I purchased this product last summer and began using it immediately. I love that I don't need to purchase gels to use with this, like many other machines, because I'm allergic to the ingredients in the gels. I used this for 5 weeks and really began seeing results mid-summer. I had to discontinue use of this due to pregnancy. However, it's February now, and I can still see the results. I still have a lot of hair growth, because I didn't use it for the full 8 weeks, but all hair that was removed during the summer is still gone. It has not grown back. Please understand that hair grows in cycles. This machine is only supposed to be used once per week for 8 weeks…possibly a little longer. While we may be impatient and want to get faster results, using it more frequently will not yield faster/better results because hair grows in cycles. You can't kill hair growth after you already killed it. You also can't kill hair growth that is not in active growing stage yet. I really started to notice results after 4 weeks of use because I was able to see the thinning of the hair that was growing in. After the 8 weeks of use are done, you may still need to use a round of it from time to time, as we develop new hair follicles every so often. This does not mean that the machine doesn't work. It simply means, your body is producing more hair follicles. This machine promises to get results in the same amount of time as getting your hair professionally removed. I too had high hopes for this product after having done lots of research. I too have fair skin and dark hair which should be the ideal combination for success. I followed all manufacturers recommendations for preparation prior to use. I "used up" the flash head that came with the unit and the overall result is absolutely no change in either the amount of hair or it's rate of regrowth. (Reality check…. the flash is used up when it no longer fires…. not after 5000 or however many flashes. That is a scam on an already overpriced item of questionable value) I went so far as to only use the unit on the high setting and was doing two, 10 minute sessions per day. Still no visible results. Great packaging…… convincing sales and video presentation on the ME web site……. but none of those things translate into an effective device. I have had the Braun IPL PL3012 for several weeks, and I have used it 4 times, with one week between uses. I have fair/light skin (always burn without sunscreen, but can tan) and medium colored hair. The skin on my lower legs is not sensitive, but it is very sensitive on my inner thighs and bikini line and underarms, which makes shaving painful. I have not had any adverse effects or reactions to using this product. The PL3012 is relatively easy to use. The biggest challenge for me was looking away from the device when the laser was in use. For this reason, I found it easier to use single pulses (stamp mode), move the device to the next spot, and then activate another single pulse. The head does gently glide along the skin if you choose to use the glide mode. There is a slight stinging in some areas that quickly goes away, but in most places there is only a warm sensation. It is very similar to how it felt when I had laser hair removal done at a salon, but much more affordable and easier to schedule. The included booklet says it can take several uses over a few months to interrupt all the hair's growth cycles. Thus, I don't have significant results to report yet. The Braun Silk Expert Pro 3 Hair Removal System has been great to have at home. You can use this right out of the box, there is no set up required. I really liked that it comes with a razor. The directions are so easy to understand and follow. With my skin color and hair color it worked really well. I really like that when you are using this if a part of your skin or hair color isn't correct it won't work, you will see a red light. On areas you can use it the flash will go off on it's own. The flash is very bright on this. I do end up wearing sunglasses while using this. That would really be my only issue. There is a little bit of heat that the light and flashes give off. But this does not hurt at all. You can also turn down the setting on here if you don't need it so high or if you are a little bit more sensitive. I have always had a lot of excess body and facial hair, have spent decades having IPL at the beautician’s with limited success, and have suffered the rashes and ingrown hairs from shaving and waxing since I was a teenager. De Braun IPL PL3011 heb ik nu 3 weken in gebruik. Ik laser mijn onder- em bovenbenen en oksels een keer per week. Bij mijn partner heb ik hem gebruikt voor zijn rug. Ook 3x gedaan dus tot nu toe. Het laseren is pijnloos. Een voorwaarde is wel dat de huid glad geschoren moet zijn. Bij een vergeten haartje voel je een klein speldenprikje. Verder voelt het laseren warm aan, maar heb ik als prettig ervaren. Of de haren definitief weg zijn, daar kan ik nog geen antwoord opgeven, daar gebruik ik hem te kort voor. Ik heb wel het idee dat ik tussendoor nu minder heb hoeven scheren. Ook nu voor het eerst de bikinilijn geprobeerd, en dat is ook pijnloos. De laser geeft een zeer felle flits, wat niet prettig is om in te kijken. Een paar keer is niet erg, maar wanneer je met je benen of een rug bezig bent is het steeds wegkijken (wat Braun adviseert in de handleiding) niet te doen en erg omslachtig. Ik vind het prettig om te zien hoe ver ik de laser opschuif. Het zou Braun prijzen wanneer zij een brilletje toevoegen in de verpakking die ook gebruikt worden in de professionele salons. De laser geeft goed aan wanneer het mondstukje niet genoeg contact maakt met de huid. Hij ligt lekker in de hand, is niet zwaar en het snoer is lang genoeg om makkelijk te kunnen werken. Ik heb de laser gratis ontvangen om te mogen testen. Ik ben er erg tevreden over het gebruiksgemak. Als het haar definitief wegblijft vind ik de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding zeer goed.Britt

