Okay so I read the reviews and got nervous, but I’m here to be honest with you. A lot of the buyers expected this to be a Dyson and if you’re expecting that then no this isn’t for you. I got this vacuum because ours broke 3 days before Christmas and I wanted something cheap to hold us over in between paychecks as we are having people over. We have a house with all hardwood and linoleum floors, a messy two year old, a big hairy dog, and a hard working man who constantly forgets to take his boots off at the door. Could this be our main vacuum? Heck no! It cleans small visible messes and wasn’t very great for dog hair or fabric surfaces but it was good for the kitchen crumbs and chunks of dirt from his boots. So here we go Pros: – small lightweight – cleans small visible messes – inexpensive – not very durable so don’t be rough Cons: – not great for dog hair or Christmas tree needles – cord isn’t very long – no where to put extra pieces – not great on carpet So let’s recap. This is NOT the vacuum you want the cleaning person to show up with to do a deep clean. This is the swiffer of vacuums, it’s meant to be that in between cleaner and can’t get all things. I like this stick vacuum, it's definitely bare bones, but it does a better than good job picking up dirt and dust. I only use it on hardwood floors, so cannot speak to the job it would do on carpet or rugs. I take 2 stars off because the connection of the canister that collects the dirt/dust does not properly seat into the motor section, so at times will spontaneously disconnect. There's a button that should pop out and secure it, but mine only pops out halfway. Also, the stick connection is tight and difficult to maneuver, so I usually just leave it in, making it awkward to disengage and empty the canister. Same with the floor attachment. If it were even slightly better made, I would recommend it more highly, of course it is inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.BB&B Customer

