20 Best Moisture Shampoo For Fine Hair (Jan 2023 Update)

I have thin flat bleached highlighted hair that damages easily so lengths can look very dull, puffy and unhealthy easily while scalp gets oily quickly and hair is weighted down with any hydrating/nourishing heavier formula. This KM Hydrate Me line was such a discovery for me. This shampoo is very hydrating (leaving my hair silky and knot free), but it's not heavy at all. I have no idea how they do it, because the formula of this shampoo is quite creamy, it lathers up super well, but it already leaves my hair quite silky yet very clean. You know how shampoos either feel too "cleaning" or too nourishing? Well this one is a perfect mix of both of those things. I have tried many brands and a few different lines from KM, but this one is my favourite by far. I definitely recommend trying this entire line if you have a similar hair/scalp type to me.GoRe

I use the hydrating conditioner alongside the hydrating shampoo, and it's my favourite hair care to use. I have long and thick hair and I find this conditioner works really well for ensuring my ends stay soft. It also helps with hair thats easily tangled, which mine often is due to the length. It makes it easier to brush after washing! Highly recommend this with the hydrating shampoo, especially for those with long hair. I've been using the combo for 2-3 years I think! It's my favourite! I purchased this the last time I had balayage on my hair. I told my stylist I don’t like the brassy look, and she recommended this product to help prevent the brassiness. It’s ok, but not overly impressive. I normally have to use another, more moisturizing and de-tangling, conditioner in conjunction with this conditioner because the bleach dries out my hair so much. It’s been a few weeks since I started using, and I am starting to notice the brassiness come on, but that’s to be expected. My stylist said I’ll have to come back for toner every so often, even if I use this conditioner. I also use the shampoo in an effort to get the best results. My stylist recommended leaving either the purple shampoo or conditioner on my hair for a few extra minutes, and she said the shampoo would likely dry it out too much, so to opt to leave the rinse on rather than the shampoo. I have dry fizzy hair and the Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Moisture Nutritive Low shampoo cleanses my hair without drying out my hair like most other shampoos. I have noticed a difference in my hair since using this product. Thumbs up for this one. Have finally found my shampoo. MarieMarie

ALfaparf products are all good. They don't have any of those additives which itch the scalp. This is no exception, good for dry hair when paired with the leave in conditioner from AlfaparfIan D.

