I have been using the Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo for a month now. I really like the coconut scent, it lathers really well and I was very pleased that a little goes a long way as I have very long and thick hair. I wash my hair every 3rd day, but I wet my hair and condition it every day. I have been using the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioner the 2nd day. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. I love that Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo contain no silicones, parabens, no phathalates, no petrolatum & no mineral oil. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant to try the , as it is intended for those with curly, thick hair. My hair is straight and fine. However, I often struggle with finding good conditioners because my hair is very long and tangles really easily. When trying this product, I really loved it! It left my hair feeling soft, detangled, and smelling amazing. The conditioner is thick in consistency, but is easy to apply to my long hair. A little went a long way. I love all the nourishing and moisturizing ingredients in this conditioner, which bring a little taste of the tropics to the dry climate where I live. I have tried out several of Maui Moisture’s conditioners, and this coconut oil one is BY FAR my favorite! This conditioner has an AMAZING tropical/fruity/clean fragrance to it. It has a medium thick consistency to it, which I prefer over being too runny, or too thick making it difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. I leave this conditioner on while I am performing the rest of my shower routine. This way I can give the conditioner enough time to soak into my freshly shampooed hair. I have pretty dry hair so this coconut oil conditioner does it wonders. Once it has been on my hair for a sufficient amount of time high brush it out under the running water. I have very tingle prone hair but this conditioner makes detangling a breeze. After rinsing out the product I am left with silky smooth hair that smells amazing. My mom has thick, coarse hair so I had her try out this conditioner as well. She too was left with beautiful, silky hair after using this conditioner! I have wavy hair and this conditioner really brought out and defined my wave pattern. I think this would be a lovely conditioner for others with wavy to curly hair. Hair background: I have medium to high density hair. My hair is medium porosity type 4a natural hair. Product: This conditioner has a thick consistency. it is white and has a very pleasent scent. in terms of the packaging I wish it was bigger because you tend to use more conditioner than shampoo as a curly girl. so I would change the packaging to be bigger and also an upside down packaging to help with product flow. Product on natural hair: Not sure if it is safe for color treated hair. However it worked well on my un-color treated hair. This conditioner is not as conditioning as other conditioners which is the main reason why I rated it as I did. it absorbs very well into my dehydrated hair but it didnt condition it well. It also did not have alot of slip and I found detangling my hair with flowing water easier than detangling my hair with this conditioner. it is an overall ok conditioner for natural hair but it needs a follow up leave in conditioner. I really wanted to like this product! I was excited to try it, It smells greattt! But I naturally have super thick/long hair and it did not do a good job of making my hair feel clean. My hair still felt dirty, greasy and itchy when I got out of the shower. It also produces very little suds, which is something I need a lot of to properly clean my thick hair. I even reapplied it, and tried to emulsify it while in the shower and still nothing. It might be a good one for some, but for all my thicker haired gals, this isn't the one. Just a heads up!Karigan
I work at Ulta so naturally I love trying different products. Since it’s close to summer I wanted to stop styling my hair and instead start wearing it natural (in the summer it’s just way too hot to style my thick hair and the humidity makes it not last anyways!). However, I have wavy hair with the potential to be curly with the right shampoo/ styling products. So, I wanted to try the coconut curls line to see if I could enhance my waves/ curls and it worked! I brought this product for a cheaper alternative. I was really disapointed with the results and damage ir had done to my hair. It made me lose hair, made my hair dry and frizzy. Although it smells nice its completly ruined my curls and turned them back to frizz. Not a good product. Shea moistuer is amazing!! It is just quite expensive! This is the best shampoo I have ever used! I received a sample of it in my subscription box and was amazed at the fact that it had more then one use in it! The shampoo spread nicely which is why there was more then one use in it. I have long hair too! It made my hair soft and shiny and healthy looking! It's hard to do that with my dry, brittle hair. It is quite expensive but worth every penny and then some. I always purchase in bulk when I get my taxes so I will have enough for the entire year. I don't blow dry nor do I dye my hair. I use hair creams and sometime flexible styling hair sprays not related to this brand. With that said, with this shampoo I sometimes have to lather twice to really feel like I fully removed any hair products, other than that, this shampoo does lather well & has a soft smell to it. It's winter here at the moment and this shampoo is not helping with my winter dandruff, which it's okay, I scalp detox once a week & that helps for a while, not this brand either, but I'm mentioning it incase you think it helps moisturize your scalp. This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. I got the Husk curl care detangling conditioner and it left my hair easy to manage. The consistency of the conditioner was just right. Not too thick but not too runny. It applied well and evenly to my hair. The conditioner coated the strands and wasn't messy. I usually let conditioner sit on my hair with a plastic cap for 10-20 minutes. I was able to comb through my hair with minimal tangles and the small ones I had were easy to get through. My hair felt soft and moisturized. The conditioner is vegan and had no sulphates or parabens. It's complete with coconut oil, argan oil, and vitamin to give my hair what it needs to be manageable and look great.Ajann1983

