Best Korean Serum For Glass Skin (2025 Update)

I love it alot!! My skin feels smoother after one application and I can't live without it. Been nearly a month now I'm using it and my scars on my cheeks has smoothen out little. But it still made my skin on the drier side so I will need to use a richer moisturizer for it. It lightens up my skin tone too and I don't need much makeup.. it also tighten my skin when I applied it. There is a lightly scent to it but it is not disturbing. It dries up fast too. I always use 9 drops as i like to cover my whole face evenly but it is still not oily on the face. It is a good quality for the price of it. I loved the texture of this serum! My skin absorbs it right away and it doesn’t leave any sticky residue. The scent is also very light and quite pleasant, it fades right away. I’ve been using this product for 3 weeks now along with sunscreen and I can tell that my skin is brighter and some of my acne scars have begun to fade. For the first two weeks of using the Glass skin series, I had the most radiant skin of my life – my skin has been clear for years, thanks to Korean Skin care & a clean diet, but the Glass skin brought out a gorgeous otherworldliness. And then… the cystic acne. And cluster acne. Aiee…. I really want to love this stuff, and I've read that the acne can happen because of the greater cell turnover due to the hyaluronic acid, so I'm now experimenting with steaming my face nightly, and have also moved down from two pumps of the glass skin serum morning & night (to my face and neck) to just one pump at night, mixed with organic argan oil. Then I apply the Matcha cream. (And on top of that, if I think a little more moisture might help, I put on some Cerave, just because it's less speedy.) It's possible this might help… TBD! I bought this on a whim back in May because I was in the market for a serum, I love K-beauty, and had heard good things about this brand. I went all in on the regular sized bottle despite the price and I'm so glad I did. This stuff has transformed my skin so much. I'm extremely pale and prone to redness and uneven skin tone/texture but ever since I started using this regularly every night before bed, my skin has looked 100x more even, softer/smoother, and it just has this lovely glow that I never had before. I hardly feel the need to use much if any concealer/foundation anymore because my skin just looks that good. The texture of the product is smooth and feels really nice when applying. I just use a fingertip's worth on each section of my face; it doesn't take much so this bottle should last a while. I will say that I have found that my skin tends to get a little flaky the next morning if I don't follow this up with a moisturizer, so I would definitely recommend always moisturizing after or possibly staying away if you are prone to super dry skin. This review has been a long time coming. I have been using this product since November of 2021. I cringe at the reviews for not giving a product ample amount of time to work. It's not a few time use to get the results, it's not instant. A lot of people were mentioning they break out and that's fair. But you need to realize your skin is purging the prior toxins. Skin regenerates, like your lashes shed. You can basically describe me as a skin cake junkie. Its done wonders on my skin in the past 8 months. Nowadays, I barely put any powder. It's leaves my skin a perfect foundation for primers to put on make up. When you're using a product with hyaluronic acid you need to add it to moist skin. (I didn't know that at first-research before your dump it) If you don't, it will dry out your skin (hence the break outs). I use this serum with the glass skin veil mist. When you put the two products together it is prime! You'll need to dab the serum on your skin until you get a slightly tacky texture. When you reach that point, then add your moisturizer. It does not leave a white cast or greasy finish. Only a small amount is needed and one bottle can last quite a bit. Ingredients are of good quality. Will repurchase! I been struggling with getting something that’s good for my skin. I have combo skin and uneven skin tone. Let me say this has helped tremendously with moisturizing my dry areas in just a couple uses. This is a beautiful and hydrating layer in the routine, but it isn't as moisturizing as I might have expected. I do love it but even though I have combination skin I definitely need to apply a good cream over it, even when I do four or more layers of this. That's to be expected. The consistency is milky and soft, it applies and spreads easily, doesn't pill at all, doesn't irritate, and layers very nicely. The only downside of this is the dropper, the bulb is very small and the tube is large and the product is not very fluid, so you really have to get it out in several goes instead of just one. They could fix this by increasing the size of the bulb. It's not a real problem but something easy to improve.Michael O.

I've tried a few other PK products and loved all of them, but wasn't sure about this one. I expect serums to be liquid/runny but this one is pretty thick and milky white? The dropper is useless and I'm pretty sure it's too short to even reach the bottom of the tube, and it doesn't pick up or squirt any product. If it does, it shoots it everywhere. I honestly had to just dip it in and use the outside of the dropper to scrape the product off onto my finger and then apply. I'm not sure if it did anything for my skin, but I also didn't use it consistently enough to fairly test it. Like I said, it's more viscous, but it applies more smoothly like a liquid, soI think you could get a lot of coverage with little product.Irene

I bought this because I had a spot on my cheek where the skin barrier was disrupted due to rosacea. It was red and dry and a little peely. The prescription rosacea cream and tea tree oil wipes I use cleared up most of the rosacea but this one spot would not fully heal. I used this serum and within 1 day, the spot was gone. I was amazed. It really does repair the skin barrier. It makes my skin smooth and moisturized with eliminates redness (which I think was from being dry). I've since bought other products from this line because I was so happy to find something that actually repairs the barrier. Tip: I also use this on my lips. I took Accutane 20 years ago and my lips have been very dry ever since. I couldn't find a product that would actually moisturize them and not just sit on top. This actually absorbs and moisturizes my lips and makes them smooth. I put this on first, then will put a lip balm on top to lock this in.L.W.

