I used to only wear mineral foundation and wore this for my wedding. I had terrible acne and found this to be one of the best mineral foundations and ingredients for my skin. I wear it over a cream or liquid foundation as more of a setting powder and for extra coverage than just the liquid or powder foundation alone. As I am near 40 now, I use powder foundations less as I find powders tend to crease under my eye fine lines and wrinkles a little more. If thatâs the case try to set the concealer with the Youngblood setting powder and keep the loose foundation powder away from under the eyes. Warm up the concealer with your finger tips first also. I work in and out of the kitchen. And this product is amazing as it doesn't clog my pores or cause outbreaks. It's buildbable in areas where you need it or where it all over. No fragrance no skin irrations. A little goes a long way and the product last me for at least 3mths. I would recommend using a setting spray after application to make it last longer. Claims: Improves skin texture – I dont know if I would necessarily say it improves texture but it doesn't emphasize or cause my skin to look more texture than it is. Reduce look of pores – I actually think this is pretty accurate. I didnt find that my skin looked like I had visible pores, TAKE THAT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT I tend to only have noticble pores around my nose and on my nose. And my pores are not pronounced. Reduce visible redness – I would expect that of literally any foundation. I think this claim is kind of a no duh kind of statement. I wouldn't expect a foundation to NOT reduce visible redness, so I dont get the idea that this is revolutionary. Application: They recommend finger application, which i tend to hate but only because I don't like using my fingers to apply any product. If using a brush make sure your brush is clean and go over with tapping motions or you will see streaks. My preferred method is the sponge, the coverage goes down, but the finish is honestly incomparable. Coverage: Medium coverage (dosagree) I think this is a more light coverage foundation at best, especially if you use a sponge (which honestly looks the best on the skin). Its buildable though and you can mix this with other foundations to get a fuller coverage. WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU This foundation plays EXTREMELY well with others, meaning, I had no issue cocktailing and mixing foundations and other products to make this an even more enjoyable experience for myself. I tried this foundation out for a (small, socially distanced) gathering with friends this weekend and I do really like it! I mixed it with a bit of tinted moisturizer and primer and it blended really well with a beautyblender. It applied about medium coverage and could be built up to more full coverage. I did need a little concealer under my eyes to cover dark circles, but I'm not totally surprised as this is not billed as a full coverage foundation. I set this with Laura Mercier powder and applied the rest of my makeup. I wore it for 8-10 hours total and by the time I took it off, it was still in really great shape on most of my face. The only problem areas were my undereyes and my nose. My undereyes were noticeably creased, but I can't blame that entirely on the foundation as I used concealer too. I wore a mask to the gathering and I was blowing my nose a lot due to allergies, and the foundation was mostly rubbed off my nose by the end of the night BUT it did so in a way that didn't look awkward or obvious, it just kind of faded from no foundation to foundation which was nice. I would definitely use this again but I'm not sure I'd repurchase it. The coverage was nice and the wear time was very good. The color match is almost perfect which was impressive, it's just a bit lighter in color than I'd typically use. I don't love that this rubbed off my nose so much and I do think the mineral texture made this a little drier and cakier than I'm really comfortable with. If you can zoom in on the picture, you'll see lots of visible pores around my cheeks and nose and cakiness around my forehead and chin. It took some trial and error to learn how to best apply this but now that I have Iâm really enjoying this foundation. Itâs lightweight yet gives enough coverage to cover any redness and even out skin tone. Itâs definitely more of a light to medium coverage foundation which I prefer. I have combination skin that leans more dry in the winter and oily in the summer. Right now my skin is on the drier side due to the cold winter weather. When I first applied this with a beauty blender which is my go to application method I did not like it. It clung to the dry patches on my skin and just looked really patchy. I tried it with a brush which was a little bit better but still kind of patchy. I found the