Since the Neutrogena Healthy Skin anti-wrinkle cream w/SPF15 w/retinols was discontinued, I have been on a quest to find something similar. The anti-wrinkle cream had a great consistency and scent (smelled slightly of sun-screen). I tried this Healthy Skin firming cream. But it was very different. It felt greasy and I did not like the scent at all. I thought I would just keep it and apply it on my legs but the scent is strong and I can smell it throughout the day.Laina
this is my husbands account, so first off i am a female, i’ve had some issues with wrinkles mostly caused by smoking, but recently i got a chemical burn which caused my face to look more wrinkled and saggy, for both issues i’ve been using retinol, vitamin c, hydroxy acids etc religiously! with little to no change! this is by far my favourite product with the most noticeable results! immediately you’re face looks dewy and healthy, wrinkles are less defined, and in the long term i’ve noticed less wrinkles, less acne scars, my face looks much healthier! and it doesn’t ball like many of my other lotions, it works well with make up, and also I found it as a miracle product for eczema! i’ve tried exzema lotions, steroid prescriptions, NOTHING worked! i have big dry patches/sores on my ankles and top of foot, it’s sore and itchy and dark brown and never heals, i started using hylauronic serum first, then rub this in after, and although it hasn’t completely healed it’s the best it’s been, all the redness is gone, the swelling; the dark brown spots faded, and it’s not as pronounced and dry and itchy and sore. So some people may have bad reviews because this personally doesn’t work for them for some reason, i think it’s one of the best products out there especially for the price range. I've been a loyal user of the Healthy Skin with Retinol and Multi-Vitamins for years. It was always in a pump and looked identical to the packaging of this particular product. However, this is something very different and toxic to my skin. After a few days wearing this, my face has broken out in to a rash and burns. My skin hasn't looked this bad since I was a teenager fighting acne. Apparently, the old product.I used that was in a pump is now in a tube…but at this point I'm scared to try anything since my skin is such a mess. I bought this product to use on my neck and hands. I have been using it once daily for about 2 weeks now. I don't have any wrinkles/lines on my neck but I am hoping that the retinol in this product keeps it that way. But I can say that this lotion does a great job of keeping my neck moisturized and soft. On my hands I had a red splotch that has been there for over a year- I've noticed that since using this product that red splotch has lightened significantly. It comes in a bottle with a pump that is super easy to use. I like it a lot more than the pumps you usually get on a bottle of lotion. One pump easily covers my neck/hands. I've had pretty terrible scarring on my shoulders, chest, and back from acne for at least 6 years now and this is the ONLY thing that has helped. Not only did it smooth out the uneven texture of my scars, but it lightened them to the point where I can't see 80% of them anymore! At least for me there was no purge period and just like any other skincare product it does take about a week or 2 to start seeing results. For those wondering the consistency is on the thicker side. I find it works best when you apply it, wait a minute or 2 before applying moisturizer, then wait another minute or 2 before covering the area with anything (shirt, pants, sheets, etc.) Overall 100% would recommend and I hope they never stop selling it!J

Oh my god I love this! Feel so lucky to find a 1) fragrance free 2)body moisturiser that 3) contains retinol, and 4)that retinol is encapsulated! It’s beautifully moisturising, nice and thick but not greasy, leaves my eczematic skin nice and protected. On top of that, my skin LOVES retinoids, and this helped my eczema flair around my belly button clear a little more quickly (beware those who are new to retinoids though this will not be your experience AT FIRST). Love the ingredients, in fact if this had ceramides in it, it’d basically be MY perfect body product haha. The retinol is encapsulated, stabilising it and making it more effective at penetrating the skin barrier while also making it gentler! This is also a great priced product which makes all of this even more exciting to me. Only ding I have is the pump! It’s terrible lol, and mine basically stopped working with 3/4 of the tub full! The moisturiser, while perfect for my skin, is too thick for the pump, so I ended up opening the lid to scoop it with my hands which… is hard when I’m wet after a shower! Plus I get nervous adding moisture to my tub products, worried that it might overwhelm the preservatives and lead to microbe growth. That was disappointing bc my second fav body moisturiser (CeraVe) has the same problem. Olay has long been a trusted name in the beauty world, so when the chance arose to try their Revitalizing & Hydrating Hand & Body Lotion, I was all in. The lotion promises to "penetrate skin up to 10 layers deep" without leaving a greasy residue. It also contains vitamin B3, which helps skin to "hold on to water, so it can become it's own moisturizer", along with vitamin C. I use a lot of skin lotion. I keep it in my car, my work bag, my purse and in several rooms of my house. I have a mild case of psoriasis on my elbows and rely on lotion to keep it moisturized throughout the day. Most of the time I use a heavy, greasy lotion because I in the past, have found that to be the best, longest lasting solution. