20 Best Moisture For Combination Skin (Jan 2023 Update)

i love this moisturizer for various reasons. on top of having amazing ingredients, this is one of two moisturizers that work perfectly with my combo skin– providing sufficient hydration to moisturize the dry parts but also being light enough to not turn my t-zone into an oil slick. this is also an all-year-rounder for me, being perfect for all seasons. can't really ask for much more than that. to address all the reviews that stated it burned, this product does contain lactic & citric acid which are AHAs and are meant to help exfoliate the skin for a soft & supple look, on top of helping to fade any pigmentation or scarring. if you are new to chemical exfoliants, i can imagine that you will feel this. for the aficionados, you likely won't feel a thing. side note: even though i am constantly burning the skin on my face off, i do get some strange tingling/numbing sensation within the first minute of application if i haven't used it for a while. i disregard this as it goes away and nothing bad has ever happened.kn24

I got this moisturizer because it's one of the only brands with good EWG scores. I wasn't expecting much because on the whole I don't think clean beauty delivers as good results as regular skincare, but this surpassed my expectations in every way! I have rosacea and quite sensitive, very dry skin. Despite this, I hate creamy creams so I'm always looking for a gel moisturizer that still packs a punch. I've been using this throughout the Chicago winters (harsh winds and dry heating) and my skin has stayed dewy and plump. I would never normally apply a moisturizer without cleansing my skin first, but on my laziest days I felt I could apply this just throughout the day because it's non irritating and would never break me out. My skin used to be so dry it would get tiny bumps all over as a coping mechanism / to hold onto moisture and they've completely gone since using this product. This also doesn't pill no matter what I put underneath. I've used different vitamin c serums, acids (lactic, Glycolic etc), different hydrating serums and different eye serums all together (like 5 layers) and it has never pilled! Some clean products don't hold up well over time, but travelled to Brazil with hot temperatures and dipped my fingers in here at the gym, in the airpirt and different hotels over the course of 4 months and the color, consistency, smell and efficacy is the same as when I first opened it. During the hot days this was enough to hydrate my combination skin but during the colder months I had to use a thicker cream over this at night. Overnight my skin would calm I would wake to less irritated skin that was more supple soft. By week 4 my skin started to have a reaction. I’ve said it in many reviews my skin isn’t sensitive. I use strong actives weekly with no issue. But my skin started to get hot red after I put on. Two days later I started to break out. I still have red spots/scars from it that I’m trying to fade. That said, everyone’s skin is different so this could work for you one of the great things about Biossance is that they use recyclable packaging, which is always a plus when purchasing beauty products. PROS: – Lightweight – Absorbs well – Moisturizes skin well – Cooling and soothing – Leaves skin feeling soft and more supple CONS: – Contains silicone – It caused me to breakout week 4 – Turned skin hot and red week 4 – Slightly sticky under fully absorbed – Price. The first time I use the pore perfecting serum cream, I applied it immediately before going outside to tan because it contains SPF30. My face was extremely slick with grease once I got outside in the heat. Luckily I was just tanning to get colour and not seeing people or else I would have been very embarrassed with my appearance. I like that it is vegan, has SPF and is a serum/cream combination. Maybe it would be better for the winter because it is too greasy for the hot sunny summer for me, even though it has a light texture. I am surprised it is for oily/combination skin. There is a slight sunscreen smell and I think the greasiness I felt was also mostly from the sunscreen addition. I guess this would be good if you are going for the dewey look…but it definitely came out as greasy on me. I have been using this serum as part of my daily skincare routine for the past three weeks. I apply it all over my face after cleansing. I have combination skin and this does not leave a film or leave my skin felling greasy. I’ve used this sunscreen for a few months now. It takes a bit to absorb and makes me look a little greasy for a little while and has a bit of a white cast, but eventually evens it out. The only problem I’ve had with it is that it’s been pilling on my face which looks disgusting. However I do like the convenience of having a 3-in-1 and adding some extra moisture to my face. It’s also one of the only SPF’s I’ve tried that hasn’t caused me to break out. Overall, just kinda decent. Definitely some pros and cons to consider.Abbi