We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

I received the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum to review in my home. I have 3 kids and two dogs so we are always vacuuming. My memories of Dirt Devil were the rechargeable handheld from the 80/90's that my parents used to have. So for me it was a pleasant surprise to see what they are now. The vacuum was easy to put together and the handle and power head are easy to remove. Everyone in my family used the vacuum for one thing or another and it was nice not to have to worry about the battery running low. The corded feature is nice in a small vacuum. Always having the same consistent suction power is definitely a positive. The main vacuum that we have in our house is a Dyson. While it does a great job at vacuuming, it's clunky and hard to maneuver when I need to vacuum tight spots like the car or furniture. While the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum doesn't have the same vacuuming power as a Dyson I thought it would still be great to use on areas like the Furniture and my Car and I was right!We tried to use it on our fluffy rugs and it did not fare very well but on tightly woven surfaces it did well. It's a lightweight vacuum so my 4 1/2 year old was excited to get to use it. Where we ended up using it the most was on the furniture. Since the long stick is removable it made it easier to use on the cushions and since it has an actual power head it really did remove all the debris off my couch. I couldn't imagine using my Dyson that way. Even with the attachment that Dyson has for furniture it doesn't clean as well as the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum did. A couch without dog hair was awesome! It was also great to vacuum the floors of my SUV as well and not just use the hose on my Dyson. The floor mats actually looked fully clean in my car. Half of my house is also hardwood, so we are constantly sweeping and use the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum to also pick up the piles we swept up. The removable power head made it easy to turn this into a quicker picker upper for us. The output motor is strong and if you are not careful you will blow your collection pile all over. We learned that the hard way. It was very easy to empty the collection bin but I noticed that most of what was picked up would stick to the filter, needing to be removed by hand if it did not shake free. Overall for the price and size, it performed as I would expect. It's hard to compare it to my Dyson because the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum is not the same caliber of vacuum. As I said for my family it worked great to keep the couch clean and the inside of the car picked up. Any on the go parent would enjoy having this when it came time to clean out the minivan. With regards to losing two stars, as I said in my review, the output motor has a powerful blower but that doesn't equate to suction power. You will blow debris around if you aren't careful with what direction you point it in. I also was not pleased with having to touch the debris that would stick to the filter when I would try and empty it. I received the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum as a free sample from a sampling company for my honest opinion. I have 4 children and 2 dogs. This is NOT the vacuum for us or for anyone who needs a quality vacuum. This IS a vacuum for someone who lives in small quarters and just needs to do a quick vacuum. I have 3 other vacuums and this Dirt Devil is the last I reach for when a mess needs to be cleaned up. On the other hand, this vacuum is fantastic for my children to use. The handle is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and I do not think it will withstand 4 kids. I expect that to fall apart first. The part of the vacuum that I do LOVE is the fact that the bottom part of the vacuum (where the roller brush is) can stay connected to the dustbuster and my kids use this vacuum to vacuum the stairs (picture included below)! I have a different hand vac that is used for the stairs but it is too heavy for my children to use, so this dirt devil will now be used instead. I do like that the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 Corded Bagless Stick Vacuum does have a cord. I do not have to worry about running out of battery or of decreased suction power (which often happens with cordless vacuums). The "button" that you press to release the roller brush part from the dust buster is poorly made and hard to utilize. This design makes it hard to release the roller brush from the dust buster. In review, this vacuum is not a perfect fit for MY large family. I DO like that it is light weight and my kids can use it to vacuum the stairs. I received this vacuum about a week ago as a sample to give an honest review. First, let me say that I have multiple vacuums that are multiple different styles that I am comparing this one against. The Dirt Devil Vibe 3 in 1 is VERY light weight and quite small. It was very easy to put together, minus attaching the brush head. Attaching the brush head takes a bit more strength than I would expect and it took me a while to get the connection. My 8 year old daughter was able to put the rest of the vacuum together on her own. When she saw the size of it, she was very excited because she thought it was for her! When the brush head is attached, you can select whether you want to turn the roller brush on or turn it off. It is part of the vacuums power switch. While I think this vacuum would be great for someone with a bad back because it is so light, the power switch is very low…most people would need to bend down to turn it on. It worked fine on low pile area rugs, but I'm not sure how much it would do on regular carpet. While vacuuming on hard wood floors, it was SO light weight that it kind of slid all over the place. This vacuum is essentially a dust buster with a power cord, stick and roller brush attachment. It is meant for smaller spaces. Because it has a power cord, it does have and keep decent suction. It can be used with or without the roller brush and with or without the stick. It is very easy to empty and it also comes with a little attachment to get into corners/creases while using it as a dust buster. For me, I'd prefer to just grab me cordless hand vacuum for quick clean up or smaller areas rather then pull this vacuum out and plug it in. I think the cordless that I have has more strength and suction. I guess my final thought is that it would be good for small spaces and someone who requires a lighter style vacuum. I love every Shark product I've owned or gifted to someone else so had high expectations for this stick vac. I have been searching for a good robot vacuum for quite a long time since I'm unable to manage heavy vacuuming any more but none of the independent review articles give high marks to a robot that fits my needs so I turned to light stick vacs for a solution. I love this product. It meets my high expectations for a Shark and with daily 10 minute use on high traffic areas I can keep up with shedding from my medium haired cat in the carpet. The cord is long enough to cover the area and at my age, a cord doesn't bother me at all. The unit and accessories are stored in a closet without an outlet so a cordless vac isn't practical for me. If I have any criticism it's the size of the canister. One does have to take into account the reason I made this purchase, a super lightweight vac to clean cat hair from my carpet, and it makes perfect sense. I simply attach a small trash bag to carry with me in case I need to empty the canister.Shelley

Easy to carry, lightweight. I really do love this vaccum. It has pulled up a lot of dirt and hair from the carpets my rainbow couldn't pick up. I mainly have hard wood floors throughout my house now, with 1 carpeted area and a couple rugs. It's been very handy and picks up a lot. Cons: It lost suction after a year because the tube in the main basehead had cracked with normal use. Customer service could only offer to sell me the main basehead for over 75% of what I paid for the vacuum. This particular part, the tube; is not listed on Shark's website as a "wearable part" nor available. So I wonder why it is not covered by the 5 year limited warrenty? This is the main complaint I have read about that has happend to many others who also purchased the Shark Rocket. I had to do some searching for a tube replacement and we finally found one, then replaced it ourselves. If you do buy this vaccum, I would reccomend paying for extra coverage from the store purchase at as the 5 year limited warrenty is usless for this particular part and issue.Asp84

