This is a poorly designed product for someone who has even a moderate amount of leaves to pick up. I had to empty the bag about every 5-7 minutes. The hose clogged A LOT! Way too often to make using this comfortable. It claims to be a large opening on the bag, but it was difficult to empty. The teeth of the zipper became jammed quite often because of leaf debris as well. This was the only option my Lowe's store had so I took it home and muddled through but it is an inferior product. I bought this product and had high hopes that it would be the tool for keeping stone covered garden beds leaf and debris free. I used it for short periods of time five times. On the sixth occasion, it won’t turn on – completely dead. I work at Lowe’s and bought this unit because it claimed it could do the job I needed to complete. It also carries the Craftsman label and I trusted the brand. It is frustrating and disappointing. I do have a Craftsman ShopVac, which I like; yet, there is no excuse for this useless substandard product. Now I know that Craftsman is no longer the quality tool brand it once was. The silver lining is that I do have the ability to wave customers away from Craftsman electric tools. The similar complaints demonstrate that this is not an isolated case. I've had this product for about 4 months now and have used it 5 times. We have primarily only used the vacuum/mulch feature as we have a cordless blower. As we are getting into peak leaf season I pulled it out today to use around our deck and patio. Within 3 minutes of starting, the hose ripped from the bag and rendered it inoperable. It couldn't be worse timing as the leaves have really started to fall over the last 4-5 days. I almost didn't purchase this product as it felt extremely cheaply made in the store (Lowes) but we have had good luck and multiple seasons with our Craftsman blower. I really regret this purchase and cannot recommend it.RobK

Overall this is a good blower at an average price. My purchase decision was based on price, shape of handle, and the claimed 250 mph air speed. I mainly bought this as a blower and don't have much use for the vacuum and mulcher. The unit is fairly light and well balanced and the on/off switch is conveniently located to operate with your thumb. The pieces seem to be sturdy and assemble easily. There is a very comprehensive user manual (in 3 languages) just in case you need detailed instructions. The 250 mph air speed is, of course, achieved by virtue of the very small narrowing nozzle. Sometimes to do need a very directed narrow jet of air, but sometimes you need a wider flow pattern, which you cant achieve with this blower. That last point is why I gave this 4 stars. It seems that blower manufactures have settled on an either-or design for the blower nozzle. You either get a small, narrow nozzle for speed or a big gaping hole for volume flow. I wish they would provide a nozzle adapter to achieve both. The 6 speed airflow is controlled by a rotary wheel on the side of the handle. I find myself just using the high speed most of the time. At the high speed I can push leaves around at about 10 feet away from the nozzle. A helpful design feature is that the electrical connection to the extension cord is actually an electrical cord extending about a foot for the blower housing, as opposed to being a socket within the blower housing. Another feature to better secure the extension cord is the design of the extension cord latch, which is different and (probably) better than other blowers. In this case you loop the cord through an opening onto a hook, as opposed to passing the extension cord socket head through an opening.MasterReviewer
I tuned up my Sunjoe Leaf Vac for the first time today. I don't have deciduous tree in my front lawn but I somehow end up with all my neighbor's leaves! Gone are the days when parents send their kids to clean up the mess of leaves that blew into my yard from their tree. Lord knows we were expected to clean up our messes no matter where they ended up! Yes, that included sweeping leaves from neighboring yards, sidewalks, and the street. Enter the SUNJOE leaf blower and vac. This puppy really does the job and I am more than pleased! The wheels under the nozzle make vacuuming a breeze and easy on the arms. The bag is easy to remove and empty. It makes a nice mulch too if that sort of thing excites you. I recommend using a heavy duty extension cord as it can pull up to 14 Amps. All that being said, I would highly recommend this product. Put your ear and eye protection on and blow or vac until the offending neighbor is glaring out the window wondering when the heck you will be done. I also have your shredder/mulcher, but using that has to wait for reluctant oak leaves to fall! The blower/mulcher is perfect for rescuing maple leaves from the lawnmower. I was able to blow them all under the 3 trees and then use the mulcher to collect them. Some mulched leaves were put in place immediately while others are bagged until I get their destinations ready! Easy to collect off hardwood mulched area. Only sucked up one piece of mulch that I had to stop and remove. The bag does get heavy for me, so I limit my work time to 2 hours at a time. Wish I could use 100ft of the lighter gauge electric cord (14) since I only have 50 ft of the heavier (12) cord and that would be too heavy to drag around. Mulched maple leaves were a nice shredded size, but I am not sure how finely shred oak leaves will be. Blowing leaves off paved areas very easy!Valurcha