Full disclosure I was entirely prepared to hate this and give it a bad review as it wouldn’t work for me like most others didn’t but I’m so glad I was proved wrong. I’m someone who is sooo picky when it comes to moisturizers because I always hated how thick and oily they felt on my skin. While I do have combination leaning oily skin I was a bit apprehensive on its claims but I truly 100% am loving this. It is super lightweight which is something I always try to find in any moisturizer because I need for it to be lifht right AND effective. It sinks into your skin fairly quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling wet at all. Makes true on its fragrance free promise bc i can’t smell a thing and my skins gotten a bit more sensitive as I got older so that’s great! I’ve been wearing it as my moisturizer under my makeup and I really like how it feels. First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent). I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor). I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred. I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply. When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. I'm not particularly wowed by this product, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I do think this moisturizer lives up to its claims – matte finish, good for oily/combo skin types. My skin used to run on the oily side until I really got into skincare. Now my skin is more normal, though still acne prone.I've been using this moisturizer daily, AM PM. it does the job, but I don't mind a more hydrated look, hell, even feeling more hydrated would be nice too – something I'm not really getting with this moisturizer. If you like a more matte moisturizer, then this one is for you. Texture reminds me of a gel-cream, so not the sticky jelly texture like some gel moisturizers.The design of the cap also isnt the best. one of the two attachments broke after only 2 uses. they're too wide set apart from each other compared to other squeeze tubes that I use. Ive been waiting to review this product because I just wasnt sure about it. If I could, Id give it 3.5 stars. Let me start by saying I have very problematic skin. My skin is super dry and easily irritated. A lot of moisturizers exacerbate my skin problems. I chose this because I thought the oil free formula might give my skin the breathing room it needs. Unfortunately, the product is refreshing but not at all moisturising. If my skin is dry and I apply it, my skin still looks dry and flaky a few minutes after application. It is necessary to use another moisturizer. Luckily, the dramatically different moisturising lotion came in a grab bag I purchased at the same time and I loved it. Ended up buying a large bottles as I was burning through the 50 ml.I use a hyaluronic acid serum under my moisturizer in the evenings, and the hydrating jelly feels a lot like that product. Indeed, hyaluronic acid is one of the key ingredients. If you think of this product as a serum, then its good bang for your buck. Or, if you have oily skin, this could definitely be a good product for you. Ive also tried applying it in the morning under my tinted moisturizer which works okay. However, the jelly does leave behind a slightly sticky residue that is more noticeable when other products are added on top. LISTEN I’ve tried DOZENS of moisturizers for my greasy, oily skin and this one is one of the only ones that doesn’t leave my skin looking like my face was just soaked in oil yet still hydrates and smoothens out my pores and texture. Not sticky at all and it just feels comfortable. Other moisturizers end up feeling greasy after 1-2 hours. This one just feels so clean and absorbs soooo well into the skin. I probably have the most oily skin in the world so trust me when I say this stuff actually controls oil it’s crazy. My skin is olive/tan with hyperpigmentation, acne scars from years ago, large pores, and horomonal acne…the most difficult skin to deal with especially around my period because I get a lot of hormonal breakouts (white heads and cysts). Trust me this stuff is amazing. Just for reference other moisturizers that have also worked for me are the neutrogena hydroboost gel and the drunk elephant peptide something. I have really oily skin and this moisturizing gel works for me. I was hesitant to try Clinique moisturizer again after having a horrible experience with the original lotion a few years ago (I broke out so badly I actually have a few small scars and bumps to this day). But this is very different from the lotion IMO. The gel texture is light and refreshing and doesn’t exacerbate my oily skin; also totally unscented. It’s not mattifying exactly but it doesn’t make extra shine. When I wake up my skin looks and feels soft, not super greasy like most night creams I have tried. I use the Sephora mattifying moisturizer on my face during the day and use this gel on my neck and the two small dry patches I have on my chin. So far this routine is working well for me and I’m really happy with it. I would recommend for oily skin, this comes in a small tube if you just want to try it out.sparkledragon