Nice looking professional packing that smells delightful. Unfortunately I am unable to list and visible benefits to the appearance/texture of my hair so promptly stopped using it. I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I detest mint in general (esp in hair care) & have used products with lots of tea tree oil etc. & do not like it. So points for being subtle smelling & not harsh. Honestly didn't even notice. I have curly, frizzy extremely dehydrated hair. First of all, this conditioner smells like a a coconut punch to your nose. If you dislike fragrance, this will not suit you. If you hate coconut, smelling this will make you faint. I do not mind gentle coconut smell, but this perfume is too strong. However, I got used to the smell over time, so now I no longer notice it. The performance, however, is nothing special. I noticed that my hair became even more frizzy than before, and not moisturized at all. The dispenser is horrible. The dispenser hole is extremely small, and I must exercise in order to get a good amount of product in my hand. Do not try taking out the dispenser, because the product is like a clump of clay and will not exit the bottle without the dispenser. Just use the pump until you give up. I just finished this bottle and I'm sorry to say I won't buy it again. The shampoo itself is ok but I feel like it weighs my hair down. But I am hating this new container designs. It arrived leaking within the plastic bag. And then somehow, the bottle continued to leak from the top even though I had it stored upright. By the time I finished the bottle, the whole thing had a thick coating of shampoo on it. AND there's no way to open the top to add a little water to get all of the product out. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. Thankful to have found and purchased this amazing shampoo. My desire to nourish and manage my natural 4C porosity hair came with a challenge. However, I remembered, that I purchased this shampoo and matching hair masque. However, for the information on Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, the page is unavailable. My budget is tight at the moment, but I usually save up for what I need. I need the Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque. Therefore, to increase the benefits to my damaged hair I gathered a portion of the Curl and Shine Hair Masque and combined it with a hint of tea tree oil, fresh rosemary water, rose water, and peppermint oil. Leaving in my hair for 30 minutes. My hair texture is incredibly moist. I shall continue this mixture until I am able to locate and purchase the High Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, which I already know is perfect for the restoration of my hair. The chemical perm greatly damaged my hair, thinned my hair, and broke my hair off in places. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

Wash Day Delight with @carolsdaughter and @influenster. Received this free product to try for my honest opinion. The Pros: The Wash Day Delight water to shampoo has to be one of the coolest shampoo and conditioner products I have ever tried. The shampoo has a twist up precision nozzle allowing you to place the product in specific spot. I was able to target exactly where I wanted to place the shampoo on my scalp before working the shampoo into a lather. The shampoo rinses away leaving no residue. The formula does remove all product build up The Jelly to Cream conditioner is quite the same. The jelly like consistency affords you time to pay particular attention to your roots and ends and all while working the conditioner into a smooth creamy lather. The conditioner rinses clean and leaves no residue. The bonus…this conditioner acts as a detangler too. Which is perfect for girls like me who struggle with knots and tangles after washing my natural curls. The Cons: As awesome as this product is, it’s not my perfect match. The shampoo had a drying affect on my hair. While washing I felt my hair was drying out. After the first rinse my hair felt crunchy. The conditioner feels so nice and creamy, but it’s detangling properties were no match for my tangled strands. Final word: I really like this shampoo and conditioner. I was so very excited when I saw these products because I had heard so much about the brand and I really wanted to try it. However, my experience was not as I hoped that it would be. Pros: I absolutely LOVE the packaging of both the water-to-foam Shampoo and the Dream Detangler Jelly-to-Cream Conditioner. The nozzel of the Shampoo bottle was wonderful and very easy to get the product distributed. The wide opening of the conditioner jar, without the sharp edge that usually shapes your fingers after you try to get some product out of the container, made it very easy to scoop out the product with my hand. Cons: The smell was not to my liking (sorry), but the biggest issue is how dry and brittle my hair was after the wash. It sounded as if I was trying to wash out a plastic bag. Super crunchy and very worrisome for both myself and the person whoms hair I was washing. I was hoping that the conditioner would help but it did not. There was a little bit of softness once I applied it but it did not help much when I was detangling the hair both with my fingers and a a wide tooth comb. Also, so much hair came out when I was finally able detangle the very small sections that I had to work with because the hair was not detangling much with this conditioner. 