I bought this item for vacuuming out some rock beds in my yard. I tried it in a rock bed full of small sticks and was amazed at how much it picked up. Just remember to zip the bag before you start the vacuum. It is very powerful. The weight is to be expected with a vacuum of power. Had this now for a couple of years and its been solid – I use the blower much more than the mulcher but I wish they had additional handle to better support when blowing the leaves as that spout is on the bottom so its a lot of weight on your one arm to flatten it out to blow farther out. Other than that it has been solid. The few times I used as a mulcher it does all right once you get into a grove as I have a lot of tight spots to get it down into to suck up the debrie.Tim1962
I bought this from Sams last fall. I was disappointed then and again this spring everytime I tried to blow debris from my driveway. The blowing power is very weak even on the high setting. I am so frustrated that I think I will throw it away and buy a new better one like the one I had before.Nibbs
Had great expectations, even though it was a plug-in. The blower, very weak, my battery run Worx blower is a lot stronger. The bagger, is cumbersome and found myself emptying the bag way more than should be expected even though the suction is abysmal. It struggles to pick up more than a FEW leaves at a time. The unit itself, is heavy and unlike the bag, has no strap. I tried to make it work as I would have to lose the tax and shipping cost if I sent it back. Alas, I decided to return it the same day, and take the loss. Good riddance !tscolt

Ok, yes it’s a tad awkward, and clumsy, however so long as the Leaves are dry it makes mincemeat out of garden plant waste. Ideally run the mower over everything first. I basically mulched down10 full bags of garden waste. Perfect for soil amendments in the fall. However if there is any moisture, you have to unclog it. Easily done… it eats battery life, then again I had it going like a Saskatchewan combine harvester. I use it for soil spills no sweat. As the bag gets heavy and full, it starts to get difficult to manoeuvre. My only real issue is the Velcro seal on the bag. It needs to be constantly checked, otherwise it blows back out. All in all quite pleased, I use it daily to keep the leaves down the garden looks immaculate as I vacuum the lawn daily.
I love the concept behind Ryobi's "one" battery / many tools. However now there's two batteries – and maybe more in the future. When I got this I didn't realize it was only a vacuum mulcher. Most of the corded leaf blower / vacuum / mulchers do all 3. That said, it did vacuum and mulch. on a full charge on one of my existing batteries (no battery or charged in this kit either) I could do a small yard and got part way through mulching the leaves that were there. Then I connected my old one with the long extension cords and finished the job. I don't do the job often enough to justify a gas blower, and was looking for the convenience and safety of no cord. But the job (which took 4 hours) would have easily taken 6 or 8 if I'd had to stop and change and charge batteries along the way. Plus, I would have to have a separate blower or rake the leaves before mulching them. For the new discounted price, I still would have hoped for more. That said, if you have a smaller yard? Not good for older people. A bag of leaves can be 20 pounds. Plus the tool and battery. Even with the wheels you would be carrying the heavy end of the tool, plus the leaves.Mitch
Moving this thing around is like moving a sack of potatoes. To get descent suction I had to place the nose of the tube flat on the ground. That's not the worse part. Emptying the bag wasn't all that easy. Ryobi could have made the inside of the bag with a smoother material so the mulched leafs can come out easier. Its a mess with the mulch stuck all over the Velcro and inside the bag. Will be returning product back to store ASAP. Unfortunately, had to return other Ryobi products as well. This was an upgrade from my ancient B&D Leaf Hog. I had tried a couple of other brands of leaf blower/vacuums before buying two of these (one for my daughter and one for myself). in my opinion, this did a better job of vacuuming and mulching leaves, was quieter and didn't grab small rocks and stones. Unfortunately, my blower/vacuum quit working after 15 minutes and was kaput, so I returned it. The other machine seems to be still working fine. I read online that B&D were experiencing problems with the power dial on some machines, so I guess i got one of the gunky ones. I may try another for myself as i otherwise liked how this machine worked before it died.
