These strips do not work at all! I did laser hair removal on my chin a few years ago but didn't know at the time that it doesn't work on light-colored hair. I thought I'd try these wax strips for the blonde hairs I have to pluck, yet after trying multiple strips I'm still plucking. The instructions say not to wash your face before use, so I followed this step and the only thing that came off with the wax strip was my makeup! I have sensitive skin with an allergy to fragrance but also have very stubborn hair on my upper lip. This product worked better than I had anticipated. The strips are straight which makes it difficult to cover your entire upper lip but what it does cover gets pulled out. No redness or rash after using. They include a cleaning oil to remove residue. That's a nice touch. Previously the only product that worked for my was Olay. That is no longer being produced so I have been on the hunt for a while now. Happy to have found this product.PickiVicki

This wax has a really unpleasant scent! It removes facial hair alright but definitely leaves quite a bit of hair behind which will take a lot of time plucking. I do have very sensitive skin and I'm allergic to some waxes. This one hasn't flared me out bad yet. So it's pretty good for sensitive skin. You do need to buy wooden spatulas to spread it obviously. Sometimes it takes out hair, sometimes it doesn't. I feel that you need to wait for it to be a bit longer, maybe about 3/4 weeks depending on how fast or slow your hair grows. And it does come with an oil which I don't really like. I prefer to use cold water and then aloe post waxing. It's alright but im sure there are better wax kits out there.elizabeth.a

I ordered the Microwaveable Warm Wax by Parissa and followed all the directions when using it. I tested it 24 hours ahead of time on my thigh and didn't really have any issue with it. But today I used it on my legs and it was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. First of all, it barley worked. It took off hair in patches and not all of it that I put wax on, so it pretty much looked the same as it did before i used the wax. Meaning I would've had to go over it twice, but I was too afraid it would rip my flesh off. Secondly, my skin is red. Not a pale pink color, but red. And this may be expected after waxing but this seems worse. There are little red dots all over my legs and bumps going down my legs. So now, my legs are still hairy, and now very red! This product did not work at all, I am in pain and I am afraid to leave my bedroom because of how horrible my legs look. I would attach a photo but I am too embarrassed about how my legs look. So, first of all, the smell of this entire product is AMAZING! It smells better than any other wax strips I've ever used and you truly can't miss the smell even upon first opening the box. It's very aesthetically pleasing and again the smell truly gets me excited to use this product. However, when it was time for application I ran into a few stumbles. I needed my brows done bad so that's where I tested it first and then tried taking off a few facial hairs as well. First of all, after applying the wax strips and pressing in the same direction as the hair growth I found that the actual wax itself on the strip would sort of ooze out when I would try to press down my hairs prior to removing the strip. Then, even after removing the strip in the opposite direction as hair growth, it left a considerable amount of wax product around the area it was used on. Now after cleaning up with the finishing wipe I did notice that the wipe itself was extremely oily and although I know it needs to have oil to take off the remaining wax on my skin, I did feel that it was a bit too oily for my liking and had to wipe off my hands constantly because they were so greasy. After completing the process a full time through I examined the hair that was on the strip that I just used and found it to be very underwhelming. Although my skin feels as if there was a lot of hair removed, the strip told a different story and barely had any hair that was picked up. So, I tried a few more times and finally started to see a difference when I waxed the under arch of my brows and went over the failed area to try again. This time I took scissors and cut long ways and in half so I could manipulate it so that I felt comfortable putting the strip on more critical areas of my brows. I found this worked considerably better and was quite pleased with the results afterward. All in all, glee face wax strips biggest achievement is the amazing smell this product has through and through. With modifications to the a-little-bit-too-sticky wax formula and the tad-bit-too-oily finishing wipes, this product has the potential to be the leading face wax kit on the market! Upon an updated release of this product I would definitely recommend this to the others but until those critical changes are addressed and altered, I would not recommend this product yet.Ashley G.

