I've been using this for 6 months now and it's a decent piece of equipment. Upgraded from the R24 so I could have more inputs and I've been loving the flexibility of this unit. I have used it very little as a standalone unit so I'm not familiar with that aspect, but I've found this to be great in every other functional aspect. The onboard effects and eq are decent though I shut them down to record. 6 mic outputs with individual mixes is a great feature for recording with others. The preamps are really clean. The only drawback I can think of is something that's unfortunately become standard with electronics in general: cheap casing and knobs/sliders. I wouldn't want to transport this thing around too much without a decent case. It sits in my studio and I don't plan on moving it. I would recommend this if you want a unit that does quite a bit for the money.Seanzilla
Amazing piece of equipment! This mixer is able to send in stereo and record individual tracks on a DAW simultaneously! Perfect for what I do with my project Chase Me, November on YouTube! It tracks songs perfectly, and the on-board effects are nice as well! All of the lights and indicators work very well, and there is never any glitchy noises or glitches in general with this board, which is a stark contrast when compared to my experience with the Tascam Model 12! Overall I like the unit. It is made of plastic, and although that doesn't necessarily mean it is fragile, I don't know if this would really be the right unit for using heavily as a road mixer. For instance, it's billed as being useful as a stand alone mixer, without the recording capability, but I think if you were going to take it to a lot of clubs you'd want to be pretty careful with it. However, I bought it for mainly home use and knew that I wouldn't take it out all that much. That being said, I find it pretty useful with the following caveats. For initial recording your channel must go straight to the track you are recording. So for instance if you wanted to mic a drum kit with 4 mics and route that all to two tracks you couldn't do it initially. There is a work around though of once you have those 4 drum tracks, you can do a mix to the master fader (which has it's own track), you can export that to a USB stick and then drop it back on the stereo channels, freeing up your initial 4 drum tracks. For my workflow this sort of replaces "ping ponging" on other units. I Another thing is that it doesn't have phantom power for each individual mic input, it has two groups of 4 channels that can have phantom power on or off. This means that if you want to use all 8 mic inputs at once, and you have 5 condenser mics and 3 dynamic mics you have an issue, because you have phantom power going to all of them. I don't usually plan on using all of them at once though. Pros: I like the compatibility of using it to record, dropping tracks on a USB stick and then plugging into my computer and dropping them in my DAW. Also, I think you can record simultaneously to the unit while using it as an audio interface, so you'd have a back-up recording. I haven't used the audio interface, but it seems to work. When recording in 96K it disables effects and EQ on playback Bottom line? I'd say it's good for small home studios that want to use it in conjunction with a computeM. Munson

WOW! I'm a professional sound man with 40 years experience with top of the line bands. I have mixed on Midas consoles and the Behringer X32 has me blown away.I have yet to find anything I don't like. Construction is very good, and I'm very Impressed with the sound it does have a Midas quality to the it. The input preamp is very forgiving and has a clip detector that lets you run up to clip without audible hearing the clipping . The routing is very versatile and the interface carries 32 in and out of the computer Glitch free.The X control software is great and allows one to control the console in the background. The Soundcraft Ui24R is the BEST mixer I have ever owned. I have been a gigging drummer/musician for 38 years. This mixer has everything you would need. I have used other digital mixers from PreSonus and Behringer and this Soundcraft mixer blows the others out of the water. On their website they give you a demo of the interface for both a tablet and phone. The pre-amps and effects sound amazing! Even the first 2 channels have Digitech amps built in for guitar and bass. I typically use them for practice so my guitar player and bassist don't have haul amps to rehearsal. I love the fact that there are 8 AUX outs for monitors with the capability of having 10 AUX outs. Oh and did I mention this is an Audio interface as well? You can also record straight to a thumb drive from the mixer. Lets get to the interface/connectivity. It is the most user friendly interface I've used. Everything you need at your finger tips and there is no guessing. Other digital mixers require you to download an app in order to operate the mixer which creates problems on