I had the B&D BV4000 which worked amazingly well for over thirteen years. Unfortunately it still works great but the bag is simply unusable after several repairs, and a replacement is not available "obsolete". It's very frustrating that B&D after all these years with similar negative comments on reviews has still not addressed this issue with bags that do not stand up to the quality of their Leaf Hogs. Such a fine product with one major defect, and the cost of a replacement is approximately 80% of the cost to purchase a new product. I purchased the BV6000 and the bag is already falling apart. Obviously when the vacuum is used to mulch leaves other debris (small twigs, small chunks of mulch, etc.) can be mixed in with the leaves. The bag should be made of a much stronger canvas rather than thin material that cannot withstand strong air pressure or the extra brush that can get lost in the leaves.6156
Pros: 1. The variable speed helps control the power on different surfaces. We have relatively small rocks and I am able to adjust the power so as not to suck up rocks while picking up debris. 2. The rake attachment certainly helps dislodge debris that is clumped or may be slightly damp. 3. The cord retainer also helps eliminate the need to constantly reattach the cord. 4. The bag assembly works well and is easy to empty. Con: 1. The need for a cord is always an issue, however, to get the power and eliminate the hassle with gas engines it is worth the trade off. 2. Just too week to be taken seriously as a yard tool, more of a light duty convenience item but not for the WHOLE Yard, not on one set of batteries or two, I have four 4.0ah batteries and it took everything from both sets just to clear half the front yard on a residential lot and now I am stuck waiting for a recharge to do the rest and hope the wind doesnt blow the leaves around while I wait. Blower isn't as strong as my budget level Craftsman Electric and vacuuming takes a technique of rolling over the leaves to kick them up and get caught in the vacuum airstream, just not good for doing any kind of decent sized yard. Blower power is not what it is advertised to be. On off switch loose and goes past 0 and 5. Bought an extra set of batteries and I am glad that I did. The batteries die before I can get through half of the front yard. Not sure I will purchase a Sunjoe product in the future. I do not recommend this product!,

This is a Great product! I think that the product could use a few adjustments to help out 1) like a deflector or muffler in the back near the plug to blow the air in different directions to keep it from blowing dust into your face. the same for the air coming from the bottom. the air coming from the bag at times blows the leaves back to where you just sucked up leaves. Again if only you could direct that air to the side and back. this isn't a big problem just a annoyance. 2) If this was a gas operated machine it would be much easier to use. 3) I'm not sure if the bag can come off the plastic but that would be a good think too so that you can wash it out and get ALL the dust from what used to be leaves. When you empty out the mulch not all of it comes out. don't get me wrong it all comes out but there is still some that get behind the plastic. 4) a sling that can connect to the front and the back of the handle to have a better balances when using the sling. As far as the performance his thing Rocks! It was picking up wet leaves like nothing which caught me off guard. It sucked up about 20 wet leaves stacked together at once. Which made it clogged up. Had to turn off and remove the leaves which turned into mud. Yes, that how good the suction is. The biggest problem was the extension cord, then the air blowing towards my face. I looked like I was inside the bag I was so dusty. I kept putting my hand in front of the air to deflect it and thought man if they put a small piece of plastic that rotated to direct the air coming out would be great. The air coming from the bag at the bottom isn't bad, but if you could also direct the air that would be good too, but not that much of a problem as the air coming from the back by the handle. I had about 4 years of flower bed debris to clean up – a thick mat of leaves, pine needles, pine cones and some small branches. I wanted a way to mulch all this and not toss it in the landfill. I considered the mulchers where you put leaves into the top and they are mulched with a couple of pieces of heavy string trimmer. I decided against that type because I no not like the designs that don't make it easier and quicker to replace the string trimmer line. After reading several of the reviews of the Turbine Fusion Vacuum, I decided to purchase one. I must say it grinds debris almost into a powder! It can even handle pine cones and small pieces of branches that might be mixed in with the leaves. The way I have used it is to first rake the areas into piles then go suck up