I used this alongside the moisturising toner when I was in need of barrier repair and hydration. This to me just feels like a lightweight moisturiser. Which may be great for those with really dry skin, underneath another moisturiser, but for me it’s just far too heavy if used alongside another product. And makes no sense for me to use it alone as I could just use any lightweight moisturiser. Some may like the glowy look it leaves but it just made me look exceptionally greasy. I didn’t listen to the reviews and ploughed on to buy this serum. Product is brilliant, no issues at all. Packaging is awful. Stopped working on second day and I had to yank off the yellow top with scissors. Now I smack out the serum to apply. Why isn’t the packaging changed to a tube or a dropper bottle? They aren't joking, calling this a "softening" serum. The ingredient list is phenomenal and it shows when you use it. Well, at least it did for me. Made my skin not only soft but also so…. healthy-looking? People kept saying my skin looked like it was glowing, even on days when I hadn't slept lol Now that I've gone through the whole bottle I can say that the effects last only if you're using the serum on a daily basis. To be hones, I was quite skeptical about this product claiming to visibly reduce pore size as pores do not go away like acnes. After consistently using this product day and night for 2 months… Im now 😲 shocked. I can literally tell my pores are less visible and much smaller. My skin was irritated and feeling dry. I took a chance on this serum, even though I was eyeing the CosRX snail mucin one, because I wanted to try ginseng. The scent is very light which I like because ginseng can be strong!! The serum makes my face feel very moist and I can tell my complexion has improved. Patchiness is gone and overall tone is more even (but also I'm trying to stick with my skincare regimen so that might be the overall result). Like the other reviews, I wish the bottle was glass. Recently I had a break out and my skin became very dry. I came across this ginseng serum review from a youtuber and I decided to give it a try. I used the ginseng toner together with the serum for a week now and I am absolutely happy with the result . 2-3 days after i start using these 2 products, my skin calms down and the break out stops. My skin also feels soft and bright. The serum is very hydrating and noursihing. Last year, i tried the glowing serum from the beauty of joseon also. This serum feels great on the skin and you get a good amount of product. Because it has snail mucin, it's very spreadable. The formula feels gentle and moisturizing, with no overt stickiness. I bought for an anti-aging and moisturizing effect. I can't say I notice a particular glow… or any specific change to my skin, though. I have been using Yeouth Hyaluronic Acid Serum for the past few years. I have used other hyaluronic acids, but I like this one the best. It only has two ingredients in it–the main ingredient being hyaluronic acid. I use it at morning and night. First, I apply my Vitamin C serum, and then put the hyaluronic acid on top of that. Then I apply moisturizer. It is very soothing when you apply it and soaks right in. I love the way it makes my skin feel and look. My skin feels instantly revived, plumped and smoothed. I messaged Yeouth not only did they immediately send out the Retinol Serum, they let me keep the Hyaluronic Acid Serum. Great customer service!! Blithe Tundra Chaga Pressed serum. So weird, So Cool!…another Try-it item here on iHerb. When you open the jar, you see this light brown gel-cream stuff. Weird! When you try it you know why it's called pressed serum. It's very dense and almost melts when it contacts the warmth of your skin and begins to dissolve. This gives you more of a liquid effect. It melts right into facial skin leaving the area smooth and moist for hours. This is so enjoyable to use. I originally bought the smaller trial size version, unsure if I could commit to the larger size since the brand was unknown to me. The reviews were convincing enough, but once I depleted the trial size, I HAD to purchase the larger size. This is my new favorite moisturizer and I plan to use it as long as it is available. The price is more than fair for the quality and the size of the jar since a little bit does go a long way. I didn’t have a specific skin concern I needed to address with this, I just wanted something that was gentle enough to use day or night and that could be layered with other serums or oils as needed. I plan to update my review later on if I notice any reduction in fine lines and firming, but as of now, I have not used it long enough to notice. Glad I got this little sample pot. It feels nourishing to my 40yo skin, yet is so beautifully light, doesn't feel 'cheap' or full of junk, and i don't feel nervous about using it on the under eye area. No residue feel from it whatsoever. I don't wear make-up very often but i imagine this would work well as a primer. The sample jar is quite small, but seeing that only a tiny amount of product is needed to cover the entire face and neck i think it will be adequate for a decent trial. A favourite YouTuber of mine quoted some studies about using a cica serum after your vitamin c serum every morning to help boost collagen in the skin. It is of course too soon to notice a difference however, this is a great serum to use after vitamin c or any irritating serum as it really calms my skin and makes it feel smooth. I’ve been using Cosrx pure Fit Cica-7 Serum for a little while now, and so far I’m satisfied with the results. I’ve gone through 2 bottles so far, with a third in my stash, and as a result, I was incredibly curious about the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum. This