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and indeed, is non-greasy. For me, the true test, though, was when I applied it to my elbows, just before heading out to work a 5 hour shift. I would normally get into my car after work and immediately re-apply lotion to my elbows. This lotion kept them nicely hydrated and I was able to wait several more hours before re-applying it. I did use it on my hands throughout the day. I like the way this lotion feels and it's hydrating properties are wonderful. The only thing I might change is that the fragrance doesn't fit in with the scents I normally wear. I ltend to ean towards essential oil based fragrances. Why I like it: I bought this online, not knowing that it had been reformulated since the website still shows the picture of the old bottle and has the old ingredients list. The old one is called Lipikar Balm AP+ Intense Repair Moisturizing Cream, while the new one is called Lipikar AP+M Triple Repairing Moisturizing Cream, so if you get a bottle that says the latter, it's the new version. I was nervous to try the new one since I had used the old one for a little over a year as both a body lotion and face moisturizer at night for my dry skin and it had worked wonders. It kept my skin moisturized without breaking me out, which is impressive for such a thick moisturizer. New vs. old formula: This new formula is pretty similar, but not quite as good. It takes longer to rub in than the old one, and at first it feels a little stickier, although it doesn't stay sticky for too long. The textures are pretty similar, but this new one feels a little airier or slightly more whipped, and when it comes out of the bottle it doesn't come out as smoothly, like there are lots of air pockets in it, which is a bit of a pain. On the skin though it feels pretty much the same. The main ingredient difference between the two seems to be that the old one had mineral oil while this one doesn't, and this one has ceramides while the old one didn't. You can find the new ingredient list on the La Roche-Posay website since Ulta still shows the old one. Overall thoughts: Overall I still like this moisturizer and will continue using it; I still haven't had any problems with it breaking me out. But I did like the old one a bit more and I was frustrated to not know I was getting a different product when I placed my order, so hopefully this helps someone with that.Skincare Enthusiast
My initial reaction when using this moisturizing cream was how thick it is. It's incredibly easy to smooth on the skin and you dont need a lot of product to cover your entire body. But something felt odd about it after it started drying down. It felt heavy like my skin was coated. Using it again I finally figured out what was happening. This cream's first ingredient is water. Another ingredient is Shea Butter. These are great ingredients, in winter, because it's for extra dry skin. It's also accepted by the National Eczema Association. During the winter months this is absolutely what my skin needs and I look forward to using it then, when I know my skin will absolutely drink it in and love it. But, right now it's summer in the Midwest and temperatures have been high 90s/ low 100s for several weeks and with the high humidity that comes along with that, it's just too much moisture for my skin to handle. Other than that, this product is amazing. Not only for it's Eczema relieving properties but also because it's suitable for babies and adults. It's also suitable for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. (Consult your trusted medical professional prior to using.) The bottle is also made from 96% recycled plastic (excluding pump). I have had a hard time finding a good moisturizer for my eczema which mostly affects my face. I was looking for one I can use at night that is super hydrating and this is it. I will say it's probably not something you would want to wear as your daytime moisturizer because it is extremely visible (greasy looking?) and it does feel thick at first but it's extremely worth it. I also am very acne prone and this did my make me break out. I do have a steroid cream prescription that kind of helps but I had some really stubborn spots that wouldn't go away. In addition to my prescription I use the lanolin gold salve on the areas that are really eczema prone. I have been using the lanolin/steroid cream combo for months and while they help I have only been using this moisturizer for about a week and it seems to be the final piece of the puzzle to solve my eczema. Point is you probably won't regret this purchase. I do wish I had the bigger bottle with the pump though because it is a better deal and I think pumps are better than caps.Frank

