Okay so it took me a bit to realize you shouldn’t be using this as the last step of moisturizing unless your skin is very oily. This is meant to provide moisture not retain and keep it in like most moisturizers. Which is fine because the effect when I use it more like a serum is amazing!! Plump and a glass skin like texture that looks hydrated without being oily! It also smells legitimately like a watermelon unlike most artificial scents. I like that it comes in a nice glass bottle and have already purchased again in various sizes after I received it as a gift the first time. I will say it is quite overpriced due to the amount you get and how much you can go through but the product itself is worth it so I took off one star. For context, I've been using this moisturizer all summer. I purchased the mini watermelon moisturizer and have used almost the entire bottle. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and I had tried different creams and such to bring moisture back to my skin but nothing was really working. I use 1-1.5 pumps of this moisturizer twice daily and it has made a huge difference in my skin texture. Before I had patches of dryness which affected my foundation application but not anymore. Yes it's a gel moisturizer so it's not a heavy moisturizer but it does compliment other products, NO pilling when used with other products and my skin is more glowy now! Love the smell and that its very light weight, almost like a serum. I have oily skin most of the time (sometimes combo) but last year for a short time I suddenly had dry flaky & itchy skin patches and found out I suffered from skin dermatitis. Being sensitive to a lot of ingredients, I started researching skin care products & their list of ingredients to find something more natural and safer for my skin. This hit the mark, so I ordered from Sephora to try it out. This is fantastic that it doesn't make me oilier or feeling greasy on my oily days ( a little drop, 1 to 2 pumps goes a long way). I honestly use it as a serum most of the time for my nighttime routine, as it's so lightweight, I can add a moisturizer over it without getting greasy. I really feel like it gives me a nice brighter & naturally light from within kinda glow to my skin, without feeling like my skin is too dewy/shiny (being that I usually have oily or combo skin, I don't want added shine, so this is just perfect!) and it helps soften my skin too. I can't say it reduces redness though (at first I felt like it did, but not so much anymore, but for the smell, the moisturizing/softness, brightness and glow, I do love this!) As for that dermatitis issue of severe dryness I was having when I started with this product, within a week it went away with this serum! Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldn’t work for me like most others didn’t but I’m so glad I was proved wrong. I’m someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i can’t smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so that’s great! I’ve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. I'm not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. Texture reminds me of a gel-cream, so not the sticky jelly texture like some gel moisturizers.The design of the cap also isnt the best. one of the two attachments broke after only 2 uses. they're too wide set apart from each other compared to other squeeze tubes that I use. I love this moisturizer! I came across it on a YouTube video while looking for hydrating moisturizers. I have combination skin and my skin feels so hydrated after using this. It’s important to note that I pair this with the Laniege hyaluronic revitalizing toner which is also very hydrating. I also use an exfoliating cleanser, Paula’s Choice vitamin C serum and Innisfree sunscreen during the day. I use the moisturizer at night as well with other products. Love the combo! When I first started using this moisturizer a few years ago I loved it. My recent purchase of this moisturizer hasn't been the best. I'm not sure if an ingredient has been added but I'm even more oily after I apply it. I started having continuous breakouts all over my face (cheeks, jawline, between eyebrows & forehead) for a month. I thought it was stress and other things. I decided to eliminate this product from my skincare routine just to see if it would help. My skin immediately started clearing up. I believe it's a good product just not for oily, sensitive & acne prone skin. I also noticed my make-up looking terrible by the end of the day. In the morning it would be fine, during mid-day I look like a oil stick. Today was my second day not using it under my makeup & my face is not oily at all & it still looks fresh! My pores no longer feel clogged! I still love the Farmacy brand & will continue to purchase other skincare items! I'm just praying my review will help you all come up with another moisturizer that's a little lighter, less clogging of the pores and less fragrances and ingredients.