the piles (this seemed like a reasonable way considering how matted the debris was). One complaint I saw in the customer reviews was how messy the vacuum was due to the amount of dust generated. Well I understand the dust because of how fine the debris is chopped up. I did find a way to use the Turbine Fusion and minimize the messiness. I found I could lay it on the ground next to my piles of leaves with the vacuum bag on its side then turn the vacuum on and feed leaves to the vacuum tube. They get sucked in and the dust stays mostly on the ground around the bag (I, of course, do not stick my arm into the vacuum tube because the last thing I'd want to do is have my fingers anywhere near fast spinning sharp blades!). My perception is as the bag fills, the suction power is reduced (which is common on indoor vacuums with bags) but this is compensated for when I feed debris into the vacuum tube instead of relying totally on suction power. Overall, I am impressed with the Turbine Fusion. I don't plan to use it on a frequent basis but when I need it I will be glad I have it.KevinG
I bought this unit for the mulching ability and the convenience of having the bag on my shoulder. Tbh, I hesitated because most of the time multi use means mediocre at the multiple uses. I was genuinely surprised and delighted. I tried the "weed eater in a garbage can" method to mulch my yard waste and it was adequate but inconvenient and the pieces were too inconsistent. The turbine fusion mulcher though: it mulches down to a beautifully consistent and easy to use mulch that I love spreading on my beds. See photo for comparison. Pros: convenient, consistent, can mulch more than it states (very small twigs are ok), the blower is powerful a bonus for my purpose. Cons: (these are realistic but dis not stop me from getting work done), Not fast work: the vac is good, not superbly strong, just give it time when it seems like it's not picking up. I had pretty high hopes for this because we get a large amount of leaves in our yard. It works well at cleaning up a raked pile of leaves, however isn't great at pulling up unraked leaves. I have found it will clog easily also if you try to pick up too much at once. It's very silly that they designed the opening wider than the rest of the vacuum wand. I love the concept behind Ryobi's "one" battery / many tools. However now there's two batteries – and maybe more in the future. When I got this I didn't realize it was only a vacuum mulcher. Most of the corded leaf blower / vacuum / mulchers do all 3. That said, it did vacuum and mulch. on a full charge on one of my existing batteries (no battery or charged in this kit either) I could do a small yard and got part way through mulching the leaves that were there. Then I connected my old one with the long extension cords and finished the job. I don't do the job often enough to justify a gas blower, and was looking for the convenience and safety of no cord. But the job (which took 4 hours) would have easily taken 6 or 8 if I'd had to stop and change and charge batteries along the way. Plus, I would have to have a separate blower or rake the leaves before mulching them. For the new discounted price, I still would have hoped for more. That said, if you have a smaller yard? Not good for older people. A bag of leaves can be 20 pounds. Plus the tool and battery. Even with the wheels you would be carrying the heavy end of the tool, plus the leaves.Mitch

I have a relatively large yard with a few trees that generate a lot of leaves in the fall. The B&D Leaf Hog blower with the trash can collector attachment is the best labor saving device for fall leaf cleanup I have found. It is powerful, handles wet or damp leaves easily and relatively lightweight. This newer model with the metal impeller is an improvement over the older LH models I have had that used a plastic impeller. However, all the Leaf Hog units have motors that are not very durable. Do not plan on getting more than 2 to 3, maybe 4 at most, seasons of use out of them. Even on this replacement cycle, buying new blowers is still much cheaper than paying for yard waste bags and trash stickers to have them picked up. I simply mulch the leaves and use them for bedding around my plants. The leaf mulch breaks down over the summer and is gone by the fall. Overall, this Leaf Hog has great function but just do not expect to have it for 7 or 10 years. I was really happy to pick up this refurbished unit at a great price.Esscargo55