best way to apply is with your fingers. When doing it this way it gives a beautiful smooth finish. I normally donât like to apply with my fingers because itâs messy but itâs a must with this foundation. It comes out very thin almost watery so make sure you apply it quickly once itâs on your face. Itâs important that you hydrate well and use primer when applying this foundation. I received the shade light beige 09 and when I first saw it in the bottle I didnât think it would match because it looked a little on the orange side but once I applied it I found that it actually matched pretty well. I have light skin with neutral undertones that lean more on the cool side. I really enjoyed the pump and that you were able to close it which makes it easy and convenient for traveling. I have used this for since it came out and use the #10 color. It's so light feeling, you won't even know your wearing anything. It does not cake or 'gather in any fine lines'. It softly evens out skin tone without looking like your wearing make-up and somehow manages nice coverage. I'm 52 with very minor lines around my eyes, oily skin and live in SoFla. My skin tends to drink make up in. This powder will generally go about 7hrs until a refresh. I use a small kabuki brush to apply instead of what comes with it, though that brush works well with blushes. When the amount powder is getting low, I take the little plastic tray out to get the remaining powder. Also, when the container is empty, I wash it out. I wasn't sure about this as I've been using BareMinerals for so long but this seemed like a comparable product. After using it for a while I do like the product but the coverage is SHEER. If you need full coverage you might not like the product. I've also noticed that there is a bit of sheen to it which for me acts like a little highlight on the high points on my face – very subtle though. For the days I need full coverage I either use the BareMinerals (or mix the two) and for the rest of the time I just use the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers. I get some flexibility and lower makeup costs overall. I haven't noticed any breakouts and it leaves my face soft – I have combo skin and didn't notice any issues with oiliness over the course of the day. Contains SOY!!! If you have allergies or sensitivities do not buy this product. It made my skin break out. I checked the listed ingredients on this product and it did not reveal that it contained soy. The only way I found out was when I used it and my skin broke out and a noticed the label can be peeled back and behold a whole list of other ingredients. I was a long time user of Bare Minerals, but their lightest shade was always too dark for my skin. I switched to Dermaflage and their lightest shade (porcelain) was almost a perfect match. However, Dermaflage is a hard brand to find and I wanted to branch out in case one day it's no longer available. I was disappointed when it really got down to it how few powder foundations with spf were available, let alone with a good shade selection, and good ingredients. I have pale, extremely sensitive, acne prone skin. I'm so glad I decided to try this foundation finally (I'd had my eye on it for awhile). Shade Ivory is lighter than both Bare Minerals' lightest shade and Dermaflage's! Also this foundation wears better than both I'd tried previously. I've had zero issues with the coordinating case for this makeup. Yes, it's just a cheap plastic case, but it opens and shuts just fine. This looks SO sparkly in the pan so I admit I was nervous to put it on my face. This is one of the most flattering âsun kissedâ type of natural blush I have honestly ever used. It blends so easily and is super pigmented, but easy to blend out if you get too much. The glimmer in the pan looks completely different than on your cheeks. On your cheeks it gives you a soft dewy glow that looks like a very natural highlight without looking like glitter. I've been using Bare Minerals for about 6 years. I've found over time that It only works well with the Bare Minerals Primer and the Urban Decay All Nighter Primer. Both pretty costly but I think the UD one is more bang for your buck. I notice that my acne heals up when I don't wear it for extended periods, (when I've had to quarantine is when I bag to notice). Before then, I just thought it was my skin. I've tried countless products but didn't realize it was the makeup I was using to cover up that acne. Asides for that, this stuff does not last throughout the day, I almost always end up touching it up on my lunch break. And I get splotchy oily spots on my nose causing more breakouts. It also doesn't last long, not only day to day but the life of the product is short. I go through one of these in a few months. That means I'm spending about $160 a year on foundation.. a friend of mine said her foundation is a little expensive, ($42, so about the same price) but lasts her a whole year. I would MUCH RATHER spend $42 for a whole year and not deal with excessive breakouts, splotchy coverage, and short-lasting foundation. All in all, I've done the research and I am telling you don't waste $100s of dollars on this product, or any of the Bare Minerals foundations for that matter, because I've literally tried all them and I'm still giving it a 1/5.Maddie
