20 Best Milk Cleanser For Dry Skin (Feb 2023 Update)

I have oily/combo skin that gets flaky around my mouth during dry wintertime. I have been using this cleanser both morning and night every day for the past 2 months and plan on continuing to use this until summer time when I will probably need something a little more heavy duty (a must for my oily t zone in humid FL). I love the way this stuff feels so gentle and soft on my skin while still making me feel clean. Absolutely no stripping/drying out. I doubt it would remove all of your makeup on its own, but I use a cleansing balm first that I rinse off with water, followed by this cleanser and have had no issues. Highly recommendhoney

I don't typically write reviews but just want to mention how great this is. I am a 50 year old male, with rosacea, history of skin cancer, and could never find anything that would help with the redness and blemishes and all the fun stuff that comes with rosacea until my daughter recommended Tula. And i don't know how to adequately express my thankfulness for these products. I use the gentle cleansing milk and then moisturize with the soothing moisturizer and my face feels new and looks the best it has in 30 years. Okay so this is now my HOLY Grail cleanser. I got into skincare during quarantine and decided to go on a journey to find the perfect vegan skincare routine for me right now. I dedicated months and several funds to find a great cleanser, and although I found a few contenders, this one ultimately took the cake. My skin is 27 years old, I have eczema , very dry (that often cracks and flakes), itchy, and sensitive prone skin. So to find a cleanser that did not trigger my skin in those areas, all while being vegan, was a heavy lift. However, this exceeded my expectations! I love the milky consistency, I love the smell, and I love the finish. I get that "clean" feeling without it feeling tight or dry afterwards. Well freaking done. Now only if the "Illuminating serum" were vegan, I mean I'd have my whole skincare routine with Tula!Kamera C.

Despite having a bad experience with the moisturizer, I needed a new cleanser and after hearing some recommendations for this one I decided to try the mini size, and I must say, I’m impressed! For whatever the reason, the cream irritates my face so I was a little worried about this cleanser, but thankfully it didn’t! It’s nice and thick, really creamy, and feels nice being rubbed into the skin. I have pretty dry skin so I like using cream cleansers for hydration. It’s especially good for the cold months. I don’t wear a lot of makeup so I can’t properly say whether it cleans it all off or not, but I do wear other skincare products including SPF and I felt like this gave me a good cleanse while not stripping my skin of moisture. I never had any problems with the formula turning weird like some other users have said. The packaging is also cute which is a plus. I will say I’m taking a star off cause it’s pricey. But it’s actually one of my favorite cleansers I’ve tried so I might just suck it up. Overall I would recommend, especially to those with dry skin!aglazer

My holy grail cleanser for dry skin. It's not going to remove all your makeup as your first cleanser (especially mascara) so don't expect this to do what a cleansing balm or oil will do. However, it will in fact remove minimal makeup so sometimes I can get away with just using this. It has an amazing creamy texture, I don't notice a fragrance (maybe slight) and most important of all for me is that it doesn't strip my skin as do other cleansers. Very underrated. I will continue purchasing this as I like it better than other high end cleansers for dry skin.bettyplo