certain devices (sometimes Apple works best, sometimes Android works best). Soundcraft does NOT require an app. You simply connect any device (that has wifi and the ability to access a browser) to the mixers hotspot and bam you're connected to the mixer. Open up a browser of your choosing (Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox) and type in the magic website and you are in. In 2 years I have only had one connection issue since I've owned this mixer and it was corrected by changing the wifi channel on the mixer to a channel that wasn't full of other devices in the area. Since then, there have been no issues at all! If you are still worried about connection issues, you can plug a monitor into the mixer via HDMI and a USB mouse/keyboard to operate the mixer without connecting to any network at all. I love the fact that you can save scenes/snapshots mixes. So if you're at a club and it sounds amazing, just save it so the next time you play that venue, call it up so there will be minimal adjustments as far as mixing goes. Another great feature is having the ability to adjust the "view" of channels. So if your playing a venue and not using all 20 inputs, you can create a custom view that only show the inputs/outputs/effects you are using. If you don't believe that this is the best mixer, do your own research. Go to Soundcraft's website and read about it. Go to YouTube and watch videos on it. It is truly amazing! If I wasn't on such a tight budget, I'd probably buy another one as a backup!Jay
Device independent. All you need is a browser. I've used android, windows and an iPad to run it. All of them work beautifully and each device runs it exactly the same way. Much more user friendly than mackie or behringer. Great sound as well. The ui24 is the model to get out of that family of boards because of the Excellent preamps. Out of the box the installation was simple enough. When we first used it at our church we loved it. Removed the need for a snake from our old system and this sitting on stage and you being able to control it anywhere was amazing. A week in and we encounter the first "disconnection" on it so we bought a router for it. Set up again was not difficult and it's just a one time set up. It's served it's purpose well but I can't help to feel disappointed after 3 years. The first symptoms were connection loss to usb stick. Sometimes it wouldn't recognize the usb… another symptom, it would RESET all of our settings out of the blue for no reason. We'd come one day, turn it on, to find all of our mix settings rested. We'd have to manually load them. After couple of weeks this became an everyday thing. Now whatever settings we'd try to save, they just wouldn't stay in the mixers memory. Whatever scene we had PRIOR to this issue would still be there, but anything NEW we'd try to save into it just would not save. Not to mention the usb ports used to UPGRADE or DOWNGRADE firmware do not work anymore, so if it's a software issue, I have no way of RESETTING to factory firmware on it since the usb ports don't work anymore. Sadly no warranty past 3 years and gc coverage was only 2 years so now we are left with a piece of gear sitting in a shop somewhere waiting to be fixed while we have to use a secondary small mixer to serve our needs while the unit gets fixed. Have not had a word on the shop of HOW MUCH it will cost… but our studiolive we had served us for so many years and still kicking at a secondary room at church.. it breaks my heart a lil because it's soundcraft. I was expecting a lot more quality on the product. If you want a mixer that will last a long time, I'd look at a different brand and try your luck there. First, I've used Yamaha gear for 30+ years, and they make solid stuff, so I feel confident it will last. I like the first two channels a lot. Those two stereo channels, not so much. No control but volume, but I make it work for my solo/duo gigs. There's a little more hiss than I would like, but it's bearable for live shows. Wouldn't be confident to use for recording. Overall, though, nice reverb, and I like that the outs aren't 1/4" like some of the inexpensive mixers. The compact size is terrific; slips in a pocket of my gig bag, easy set-up, simple to use.TGB
Bought this a couple years ago (I think from GC) to facilitate multi-keyboard setup. Great for mixing boards and vocal, so I could actually hear my keys and vocals through my monitor even if the (ahem) guitarist or (AHEM!) drummer could not. Pluses: simplicity, which is nice to starters. And it's no larger than it needs to be, so it can be placed on a stool or chair under the keys, or on a stand (I used one of those mini-stands that clips onto the mike stand). Minus: I don't know how noisy other mixers are, but this does add a small amount of hiss (compared to running the keys straight into the monitor). Not a deal-breaker, but it does make me wonder why these other reviewers praise it for being quiet. Again, it's small, but there's definitely a difference. Hence 4-stars instead of 5. Either plus or minus: uses the same power adapter as the Yamaha MX series. For me, a plus — I'd be happy if everything used the same kind of power supply, like computer cords. Also, while there is nothing designated as subwoofer out, I find I can run the headphone out to a bass amp, and thus add just the right amount of low end. Random: seems pretty durable — I pack it into a case along with other misc supplies (pedals, cords, mikes etc). Not noticeably affected by dust so I expect it's roadworthy. Most significantly, perhaps, is that I'm thinking to upgrade to a larger version of the same board, so I must be happy with it.JPrisco
