This stuff is the best sealer available. I fixed an 18 yr. old RV that I ran through a wicked hail storm. No leaks, its awesome! Before starting to seal wash thoroughly with a good detergent like Dawn. Rinse well and patch tears and holes, seams, and cracks with RV Roof sealer tape. Then put on as many coats as you think it needs ….( the more the better). Allow 3-5 hrs cure time between coats depending on temperature/humidity. Update; After a year of brutal Texas weather this coating is still looking like new. UV resistance is great and its staying pliant. No leaks or checking from shrinkage. Im very satisfied with this product. Update-; I had softball/grapefruit size hail that beat all the windows out of my house, and the RV. Busted the windshields out of my vehicles also. 8 days later baseball size hail again broke the windshields that were replaced. The HENGS roof on that RV is 100% ok. Very easy to put on. Consistency of thick latex paint. Rolls on just like paint. Brush on around protrusions in roof and then roll on the rest of the roof. I put two coats on and had about a quarter of a gallon left on approximately 192 sq. ft. first coat was fairly thin, but I think that helps it adhere a little better to the roof. Time will tell how it holds up. Seems to be a good product.henkemm
Bought to cover my rubber rv roof. (1995 37ft class A) A tech told me to put my rubber roof coat on first, then apply the tape for patches. Well, that was going to look tacky, and I was in the middle of the winter sand blowing season of Palm Springs! The one piece I put on as a test was submerged in sand in one night, and getting fuzzy. So I sealed ALL the rips and seams in the patch tape. Then I covered it all with 2 gallons of Rubber Roof Coat. (Should have used 4 gallons, but will do that over summer) Major improvement. My roof doesn't look horrible from the ground anymore, it is much harder to spot my patches, and all is holding up well. Went on like paint, and I used a nap roller for application. As my roof was pretty far gone and almost solid black, it is a bit grey in some spots but I can walk on my roof again in direct sun without baking.P.

Really excellent stuff. Not sure why it says a 5 gallon bucket will only do a 32' rig, though. I bought the 5 gallon pale for my 31' RV and even with two coats I barely used half of it and that was me pouring the stuff on fairly liberally. Covers well and dries fast. Seems to bond well to my rubber roof and should extend its life for years to come.Amy

We have had leaks occurring around the dormers on our roof for several years. We have hired people who have caulked around them and stopped the leaks for a little while, but they always returned. The last time we had the roof examined, we were told that the roof (replaced after Hurricane Katrina) was installed incorrectly- the shingles were nailed with a gun using too much pressure, and the shingle placement was wrong, and left gaps- leading two roofers to tell us we needed a whole new roof, which would mean spending $8000-10000.00. We looked for other, less expensive alternatives, and found this product online. We applied the product this past Saturday, just ahead of 3 days of rain. There have been no leaks thus far, and our plan is to buy more Through the Roof and coat most of the shingles to prevent future leaks. We are hopeful that our roof problems have been solved. We have a lot of storage units on our property, most with flat roofs. We have used the Henry Dura-Brite product for the last 15 years. We use it to seal-up and protect the roofs from the damaging effects of the weather, to help ensure that our storage clients don't end up with a leaky roof. We get a lot of hail and heavy rains in the summer, so we re-coat the roofs every three years. It isn't that hard, you can either roll it on with a roller, or spray it on with a paint spraygun. We have applied it either way and it goes on easily but thickly. The coating has a rubbery feel to it. Hail bounces right off without dinging-up the metal. You could buy Flex-seal, but one gallon of Flex-Seal costs the same as FIVE gallons of Henry Dura-Brite. Under most circumstances, the obvious choice is the Henry Dura-Britesourcepage