I have probably tried about 100 different types of cleansers on the market and this was one of my least favourite. I was actually surprised with all the positive reviews, because I did not experience anything that great about this cleanser. If you use too much product, it does a huge lather on your face, but then when you need to rinse your face, you’re all dry and flaky. If you use just a little bit, it doesn’t lather up or do anything on your face and it does not remove your make up at all. You just have some sort of filmy residue left behind. I am a combination skin type, acne prone and I found this face wash clogged my pores. For the price, I found it was not worth it and it certainly did not clean my skin well. I noticed every time I used it, I would suffer from a breakout, so sadly, I returned it. My favourite face wash . I use Dr Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk every morning , and I find it super gentle on my face . It has a lovely creamy texture , a delicate smell and gently removes my make up too . It comes in a substantial glass bottle with a pump on the top . I hadn't tried this cleanser before, but the reviews were good. It is indeed very light, which suits me because I don't wear make-up at work. It feels getnle and creamy on the skin – I just rinse it off and pat my face dry, and my skin is left soft and comfortable overnight. I think, for make-up wearers, it might need a bit more help, but for me it is fine at night. Wow. I used to work for a luxury cosmetics company in NYC for over 15 years so I have tried pretty much every miracle cleanser under the sun. These past few years, I have been transitioning into more natural products, and I finally tried Dr. Hauschka skincare thanks to the trial size kit they offer. Im obsessed with this product! I dont wear alot of makeup i prefer chanels tinted moisturiser (unfortunately discontinued) but using with or without make up my skin is left feeling clean, moisturised, soft and just radiant. I like to use baby wipes to remove majority of my makeup off, then i apply the cleanser, a little goes a long way and when you wipe it off you can see its taken every bit of makeup off. I love that you dont need to wash it off. The smell is amazing and your skin well it will thankyou after using. Definitely recommend to anyone with any skin type!Mizsarah

I am so glad I chose this as my choice for Boxycharm! And to know I was hesitant with choice is the scary part. Since receiving this cleanser, I have purchased it 3 times. It was later that I found out about drop shop so I get it crazy cheap. I had no problem going to Sephora and ordering with the higher price tag though, and found out they didn't carry in the store near me which was a bummer but I would make sure I would order before running out the next time. Yes, it is that good!!! I have struggled finding a go-to cleanser fir the past couple years. So many choices and I have found some decent ones but none that I really loved. I’ve been on the lookout for a good cleanser that won’t entirely strip out my natural oils, and leave me with this super tight feeling. I have tried popular cleansers that people would rave about but it was no match for my dry skin. It would always leave me with this squeaky,tight clean feeling. Sometimes it would leave me with flaky skin due to its strong cleansing agents. I purchased the Goat Milk cleanser hoping that it would repair my skin barrier. On the first use I was surprised at how supple it left my skin. It has this nice velvety texture that leaves the skin moisturized and hydrated. No tight skin feeling. No flaky skin. Just clean and moisturized skin. Most importantly it does not leave any redness on my skin! I have extremely sensitive skin which makes it hard to find a good cleanser that won’t irritate my skin. Once I switched to this cleanser I started to notice the redness disappear from my previous cleanser. I highly recommend this product if you suffer from very dry, sensitive skin! 🐐This gentle cream cleanser is really niceI purchased this product and have been dying to use it. I finally got to open it up a couple weeks ago, and I’ve been loving it. This claims to be formulated to to cleanse and soothe without tightness or irritation, it’s a non foaming cleanser. After 2 weeks of use, in some cold, dry weather, my combination skin feels great. No dryness, or tightness after cleansing at all. I bought this cleanser with a few other Sanitas products and this is, by far, the best cleanser I've ever tried. I've been on the hunt for a good cleanser that fits all of my needs. I wanted a good cleanser for my extremely sensitive skin, but most products I've tried that are made for sensitive skin don't clean my skin as much as I need, since I am acne-prone as well. This cleanser doesn't irritate very much. It does have lactic acid, so a very slight sting was expected. It's nothing overwelming and it doesn't leave my face looking like an irritated tomato. My skin is calm, clear, and softer than it has been in years. I will definitely continue to use this cleanser- it's my favorite!Stephanie

The cleanser is nice and gentle, two pumps provides enough product to cleanse your face. I had no tight feeling or irritation from using this. Has a nice grapefruit scent (not overwhelming). Pump dispenses as a foam. My only complaint is the pump itself. It works fine, but I find I have to lift and tilt the bottle in order for it to go into my hand. When I just tried it sitting on my counter, it kind of went into my hand and on the bottle. Aside from that, I really like this cleanser.Anonymous