My husband bought this Shark Rocket for me in hopes of replacing my Dyson Animal with something lighter for quick, daily vacuuming, but it’s not up to the task. First of all, though the Rocket isn’t as big or as heavy as my old vacuum, all of its weight is at the top; the dust bin and motor are connected to the hand-hold, which means my wrist and hand have to support the bulk of its weight. Because the weight isn’t distributed, the small brush is unwieldy – too light to easily control regardless of how much pressure I attempt to push it with. I’m not a weakling, lol, but my arm gets tired FAST. Secondly, there is no way to turn off the roller brush and use just suction on hard surfaces. I have to move really slowly in sweeping the hardwoods, or else the Shark spits crumbs and other debris out the back. Moving slowly = holding the heavy motor/dust bin/handle for longer = even more tired hand/wrist/shoulder. Speaking of the roller brush, it clogs with dog hair and stops rolling after ONE pass over the 5×7 area rug in our seating area; I have to turn off the vacuum and cut the hair from the brush at least four times just in sweeping the one rug (we have two dogs, but I sweep every day, so I’m not asking it to vacuum a week’s worth of hair at once). It’s VERY frustrating. More negatives about this Shark Rocket: 1. It doesn’t stand on its own. If I need to stop sweeping in the middle of the job for any reason, I have to lay the vacuum on the floor, or prop it up against a piece of furniture. I still haven’t figured out how to store it. 2. The cord is also attached to the handle, and gets in the way of dumping the dust bin. 3. The attachments are difficult to use because they attach to the motor/dust bin/handle piece either directly or via a 12” hose, meaning I have to continue to hold the heaviest part of the vacuum while trying to manipulate the tools. 4. Though the brush part of the vacuum is small enough to adequately sweep the carpeted steps, I have to either lift the whole thing up, turn it backwards, and dangle the brush in front of the risers, or fight with the inconvenient and unwieldy attachments to get those areas. I’d say it takes twice as long for me to sweep using this than it does the old, clunky Dyson – definitely not making my life easier. I actually hate this vacuum, and would have returned it after the first use had my husband not thrown out the box it came on. Two hundred bucks for this useless thing.OhioMichelle

We've got a couple large area rugs on otherwise all terrazzo floors. Recently adopted a short double coated Aussie Shepherd Beagle mix that has now begun shedding. This vacuum works great for our situation, the smaller head being easy to maneuver around and under tables and recliners. Intermittent use up to 30min for the rugs does cause the vacuum head to get pretty hot, not where you hold it, but to the exhaust side. Being corded delivers plenty of suction power without the added battery weight of a similarly capable cordless vac. I agree with others that upright storage could have been better executed. I'd suggest Shark include some kind of wall mount to hang it up when not in use. Overall happy with the product, although the price point around $200 on sale with coupon still seems a bit high in my opinion.Kent

1 person, 1 cat household. The vacuum has good suction BUT the cat hair gets stuck around a small metal peice and doesn't make it to the bin. If you have more than 1 pet – this is NOT the best unit. 1 room = empyting the bin and removing the hair from around the metal piece. It also cannot stand alone which is highly annoying. I don't want to take the motor off and attach it to the stick so that it will be self standing. DUMB design. It gets HOTTER than a Texas summer day very quickly. You cannot find the accessories listed in the maintaince booklet online. I guess they don't exist. You can find replacement filers. This is more of an electric broom than a vacuum cleaner. It does a great job getting under furniture and cleans well on both carpet and bare floor. I have 2 dogs so I was trying to get to hard to reach areas. It does that well with the attachments included but I wish it had a brush. However, it’s made for small areas because it needs to be emptied often (easily) because it’s quite small. It also overheated after about 30 minutes of what I guess was too much work for it. Waiting an hour to turn it back on is a bummer. It’s a bit awkward to use as the handheld part at the top is heavy. As a result it won’t stand up on it’s own. You have to lay it down. It has it’s uses but doesn’t replace my old Shark. It’s much smaller and not much lighter.Mary

Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum if you want clean floors with little effort AND multiple attachments that can simplify and clean the most hard to reach places and other areas.liljayp