Purchased this leaf blower/Vaccum to eliminate excess leaves after two years of not moving a single leaf. It surely was a good idea to get the blower with the higher speed as when we started the removal, we found that the leaves had piled up and compressed the lowest layer, almost like a layer of adobe. It took longer than expected and after reading some of the rerviews on the site, I was fully expecting the blower to start smoking… to sieze up due to the amount of continuous running. Do not believe the hype. This blower is noisey, but it does a fantastic job of moving the items you want removed, to include snow! It does a great job of 'bagging' the leaves/sticks/paper and whatever else you have managed to pile up. The only bad side is that some type of hearing protection, as well as eye protection, should be listed in the operating manual. REQUIRED!! First recon arrived with no packaging at all and motor housing cracked. Second appeared undamaged. No packaging at all. Box punctured. turned on OK. When turned off something with a rotary sound "winding down" unevenly as if something were unbalanced. Returned that too.Do not buy reconditioned if it is heavy! As others have noted, the power switch WILL eventually fail. I have several tools by this company that work great. The R&D person who decided a .50 cent pressure switch would be a good addition to this should be flogged immediately. Within weeks of owning, I started experiencing issues. I use this all the time and didn’t want to wait to ship back and forth the product but it finally died completely at the switch. Customer Support isn’t great with these guys. Seems they have one person who answers phones. Maybe they should consider a second person to help with the call volume. I’d rate higher if the replacement process wasn’t as terrible as this power switch.Buzz112233
I was looking for a powerful cordless leaf blower/mulcher, particularly the mulcher cause leaves cannot always just be blown away and must be picked up and removed from the ground. This one fit my needs and can say it performs just as well as my chorded electric blower/mulcher without the hassle if the chord. Runtime is plentiful with the 4.0ah battery. I get about 20 minutes running at full power which is recommended for the mulcher function. Enough to fill the bag up once or twice, more if you’re just mulching down an organized pile of leaves. I can’t understand why the more powerful leaf blowers are not incorporating the mulcher function.Robert D
I bought the blower because I already have a chainsaw, polesaw and string trimmer. All the batteries are interchangeable. I really like the chainsaw and have no complaints on the polesaw. The string trimmer is okay. About the blower- delivery was lousy (fed-ex) they left it in the driveway near the road in the rain at night, I found it in the morning. The blower was a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be but it works fine and easy to handle and use. I would have preferred a round blower tube instead of a rectangle for ease of attachments. I can't say it's better or worse the the competition but it decent and I am happy with it.Bryan B

I should admit I have only used Toro mowers. They are the best. The blower/vac has always done the job. Bagging leaves is easy except when you try to vacuum a large clump of leaves. No, it will not work on acorns (darn). My wife and I think this is the best. The bags wear out, but considering how much we us the vac. We have only had to buy one bag over the forty years.Chuck47
I did not have much time to use this blower. Shortly after I received it and used it once I came down with COVID-19 and was in the hospital for two weeks. I cannot do any physical activity for another week. It may take a while before I can use it again. I still recommend it. I purchased this item to replace and upgrade from another make of leaf vac. that broke after 10+ years. I found the impeller chamber quickly caked-up with finely ground leaves, to the point that the impeller started to slow, if the leaves were damp (as is often the case in the Fall). The design of the impeller chamber makes it hard to remove the accumulated crud, but with patience and the help of a Popsicle stick it can be done. After a good cleaning and a shot of silicon spray, the chamber didn't foul up again. However, small sticks (that would have easily passed through the impeller) had a tendency to lodge at the top of the black vacuum tube which then became blocked with leaves, with the result that the tube had to be removed and cleared 2 to 3 times per bag full. The tab to unlatch the tube is stiff and the tube is awkward to remove making the whole operation quite frustrating. Also, the variable speed control which serves as the on-off switch does not have a "click to off" position, so the motor would sometimes start to operate when the device was plugged in. The cord lock seemed to be designed for 14 gauge extension cords, but did not handle thicker 12 gauge cords well. On the plus side, the unit seemed relatively sturdy, the leaf bag was large (but probably better suited to taller people) and the resulting mulch was finely chopped and should compost well. If you have mature trees that drop the occasional twigs or might have to vacuum leaves when they are damp, I would not recommend this unit. I had expected better performance from a Toro machine.

