This is perfect for fine hair because it's a small size. I hold it on my hair for 5 seconds before moving down the strand. Don't brush it afterwards! Just run your fingers through it. If you brush you might puff up!Jenn482

love the curler. I use it when I don't have time to curl my hair at home before an event with my husband driving or in the camper after my hair dries before I get out to sightsee. It heats up fast but not as hot as my previous Conair. Still curls though. The cartridges last a long time. 2-3 years if you only use it off and on. I probably use mine 6 -8 times a year. nice case but I would rather have it have the holder to put it in hot like my old one. Great price and delivered to store….the best! This is small (about the size of my hand) but powerful! Some things to know: It comes in 2 pieces in the case. You have to put the TheraCell cartridge into the iron to make it work. You then click the button to power on the iron. It sounds and smells almost like a lighter- which can be a little disconcerting but that's just the butane gas doing its thing. According to TSA, this CANNOT be checked on a plane. But you CAN put it on a carry-on, as long as you have the safety cover (the pink case it comes in!). Something else to know is that you cannot bring an extra cartridge on a plane checked or carry-on. If you think it's time for another cartridge, change it before your trip. In terms of actual performance, this curling iron performs as well as any other curling iron I've tried and doesn't take much time to heat up! The small size takes a bit of getting used to, but it's worth it to be able to curl my hair internationally without worrying about plugs.AudreyintheCity

I wanted a curling iron that was shorter and easier to handle. All of the usual ones are so heavy and cumbersome that I constantly burn my face, ears, neck, and head. They are hard to handle for an older woman without the arm and hand strength of a young person. This curling iron is smaller – but it does not open wide enough to get your hair into it – AT ALL. I was so disappointed. I thought this would be the answer to my problems. I go out with burns on my cheeks, sometimes my ears or neck, and on my scalp – from losing control of the wand and it falling on my face, neck, ears or head. This size would work IF the "iron" were about an inch longer, and the clamp would open wide so you can get your hair in it, clamp shut, and curl. If they ever lengthen the iron and fix the clamp to open wide (as large ones do), I would buy another one.Ponytails

I love this curling iron – after a few modifications. I used a Philips head screwdriver to remove clamp and the stand, turning it into an AWESOME Curling Wand!! I bought this as a birthday gift for my young sister. She took it out and used it the next day. She loves it. She said it’s getting hot fast, but pretty even. It’s easy to use. I LOVED THIS CURLER!!!! I was honestly hesitant with this at first because I was scared my hair would get caught up or tangled and that I would have to possibly cut it out but this was completely the opposite of what I thought! I loved that it’s cordless so it’s easy to use anywhere and even on the go if you’re traveling or just rushing to get somewhere and want to still do your hair. I have thick hair and when it said to obviously use decently small strips in the tool I was thinking it would take FOREVER to finish but it’s so fast. The barrel twists the hair so smoothly and after it’s done you’re left with a beautiful curl. I always have a hard time doing curls or styling my hair since I’m not an expert and this tool makes it completely easy. I am in love with it and have used several times already and if I get to travel this will definitely be going with me. I feel like the heat settings are just enough without causing too much damage to hair. You can switch up the direction of the curl which Is so convenient. I think the only con I can give this which really isn’t even anything bad is you definitely would need to use in front of a mirror just to make sure you’re Putting the hair into the slot completely for the barrel to be able to twist and give that nice curl. I bought my first one a few months ago and absolutely loved it! I could curl my hair on my half hour drive to work. (Only at the endless stoplights, of course.) Despite having waist length hair, I had absolutely no problems with tangling or pulling hair. I did use small sections of hair, as recommended, though. We had a beautiful one month relationship, and then it just died. wouldn't recharge at all. Despite reviews suggesting it might be a chronic problem, I returned it for another. That one wouldn't charge past one bar, which only gave me about three minutes of curling time. I tried charging it again overnight, with the same result. so, that one was returned, too. Yet, here I am thinking, "third times a charm," right?AJ

Overall I was disappointed in this product and I don’t really see myself using it again. The second picture below is after I curled my hair with a different curling iron and the first and third were before and after I combed them out using the Conair one. You can pretty much see that the Conair one made it look a little messy. I stopped using it after I took the pictures because I didn’t want all of my hair to look like that. I think I like more of a beach wave and this just curled it too much. I think this would be ideal for someone with shorter and less thick hair as well as someone who is young and just starting out because they won’t burn themselves! Pros: I like that it can stand up on the counter so I don’t have to worry about it sliding off like other curlers. I appreciate the fact that it turns off automatically after a certain amount of time. Heated up pretty fast and the heat is on the inside so you can’t really burn yourself. Cons: The curls came out kind of messy and non-uniform. It curls the very bottom of my hair which I usually leave out to create a beach wave look. Harder to use than a regular clamp curling iron. Buttons to switch from L to R and change the temperature were a little confusing I just pressed them randomly until it changed to how I wanted it. Has to be charged before use because you can’t charge it while using it.alexandra .p