serum goes such a long way for its size, making it a great value ESPECIALLY for its quality. The packaging is both sleek and sturdy, and very travel-friendly. I’m 26 with dry/combination and sensitive skin, and I first bought this when my skin’s moisture barrier was compromised. This (along with my trusty moisturizer and SPF) got my skin barrier back in good shape within a week. I use 2-4 pumps of this every day, and one bottle usually lasts me 2-3 months. According to Innisfree, this moisturizing serum is formulated from freshly squeezed Jeju green tea and green tea seeds to dewy skin and glowing skin. So, this serum comes in a sturdy hard plastic bottle with a pump. It comes in 80 ml (2.7 oz) and has a citrus-y herbal type scent, which isn’t super overwhelming. The serum is a loosely watery gel consistency and absorbs into the skin quickly leaving a slightly tacky feeling. Recommended use is to apply an appropriate amount onto thoroughly cleansed face and neck then gently smooth for better absorption. After using, over the long amount of time that I used this serum I found that it slowly began to lighten my skin and add a healthy glow. The scent isn’t too overwhelming and it didn’t irritate my skin at all, however, there is a lot of fragrance to this serum so avoid this if you have super sensitive skin, or give it a try before buying. The ingredients are good but include a lot of possible irritants. The feel of the serum is slightly cooling and absorbs quickly, I didn’t mind the tacky sensation because I apply many things over it. I appreciated the pump and finding a serum that’s 80 ml is not something I see too much, so this lasted a really long time, over 6-8 months. What I like: this serum really brightened my skin and gave it such a healthy glow, I think this really tackles redness. I love pumps so that’s always a plus and this serum comes in a bigger size, many serums range anywhere from 30 ml (approx 1 ounce) to 60 ml (approx 2 ounces), so finding serums in 80-100 ml is rare indeed. This serum seriously lasts most of the year. I liked the ingredients and I thought the scent was pleasant enough and smelled of essential oils. I been struggling with getting something that’s good for my skin. I have combo skin and uneven skin tone. Let me say this has helped tremendously with moisturizing my dry areas in just a couple uses. I wanted to use this for a month before writing my review, just to be sure, but yes! This product has been great for my sensitive skin. My skin reacts with a lot of things- I get red splotches especially around my nose from opening a dusty book, washing my face too rigorously, etc. to make matters worse, I have experienced acne for as long as I can remember, and have always used harsh products to try and control it (if it stings that means it’s working, right? Ugh my way of thinking was so wrong). Needless to say my moisture barrier was destroyed. I switched to Korean skin care and started using the most gentle, moisturizing products I could for about three months. I was seeing good improvement, but wanted to add in a serum to help. When I first applied this serum, it stung. I was super nervous, worried I’d have to wash it all off. I had done a patch test, but sometimes you just don’t know until you apply it to your face. Despite the stinging, I decided to wait for 5 minutes just to see what would happen. The stinging stopped after a few minutes, and my face never turned red. Seeing as I get red blotches as a reaction from just about everything, I figured this couldn’t be too bad. Beyond the stinging at application, I’ve never experienced anything else (no rash, no itch, no burn, no redness). I’ve used it every night for a month, it almost always stings at first, and yet my skin looks and feels better than ever. I can touch my face now without it getting red and splotchy. In fact, I haven’t had a splotchy rash appear on my face in weeks. I have no idea why this product stings when I apply it, but my skin really doesn’t seem to be having an adverse reaction to it. My skin is looking and feeling healthier than ever.. (And for the record, it’s not a painful or strong sting. Just definitely not something I expected from this type of a product). I know it sounds stupid to be using a product that stings a little, but honestly beyond the slight stinging for a short period of time this makes my skin feel amazing. My skin is healthy, smooth, less blotchy, and I’m seeing an improvement in my acne. My only complaint is how quickly the bottle empties. I only use one pump of each side at night, but I was surprised by the end of the first week to see how much the product had gone down by. This product is nice, I like the duel action. It's not sticky. Very lightweight. The product container isn't very friendly for getting the last bit of its contents out of it. It seems like very heavy plastic. For the price point I probably wont buy it again.Mary

I was excited about this product, unfortunately it does not work for me. It has been incredibly very harsh on my face, I have been pilling all over my face, I have had irritation. My face became dry cardboard- like. At the beginning, I though it was the weather plus getting used to this new product, so I kept wearing it. However, after two weeks the irritation did not change and the dryness was awful. Even though I was wearing moisturizer and sunscreen during the day, it felt I was not wearing anything!!! My skin felt dehydrated and very dull. I switched back to another NEOGEN serum that I usually love and my skin thanked me. I don't give a lower score because I assume this is a good NEOGEN product, I had never had any complain and bad experience with their products, but this Probiotics Double Action Serum did not work out for me at all.Maria G.