I tried this for the first time in 2018 in the matte formula after having it recommended to me by a Sephora employee. Mind you, this was before I managed to get my skin mostly clear and fade my acne scars, so I was very desperate for a foundation I could build up for coverage while trying to keep my skin looking as natural as possible, all while hoping and praying this one wouldn't break out my very acne-prone lupus face any worse than it already was. Here's what the issue was that made me hate it the first time – you know that little face-scanner thing they have at Sephora that's supposed to identify your perfect foundation shade? Well, I suspect what probably happened was the employee matched my foundation to my acne scars/hyperpigmentation, which is obviously NOT ideal, so after wearing my first suggested shade (Fairly Medium 05) a few times and having a friend comment on how orange my face looked in comparison to my neck, I just completely gave up on this foundation. FLASH FORWARD – I've mostly cleared up my face due to a careful skincare regimen, and the texture has improved drastically. Still, because of my lupus, I would regularly find myself super frustrated with how red and blotchy my face looked. I do love the Dr. Jart's Tiger Grass corrective treatment, but if I wore it every day for a few days in a row, it'd irritate the dry parts of my combination skin and I'd peel. This foundation? LOVE IT. Got myself shade-tested again and apparently I'm the LIGHTEST shade – big difference between shade 01 and 05. Looks super natural and I love the way it can be built-up from no-makeup makeup to full-face for date nights. So seamless and doesn't look powdery or cakey at all. Best part – unlike basically every other foundation I've ever tried, IT DOESN'T MAKE ME BREAK OUT OR IRRITATE MY LUPUS RASH!! Gives me so much confidence with how radiant and natural my skin looks day to day without worrying about whether I'll regret wearing foundation the next day. TRY IT! đgenstunkard
This was not it for me. I was initially hesitant to buy it because Iâm not a loose powder kind of person – Iâm scared Iâll easily have a powder explosion and didnât want to bother with that. But letâs face it, the reviews here are soo good that I had to try it for the hype. First off, I tried this powder a decent number of times with various buffing brushes. The problem is the whole application process just isnât worth the results imo. If I need coverage, I would have to swirl tap and buff a number of times to get the desired effect, because if I use too much at once, it looks powdery. Also, even at âfull coverageâ, this is at most the same as only one thin layer of a liquid product. So while itâs not bad, I just donât think itâs worth it when I can easily achieve a similar and better result with other products with a much easier application process.ylrehs

I've been using youngblood for years. It is by far the best liquid foundation out there. I used to use bareminerals, and I love that product too, I think it's great, but I wanted to stop using brushes. I'm not good at cleaning them frequently and I thought that the brushes might have been contributing to my breakouts. I'll say that since using the youngblood liquid mineral foundation my skin has been a lot better, I think other changes I've made have contributed too but I do think it has been beneficial for my skin to stop using dirty brushes to apply my makeup. I apply it with my fingertips like lotion. Their primer is really great too. super silky. but it goes on great without it. I love that it is so light. you don't feel like you are wearing makeup at all. I've always hated makeup that feels cakey⊠or makeup that you can feel that you are wearing at all. I set this with a little bit of compressed powder too – you don't need much though. I religiously wash my face before I go to bed, but occasionally I'm to tired, and don't and I don't feel guilty for not washing my face because this stuff is actually good for your skin and it won't kill you to sleep through the night with it on. The color is great. I'm fair skin, I use pebble, but sometimes I spray tan or use a self tanning lotion, so I mix golden tan and pebble together. It is pricey (normally $49 but you can find great deals on Home Essentials Direct) but it lasts sooo long. it lasts me at least 6 months. love this stuff so much, can't say enough good things about it.K.H.