I bought this for stand-up gigging where I use a guitar, drum machine, and keyboard. I was wary of it because I needed the built-in reverb to be decent and the price is pretty low. But all the reviews I read were very positive and so I took the gamble and got one. The reverb passes with flying colors. Using Mogami gold cables for all connections, it produces very low noise. Although the controls are small, they are accurate. I also really like that it has a phantom power switch on the front panel. I would say its perfect for live gigging and even demo recording and I'm very picky. My recording gear and mics cost many thousands of dollars.Bartlioni

I recently bought this board, and let me tell you, this board is everything and then some. I bought this mixer with the intentions of making my studio versatile, improving my workflow, and being able to accommodate any setting. In just a few short weeks this board had given me that. I’m blown away by the functions and thought that Presonus put into this mixer. This mixer does it all! I spent about 3 weeks researching, analyzing, comparing, and that helped my learning curve when I receive the board. 1.You can use this mixer for live settings with multiple options and routing. 2. In the studio or live recording 64×64 I/O via USB 3. Digital routing options are endless in a studio setting 4. My favorite option, DAW mode. Board turns into a huge control surface. The board is designed for StudioOne, but I’m a Logic Pro X user and it works just fine with my set up and what I need it for. 5. If you like hybrid mixing, you can send your DAW outputs back onto the physical faders of the SL, and you can mix on the board with DSP plugins or route external gear. But the cool thing about this option is you can save scenes in the board if you need to make changes. So no more pictures of the console, studio notes of every session, and trying not to “zero out” your board so you can come back to the mix. But all in all, buying any of the Presonus StudioLive Series III digital mixers would be a wise and smart purchase, especially when dealing with American Musical.
I run a studio. Just swapped out a Behringer X32r for the StudioLive 32r. I like the sound of the presonus better, although I was able to get great sounds out of the Behringer. But Behringer's mixing software is much better. The Presonus mixing software works but it's much more clunky. Some examples: – Behringer's channels are slimmer on screen; you can see more of what's going on at once – I can make several custom views of whichever channels I want in whichever order I want with Behringer. If I can do this with Presonus' software, I don't see how. This would be a GREAT feature to add in a future release. – Behringer's software shows more information about each channel without having to change screens – You can choose where in the signal chain AUX (headphone) sends are taken from with Behringer (including top of the channel, pre insert, post insert, post EQ, pre or post fader. Presonus has a single switch for pre/post only. – When I change screens in the presonus software (and I have to a LOT more than with Behringer's) my channels scroll all the way left and I end up looking at about the 1st 10 channels. I keep having to re-scroll to the right after I say, change a send to a headphone mix and switch back to the main mix view – I can choose the name of any channel from a bank of options, but I can't just type the name of my channel with Presonus (I can with Behringer). – I can control the sends for up to 16 submixes (headphones) from ONE SCREEN with Behringer's software. I have to switch screens each time I change the level of a any single headphone send with Presonus'. Big bummer for me here, especially combined with the scrolling problem above. Very slow.Billy

The Ui16 is a fantastic stage box remote mixer. I have had no issues with latent noise floor or with connections to my wireless devices. It was all fantastic. The problem I have with this device is this. You can only record directly to USB thumb drive and then only the L/R Mains out. This is a significant letdown. I have owned a small Soundcraft Notepad 12fx and purchased a Soundcraft Ui24r for my church and loved them both. Both of them have a USB output for recording into a DAW device. The Ui24 you can even record every channel directly to USB drive. Why then would this Middle of the road between the The Ui24 and the Notepad 12Fx not at the very least provide USB Daw interface? If not for that issue this would be a 5+ star review. Soundcraft responded to my email concern about this with…sorry. There is no plan to fix this.Richard