I do love my Conair curling irons. For the price point, it can't be beat. I like that I can adjust my heat setting to my hair needs and there are so many barrel sizes available. The clamp doesnt crimp my hair. I do wish it was a little looser so I could do some different techniques, but again, this is a budget friendly product and it does a good job.heather.a

I have been using this same curling iron for many years. The las two or three I have bought have been very disappointing. They won’t turn on until you push the button over and over again. Sometimes they never come on, so I have to keep a backup. Now the one I’m using goes off in the middle of my curling, so I have to keep watching the light. I bought a Revlon as a backup but I don’t like it as well. However I’m losing faith in your product.Karen

Lets start with the design. I love the details on the handle and love the colors they chose. as it brings a little spring time in to my hair collection. Also this is the first time for me using a tool like this. where i am able to not worry about clipping my hair with a alligator type clamp. The color matching buttons makes it easy to make sure you use the recommended temp and with the power button easy to change the temp if needed. Also the capability to inner change the size is to cool. it took me a few times to get the hang of using these tools but that only because im use to the clamp style. I do have heavy hair with thickness to it. so i was amazingly shocked how long my curls lasted. as i have long down pasted the middle of my back and again it thick hair. Now it does NOT take long for the wand to warm up. maybe a full minute to be at its full temp. so this will be only tool for now on for my hair to be curled.iammrstrejo

I had high expectations for this product because I knew in order for me to like it, it had to be a total game changer. I have never been good with curling irons/curlers/anything that curls your hair!! For some reason I could never get the "bouncy" beautiful curls that I envied. Most of the time I would get the weird crease from the clamp that totally ruins the curls. To sum it up… I just never could get the hang of it… not even on other people's hair. Well this wand completely changed my perspective on all this. I love that there is no clamp so you have more of a hands on feel and you're able to create the curl that you want depending on how much hair you use, which wand you use, temperature, how high you curl to the scalp, how long you hold it in place, etc. The possibilities really are endless!!!! I found this extremely easy to use and a wonderful value if you ask me. My hair is naturally a little wavy to begin with but I found the medium wand to be my favorite because it gave me such a natural look in such little time. I only wish my hair were longer!!! I'm growing it out but had to cut it a few months ago due to damage from bleach. I cannot wait for it to be longer so I can really achieve the long beautiful curls that I have always dreamed of!! Even with my hair past my shoulders I could still get some beautiful ringlets. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the little glove they give you to help style without burning yourself. The glove only has 3 fingers, which I have never seen before and thought was a little strange lol. The top of the glove had a different fabric or texture than the bottom did. So I think for this reason it can only be worn on one hand so it isn't really suited for ppl who may dominate with the other hand, depending on which one you prefer to use it with (if that makes sense). I actually found it much easier to use without it, but had it been a complete 5 finger glove it would have been much easier. It just doesn't stay on.. so I would suggest either a full glove or no glove. But it isn't really necessary so technically it is a bonus. Thank you so much and I look forward to other hair products and treatments that will help heal my damaged hair. I was hesitant on buying this wand because of the few negative reviews, but now I know it’s mostly just user error and lack of reading the instructions. lol I’m glad I tried it for myself. This wand is great! I have always used conair tools and they’ve lasted me years. I love the barrel sizes this wand comes with. I have a blunt bob and use the 1/2 inch chopstick with about 1 inch of hair in each curl and it gives me the CUTEST waves that last for a couple of days. I might have to touch up a few spots here and there, but nothing too crazy. I love the different attachments because I can use the largest barrel on my extensions and it’s all in one for convenient storage. Another plus is this heats up insanely fast. It’s so great if you’re in a pinch. Also, I didn’t have an issue with the lock mechanism at all. It’s very simple, especially if you follow the instructions. 😉 The temperature does adjust to your liking without choosing 1 of the 3 curl options. You just have to double click the on button and it will adjust 15° ranging from 250°-450°. It’s a quality hot tool that gets the job done and you can’t beat the price. I’ve always had better luck with conair than other higher end hot tools. I definitely recommend!Kait