I never heard of YB before until I saw it on YouTube. I am a makeup junkie, particularly with foundation. I am 45 years old, and make up doesnât go on as easily as it once did. I own over 35 different foundations, all higher end, in search of the 20 year old look I have been going for, lol. (I donât think I will find it). HOWEVER, this liquid minerals foundation is my favorite! I am a true medium with neutral undertones. I bought Golden Tan, and it was perfect for me. I also had a sample of sunkissed which also worked just as well. I have dry skin, so I donât like a full matte foundation on me. I could actually stop looking if I wanted to, but I love makeup too much to stop. I will absolutely order this foundation again when I do run out. I canât say that for any other foundation I own. I love this PUR pressed mineral powder so much omg. I received the shade Sand TN3 and I was so afraid it was going to be too light for me but it ended up looking perfect on my skin. I applied this on top of a dewy primer after letting that set some. I applied this powder with a flat kabuki brush and followed the box by applying the powder in circular motion all over my face. I did light pat some product under my eyes on top of the PUR PushUp concealer to not move the concealer and I love the end result of the powder. I usually add setting spray but I didnât think I really needed to with this powder it settled on my skin and mixed nicely with my blush and a little contour I added to my face as well. Everything meshed perfect and my whole face looked flawless for hours. I did use setting spray only because I have oily skin and it still looked beautiful. I love that this powder has SPF but not sure if it has flash back. From the pics I took the color didnât change much in my opinion. I love the packaging of this. I will definitely repurchase this product and really recommend everyone trying it out.anna.t
I recently tried the Pur 4-in-1 mineral makeup. This product combines 4 products in one — foundation, concealer, powder and SPF. I do appreciate that the product has SPF and any extra protection is great to see in products, however I would use SPF lotion underneath this product as well. The product did not smell like sunscreen at at all, which was great! This product is described as a medium, buildable coverage with a natural finish. I found that the natural finish is accurate, as is the medium coverage. I used a brush to apply. Personally, when I tried to build the product up, it started to look cakey on my skin. I do not fault the product for this, I just think for someone like me with redness from rosacea or blemishes, I need a product with more coverage. When applied lightly, I think it has a more nautral look. Overall, I did like the formula and would use it again, but as a complement to a liquid foundation. For those who do not need as full coverage, this product would be great on its own. I also appreciate that this product was made without harmful ingredients and without fragrance. I would seek this product out again and would recommend it to others looking for a medium coverage powder foundation or those seeking additional coverage over a liquid foundation.kristen.b
I received this in exchange for a review and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I really like it. I am used to using liquid foundation and have only tried a few powder foundations but in the past, I never liked them. This one was definitely different. Some days I don't feel like going through the whole process with liquid foundation…primer, foundation, setting powder and then setting spray. It's very time consuming and some days I would just love to sleep an extra 30 minutes. But, I have had to for many years in order to make myself feel good and presentable for work. Not anymore! I think I have finally found a powder foundation that I am happy with. I use it with a big kabuki brush and swirling motions to apply. It looks flawless and beautiful! I did find out that you want to give a few minutes to allow any moisturizer or serums to dry before applying though. After application, I will spray with a setting spray and it looks beautiful. Had caused no breakouts and I am not entirely sure that this makes me glow but it seems me bare skin looks amazing since I have started using this powder. Highly recommend! Was not crazy about this. I have dry/combination skin, because I use retin-A. So I have some sports that are more oily and others that are dry/flaky. This didnât address either one. It also had a very orange tint, despite using the fair/cool color. The package is a little difficult to use because you have to tap the powder out and I feel like some of it goes to waste if you tap out too much. After trying and returning 3 brands in the past 2 months, I almost gave up. I decided to give bareMiNERALS Blemish Rescue a try and only Neutral Deep was available. First of all I want to start saying that I wanted to give a thoughtful review after using this product for a certain and decent amount of time. Unfortunately, the sample given to me was a little dark for my skin tone, but on days where I was bronzed worked better! On my skin it oxidized a little bit, all of the times, but nothing too crazy. If you have DRY skin, this is a big no no for you. It definitely dries out from The fact that 1) is a powder foundation and 2) contents salycilic acid. You would need to pay extra attention on your skins moisture and hydration in order to have a more natural and clean finish. One of the PROS of this foundations is definitely the feel. Even though you apply a few lawyers, the feel to the touch is skin-like, so thatâs super useful when in summer! Because Iâve had dry patches on my skin because of blemishes that were drying out, it definitely was more visible when I applied the foundation. The finish is NOT full coverage, st all. Maybe if you have blemishes that are flattened and less red. But if you have acne marks like me, and youâre fair skin toned, it will definitely