The Bissell 2030 is great for my needs – as a second vacuum for quick cleanups. It's easier and quicker to get out than my full sized vacuum. To answer a couple questions I had that didn't seem covered elsewhere: – The removable floor nozzle seems well designed. I've uploaded a picture of the bottom of it. It's about 9" across, has 2 small wheels in the front and 2 larger wheels in the back; and also has a rubber scraper of sorts behind the nozzle opening to help collect stuff. The opening is small enough to maintain the suction. – The noise is reasonable. It's not silent by any means, but doesn't sound like a jet taking off like another small vacuum I had. This really is tiny. The main section is just under 4" wide. The handle is long enough, though. I don't think it cleans the carpet dust as deeply as a full-sized vacuum, because it has less suction. But it's great to quickly pull out for a quick clean up.Townie

To start it's a very quick and simple assembly. The collection cup (which is small) and vacuum unit disassemble for a handheld unit after the floor nozzle and stick are removed. It has a little filter inside the collection chamber that demanded constant emptying and it needed the dust tapped off way too often for me. The unit makes a droning sound that changes to a higher pitch when it can no longer pick up debris. I bought it for use in a little room, but the sound was too painful to bear for long. I vacuumed a room by the hardest because much of the time was spent emptying it over a trash can. It may be okay for vacuuming up toast crumbs or some other small amounts, but I'm disappointed overall –probably because of expectations. From the unboxing I felt like it was for use by an older child because of the diminutive size, and the limit of collection volume is depressingly small. It can and does pick up the but of fur left when a cat departs a chair. However, this stick cannot accommodate "real world scenarios" like vacuuming a room every other day in my experience. Totally inadequate for me. My impression is it's some rinky dink, less than impressive unit. Still, I was glad to use it when a glass pot lid shattered on the stove.Allyson

I like this because it is very lightweight (I have a broken shoulder) and easy to maneuver in tight places. The handle can remain attached on/for the hand held vacuum head and it gets into corners without having to get on your hands and knees to clean those tight places. It can be used on furniture, floors, walls, carpets, tile and hardwood. Just remember to empty each time you use and clean and 'defuzz' the filter to help it last longer. Suggest ordering extra filters at the same time you purchase this vacuum, as the effectiveness is dependent upon a clean filter. It works as described. This does not take the place of a big upright (big suction) vacuum for carpeting. It does help with a daily quick clean up of crumbs and debris tracked in from outside.lakeviewlady

I am in shock I have been using a Dyson vacuum for years and after 1 minute of using the shark vacuum I was won over. The suction is out of this world after 1 minute my vacuum was full I had to empty it 5 different times on a carpet that “appeared clean” when using my Dyson. I am completely amazed at how much dust and hair it brought up from my carpet. I would absolutely buy the same vacuum again and again! I love how it glides forward for you, you can disconnect the different parts of the vacuum to put on the different attachments, I love how easy it is to empty also. Before I say I dislike this vacuum, I want to say I love the Shark brand… This particular model though is not my favorite. Which sucks (or doesn't depending how you look at it) cause I was so excited for a new stick vacuum. I bought my first and only other shark vacuum about 8 years ago and that little sucker is amazing and still works. However it is time for an upgrade. This vacuum is more for hard floors and NOT carpet. I bought the first vacuum on clearance and on a whim, and had never heard of shark before but now thats the only brand I will buy. They are amazing just make sure you read into what they are intended for. I will be returning this one only to buy a different version more suited to my needs. If you have hard floors and want a light weight portable dual use, handheld vacuum this is the one for you! Now I'm wishing I didn‘t have so much carpet in my house. I love the thought of it. Have used this vacuum about 4 times now. Love the lightness. I have two shark vacuums that I love. Getting older though and lifting and pushing the vacuums is not something I enjoy. This shark is so light and has a 25ft cord. Yes, you do have to empty the canister more often than a regular vacuum but it is worth it to me. Great suction power and the swivel head is very helpful. We have a dog that sheds a lot so looking forward to vacuuming now and it picks up dog hair easily. Does not stand on its own but that is ok too. I purchased this product 8 months ago. It worked great initially. Now the hose connecting the stick to the floor cleaner has cracked and has gotten holes in it. I cannot clean my carpets with it anymore. I’ve contacted the company and am awaiting a response on a solution.Beth

I LOVE this vacuum!!! So easy to use and take apart and clean. The suction is GREAT!! I have 2 cats and 1 dog and this vacuum works wonders!! I especially love the long cord so I only have to move the cord 2 times to get through the house. Also, it is very easy to undo the head piece from the stick part to get to small places. I would recommend this vacuum to everyone who has used other similar stick vacuums. This one is THE best!!! And the price is awesome too!!MARCIA