Installed and tested this unit last week. Results were not what I excepted for a Soundcraft product. The noise floor is quite loud. I had output noise on my speakers from the Aux outputs without the power switch on. The Mains are tolerable but the Aux feeds to my recording PC is poor. Using this for recording Church Services. Only 2 units available in all of North America and I got a noisy one!yourgeeman
Overall: The Soundcraft Ui is a great, convenient, portable mixer. I especially like the fact that you don't need to download & install an app to use it. Just connect to the wifi and control it with your browser by opening a web page. I have not experienced the noisy output (hiss) that some have complained about. But, I have found some major bugs in the user interface (with firmware version V1.0.4246): 1.) MAJOR BUG: Show & Snapshots page hangs/freezes in the Ui touch interface. Phone interface only – the tablet interface web page does not have this issue. The 'OK' & 'Cancel' buttons in the dialog pop-up are unresponsive to touch/tap when saving a new snapshot, or saving the current snapshot, or renaming a snapshot, or deleting a snapshot. This makes navigation impossible and the interface is essentially frozen. For example, when deleting a snapshot, a confirmation dialog pop-up is displayed with 'OK' & 'CANCEL' buttons. But, neither button responds to a touch/tap. There is no other way to exit the delete snapshot dialog and return to mixer view… the entire interface is hung. Browser session must be restarted to at least get control back. Thus, it is impossible to use snapshots with the phone interface. 2.) Normal BUG: The Edge Browser in Windows 10 does not work with a touchscreen display. Mouse control & tapping the touchscreen work fine in the Edge browser. BUT, using the touchscreen to drag faders does not work. 3.) MINOR User Interface issue: Difficult to keep finger on a fader in the phone interface. This behavior has been verified with an iPhone 5s, an Android Nexus 7, and an iPad (all loading the phone interface). The Tablet interface allows my finger to drift off of the fader strip after grabbing and dragging it, keeping control of the fader. BUT, using the Phone interface, fader control is lost when the the touch finger drifts off of the fader strip. I notified Soundcraft more than 3 months ago. Still, they have not been addressed.

Overall: I could not get the mixer to connect with my computer at all. Even after I downloaded the latest driver update I could never get any sound to through my speakers. I managed to connect my pad to the mixer with master fader the first day but the second day ,NOTHING. Controls would not work and the saved settings would not even show up.Really frustrated!!!! My five piece band has been looking for an easy solution that isn't tied to a section of the stage. This can go anywhere on the stage, the WiFi makes it very easy. It's important to take the time to learn the master fader app, but once you do, what a breeze at setup! Easy to ring out the monitors with 6 aux channels and their own mix and eq. Each band Member has restricted acces to their own monitor mix. This enables them to turn up and down any piece of the band! No more yells in the middle of a song saying, "I can't hear myself". The more I get to know the M32R, the more I love it. It's thoughtful design, attention to detail and excellent software make it easy and intuitive to use. Couple that to the quality and warmth of the Midas pre-amps produce a very good sound. What's not to love….. well nothing that I can think of. Not only was the cost from AC fantastic value (being a good 100 less than any other supplier), but the 50M of Cat5 makes it outstanding value. Coming from a Qu-32, this new mixer addressed nearly every small shortcoming and feature I had wished the Qu had. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED my Qu-32, but as is always the case, I had a few small nit-pickings that simply weren't possible to be addressed with the hardware contained in the Qu. The first is the ability to fully patch any input and output to anywhere, either physically on the board or on a remote stage box, AND you can split signal to send it to more than one location with this board! The second is the scribble strips; no more magnets on the board! The third is 8 effects engines (over the 4 that the Qu had). This means I can now have four effects on returns that may be used across a number of channels, and still have 4 dedicated as inserts as specialty effects for a specific channel. The fourth is really huge: the ability to patch in OUTBOARD GEAR as an insert!! Amazing board; just get one!D.J.