Wer sich lästige Haare an Beinen, unter den Achseln und auch im Gesicht und der Bikinizone entfernen möchte, ist mit diesem Gerät bestens bedient. Die Handhabung ist einfach, leicht verständlich und sehr anwenderfreundlich. Bei dem Silk-expert Pro 3 PL handelt es sich um ein kabelgebundenes Gerät für den Hausgebrauch. Es ist leicht und liegt gut in der Hand. Wichtig ist, sich vor der Behandlung gründlich zu rasieren und abzutrocknen. Die automatische Lichtanpassung sorgt dafür, dass das Gerät nur bei vollem Hautkontakt Lichtimpulse abgibt. Bei gedrückter Anwendungstaste gibt das Gerät automatisch Lichtimpulse ab und man kann z.B. damit am Bein entlang gleiten. Für kleinere Hautflächen z.B. unter den Achseln oder Bikinizone kann man die Anwendungstaste selbst betätigt und wieder loslassen. Dadurch wird nur ein Lichtimpuls ausgelöst und man kann gezielter behandeln. Die Hauttypbestimmung übernimmt das Gerät automatisch und passt sie auch permanent neu an, da ja die Haut an den unterschiedlichen Körperstellen auch eine andere Tönung hat. Das Gerät ist einfach, ohne jeden Aufwand zu bedienen. Die Idee der IPL Technik ist, die Haare durch Lichtimpulse dazu anzuregen, in eine Ruhephase zu gehen, das Haar soll ausfallen und am Nachwachsen gehemmt werden. helle und graue Haare werden nicht entfernt. In der Anfangsphase sollte man 1 Anwendung pro Woche ca. 4-10 Wochen lang durchführen bis keine Haare mehr nachwachsen. Al enige tijd ben ik zeer nieuwsgierig naar de werking van een IPL. Niet meer hoeven scheren of epileren wat zou dat fijn zijn!! Inmiddels heb ik de Braun IPL PL3011 vier weken getest. In het begin was ik een beetje bang dat het gebruik ervan pijn zou doen maar je voelt er echt helemaal niks van. Wat een verademing als je dat vergelijkt met epileren. Het apparaat is gemakkelijk in gebruik en het snoer is heel lang dus je hebt er geen last van. Daarnaast is apparaat ook heel ‘slim’, het schat namelijk zelf jouw huidskleur in en op basis van jouw kleur wordt de flitssterkte ingesteld. Daarnaast kun je niet flitsen als het apparaat niet volledig de huid bedekt, en dat is wel een veilig idee (i.v.m. schade aan de ogen). Al met al is de Braun IPL PL3011 een heel mooi systeem waarover is nagedacht. Het enige wat ik handig zou vinden, maar ik weet de oplossing niet, is dat je kunt zien waar je geweest bent met de flitsen. De grote vraag is natuurlijk wel: werkt de IPL? Ik heb het apparaat 4 weken mogen testen en de haren lijken wel dunner minder hard te zijn geworden maar ik heb nog wel steeds haargroei. In de gebruiksaanwijzing staat ook dat je het apparaat langere tijd ( +/-12 weken) wekelijks moet gebruiken om geen haargroei meer te hebben, dus ik zit nog niet eens op de helft. Kortom het apparaat is heel gebruiksvriendelijk en ingenieus, dat geeft veel vertrouwen dat het resultaat er ook na 12 weken mag zijn.Pauline0410

I have used this product for three weeks and have seen some reduction in hair growth. I know it takes a few months for significant results but am happy that it is so easy to use. The attached razor is a very useful feature. I am focusing on my bikini area and face first. I have been doing my legs when I have extra time. For my face and bikini area it takes about 15 minutes. After reading the reviews one of the reasons I bought the Touch was its claims to work on blond hair. I have used the Touch on the area around my lips, underarms, and legs. Several years ago I had laser hair removal on underarms and legs and haven’t had touch ups for five years and hair has fully grown back. I used the Touch on high & went over each area 3X I repeated this 3X a week on all 3 areas. It stopped hair growth on my legs after 2 months. After 3 months underarm growth has stopped. My face where the hair is blond after 3 months the hair is finer but regrowth rate has not reduced. The Touch works well for maintenance of areas where one has previously had laser hair removal on dark hair but on hair removal/reduction on new areas of blonde hair it has not proved to be as effective. At 3 months I am currently doing: legs 1X a month going over the area 2X on high; underarms 1X a week going over the area 2X on high; face 3X a week going over the area 3X on high. I am happy with results on legs and underarms but disappointed with facial hair results because the claims for blond hair is the reason I chose this product.DenverReviewer