The new formula ruined this moisturizer for me. I had a subscription and was obsessed with the original formula. The smell was the most amazing and refreshing scent. I always felt like I was transported to a tropical island, and applying it was my favorite part of my skincare routine. The scent just lifted me up and relaxed me. Now, the new formula has zero scent. The whole experience is non-existent for me as a result. The original formula also just felt better on my skin overall. I could even apply it right over and around my eye area, and never experienced any irritation. It actually helped soothe my eyes. The new formula burns! I’ve been an avid user for years. The formula was perfect and never broke out my sensitive skin. UNTIL they changed the formula. I just purchased a new package and to say the difference is huge is a massive understatement. Whereas previously the moisturizer perfectly absorbed into my skin and truly had the oil free dewy glow you want, the new one adds this weird layer on top of your skin that just….sits there. It’s kind of sticky like it hasn’t fully absorbed and, this sounds dramatic, but it feels like it’s clogging my pores immediately. Like when you use a bad sunscreen, or a bad lotion in a pinch, and when you sweat you can feel that layer of sweat trying to come out but can’t and it just feels gross? Yeah. That’s how it feels almost immediately and then subsequently the rest of the day. You’re just sitting there not sweating and your face can’t breath or dry feeling. It gets worse, especially if you do end up outside and sweating. THIS TONER HAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY SKIN! I received it in a holiday kit for a 3 step skincare ritual. The smell was extremely strong but I tried looking past it. At first it worked well. I was noticing improvement in the size and cleanliness of my pores within weeks. Fast forward 5 month later and it has destroyed my skin. It has completely irritated and dried out multiple areas. I have never had an issue with irritation on my face until I incorporated this product into my skincare routine. But because is intended mainly for type 2 skin – mixed to dry- also contains delicate moisturizing ingredients such as witch hazel extract. Description says to apply this lotion 2 times a day, but I personally recommend it only once a day or even once every second day if you have really dry skin. The package of the product is a matte, transparent, plastic bottle with a green stopper. The liquid itself has delicate, slightly purple color, I think because of alcohol denat. Also this alcohol you can smell as soon as you open the bottle. It's irritating for me so I had to take o n.v e star out. My skin feels nice and smooth after using this. Jergens Ulta healing extra dry skin moisturizer is a great product to use if you have dry skin. My elbows are always really dry. When i used this moisturizer my skin felt so relieved after the first time using it. My skin was pretty much healed up after just a few days of using it. I loved that this lotion rubbed in nice and easily and left my skin so soft. It also doesn't leave any oil residue when you rubbed it in. I am very pleased with how great to no longer have cracked and dry elbows from using this moisturizer. It's definitely a great product to have for your extra dry skin issues.jennifer.l
I have had painfully cracked skin and heels since I started walking and it has taken me 28yrs to find out why. I have ichthyosis vulgaris. This is common trait passed down from one or both parents causing the body to not shed dead skin the way its supposed to. Which then causes a lot of other problems like infection and not being able to sweat from clogged pores. This condition can be misdiagnosed as severe dry skin in milder cases like mine.

I'm not sure how this product gets such good reviews. I expected much better from this brand. It's no better than something I could pick up at the drugstore for half the price. I had better luck with CeraVe. First of all, this smells terrible. It's supposed to be scentless but it smells like horrible chemicals. Second, it's a small bottle for the price. And I have to use at least 5-6 pumps to get any effect whatsoever which means this bottle isn't going to last long. Especially compared to Kiehls, which yes, is expensive, but in comparison I can used a pea-sized amount and it's more effective than 6 pumps of this lotion. I've been using this every day for two weeks and my skin is still dry. On the plus side, it hasn't caused breakouts for me like some of the other reviewers. But I won't be purchasing this again. I have been using this product since I was 12 years old, I used to steal it from my moms vanity (shhh don't tell her) it is perfect for combination skin to add The perfect glow for those of us that have naturally pretty "good" skin. I'm using this as it came with the Great Skin Set for dry skin. I also add the Moisture Surge to cheeks and neck at night. I'm definitely a type 2 and live in a very dry climate. However, I started using this as instructed: " Spread all over face/throat twice daily, or where needed." After a week, chin broke out, my skin was greasy and foundation wouldn't blend naturally. I contacted customer service and they said I should only use it on dry areas, contrary to what the instructions state. I tried that and my face is tight and dry and ended up using moisture surge on top of it for day and night. Still not great, I'm using 2 pumps for face/neck and barely have enough to spread evenly but still feels greasy and hard to blend foundation. Definitely better to use the moisturizing gel and add moisture surge if needed. Unfortunately I still have 1.5 bottles left from my gift sets. I might buy the Moisturizing Gel for day and keep using the Moisturizing Lotion+ only at night.Felicia

The first time I use the pore perfecting serum cream, I applied it immediately before going outside to tan because it contains SPF30. My face was extremely slick with grease once I got outside in the heat. Luckily I was just tanning to get colour and not seeing people or else I would have been very embarrassed with my appearance. I like that it is vegan, has SPF and is a serum/cream combination. Maybe it would be better for the winter because it is too greasy for the hot sunny summer for me, even though it has a light texture. I am surprised it is for oily/combination skin. There is a slight sunscreen smell and I think the greasiness I felt was also mostly from the sunscreen addition. I guess this would be good if you are going for the dewey look…but it definitely came out as greasy on me. I’ve used this sunscreen for a few months now. It takes a bit to absorb and makes me look a little greasy for a little while and has a bit of a white cast, but eventually evens it out. The only problem I’ve had with it is that it’s been pilling on my face which looks disgusting. However I do like the convenience of having a 3-in-1 and adding some extra moisture to my face. This is the most overrated overpriced lotion I have ever used. I suffer from dry skin already and my hands are worse than the rest because I'm always doing something with them