I purchased the A&H SQ6 to be installed in a major church sound system upgrade. The SQ6 was selected for the features as well as the ease of operation considering we have a number of volunteers involved in the AV work at the church. Installation was a breeze with minor reference to the online manual. I have used a number of digital consoles by Behringer (X32 & XR series), Midas (M32), Presonus and Yamaha (TF & QL) so I'm knew my way around the setup process. The big surprise came when our volunteers picked up almost immediately on the layout and operation of the board after many years spent on an analog Peavey console! I've recently moved from a Presonus Digital rig to the SQ6 for my personal live console and have been very, very happy! Great board with many versatile features. A+++++

I researched to look for a mixer board to record to my computer and small to medium performances, under 500 people. Larger concerts I contract the sound out, that use the latest digital boards and related equipment. I like the ease this board to connect and portability. I'll just get my one complaint out of the way. The inputs after 1 and 2 are arranged funny on the board (less intuitive) and I'd love for this to be better for plugging in three guitars at once, for easy switching between them (I use different tunings). But, mostly, that's all on my less than masterful understanding of mixers. Which leads me into one of the reasons this board is awesome: Even I can use it! You can be a novice with sound (I always hire someone) and this board is still pretty intuitive. And, while I use a 2i2 interface for online teaching and the like, I use this board for livestreams. I picked it up partially because I wanted effects without a DAWS, but the multi-channel aspect also makes it possible for me to use this for live sound for my trio. Get this! First off, I bought this, tried it out and returned it because I needed more than two mic pres and wanted direct outs. You need one of the larger units for that so I bought the 12 channel version and am keeping it. A new class of USB interfaces has hit the market delivering near-zero latency without special apps to mimic the effect. A blend knob mixes the signal from your Mac/PC with the output while tracking. Mackie and many companies have just begun shipping 2–18 channel desktop units but the ProFxv3 is the only traditional flat mixer series with the same functionality built in (so far?). They’re available between 6–30 channels . This is the channel version. I bought this to use with a MacBook Pro to use as for remote recording. 2 Onyx pres under $150 plus 4 line inputs (2×2) that you can use with any DAW without special compensation. Uses core audio drivers (Mac only) or the downloadable drivers (PC). Works exactly as advertised — no reason for me to elaborate. You can download two DAWs but I have no need and will never test that. It will work with your favorite recording app if you have one. It’s a Mackie mixer with the normal, excellent performance. Built like a tank, many routing options etc. In that regards not as flexible as the other mixer line but those don’t have the recording interface built in. No direct outputs on the mic pres (unlike the larger models). All in a package weighing less than 3 lb. What’s not to like? It has more inputs and more controls than the new desktop boxes in the under $200 range just announced or shipping from Mackie, MOTU, Steinberg, M-Audio, Focusrite, NI, Behringer etc. If I didn’t want more mic pres, I would have kept it.
BEWARE the 5&6 channel, does not get sent to the monitor bus at ANY TIME. The USB 1&2 OUT channel cannot be sent to the main mix at ANY TIME. I bought this mixer after reading the Mackie advertising that implied this was a flexibly routed mixer that has 2x USB stereo output busses. Well it does, but they're useless for what I was hoping to do which was a live setup of: Vox Ch1, Guit Ch2, Hardware keys Channel 3&4, Drum M/c Channel 5&6, IPAD Software synth or backing track via usb 1&2. Prior to purchase I did spot that the USB 3&4 OUT were switched with hardware 5&6, but I didn't spot until reading block diagram closely (after purchase – grrr), neither mode of this channel ever makes it to the monitor (headphone mix). Equally unfathomable is that the USB 1&2 OUT can be switched on or off to headphones but NEVER sent to the main mix. So if you're thinking of sending your iPad synth to main 1&2, or listening to anything coming in on Channel 5&6 in the cans (not even usb synths), forget about it! This seriously limits the usefulness of this mixer and I'm seriously disappointed with Mackie (I have a couple of their mixers and studio monitors) who I used to think were pretty good. Big thumbs down on this expensive white elephant. There are several other small mixer from Yamaha, Allen &Heath & Studiocraft that I'll look more closely at next time rather than Mackie.johninbrisvegas

WOW! I'm a professional sound man with 40 years experience with top of the line bands. I have mixed on Midas consoles and the Behringer X32 has me blown away.I have yet to find anything I don't like. Construction is very good, and I'm very Impressed with the sound it does have a Midas quality to the it. The input preamp is very forgiving and has a clip detector that lets you run up to clip without audible hearing the clipping . The routing is very versatile and the interface carries 32 in and out of the computer Glitch free.The X control software is great and allows one to control the console in the background. This is incredible. Fantastic German engineering and a high quality product. The motorized faders move effortlessly and the electronic scribble pads are an ease to use. What can I say? There are so many bells and whistles I'd be here for the next two days going through all of them. I highly recommend watching the tutorial videos on YouTube. There are a mountain of good reviews on you tube about the x32, so I’ll not try to go into a full on review. However, if you’re in the market for a digital desk with good, clean preamps, loads of connectivity, a well thought out operating system that’s easy to use, and lots of other useful features not always found on desks double the money (good built in effects, wireless connectivity, integration with daws, etc), then I’d highly recommend looking at the x32. Behringer used to have a reputation for shoddy gear, but not any more. This desk does what is says it’s going to on the tin and does it very well.
