I used to use "Paula's Choice Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA," but at $28, it was a little pricey. As an experiment, I put AmLactin on one arm and Paula's Choice on the other. It was clear that Paula's Choice was the initial winner. It went on smooth, smelled great, and left my skin softer, quicker. However, because of the more affordable price, I kept using AmLactin, and I'm glad I did. While AmLactin may take more time to work, I noticed that my skin is getting softer–and staying that way for longer. And while they're not a true apples to apples comparison because AHAs and BHAs do offer different benefits, they also have some important overlap that I'm looking for–and I'm getting those benefits with AmLactin at a much cheaper price. I'll continue to repurchase. FYI, I purchased my bottle directly from the Target shelf, and I did not have any foul smell with my bottle. I wish I could see a better results, unfortunately this product did not work for me. I used it for 2 months, daily after my shower. I will give 4 starts because of the ingredient list and my skin does feel soft after using it, however that was not what was advertised. I have used these products for a year. First, the face moisturizer is the best I've ever used to help revive my dry post-chemo skin. I like that it's in tube form and you see what you are getting. However, the eye, neck, and this TRANSform body treatment gave me little results with daily use. My tip: keep an eye on the increments listed on the outside of these products. It is NOT indicative of the oversized bottle. I was floored when I broke open BOTH the body treatment and eye treatments that each sold for nearly $200. Only the tip of my smallest finger fit the internal tube inside. Doubtful there was anything close to 6 oz in the TRANSform I purchased from Alastin. Seems much expense is being put into the packaging to house a tiny bit of product. Physicians grade or not, this is wrong.

Fragrance is an important factor as well. I search for naturally scented lotions and creams that bring a little ecstasy into my life – my olfactory nerves need love, too. This had a barely perceptible scent of citrus which quickly vanished. This lotion absorbed rapidly and left my skin with a velvety finish, but didn't deliver the super moisturizing properties I'm searching for. Frankly, I get better results from various, much lower priced organic lotions. My quest continues.

I really like this product because dove is an inexpensive but great value and features. The pump sometimes doesn’t come up by the end of the bottle but that about the packaging and not the product it self. I should preface this review by saying that I have combination skin but used this to calm my skin after having an allergic reaction to a different product. Overall, I found the face wash to be very thick. It left a white residue on my face after patting try with a towel and left my face feeling like it had a thick layer of product on it. I bought this thinking it would protect my dry skin. I already use other moisturisers of similar cost but because this was offering 48 hours o thought it would be more moisturising. It is not. It barely moisturised at all. Granted it sunk in quickly but it seemed to provide no moisturising at all. I used up the whole product hoping to see improvement after several days, but no. used the whole thing and stayed happy with it! it smells a bit sour, but its not a fragrance , it's just a smell of the ingredients. Thick texture, feels a bit greasy. Goes a long way, but after it's absorbed skin is so smooth! soft! just beautiful! it's a good buy for those who wants to even out the skin on body, plus it prevents ingrown hair. the only thing I am a bit unhappy about is that this bottle is used up really quickly. I used to use "Paula's Choice Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA," but at $28, it was a little pricey. As an experiment, I put AmLactin on one arm and Paula's Choice on the other. It was clear that Paula's Choice was the initial winner. It went on smooth, smelled great, and left my skin softer, quicker. However, because of the more affordable price, I kept using AmLactin, and I'm glad I did. While AmLactin may take more time to work, I noticed that my skin is getting softer–and staying that way for longer. And while they're not a true apples to apples comparison because AHAs and BHAs do offer different benefits, they also have some important overlap that I'm looking for–and I'm getting those benefits with AmLactin at a much cheaper price. I'll continue to repurchase. FYI, I purchased my bottle directly from the Target shelf, and I did not have any foul smell with my bottle. I don't know if they've reformulated, but the smell might be something that varies from batch to batch.Katie

I love this light, fruit scented body lotion. Thick lotions don’t work well for me – I need light lotions that will sink in and work quickly to hydrate.