The texture is amazing and feels heavenly, it's like a whipped cream. And is quite heavy (in a good way). But unfortunately, it irritated the sensitive parts of my face, but then again my skin is pretty reactive. Maybe I used too much? (I used two pea sizes.) I love this moisturizer! I came across it on a YouTube video while looking for hydrating moisturizers. I have combination skin and my skin feels so hydrated after using this. It’s important to note that I pair this with the Laniege hyaluronic revitalizing toner which is also very hydrating. I also use an exfoliating cleanser, Paula’s Choice vitamin C serum and Innisfree sunscreen during the day. I use the moisturizer at night as well with other products. Love the combo! I barely have any breakouts and the ones I’ve had healed sooo fast.Gbemsss

I have never used any product from this brand and this one sadly is a NO for me. PROS: – It doesn’t leave a white cast. – Hydrating cream, with a nice texture (not too thin, not too thick) – It has glycerin,squalane and hyaluronic acid which are great hydrators. – It smells very good. I like scented formulas although it is not necessary. – Clean at Sephora CONS: – This cream doesn’t work with my skincare. It peels. This is a problem for me because I am not going to stop using my skincare, focused on anti-aging, to use this sunscreen. I would use another one on my face and leave this one for my arms. – It is a chemical sunscreen. I don’t have sensitive skin so I can use it but I can’t apply it around my eyes because it makes me tear up and I want sunscreen on that area because it is the most delicate. – If you apply the recommended amount for any sunscreen to be effective at the advertised SPF (1 teaspoon for the face), your will end up with a greasy looking face. It may have been part of the reason for the sunscreen to peel on me. – It has a lot of silicons, which I suspect are another reason for this cream not to work with my skincare. – It has a couple of essential oils. They give the cream a nice minty citrusy smell that I love but it is not necessary. They may be irritating for some so they should just not add them as they don’t provide any sun protection benefits. – I find it a little pricey. I’m sorry that this is a little long but I want to do this product justice because it’s worth it (and I’m a babbler). I have been struggling with dry, sensitive skin for many years now. My skin is dry year round because I just do not produce very much oil. I have spent so much money on expensive skincare trying to find a moisturizer that will work with no luck. I can’t even use Cerave on my face because something in it irritates me. I had recently purchased one of those Sephora $10 deluxe sample bags and realized this was one of the products included in it so I decided to browse the reviews here and they convinced me to try it. No joke, the very first time I put this on my face the heavens opened up and angels started singing! Well, ok that didn’t happen but you get the picture! Immediately my face felt more hydrated than it has for a good 20 years now. I immediately ordered a bigger jar. Not once has this made my sensitive skin sting, even when applying it after I dermaplane with a surgical 10 blade. The instant and long term effects have been nothing short of amazing. I have not had dry patches on my face at all. That in itself is crazy. It plays well with my tretinoin when others make it pill, It absorbs fast enough to be used morning and night, it works wonders with my moringa oil and I have recently added polyglutamic acid with no problems as well. It could be the squalene in it that my skin has needed all these years, not sure, but I cannot believe I waited this long to try this miracle moisturizer. If you have also struggled with dry skin for a long time, I highly recommend giving this moisturizer a try. The texture itself is wonderfully light and non sticky which makes you wonder how on earth it is so moisturizing but it really is. I’m not a big fan of expensive moisturizers with fragrance anymore, I prefer to stick to simple, derm grade skincare like LRP from the drugstore. I was able to get a sample of this with my purchase and I am so glad I did. I fully understand the hype now. My skin is super dry and I have a hard time finding a moisturizer that hydrates, replenishes and moisturizes my skin without breaking me out. This one just feels so nice starting from the texture, how it feels when it’s applied, when it’s dried down, everything. It smells amazing but the fragrance in it or the product itself hasn’t broke me out which is amazing. I’m not sure how to describe the consistency either but it feels very cloud like, soft, and lightweight but deeply hydrating. I’m def considering buying the full-size now, the only reason why I took 1 star off is because of the price point but it’s Glow Recipe and all their products are around this price range. If you’re willing to splurge on a good moisturizer this one is an amazing option. Also a huge bonus, it looks and feels amazing under makeup which is a plus point for me because I usually buy one for wearing underwear makeup and one for when i don’t wear makeup. This is one of the best moisturizers I have ever tried! Absolutely amazing! The whipped, bouncy gel cream texture is gorgeous and sinks right into the skin, and as is typical of Glow Recipe it gives a gorgeous, yet natural, glow to the skin. I was at first hesitant upon hearing “gel-cream”, as that is often a key word for oily skin and supremely lightweight formulas, but this is a true gel cream, not a barely there gel. It is perfect for my combination skin. It does have fragrance, so if you have a fragrance sensitivity/allergy, I would avoid, but if you are someone who is just not a big fan of fragrance in beauty products, I would totally recommend. I personally don’t like fragrance, but this one is barely there. It’s hard to describe, but I would say it smells subtly light and sweet, with the barest hint of plum, plus it fades quickly. Not as strong as that of the watermelon glow toner (although I actually love that fragrance as well). Only problem is it DOES NOT FILL UP THE PACKAGING! It’s great that Glow Recipe does refills for their products, but I honestly think it’s just a tactic to trick consumers into thinking they’re getting more product for the price, because the refill pod is significantly smaller than the glass jar. Battled between purchasing this cream or Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream during the beauty insider event in hopes that I’d find a new Holy Grail after using Dr. Jart Ceramidin for years. Because it’s getting warmer I decided to go with this because the formula is lighter – plus it’s also less expensive. The positives I found are that the formula is lightweight and not greasy at all which means it’s awesome for the summer. I have extremely sensitive skin that will break out in rash or dry patches when trying most new things, this moisturizer has not irritated my skin at all. I found that makeup applies over this moisturizer great. No pilling or patchiness. It’s also less expensive than other top rated creams. Negatives would be that I don’t find it quite as moisturizing as I would like, even on top of the Plum Plump Serum. And I don’t find that it does much for my skin texture either – it’s not bad, just not the best. I’m curious how Tatcha Water Cream compares for summer moisture as I know it’s a lighter formula as well. Would probably purchase again!shebriqua