I really love this product. Smells so good, Leaves fine hair looking soft and very bright. Because it is silicone free, it does not leave hair looking slimy the way silicone products leave fine hair. So far so good. Trying to replace Deva products that have become too expensive and needed something without proteins, so it will not dry out my curly/wavy hair. This has worked well so far. These two products, the Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner, contain pure organic Argan oil which works to repair, strengthen and protect your hair so no need for additional products before blow drying. I would however still recommend using a spray if you are going to use heated appliances as well. The products also contain colour, thermal and UV protection filters which reduce sun damage. I came across this shampoo by chance and purchased it. I was so happy with the results I then decided to get the 1 litre conditioner. It gives my hair lustre, softness and it has a beautiful subtle scent. A small amount only is needed so it goes a long way, but I will be purchasing the 1 litre shampoo next time. Well, super bummed. I liked the light scent. It doesn't smell "good" but not bad either and it doesn't linger so I don't care about that. First time I used, literally thought I forgot to rinse conditioner out. So I washed next day (usually only wash twice a week). My hair was fine, but seemed a bit heavy. Used it yesterday without the conditioner this time because I used a hair mask (which I've been using for years). Could tell immediately when rinsing the mask my hair felt really weird. Then again today everything but the top most layer is a weird filmy greasy mess! So it's not just the conditioner, but the shampoo. It leaves a gross film on my hair making it super greasy. I have an oilier scalp but I can still go days between washes. This stuff somehow has the strands extremely oily! Will definitely return this one. Hot, dry climate + curls = extra dry hair. I purchased this along with the condition with the hopes of going for a cruelty free, vegan brand that could nourish my locks in time for summer – I was let down and then some. I'm an Ulta employee and I decided to try this when we first got it in our location. I tried the Ghost line's kit and it just wasn't for me (I feel that it weighed my hair down a bit but my hair is really finicky) so I was afraid to try the hydration line. My hair isn't super fine but it's also not really thick, just kinda in the middle, but I have A LOT of hair. I used to get a full highlight every three months for 8 years before deciding to dye it darker. My hair is a little damaged to say the least and it's pretty dry. I tried the shampoo and conditioner, and was surprised at how nice the shampoo lathered despite being sulfate free. Over time I noticed that my hair didn't fade as quickly as when I used my bumble and bumble line. My hair felt healthier and hydrated, but without any weird residue, texture, or weigh down. my daughter recommended this shampoo along with the conditioner. I was surprisingly disappointed. I of course thought right away that it would be effective based on the cost. Not at all, for starters I felt it made my hair more tangled and hard to manage which concerned me cause I already have course hair and figured how am I going to get out of this tangled mess. The conditioner didn't even help a bit and need I mention that when I tried to style my hair it was never ending. I was completely surprised that this didn't do for me what all the reviews I read said it would. I understand everyone's hair is different but I read so many reviews raving about this that I had no doubt that this was going to be the best shampoo I'd ever tried. Boy was I wrong… The first issue I had with this was that it didn't latter do a degree that I am used to. I thought I was going to be able to work around this but without the latter I really didn't feel as though it was cleaning my hair. I started with one pump but that really only washed the top of my head- barely. Another pump for my hair (mid back length, curly) which lathered even less on the strands then my scalp. Using two pumps – sometimes three- really doesn't bode well for the life of the product. With that said problem two arose; this barely lasted a month and a half using it every other day. At 24$ a bottle it really isn't realistic for me to keep purchasing when I was having no results and basically dumping it down the drain. Results were really nonexistent, my hair was still frizzy and ultimately more dry than before I started using it. There was no real change in texture in the month I used it. There was no problem for me with the smell like some people had, it just smelled like salon shampoo. Unfortunately I will not be purchasing this again, however I wouldn't tell people to stay away as so many reviewers said that it did wonders for them so I imagine I'm just an off case. My stylist recommended to me to help with my thinning hair. I was at the point where I was considering a wig. My hair has returned and is thick and shiny. The shampoo has a really clean smell. My hair is complicated. I have what I call a white girl fro and it is not pretty! And this is not to be slanderous in any way whatsoever! My hair literally sticks out like a lions main when I first dry it! So not kidding!!!! And yes I use a brush because if I don't, it's even worse! My hair stylist suggested this product but, I was very hesitant because I have tried so many different products and wasted a lot of money doing so. I'm so glad I tried this! My hair can be fixed to be straight or fixed to be curly. Either way is a lot of work. This product along with a matching shampoo, all from Eleven Australia, my hair has been so much easier to fix and maintain! My hair feels healthier and doesn't feel weighted down at all. With my hair type, whatever you want to call it, frizzes so bad when it's raining or just humid, with just this line of product, the frizz is so much less than ever before. Even if I start to get a little warm, my hair previously would would start frizzing up, especially at the crown. I’m so frustrated! I bought a huge bottle of this at the end of last summer and it became my holy grail! I have thin but very curly hair and it gave me the perfect