I've only had it a few days so I can't say a lot about it right now but so far, I'm really liking it. It was easy to put together and figure out. You do need one AAA battery for the digital part that tells you calories burned, etc. It's small and easy to just fit into a corner or where ever you need it to be (I keep mine off to the side, next to the bed just so I can make sure I remember it every day). I got this because I needed to move more. I am someone who is heavy and knew I needed to begin the process of working out and losing weight but had no interest in traditional ways to lose weight except for maybe a treadmill and/or a bike (stationary or regular). As someone who also has anxiety & depression, that can make getting outside difficult & with this pandemic going on now, that makes it even more difficult. So, I finally gave in and bought one of these. You can either pedal with your feet or do it as an arm "workout". It does say to use shoes while you use this. I'd just suggest an easy pair of "cheap" slip on's that you may use just for this. Which I happened to have had. A pair of shoes that were extremely uncomfortable to walk in (didn't know that when I bought them as I bought them online) but they work perfectly for this. I also have issues with my knees (weight & I hurt them some years back) and also my left calf (charlie horses, etc) so I have to be careful. I can use this in the comfort of my home without worrying about cramping and if it does happen, I dont have to worry about falling off of a bike or having to work on getting off of a treadmill if I were out or even at home if my leg began cramping. One thing that many may not like but you get used to is it tends to catch or pause a bit when you peddle. You can do it while watching t.v., on the computer (with the right type of chair) or almost anything where you are in a comfortable sitting position. All that said: I love it so far!Bridget
The shipping of this product was remarkable it was here two days after they told me it was going to ship and wasn't suppose to be here until this week. Putting it together (Pedals, Straps, Legs) was a piece of cake. I will say that the rubber grippers on the bottom of the feet come off very easily, every time I go to move it. When you tighten the tension my machine seems to make some off the wall noises like something is banging inside the unit or like something is about to break. I back off the tension and it goes away but that just defeats the purpose, Right? I wish the pedals were a little wider, not just a narrow bridge. My biggest pet peeve is the display. I set my google home for 30 minutes of music and when I'm done it says I have only done about 25 minutes. This makes me wonder about the distance and the number of steps as well. One last thing is the distance is in meters. I'm in the US and I don't know what .331 meters translates to unless I look it up on my phone or computer. 1. If you buy this, you will need a AAA battery for the score keeper. 2. This gadget wobbles from side to side making vigorous foot pedaling almost impossible. I tried it on a hard floor, on my (thick) plastic chair mat and on carpet. It gripped the floor best on carpet. But it still wobbled. And don't try to use it when sitting on a chair with castors. It needs to be much heavier to be useful. I tried tinkering with the tension but there is no tension setting where it doesn't wobble disruptively. 3. I ordered this for my PT after having stomach cancer surgery. Had not been able to use it until recently and my son put it together but there is a bolt(nut) missing that goes to the screw on the bottom….the plastic bag was open so we thought it fell inside the box but it wasn't in there. Because my son had to leave back to Tulsa that same day, we were not able to bring it to the store. I haven't any transportation and because of my illness and chemo treatments I cannot venture out to Walmart…I just need that little bolt or nut that holds the screw in at the bottom of the bike so I can continue with my PT ….anyhelp will be appreciated. would add a photo but not sure how to do it. The pedaler is nice and light so you can take it with you anywhere. Good for light workouts, if you try to go fast it keeps sliding forward. I am so so happy with this bike. I am 75 and put the bike together by myself in about an hour. Directions are really clear; take your time and enjoy the process of putting it together. Bike is so quiet and very smooth ride. Love the scanner that includes heart rate, miles, calories, time peddling. The bike is really sturdy and fits in an 18 inch square space when closed. Very easy to close and open. Yes, pull the pin to open and close the bike……there are two holes that line up for open and close position. The seat is also really comfortable. In response to P65 for consumers . . .it's a warning label such as don't use a curling iron while in the tub, or consume paint chips. "Should I worry about Prop 65? Probably not. The Prop 65 label is like a noisy alarm that rings equally loudly about smaller amounts of low-risk substances and huge amounts of potentially harmful chemicals. The labels don't say how much of the chemical is present, or how much it would really take to make a person sick." And one key word is "might"! Most items should probably have this label on it! All the toxins we purchase is outrageous-but unless you are licking, consuming, or eating the paint chips, etc. the worries should be labeled but it's safe to use. I bought this bike after I waited too long to buy the recumbent bike and it sold out. I didn’t want the traditional style bike because I felt my caboose was too large for it and the bike seat would be uncomfortable. This model was also on sale with free shipping and against my better judgement I purchased