I was the lucky recipient of a complimentary sample of this product via Influenster. I have very dry skin and had hoped this product would work miracles for my skin. Although it didn’t quite hydrate my skin the way I had hoped it’s still a really nice moisturizer and I think it would be perfect for those of you that don’t have very dry skin. I should also note that the sample I received only lasted me 5 days and that was with me using it once in the morning and once before bed so twice daily. Perhaps had I continued using it I might have seen more of a difference in my skin. The moisturizer feels like a creamy gel, it covered my skin nicely and didn’t leave any residue, it made my skin feel soft. A little goes a long way for example my tiny sample lasted me 5 days and I was using it on my face and the backs of my hands. It went on very smoothly and didn’t feel wet for very long after application. This meant it was great to apply before doing my makeup. I did notice it helped with the dry skin I get on my nose and felt very light. There was no strong fragrance to this product which is another great bonus. I can’t stand creams that have such a strong fragrance that you can smell it for hours afterwards. All that being said, it’s not a product I would purchase myself in the future. I have been using Clinique skincare and makeup since I was a teenager. In the past 15 years they have never let me down! I have oily/combination/occasionally sensitive skin so I am super picky about my skincare products. I have been using their Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for about 15 years so when the opportunity to try this came up, I couldn't have been more excited to try it! This did not disappoint either! I start off my nighttime skincare routine with Clinique liquid facial soap then I use their toner and wait for my face to completely dry. When I first applied this I was so surprised at how little you need! A tiny bead was all I needed for my whole face! Almost immediately my skin felt plump and hydrated without that super wet sticky feel that some lotions cause. Sometimes when I use other lotions I wake up and my face is super oily but when I woke up after using this my face wasn't oily at all and still felt just as hydrated as it did the night before. I would say this is a bit too hydrating for myself to use every day so I have been using it every other day and I am IN LOVE. This is the most overrated overpriced lotion I have ever used. I suffer from dry skin already and my hands are worse than the rest because I'm always doing something with them that involves getting dirty and needing to be washed. After reading so many reviews on different kinds of lotions and everyone insisting this was the best I decided to try it. I noticed it wasn't working great first day but I decided maybe its one of those you have to keep doing. But now I've had this for awhile, used it daily and am am almost out and it absolutely has made no difference in my skin. It almost seems like it's made it worse because I find myself having to reapply this throughout the day. I was using Jergens before this and it worked much better than this. I also have used the super cheap suave lotion in the past and even with it leaving you greasy I would 100% use that again over this. Amazing cream! I use this in place of a night cream or on days that my skin feels dry and needs an extra boost. It's highly moisturising and non irritating, which is perfect for sensitive skin. Love that there is no unnecessary added fragrance either. Can be used on both your body and face. It's one of those products that actually does what it says and works so much better than high end products. If you follow Dr Dray on Youtube then you will already know that she also recommends this cream a lot as well, especially for people using retinoids. I've been applying it alongside my Differin gel to combact dryness from it's use. After washing my face, I rub in a thin layer of this cream onto my damp skin (to lock in moisture) and follow with Differin after it's dry. Using it in this way as suggested by Dr Dray reduces the risk of irritation, but still allows the retinoid to be effective. Even if you are using it on it's own, the Cerave Cream will work brilliantly to soothe and soften your dry skin. It has great ingredients including ceramides which improve skin hydration. I have dehydrated combination skin and this has helped so much to repair my skin barrier along with following a good skincare routine. You really have to try it to believe it!ani.z