I’ve tried a few hair laser removal devices and this one is probably my favorite. Prior to this product, I was using a Tria. And the Tria was great, effective and all, but I simply could not tolerate the pain. It just hurt too much. The pain level from this product is much more tolerable. I love that it can be plugged into the electrical socket on the wall for continuous use, unlike Tria, which runs on rechargeable battery. I also love that the laser head is so much bigger (Roughly about 2×0.5inch) which means that it can cover an area so much faster, which shortens my torment. For that, I definitely prefer this device over Tria, even though I found that the Tria’s laser is stronger and more effective. Oh, I should probably tell you that I use this machine everywhere but mostly on my problem areas which are my armpits and umm.. downtown. I have fair skin and very dark hair, also very coarse. So, I am a prime candidate for laser hair removal. And I also have a lot of hair. (Seriously, it’s a lot, like out of control, curse of a bush, a lot) Ok, now I’ll tell you from the beginning about my experience with this device. When I first got this device and began using it, I was so disappointed. I’d followed instruction, I’d shaved before zapping and I’d follow the steps that the booklet told me to do. I did that for several months with no results what so ever. I then began to use the device more frequently, on the highest setting, for experiment sake. But that yielded no better results neither. I was about to give up when I went back and read the booklet again to double check if I was doing something wrong. And the booklet said that for those with light colored hair, it is recommended to wax or epilate prior to zapping. I don’t have light colored hair but I decided to epilate before zapping anyway, for experiment sake, and that changed everything. My hair nearly stopped growing back after that first time. I was shocked. Normally, with shaving, it would grow back within 12 hours, with waxing or epilating, it would grow back within a week or two. I waited a full month and maybe only 30% of the hair came back. So, I repeated this process again. Epilate first and zap immediately after. And I do mean immediately afterwards, as in, within seconds… Yes, it sounds very hardcore, it did hurt, but it worked. (But it still hurts a lot less than Tria) For your information, I have never been one with sensitive skin, my skin is actually quite tough, so I knew I could handle this. I definitely can’t speak for everyone. When I do this, sometimes I’d literally smell the scent of burning hair, but I didn’t mind it because that was the scent of success, as each time, my hair would grow back slower and less. I went from zapping every two weeks to every month, to every few months. The longer I waited between treatments, the less hair seemed to grow back each time. In the end, my Rambutan became a Cherry and I am so happy with the result. I’ve been using this device for over a year now, but I wasted a lot of months, not epilating before zapping. Now, I have so few hair that can pretty count how many there are and that is astonishing to me. As far as the cartridge replacement go, I’ve never had to replace it. I’ve never gotten a warning and never had the device stopped working for me and I’m quite impressed with this part. Another thing too that I wished someone had warned me about is; the flashing…. Girls… It is so bright!! It’s as bright as camera flashes. I cannot look directly at it. I doubt that anyone could. So, I’d recommend putting on some shades to protect your pretty eyes or look away when you zap, that’s what I do.. I hold my breath and I look away.El1a

I was so excited to receive the Pure NuDerma Cell Energy System. I received it in good condition and well packaged. After opening and reading through the instructions a few times I was still hesitant to use it. It’s kind of intimidating to me. They do have videos on YouTube you can watch before using. I’m afraid I’ll break the fragile wands and tubes. You must handle with care and always pick them up at the base. I tried two of the wands and you get a slight sensation on your skin like a tingling warmth. I haven’t had the time to use any of the other wands. You only use this for a total of 5 minutes every other day. Since I am currently experiencing some hair loss I’ll be mainly be using the rake/comb tube. Maybe the mushroom tube on my chin and around the mouth area. As far as actually using this every other day I’m not sure I’ll get to it because you have to return all tubes to their place in the original box. It’d be much easier if this system came with a caddy to store the base and tubes in so it could sit out and be available when you need it. I’m hoping it will help with my hair loss and stimulate the hair follicles so new growth can begin. Either that or stop the hair loss itself. I believe this is an excellent product in itself as it supercharges the cells and helps reverse the aging progress. Although I do not have wrinkles on my face, my forehead has what to me are the most awful lines (wrinkles)! This review is for the 4 accessory skin therapy wand by Pure. This was my first time trying one of these high frequency wands. I’m vary familiar with creams and serums as I have a strict facial regimen. Upon opening the box I was impressed with the quality of the box. You will keep the wand and accessories in it so having a sturdy place for each glass adapter is important. The cord