I have only put it to limited use, but it does seem to do a credible job on normal yard clean-ups. will have to wait until the leaves really start falling to put it to the test. Although I don't have any trees on my property, I'm surrounded by just about every other species and with the wind constantly blowing, everything ends up in my yard. I just purchased this and received it about a week ago. I really just got it to dry my car off after I wash it and to help clean off my porch and maybe clear a few leaves out front. It does all of that really well. I originally purchased the 6 or 7 amp(?)version of this and that one was like a child's toy. It definitely cleared leaves, but it desperately needed a low and a high speed. It didn't do a good job drying off my car either, it just couldn't blow the water all the way off. This leaf blower will have no problem with that. I got it at a great price as well😉 so I gave my other one to my mom and this is the one that I will be keeping.Bruce
For the price I paid for this, I am a happy camper. This has been used twice in 30 days and it works fine, so far. What others write about slight vibrations, glove use, decent, not for large jobs is accurate. Heavier concrete/ stone dust fragments & wet items need the blower placed right behind. Don't forget the tiny nip "concentrator" that is wedged in the larger tube. It will block your air stream if you forget to take it out before first use.Juanita

I bought this Dec 1, 2014 and in ensuing 4 years of warranty the unit had to be replaced 6 times! The hi/low switch usually failed first, followed by the on/off switch. Each time I had to wait 3 – 4 weeks for the replacement unit. I replaced the 6th time just before the warranty expired a little over a year ago, and this 7th unit also lost its on/off switch a couple of months ago. I noted from my experience with replacing failed units that if I used the unit for mulching that the switch would fail much sooner. So with the last unit I NEVER used the mulcher, and the unit's on/off switch still failed in less than one year. Since I had also invested in the mower and edger/week wacker and can share the batteries, I'm INSANELY considering buying a new blower with another 4 year warranty, since I do not want to have to get new batteries for the 60 or 80 volt versions and the other cheaper 40 volt version is a joke for blowing capacity. In general the blower is great, as I have other GreenWork tools it is very comvenient to be able to purchase the tool only as you can significantly save on a battery. This blower works perfec for leaves and grass remainders left by your mower or trimmer. The power boost is very convenient and in general the blower is easy to operate and lightweight. I would like the blower had a trigger type action button rather than a push button so it would stop as you release the triigger rather than pushing the power button each time, it is just my personal preference. This is an excellent blower, especially for decks, garage, walkways and smaller outdoor spaces. My wife likes it because of its power to weight ratio, which is easy to hold. I’ve tried the vacuum function a few times and it works really well for leaves, though it creates a lot of dust and associated twigs tend to plug it up. This unit doesn’t move enough air for blowing really large surfaces. I have a Greenworks 60V backpack blower for larger surface areas of our property.JHG333

as previously noted, motor is powerful and picks up wet leaves easily; but the vacuum is not designed for more than very casual use. It takes 4-5 full bags to fill a normal paper leaf bag, to the point of gathering leaves for 3 minutes, empty the bag for five minutes. Although there is a clip at the front, it does not stay clipped. Attaching the bag to the device is difficult, and not as easy as one would hope when you have to empty it so often. When the bag is unzipped you have to pull all the leaves by hand. Suggestion: include a much bigger accessory bag, or a feature to empty right into a waste bag.
We live in Albuquerque, NM. Landscaping here is typical for the southwest but very different than the rest of the country. We are only allowed a small patch of grass, desert plants and the rest is landscape gravel. Leaves and other debris settle into the gravel along with the dirt that blows in. I bought this unit to vacuum out all the debris that has accumulated in the gravel. I had to dig the end of the tube into the gravel to loosen the debris, which worked. What I hadn't anticipated was how much dirt would get sucked in as well (this vacuum really sucks!). I had to work about a 6' square area at a time then empty the bag. All the dirt destroyed the zipper the first day. I wasn't surprised or upset because the zipper was too small for handling this amount of dirt and this unit wasn't built for this application. I got around the zipper by folding that side of the bag over twice and using 5 spring clamps to hold it closed. All-in-all I have been impressed with this unit especially considering it was built to suck leaves off a lawn and not sucking dirt and heavy amounts of dead twigs out of gravel. If I was sucking leaves and twigs off of a lawn, I would give it 5 stars.TBAIII