it for $129 pretax and no shipping. I am incredibly glad that I did. This was quick & simple to put together. Anyone could put this together! The directions are easy to read and specific, and there aren’t a lot of parts to decipher what is what or where it goes. The hardest thing for me was deciding what level to choose for the seat (which turns out to be generously sized and comfortable)! It’s compact and light enough to easily move and I’m amazed at how quiet it is! I am 49, 5’1” and my weight was up to 215# when I bought this. There are 8 tension levels on this lil home bike. I started at level 1 for 5 minutes at the beginning of January. It’s now the middle of February and I’m at level 4 and I ride for 45 minutes a day or longer. I’ve lost 20 pounds and 15 inches of fat so far. In the end, I’m glad I had to get this style bike because I don’t feel that I would have worked as hard if I had or had as many moving body parts if I had purchased the recumbent bike. The digital screen is easy to read and use. I hope this lil guy goes many more miles with me and I highly recommend this bike to anyone who wants to exercise and doesn’t want a large piece of equipment or a large price tag. I bought this for my mother (63) who moved to FL and had since become pretty idle which isn't good. While she was here she was walking up to 5 miles a day but she moved there and walking ceased, some weight was gained, stamina decreased, body aches returned/got worse, she started needing her and it just wasn't good. Idle bodies break down, probably especially older ones. So I figured that since she sat around the house, she could at least 'move' while sitting, get those legs working again, regain some stamina, burn some calories, tone some muscles and it might improve her body aches (she has arthritis in her knee, reduced cartilage and sometimes gets those gel injections), etc. Well, she loves it! She's had it 2-3 weeks and began a routine 2 days after receiving it. She uses it 4-5 days a week and her goal was to get to 10,000 reps/cycles a day within a month and eventually use it for her arms too; well, she's at about 7,500-8,000 reps a day, using it for arm exercises too, her knee pains have decreased, she can make it up the whole flight of stairs without getting winded halfway, she hasn't needed her cane since after about a week or use, she said she feels better and more so, it has stopped her from being so idle. This product is even better because it is lightweight and folds for portability, but also because of it's low price; I wasn't concerned because it was inexpensive, I look at customer reviews for products and go from there. I would recommend this product to others and am highly considering buying it for my 'other mother' who recently retired and who I don't want to become idle when she relocates, but I also think it's good for myself while I'm just sitting around watching TV, more so since I'm inside so much more due to current events and restrictions.ariespoet
I thought I was going to hate this machine. I LOVE IT. It is light-weight and easy to carry and does not take much space. This machine is great for people just starting out on an exercise regime. It is particularly good for elderly people to help keep them moving. The monitor works well so it is easy to keep track of progress. The downside is that the machine creeps forward when in use. I solved this by placing two rubber door stops behind each side of the front bar and two rubber door stops in front of the rear bar. Other than the resistance being poor and the creeping, this machine has merit for beginners, elderly and possibly those with ailments that would benefit from pedaling motions. Due to a medical problem for past year I am out of shape and have gained weight. Typically very active and wanted to be ready for spring/summer. (Living in New England outside activities are limited and not a skier). This bike is so quiet I can work out and my husband does not even hear me. Have began watching various videos so I can "see" that am going some place. It is easy to pedal and comfortable (took several tries to get the seat in the right position, but with all the adjustability was able to). Having different resistance levels has been great as have gotten stronger, can easily increase resistance. (Started of medium resistance and could only handle 3 minutes! Built from there). I started spinning at my prior gym years ago. After cancelling my membership, finding ways to workout at home has been key. I had a station bike that broke down. The amount of options for a bike is overwhelming! After reviewing my options, doing a budget, I saw this bike has a bluetooth connection and theirs an app to workout with. Putting the bike together myself was easy. Working out with it has been amazing! However the bluetooth connection drops couple of minutes into the workout, and then i have to start to video again. First of all, let me just say that I am a beginner cyclist. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was trying to find a form of cardio that I really enjoy. There was just no way that I was going to spend $2500 on a Peloton on top of a $40 dollar subscription a month. I decided on this bike because it fit my budget. Great foot, ankle and leg exercises for flexibility and to ensure healing. I had surgery for my posterior Tibial Tendon and distibular joint of the foot and ankle. Using this exercise cycle has really helped keep the ankle and leg stretched and flexible. I use it for 10 to 15 minutes daily before doing other exercises and walking. It's really a great way to stretch and warm up with out having a full size bike sitting in the room. It's heavy enough to be stable, but easy to move because of the handle. Great piece of quality built, easy to use equipment.