I was truthfully a bit disappointed with these. I read a bunch of reviews stating that they work great, so I was really looking forward to trying them. I followed and read the directions precisely and didn’t have great luck with them. They didn’t get all of the hair as they should and you can’t place another strip over the same spot, so that was a bit of a nuisance. It definitely gets some, but doesn’t leave you super smooth as they claim, unfortunately. The packaging is super cute and takes out to me though and I really like the idea of them. I just feel they have a bit of room for improvement! Ultimately, they are easy to use, just don’t work how I expected. I wouldn’t say that it is worth the pain in my opinion. I suppose they do at minimum help you get rid of some and make the process of shaving easier. I also don’t like that the after wipes aren’t wrapped individually – makes drying out more likely.Jazmyne

I bought this for 1/3 of the price compared to Bliss azulene waxing kit. I was able to use a few tablespoons to heat vs a whole container of wax. Note- use on the stove in a double boiler. Do not microwave in a plastic cup etc. gets way too hot. The blue azulene wax works the best for me, much better than the honey type waxes. Better and no strips to buy. Good on coarser hair also. I was skeptical of using this type of wax, as I had never used hard wax before. Always the soft wax with strips. Let me just say it takes some getting use to, but not too bad. I gave myself a bikini/Brazilian wax once with the soft wax and sorry for the TMI, but right above my cl*it I had a tuft of hair that I could not get, ended up with a landing strip, as I coudn't get the hair off as the soft wax I was using was just not made for that. When I bought this and did the bikini/Brazilian NO LIE this stuff got the tuft of HAIR!!! AMAZING!!! I could see the roots on all the hairs that got pulled out! I wish they made bigger bags! I got spoiled by using this wax first. I got a couple of others to try formulas, and this is hands down the best there is. A thin coat is all that's necessary. Hardens quickly, and stays in one solid piece. Does not crumble or break apart. Does not reheat when in contact with skin. Soothing formula for my very sensitive skin – even used it on my face. I'm listing things I hate about the others now that I've used this! So easy to work with. Melts quickly and evenly, and it's a SUPER PRETTY deep blue pearl hue. I absolutely love this wax. I have shaved, waxed and epililiated for many years. However I had never used Nads. On a whim I tried on my legs, bikini line and armpits. I have thick, dense, dark hair with fast regrowth. The biggest shock to me was how comfortable this is to use! The gel is not like wax that rips hair and skin, instead it only rips out the hair and is gentle on skin! The cotton strips are washable and reusable, so I can collect more with each purchase to aid in doing larger surface areas (I find once I use a strip to remove hair it doesn't work on the next area, so I have to use a new strip for every section of hair). I'm going on my third purchase of this product, I loved the first version of it but they reformulated it I think. Still works pretty well, though I only use it on my underarms. I haven't had much luck using it on my upper lip and I don't want to experiment on my face so I haven't. It takes a little bit of practice but once you get it down (the right heat/consistency and amount) then it's perfect. I have really thick, dark hair so I prefer to wax rather than shave my underarms because the hair is dark under the skin. I primarily wax my upper lip, and had been using the regular amber-colored honee before I decided to try something new (that stuff was pretty harsh on my face and would regularly take layers of skin off, despite my doing everything correctly–and yes, I even used baby powder). I didn't realize when I bought this that I wouldn't have to use strips anymore. Boy, what a relief! I don't feel like it does THAT great of a job at picking up fine hair on my upper lip (I wax consistently about every two weeks, so the hair has gotten pretty fine in that area), and it's kind of frustrating to have to go over it multiple times, but this wax is WAY gentler on my face than the other stuff, and I've even started doing my underarms and the finer hairs on my face beside my ears. I figured out through trial and error that this wax works best if you apply a liberal coat in the area you're pulling up hair, and it's easiest to accomplish that when you're using a fat popsicle stick, especially in larger areas. Didn't know until reading the reviews that you're only supposed to wait 30 seconds to pull it up, while it's still tacky. That would explain why it's been so painful doing my underarms. Haha. I sincerely recommend this wax to anyone in the market for it. Try looking up YouTube videos on "hard wax application and removal" if you're new to the game and need a few pointers to get you started.