show that, doesnât matter how many layers. But honestly I didnât mind, I find the coverage is great until medium and is still really breathable! I didnât feel the necessity to conceal my eyes because I tried twice with different concealers and didnât look that good or natural! It didnât look bad, but the finish is better without it (in my opinion). It definitely helps drying out blemishes! But I personally donât like powder on my skin because I feel it prevents the pores from breathing and cream foundations are more natural and easier to absorb naturally, showing the natural grease of your face while wearing it for a long time in a better way that with powder (because it separates at a point) Itâs not a bad foundation at all! So I've used MATTE BARE ESCENTUALS-BAREMINERALS MATTE SPF 15 Foundation since high school. I love the light, buildible coverage. It didn't irritate my skin or break me out, it's green, and has SPF. So a few years ago I had a family event where I knew I was going to be photographed a lot and of course I had one of the worst cystic acne breakouts of my life all along my jaw (see review for to see how I cleared that up) anyway I wanted more coverage and turned to my trusty brand where I found this. First the pros, it's a beautiful case and comes with mirror and sponge, though I use my beauty blender it's nice to have in case I'm in a pinch. It is a heavier coverage than the powder foundation. Obviously no magic in the world is hiding I'm having a bad skin moment on camera, but it's as covered as I expected this foundation to be. It didn't irritate my skin or cause me to breakout. Now the cons, I use color 0.5 porcelain in the powder and another reason I love it is I have very pale skin and that is one of the few foundations light enough. The same color in this foundation was too dark for me. And it's not a liquid so I didn't know how to blend in another foundation to try and get my color. I feel that the fact that it was too dark probably exasperated the problem, but blending it was a nightmare! Takeaway, not my favorite from bareminerals. If you're looking for heavier coverage I would be interested to know if the liquid from of this foundation blends better. It's hard with COVID, but once we can go in stores easier I'd try this out before buying to make sure it's the right shade and blends ok. I wouldn't buy this again because it's too dark and they don't make it any lighter. I usually always follow back, but for some reason influenster stops us at 500 and I'm getting close to my limit. Even if I can no longer follow back, I read my followers posts. I like their posts, answer questions, and answer polls first.
While I wish this product was more full-coverage, it is a decent product for what it is. I like powder foundations in general because they often feel lightweight/comfortable on the skin, look natural, and most of all do not really require blendingâwhich makes them much faster and easier to apply than other types of foundations. This product met all those qualities that I like in a powder foundation. I also love that the packaging is easy to open (you wonât have to risk chipping your manicure to open the compact), has a large mirror, and includes a powder puff below, so it is very convenient and travel-friendly. This is a decent product, yet I would not consider it a must-have as far as foundations go.MiaM
I am a longtime BareMinerals user but this is the first foundation of theirs I've tried; I generally use a tinted moisturizer from Paula's Choice and am happy with it, just wanted to try something new. I grabbed this during 21 Days of Beauty, and after using it for about 2 weeks I was about to return it—I'm glad I didn't! Why was I about to return it? Although I read reviews that said GET THE BEAUTIFUL FINISH BRUSH TO USE WITH THIS (and I did), I was hesitant to actually USE the brush because of the $$. Meanwhile, I was using the sponge that came in the compact with the foundation. BIG MISTAKE! The foundation was going on way too heavy with the sponge. The day I decided to switch to the brush, I noticed an improvement immediately. With the brush, I had just the right amount of coverage. Voila! And, let me tell you, the brush feels ah-mazing on the skin. It's such a treat to use everyday. What an awful experience. Both compacts of Neutrogena powder foundation were a mess. The compacts were not in a cream form but all broken up and loose with the powder inside the shipping pack. In addition, one color selection was correct, however, the 2nd one (ordered together) was not the shade I had ordered. Walmart made good and delivered two fresh compact a couple of days later, which I appreciate, however, it was time wasted by having to telephone Walmart.Carol
Would have given it 5 stars every time, but frustrated to not have an applicator come with it. When writ g the company I was told they are trying to âbe more sustainableâ. This is ridiculous, because people will still need to get an applicator. The packaging has t changed at all, the compact is still the same size with the compartment to store an applicator. They have not reduced anything in their manufacturing other than not including an applicator. They have not reduced the cost either, so basically we are paying the same for less. I have always been the type of person who.usually sticks to the same thing day in and day out. I have tried literally EVERY makeup on the market from the insane high end all the way down to the discount bin, NOTHING has given me that perfect look. Not to mention my temper tantrum skin issues that exceed the driest of dry and then on the other days " I feel into the deep fryer" greasiest of grease. The best part is, that can change from morning to night in the blink of an eye. My usual makeup routine "sense the day after high school" has consisted of a foundation base and powder, cheek color, and of course something for the eyes and lips. A long time friend of mine started using Neutrogena foundation makeup and very