I'm a big fan of the Farmacy brand but this moisturizer was a huge disappointment for me. I was looking for a lightweight moisturizer that was still hydrating and would work well alone or under makeup and after reading reviews, I settled on this one. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It is indeed lightweight, but it did not give me enough hydration. I do have dry skin but I've used other lightweight moisturizers that offered more hydration. I did not bother testing it out under makeup due to the sheer fact that worn alone, any hydration it did offer seemed to dissipate fairly quickly after application. Overall, while I liked the consistency and even the slight tackiness, my dry skin just wasn't a good fit for this moisturizer. That said, this may work well for other skin types and does live up to the lightweight claims. I love the Farmacy brand, their ingredients and packaging but I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin.sabrina.s

This is my absolute favorite moisturizer, hands down! I used up the sample I received from my FabFitFun box in 2018 and saved the container so I wouldn't forget one of my favorite moisturizers. I've tried many different moisturizers over the last 10 years, but none have compared to Honey Drop! It's super lightweight and non-greasy. It smells lovely, and the packaging is gorgeous. Ever since I've restarted using Honey Drop in my daily regimen, I've gotten multiple compliments on how I am aging in reverse! I don't think I'll ever stray from this amazing product!Shannon

Honey Drop has got to be the most underrated Farmacy product. This stuff is incredible! I live in South Florida where the humidity is nuts, and as I'm entering my mid-thirties, my skin has suddenly gotten oilier, so I have been hunting for a perfect daytime moisturizer for a few years now. Kiehls had a great clay one that of course was discontinued not long after I started using it. I found Farmacy about a year later, after trying several light, oil-free moisturizers that just did not do it for me. Honey Drop is the only moisturizer I can wear during the day that is super lightweight, good for my sensitive skin, and doesn't make my face feel greasy (even Daily Greens didn't do it for me). Love love love this! I’ve been using it religiously for a 9 months now and just recently had to stock up on more! I live on the east coast so sometimes during the winter my face gets dry and this moisturizer is the solution to my problems. Never leave my house without putting it on. This is an amazing moisturizer for combination skin and acne-prone skin! The texture was really nice and felt great on the skin; it's light but moisturizing and doesn't weigh the skin down (you'll forget you were wearing it!) My bottle has lasted quite a while which goes to say that a little goes a long way with this product! I will say because it doesn't have the thickest coverage, I'm not sure how this would fare with people with drier skin types, so I only used this at night before bed during the winter. I have been using Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 15 every day for many years, and my skin looks great. I worked outdoors in the Florida heat and sun, and it was the only product I could find that did not run into my eyes when I perspired, or need to be reapplied constantly over the course of my day. Other moisturizers caused me to break out, or felt like I was wearing a heavy mask. This product absorbs quickly into the skin, and it leaves my face feeling soft, fresh and hydrated. I absolutely loved this gel cream, it’s feels very lightweight and comfortable on the skin throughout the day. The formula is gel based that glides smoothly on the skin and sinks in nicely without feeling any stickiness. I have super oily skin on my face, it always bothered me but i never did anything about it, I kept using the same old face cream since high school. I turned 30 recently and the photos of my birthday showed me how oily my skin looked even with make up on, so i decided