that involves getting dirty and needing to be washed. After reading so many reviews on different kinds of lotions and everyone insisting this was the best I decided to try it. I noticed it wasn't working great first day but I decided maybe its one of those you have to keep doing. But now I've had this for awhile, used it daily and am am almost out and it absolutely has made no difference in my skin. Amazing cream! I use this in place of a night cream or on days that my skin feels dry and needs an extra boost. It's highly moisturising and non irritating, which is perfect for sensitive skin. Love that there is no unnecessary added fragrance either. Can be used on both your body and face. It's one of those products that actually does what it says and works so much better than high end products. If you follow Dr Dray on Youtube then you will already know that she also recommends this cream a lot as well, especially for people using retinoids. I've been applying it alongside my Differin gel to combact dryness from it's use. After washing my face, I rub in a thin layer of this cream onto my damp skin (to lock in moisture) and follow with Differin after it's dry. Using it in this way as suggested by Dr Dray reduces the risk of irritation, but still allows the retinoid to be effective. This cream got a pretty light texture. I liked using it during colder months, since my skin type is oily, during summer this cream would be too greasy for me. It leaves skin feeling deeply hydrated. The only down side is the fragrance. It’s nice, but it’s too strong. At first, I thought I wouldn’t be able to use this cream at all because of that, but later I got used to it. I have used this product in the past and found it did not suit my sensitive skin so I would not have bought it again. However I was asked to test this new formula and I have done so but been unable to detect any improvement. Admittedly the emphasis now seems to be on its agespot correcting properties which, as I dont have any agespots yet, I was unable to assess. I personally do not like the smell of this product very much although it would not prevent me from using it if I felt it did indeed replenish, lift and illuminate my skin as claimed. I have been wearing this cream for years. I actually use this cream day and night. I find this cream works better with my foundation than the day cream. They changed the formula recently and I liked the old formula better because it moisturized more, but I still use it. All of the other creams I have tried irritated my skin and broke me out. So, I keep going back to this cream. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend this cream. If you have VERY dry skin I would recommend combining this cream with Clarins face oil. I mix some of the oil and some of this cream together in my palm and then apply it to my face and neck when my skin is very dry. Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldn’t work for me like most others didn’t but I’m so glad I was proved wrong. I’m someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i can’t smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so that’s great! I’ve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. It’s not my holy grail but I’ll definitely use the whole tube especially since it didn’t break out my sensitive/acne prone skin.julia.s

My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. This has a runny texture, but it is quite rich and a little bit greasy. It glides on the skin really well and protects well against UV rays, even in summertime. I've used this moisturizer for many, many years. As I've gotten older I've tried anti-aging moisturizers with active ingredients, but they are not always friendly to my dry skin. I've concluded that I will let serums add the active ingredients into my regimen, but this product effectively moisturizes, sites beautifully under makeup, and provides sunscreen. My skin absolutely loves it. I think you need dry skin to appreciate the ultra-facial moisturizer because it is a little oily at first. But it sinks into my skin beautifully after a few minutes. I have recently tried Kiehl's Ultra Facial Advanced Butter and think it was great. I have farely dry skin in the winter and tend to get eczema on my forehead. This cream was very rich and thick and creamy, which worked great to rehydrate my skin and especially helped sooth the eczema on my forehead. Within about 3 days of using on my face my dry winter skin was much healthier looking and rehydrated. The redness went away as well. This was my first purchase from PCA and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I've been dealing with a new wave of hormonal acne for a few months and was been looking for a gel texture moisturizer to hydrate my skin during the day. The acne treatments I've been using have dried out my skin pretty severely so when I saw that this was designed to sooth irritated skin and the very high reviews I was excited to try it out. If I use this on its own or preferably with a face oil (I've been using Sunday Riley UFO) my skin is fine, not the most hydrated it could be but pretty good for daily wear. BUT if I try to use this with a prescription benzoyl peroxide or dapsone my face tightens and dries out in a matter of minutes and I experience a burning sensation. I also find that if I try to put a thicker moisturizer on top to try and counteract it's drying/irritating effects it immediately pills and I'm left with thick globs of product around my face that don't absorb, rendering my entire routine pretty useless. I'd give this product 3 stars but it's ridiculously pricey for not very much product and very underwhelming results. I think this would work well for people with oily skin, but otherwise I think there are much better gel moisturizers out there.Anonymous

I was having trouble with acne because, as I discovered later, my skin was too dry. I got a professional facial and the esthetician used this moisturizer on me. She gave me a sample to take home and said not to use it more than a couple times a week. I started using it daily and within about 5-7 days of consistent use, 90% of my acne was gone. I also changed my cleanser to something milder, which helped. I use .01% Retin A every night and this moisturizer helps a lot with the dryness. It’s not expensive either. I am a big fan of EltaMD products and have been really enjoying this Moisturizer. I purchased the one in the tube and I love how easy it is to get the product out and that it is more sanitary. I generally do not like skincare products in tubs so this is a great alternative to those containers. I apply an occlusive layer after my moisturizer to lock in moisture and find that my dry, irritated skin is much happier when I do. This product is one of the best moisturizers I have used in a very long time. I've been using it at night, but also a few times a week in the mornings and then just wiping it off like a mask product. It is amazing how dewy your skin feels and looks after using EltaMD Intense Moisturizer. Oh and it says it melts – it sure does! A little goes a long way and I'm even using it on my lips. This may be my new favorite product.