X32 Core has the same power as it's flagship big brother X32, racked it up with the Behringer S32 snake and Ka-Pow! I can do shows with a small rack of gear that fits in the passenger seat of my truck! I've also paired it up with my larger flagship Behringer X32 and using it for dedicated monitor mixes. Best of all I can take it home and experiment with the settings and transfer them to my other flagship Behringer X32. Totally impressive!jbwproductions

This is a very capable mixer for desktop use. 4 busses allow a lot of versatility with how audio is routed. I upgraded from a relatively compact mixer so having actual faders for each channel is nice as is having a dedicated ON toggle for each. Everything seems of high quality and they've even figured out a way to prevent a loud pop on power on/off. I will say that it is a large mixer at 12 x 16 inches. Mine just arrived today and it seems great! It's metal and heavier than I expected, which is great. It feels very study and well built. The knobs are a big step up from the MG10 and feel fantastic…very sturdy and smooth. Insanely easy to use. I'm moving from a tablet controlled digital mixer to this. Absolutely love this mixing desk for a number of reasons. Firstly I can say from experience (having owned a smaller version for many years and hundreds of gigs) that these mixers are incredibly reliable, the sound quality is outstanding (Yamaha use the same high quality components as they do on their large desks), the one-knob compressors on the first four channels are very effective and ideal particularly for vocals or guitars to keep the levels under control, the effects unit sounds amazing and has a wide range of useful effects besides reverbs and delays, there is no bespoke power supply, just a simple IEC kettle type lead, so no problem if that breaks to replace it. The main output sockets are XLR and jack (and you can simultaneously use both), with a separate group out for monitor speakers There's a lot more you could say and if you want a full tech spec, I would read through the official one. But personally I do think these are the best mixers for the money and I wouldn't consider going with alternative (just my opinion and experience – I'm sure there are other great mixers out there too – not dissing them). This is my second small Yamaha mixer because previously I had the smaller version of this one for a lot of years and it was fantastic and completely reliable but unfortunately it got damaged when it was knocked to the floor – so I had to replace it and decided to go with this larger version which is superior in a number of ways, besides the additional channels, having faders rather than knobs for the channel levels.antroid

I was a performer and Sound Engineer for a world class drumcorps this summer. Yamaha hooked our corps up with a brand new PA, including this TF3. I found the board to be very straight forward, very customizable, and very reliable. Grouping was simple to do, assigning additional outputs for subwoofer amps was easy, customer layering was a breeze. I do wish having EQ and other effects on groups were easier to do with this board, DCA's vs VCA's would be nice, but a simple aux buss routing trick worked fine. Also I felt the fader motors were alittle slow, and wish the screen could be made abit brighter than it's max setting. The preamps sounded good, and EQ and FX all sounded fine! I see no reason why their board wouldn't be good for studio work! It survived 2 months of daily use in 100+ degree heat outdoors for 16 hour days and never gave us an issue. I've used Yamaha boards like the 01v96i, LS9 (32), and M7CL and the TF series is just as good in quality!Will
I'm using this in my home studio and my recordings have never sound better. The room tuning capabilities are great. The faders are smooth though I wish the fader knobs were made of a some type of light metal. The routing is straight forward and the effects are very nice. It's not perfect, but for the price it's really hard to beat. I am using this for live sound and purchased it to replace an analog 16 channel RCF mixer which is just too big to cart around. I tried this thing and was hooked IMMEDIATLY. I have 4 vocal mics and 2 acoustic guitars plugged in and I can adjust the volumes and tweak the monitor mix in the middle of a song. The faders aren't motorized and I'm fine with that given the price. I was expecting poor quality faders but these are solid. I have been using it for a few weeks and continue to be impressed by it. It would be nice if the FLOW software had a way to load the profiles to a cloud based account to download to another device in the event that there's an issue. I'm still giving it 5 stars based on the overall value.