I have extremely sensitive dry combination skin, this is by far my favorite cleanser. I often get bad reactions to a lot of facial products but this product has never given me any problems. This is a watery gel cleanser that does produce some foam, it cleans very well but does not leave a tight or dry feeling at all. I have previously tried the Sanitas Lemon Cream Cleanser, though the texture of that one is more creamy, I found that it left my skin more dry. I use this with the sensitive skin moisturizer from the same line and my skin has been less reactive and calm. I will definitely be repurchasing this cleanserAnonymous

I have an annoyingly flaky beard and this is the BEST product to get it under control. It's a bit pricey but I only need to use it when things get a bit out of control and a small amount goes a long, long way. I think I buy 1 bottle a year now that I manage my skin/beard a bit more closely. I am an AA man w/ combo/ normal (winter/ fall) and combo/oily (spring/summer) skin. The constant issue for me has been finding a product that cleanses my skin without stripping it. I have tried all the fads. I’ve even tried oil cleansing – which offers quite the paradox. Cleansing oily skin with ‘sounds’ crazy but it actually works quite well (if done in moderation). As this is NOT a daily cleansing system that works for MY skin, I was constantly on the hunt. Then I remembered Aesop which I used many many moons ago. I always loved the clean aesthetic behind their methodology along with using as little, if any, synthetic additives to their products. Now I have been playing around with products over the years so I have a pretty good grasp on what my skin likes/ doesn’t like. When I came across this product, what caught me was the name, ’In Two Minds’. This immediately suggested that there was a ‘variation’ of some sort in this product. A gentle gel-based formulation that cleanses thoroughly without drying the skin or stripping its natural oils. Upon reading it, I saw that TWO essential products that work best for my combo skin are 1) salicylic acid and 2) witch hazel. Then there was the sage component. I knew from my readings that Sage is chock full of antioxidants which can help reverse the signs of aging. It helps with wrinkles and fine lines. The anti-inflammatory properties of sage work wonders against stubborn acne. Other inflammatory skin blemishes, such as eczema and psoriasis, can also benefit from the use of sage. Regarding oily skin, sage is a great toner since it helps regulate sebum production. All this TOGETHER in ONE product had me sold. I had to try this. I am so happy I did. My skin hasn’t looked this good/even since I was much younger (in 20’s/early 30’s). My skin absolutely LOVES this product. The smell is herbaceous and clean. This product does NOT have surfactants in it so it does not ‘lather’ the way a typical cleanser would (which is actually a marketing ploy, btw…), but it is gently getting the job done. I understand this is meant to be a gentle product but it's gentle to the point of being rendered ineffective in my opinion. It feels (and works) more like straight up lotion than a cleanser. Yes it's moisturizing but I didn't feel or see that it effectively cleansed my face at all. If you're going to use it I'd suggest using a makeup remover first at the very least – honestly even with that additional step added you may need another product to completely remove all traces of product/oil/dirt.KJ

I've had this product for 4 months and have been using it to double cleanse but I find that it doesn't do much cleansing. I wear a light amount of foundation and after using this product to remove makeup, I still have foundation showing up on cotton pads. I've used cheaper makeup removing cleansers and they work way more efficiently with less than half the price. As for skin concerns, I have a lot of acne and it didn't make a difference. I have oily skin with acne, but but very sensitive and reactive. After trying a lot of cleansers, this have been the one that finally works!!! Even thought is directed to dry skins, it has works miracles in my skin, and I haven't had any more irritations as with other cleansers. I have combine this cleanser with the Micellar water (before the cleanser to get out the make up), and after the cleanser: the Clearance serum in the morning for the acne, and the Triacneal (PM), always finishing with Tolerance cream on both times for hydratation. My go to face wash is always the Pacifica Sea Foam wash. It's my tried and true. I even have my husband use the Kale Detox wash for his oily skin. But I saw this and thought I would try it, because I love Coconut and Vanilla scents. And ya know, a girl likes to try new things by their favorite brand. I usually don't like cream face washes because they don't bubble. I NEED bubbles. I saw that this was cream to foam so I thought it would be ok. At first I just rubbed it on my face and it kinda felt like lotion smearing around, but it was ok. The next day I lathered it up in my hands first to create the bubbles and it was much better to do that. So if you like bubbles like me, just foam it up in your hand first. Now to the scent. It it VERY mild. It has NO coconut scent (at least in my opinion) and barely any vanilla scent. Scent at all is basically non-existent. If you use your imagination and breathe deeply, it smells very faintly of angel food cake (where the vanilla comes into play..sort of) but for the most part, my sniffer says no dice on scent. It is disappointing because coconut and vanilla can be such lovely scents, but if you're expecting a very fragrant wash, that is not the case. But despite that, I really like it. Sea Foam will always be my #1, but this will be my new #2. I like it that much despite the scent and bubble underperformance.Buffy711