With dual battery packs, this thing packs a punch. I picked it up specifically for mulching, as I already had a leaf blower but it performs superbly there. The assembly was straight forward, and batteries were charged ready to go out of the box. I appreciate the wheels at the end of the vacuum/ blower to rest it on the ground while sucking up and mulching leaves -great idea! This cordless leaf blower and vacuum is OK. The blower is not very powerful when I compare it to lesser voltage units I've used. That second battery also adds weight so as a cordless blower it's just ok. It's pretty nifty as a vacuum. The wheels on the front allow you to roll it around as you vacuum and it does a decent job of chopping up the leaves. I've only done a little testing so far but it seems to work well. I'll really test it this spring when my Live Oaks start dropping their leaves.Gasboy1
It's not bad for what it is but there's no chance of getting 2 hours of work time. I got 2 bags full and it quit. I accept that it's battery-powered and not even close to the power of the Sun Joe electric one I also have. I only bought this because it was cheap and I wanted spare batteries for my Sun Joe chainsaw. The biggest problem is with the handle design. The front handle is fine but the rear one is very awkward. The weight balance is terrible. The batteries are behind the handle and you'll probably end up doing what I do, holding the unit under the batteries. If you're looking for quick light cleanup, then this should be fine for you but don't expect to be using it all day, and definitely don't pay full price. It isn't worth it.Mike

I bought this 2.5 years ago. Ran extremely well for the first 18 months or so. Then didn't like to run a full speed. Replaced fuel filter, air filter and spark plug. Ran better but still had issues. I Only use 90 octane no-ethanol gas with Husqvarna oil. Removed muffler screen and event he muffler to see if it was exhaust based. No avail. Then it started to run better after i put it back together. A few months later same issue. Replaced fuel lines primer bulb and carb. No good starts but won't run at high speed. Adjusted the carb never buy another. I had stihl products for many years but never had problems this soon in products lifeTonyC396
I bought the Husqvarna blower about five months ago directly from the brand site. Even though I live in the desert, we have some serious debris and brush that I am convinced has a personal vendetta against me. Husqvarna has been my favorite part of my summer. Husqvarna 125BVX blowers are light weight so carrying them is a pinch. It is extremely easy to use, turn on or off, and store. It is extremely strong to get you through any job no matter how large or how small. Now let's talk bells and whistles! Husqvarna 125BVX has the capacity to blow up to 175 mph and has a 425 CFM air volume. It will literally blow you away! It is 16:1 mulching capable, too! It mulches people! You do have to use the vac function and mulching knives but at Husqvarna's prices, it is inexpensive to make your blower amazing. The blower has smart stop which makes it start easier and faster as well! The stop switch automatically turns to on to maximize how quickly and efficiently it starts the next time. This blower even has cruise control! Variable speed throttle can be set for maximum ease when you handle it! This Husqvarna 125BVX blower is worth every penny. I purchased this product solely for the vacuum component and have been very disappointed in its design. The bagger does not come off without having a tool on hand, forcing me to keep the bagger attached to the blower while emptying the bag. Also, when operating as a vacuum, the exhaust shoots into my face. After a less than an hour of use, the fumes get overwhelming. Once the bagger and vacuum hose has been attached, the blower no longer sits on the ground in a level manner that would allow easy fueling and pressing down on the blower while starting since the plastic bagging attachment extends past the lower end of the unit. The blower can be turned sideways to alleviate part of the offset problem, but then it is sitting on the gas tank sideways which makes me uncomfortable even though it does not leak. I have used it twice at this point for about three hours each usage and plan to only use it for blowing from now on. The vacuum portion was a waste of money since it seems to be poorly designed. On the positive side, the blower starts and runs great. The blower has plenty of power for a hand held and mulches quite nicely.David100

My yard is 7k square feet give or take; and each time i used the vacuum, my hours to complete was 5hrs 1st time, 4hrs 2nd time, after more leaves came down in the backyard. The use of this machine is tedious. The small bag tore first use, as the stitching in my opinion required thicker thread and NOT regular clothing thread. Good news, it's warrantied 2 yrs by snowjoe. Other issue, 2nd 4hr use, the big bag connection at top of bag was blowing dust from suction. Given the lengthy project time, I had to take breaks. Suction is just ok. Only good things I found the color, 2yr warranty, and I didn't have to bend down to pick up.OnlineShop531