Product is what its suppose to be. Koo seal has a good repetition. However the shipping was another story. First can I ordered was shipped correctly, With foam to support the can and clips on the lid so it wouldn't pop open. No issues what so ever. I ordered a second can. One wasn't enough. This one came with issues. The can had been placed in an oversized box with NO foam or anything to support it or clips for the lid. Needless to say. It was damaged and leaked all in the box. I called Walmart. They were quick to say they replace it right away. No issues with customers service, However this review is before it has arrived, So we shall see how this one arrives.CapeFeargy

received the roof coating yesterday, the shipping box arrived in fine condition no damage signs, opened box and removed the coating can, it looks like it was used as a football all dented up (see attached photos) , the can is still sealed in the plastic shipping bag. Titebond WeatherMaster Metal Sealant gets the job done. We used it to seal around plumbing vent pipes on our roof, replacing older sealant that had started to separate. Make sure your area is clean of loose debris and dry before application to assure a good result. You may need to make more than one pass to be sure your gaps are completely filled. It's a little tricky to work with so if you are working in an area where your sealant seams will show, you may want to do a little practice making smooth lines of sealant first. In our case, it was on a roof, so pretty wasn't critical, just filling in gaps around the vent pipes. It sets up fast and the instructions say you can paint over it with a high-quality acrylic water based paint two hours after application. It is supposed to expand and contract with changes in temperature and not crack, which makes it ideal for our needs. And we were able to test the water seal right away since two days after we applied it we had a major rainstorm that dumped over 2 inches of rain in a half hour. Not a drop got through with all that rain, so the application was definitely a success.Kiki R
This metal sealant works really well and hold well, it’s easy to apply and so far I haven’t had any issues. I’ve used the sealant around the house, I applied it around my kitchen sink because I noticed there was water dripping under my sink but I didn’t know why until I realized the edges around the sink didn’t have sealant and water was penetrating through there. This Titebond WeatherMaster Metal Sealant works perfect. I am a self employed contractor, I do everything from floors to windows, doors, roofing, Siding, etc. There was a time when silicone was used to seal everything. Although it will stop water from getting in for awhile, it also can trap water in the area. Along with not being adhesive to every material. Specifically metal. We do alot of metal, roofing, Fascia, gutters, etc. A good metal sealant is hard to find. Most work temporarily but will fail eventually. However, since trying this Titebond WeatherMaster Metal Sealant, I am confident this is the product to use for now on. Not only does it seal and keep water out, it actually blends and looks good on the metal. It comes out of the tube very soft and malleable, but not watery, or running. It can be smoothed into cracks and seams effortlessly. And dries to fill the gap not looking like a pile of gunk or patch. It looks very professional when used properly. The polymer allows it to dry and stay firm but elastic to change with weather conditions expansion or contraction. Another fun fact I have learned, is that it can be applied in any condition. Rain, sleet, snow it will still adhere and setup. Making this the only "real" metal sealant on the market that I would trust to use on my customers homes.

This coating lasted 3 years and still like new and on my opposite side i decided to coat rather than a new roof cost of $16,000 Lanco Siliconizer with extras $1450 big difference = 3 coats with roller then a coat of Dyco pool deck paint to add color …. sealed up nice and waterproof! Lanco patch and crack sealer a must. Awsome products and will stick to any surface but give time to dry 4-6 hours for roof coating and 2-4 days for patch … then recoat and your done. Make sure you do it on a sunny day and do it out in the sun. i started in the shade and the paint would not dry. as soon as i moved it to the sun it dried within an hour. i had heavy due that night. i used canvas drop cloths and covered my roof and product cured without an issue.John W
My RV roof probably has never been recoated in 14 years. I applied the cleaner/activator after blowing all the debris off. Used a sprayer to apply. Let dry. Then put first coat on. Day was getting late, but I applied second coat as darkness was setting in. Let dry for a while and then covered with plastic. Removed plastic the next day. Roof looks like new. BTW, using a pressure-washer is highly recommended.ollie194747