This creamy cleanser is my holy grail as I've repurchased it a countless number of times. It is extremely well at cleansing and removing makeup without stripping the skin. The formula feels so high-end and the tube lasts quite a while. The last time I purchased it, the product would not squeeze out of the tube. It was so frustrating that I threw it away. this is literally the PERFECT face wash for me. i have extremely dry and irritable skin and have had trouble with cleansers for a long time. pretty much all cleansers are too drying on my skin, or if they're marketed as hydrating, they don't actually clean my face or remove my makeup completely. i love the texture of this cleanser, and the smell is absolutely amazing! to me it smells less like coconuts and more like vanilla. i was pretty worried when i first tried this about 3 years ago because i've had terrible reactions to coconut in skincare before, but i think the biggest difference is that it's coconut milk, not coconut oil. the only negative i have is that they recently reformulated, and although it performs the same, it's now extremely shimmery and the texture is less creamy than i would like. i hoped that the bottle i bought about 3 months ago was old or defective, but i just repurchased it and the shimmer and texture is the same. wish pacifica would at least omit the shimmer because it's completely unnecessary. otherwise, this is my all time favorite cleanser and i can't see myself using anything elseliz

I bought this product on a whim because I needed a gentle facial cleanser to use interchangeably with the exfoliating one I use. I am always worried to try new products on my skin because it is so sensitive, so it really was a risk for me to buy this. Not only do I use this everyday now, but it has altogether replaced the cleanser I had used for ten years until now. It is so gentle on my skin, and leaves it looking hydrated and clear, with little of its usual redness. I've even seen a decline in acne and problem spots. I love how simple this is to use, I just apply it to my skin and take it off with a warm/damp wash cloth. No splashing water. It takes off ALL of my makeup, even with UD All-Nighter and waterproof eye makeup. (When I have on heavy/event makeup, I will apply it twice, once to get the make up off and a second to make sure that I actually cleaned my skin and make sure all the makeup actually came off, just to be safe) Seriously I cannot say enough good things about this product, it is amazing.MadzzCee