I really like my Bissell rug cleaner but this CleanView Pet Slim Corded Vacuum, not so much. Don't like the way it doesn't stand up on it's own. The button to release the dirt cup is in an awkward spot. Don't like the dust cup because if you handle it the wrong way, the dirt falls out of a hole (which is where the dirt enters in the first place). The "head" is floppy. It doesn't stay up (like a Shark) where you have to push down on it. There is really no place to grab and carry it comfortably, especially for a short person (which I am). I am on the lookout for a new stick vacuum. I should have sent this one back but it's too late now.Nancy

We have dogs and cats with bare floors so hair is a big issue in our home. I purchased this vac as a replacement for cordless vacs that I am constantly having to buy. They quickly lose their suction and battery power so this time i went with a corded vac. I own a kirby, I love it for my deep down cleaning but is so cumbersome for my daily (yes daily) vac of my home. The cord is long enough that i only need to use 2 outlets to vac 4 bdrms 2 baths kitchen and 2 living areas. Plenty long enough! Love the cord length! Suction is great. The edge pulls debri (I mean dirt, dust and lottsa hair) from the edges of my baseboards and from under furniture edges. This vac has 2 settings 1-suction only, 2-suction with brush roll. I first assumed being that I have bare floors, that i can vac w/ just the suction. However when it was powered on I had lifted the vac head then switched to brush roll while it was in mid air, POOF, all sorts of hair went flying everywhere. Apparently static caused hair to stick to the "undercarriage" of the vac head. I now vac my bare floors w/ brush roll going. The vac head sits quite close to the floor so when I vac my exterior door mats and rugs some get sucked/sealed to vac head making it difficult to vac. Perhaps maybe wheel adjustment to keep this from happening. I now just broom those that i cant vac. Pitty. The tube does not extend or get shorter. Its kind of a hassle when im trying to vac in tighter spaces. Another thing that I love about this vac is the it lays completely flat completely parallel to the floor w/o the vac head lifting up like most vacs do. So the reach under furniture like beds, desks and tables goes as far as up to the dirt canister. Another issue, when i must remove the vac head to use tube only, the hook to where the cord gets wrapped around gets in the way of me wanting to reach tight places. Why cant cords get wrapped at the top portion of vac not all the way down its shaft. Canister is larger, big plus!sylvia

We ordered this particular model on Amazon via The Bissell Store (still as of 2022) after seeing the owner's commitment to helping local animal shelters. Only after contacting customer service did we find out this is actually a discontinued model with many problems.
The roller bar itself started burning after 11 uses or 3 months so we returned it to Bissell. The replacement lasted only a month before it too started to smoke & leave marks on the roller bar.
We only use this on our hardwood floors, and three large wool area rugs yet this is the worst vacuum we've ever owned.
Now returning for a second time. We have been told, that "the latest" version or Model 28311 does not have the same problems.
This has been such a disappointment, especially when you're purchasing via the Bissell store directly and there is no mention that you are purchasing an older, discontinued model.
Many other reviews state the same problems as well as the wheels squeak when you move the vacuum.Robert Thoreson jr.

Very powerful, light and maneuverable, the brush is driven by a separate motor, seams like a great design, but the brush allows hair to get right into the Barrings!!! I removed and cleaned the brush after 2nd use, found that some pet and human hair had gotten into the Barring, melted the barring cap and housing. the third use the brush stopped before i was done as it was bound up. I only used it for the upstairs of my house. I'll call support to try to get another brush, but how long will the last? after years of well designed brushes, WHAT Happened? were they lasting too long?DAVID