It’s a sturdy little machine that is quiet and smooth motion. The tension maybe little less since it’s magnetic but if you do it long enough it works. Good for sitting on the couch and exercising while watching tv and also nice feature for exercising the arms. It’s multi use for legs and arms. Also the ready is ok. Arrived yesterday. Put it together in part of an evening, pleasant surprise as I'm not very good at such things. Seems solid, well packaged and well made. Seems to work properly. I do not wish to go back to my health club. I plan to use this bike to get aerobic exercise. I'm interested in my heart rate and the length of time I have been going. Not interested in extra bells and whistles. Not interested for example in viewing videos as if I'm cycling through the mountains of Spain.
Just got this yesterday, and first things first, the packaging is awesome! Very thoroughly packed in a sturdy box. This is often overlooked. Product was well packaged and undamaged. Very easy to unpack all the parts to get ready for assembly. The owners manual was surely written by someone with a command of the English language. Instructions were well written and easy to understand and follow. A breeze to assemble. Product seems very well engineered. Only rode for about half hour but seems to work fine and is sturdy. Im 5'10 220 and sons are 6' 190. All three of us use it. Its not super duty quality. Only concern is 2 bolts by handle bar, I bought steel screws and not its very sturdy. Otherwise too much movement that i felt would strip with use. Super quiet and functional. Definitely recommend it. We use it alot especially now with the Covid situation. I bought 2 of these under desk bikes 2 months ago in Nov 2021-the one I have at work broke 2 weeks ago. I have been in back and forth emailing where one person says one thing and someone else states another. No I do not want only a 50% refund for a part I do not even know how to put in (nor have they told me what is wrong with the bike). I am hopeful to get this resolved by Flexispot sending me a whole new bike or a FULL refund (I prefer to get the bike replaced). People really just skipped out on reading the instructions entirely just because it’s super easy to assemble! It says it in the instructions that if your desk is wobbly, you must tighten it even MORE! After I screwed it super tight, the wobbling disappeared entirely. It’s super sturdy! The seat is comfortable in my opinion of sitting on it for over 2 hours at 6/7 speed. I do own paded biker shorts I plan on wearing if it ever starts to hurt, but I really don’t see that happening if I keep sitting on it correctly with good posture. I use it on level 6 or 7 to get a nice workout in while working & I’m able to do so without a problem. I’m 5ft tall & found it super comfortable to use. I don’t have to lower the seat to get on or off, which some people said they did & I don’t see the reason why! That’s just complicating things. Just put the seat & desk at a nice level where you can easily get on & off without having to adjust… One of my favorite things about it is that it has wheels so I can just roll it onto a corner out of the way when not in use! Great investment! I purchased it during the “deal of the day” so I suggest waiting for another great deal like black friday or cyber monday coming up! The bike arrived within a few days, was heavy but was able to move it up stairs and into place. Unpacked and assembled took 15 minutes tops. It is quiet!! and has several settings for easy to hard resistance. Not for someone who wants to train, but great for work at a desk. This was a perfect purchase. I bought this for the upper body arm bike to continue physical therapy at home. The lower foot bike was a bonus. But I notice the tension sticks in both areas. The lower foot bike can loosen the tension enough for better motion, even though it still feels a bit sticky instead of flowing with smooth motion. The upper arm bike isn't loosening enough to make the stickiness of the motion negligible. I am hoping over time and use that will help. I am reviewing it first day out of the box and put together. I did notice the foot crank and hand crank attachments were both pre-greased and sticky to touch when we put it together. I use this exerciser to regain the strength and stamina I lost during the covid-19 pandemic. I don't have much space, and I was looking for a small unit. It arrived in one large box. Before opening the box, I asked for email instructions to assemble it. Hammacher Schlemmer responded within the hour, and I read the directions a few times before opening the package. My son-in-law helped me complete this, and he also read the instructions in advance. I spread out a quilt and brought the parts into the basement playroom. The nuts/bolts/small pieces were separated and labeled in a molded clear plastic container, so I did not have to deal with many jumbled parts. The unit was easy to put together step-by-step, I found the instructions very clear. Our only mistake was using the wrong washers in the first step, but we quickly corrected that. I tried the exerciser out and could only do 4 minutes! When I went to my health club pre-Covid, I warmed up 20-25 minutes on a stationary recumbent bike before completing the exercise machine circuit and swimming. I am glad I finally purchased this exerciser. It has been three weeks, and I can now do 20 minutes. I don't know if I will ever feel comfortable enough to return to my health club. LEFT PEDAL = LEFT TURN TO ATTACH Seller answered my question promptly–the measurement is not metric–t is MPH and miles clocked. The left pedal threads are opposite (LEFT) to attach. DUH!! When I was 5 years old my Daddy taught me "Leftie Loosie–Rightie Tightie". That should have been in the instructions with a graphic. Not all of us 69YO Grannies are mechanics and engineers. This my first time owning a stationary bicycle and I could not be more pleased with it. Assembling it was very easy, it comes with two tools, an open wrench and a hex key wrench, that's all you need. Super sturdy and very well made. The box that it came in, I was able to fit in the back seat of my Honda accord and I was able to carry it up to the the 3rd floor apt, via the stairs with no problem. It weighs approx 45-50 Lbs. but the straps (two) that hold the box together make great handles and it easy to carry it. So far I'm loving it. Oh one more thing, the picture doesn't show it but it comes with a back support pad plus rear handles and a pair of resistance bands with handles right below the handle bars. You can really get a good cardio workout. I would definitely recommend it to any one looking for an affordable and solid stationary bicycle.BobC