is super heavy duty. It’s round and thick more like an extension cord than a regular small appliance cord- so that’s great. After reading all instructions and cleaning my face I applied my typical morning serums and turned the wand on its lowest setting. It took a good 20 seconds to reach a constant glow in the wand which per the instructions is perfectly normal. When gliding this around my face using the mushroom adapter it didn’t “feel” like anything. So far I have made it to the second setting and am happy so far. As far as results go skin care isn’t a one time things and you get results. So this review is more on quality of the product vs results. I’m super happy with the quality. The handle of the unit is large and solid feeling. I’m excited to keep using this as from what I read it magnifies the results of your serums and creams. Firstly, I received this as my surprise Birthday present from my husband. He selected this product after a long research comparing multiple products of different brands. The product fits its description as stated. It can be used on most of the body parts with unique attachments. Initially I started using this at level 4 as per the skintone suggestion by the product but it was a bit painful. Later I have reduced the level to 2 and it worked wonders. I have started using this product on my legs and after 4 sessions I was able to see and feel the difference. The hair growth reduced by 65 – 70% and now I just do the regular touch-ups as per my schedule. For notifications of my schedule I use the Philips Lumea app which keeps track of each session and provides useful tips on how to use and store the product with images, videos and comments. Initially the cordless feature was draining the battery quickly, but after following the tips and videos in the app, I am now able to use the product with more ease and efficiency. I am planning to use this product even for other body parts and I will update my feedback later once I use it. By the way, I gave a small demo and recommended this product to my friend and even she is really happy with her purchase 🙂 So if you are thinking about a solution to reduce your hair growth, then I strongly recommend this product without any second thought. I was particularly interested and excited to try this product as shaving my legs has become such a chore that needs to be kept ontop of every other day to ensure they're remain smooth. This device has 3 attachments for different body areas you require hair removal, one for your body/legs, one for your face and one for your under arms and bikini area. The packaging itself felt enticing in a large pink box with a bag provided to keep all your attachments together and charger. The first initial charge seemed to be completed very quickly. I read through the instructions a couple of times to fully understand the process of it, it felt quite confusing at first but I did the patch test as recommended. A day or so later I then re-read the instructions again when doing my first full application. Using the device itself isn't particularly noisy and it leaves a slight tingly sensation on your skin whilst emitting the light. It's recommended you leave the device on charge whilst undergoing the laser treatment (which can prove awkward trying to reach the backs of your legs) I did forget to do this once and sure enough it ran out of charge but overall I'm fairly happy with the battery life of the device. My first attempt I think was slightly rushed and I wasn't covering the surface area accurately enough but after researching further online I realised how close together the flashes really ought to be. I downloaded the app available to use to help keep you reminded when the next treatment is due and found this particularly useful. Having continued to use this and follow the instructions to best I am able I still don't feel like it's working correctly as I'm still having to shave my legs every couple of days as I was before (this is now coming up to the 6th treatment day) Overall I'm honestly quite gutted that it didn't live up to its promise and I'm still hoping I'll start to notice a change soon as this product could really be a game changer if used to its full potential.Hannaaahhx
As a South Asian female, I have thick black hair. Which grows at a very quick speed (would have to shave everyday). However since using the machine there has been a change in the amount of hair, the thickness and the colour (more lighter). The hair grows back in patches so the machine does the job, however it does not do it in the time scale suggested. I've been using the lumea for roughly a year or so and only now have I noticed a difference. I would suggest being very persistent and patient. I would recommend the product. Additionally, the attachment for the under arms and bikini isn't very good, very difficult to lazer those parts of the body. You will require assistance to do those areas, even then the machine does not register the areas. I would hope that Philips come out with a more flexible attachment, as the machine does not register the under arm area or bikini. In terms of pain, I would say the machine is not painless as they suggest, there is some mild discomfort when using it, but the more you use the machine the easier it will be for you.