quickly switched to only Neutrogena make and skin care products. Being the worldly makeup counter traveler that I am, I picked up her Neutrogena Mineral Sheet Power and took a triple take month mirror. Snickering to myself and waiting for my skin temperatures tantrum to kick in ten times fold. As we waited for the oil boom or sahara desert I decided to take a closer look at her skin and makeup and was just astonished! How on earth does my friend.whom is 4 yrs older then I, now look so Mich younger!? After wearing Neutrogena MineralnEheer Powder Foundation for a few hours while maintaining a perfect skin balance , I made a decisionon to run out right away and pickup my preferred color. Well after just finishing off my 2nd container I'm no Hooke and already started purchasing skincare and eye makeup, oh and don't forget the very moisturizing lip care. I had only just started using the original formula not long before they replaced it with this one. I was trying to buy my same old product for (only) my third time when I realized it was no longer available. I brought what was left of my previous compact (old formula) to the store to directly compare colors with the new formula, and even my makeup-clueless boyfriend immediately pointed out that the "new" "replacement" color for my original color shade was quite different than the "new" color shade, but there was no other shade that even came close to my old one. So, I bought it anyways just to try it out, and I'm conflicted about it. The way this new formula looks on my large pores and textured skin is actually much better and smoother than the old formula, and melts better into my skin unlike the old formula, which tended to look powdery; however, on top of being a different color than my old one, this new product has a LOT more fallout than the old one, especially if you use a brush. I did try using a dry RealTechniques sponge, and it actually seemed to work well and produce less fallout in the tin, so I recommend that you use a sponge rather than a brush. Also, as others have said, the packaging just feels more cheap and clanky than the old one, which is annoying considering that they apparently raised the price. I don't feel the need to return it, but I may be trying out new brands after I finish using this tin.HW
I was late to discover that the old BarePro powder compact was being replaced. However I had confidence in Bareminerals and bought the recommended corresponding shade in the new 16H version. I'm so disappointed. Within two days the compact has broken up, resulting in my losing lots of expensive foundation and creating annoying mess. On top of which the formulation is nothing like the fine, luxurious, buildable finish of the old BarePro. Even the most careful dab or light swipe of the brush picks up so much product, that it's very difficult to build in the same way and coupled with the crumbling effect which only seems to worsen as time goes on, means that it very wasteful as you almost always use or lose more powder than you need. The colour (Fair 15 Neutral for the old Aspen) is also not the same as the old one – the tone is more orange and of course this isn't helped by the inability to apply very fine layers. What on earth have you done, Bareminerals?! I use a huge range of BareMinerals skincare and makeup and have never been so thoroughly disappointed, it's a real turn-off that the company has produced such a poor product. I do not understand why companies do this! You have a highly-rated, holy grail product that flies off the shelves, and then you mess with the formula and lose all your customers. First Dermablend got rid of their pressed powder foundation, which is what drove me into the arms of Bare Minerals Performance Wear (which I loved.) This new version is hard to blend, it's cakey, it settles into fine lines and wrinkles, it highlights imperfections, and it applies unevenly if you have any combination skin at all. I see Bare Minerals commenting on other people's reviews about it being messy, basically accusing the user of not knowing how to apply makeup. I am a licensed aesthetician and makeup artist, and I can verify that this product is incredibly difficult to use. No matter what brush or sponge you choose, or how gently you go into the pan, you cannot help but to pick up too much product or damage the powder base. No one should have to work this hard to get product onto their tools effectively. And, because you have to be so dainty and gentle with it, and then do some voodoo magic to achieve consistent application, you have easily added 8-10 minutes to your makeup routine. This is just a giant step down from Performance Pro, and I will now be moving onto a new brand. This should have been introduced as a new product while you continued to produce Performance Pro, especially considering you've changed the formula to a wet-to-dry version. It's not the same product at all, and shouldn't be marketed as such. Lost a customer, Bare Minerals! Bring back Performance Pro, stat! Tone and Coverage I went from foundation to foundation and never figured out why I was never happy with the way it looked on my skin. Iâd have to layer bronzer and blush to make it look seamless. With this foundation, I can actually wear it on its own and my skin looks alive vs dead. Now that I found such a great match I realize how important the undertone is. Olive is a misunderstood and underrepresented undertone in foundations. The foundation is medium to light coverage with a satin/natural finish, and itâs very buildable. When I took this picture I even had some pretty knarly cystic acne on my chin. The only successful foundation experience Iâve had covering that has been with mineral foundation powders. Wear + Skintype Usually foundations wear off quickly for me. I have combo skin with oily eye lids, nose, and forehead. This wore well for 6 hours but needed a powder touch up to last through 8 hours. No primer used though! I also have yet to try pressing powder in with a