This cleanser is the best I have ever used. Honestly deserves an award! Very soft and gentle with my skin. I consider it, one of my must-have products and I love it. My skin is normal to combination and this cleanser removes makeup without leaving your face greasy. My skin does really well with anything having to do with the sea; seaweed, red algae, dead sea minerals etc. I have a theory that this has to do with the fact that I'm a water sign ♏🦂. So for instance, some one with an earth sign would do well with mud masks, oats, clay products etc. Just a silly little tidbit for you, LOL 😄 I absolutely love this product. I bought this product because it advertises as being safe for sensitive and dry skin. As one review states, it is very much meant to be a first step cleanser in your double cleansing routine because it is oil-based. While using it, it feels nice and "milky" but I felt like it was being absorbed into my skin while I was spreading it, and I found I needed more product than I initially believed (5-8 pumps versus the typical 2-3 I normally would use with any other oil based cleanser). The product doesn't emulsify in any sense of the word, it kind of just disappears when you add water, so it is difficult to tell if you've washed it off until you use your second cleanser. Thus, when you do wash it off, it can feel like there is a weird film on your skin if not washed off properly. However, it does leave my skin feeling nice and moisturizing afterwards, which is something I liked. I didn't notice it break me out, but my face was noticeably brighter and softer the next day after using the cleansing milk. Considering my skin reacts to basically everything and it did not with this product, I'd say give it a go if your skin is also like mine (sometimes water makes it too sensitive, go me~) and you don't mind using a lot of product that disappears in water. I use this cleanser every night with just two pumps. This product really helps to remove my minimal makeup and stacks of sunscreen without making my skin feel stripped or feel tight. I use this together with Solved Skincare's Coconut Water Cleansing Foam and my skin is clear from any dirt, sebum, and the stuff I wear during the daytime. Even though this product has bergamot fruit oil, the smell is not noticeable at all for me, but I would be cautious for those who are sensitive to essential oils. From what I remember about cleansing milk cleansers, they do not need to be emulsified so I don't expect them to act like the typical oil-based cleansers, but still get the job done well. I use this as a first step cleanser to remove makeup and it's wonderful! I have had issues in the past where cleansers irritate or dry out my skin and I don't have that issue at all. I also have issues with makeup removers when it comes to eye makeup. I love using the product as it's super gentle and doesn't ever get into my eyes. I have loved this cleanser and I love REN (I use a lot of their products). I use this as part of a double cleanse with the balm and my sensitive skin is happy. No drying out and no sensitivity. Both hard for me to find in a cleanser. However recently I purchased the squeeze bottle (directly through REN). I am beyond bummed as I had previously used the pump. The bottle has too big of a hole and each time I squeeze a glob worth at least five face washes comes out. I’m wasting so much product. Quite honestly I can’t see myself continuing with this cleanser when I am paying this price and wasting this much. I have thought about moving it to another bottle but that is a lot of work for something I’m already putting a lot of money into. I’m a skincare junkie and cleansers are my favorite face product. So much so that I have at least 6 opened cleansers that are in my current rotation. I would say that in the category of gentle cleansers, this ranks at the top! It doesnt have a strong scent, it smells the way non-fragranced cleansers smell but with a slight touch of something…..grapes maybe? It goes away pretty quickly whatever it is. If you're a fan of cleansers that don't foam up a lot, you'll love this one. While it does have a pretty strong lather, it doesnt get foamy or soapy when added with water. It has a really nice, soft, gel texture that's really mild and pleasant to use. I strongly dislike cleansers that get too sudsy so this one was perfect for me. And since it doesnt get too sudsy, it doesnt dry out your skin. The ultimate test for me is if I wash my face and don't put on face moisturizer for like 30 mins or so. During all that time, my face did not tighten up or feel dry at all! For context, I have oily acne prone skin. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it's not great at removing heavy makeup. I would recommend removing makeup first with a cleansing balm or oil, then followup with this as the second part to your double cleanse. I would recommend this gentle cleanser for all skin types but especially those with sensitive skin. The full size version is 5oz so this will last me for several months. I have extremely dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin. Winter is my skins worst nightmare. In order to use harsher products like retinol for anti aging I have to balance it out with more gentler things. This cleanser changed my life. The texture and softness of my skin after washing is sort of not believable. Usually my face tightens up and feels so dry after washing that I have to rush through my skincare process to relieve it. I will never ever ever use another face wash again. This is it. This entire brand changed my skin for the better. I’ve never had such soft and smooth skin. I like washing my face with this, and I don’t even mind the smell because I have sensitive skin that tends to sting whenever I use cleansers with fragrance or lavender in the ingredients. I think if Versed added maybe a touch more banana extract and advertised more about the banana extract, (I say this because the scent I detect is just faint banana,) then I think consumers wouldn’t complain as often about the smell if they’re anticipating it. I gave 3 stars because I don’t like the pump. The cleanser dries, hardens, and darkens inside the tip of the pump, so it just doesn’t make sense for maintaining the quality of the product. It also breaks off easily. If they just turned it into a cap like their gel cleanser, then it would probably be just fine and they could advertise how getting rid of the pump uses less plastic since pumps are not recyclable.ArchieMil