My little dog sheds an unbelievable amount of fur. I use this throughout my home. The best things about this product are: 1) strong motor; 2) it's lightweight; 3) the attachment hose is long enough that the vacuum doesn't collapse when in use; 3) disassembling the unit to clean is very easy, assembling is also very easy. I bought a well-advertised competitive pet vacuum during the pandemic shutdown. It caused me nothing but grief. I don't have the strong hands of a 20-year old any longer, so I dreaded having to clean the canister. There were times I broke into tears of frustration because I just didn't have the strength to move the parts in the same directions. (I put that product up on the neighborhood website "for sale" section, reducing my purchase price by 2/3. Still no takers.) I need a clean house. Top heavy, does not stand on own but must be leaned onto something to stay upright. And when you finish using on floor or up on wall/ceiling, TONS of debris falls out the bottom of the unit. I have to go get my perfectly wonderful Miele to clean up the mess this thing makes. Keeping the area in the head clean is the key to avoid this, but have to do it so often (every use) it makes cleaning up a bigger chore overall. I bought this to avoid bringing the larger Miele upstairs to use weekly for a couple rooms and thought using as a wand up in the air would be useful as I no longer feel secure standing on a chair/stool to reach upper areas. While it works to pick up dust and dirt ok, it will not pick up paperclips, small wood pellets, scraps of paper or even small amount of shredded paper after emptying the shredder into the trash. And if it manages to pick this up, it will require you to stop and clean out the head piece (remove rollers) before moving on or it will 'spit it out' again when you turn it off. Then you can pick it all up with your hands along with the other debris and dirt or go get a real vacuum and clean it up right. I will never buy a shark again.Miele is best

We have had this about 6 months Initially it was great but slowly it has lost suction and now needs replacing as it’s just not up to the job. Filter box hard to clean Most annoying thing is going from say the floorboards to the carpet or vice versa. The head leaves a collection of dust on the edge of the 2 surfaces Slowly your mats build up a line of dirt around the edges which becomes compacted. The rotating head that was initially great is also difficult to clean and the fine teeth become totally clogged and useless. It takes as long to clean this thing as it does to vacuum the floor. If it was stolen would I buy another ? NO, I normally use the old vacuum in the shed but this one’s going in the wheels binGeorge 27

It's suction power lifts years of dirt embedded in the carpets of my new rental. The head swivels with ease and allows you to reach hard to get to places, excellent for corners. The right side of the head has an edge cleaner that you can run really close to the walls. Lightweight and easy and to use, the dirt canister is easy to empty and every part of the appliance clicks into place. I have 2 messy kids and 2 giant dogs that shed extremely bad, so finding a good vacuum is extremely important to keeping my home tidy. Shark is my go-to brand and I already have a vacuum I use from them. I was hoping to find a light weight vacuum that was easier to carry up and down the stairs, as well as travel back and forth to use at my cabin. This Shark Rocket stick vac meets many of the needs I was looking for. It is super light and easy to carry. The roller pivots and manuevers so smoothly easily around furniture, and it also works really well with getting under couches and tables. Another positive is that the noise level on this vacuum is much quieter. I also really like that the controls are right on the handle and the words regarding the power levels are reversed to face the person cleaning. As far as storage goes, this vacuum will not stand upright for storage, and either needs propped up on something or the handle will need removed and placed on the storage hook on the base. This is not a negative for me, because it makes it easier for me to store in a cabinet or closet. A con for me is that it is definitely not as powerful as my current vacuum and the canister is much smaller. I did a quick clean up around my living room only and the canister was already full and needed emptied before I could continue. The power and suction worked the best for me on area rugs and runners but was still quite effective on low pile carpeting. I already recommended this vacuum to my mother, who is getting up there in age, due to how light weight it is and easy to maneuver around. It's definitely worth giving a try and I would recommend it.Emily W

The Shark Rocket Pro DLX Corded Stick Vac Is going to be your go to vac for all your cleaning needs. Coming out of the box it was very easy to put together . The pieces just snap and lock in together in less than a minute. Because it is a stick vac it was very easy to move around than a heavy upright. I started first on my oriental rug in my living room. Once i got the suction level set it did a great job of picking up particles and even unseen deep dirt. It maneuvered around coffee tables easily because it has a swivel head. L.E.D. lights on the power brush base help light the way. There is even one on the top part for when you are doing stairs and other jobs without the base.I went from the carpet straight to the hardwood floor and then to the ceramic tile in the kitchen without having to stop. Just a quick change on the suction lever and it was a go. It made the transition to different flooring types easy and did a great job. I then tried the stairs. the head easily pops off with the push of a button . Then I tried the tools that were included on the stairs. It also did a great job there. Then I put the wand back on it and tried it on getting some of the dust up high in the corners of the ceiling.Disconnecting the top and the wand from the power roller is easy. All you have to do is step on a button on the base and it comes right out and when you're done it snaps right back in . Very easy , quick and convenient . It cleaned any dust bunnies up high easily. Emptying the dirt is easy, just a click of a button opens the contents and dumps into the trash. Storing it is great because the head comes off and locks into the base so it actually doesn't take up that much space or you can use the hook and hang it up. There were two minor things that I didn't care for. One was I thought it was a little loud and secondly since there is no place to store the tools they should at least include a small mesh bag or some type of container to store them all in so they don't get misplaced. In conclusion I found that this vacuum was very versatile , east to use , and did a great job on every task that I put it through and I highly recommend it to anyone.BOBMERCU