sponge. Works magically with the No 7 Powder (charlotte tilbury dupe). One of my favorite foundations of all time. Looks and feels so natural on the skin and the foundation ingredients leave my skin feeling plump and hydrated. My skin looks so healthy and radiant when I use this, and I regularly receive compliments from strangers telling me how nice my skin is. When applied correctly, youâll experience minimal to almost no creasing and pores will appear smaller. I find it even works well on dry flakey patches of skin. However, although I do absolutely adore this foundation, I have unfortunately found that this foundation works best when you have relatively clear skin. I normally apply one-two thin layers of this foundation when my skin is clear, but I donât recommend going over two layers. Iâm typically okay with having my âflawsâ show through, but if I am struggling with discoloration or a bad breakout that I DO actually happen to want to cover up, this foundation is not it. After 2 layers I find that this foundation starts to crease and slide around and itâs not the best look. However, if youâre okay with youâre face looking healthy and natural, and youâre okay with a few blemishes and dark spots showing through, itâs still really great on those âbadâ skin days. Shade range obviously leaves much to be desired. The foundation is thin and serum-like however, and so I do think that shade matching isnât as hard as it might be for another thicker, more full coverage foundation. TIP: This foundation is very pricey when purchased in the States, but you can purchase it for around half price in Japan – so if youâre a fan of this foundation and happen to be in Japan, I definitely recommend that you stock up! Easily the best foundation out there for skin-like finish. Presently trying it out without setting spray and minimal powder. The longevity is great, the match is perfect and is buildable. Since Dior air flash is now discontinued I wanted something that had a comparable effect, Iâve heard wonderful things about this foundation and Iâm pleased to confirm it met the requirements. I was a little leery to purchase this compact but decided to give it a try and am so happy that I did. Being 'older' liquid has a tendency to settle in wrinkles and makes you actually look older. I tried using this pressed powder for a few days with different products before writing this review. I first wore it over a makeup primer as per normal. Barely 3 hours later, the powder separated around my nose area where it tends to get oily. It was a sticky, patchy mess. Next, I tried using a setting powder on top of it but it did little to help and made it worse. I even used a setting spray, but got the same bad result. It was fine on the rest of my face where it does not get oily and provides a natural, lightweight coverage without being cakey. I will be using this for light touchups during the day and avoid powdering my nose to avoid anymore embarrassment.

This is / has been my go to for years. In terms of mineral powder for sensitive skin this is the best I have discovered. I have fair to medium skin (depending on time of year) with neutral undertone. I have very very sensitive skin as well as freckles! I have loved the "natural look" since I was young and started wearing this brand soon after I discovered Bare Minerals when I was 15. I still go back to the Translucent Light specifically although I still try other brands to figure out what works best for my skin. If my skin is in check, this goes on seamlessly. It actually seems to help with skin sensitivities. However as with all things if your skin isn't exfoliated or ready for foundation then it won't blend as smoothly!Lauren
I used this product for about 4 to 5 years. I remember finding this product stocking it on the shelves at Target. I had even worse oily prone skin. (T zone was the worst) this powder would cover my blemishes, did we have dark circles at 18? Surely not. But this product did wonders. It helped hide the acne I hated without looking cakey. It didn't make my skin overly oily. It didn't cause me to break out more. It didn't leave dry patches. The pigment and cover was great. It was buildable. But holy f*ck is that kickback rough!! Any time Iâve used powder foundation before, Iâve ended up looking as though I am covered in dust. This doesnât do that, even when I wear the lighter shade. I can apply it without any liquid foundation and still see coverage. Best of all, it doesnât make me break out. I do see a into masks, but itâs worth it. Just donât use the little cushion to apply. I used to only wear mineral foundation and wore this for my wedding. I had terrible acne and found this to be one of the best mineral foundations and ingredients for my skin. I wear it over a cream or liquid foundation as more of a setting powder and for extra coverage than just the liquid or powder foundation alone. As I am near 40 now, I use powder foundations less as I find powders tend to crease under my eye fine lines and wrinkles a little more. If thatâs the case try to set the concealer with the Youngblood setting powder and keep the loose foundation powder away from under the eyes. Warm up the concealer with your finger tips first also. This foundation is spectacular. Especially when used with the youngblood mineral primer. You get a bit on your kabuki brush and apply it working in circles on your face and neck. You can build it until you get your desired level of coverage. It feels light and silky on the skin and when used with the matching concealer the make up stays put for hours, even in the hot Australian summer climate. This is my go too foundation, it has been for years. I often try others but always come back to this one

It didnât work with my dry skin. It accentuated my dry areas. I applied my serum, moisturizer, moisturizing primer, then the foundation. It still accentuated the dry areas on my face. I think it would be lovely for normal skin though. I will try again when my skin isnât as dry.