amount of moisture without weighing it down. I just grabbed a new bottle and the moment I put it in my hair I knew it was not the same. I always thought it was just in my genes to have dull flat oily hair but this shampoo (i also use the conditioner) changed the game. I've been using for 2 weeks steady now and the results to full, slightly textured but still smooth hair was instant and still goes strong !!! I've never seen my hair look this good even after salon visits. After salons it gets way too silky to where it doesn't hold its shape, but this shampoo gives the perfect amount of texture to give your hair body while still being silky. It also gives my hair beach waves which is incredible because I thought my hair was straight. I can't say enough good things about it because it actually does what it promises!! Textured, wavy, soft. I just got his and I enjoy this shampoo. Remember the candy Runts? The smell is exactly like the banana flavor candy – takes me back! I like the smell, but it doesn't last long in your hair. This shampoo is fairly running and I actually like that. I like to flip my head upside down and focus on scrubbing my scalp, letting the shampoo slide down the lengths of my hair. This shampoo makes it really easy to do that! It didn't lather too much, but that doesn't bother me. My scalp is definitely clean. It also helped lift my roots a little bit when I got out of the shower and my hair air dried a little bit. I have fine hair that is dyed and hangs straight when it gets dried out. Some curly hair shampoos I've tried bring out the wave and make it feel thicker but do not rinse clean and cause break out. With Pacifica Wave Texturing shampoo a small amount creates a big lather, it rinses clean, leaving my hair feeling soft and healthy and full of waves. I am a hair product junkie and love to find products that allow my hair to be at its best. For the record, I have wavy hair that tends to be dry and frizzy at times. After shampooing with Extra Love Shampoo, I applied the conditioner for about 3 minutes. My hair felt soft and healthy which was exactly how it looked when it was dried. I would have loved a bit more hydration, but I’m sure a deep treatment or mask would be able to deliver that. Overall, great results and definitely a conditioner I would keep on rotation. I have natural curly hair, and using the IGK Extra Love Shampoo was not what I expected. It had a floral-like scent which was nice. The texture was creamy. Once I applied it, it did not lather. I massaged it on my scalp and roots, but it felt like all it did was dry up my hair. I don’t feel like my hair is clean, since I’m my hair feels more like it was stripped off its oils. Do I see any volume? A little bit but not enough for me to be wowed. Ok – IGK does it AGAIN! This haircare brand can do no wrong in my book. My hair is thin and usually gets pretty oiling fast so I am quite picky about my shampoo because I need that super clean, but not stripped hair kinda clean. My hair felt super soft and scalp felt so clean, i was able to go 3 days without washing – thats a huge win in my book! The scent did not bother me, it did not really stand out to me either. I am in love with Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo! This is my first time trying Pureology and I had no idea what to expect. The first thing I noticed about the smooth perfection shampoo was the scent, I loved the hints of cocoa. Upon first application I decided to use a small amount and I am glad I did, a little bit goes a long way with this shampoo. I have really long hair and I only had to use a quarter size amount or less. I want to point out that I always have to use a handful of shampoo when I use my usual drugstore brand, so I was shocked by how little I had to use of the pureology. I massaged the shampoo in my hair for a good 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. My hair felt so soft and clean without feeling stripped at all. I typically have a lot of fallout when I wash my hair, but noticed less strands of hair coming out while washing. I followed up by using the pureology smooth perfection conditioner. I also use a quarter size amount or less and it was more than enough. I focused this conditioner at the ends of my hair and put whatever was leftover on my roots. I let the conditioner sit for the recommend time of 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. I felt like it took no time to wash all of the conditioner out. My hair was less tangled and overall felt so much healthier than what I am used to. I used the smoothing lotion on the ends of my hair, blow dried my hair and was so amazed by the end result. The end result after I blow dried and straightened my hair was incredible. My hair was less frizzy and more straight making it so easy to straighten. I would like to add that my hair is very wavy/curly and frizzy after washing. The price for the Pureology Smooth Perfection set is a bit expensive, but honestly it is worth every penny. I got this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for my honest review. I really loved how this product worked for my hair. It left it so smooth and silky. It lathered really nicely and felt great when I washed it. It also rinsed out nice and easy and left my scalp feeling great. When I blew my hair dry it was like silk. Absolutely fabulous! Only negative, which I was REALLY surprised about, was the scent of this product. It was not pleasant at all to me and not something like I’ve ever smelled in a shampoo. I received this product from influencer pureology, but all opinions are completely my own. I have enjoyed using this shampoo. I find that the combination of the shampoo conditioner does help smooth my long hair and does really help smooth frizz. The shampoo cleanes hair great, good lather though it can make hair feel only slightly stripped. Conditioner is a nice one that helps smooth but doesn't overdo it and cause hair to feel heavy. Both help cleanse and Condition my hair without feeling too dry or too weighed down. The heat protectant from this line is nice and I feel it helps smooth hair and help make it somewhat softer. It doesn't help much with tangles though. Overall a good smoothing system that helps with frizz. I would recommend anyone trying it out.shona.d