If you have hard to curl hair – get this tool! I have very fine/silky hair. It never wants to hold a curl, especially in the summer when it's consistently 80-90% humidity. The only way it would hold it the best was with a flat iron, and even on extra humid days or rainy days, it would be almost completely straight after a day. At first I thought this thing was a gimmick, but what intrigued me about the Le Duo is the fact that it blows air while you're curling, so essentially setting the curl immediately, and I decided to give it a try. When I tell you my hair has never held a curl like this… it has NEVER held a curl like this!! I even had to tame them because the curls were so curly! After the initial settling of the curls, I went outside, where the humidity was intense that day, and all my curls stayed! I've used it a few times now with different hair dirtiness and styling products, and every time the curls stay better than any other tool I've used. I highly doubt I'll ever go back to a regular flat iron (or a curling iron/wand which literally does nothing for my hair), this is it for me! Last weekend I asked my sister in law if I could use one of her hair curlers. She gave me options of multiple wands & this bad boy. Since I had never seen anything like this before (the shape of the product), I wanted to try it out. I used it to curl my hair and fell in LOVE that I had to go buy myself the same one that same day. It's so easy to use & gave me really casual curls. My hair is a bit on the longer side, so I was scared that it wasn't going to curl but it did! However, using it as a straightener is ok, but not my fav. It took a couple mins longer to use this compared to my Paul Mitchel 1.25" flat iron. It still performed really well & better than a "cheap" or less expensive alternative. Definitely keeping this for the curling action! The fan definitely keeps my curls in place as well!Ivy

Short report: Its simple but gets hot quick and stays hot, the features work well, great for short hair but you need the longer one for long hair, expect a tiny learning curve but it is worth it. Full report: My stylist recommended this brand to me and I am a fan. This tool was exactly what I needed- it heats up fast and stays hot, the outside stays cool thanks to the fan (low risk of burning myself major ++), the cord is long and thick, the tool itself weighs next to nothing, and it is under $100. I have short hair for the first time in forever so my ancient tools needed an update and this thing was perfect- it replaced a straightener and my wide curling iron and let me splurge on a hair dryer (which is what matters most imho). THE GOOD: It is basically a solid hair straightener with a cool blast feature. This feature 'sets' the curl or wave immediately, letting you pin it or leave it hanging without burning yourself or getting your neck all sweaty. You can curl tighter or looser depending on your movement, bump or flip ends, and quickly tame cowlicks and bangs. Thats it. Its simple but works! …if you know what you are doing. If you are used to curling with a straight iron then this will feel amazing but if not then there is like a 20 min learning curve but it is worth it! (and honestly applies to all straighteners so learn once and do forever) -It is a perfectly neutral pink, not a huge eye sore -it is sooooo light, I never thought I would care but I realized I could do my whole hair without needing to give my wrists a break -It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off after a certain time THE BAD: HOWEVER. If you have LONG HAIR aka PAST YOUR SHOULDERS (and, like me, have a lot of it) then do NOT get this tool. this guy would've been useless to me a month ago when my hair was past my chest. Maybe if your hair is fine or you don't have much then ok BUT FEAR NOT- They sell a longer version on their website, I will upgrade to that one when I get there and this one will transition to live on as my travel tool. I spent months trying to decide which automatic hair curler I was going to buy. After reading umpteen reviews and watching umpteen YouTube videos on every automatic hair curler on the market, I finally decided to the CHI and got an excellent deal on eBay. I'd watched so many women use this and read the directions, I couldn't wait to use it. Either get some life back in my hair with curls or cut it short. I really thought it would be easy and quick to get long bouncy beach waves. I was wrong about everything! The CHI is very awkward to hold, very heavy and too wide of a handle. It heated up very quickly which was good. But trying to grab 1/2" to 3/4" wide of hair is difficult. And trying to get that hair into the curler was near to impossible! The curler has to be held with a specific side to your head, the same side with the small cutout where you put your hair in. Trying to do this while looking into a mirror really threw me off. After about 6 tries to get hair in I finally did it, had it set on medium heat for 15 seconds, and although I could actually smell my hair burning I waited the whole 15 seconds. When I released the hair it was very hot with barely any curl at all. I would have done better with my old curling iron or plastic rollers. I continued to try and experimentedwith various temperature settings and the longer hold time which is 19 seconds. Every single time my hair got immediately tangled up inside the curler. I was terrified I would either burn my hair off or it would get so tangled in the machine I couldn't get it out and have to cut my hair out of it! Luckily that didn't happen but I did have to lose a bunch of hairs in the process. After maybe a total of 20 minutes I gave up completely. I don't know how others can use this. I don't know how they manage to get their hair into a small opening that's facing their hair and actually have the thing take hold of the hair. I definitely think it would work better if there were cutouts on both sides of the machine so you weren't forced to try to get hair in while having to work within the small opening with the sides in the way. This definitely is not for me and I'm extremely disappointed. If it weren't so heavy and awkward to hold, and I had three hands, I probably could have done it! Unfortunately, the seller doesn't accept returns, so I'll give it to someone more coordinated than me. But don't let my bad experience stop you from buying the CHI if that's what you've set your heart on, just be sure to get it somewhere that accepts returns, just in case.rosie55555