I have been using Youngblood Mineral Foundation since being introduced to it during a salon makeover. I was surprised by and so impressed seeing how it seemed to diminish my facial lines. In my case, I would not recommend the products because once you put them on they get chalky. If you sweat or get a small drop of water (just a little bit) and touch your face on that spot you will leave a mark. Try to use it several times (different occasions) with same results. The circumstances for when I first got this foundation we're totally a coincidence. I had gotten a BareMinerals gift of another one of my favorite products in a shade that was too dark. Prom was also coming up and I needed a foundation that would keep me matte and look good in pictures. So I went to the BareMinerals store and asked if they had any matte foundations, to which I discovered this. Never have I loved a foundation more. I have combo oily skin and this keeps me so so matte, but with a perfectly natural finish. The way my skin looks in this is like a "your skin but better" product. My oily mother normally sticks to the products she's used for years, but the minute she tried this we both had to run out and buy it for our summer and winter shades. It's AMAZING!! I couldn't even understand why it didn't have all 5 stars, but I'm assuming that it is probably a better foundation for oily skin (like most matte foundations are). I use this on top of the Combo Control Milky Face Primer also by BareMinerals, and the compliments for perfect skin don't stop coming (and I have some major acne scarring, so I'm far from perfectđ)Gatito Enthusiast
There are a lot of wonderful things about this foundation: 1) It is definitely full coverage 2) Easy to apply 3) Doesn't cause break outs 4) Matches my skin tone perfectly However, there are a few things keeping me from loving it: 1) It looks cakey and dry on my skin. Even though I have super oily skin, it still somehow manages to look dry and patchy in some areas (even though those spots still end up being oily). 2) It doesn't have the stay power I was hoping it would have. It stays pretty well for the first 6 hours but then starts to wear off. It seems to stay put longer on cooler, less active days so it's probably because of my oiliness. 3) It doesn't mattify as well as I would have liked. Like I said above, it definitely looks dry and patchy on the skin in areas, but my oily skin still shines through. However, some areas stay nicely matte. I have tried wearing it with and without foundation, but I don't see any differences between the application, wearability, stay power, and patchiness. Overall, I like enough to keep it and am going to keep experimenting with it to see if I can overcome the small issues. It is definitely better than most foundations I've tried. Wow. Thatâs all I can say. Pros- – wide color range with pictures distinctly labeled warm , cool, neutral, making it very easy to find your perfect color – unlike most long wearing foundations, this doesnât look chalky, thick, or mask like. It ends up looking like skin not like a thick layer of makeup applied to your face. -I have combination skin thatâs very easily dried out and then gets flaky and oily, I bought a dewy setting spray from Walgreens to give this a nice satin finish. If your skin is normal you will probably get the satin finish from this alone. Ten years ago I tried the bare minerals powder and a tube lipstick that was shown. I did not care for the lipstick, it went on with an uneven texture, didnât have a nice finish, and didnât wear well. The powder foundation was much too yellow and didnât look nice on my combination skin thatâs often much to dry for anything other than a cream. You guys have really stepped it up with bare pro and the mineral liquid lipstick! Blown away by the color selection you offer that includes everyone. I find that on my 63yr old skin that mineral finishing powder gives me just enough coverage without showing any wrinkles, which cream foundations tend to do.