to look for other options. I read a blog about the best creams for people with oily skin and i wanted to give it a try, i bought this one because it was one of the face creams mentioned in the blog and I love it. I thought it was kinda overpriced because it's only 50g but you need very little to cover your face. It smells very nice, it feels fresh, leaves your skin mate but moisturised. The effect lasts for hours! EDIT: after a month, I started to get a rash around my lips, I thought it was the usual allergies I get due to cold wind but I discovered that this water gel was the cause of it. This is an honest review! I received a sample of this cream in the mail last spring. I loved it so much, I bought the full-sized jar from my dermatologist. I use it nightly after my retinol and serum, and I wake up every morning with dewy soft supple skin. I have had a severe health concern the past 4 years along with going through menopause which resulted in some dramatic changes to my skin and am so grateful that I found this cream. A big plus is that it doesn’t pill up after layering my products like many other creams do. I love its cooling effect on my skin too most likely from the natural herbs such as peppermint oil. I have tried so many different moisturizers, but this one is by far the best. I have been wanting to try the A.G.E cream but haven’t yet because this works so well. I am a big skinceuticals fan and I love almost all of their products. When it comes to their products, since they have such an expansive and high quality array of products it’s more about choosing what you need based on your current skin condition. I love this product for the spring, summer, and fall because during that time of year my skin doesn’t need as much moisture and this moisturizer provides the perfect amount of moisture. During winter I usually switch to a slightly heavier moisturizer. For this moisturizer another added benefit I like is the slight sheer to it and this is coming from someone who loves a matter finish. There is something really illuminating about this moisturizer that I really enjoy. Lastly, I would say it slightly and I mean very slightly helps reduce the look of large pores but that is mainly something I notice after a month of use. I highly recommend this product and will buy it again.joe.g

This was my first purchase from PCA and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I've been dealing with a new wave of hormonal acne for a few months and was been looking for a gel texture moisturizer to hydrate my skin during the day. The acne treatments I've been using have dried out my skin pretty severely so when I saw that this was designed to sooth irritated skin and the very high reviews I was excited to try it out. If I use this on its own or preferably with a face oil (I've been using Sunday Riley UFO) my skin is fine, not the most hydrated it could be but pretty good for daily wear. BUT if I try to use this with a prescription benzoyl peroxide or dapsone my face tightens and dries out in a matter of minutes and I experience a burning sensation. I also find that if I try to put a thicker moisturizer on top to try and counteract it's drying/irritating effects it immediately pills and I'm left with thick globs of product around my face that don't absorb, rendering my entire routine pretty useless. I'd give this product 3 stars but it's ridiculously pricey for not very much product and very underwhelming results. I think this would work well for people with oily skin, but otherwise I think there are much better gel moisturizers out there.Anonymous

I like this moisturizer. A little bit goes a long way. It feels kind of like a mix between serum and cream. It tingles when you first apply it. You do have to let it dry before applying makeup because your skin is a little sticky until it’s completely absorbed. This is a good day time moisturizer. But as for myself, I need a little more hydration at bedtime. Sometimes my skin looks dry after using this the night before.dina.h