This curler really does work! It just has a learning curve. These are the steps I do to get it to work: 1. Take a small section of hair that’s long & narrow, not a wide section. 2. If starting from the top of your hair shaft, hold the curler close to your head, fit the hair piece in between the plastic V on top of the curler. You can either hold onto the hair piece still or let it go so it’s just hanging down. 3. Push the wind button. If you want curls to face inward you push the button on the outside of the curler, if you want curls that curl away from your face then push the button closest to your ear. 4. After some trial and error you will be able to tell right away if the hair is winding correctly by the way it feels and the noise it makes. 5. You can curl certain sections even if your hair is long. To do this you have to grab your hair from where you want it to start and wrap it around your finger like in the instruction booklet. You then repeat the steps above by putting the hair in between the V. It will wrap it from that section onward. The biggest trick here is **the hair has to fit in between the plastic V on top of the curler** The most unfortunate part is you can’t get so close to your root, but the curls are still pretty!Karen

Omg. This thing is a time saver, I have relatively long thick hair so it takes at least 45min-1hr to curl my hair. Now with this? 15-20min I genuinely am shocked. The first time I took 25 min but that’s only because I didn’t know how to use it properly lol. My hair gets stuck sometimes when I put too much in (they advise against it lol) but even when it gets “stuck” it immediately shuts off and a warning beep alarms me to remove my hair. It doesn’t hurt either. I like how depending on the time you can do loose to poodle curles so it’s very versatile. I’m buying both my sister and my mom this for Christmas 10/10 product. I have the titanium 1 inch curling iron and I think it's insane how this ceramic one holds my curls more so than the other. I have virgin hair, it's extremely healthy, straight and silky texture. I say this because for many, it's hard to find a combination of a tool and hair products that can get this kind of hair to hold styling. I've struggled for years. I've been messing with this iron for a few days now and it outdoes the titanium for my kind of hair. I love both for different reasons, but this really is one of my new favorites. Kristin Ess has got it going on. I look forward to messing with this iron and getting better at styling. I wish there were more videos to help the ladies out. I would recommend this for newbies getting into using a curling iron. I'm one of them because I've always used my trusty Nume curling wand, but wanted to change things up. I had high hopes for this curling iron since I absolutely love their flat iron but unfortunately the curling iron sucks. Doesn’t hold a curl and if you have longer than shoulder length hair, forget it. Never in my entire life of styling my hair have I had my curls fall so quickly as they do with this iron, even with hairspray. I’m left with zero curls and burnt hair. Even having the temp at a lower setting and a good heat protectant my hair smells burnt. Save your money. There are far better curling irons on the market for $50 or less.Shannon

First time attaching the diffuser and removing it, red coating came off inside of nozzle. Poor quality. Even tho ceramic is supposed to reduce static, my fine hair had more static. I like everything about this Conair MiniPro Travel hair dryer with a folding handle. It has 2 heat settings and is dual voltage for use travelling outside of the USA. It has low and high control for drying my hair. I love this dryer because it is lightweight and I use it at home. It does not take up too much room in the suitcase for travelling. I am a senior and need a hair dryer that is easy to handle and not heavy. Since it is Tourmaline and Ceramic it is good for both straight hair and curly.sarge

Goodness, who knew not having a cord would make curling hair so much easier? For someone who is a beginner at using curling irons, this one makes it so much easier- I don't have to fight with a cord and its amazing. Battery lasts a decent amount of time. This is a wonderful curling iron. It heats up fast, and it gives me soft, bouncy, long lasting curls in no time. It's simple to use. Of course it comes with instructions, but I find it very intuitive to use. Everything you really need to know is on the handle, where you can adjust the temperature up and down with no effort whatsoever. The biggest benefit is the cordless aspect. It charges quickly and you can use it while charging. But, once it is charged, it was a game changer for me. I always had problems with cords twisting up and tangling when I used curling irons in the past. This eliminates that issue completely.