I bought the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner based on the great reviews and I am very disappointed. To clarify, I have extremely fine, thin and flat hair so I am always trying new shampoo and conditioner to try to boost volume and promote growth and so far nothing has really done the trick. Back to this specific shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is fine, smells great VERY strong minty scent if that is not your thing and gives you that tingling feeling which is nice. However, the conditioner was the WORST I have ever experienced for my type of hair. It left it so dried out and extremely tangled when I got out of the shower, it was the most horrendous thing to comb through. I would rip so much of my hair out every morning from combing, it was that tangled. So, if you want to use the shampoo and substitute with another conditioner like I had to do then its totally fine. But I would definitely NOT recommend the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree conditioner.Anonymous

My hairstylist recommended it to me after seeing that I had a flaky scalp that wasnt dandruff. I had been using Head and Shoulders and Selsun Blue to help, but I really hated how gunky they were, and didnt realize I didnt have dandruff but an incredibly sensitivedry scalp. When she told me that this would balance my scalp, I decided to give it a go. Its an all right product 2 weeks in, the scent and tingly feeling are the real attractive features. It helped for about a week and then my scalp decided to flake only on the edges of my hair line. I wash my hair every night with it and use the conditioner every 23 days. Its a thick product and it doesnt rinse as easily as other shampoos for me. I gave it higher stars because I believe my hair has actually improved using it. Its softer and brighter, but this doesnt help with frizz. I will not be buying it again as I dont think its appropriate to treat my sensitive dry scalp.Anonymous

This is my favorite shampoo, and Ive been using it for months now. I suffer from extremely oily roots and dry ends, and this takes care of it. My hairdresser suggested that I try this, and although I skeptical I decided to try it anyway. While washing my hair the first time I could actually feel the shampoo washing away all of the oil that was on my scalp, and it felt amazing. Another plus what that it smelled absolutely amazing. After I dried my hair I noticed right away that it was much cleaner than it normally was, and my hair was not as limp as normal either. My hair dried better and it felt amazing. My roots were clean but the roots of my hair had not been overly dried either. The second day when my hair normally turns into a grease monster was amazing. My hair had little to no grease in it until the very end of the day, and I easily fixed that with a little bit of dry shampoo, and I could have gone a third day without washing if I had wanted too. This product really gets everything clean and keeps it clean, which is a problem with other products hair is clean but doesnt stay clean. As a woman with wavy hair that frizzes horribly whenever the humidity is high, and let's be honest, the humidity is high in the Southeast, I thought I'd try out Naturelle Biotera Anti-Frizz Intense Smoothing Shampoo and Naturelle Biotera Anti-Frizz Intense Smoothing Conditioner. I purchased my product at a local Sally's Beauty Supply, and they said that if I didn't like the product that I could return it, which is a win win situation for the customer. What I didn't realize until I was using the product is that for the best results, Biotera recommends using not only the shampoo and conditioner but the leave in conditioner as well. Since I didn't buy the leave in conditioner, my review is solely on the shampoo and conditioner. For those of you who don't like a strong scent, then you'll be pleased with the light scent of this product. The aroma has hints of cinnamon apple. Where I love the scent of cinnamon and apple, I personally don't care for the two scents to be mixed together, so this was a negative for me, even with it being lightly scented. Despite me not using the leave in conditioner, the products worked exceptionally well on my hair while we had several days of rain. There was the slightest bit of frizz, but that was nothing compared to how bad my hair normally frizzes in the rain. I was very pleased with the results. The pricing is a little bit higher for the Naturelle Biotera Anti-Frizz Intense Smoothing Shampoo and Naturelle Biotera Anti-Frizz Intense Smoothing Conditioner than what I pay for TRESemmé or Herbal Essences. So I really loved this shampoo when I first started using it. My hair felt nice and shiny. I've been using it about 3 months now and in the last month or so I've noticed my scalp is crazy dry and itchy. I figured it was the Arizona sun, until I realized my hair has thinned about 50%. I have tried the original and the generic version and while there's a slight difference, it is not enough to make worth the price difference. Biolage shampoo has a delightfully clean and fresh smell to it. Lather is nice but it stripped the heck out of my color. Yes I should have used the color safe version but I didn't and so here we are. Ha! I do feel that it stripped TOO much from my hair in terms of natural oils. Left my hair a bit "squeaky" and flat. The conditioner brought back some life, but sometimes I just want to shampoo without using conditioner and this is not the product for that. It's a bit pricey but trust me its worth it. I was tired of my hair feeling gross, dry on the ends and oily at the roots. I threw away all my other garbage shampoos and I finally found the shampoo of all shampoos. Def sticking with this one a little lathers up a bunch. So, I hesitated about writing this review because I don’t like to complain, and I did love this product when I first purchased it. My hair was soft, smelled great, and I even had people commenting on the health & shine it had. I loved this product so much I stocked up on it.