I bought this for my mother (63) who moved to FL and had since become pretty idle which isn't good. While she was here she was walking up to 5 miles a day but she moved there and walking ceased, some weight was gained, stamina decreased, body aches returned/got worse, she started needing her and it just wasn't good. Idle bodies break down, probably especially older ones. So I figured that since she sat around the house, she could at least 'move' while sitting, get those legs working again, regain some stamina, burn some calories, tone some muscles and it might improve her body aches (she has arthritis in her knee, reduced cartilage and sometimes gets those gel injections), etc. Well, she loves it! She's had it 2-3 weeks and began a routine 2 days after receiving it. She uses it 4-5 days a week and her goal was to get to 10,000 reps/cycles a day within a month and eventually use it for her arms too; well, she's at about 7,500-8,000 reps a day, using it for arm exercises too, her knee pains have decreased, she can make it up the whole flight of stairs without getting winded halfway, she hasn't needed her cane since after about a week or use, she said she feels better and more so, it has stopped her from being so idle. This product is even better because it is lightweight and folds for portability, but also because of it's low price; I wasn't concerned because it was inexpensive, I look at customer reviews for products and go from there. I would recommend this product to others and am highly considering buying it for my 'other mother' who recently retired and who I don't want to become idle when she relocates, but I also think it's good for myself while I'm just sitting around watching TV, more so since I'm inside so much more due to current events and restrictions.ariespoet
I thought I was going to hate this machine. I LOVE IT. It is light-weight and easy to carry and does not take much space. This machine is great for people just starting out on an exercise regime. It is particularly good for elderly people to help keep them moving. The monitor works well so it is easy to keep track of progress. The downside is that the machine creeps forward when in use. I solved this by placing two rubber door stops behind each side of the front bar and two rubber door stops in front of the rear bar. Other than the resistance being poor and the creeping, this machine has merit for beginners, elderly and possibly those with ailments that would benefit from pedaling motions. A little daunting looking at first to put together – took me an hour and 20 mins and not so bad once you get going. I had no issues, thankfully. It feels sturdy and I also really like the comfort seat. I've seen other exercise bikes with the small performance seat – so uncomfortable. The seats makes a huge difference for me. Wheels turn smoothly and quietly. Resistance bands can be turned to the front to move out of the way when not in use.elemee3

It's really hard to find a store where you can actually try exercise bikes, making shopping difficult. I've ordered bikes in this price range online before and they were horrible! I was lucky to be able to try this bike at my friend's home and when he told me what he paid for it, I was astonished and ordered it right away. It's a really great value for the price – sturdy, comfortable for a larger person such as myself (the seat is large and firm), the pedals are aligned towards the front and don't hurt my knees – other inexpensive bikes have them positioned almost beneath the seat which is incredibly uncomfortable on knees and hips. The tension control transitions smoothly and the pulley rope is a nice easy-to-use addition to work your upper body. I like that you can easily navigate on the screen to see your heart rate, mph, calories burned, etc. There is an app but it's not necessary to reap the benefits. It folds up easily in my tiny studio which is a real bonus!!!Felicity

Very sturdy and quiet exercise bike! I read reviews of several bikes before choosing this one based on reviews that it was easy to assemble. And it was. It still took me 1.5 hours to assemble it slowly, but I did it by myself and had a nice, sturdy bike. I left off the seat back and the seat handles and haven't regretted it. It is very sturdy and very quiet, and since I am in a small home, the size is just perfect. The computer works fine for me as I only use the time feature. Overall, it was a wonderful bike and I would recommend it to anyone! The Walmart delivery was also much quicker than ezxpected by several days. Since this was my first big ticket purchase from Walmart online, I have to say I am very pleased with them!Janinvirginia
This is a really good quality bike regardless of the price. I was scared that the quality would not be good but it is excellent. I did not want an expensive bike that forces me to get subscriptions. It’s comfortable and gives a great workout. The whole family is using it and loves it. Assembly was easy.