Ok I am truly in awe of this moisturizer. I had heard good things about it, but now that I've tried it…I understand. And I'll try to convey it! It's a gel/cream hybrid initially upon scooping it out and almost looks like it will be thick. However, the second you begin massaging this into your skin, it's like it melts into your skin (the "cloud" name is fitting). Forget having to buff forever, this stuff absorbs immediately and leaves skin feeling so soft and smooth. The ingredients are loaded with antioxidants and hydrating ingredients, and the smell is very, very faint but pleasant. I'm acne prone and have not had any issues with breakouts so far (about a week of use). Very pleased! This seems like one of few moisturizers that I genuinely think all skin types would enjoy.Alice

This cream really made it feel like my face and neck felt as if I rubbed a cloud on it. It doesn't leave your skin feeling oily at all which is a win in my book. It really just soaks right into your pores. I really liked the packaging. I thought it was nice. However, I was really disappointed when I opened the jar. It looked like it was really only half full, and there was a bit of cream on the underlid. After using this for several weeks, I did notice that my breakouts were really few and far inbetween. Typically in the summer I am seeing more breakouts. But this PUR 4 in 1 cream it is really keeping my skin hydrated. It would be nice if they could maybe include a spoon or spatula to help you get the cream out a little better. The good: It is lightly scented and I don't mind the smell but wish there were an unscented option. This is a tried and true moisturizer that will not break me out and does its job well. I keep coming back for it time and time again. The formulation is really that great. The bad: It could be more moisturizing. I would consider it to be on the light side, so if your skin is dry you may need to add something to it. The packaging is TERRIBLE. Sure, it distributes the perfect amount in your hand so you don't apply too much. BUT after the dispenser stops working, there is no way to open the lid to get to the remaining product. I end up cutting the bottom off the tube and there is another WEEKS WORTH of product just hanging out in there. I also think it is WAY OVER PRICED for the amount of product you are getting.Anonymous

This is my go to daily AM moisturizer, for almost a year now. I have dehydrated all over and acne prone (chin area) skin, and I find this does not break me out, and provides a light moisture. Having used this in both the summer and winter, for dryer/dehydrated skin would recommend this more so as a spring/summer moisturizer, as in the winter it got the job done but I did find my skin would have liked something a little extra. This has a light gel like consistency, but does not leave the face feeling greasy. This product does not pill on my face either when used with other non-bioderma products. I've been drinking Pure Leaf bottled iced teas for a while now with very little flavor selection in the stores, so I am happy to see some expansion into other flavors by this brand. #Mint is not an easy flavor of Pure Leaf to find locally, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a single serve bottled #tea of it in the refrigerated case in the #Target grocery section as opposed to the checkout lane mini fridges. I bought this because I’ve been suffering with peri menopausal naughty skin and I’ve been suffering from Pustular Rosacea consequently. My skin has truly been a nightmare for at least 6 months. Dry, flaky and red. I did some research and realised that I needed to moisturise with something that’s got very few ingredients in and so I chose this. I’ve only used it three days and I’m amazed! Now I have oily sensitive skin so I’m always a little wary with new products but this stuff has really agreed with my skin. This is the first morning I’ve woken up in a long time and been pleased to look at my skin. It looks healthy and no angry red dry areas. I’ve even only had to dab on a little concealer on my last remaining blemishes rather than tackle my whole face with the stuff! Really hope they don’t discontinue it!MellyL

My review will be split into two parts: packaging and usage: Let’s start with packaging, I like it a lot. Simple yet informative, not too much things to read and all kept nice and tidy. Green and blue are also perfect for white background. When I have tried it on my hand it gave that silky smooth feeling and refreshment straight away. I must say it could as well be top of the shelf product by that time, however I then applied to my face as instructed on the back. Unfortunately, I experienced allergic reaction! Only near my eyes, they got slightly swollen and become very watery. Strange as I have not applied anywhere near eye for that test. I had to wash my entire face to get allergy off. I re-applied it to hands and again all was very good and smooth. When applied into small area around my face, allergic reaction had re-occurred, so I had to terminated further tests. I was never known to have reaction to any other cosmetics, but it may as well be the sensitivity of my face that this cream is activating. I really like this moisturizer but I can’t find it where I live anymore. But they claim it hasn’t been discontinued so I will review it anyway. It really does what it says: hydrates. I’ve learned the hard way that there’s a difference between hydration and moisture and occlusion. My skin was in desperate need of the former after a long and ignorant battle with cystic hormonal acne in which I threw everything at it that so much as hinted at being able to help. This lovely tube came to my rescue. It sinks in like a dream and leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy with no shine or residue. My only complaint is the tube didn’t last very long. If, like me, you’re having trouble finding this in stores, Versed (Target’s new skincare line) has the best dupe I’ve found. It’s called Dew Point and comes in the prettiest mint green tube.kimmie.b