I used to have eczema and pityriasis all over my body. I have tried loads of different lotions, moisturizers and so on but nothing has been beneficial to me. Until i tried this product… voila! I love philosophy body washes. They come in several nice scents and this Senorita Margarita is one of my favorites. Senorita Margarita scent smells like a Margarita, but the scent is subtle, clean and fresh and you dont smell like you just came out of a Bar afterward. If you like a body wash with scent that lasts after your out of the bath, this one is Not for you. Thats the case with most Philosophy bath washes (except the perfumed "Graces"). But that feature IS one main reason WHY I like philosophy washes so much. The scent smells good in the shower, but doesn't interfere with my perfume. Also philosophy washes are moisturizing and dont leave my skin dry. With some other Brands/body washes my skin starts to feel dry if I dont apply moisturizer right away. Although this is a 3-in 1 Shampoo/Bubble Bath/ Body wash, I mostly use this as a shower gel, but have used it as a bubble bath and shampoo. I was surprised how soft it left my hair the first time I did. For me the worst thing about Philosophy body washes are they run more expensive that others, but because they leave my skin feeling so geat, I buy them anyway, but only when I find them at a good price. I purchased this lotion because I love the scent of bergamot I love bergamot. However, the scent of this lotion is unlike any bergamot that I have smelled previously. I cannot use it as body lotion because I do not like the scent. I took the bottle to my job to use it as hand lotion after I have washed my hands. I have an unhealthy obsession with the Fresh brand! They use mostly great ingredients in their products which is a must for me. They also have such luxe packaging that it makes you feel like you are using really high quality skincare products. I love the whole Black Tea line at Fresh. The whole product line has the most amazing fresh smell. I received a small sample of this cream so I can't speak on long term results. After using it a few times as a night cream, it left my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. It's a very nice thick cream as well, too thick for me to use as a day cream as I have oily skin. I love this lotion. It is very rich and feel awesome in my skin. The only thing that I don't like neither dislike is that it is a little scentless. I liked a lot the old Q10 similar to the Shea Butter but the smell has become lighter in my opinion in the last couple of years or I was buying another series that is discontinue or change. I remember using it everyday not only because feel great in my skin, the smell was so amazing that it get stick in my clothes. This one is Vit. C, I guess you can not get scent from that. The Q10 and Vitamin C is a great lotion and have the advantage that it is very rich lotion VS the Shea Butter that smell better but I haven see a rich version (it comes for normal skin).Yal01
honestly i think anything nivea is good i think it’s my favorite brand because the scent for this lotion LASTS all day and my body just feels so smooth and clean afterwards. I have been using the Nivea firming lotion for decades after every shower and then switched to this as soon as it came out. Both smell nice and so a great job moisturizing. I switched to this because my skin needs more emollients now that I am older. In fact, in the winter I need something heavier than this, but I find that the La Roche Posay lotion I was using is too greasy for humid weather. I went back to this and it’s perfect for the season. I don’t think there’s much evidence to back up the firming claims, but I will say after years of use, I am 46 and I get many compliments on my skin, even from my dermatologist.amanda .e

I’ve tried many lotions and creams in my lifetime. Some worked ok while others made me more dry and itchy. So far I am liking the Palmers Firm Tone Body Lotion. One it smells nice not to strong, it’s a light cocoa butter scent. It’s not watery a little thick. When applying it goes on nicely and leaves your body feeling hydrated. It’s not watery at all and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. I rub in circular motion on my entire body and focus on my trouble areas. I have noticed where my skin was loose that it has firmed. I’ve been using this Firming Body Lotion from Palmer’s for a couple of weeks now. It is a thick, creamy lotion which is perfect for cooler weather when I want a thicker product than I do in warmer weather. It goes on smoothly & absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling on my skin. It is made with collagen, elastin & Q10 for firming & toning. The information on the back of the bottle indicates that skin improvement can be seen after 8 weeks of use. Since I’ve only used it for a short time, I’m not seeing any visible improvement other than great moisturizing. I’ll continue using this every day & hope to eventually see some results. The only thing that I don’t like about this body lotion is the scent. It is made with cocoa butter which