I purchased this unit 4 months ago and used it as a blower and vacuum/mulcher. As a blower it is not exceptional, in fact it is no more more powerful than my other cheap electric blower with lower amperage. However the vacumm/mulcher function turned out to be a big help in collecting the leaves and other debris. I would highly suggest buying the aluminum impeller version (which is this one) over the plastic one as small pebbles and twigs are sucked-in while vacuuming and they will eventually damage the plastic prop. I had no problems with the bag so far and the stiches are holding-up, but i take care of it and don't fill it up to the brim. One complaint i had so far is with the cover of the impeller housing. It snaps closed when using the tool as a blower, and a small post on the cover pushes a mini-switch to close the circuit so that the power slider starts the blower when slid into the ON position. I don't know why, but after 4 months of usage that post no longer pushes the switch button far enough to activate the switch and the power ON/OFF slider no longer turns the unit ON. Maybe because the whole body, including the prop cover, is made of plastic, over the time some slight deformation of the plastic molding – due to – heat/sun or some other reason – has caused this. I did fix this problem by installing a small screw right into the post (has a hole in the middle so no need to drill), so that the screw head fills the gap in and the switch button is pushed enough to activate the switch. The screw can also be used for fine adjustment should it ever be needed in the future. Maybe SunJoe should incorporate this into the product. Such a minor trouble should not need a warranty return and this would be good for SunJoe and for the customer alike.RayNA
This leaf blower/vac replaces my 8 year old Craftsman blower/vac and must say that this model has left a very positive impression. The unit itself is a bit heavier than the old one but that's not at a significant matter. What I was extremely pleased to discover is that it uses a metal impeller to shred vacuumed objects rather than the Craftsman all-plastic one. This unit is also quieter than the Craftsman. This product offers great value – especially the gutter cleaning tubes. I'm happy that I don't have to climb the roof anymore to handle that task as the feature worked very well, thanks to its strong blowing capabilities. The Craftsman only has two speed settings (low and high); this one offers 6 and at first I wasn't too certain of the benefit but after having used it over the past few days have come to greatly appreciate it. One of the nicer features of this unit is putting the unit in vacuum mode. Installing the suction tube is a little cumbersome but it was a total nuisance with the Craftsman to accomplish. However, with the Sun Joe, I particularly liked how its leaf collector bag connects to the unit and vacuum tube – SO much easier on my back! (The Craftsman requires you to sling the bag strap over your shoulder which is okay at first but quickly grows tiring as the bag gets heavier – plus it puts you at an odd angle which can tire one's back as well.) With this unit, combined with the very handy wheels at the base of the vacuum tube, I can use this unit as if it was a household vacuum cleaner – very comfortable and convenient. OH – I forgot to mention that I was extremely pleased to learn that they give you two leaf collecting bags – one of them is for slinging over your shoulder but it's not very large so there'll be more emptying but might offset the additional weight. I've owned the Sun Joe SDJ616 for around 4 years now. It does a good job of shredding the leaves. It does not clog given the design as gravity feeds it. Here's what I don't like.. I feed it with a snow shovel. It can't handle anything more that a few handful of leaves without someone standing over top pushing them down. In fact, forget about this being a one man operation unless you have some small in the city postage stamp yard. My son feeds me the leaves and I push them down. They should offer the hopper in a bigger size with a wider opening to allow a larger volume to flow through.Drone Commander
I like the shredder, however, I have found a design flaw. The manual says to clean the external foam filter regularly to maintain operation. What the manual does not tell you is that there are two internal foam filters that must also be cleaned. However, to get to these internal filters you must void the warranty because you must remove the motor cover. To maintain this unit, turn the unit over and remove the 5 screws holding the motor housing in place. Once the housing is removed the two internal foam filters are accessible. I do this after about every 15 minutes of use. If you don't clean these internal filters it is not a case of IF the shredder will fail but WHEN it will fail. DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB ON LEAVES. NOT SO GOOD ON PINE STRAW. MY YARD IS MIXED LEAVES AND STRAW. A LARGE HANDFUL WITH LOTS OF STRAW HAS TO BE PUSHED IN, TENDS TO PACK AROUND THE EDGES IF FED TOO FAST. STRING WEARS FAST IF ANY STICKS GO THROUGH. I RAKED A PILE AND PLACED UNIT NEXT TO IT. LOTS OF BENDING CAUSED NEXT DAY BACK PAIN. IF ONLY LEAVES, 5-STAR FOR THE PRICE.