😓😔 Disclamer: I am a Cosmetologist and I tried this product on 3 different curly hair types [3B (soft curls), 4A (curly hair) and my hair a 4C (super curly) with similar results on all 3. I have really long somewhat thick wavy hair (below my butt) and this is the best thing I have found to wash my hair with. It's such a light gentle cleanser and lasts me well over a month per bottle. If it doesn't last you that long then you are using too much. I read the other reviews and had some thoughts. If you apply under running water, it'll all wash away before you can lather it. Just apply outside the water stream then pop you head back under and it'll lather nicely. I also only use this on my scalp to preserve my natural oils on my hair. (the shampoo washes down hair length anyway when you rinse) If you are used to silicone shampoos then I can see why ppl think this is drying. Give your hair some time to detox from other silicone products and it shouldn't feel dry anymore. As for the frizz comments…. it's a cleanser, not meant to control frizz. Follow up with a nice silicon free conditioner. (I like Not Your Mother's: Activated Charcoal and Purple conditioner) This product leaves my hair feeling light and bouncy and smells amazing too! Due to the snow, rain and the high and lows in temperature, my hair has been duller than ever.I decided it was finally time to give L’oreal Ever Curl a try. I opened the shampoo, and the smell of refreshing coconuts filled up my bathroom. I put a generous amount in my hand and scrubbed my scalp a few times before I started to rinse.I closed it and placed it on the side of my bathtub. As I reached out and grabbed the conditioner, I noticed the shampoo top could not close tightly. After I had put the conditioner in my hair, I grabbed the shampoo and tried different ways to help the product stop leaking. After a few minutes the leaking stop. However, the top itself never closed tightly again. I received the L'Oréal Ever dandruff shampoo, conditioner and micro scrub complementary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. I started using the products a week ago and wanted to give it a great test before reviewing and I honestly have to say this is the BEST shampoo, conditioner I've ever used for dandruff!!! I have tried many other brands and this one really done the job. I had never used a micro scrub before and I honestly think that it helps better to use it before shampooing and using your conditioner. My scalp hasn't itched at all and I've not seen any dandruff which is rare and shocking for my hair type. So I received the L'Oreal Ever Curl Vox Box had the opportunity to test out the shampoo, conditioner and cream gel for free. I have naturally wavy/curly hair, nothing too curly, but my hair definitely isn't straight. I expected these products to really boost my curls and make them less of a crazy mess. Because my curls are so wild and messy, I typically straighten my hair to get everything under control. So when I first used this product, I was pleased with the smell. It's very refreshing and light. The shampoo was very thick and I had to splash some water on my hands to get the shampoo to loosen up. Everything was easy to get out of my hair I did not notice any residue in the morning (I always sleep at night). I was dissappointed that when I woke up, my curls were no different then they would be without that shampoo. However, my hair was a noticeably softer. The smell of the shampoo also lingered around throughout the day, which was great. I'm not sure if I will repurchase this exact product again, but I may transition over and try other L'Oreal products because I enjoyed how much of the scent stayed around in my hair.harley.w

I really wanted to love this product and I did in the first month of using it. I applied it in the shower and brushed through it really easily, it helped revive my waves, and I really liked the smell. Unfortunately after about a month of use I started noticing really bad dandruff at the front of my hairline, big dandruff flakes, and the nape of my neck was itch. Then I started getting this weird buildup on my hair after the shower. My hair just felt really tacky, when I tried to brush through it, it got tangled immediately because it was sticking to itself, I even noticed some white buildup on my brush. So the next time, I washed the brush, washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo, and made sure to wash out the conditioner well…really well. And it still left this really sticky gross buildup on my hair. It was almost impossible to even run my fingers through. I shampooed my hair twice with a clarifying shampoo and went back to one of my old conditioners and my hair is pretty much back to normal. There is still maybe one part that is still a little sticky/tacky so I'll have to wash it again. Maybe this works for some people, it just didn't work for me. Ladies, you have to use the WHOLE system to see true results. Can't just use shampoo and conditioner to see much of a difference. Pending on your curl type, you need to use the finishing products after the shampoo and conditioner. I was skeptical at first, so I purchased the "Starter Kit" for my curl type. When I used all 4 products together, WOW!!!!! My curls have never looked so good! It's not cheap when you go into buying all 4 in full size… But, oh so worth it! I've recommended this line to several people, and they have all agreed with me you have to use the entire line to really get the full benefit, especially the Curl Defininf Gel. For years I worked laboriously to smooth, straighten, transform my natural curly hair. I finally gave in, as my hair grew more & more silver and a different texture! So I embraced my curly hair and started the process of finding quality products. I found them , but they all smelled exactly the same! Then I saw an ad for Living Proof Curl Products. Absolutely no coconut, beach