Used this product twice now. Once in mid July heat to seal a mysterious hole that suddenly became apparent over my laundry room, and now to fix a tree limb puncture on my garage roof. Somewhat tough to spread in cold weather, even when making sure to keep the tube at room temp. However, product works great! No leaks so far, and easy to use. I've used a fibered asphalt product manufactured by Henry that is very similar. The RR-808 however is both Miami-Dade County Approved for adhering shingles against hurricane force winds as well as an asphalt roofing cement that meets ASTM D4586. Dries dull black to match three tab shingles. Does seem to stick shingles down with a little more strength than the Henry but they are both slow drying. Very handy to seal vents, valleys and shingles that have broken their adhesive bonds. Shingles can be rated for 50 years but valleys and vent openings don't usually stay sealed for more than 20. Seems more practical to just seal the leak rather than paint the whole roof? Only downside to these asphalt based sealers is that they have a limited shelf life of about a year before they start to stiffen up and once you open the cartridge its better to just use the entire 10 oz.Andrew

Titebond WeatherMaster Metal Sealant gets the job done. We used it to seal around plumbing vent pipes on our roof, replacing older sealant that had started to separate. Make sure your area is clean of loose debris and dry before application to assure a good result. You may need to make more than one pass to be sure your gaps are completely filled. It's a little tricky to work with so if you are working in an area where your sealant seams will show, you may want to do a little practice making smooth lines of sealant first. In our case, it was on a roof, so pretty wasn't critical, just filling in gaps around the vent pipes. It sets up fast and the instructions say you can paint over it with a high-quality acrylic water based paint two hours after application. It is supposed to expand and contract with changes in temperature and not crack, which makes it ideal for our needs. And we were able to test the water seal right away since two days after we applied it we had a major rainstorm that dumped over 2 inches of rain in a half hour. Not a drop got through with all that rain, so the application was definitely a success.Kiki R
This metal sealant works really well and hold well, it’s easy to apply and so far I haven’t had any issues. I’ve used the sealant around the house, I applied it around my kitchen sink because I noticed there was water dripping under my sink but I didn’t know why until I realized the edges around the sink didn’t have sealant and water was penetrating through there. My husband has also used it outside to seal some things and it has hold well. So far we haven’t had any issues and it worked as promised.DianaR11
This Titebond WeatherMaster Metal Sealant works perfect. I am a self employed contractor, I do everything from floors to windows, doors, roofing, Siding, etc. There was a time when silicone was used to seal everything. Although it will stop water from getting in for awhile, it also can trap water in the area. Along with not being adhesive to every material. Specifically metal. We do alot of metal, roofing, Fascia, gutters, etc. A good metal sealant is hard to find. Most work temporarily but will fail eventually. However, since trying this Titebond WeatherMaster Metal Sealant, I am confident this is the product to use for now on. Not only does it seal and keep water out, it actually blends and looks good on the metal. It comes out of the tube very soft and malleable, but not watery, or running. It can be smoothed into cracks and seams effortlessly. And dries to fill the gap not looking like a pile of gunk or patch. It looks very professional when used properly. The polymer allows it to dry and stay firm but elastic to change with weather conditions expansion or contraction. Another fun fact I have learned, is that it can be applied in any condition. Rain, sleet, snow it will still adhere and setup. Making this the only "real" metal sealant on the market that I would trust to use on my customers homes.

I have just completed painting the entire outside of my house with Black Jack Ultra-Roof 1000. On new stucco which took a very long time, I used a paint brush. The roller just missed to many spots on the new stucco. I did at least 2 coats. The roller was fine on the rest on the old painted parts of the house. This stuff helped to hide everything. The cracks were filled in well. The missing paint chips were hidden. The color in the bucket dried to a different color. Which worked out well. The wife loved the pastel color yellow. The color in the bucket was a exact match for my home. But after it dried it was darker and yellow. The color in the bucket was almond like my house was. Ace hardware mixed it well. But as the bucket says it turns to a pastel color( after it dries). It took about 14 buckets to paint my house which is 3700 square feet two story. The only bad thing is it marks easy. The kids hit it with a toy it leaves a mark. I painted the gutters, telephone wires, the edge of the shingles that hung over, and the wood around the windows.castle house
I read you can use this product on camper roofs, I applied on my EPDM camper roof last May, this month (March) I was up on roof to check roof seams and almost ALL of this roof coating washed off! I was super disappointed as product label says it works on camper roofs, I assume they meant metal, but it didn't specify.horseladyy