This Shark vacuum is wonderful in cleaning my home. The swivel head is so perfect for getting under places so I don't have to move anything for general cleaning needs. I love the lights in the front so that I don't have to turn on lights in bathrooms or closets just to vacuum. I especially like how the switch is on the top where I don't have to bend down to switch between carpets and bare floor. I also am happy about the main part becoming a separate hand held vacuum so I can clean my car easier with the attachments too. The head is smaller than my regular upright and makes it easier to vacuum behind toilets and small places. I chose the one with the electric cord as I can clean my whole apartment without concern about battery usage. Love this vacuumclean floors

I was a little skeptical about this product, but it completely blew my mind. Not only is it very lightweight (which may be a pro or con for some), but the suction on the vacuum is great. I have hard wooden floors, so regardless of how often I clean there's always dust or hair the next day. The vacuum worked so great to get every little piece. This is the perfect little vacuum and is a great value given the price. It picks up pet hair quickly and with ease. I really wish it were cordless, but you can't beat the price on this! I appreciate how the sound isn't excessively loud and I was able to just use it right out of the box. One thing I would like to note is that the filter is a little tricky and there are no small brushes that come with it. Again, given the affordable price of this vacuum cleaner, I think this is fair. Overall, I would recommend this vacuum to someone who isn't looking to spend too much on a vacuum cleaner but doesn't want to compromise quality!Sam

I love this vacuum so much I want to marry it! I am owned by 3 furkids, 2 of which have long, silky fur and the third who sheds constantly. This little, lightweight machine gets the fur from the floors and carpets! It works much better than my fabulously expensive monster that rhymes with "Tyson". It's easy to maneuver and store. The cord is just the right length for my house and it's easy to empty the dust cup and reattach it. Great product, as are all the Bissells I have! Five stars!Ahmijoy

Got this because my wife loves purple. No greater reason to buy a vacuum cleaner than the color. It works great on non-carpeted floors but is impossible to move on carpet. Good thing it's for a home without carpet. Everything works fine except the hose falls apart. You are vacuuming away and suddenly the head is on the floor and you are pushing an incomplete hose. I fixed that with a piece of masking tape around the top of the head piece. Shouldn't have to gerry rig a new vacuum in my opinion.No Body You Know!

I always used Bissell canisters for the easy conversion and parts sharing between machines(since we use them a lot). As Bissells age, the motors naturally get a bit less efficient, and that's expected. The Bissell Zing was a huge mistake. I had to duct tape all of the extension hose connections just to use it at all. Now I can't use it for small crevice jobs unless I rip it all off and retape constantly. It needs a click and lock function on the extension adaptors. It may not be as much of an issue as it ages and it can't lift a cotton ball, but new, it has suction that rips the plain plastic extensions that attach the heads, off onto the floor. I'm going to go with a more pricey manufacturer now. This Green thing is going in the garbage. I had a feeling the price was too good to be true. If you have a roll of duct tape and never plan on using the extensions and only use floor head, or never plan to use extensions and floor head, it will be fine for you and has great suction for that. If you need to ever use the floor features, it may be irritating and require taping. OH LOOK, MADE IN CHINA. Now everything makes sense.Brandy Lewis