smell!.. just fresh flowers, gentle breezes, with a hint of a subtle spice that smells like sunshine!! I was very excited to try Living Proof Curl Shampoo since I had heard positive things about the brand, but was hesitant to purchase since it’s a little higher end. I have very frizzy, full, curly hair. It’s also dry from coloring and heat styling and some of the curl shape has been lost from Keratin treatment from years ago and constant straightening. Some curl styling products don’t do much for my hair. I was SO impressed with this product. I have had an issue lately when I comb my wet hair. I typically wore my hair straight and now that I’ve been wearing it naturally curly, sometimes I just twist it into a bun and this seems to give me a lot of tangles. Lately after showering, despite combing my wet hair immediately, I have bad tangling and knotting. This also results in more hair coming off on my comb. However, after using this shampoo in conjunction with the Living Proof Curl Conditioner, I didn’t have this problem. I was so happy that I didn’t have a tough time combing my wet hair and have a bunch of hair come out. It was so much easier to comb through my hair and miraculously I didn’t have an abundance of tangles or knots. The smell is so pleasant as well and my hair even held the scent the following day. I have low porosity 2B with fine strands, but a lot of hair. I typically leave this on for 30 min under a cap. Pros: made hair feel incredibly soft and manageable after rinsing out. Seemed to help with brittleness and strengthening the hair. Scent is delicious, exactly like a vanilla-mint cake batter. Cons: Not as moisturizing as I expected, still needed to add a lot of leave in after rinsing out. I would guess it’s maybe more moisturizing for high porosity. I would probably still buy it again but the Raw Sugar curl mask is my holy grail, and half the price.Jo
This hair care product is now one of my must have! I cut off using conditioner part of my hair care routine and decided to use on deep conditioners now that the harsh winter days are coming in. I used all kinds of conditioners from top name brands to even baby products! I just used this last night and my hair is beautiful! It's so soft, it smells soooo good that I can even smell myself! This is the first Camille Rose product that I have tried that I didn't like. All of the others so far have been amazing, but for whatever reason this deep conditioner left my 4a high porosity hair feeling drier and more like straw than before I used it. It is a very thick consistency, which I usually like. It seemed like it never fully sank into/was absorbed by my hair and after leaving it to sit for about an hour I could still see it sitting on top of my hair. It is also quite expensive so unfortunately I can't recommend this one.

This is the only gel that makes me hair curly/ wavy after I put it on, I don’t need to scrunch my hair to see results, it just starts to curl. After that of course I scrunch it to my desire of curliness* but this is in my top 5 of gels. I don’t like gels bc they contain a lot of harsh stuff that can damage and dry out your hair but this here is the best! You won’t go wrong and the smell is like.. in between masculine and feminine. I can’t describe the smell but in my opinion is smells great. Definitely not fruity, it’s smells woodsy I guess but again I’m not good at describing this. I have fine curly hair that misbehaves between cuts, especially if I’m trying to grow it out. A combination of this product and the REDKEN CURVACEOUS RINGLET works really well as leave in conditioning products. I adjust the balance as my hair grows. If I need more weight I use slightly more of this product. If my hair is long enough and has good weight and needs definition or fly away management, I use the other.Donna T

I purchased this recently to soften and nourish my dry 4c hair and I was pleasantly surprised. A little goes a long way and it left my hair feeling rich, moisturised and manageable. It has a fluffy and buttery consistency. Great smell! Thick and moisturizing, without feeling heavy or greasy. However, as much as I would like to praise it further, it’s moisturizing effect lasts only about 24 hours. It doesn’t have a significant amount of alcohol, yet its moisturizing effect wears off. Therefore, it cannot be my “go to” for my winter scalp. I don’t like the idea of having to constantly reapply between washes. It’s great on natural 4C hair, but not moisturizing enough for dry winter scalp.

I know things don't work for all hair types, but given what this is made from, and all the people with 4C hair who are raving about it, it should surely have worked on my 3A/B type hair, long with two curl types. It does absolutely nothing for my hair. Nothing. I washed my hair and used this and a sister product, and the following morning my hair was as dry as anything. Dryer than if I'd just washed and conditioned. Obviously it must relate to my hair type, as others have raved about it, but I just don't see why. Will stick to Cantu in future. The leave-in is unfortunately rather less suitable for my hair. Have very many and thick, wavy to curly hair. It makes nice soft hair, but gives me too little hold, which leads to the fact that the curls quickly "hang out" and lose definition. Also, my hair tends to get frizz from this product. However, I think that this leave-in can work very well with a different hair structure. The scent is good as in the entire Curl Expression series, it reminds me of a hairdressing salon and is something different.Delia
A good smelling curl cream. Soft, light consistency, which is easy to apply. According to the instructions, you should wrap the curls with your fingers when applying and thus strengthen the defining. In the handling therefore rather cumbersome. The hair feels very smooth afterwards, the curls but not necessarily defined. This product also smells very pleasant.Lotti_80