Smells like a colloidal oatmeal bath only not as good. I appreciate what they’re trying to do by leaving it unscented but the non scent is starting to make me queasy. I also hate that it never seems to make my skin feel clean. I get that they’re trying not to strip your face of all oils but this leaves my skin feeling dirtier and oilier and even my oil cleansing balm feels like it washes off more cleanly than this cleanser. I usu love versed products so this was the first fail. It’s been called a dupe of glossier milky jelly cleanser but I would have to disagree. Not similar at all in texture or efficacy. This also made me start breaking out along my nose and chin and between my brows and I’m 33 for reference. I am pretty sure it’s bc it doesn’t wash off cleanly. The pump also sucks. Doesn’t really come up high enough to get a good pump. Cute packaging though.cline

This cleanser is great to use on the face with or without makeup. You can double cleanse with it too. I use a separate bifacil eye makeup remover as I am not keen in getting cream products near my sensitive eyes. It has a mild scent but I prefer this one for made for dry skin over the other milk cleanser they have even though I am oilier and suffer from mature skin breakouts still.Carolyn H

This is one of the best cleansers and makeup removes I've found. I usually use the Lancome comfort face wash with the pink lettering(can't remember the name), but decided to switch to this since it's much larger(though the small one of the other normally lasts me almost a year). My skin is prone to dryness,flaking,and irritation, especially as the colder months roll around. I use this at night as a makeup remover and cleanser and ot noticeably shrinks my pores and makes my skin silky smooth,soft,and hydrated. I of course still use toner and moisturizer afterwards, but I no longer need to wear a daily moisturizing mask or heavy cream to bed. I wake up still with smooth, clean and clear looking skin. I have sensitive skin and this is non-irritating; it's actually soothing. In the AM I use Hada Labo Gokujyun cream cleanser which feels very nice, but I love this so much that I'm considering fully switching over for winter. Definitely recommend for dry,sensitive,flaky,cold- irritated, or mature skin. It has a scent(almondy), but it isn't very strong. Cleans well without stripping oils, feels like lotion, great gentle makeup remover and cleanser.Alicia

Tried this product years ago it helped heal and comfort dry skin with upcoming winter season! Worked with first application. I use as cleanser morning and night. I message and wipe face clean with warm soft washcloth!! Feels like a spa treatment! Looking for recommendations for lightweight facial lotion to apply after! I love Ursa Major products, but this one is exceptional. I was on the fence because I’m always unsure about a milky cleanser and then I was also unsure about what it would smell like. Their other face wash smells amazing but the scent is quite strong. This one is absolutely perfect for me. It is gentle yet cleans my face and makeup right off. There is absolutely no sudsing so if you’re looking for that, this is the wrong product for you. I don’t mind it not sudsing and truly LOVE the smell. It is not strong but is a clean and cozy smell. I have been ordering Ursa Major products for years and I love all of them… except this cleanser. I found the residue left on my face and the scent off-putting. It doesn’t feel as if it cleaned anything off my face and actually feels like I just rubbed lotion on it and called it clean. I offered this cleanser to my sister and she used it and wasn’t interested in taking it off my hands. I will continue purchasing other items such as the original facial cleanser and shampoo for my everyday use, but this is the first product I wish I hadn’t purchased and wish I could get my money back.Emily C.