is harvested from cocoa beans so I smell like chocolate all the time. Hubby's winter skin is dry with itchy, bumpy patches- some kind of keratosis condition that really flares this time of year. Dr. Dray recommended Amlactin for skin irritations of this type, and hubby says it works very well to soothe and exfoliate! He had tried many other moisturizers with less than satisfactory results. I used to use "Paula's Choice Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA," but at $28, it was a little pricey. As an experiment, I put AmLactin on one arm and Paula's Choice on the other. It was clear that Paula's Choice was the initial winner. It went on smooth, smelled great, and left my skin softer, quicker. However, because of the more affordable price, I kept using AmLactin, and I'm glad I did. While AmLactin may take more time to work, I noticed that my skin is getting softer–and staying that way for longer. And while they're not a true apples to apples comparison because AHAs and BHAs do offer different benefits, they also have some important overlap that I'm looking for–and I'm getting those benefits with AmLactin at a much cheaper price. I'll continue to repurchase. FYI, I purchased my bottle directly from the Target shelf, and I did not have any foul smell with my bottle. The previous Roc Cream they had worked perfectly and smelt great! This new one is horrible. It’s very thick on the skin sits on top of the skin and doesn’t easily absorb. A bunch of cream rubbed off my skin easily throughout the day. AND it smells horrendous very mildewy, musky smell. The smell does NOT go away neither ! I’ve been using this product for many years but I feel like I have to switch to something else now. Very disappointing! I hope they bring the other one back!Mary
Purchases online. Used at night. The next day, around noon I started to develop an intense red rash. My skin was so swollen and red and itchy it burned and my coworkers ( I work in medicine) were suggesting I go to urgent care. I took Benadryl had to get cream and nothing helped. Lately, PC has been coming out with high-priced luxury style products and not offering samples of travel sizes. When Clinical Ceramide-Enriched Firming Moisturizer was released, I tried a full bottle once it was available during a 20% off sale because otherwise the price is astronomical. The product comes in an airless pump, which is great for keeping the product fresh and effective. The product itself is very creamy and elegant, like a cross between a light lotion and a serum. The texture and scent remind me of PC Clinical Retinol treatment, so I suspect there is some ingredient overlap between the two. The top active ingredient is SAP, which is a stable form of vitamin C, and is known to be a bit more gentle, yet not as immediately effective as L-Ascorbic Acid. When questioned about the SAP percentage, staff at PC pulled the "proprietary" card, so suffice it to say that it has "a lot" of SAP, but who knows for sure it is a clinically effective amount. The product also contains Retinol (way down on the list) and several ceramides which are known to help repair the skin barrier. I found the product to be irritating, and it actually caused breakouts on my non-acne prone skin. I didn't notice any brightening (vitamin C) or firming with regular use. However, the drier areas of my face became much more hydrated and texture improved on those parts of my face. As a result, I have to give some props to this product for providing excellent moisture for parched skin. I did use up the entire bottle I purchased, but won't repurchase due to mixed results.Asha
This is my go to PC moisturizer for both AM and PM. Whenever I've stopped using it to try a new one, I immediately notice the change. Some are too heavy, others too light, others don't play well with my sunscreen or makeup, but this one is just right. In the morning I mix it with my boosters (azelaic acid, 20% niacinamide) and my 2% BHA in the palm of my hand and apply it all at once to face, neck and chest, then add an under eye cream. This takes 30 seconds. I let it absorb and follow with my SPF (Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 in my tropical climate or Super-Light Wrinke Defense SPF 30 in drier climate). At bedtime I mix the exact concoction plus 1% retinol in the palm of my hand, apply under eye cream, lip balm and I'm done. It sounds like a lot, but it takes less than a minute.Middle aged babe