I had ro do it for 200 seconds so it could even melt. One applied it dries supper quick which wouldn't be a problem if it was only on the skin. I have been waxing my eyebrows for about a year and a half, and I had been using the same clean+easy microwaveable wax since the start. Last time I went to buy it was sold out, so I turned to this for an alternative…. I definitely regret that. It's nice that this kit comes with so much, but it's not so nice when the actual wax doesn't do anything. 1st the "ready" stick that tells you when the wax is ready to use does not work at all, every single time the stick would say ready when the wax wasn't even warm when you touched it, and it wouldn't slide on with application, it's would just clump and fall off without getting any hair. But, even when you do use the wax at a warmer texture, it never hardens, so pulling it off is incredibly hard and it barely pulls out any hair. One of the worst parts of waxing at home is anticipating the pain when you rip the wax off. Having grown up in salons I am pretty much an expert at waxing at home. However you shouldn’t probably wax at home if you aren’t confident with your skill set. you have to heat this up without overheating it so you don’t burn your skin and you have a small window once it is the right temperature to apply it before it solidifies again. Definitely make sure you read the instructions for the application of the wax! And use the cream for after waxing to reduce red bumps or ingrown hairs. This product is awful. Normally I love Sally Hansen wax. I use their microwaveable all over wax without a problem. This one daid microwave for 90 seconds. I had ro do it for 200 seconds so it could even melt. One applied it dries supper quick which wouldn't be a problem if it was only on the skin. This wax does not work, but I guess I should've expected much for the price point. I have been waxing my eyebrows for about a year and a half, and I had been using the same clean+easy microwaveable wax since the start. Last time I went to buy it was sold out, so I turned to this for an alternative…. I definitely regret that. It's nice that this kit comes with so much, but it's not so nice when the actual wax doesn't do anything. 1st the "ready" stick that tells you when the wax is ready to use does not work at all, every single time the stick would say ready when the wax wasn't even warm when you touched it, and it wouldn't slide on with application, it's would just clump and fall off without getting any hair. But, even when you do use the wax at a warmer texture, it never hardens, so pulling it off is incredibly hard and it barely pulls out any hair. One of the worst parts of waxing at home is anticipating the pain when you rip the wax off. Having grown up in salons I am pretty much an expert at waxing at home. However you shouldn’t probably wax at home if you aren’t confident with your skill set. you have to heat this up without overheating it so you don’t burn your skin and you have a small window once it is the right temperature to apply it before it solidifies again. Definitely make sure you read the instructions for the application of the wax! And use the cream for after waxing to reduce red bumps or ingrown hairs. Easy to use!! Following the directions is key! But I decided to also improvise! Once I warmed up the waxing strips in my hands I also used my finger to rub it across the waxing strip once it changed to a clear color i knew it was time! Always best to pull opposite directions of hair grown the faster the pull the better the outcome! I did use each strip twice to get stubborn areas around the nose and corners of my lips. I applied the aloe cream which instantly took off the extra stickiness from the waxing strip. And reduce redness/ breakout. I chose to rinse the aloe off after a minute of it being applied. Ok. So. I used to get my lip waxed and if you did too, or still do, you know the pain. These are a little worse but mainly because you have to keep going back to get all the hairs. Also, the aftermath is rough. Meaning, I broke out horrendously after using this. But again, I’ve been doing it for a while so this has happened before. The aloe it comes with helps as in the cooling effect, but not as much for the soothing. But this is why I purchased the trial size before committing. Apparently "Infinite Shine" is a new range for OPI and as I was almost out of my favourite colour, I thought I'd give it a try. I purchased a new base coat, colour and top coat. They all went on easily and I was surprised at how quickly each coat dried, including the colour.I was pleasantly surprised how the polish stayed on for eight days without chipping or fading. These are the only ones that don’t leave my sensitive skin irritated, and they don’t leave clumps of reside behind. The fabric strips mold to your face so they don’t wrinkle causing the wax to fold and making the pull off painful. One box costs me less than getting my upper lip threaded or waxed. One strip is enough for my upper lip. Considering there is 12 double sided strips in a box, this Can last me 12 lip waxes which saves me almost $60 from a salon. That alone is enough to keep buying this product! The new packaging comes with powder to apply to you waxing area to help the strip adhere only to hair not skin. I would say that is a nice add in! I usually go for baby powder but now that it’s included as a bonus the kit seems even better. I do wish it came with more post wax towelettes, and smaller too. Rub them between your hands until they are warmer and softer, but still take a little pulling to get apart. For my eyebrows, I draw a line to match my brow line and cut the strip so that it fits easier and I can get more hair without being scared it will take the whole brow off. I use the scraps for between the brows. I wish they gave us more of the wipes to get the wax off, but you can use any oil you have on hand on a napkin once you run out. Be sure to smooth them down with pressure in the direction of the hair, then rip them off in the opposite direction— against the grain if you will.