Box was a little beat up when received, but packed well with Styrofoam so no damage. Very good directions, easy to follow. 1 washer missing in package but there are 4 screws to backrest so washer wasn't critical, that's why I give 4 stars. I have a bad back so I wanted a solid bike that wouldn't put strain on my discs as I am limited in what exercise I can do. This bike works almost silently with TV on, slim design allows it to be in living room without taking up too much space. I'm 5'4", 29" inseam and adjustable seat still has two more notches to go lower(and many more to go higher). It has 8 levels and I'm only on 2 at 1/2 hr a day at 20mph and have lost 7lbs in 1 week. I've only had it a few days so I can't say a lot about it right now but so far, I'm really liking it. It was easy to put together and figure out. You do need one AAA battery for the digital part that tells you calories burned, etc. It's small and easy to just fit into a corner or where ever you need it to be (I keep mine off to the side, next to the bed just so I can make sure I remember it every day). I got this because I needed to move more. I am someone who is heavy and knew I needed to begin the process of working out and losing weight but had no interest in traditional ways to lose weight except for maybe a treadmill and/or a bike (stationary or regular). As someone who also has anxiety & depression, that can make getting outside difficult & with this pandemic going on now, that makes it even more difficult. So, I finally gave in and bought one of these. You can either pedal with your feet or do it as an arm "workout". It does say to use shoes while you use this. I'd just suggest an easy pair of "cheap" slip on's that you may use just for this. Which I happened to have had. A pair of shoes that were extremely uncomfortable to walk in (didn't know that when I bought them as I bought them online) but they work perfectly for this. I also have issues with my knees (weight & I hurt them some years back) and also my left calf (charlie horses, etc) so I have to be careful. I can use this in the comfort of my home without worrying about cramping and if it does happen, I dont have to worry about falling off of a bike or having to work on getting off of a treadmill if I were out or even at home if my leg began cramping. One thing that many may not like but you get used to is it tends to catch or pause a bit when you peddle. You can do it while watching t.v., on the computer (with the right type of chair) or almost anything where you are in a comfortable sitting position. All that said: I love it so far!Bridget
The shipping of this product was remarkable it was here two days after they told me it was going to ship and wasn't suppose to be here until this week. Putting it together (Pedals, Straps, Legs) was a piece of cake. I will say that the rubber grippers on the bottom of the feet come off very easily, every time I go to move it. When you tighten the tension my machine seems to make some off the wall noises like something is banging inside the unit or like something is about to break. I back off the tension and it goes away but that just defeats the purpose, Right? I wish the pedals were a little wider, not just a narrow bridge. My biggest pet peeve is the display. I set my google home for 30 minutes of music and when I'm done it says I have only done about 25 minutes. This makes me wonder about the distance and the number of steps as well. One last thing is the distance is in meters. I'm in the US and I don't know what .331 meters translates to unless I look it up on my phone or computer. If I had a do over I would have spent a little more money and got one that would hopefully not sound or record like this one does.Bearcubleader
1. If you buy this, you will need a AAA battery for the score keeper. 2. This gadget wobbles from side to side making vigorous foot pedaling almost impossible. I tried it on a hard floor, on my (thick) plastic chair mat and on carpet. It gripped the floor best on carpet. But it still wobbled. And don't try to use it when sitting on a chair with castors. It needs to be much heavier to be useful. I tried tinkering with the tension but there is no tension setting where it doesn't wobble disruptively. 3. If you put it on a table and hand pedal pushing down hard then it works okay for an upper-body workout.Gregory