I've always had dry skin, and about 5 years ago it had gotten extremely problematic as well as starting to get spots of excema on my temples. I had received a few travel size samples of PC products as a gift w/ purchase from a retail store, and decided to actually use them because of the ingredients. I am an MD w/ a BS in chemistry and had used my education to identify ingredients that would be helpful or not. I previously used Pevonia products for about 12 years, but was frustrated I could only buy these extremely high priced products at high quality spas. I had been seriously ill and Rx medications caused a drastic change in my skin. Within a couple of months I had started to develop some fine lines and I tried the 3 product samples (cleanser, exfoliant, moisturiser), I was shocked that I noted a significant improvement within a week. I found the PC website and reviewed product ingredients, originally started using the whole Skin Recovery system. A couple of years ago I bought a house w/ central air/heat which caused extreme dryness and stubborn fine lines. I added a few serums and changed to the RESIST line w/ Clinical Ultra-Rich moisturiser, which helped a lot, but recently I developed a few stubborn lines after the maid at a hotel I was staying at for a week tossed out all my travel size products the first day, complicated by a 6.5 hour flight home. I added a couple more serums, but could only use at night because my foundation wasn't compatible. When I saw this new products' ingredients, I noted it contained the same types of nutrients I was using 4 serums for, so decided to try it in an attempt to consolidate my routine. I decided to use as follows: RESIST cleanser, RESIST toner, RESIST Weekly Resurfacing 10% AHA (1-2x week overnight), spot treatment to fine lines w/ hyaulonic acid and moisture renewal oil, AM this product alone, PM top w/ a small dollup Ultra-Rich. I wouldn't apply right out the shower as it gets super sticky, so I generally wait to apply to the areas I need it about half hour after my shower. I don't mind the sticky after a night time shower, just mind it after a day time shower. It has made my skin look smoother in areas where I have a lot of scar tissue and stretch marks. I was looking for a good coconut oil lotion for a decent price and came upon this lotion. When I first put it on, it felt sticky. I was thinking oh no!! I hate when lotion leaves your skin yucky….but after a few minutes the stickiness disappeared and my skin felt great. This lotion is actually amazing and after a few days of use I can feel the difference in my skin. The smell is nice also, it smells like coconut. I will definitely be buying this again.Cecily

I have a rather large bust and after having 2 kids, they have gone a little flat up top. this has made my skin "crease" and become thin. when I pinched the skin it sunk back slowly, Iv used it morning, and night just on my bust and I'm surprised how well it's done! i certainly wasnt expecting miracles and It hasnt lifted my boobs (wouldnt that be nice) but it has filled in my "creases".. the skin to me looked awful before when I bent over, like the top of my breast couldn't take the weight. But now the skin seems to be supported more and less like it's being tugged on. my skin also bounces back quickly rather than slowly when pinched. my only complaint is I had to cut the bottle in half to get the (large amount) of cream out of the bottom as the pump did not pick it up from there. Time to write an HONEST review. First off this smells like "butt". NO one mentions the odd smell anywhere so PLEASE heads up on that! Yeah, it sort of works by making your skin "appear" to have moisture BUT the smell is just nasty! It also wears off shortly after applying! I put this everywhere after my shower and within 2 hours my skin is dry again. I also don't see how or anywhere on my skin appearing to be "firmer". Yep, I'm old, post-menopause, but everyone here "claims" this made their skin so much firmer even after weight loss. Something is amiss here! I've been using this twice a day if not more, tolerating the butt smell and I see no "firmness" in my skin. For visible results apply twice a day. I think this is especially important for pregnant women, because there you can’t relax as stretch marks must be prevented. The cream absorbes quickly and you can get dressed immediately. It is good for the gym and for the winter periods. No stickiness or oiliness from this product. The skin gets enough nutrition and hydration, there is a feeling of comfort. Especially if applied twice a day. Doesn't clog pores. I have used it on my bust and décolleté. Doesn't cause breakouts. I did not notice a distinct strengthening of the skin though, apparently I need to drink collagen inside as well, but the caring properties of the cream pleased me. I especially liked the packaging with the pump, that's very convenient. The aroma is sweet, it smells like cocoa, it doesn't bother me. But I can not say that it smells very tasty. I have a dry skin and so I used this Avalon Organics Aloe unscented hand & body lotion. It comes in a nice green bottle with a pump and the product is easy to dispense. A little bit goes a long way. It did take a few seconds for the lotion to be completely absorbed into my skin. My skin also felt soft and smooth after using this product. It doesn't have any scent and the texture is creamy white. The lotion is made using organic ingredients such as aloe vera, shea butter and calendula. I love aloe for its hydrating properties and I am glad to see that in this lotion. It's cruelty free and free from harmful ingredients such as parabens, sulfates, synthetic colors or fragrances and phthalates. The lotion absorbs into the skin rather quickly and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky. The scent isn't overpowering at all, it's nice light calming lavender scent.