I'm over 65 and have always had issues with my dry, sensitive skin. Since there was really nothing much on the market, or really any information regarding this issue, when I was growing up, I caused some damage. I realize now that much of my breakouts were from sensitivity and dryness, and as I reached over 40 years, I began to notice changes every decade which caused me to have to search for and change the products I was using. I am so so glad to have found this cleanser – it is so soothing, cleans well without stripping my skin or causing rashes or breakouts, and has a pleasant lightly floral -herbal scent that I love.Janice L.

There are some things I like about this cleanser, but I will not reorder. If I do not have makeup on, I think it cleans well on bare skin. It does not do a good job of removing foundation or any eye makeup and it burns my eyes. I like that it doesn't have a scent and doesn't require much more than two pumps of product. My skin does not feel hydrated and feels a bit tight after cleansing. The bottle states it calms the skin and cleans pores which might explain why my skin is red, blotchy and itchy. I was using this Argan Niaminacide cleanser and Purity Made Simple when I wear makeup. I do not know which one I was allergic to but currently my face is broken out, blotchy, red and itchy. It's possible I'm allergic to the Niaminacide in this product. Or Purity has changed their product ingredients. For now, I will just use goat milk soap until my skin calms down.Dry and Itchy

OMG this is finally my dreamboat cleanser. I love Josie's oil one and the pineapple one, but this one is so pillowy and comforting, so soft and gentle and moisturizing. It never hurts my eyes and feels like a soft self care spa moment. I have looked for years for a nurturing cleanser like this one. Sometimes in the shower I will use one of Josie's other face cleansers, and then I will use this one and leave it on during my shower to get more moisture. I love this! xoJenny A.

I love this cleanser! It's the only thing I've found that works miracles on my oily, combination skin. It quickly removes makeup and gently cleans my face. I had really high hopes for this cleanser as I have delicate, dehydrated skin. After using only at night for several weeks my skin became more dry, red, and would burn. I am really enjoying this serum oil combo. I do not have severely dry skin. But I purchased this specifically for the winter. I love this make my face feel. I use this after my essence and before my moisturizer. Is this pricey yes. But for me it is working. My face stays moisturized even in the coldest weather. There is a scent but it is subtle.selena.h

I bought this mascara as I needed something waterproof to last through snowfall. It worked okay but it wasn’t anything amazing. The formula felt half dried out right from when I first opened the tube, and became completely dried out within about a month and a half. I ended up replacing this mascara with a drug store waterproof mascara that cost half the price and works much better. The brush is nice and created nice shape when the mascara was less dried out, but that’s the only redeeming quality I can name. I wouldn’t recommend this mascara.meganheartyou

People are totally misunderstanding this mascara. For frame of reference, my current favorite mascaras are the original Diorshow, the Milk Kush and Maybelline Full and Soft. The Maybelline mascara is incredibly underrated: the definition is dark and it leaves you with soft, dark daytime lashes. It is my go to for every day. The Milk mascara is pretty amazing: lots of volume and definition, and as a bonus it is SUPER easy to remove. I was hesitant to try the Dior pump n’ volume mascara because as much as I love the original Diorshow, I hate the fact that after two weeks the formula is dried out and just doesn’t apply or look the same. I have stopped investing in it for that reason. I got the pump n volume mascara as a sample and it definitely has a learning curve. It is true that this mascara does appear to “clump”…. but it doesn’t clump in the stereotypical bad mascara way. It’s very hard to explain…. I don’t know if it’s the formula, the brush, or a combination of the two. The brush is not the dense bushy brush that I usually love. But there is something about the way this mascara applies, and about the formula: it gives my lashes tons of lift that stays all day until I remove it. And while it does appear to “clump”, the final result is visually appealing instead of gloppy and messy looking… very much like a subtle false lash affect. I got no smudging, fall out, or flaking from this mascara. And lastly, it comes off like a dream with standard micellar water. TIP: do NOT use the usual ‘place at the lash root and wiggle to the tips’ application- it promotes the clumps. Use a straight, light handed and swift stroke. The only thing that remains to be seen, is whether or not the quality of the product holds up over time. UPDATE: over a month later and I’m still in love!!lisa.w