Epionce Lytic TX was recommended by my esthetician and I am so glad it was. After 3 months of applying a small amount each evening after I clean and tone my face, my skin looks brighter – my dark spots are lighter. The wrinkles on my cheeks when I smile are also softer and my skin is overall much smoother. An important note about application: as advised by my esthetician, I also wait 6-8 minutes before applying my nighttime serum. I’ve used a number of moisturizers – including Clairins and JackBlack – and I think Anthony is the best. One small dab of lotion on your finger is enough to cover your face and neck, and it’s small size makes it perfect for traveling. Unfortunately it doesn’t have any SPF sun protection (I wish it did), but it’s a good all-season moisturizer that is worth the money! I use all Anthony facial products exclusively including their glycolic cleanser and shaving cream, and I’m very pleased with the way they make my skin feel and look.
Bought initially reluctantly as an alternative to favourite more luxury shaving cream that has been difficult to find in stock. PROS: – Rich, creamy texture worked well with eczema-prone sensitive skin on face. – Smell is pleasant – not to artificially minty. I always buy my personal needs from Fendrihan. I received a sample of this shave cream … could be a long time ago. I finally opened it up and tried to use it with a brush in a bowl. Disappointing. Reading the instructions suggest applying to the wet face with ones fingers. I had enough to do this. I shaved and ….. Wow! It was like there was no blade in the razor. So so smooth, such a close shave. I dare to say, at the risk of readers wanting to take me to the guillotine, that my shave was even better than when using TOBS or other high quality brush creams. I had to have a tube NOW. I managed to get one the same day. This cream is excellent should one have little time to shave in the morning or when traveling when you do not want to take your brush, bowl and tub of soap with you, or to get a great shave and then… find out what a pleasure you miss when you shave using your usual full routine. I love this! It’s light and it doesn’t effect my dry, sensitive skin. It’s not greasy, absorbs into my skin really well and feels like a layer of moisture protection when I rub it on. I gave 4 stars bc the only thing I don’t like about it, is that there is no covering for the nozzle where the product comes out besides this tiny plastic stopper. It’s so small you can easily lose that and then there’s nothing stopping the pump from closing.Amanda
I bought this moisturizer because I needed something that was safe to use during my laser sessions as this cream doesn’t have any fragrance or AHA’s/BHA’s as far as I know. I hated it. The only thing I like is the packaging, but it’s too big for my small hands to pump out. The cream is so thick which got me excited but it just sits on your face. It does not moisturize whatsoever. It drives me NUTS! You HAVE to use a serum underneath because this moisturize sits on your face like Vaseline, it’s very waxy/balmy. If you watch the “how to use” video you can see white streaks on Jessica’s face and that is literally what this cream does, gives you white streaks that you need to blend out like a foundation. This is the first-ever moisturizer that gives me white streaks on my face lol it’s so weird I don’t understand this product whatsoever! I have dry/combination skin.Hyaa
I loved everything about this moisturizer except sometimes it felt as though it was sitting on top of my skin. However, even when it seemed that way and didn't totally sink in, it still sat beautifully under makeup AND moisturized my skin really well. I suffer from very sensitive skin, fungal acne/folliculitis on my face as well as acne. This absolutely calmed all of those and did not cause a flare up. I can tell within two days if a product will irritate or cause breakouts and this did not! 🙂Holly