I love the Bissell Zing. For the money it works very well. My only complaints are that it is all plastic. While it makes the vacuum light, its durability is questionable. Also the hose has no way of staying on to the floor tool. You push it on and hope for the best. I can see this being a problem in time and also a frustration. One other thing, the electric cord is very short. For the cost in todays world it is very good but you barley get what you pay for these days! My expectations aren't very high! I wish there was a company that would take pride in the fact that they give the consumer a well made product, at a fair cost, that would last longer then a year. I know, by doing this you wouldn't make huge profits but you would still make healthy profits and loyal customers! It would also help the environment with keeping waste at a minimum! Pros: The suction is decent on carpet. Cons: Suction isn’t great on vinyl flooring but is okay on carpets. After 3 short uses my hoover now makes an awful air horn sound constantly while I’m hoovering.. no idea why this has suddenly started happening, I emptied after each use and can’t find any obvious reason for it! Although cheap, I have bought hoovers for less that have worked much better. I only bought this to replace my old one until I could buy something a bit nicer.Bryonie

Having tried out several hoovers, all of which seemed to have disadvantages, I have at last found a trouble free model. Easy to assemble, light enough to carry upstairs, picks up well and when charged lasts a good time. Simple to clean and you can see the level of dust to remind you when to empty. Smooth gliding over carpets and a convenient handheld part. Attachments make a thorough job of cleaning hard to reach areas. I am old enough to remember lugging around heavy machines and tripping over flexes and coping with horrible dust bags. Now I have a smart convenient cleaner which makes hoovering not the usual hated chore but a pleasure!Rosiemac

Pros: It's okay don't get me wrong. I think with things like this, – certain brands that is, just pay for their top product, not the close copy – which in essence is what their cheaper versions are. Its cute! Cons: The suction was not as good, it did the work but you spent twice the time. I was excited but by the next week I found that I had sibconsciously gone back to my old hoover and only my son's room is carpeted! So I’ve had this vacuum over a year now and am pretty happy with it. Here’s why: 1. Works wonderfully on carpet and hardwood 2. Does NOT get tangled with hair 3. Is SUPER easy to empty (nothing has gotten stuck in the compartment for over a year) 4. The cord is really long and let’s me vacuum my whole (small) apartment For me, these are the most important things in a vacuum. Plus, it easily lies flat to get under basically any piece of furniture, which is super helpful, and it’s not too heavy. So, considering the price point, I think this is a great buy. Some downsides: 1. It doesn’t stand on its own; it has to lean against something, and that gets annoying 2. The attachments aren’t easy to get on and off; the process is simple, but you have to pull inordinately hard to remove, so that’s also annoying However, these two downsides don’t bother me that much, especially since the vacuum does other stuff so we’ll. If you’re looking in this price bracket, then I’d highly recommend!Danielle

absolutely hate it! For one its very top heavy so doesn't stand up on its own. They do give you an option to purchase the hang hook. The only good thing is without the floor piece it works great. But only comes with 2 extensions which are very short and can't use hand held within without the wand because the dust cup gets in the way. The price you pay is definitely not worth it. Especially since you have to buy the hang hook and any extenders separately off shark website. Bottom line buying a hand held vacuum does the same job without all the "extra" add on's.BS

This vacuum is the best lightweight one I have ever had. I was skeptical because of its size. I wasn't sure it would have the suction or maneuverability I wanted, but it's great. It is totally true that hair will not get wrapped up on the roller bar. The ability to get around and under furniture is just what I needed. You can lift off the handle for a long handled device or a short one to clean furniture or up high. Easy to empty dust cup is a bonus. If I had anything negative to say it would be that I wish it came with more tools.Janet

This vacuum is everything I wanted and more! It's lightweight which makes it easy to manuver. I can't say enough about the Zero M brush roll!! Phenomenal! I have 20 inch long hair with 3 cats and after 6 months of daily use I haven't had to cut a single hair from the roller! That in itself makes this unit worth every penny! The suction… Out of this world!!! It takes up very little space. You can purchase a clip for wall storage or store it on the attached clip on the wand. Cord is quite long so a lot can be accomplished before repositioning somewhere else. I love that it can go from floor to overhead in seconds, convert to a handvac, and back to floors in a flash! Two brush roll speeds let you move from hard floors and area rugs to higher pile carpet with the flip of a switch. The fact that this unit features washable filters is just icing on the cake! I love this vacuum and wouldn't trade it for any other vacuum! I am and will forever be a Shark owner!!C-Lowe