To begin with, I'd like to tell you that my skin is combination, with the first signs of aging (I'm 31 years old), I'm a woman, and I don't have acne problems. In my opinion, this gel is gentle enough to use both day and night. One of the things that caught my attention is that, although it is called a foaming gel, it does not foam very much. The texture is very light, the liquid is transparent in color and completely odorless of any kind. I don't apply it directly to the eyes, but if a little product gets in, it doesn't cause irritation. It is much smoother than I expected. This CeraVe cleanser compared to others, such as Bioderma, I find it much softer. I wonder how effective it will be for really oily skin. When using it I notice that it does not leave my skin completely tight, as it happens with other gels. One of the benefits of this CeraVe Foaming Cleansing Gel is that it is also suitable for use on the body. And for the price it has, there is nothing wrong with using a greater amount of product. I like this because if necessary, I can take a single product with me on the trip and I can use it for both the face and the body. Or, for example, if I don't want to carry a lot of products in my gym bag. In general, it seems to me a fairly soft gel, considering that it is for oily and combination skin. It fulfills its function and does not give me any type of reaction. But, as I say, I don't know to what extent it works for younger skin or true oil or shine problems on the face. Anyway, I hope that my opinion about the CeraVe foaming cleansing gel has helped you a little to decide if you are considering buying the product.gabriela.g

This is my holy grail! Honestly I have tried just about everything including luxury cleansers and I will always come back to this one. Its is fragrance free so many people that hate scents in their beauty/skincare products you definitely need to take a look or a leap of faith with this cleanser (any of the Cerave cleansers). Im going to try my best to explain the feel of this so bare with me.. its not a gel nor a foam, think more of a jelly constancy and when it meets your face it feels like a wet cloud hugging you, in all the right ways… Its never ever stripping on me, my daughter or anyone ive recommend this too. My daughter uses the SA cleanser from Cerave and my mom uses this version but in the foam and they both meet their needs.I really like this cleanser because in the morning I really feel like it helps plump before i layer my serums. I use this at night and leaves my face clean and supple however this will not be able to get off waterproof mascara. If i wear waterproof mascara i will go in with micellar water or a oil cleaner then my Cerave. This cleanser will get a full face off and it gets my mascara off just fine if im not using a waterproof mascara. I dont mine though. I have never heard of anyone complaining that this is stripping or drying. Cerave as a whole is amazing and the reason its a holy grail for everybody is because its simple,.simple in a good way. The ingredients are straight to the point meaning everything your skin needs and loves and nothing more. Sometimes drying a new product ruins my skin barrier or the winter months leave me dry and i know that i can go back to my Cerave products to get my skin repaired, healthy and glowing again. Another reason I love this is because it's actually dermatologist used, approved and recommend which means alot . If you have not tried this cleansers you need too. Just the price point alone is incredible because you really get a bang for your buck. Cerave got it right. I hope this helps everyone.erika .l

I read the reviews for this after I bought it and was kinda scared it would break me out. Turns out my fears were unfounded. My skin is fairly sensitive and I'm prone to ingrown hairs. Of course, YMMV, but this stuff has been working wonders for my skin, and I use it right after shaving when my skin is most sensitive. I'm not sure if the other reviewers received a bad batch, left the product on too long, or had an allergic reaction to a component within, but I have had zero issues and have nothing but good things to say about this stuff. To be on the safe side, I moisturize heavily and apply an alcohol-free aftershave as soon as I finish washing my face. I have to use a mixture of Vaseline with cocoa and either Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave, Lime skin food, and/or Proraso Azure Lime aftershave balm. The results speak for themselves. Using just Vaseline leaves my skin greasy, and using just an aftershave leaves my skin dry. I highly recommend Uncle Jon's Lime Up aftershave to use in conjunction with this, especially if you use this after you shave.ai.h