About a year into using this shampoo and conditioner duo along with the leave in treatment I noticed an unusual amount of hair fall. I thought nothing of it assuming it was my hair screaming at me for the heat/hair dye ect. However, I noticed it more and more and after 6 months of extreme shedding I decided I should look into what was going on. First i started taking supplements (Womens vitamins and biotin) assuming it was my dreadful diet to blame. No change. I put a shower head filter in to filter my shower water. No change. Then I went cold turkey on heat styling, and stopped using hair dye. Nothing seemed to help. I even bought different ‘it’s a 10’ products to try to “strengthen” my hair. I attempted to not wash my hair but once a week… still incredible amounts of fall out. I was lost. Finally I changed shampoo. I started noticing in the shower less and less fall out, soon brushing my hair produced less wads of hair to clean from my brush. It seems I have found the culprit. I have spent 6 months trying to identify what I was doing wrong, and all signs point to “it’s a 10”.

I’m posting this not out of anger, or spite, but because everywhere I looked I saw “how great” this product is …. I even asked my hair dresser what she recommended for hair fall and she asked what I use and I told her “it’s a 10” and she raves about how great the product is.

my hair is incredibly thin and I have little baby regrowth. I don’t want someone else to go through what I did and change shampoo when it’s too late. So if u r using it’s a 10 and noticing a lot of fall out… maybe it just doesn’t work for us?

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It's a shame so many people left 1 star reviews because it just didn't work for them. It would be different if there was something wrong with customer service or the product itself. However, with skin care, nail care, and hair care so much of whether or not it'll work for you is left biology and body chemistry and you have to try different products to find the one that works with yours. So it's really unfair to leave negative reviews on products that don't match up with your unique chemistry.wifeofsauron

So far so good! I have been using the Hask keratin deep conditioning packets and really liked the results. When I saw the full size bottle of the keratin smoothing shampoo and conditioner for such a reasonable price I grabbed them. My hair is very thick, dry, wavy/curly, color treated with some frizz. I used the product last night. It lathered very easily and rinsed very nicely, there was a little bit of a clean squeak after I rinsed and surprisingly I did not feel any film on my hair at all. The fragrance was very light and not at all unpleasant to me. I noticed a difference immediately It actually does what it says and smoothed The hair cuticle. Usually I have to flat iron my hair to get it very smooth. This product works My hair was very smooth, soft, and shiny. I've read other reviews on this product claiming that it dried out the scalp being that I only used it once I will revisit this review to see if it has the same effect on my scalp. So far I will recommend it if you have a hair type that is similar to mine.jackie.c

I got this shampoo by accident instead of the Argan Shampoo to go with the Argan Conditioner, though it's a great combination. This shampoo does seem to make my hair shed less and feel healthier. It lathers up pretty easily and gives my hair a fresh, clean feeling. The only problem is, like other Keratin Shampoos I've tried, it kinda leaves your hair feeling dry, which won't go well if you don't use the proper treatment after. To moisturize your hair, get the Argan Conditioner to go with this. Like I said I bought two different products by accident, but it's a great mix. Keratin for healthy hair and Argan to moisturize after. NOTE: Make sure the bottle isn't broken when you're about to buy in-store! I got one from the store and after a couple uses, the bottle started to crack. The plastic is pretty weak, be careful.Cassie33luv

I have straight black hair, medium thickness, and generally need to shampoo at least once every 1.5 days before I start looking greasy. I love this shampoo and will continue to use this as long as they make it. For me, it does exactly what it advertises: leaves my hair feeling clean but not stripped/squeaky clean, doesn't feel like it leaves any residue, and is gentle enough that I can shampoo on a daily basis and it doesn't make my hair feel dry. It always leaves my hair shiny and feeling smooth. I also appreciate that the scent isn't a heavy perfume-y type of smell.nappingpanda

The water where I live is somewhat hard so I was looking for some extra moisture. All of the reviews I read said this product is so amazing and I don't know if someone was getting paid to make the reviews, but it is one of the worst products I have used for that kind of price tag. My hair has never been more dry. I tried using it for two weeks and it was never soft or shiny, just dull and dry. This is very overpriced and not worth it.Nikikali

This is my all-time favorite shampoo. I have fine, thick, curly, and highlighted hair. This shampoo is gentle and color-friendly. It cleans my hair without drying it out and leaves it fresh and smelling great. I have read a ton of reviews about people with scalp issues who benefited from this shampoo. I am exactly the same: my scalp can easily get itchy and irritated, and this shampoo took care of that problem. My scalp is balanced and calm with no bumps or redness. I do want to add that my type of hair does not respond well to the Seaweed Conditioner. It’s not irritating, it just isn’t moisturizing enough. Do yourself a favor and try this!julieamymom