I absolutely love this moisturizer! This water cream has hyaluronic acid and pineapple extract, and kept my skin hydrated all day(or all night) depending on when I used it. It is very long-lasting and has a very light natural citrus scent that smells amazing. My favorite part about this water cream is the texture! It starts off with this really thick texture, but as soon as you start to massage it in, it simply MELTS into the skin. It absorbs super quickly, yet your face still feels velvety soft afterwards! I have been using this for 11 days now along with my (newly stated) retinol at night and it has been really helped me to avoid any dryness or other issues that retinol can sometimes cause. I am currently battling hormonal acne and this did not cause me to break out at all, if anything, I have noticed lightening of post-acne marks and an overall more dewy-looking complexion! I have mainly dry skin and being that it is currently winter, I need even more hydration. I adore Hyaluronic acid so I was excited that to get this Philosophy Hope in a Jar water cream – hyaluronic glow moisturizer. The cream itself is gorgeous with a blue shade and pleasant (but not overwhelming scent). It really is reminiscent of a glacier water, as this cream contains. In addition to this Norwegian glacial water, this additionally contains pineapple extract which I think it a fun addition. My personal preference is to have skincare without added fragrance/dyes so I deduct a star for that. The cream was still gentle on my skin, and the texture was one of the most interesting I have used in awhile. It had almost a slushy appearance and when applied it feels like it becomes more liquid as it absorbs into skin. It feels lightweight, but provides hydration and smoothness for skin. I wanted to make sure I tried this water cream for some time before writing a review, so here are my thoughts after a few weeks. I'm loving this product! It's so light and airy, but it hydrates so well. It's $39, but a little goes such a long way. It spreads so well. The weather here has been cold and dry, so it's been pretty unforgiving on my skin. When I use this water cream, it retains moisture and stays hydrated even with the harsh elements. I have combo skin, so both dry and oily, but this cream works well with both. It's strong enough to keep the dry areas hydrated, but it's not too strong to where it makes the oily areas more oily and out of control. It doesn't clog up my pores, so I haven't had to worry about any breakouts or pimples. I'll be purchasing this once I finish this product!Pegah

Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Gel Moisturizer is so new and different from all the other moisturizers out there. It's packaged in a blue square jar and it has a useful spatula for cleaner and easier use. The product itself is also blue but it's not dyed with some artificial dye. I like that it's a gel and not a cream. It feels so hydrating on my skin. I can tell a huge improvement in the smoothness of my skin and my fine lines look softer. I was very excited to receive this product that was gifted by Laneige for my honest review. I had heard good things about it and was hoping it would live up to the hype. The first thing I learned with this product was that a little goes a long way. The product was instantly hydrating. As someone with dry skin, this product moisturized my skin and helped it to stay moisturized throughout the day without making me look oily. I used this moisturizer as a base when applying makeup many times and it left my skin hydrated and blended with my makeup very nicely. After application, my face felt very soft and smooth. The only thing I would say negatively is that although this product is recommended for oily skin, it just makes them look even more oily and did not go away through out the day. I’m very surprised at how much is loving this gel moisturizer! I have combo skin and with the weather changing, this product ended up doing a great job at moisturizing enough for both days and also being used as a night cream. It sinks in well and doesn’t leave a heavy tacky feeling that’s noticeable. The only gripe I have is with the design of the jar. I noticed that it twist to open, but doesn’t twist all the way off. It twists about halfway and then you have to pull up on lid to completely remove it. I struggle every now and then, because I forget it doesn’t twist all the way off, which is different from other products, but does take an extra few seconds to remove.