I bought this as I am getting into using hardware synths, drum machines, etc. and I needed an audio interface with more inputs. The flow8 has surpassed my expectations. Mic preamps are great with low noise. Latency is low. Mixer very easy to setup. I am even able to use the monitor outputs to send audio/cv to my semi modular synths eg. Behringer Crave can become a multi oscillator synth with FM an d an extra tempo sync LFO using VCV rack/max for live etc. On board FX sound as good as any of the plugins I use and I now love playing without using my pc at all. Would be a great mixer for a small band or musician playing live. Seems ridiculous value for money when you consider all it can do. Love it.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Excellent little mixer. Small low cost mixers tend to have non replaceable pots and faders so this appealed due to very few moving parts. The build is excellent very robust. Only pity is the use of a Micro USB for power (separate USB B for audio). The feature set is unbeatable for the money with 8 inputs but more importantly extensive EQ on every input and output and also on the BT/USB and Monitor buses. The two Monitors can be separate for band use (i.e. different mix for two wedges). Plus there is (good sounding) compression and output limiting. There are two FX processors although as usual the second one is chorus/delay type effects that only an acoustic duo etc are likely to use. The reverb is not world beating but perfectly ok for live use. The App can be slightly fiddly to use on a phone but works well. The mixer remembers all settings (plus you have snapshots) so I found that actually once set up I could edit everything needed from the the front panel (bar EQ). One thing I hadn't really realised was how useful the USB audio is. You can either send the main mix post fader/eq etc to the USB or you can send the main mix pre fader/eq plus all 8 inputs seperately. The latter is super useful for recording a band mix plus all sources independently for tweaking later. In summary this mixer can work very well for both live use and recording making it super flexible. The only improvements to this (Flow-16 anyone?) would be the second FX also supporting reverb, a more robust power connector and more inputs for those that need it. More monitor outputs would be allways be nice (same on all mixers really) as nowadays IEMs make it possible for all band members to have a separate monitor mix.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

The only reason I can’t give this a 5 is the undependability of the WiFi access. It’s pretty tough to gig and not be able to count on your device to connect and stay connected. Sure sure, you can just keep a router with you but seriously… I thought it was designed to do just that. Anyway on to the good.
So many great features packed in that I haven’t even broached half of what it’s capable of. It’s compact and just has great playability. I would definitely recommend it.Donnie Howard
As many have noted these X Air mixers are nothing short of AMAZING ! You get an entire rack of gear in a small rack-mount or desk-top system that would cost a small fortune to duplicate with individual parts. That said it is a sophisticated piece of technology that has a Learning Curve unless you are already the Ultimate Sound Guy. WATCH the videos on YouTube (All Of Them) and most of your questions will be answered. Learn how to route and equalize 1 channel and the rest is pretty easy. Use a dedicated laptop to setup your network and soundboard… many adjustment can be made with a tablet or phone but initial setup is much easier with a laptop and mouse. X Air Edit is a FREE download that works with PC, OS and Linux and it is small (10meg) and uses very little in the way of system resources. Put a password on your network so others don't have the opportunity to "Help" you. With your own network in place you should have no problems with tablets and other devices dropping out and effecting your mix. Connect your laptop to the system with a cat5 cable for a connection that can't be interfered with in high RF rooms. Use your tablet or phone to adjust room mix from out in the room as needed If you choose to record use a hard drive not a jump drive as jump drives have no buffering system and files are saved in WAV format (large files). SAVE your work when you get a nice setup for a specific room and next time you just load the scene. I will be buying another soon. Excellent Product at a Great Price !! I'm professional solo artist with about 200-220 shows a year. I've used the X-Air at every single gig with no issues. I use an iPad for odd requests so having the mixer app open simultaneously is super easy. My rig doesn't change much so I bribed a sound engineer friend with Jameson to EQ my setup during a set. I saved his settings (compression, eq, effects, etc) as a baseline so that at every gig I have little to no changes to sound great. The only downside is the built-in wifi is garbage. I plug in a cheap external router and then no worries. I definitely suggest buying the Gator carrying case for protection. If it's worth gigging with, it's worth casing. The 4 AUX outs are great. In band situations I use one AUX for a subwoofer line and still have 3 different monitor mixes that each musician can control from an app on their phone. "You want more you? Do more you." At this price point it's a no-brainer. Save each venue as a separate, recallable scene. Was skeptical about the Behringer name before I bought this 3 years ago, as a B-stock no less, but now a full fledged cheerleader.WJC
