to totally give up on my anti-aging products. I was loving how healthy my skin felt, but still experiencing more blemishes than I was expecting or happy with. I have really really bad blackheads and always have using this has definitely helped some. It didn’t cure them all overnight but I see an improvement and less wrinkles in my skin. I use the luminous kit. It is getting really pricey at this point. I’ve used it for two months now and have got three orders (of various items that run out). Hoping they come out with a cheaper refill packaging soon because I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford this much longer. I had a really bad rash and acne when I turned 23. And it took me until now (2 years later) to find products that worked for my skin. I went to a dermatologist and they had me use some creams and just plain facewash and it helped clear up the rash but didn’t help my skin tone or complexion. I used origins before but my face just didn’t like any of it for long, it’ll always have a reaction every week.Sophia M.
